Sully's Stick Together
Sully Family x GN! Dream Walker Reader (Platonic) | Word Count: 1376 Words
Reader is Jake’s age.
Part 2 of ‘Stories of the Sky People’
Tumblr media
It was pure chaos, my body moved before my brain did. As the boys dove into the open water, I lunge at Neteyam forcing him out of the way of the whizzing bullets.
“NETEYAM MOVE!” I roar as throw him out of harms way. The water collided with my aching form as I gulp in a helping of sea water. The fires heat licked at my skin as I broke the surface, coughing up the water from my lungs.
“Lo’ak! Neteyam! BOYS!” I call as they quickly swam in my direction, I pull them into me, forcing them to swim to a rocky outcrop with the help of my Ilu. I wheeze as I staunch my wound with my hand as Lo’ak clambers to shore followed closely by Neteyam.
“You boys, ok? You hurt?” I question looking over their bodies for any visible wound. A gasp rang from the two of them.
“You’ve been shot (Y/n)!” Lo’ak calls panicked, eyes pricking with tears as Neteyam instantly jumped into action and helping me staunch the bullet hole.
“Lo’ak get the leather wrap from (Y/n)’s Ilu, QUICKLY!” Neteyam ordered his little brother. I had fallen silent, observing the young Na’vi scamper around frantically, my eyesight blurring, I began to sway as the blood continued to trickle down Neteyam’s arms. Seeing my struggle to stay up right Neteyam lowered me with the help of Lo’ak to the ground, he stuffed the leather into my wound earning a cry from me which only made Lo’ak cry harder as Neteyam tried to hold himself together for all us.
“NETEYAM, LO’AK!” Jake yells as he and Neytiri dismount and skid to my side.
“Dad, (Y/n) protected us! They took the bullet! I-I don’t know what to do.” Lo’ak cried as he pushed down with Neteyam. Poor Neteyam looks up to his parents for guidance as Jake took station on my other side and rolled me over gently breathing a sigh of minor relief as there was no exit wound.
“Stay awake (Y/n), you ain’t dying here.” Jake comforts as he takes me up into a bridal style, I bit down on my lip as my chest heaved.
“I promised you that I would protect this family.” I groan as my eyes began to roll up into my skull.
“That you did, and you will continue to, you are one of us. Sully’s stick together, you hear me?” Jake replied as he handed me off to Neytiri.
“I’ll get the girls, get them to Ronal now.” Jake ordered as Neytiri gracefully took me into her arms and connected to her Ikran.
I then feel into darkness, the last thing I hear is Neteyam and Lo’ak’s cries as they headed to get their sisters with Jake.
I wasn’t sure how long I was unconscious; my body was paralysed as all I could do was listen to the bustling of the Metkayina outside, that’s when I heard a conversation between Jake, Neytiri and Ronal.
“They’re in a state of comatose. It’s up to Ewya’s divine judgment from here. I have done all I can do unfortunately.” Ronal solemnly says. I could just about see Jake’s face contort with anguish just by his tone.
“Shit comatose? - how are the kids going to take this, they-they rely on them, just as much as they do on us. It will destroy them if (Y/n) dies here. Isn’t there anything else you can do? Anything at all?”
“Jake- I understand the bond your family has to (Y/n), but as I said before, it’s up to Eywa now-”
“THEY HAVE BEEN ASLEEP FOR A WEEK NOW! THEY ARE LIKE A SIBLING TO ME. I CAN’T LOSE ANYONE ELSE”
“Ma Jake- everything will be ok. Trust in Eywa.” Neytiri tried to reason, she sounded absolutely exhausted.
“I will give you some time alone.” Ronal mediates as I hear her dive into the water.
I wanted so badly to hug Jake and help the Sully’s through this terrible time, but all I could do was listen.
That’s when I hear six sets of feet come towards me. I feel a gentle pressure of what I assumed to be little Tuk curling into my good side, Lo’ak sat by my feet, Kiri to the other side of Lo’ak, Neteyam sitting beside his Father by my head along with Neytiri… but I couldn’t feel the presence of Spider at all… how strange.
“Mumma, will (Y/n) be ok?” Tuk whimpered as she played with my arm cuffs, her large amber eyes bore into the heartstrings of Neytiri, Jake and I.
‘Oh Tuk-’ I think, longing desperately to bring her into my arms.
