So i'm on chapter 5 of camp damascus now and holy shit i love it so much more than i expected i would (and i already had high expectations for it given it's written by chuck tingle)

Like I've never been particularly moved by creature horror, so i really like this focus on pachid and ramiel as objects of horror not just by virtue of what they are (demons) but as a representation of what has been done to rose by the people she loves and trusts most in the world, and which she is slowly starting to come to terms with

also, the scene with the other girl who she can't remember made me so so sad. I hope they make it out of this
