I think about times when Amity is trying to relax after the brawl super skinny and shorter than Ed that he’s actually carrying her front ways he’s got his arms underneath her pits and he’s just dangling her letting her dingle dangle from his arms gripping her like a limp teddy bear 🧸 She’s wearing an Azura book t-shirt and shorts with no socks on. Her vibrant purple hair back in a small sloppy pointy/half bun

Edric’s wearing his pjs/casual wear with his glasses a pair of slippers or white and gray socks. He’s swaying her sweetly because he enjoys holding her. Emira too is wearing pjs/her more casual look with maybe a sweatshirt and socks she notices and clips the metal tongs at him. “Edric put her down!” (Tink-Tink) Pinch! Pinch! She makes the sound aiming for him.

He easily dodges lifting he heightens sister laughing at her and Mittens. While Amity’s just briefly bored deadpanning him.

“It’s actually astonishing Em. I just wanna see her gain one more pound. To get a little bit heavier so she won’t be soo easy to hold. But then again.. it’s too easy and we love it. She loves it isn’t that right “Mittens?” He playfully squishes her cheeks in his fingers. *”I Will Bite you.”* Amity mumbles.. “Doon’t make me hurt you.”

Edric scoops her into a cradled baby/Princess hold.

“Oh! Oh! Really? Sassy Miss thing? Come on Miss Witch. Whatcha’ gonna doo?”

Amity’s just laughing kicking and squirming but she can’t break free.

“What’re you gonna doo? You got nothing! You can’t break free!”

Em shakes her head at this nonsense but she laughs. “Get out of the kitchen! Nimrods! Take your sack of potatoes with you!”

“Eehehem!! You have the power to ehehend this!”

Emira winkles her nose and just smirks playfully at Amity. “Keep on growing Mittens! Maybe~ Someday.”

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

I'm getting so sick of major female characters in historical media being incredibly feisty, outspoken and public defenders of women's rights with little to no realistic repercussions. Yes it feels like pandering, yes it's unrealistic and takes me out of the story, yes the dialogue almost always rings false - but beyond all that I think it does such a disservice to the women who lived during those periods. I'm not embarrassed of the women in history who didn't use every chance they had to Stick It To The Man. I'm not ashamed of women who were resigned to or enjoyed their lot in life. They weren't letting the side down by not having and representing modern gender ideals. It says a lot about how you view average ordinary women if the idea of one of your main characters behaving like one makes them seem lame and uninteresting to you.

Remember the 6 year old girl who was surrounded by Israeli tanks and the red crescent couldn't reach her? Her name is Hind Hamadeh. Here you can hear the phone call her 15 year old sister, Layan Hamadeh, made with the medics. She was killed exactly a moment later including all people in the car, except for 6 year old Hind who was stuck in the car with the dead bodies of her family, Israeli tanks and IDF surrounding her, shooting, preventing anybody to reach her.

That was last night (29.1.24). Today, still nothing. The fate of Hind remains unknown.

palestine red crescent ambulance team went to rescue her yesterday evening, but they have not returned as of now. We lost contact with them about 18 hours ago, and we still remain unaware of their fate and whether they succeeded in evacuating her or not.