“They are alright, they are just asleep.” Neytiri comforts, running her fingers through my tangled braids.
“Oh Eywa. Please bring them back to us…” Kiri muttered, her eyes brimmed with tears, she gently traced the scratches that adorned my skin, muttering prayers under her breath.
Lo’ak was silent, but the sounds of his ragged breathing gave him away.
After a moment Kiri began to sing, her notes gentle with a slight waver from tears, Tuk quickly catching onto her older sisters drift.
I instantly recognised it to be a song I used to sing to them as babies when Jake and Neytiri could not get them to sleep.
Neteyam and Lo’ak joined in humming, creating a soothing bass tone.
Jake began to sing the vocals, his voice strong amongst the raging waves outside.
I thought I could protect you From paying for my sins And I’ve been walking this earth long enough that that’s a gift Been living this life so patient…
I know that if I die my only choice is still defending No matter what they say My love for you is greater than their powers and their armies From above.
Neytiri joined her Husband in the Lyrics, both of their voices combining into one blissful harmony that would bring even Eywa to her knees.
You give me strength I’m with you either way If I die, If I stay Give me strength I’m with you either way Nothing’s lost No more pain, just give me strength…
I felt a tear run down my cheek, I so desperately wanted to open my eyes, but it felt like they were stitched shut. I felt Neytiri take hold of my open palm and holding it to her own cheek as she saw me cry silently. Jake discarded the tear from my skin, moving my hair from my sweaty brow. Tuk grasped my other hand placing a delicate kiss to my wrist. Lo’ak and Kiri cuddled up to my side gripping at my abdomen, seeking comfort as they saw my inner struggle. Neteyam rested his hand on my collar bone just above my wound.
The Sully’s continued to whisper prayers to Eywa, never moving from my side. We all laid together for what felt like an eternity as I finally gained the strength, to pry my eyelids open ever so slowly.
The world was blurry with six blue blurs leaning over me in my peripherals.
“(Y/n)! Your finally awake! I knew you were gonna be alright!” Tuktiery exclaimed over me, diving onto my chest in uncontrollable joy, tears pouring down her chubby cheeks like waterfalls.
A startled and pained gasp erupted from my throat at the sudden impact so close to the bullet wound.
“TUK!” Everyone gasped. Neteyam immediately grasped Tuk, pulling her off me with ease.
“Sorry (Y/n)…” Tuk whimpered collapsing into my arm in shambles. My voice was raw so all I could do was slowly draw my arm in on Tuk, a pitiful embrace.
“I’m so grateful that Eywa brought us back to us dear (Y/n).” Neytiri smiled as my fingers reciprocate her hold.
“As I.” Jake tearfully uttered. The Toruk Makto. Crying so openly was a sight to behold.
Kiri, Lo’ak and Neteyam silently observed in bliss as they family remains whole, unshaken even in the face of the Sky People’s destruction.
“I-I told you that I would protect this family.” I gently whisper. Their sensitive ears tuning into my strained words.
This brought on loving smiles from all the Sully’s as they all held me that much closer.
Sully’s stick together. That’s a promise I intend to keep.

Suffering in Silence
Sully Family x Fem Autistic Dream walker! Reader (Platonic) Word Count: 965 Words
A/N | I just watched ATWOW today, and can I just say I cried my eyes out and it was absolutely stunning. No spoilers don’t worry :) This is a vent fic based on my own experiences as an autistic individual!
TW: break-downs, panic attack, screaming, self depreciation, minor SH (hair pulling, hitting oneself)
The reader is the same age as Neteyam.
Tumblr media
I knew I was different than the rest of the Na’vi, I was taken in by the Sully’s as an infant…but I was different. Even Jake didn’t understand me. Why did I feel so foreign in my own mind. I couldn’t handle the bustle of clan life, my composure breaking down at the constant overwhelming stimulation. I saw the look in my siblings’ eyes and the eyes of my parents, was it embarrassment or pity? I have no idea. I cried and screamed silently at night as I didn’t want to be even more of a burden to them, well that’s what I thought of myself.
It was a normal morning and I had said my goodbyes as I went off exploring the forests of the Omaticaya. But I wasn’t in the best state of mind. A series of self-deprecating thoughts swirled in my mind of how I brought shame to the family and how I was useless. In the depths of my mind, I didn’t see Jake nod to Neytiri as I left the stronghold on my Ikran.
I land in a cove around twenty minutes or so away and dismount. In the centre of the cove is a crystal-clear pond, I pet my Ikran on the nose before sitting by the water’s edge, I gaze at my reflection as tears well up in my eyes. My face distorting with the spell of emotion as I reflect. With a shaky breath I leant against the trunk of a looming tree and curling myself in a ball, rocking back and forth in a fruitless attempt to quell the ache in my head and heart.
I hate feeling like a failure, and I longed to be fit in. My body convulsed as screams clutched at my vocal cords, yet I didn’t let out a sound. My composure slipping through my finger like sand as my head flicked left and right as a stress response, my heels grinding into the rocks as if my soul was trying to escape. I’m not sure I’m in control anymore.
In my state of weakness, I failed to hear the landing of Ikran’s and two gasps before I was swarmed in a flash of blue.
And that’s when I screamed.
A piercing scream finally broke free making the blurry figures stumble back.
“GO!” I scream, ashamed that they had to see me like this.
“Baby girl…” Jake whispered as he crouched down about an arm’s length away. “Can I come closer” His eyes boring into mine, making me ball up tighter. I couldn’t bear the pressure of looking into his eyes, my fingers wound tightly into my braids and harshly tugged, grasping for any sense of relief.
“Hey-hey now” Jake spoke, and he gently pried my fingers out of my hair, his hand engulfing the crown of my skull as I throw my head back into the bark of the tree, his hand protecting my queue. Hushing noises came from Neytiri as she crawled up beside me and placed a hand on my knee to stop me from kicking. I was hyperventilating at this point as I whimpered out in between breaths.
“I-I’m sorry” I cry.
“It’s ok baby girl, just breathe” Jake murmurs, rubbing his thumb under my eye taking my tears away and taking in deep breaths urging me to copy.
“Don’t be sorry, there is nothing to be sorry for (Y/n)” Neytiri states, her eyes boring concern yet she stayed unmoving, like a rock in a rushing river.
I continued to rock myself and following Jakes breathing as he opened his arms up for a hug. I was slowly gaining my senses back as I fell into his awaiting embrace. After a while of Neytiri’s comforting gaze and Jake’s hand running up my spine, I spoke. “Can we go home now?” I whisper into his dreadlocks exhausted.
“Sure can, kiddo.”
Jake took me on his Ikran and Neytiri and my own followed closely behind, we soon arrived home to an awaiting Neteyam, Kiri, Lo’ak, Tuk and Spider.
Sighs of relief are heard when they spotted me hiding behind Jake’s legs, his and Neytiri’s hands intertwined with my own.
“(Y/n)! You’re home!” Tuk called as she came barrelling into my legs, earning a small smile from me, I miss the loving look Jake and Neytiri send each other.
“Glad to see you’re safe sister” Neteyam called as he gave me a pat on the shoulder as we enter the home.
“You alright (Y/n)? I’ll find out if anyone hurt you and ill show them not to mess with the Sully’s” Lo’ak called as he caught me affectionately in a headlock before being swiftly removed by Neteyam as he called him a Skxawng (moron).
“Oh (Y/n), you’re not hurt, are you?” Kiri questions with her brows knitted.
“No, no. I’m fine.” I murmur my voice fragile from wailing and screaming myself raw, Tuk feeling my mood she wrapped my calf in a tight embrace as I lean and caress her scalp with a smile.
Spider stayed relatively silent as he watched from afar as I go and lay down in the bed. Utterly drained from the emotional distress I had to endure.
With a heavy sigh I lay gingerly on my back and let my eyes fall closed. That was until I felt everyone clamber into the bed around me, shielding from the outside world. As everyone got comfortable, I relaxed into Jakes side with Neteyam to my other and Tuk splayed on top of me.
“We love you (Y/n); we will always be here for you.” Everyone whispered as we all rested together. I couldn’t help the tear slip down my features as I fell into a blissful sleep surrounded by my family. The family who loves my unconditionally.

Stories of the Sky People
Sully Family x GN!Dream Walker Reader (Platonic) | Word Count: 1209 Words
Synopsis: Tasked with watching the Sully kids while Jake and Neytiri are away leads (Y/n) to recite the ‘Ugly Duckling’ story by Hans Christian Anderson, one of their favourite stories back on Earth to keep the kids occupied until their parent return.
The reader is the same age as Jake.
Tumblr media
I never knew my life would turn out like this, taken in by a world many light years away from my birthplace. I have finally found my place amongst the people of Pandora. In particular. In the embrace of the Sully family.
Back on Earth Jake and I were both marines. Him an ex-soldier since he became paralysed. And me? I was a Captain yet also resigned alongside Jake when I lost my leg from a mine.
It was tough for the both of us. But our injuries bound us together through the worst times in our lives. We quickly became like siblings to each other, and we mourned together when we got news that Tom was killed in action. That was when we were both requested to join the Avatar program. They needed Jake to pilot Tom’s avatar and my own avatar was approved to begin the growing process since they deemed me a suitable candidate to gain information on the Na’vi.
We had nothing left to loose, so we signed the papers without hesitation and began our new lives.
That leaves us with today, I sat in the family home with Tuktiery in my lap. Kiri sitting to my left, Lo’ak to my right, Neteyam sitting cross legged in front of me and Spider laid beside Neteyam. I was one their own, like an Auntie/Uncle to the young Na’vi. I made jokes and orchestrated pranks on their Father just to see Jake flick me the finger as we all ran from the scene of the crime.
“So, what happened then?” Tuk gasped her yellow eyes wide with wonder.
“The Mother duck came to realise that one of her babies didn’t look like the rest, they were grey and much larger than their tiny yellow siblings. Yet that didn’t matter to her. She leads all the babies into the water watching them swim along with her, even the grey baby. The mother was happy that her grey baby swam like the rest and thought to herself “Why, that's no turkey," she said. "See how nicely he uses his legs, and how straight he holds himself. He's my very own son after all, and quite good-looking if you look at him properly. Quack, quack come with me. I'll lead you out into the world and introduce you to the duck yard.” My quaking impression got a chuckle out of the kids as my smile also grew at their happiness.
All the Sully Children were wrapped up in the story, maybe it resonated with them in a sense. Being half human and half Na’vi, well in Spider’s case, a human amongst the Na’vi. Feeling like an outlier in their clan.
“The Mother duck’s friends complimented all of her children yet insulted the grey duckling, the grey duckling was pecked at and shunned by all the different animals, the other ducks, the hens, the humans. So, when he grew up, he left.”
A gasp left the five children at this twist.
“Oh no! Poor grey duckling!” Tuk whimpered. I ran my hand up and down her back in a comforting manner.
“The story isn’t over yet Tuk.” I stated with a smile as I continued, “The grey duckling flew away from his Mother, sick of the treatment from all the other animals. He then found his way to a lake that had elegant white swans. The grey duckling said to himself "I shall fly near these royal birds, and they will peck me to bits because I, who am so very ugly, dare to go near them. But I don't care. Better be killed by them than to be nipped by the ducks, pecked by the hens, kicked about by the hen-yard girl, or suffer such misery in winter."
“The poor grey duckling thought himself as ugly because that was all anyone, but his mother had told him. But in fact, he was quite wrong. As he lands in the clear waters exclaiming to the beautiful swans to kill him, he bowed his head and caught his reflection. He was no longer the reflection of a clumsy, dirty, grey bird. He himself was a swan! Being born in a duck yard does not matter, if only you are hatched from a swan's egg.”
“He was praised by the other swans and the other animals of the yard. He felt so very happy, but he wasn't at all proud, for a good heart never grows proud. He thought about how he had been persecuted and scorned, and now he heard them all call him the most beautiful of all beautiful birds. He sang out "I never dreamed there could be so much happiness, when I was the ugly duckling."
“Awwwwww~” Kiri cooed, “I’m glad the duck- I mean swan had a happy ending.”
Tuktiery had a big smile on her face as the conclusion of the story. Neteyam had a warm look in his eyes and Lo’ak lent back on his hands with a smile on his own face. Spider has a grin on his as he looked to the woven floors.
“I loved that story when I was little, Mum used to read it to me every night” Jake stated with a warm smile recalling his memories, as he entered the home alongside Neytiri. I gesture to them ‘I see you’ and the kids quickly follow suit, as Jake and Neytiri sign back.
“Got into any trouble when we were gone (Y/n)?” Neytiri asked with a smirk on her face.
I gasp in mock horror. “Me Neytiri? Never” I said with my own smirk. “I was just telling the kids some of the stories from Earth.”
“Yes Mum! (Y/n) always has cool stories from the sky!” Tuktiery excitedly stated, yet stifling a yawn.
“Earth, baby. We came from Earth.” I correct.
“Yeah, Earth!” Tuk giggled.
“That was a wonderful story (Y/n), thank you for sharing it with us” Neteyam thanked with a warm smile and nod.
“No worries Neteyam, anytime.” I smile as I lean forward to ruffle his hair dragging a laugh from him.
“I think it’s time for bed, I think” Jake says as he watches Tuk drift in and out of sleep in my arm. This gets a hum of acknowledgement from Neytiri and I as we all move into bed. Jake gently pries Tuk from my arms as she settles quickly into her Father’s arms. Jake lays down in the middle, Neytiri to his right and me to the left. Kiri curls up by my side as Neteyam cuddles with his Mum and Spider wedges his way in-between Jake and I, that’s when Lo’ak decided to lounge across everyone gaining a groan from all of us.
“Lo’ak move your butt!” Spider groans and he kicks Lo’ak in the shin.
“Owwwww! Spider lay off!” Lo’ak wines yet doesn’t move an inch.
“Enough boys!” Jake scolds through his teeth, trying to keep Tuktiery asleep. That was enough to get Lo’ak to move and let poor Spider breathe.
“Sleep.” Neytiri states with her eyes shut.
I could only smile at Neytiri’s blunt parenting style.
“Sweet dreams everyone.” I murmur.
“Goodnight.” The Sully’s reply before we all fell into the embrace of sleep.
I would do anything to protect this family.

Hey! I was wondering if you could write headcanons for Lo'ak dating a female human?
Dating Lo'ak as a Human
Lo'ak x Fem!Sky Person | Word Count: 340 Words
The reader is the same age as Lo’ak.
Tumblr media
Lo’ak would always try his best to impress you, whether that be hanging from the branches by just his tail or landing a perfect bullseye, he thrived off the praise you so willingly gave him.
He would pick you up and carry you on his back just to show off how strong he was, you would laugh as Lo’ak would sprint along the forest floor, jumping over roots and bioluminescent flora and fauna.
Lo’ak would take you to his secret spots to enjoy the sunset as he would braid your hair while adding beads to match his own, like a subtle way to say you were taken.
Some nights he would lay awake and watch you sleep and marvelling at your features that are so foreign to his own kind, gently caressing your features and feeling the peach fuzz against his fingertips, a smile overtaking his features as you lean into his touch.
Wrapping his tail around your legs as you sleep while curling around you, shielding you from the bitter winds of the night.
Him caging you in his arms and nuzzling into your hair when you are trying to wake up to start the day as he just wants to enjoy the warmth of your body heat for a little while longer.
He would take you on flights with his Ikran, due to you not possessing a queue and doing flips and dives just you feel you hug him closer to your form.
Lo’ak loves to hear you sing your ‘sky people songs’ and he ends up humming them while you're apart.
Lo’ak teaching you Na’vi and you teaching him English <3
Lo’ak would get jealous if Spider or Neteyam would talk to you, he would walk up behind you and place a hand on the crest of your head while giving a tight-lipped smile to his brothers.
Secretly holding hands when Neytiri and Jake aren’t looking and quickly turning away from each other when Jake sneaks up behind the both of you and ruffles your hair laughing.

You’re One of Us Now.
Sully Family x GN!Reader (platonic) | Word Count: 1816 Words
Tw: Minor mention of Self Harm.
Written before the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, some facts may be inaccurate.
Synopsis: Having grown up in the confines of the RDA, you plan to fake your death on a data collection expedition to become one with the Pandoran jungle, yet you stumble across an unlikely family of Na’vi who take you in as one of their own.
The reader is seventeen.
Tumblr media
Pandora was all I had ever known, having grown up in the RDA’s base I understood the dangers of the world outside. Yet despite this I yearned for the embrace of the forest, yearned to live as one of the people, to leave humanity behind and forge a new life among the Omaticaya.
But I was a soldier, a weapon of war against my will… and I wanted out.
Yet for now I have to pose as a perfect cog in the machine. I conform to Quaritch’s rules to earn the privilege to be selected for intel expedition. Whist being a soldier, I was exceptional in navigation and botany. I hoped that my skills would put me as a candidate for the upcoming expedition in three days.
Standing at attention on the training grounds Quaritch marched back and forth eyeing us all off. He was more imposing than ever, the towering Navi body he embodied was enough to strike fear into even the toughest of men.
“All right ladies and gentlemen, in light of last expeditions failure in attempting to gather subsequent data of neurotoxins used by the Omaticaya, it has resulted in the loss of five of your fellow soldiers.”
My breath was caught in my throat as Quaritch listed off the names of the next team, that was until the final candidate was called, it was my own. I held in my smile as I knew it was my only chance of getting out of the program.
After being sent back to my room, I lay down on my cot and watch the raindrops dribble down the windowpane, I watch the wind sway the trees and animals call out into the night as the as I finalise my plan to escape under the noses of my squad.
Before I knew it, I was wearing the oxygen mask and prepped with my botany data collection devices. Stepping out of the pressure lock we march single file out of the gates and into the wilderness. My squad and I marched for what felt like hours before we reached a zone reading high levels of toxicity, as the five of us spread around the location collecting data on the flora I call out.
“I’m heading North-west as I see a specimen not yet recorded on the data bank.” My squad not even rearing their heads from their specimens made noises of understanding, one even calling out to “Watch out for the locals”.
Treading carefully, I come to a stop once I was sure I was out of sight before preparing my diversion. Taking my pocket knife out I slashed at the tress nearby mimicking the claw marks of a Thanator and spraying Thanator scents around the area. I then nicked my hands and smeared my blood around the scene, kicking the dirt around to mimic a struggle and my data devices leaving them strewn across the ground.
With a last bitter smile, I took the blade to my uniform and sawing off the crest of the RDA and leaving it as the scene. I then ran off into the unknown leaving my old life behind, blissful tears accumulating in my mask as I free myself from the shackles of humanity and let my mind and soul become one with the forests of Pandora.
I ran until my legs gave in as I collapse into a field of plush grass and I gaze up at my surrounds, trees loom over me shielding me from the light rains that wash over the lands. That’s when I heard a gasp and scampering nearby. My head darts to my left as I watch carefully for movement. That’s when I see her, a young Omaticayian girl crouched and almost invisible against the bioluminescence of the forest she dwells in.
“Hi, I won’t hurt you, I’m not with them.” I call as I see her eyes dilate and ears twitch with recognition of my words.
“Your human.” The Na’vi states yet remains hidden.
“Indeed I am.” I smile gently but I make no indication of moving as not to frighten the girl away.
After a moment of reflection, the Na’vi stands and walks towards me apprehensively, she towers over my sitting form as I gaze upwards. She points to herself.
“I’m Kiri, and you?”
“I’m (Y/n)”
“-(Y/n), what a strange name” Kiri mutters to herself but I couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at her words. Her eyes dart back to mine from my sudden noise. Kiri’s wide eyes trail down my figure, as if she was analysing me for any threat.
“KIRI, WHERE DID YOU GO?!” A man’s voice calls in Na’vi tongue from deeper in the forest.
“COMING FATHER!” Kiri calls back as she races towards the forest line, that was until her Father beat her there alongside two young boys trailing close behind, his eyes scan her form for injury as his eyes observe his surroundings… until his gaze lands on me. I sit there petrified of the look in his eyes.
Weariness and protective.
My breath catches in my throat, even if I wanted to run I couldn’t, it was like I was paralysed. He pulled Kiri behind him as the younger boys peeked out from behind their Father.
“Who are you and what are you doing this far in the Omaticaya’s lands” He spoke in fluent English.
“My name is (Y/n) (L/n), I was a soldier and botanist, I’ve abandoned the RDA to dedicate my heart to the forest and everything living within it.” I spoke with complete resolution despite my heart thumping in fear of what he would do to me.
He approached me as I remained sitting in fear that he would strike me down if I moved an inch. I gazed upon his imposing figure as his dreadlocks framed his stern eyes that flickered over my body.
His face contorted in a scowl once he spotted my pocket knife nestled in my boot. My gaze follows it, my gaze widened as I came to this realisation.
“Here.” I spoke curtly as I pulled the knife out and handing it to him keeping it closed. He took it and caught sight my wound on the palm of my hand.
“Your injured.” He spoke his tone softening as he gathered that I wasn’t a threat to his kin.
“Self-inflicted.”
His eyebrows furrowed in what appeared to be a hint of concern. I elaborated.
“I had to fake my death to escape… I used my blood to mimic a Thanator attack.”
“I see.” He said. He mulled over his thoughts for a moment before continuing.
“I’m Jake Sully. These are my some of kids, Kiri, Neteyam and Lo’ak.” He introduced gesturing behind him.
Kiri smiled back at me as she stuck up a little thumbs up in approval.
“So why did you leave the RDA (Y/n).”
I let out a sigh as my mind flashed back to my childhood within the RDA as I spoke carefully.
“I- I was born in the base, confined to its walls for years before being forged into a soldier. Yet despite this I always had a passion for botany – plants – I had yearned to be able to freely explore the forest and grew an appreciation for the Na’vi through the data files… I never thought I fit in… I felt like an outcast.” I took another breath to calm myself, “I understand if you want to kill me due to my affiliation, and I won’t hold any resentment to you or your people if you so decide.”
“Come.” Jake stated and offered me a hand. I accepted it without a second thought, my hand only wrapping around two of his fingers. Jake pulled me to my feet and proceeded to lead me deeper into to forest. Neteyam – I came to learn who was the oldest of the boys – spoke to me in curt English.
“Hello, I am Neteyam. You are short.” He stated, he seemed quite proud of himself for speaking to me. I smiled gently at his attempt of communicating with me.
“Hello Neteyam, I’m (Y/n). Nice to meet you. You are correct I am short.” I replied.
“I’m Lo’ak!” The shorter boy piped up. “I’m great at speaking Sky People language.”
“English Lo’ak. These Human’s speak English.” Jake corrected from his position from the front. Neteyam laughed and gave his younger brother a punch to the arm, which resulted in a yelp from Lo’ak. Jake spun around at the noise and glared at Neteyam as he deducted what happened.
“Apologise Neteyam.” Jake spoke in Na’vi.
“What!” Neteyam exclaimed.
“Now –” Jake growled baring his teeth. With a stutter Neteyam apologised picking at his fingers.
“S-sorryyy Lo’akkkk –” Neteyam apologised as he continued walking.
We soon reached a point where Jake motioned Kiri, Neteyam and Lo’ak to begin their accent up into the trees, they fly up the trunk with ease. Jake looked at me as I gape as how far the climb is. He then bent down and motioned me to climb onto his back. I gently pull myself onto his back careful not to bump his queue. We quickly reach the top and I see an intricately woven home nestled into the trees canopy. Standing on the edge of the home is Kiri, Neteyam, Lo’ak, an older Omaticayian woman I figured was their Mother with a small child in her arms… and a human boy.
“Neytiri, Spider, Tuktiery, I’m home” Jake called as he carefully slid me off his back. I nervously hide behind Jake at the look Neytiri was giving us.
“Jake why is there a human on your back.” She hissed in Na’vi.
“I can explain ‘Tiri.”
“Explain what? that you brought another human into our home.” My eyes widened as I try and quell the tremors of her wrath. The toddler – I assumed was Tuktiery – began to whine in her Mother’s arms as the commotion.
“They are not one of them, I can sense they are good, please trust me!” Jake begged his lover.
Neytiri glared down at me and let out a sigh.
“One chance Jake, one.” Neytiri caved.
“Thank you, my love.” Jake turned to me with a smile.
“You’re one of us now” He smiled his gaze falling down to my wound again. “Let’s get you cleaned up now.” Jake offered as he grabbed some medicinal berries, I had never seen in the data files before. My eyes shone and he crushed them into a paste and applied it before wrapping it in cloth. As he finished tying the knot Jake looked down to me and smiled softly.
“Your safe here, I understand what’s it’s like to not fit in.” He whispered for only me to hear.
“You were from the Avatar program weren’t you.” I stated in a whisper.
Jake could only smile knowingly at my statement.
“Welcome to the family.”

If you haven't done this one already, would you be ok with reader who takes care of an injured Aloy?
Let Me Take Care of You For Once, Please?
Aloy x Fem!Reader | Word Count: 995
Tumblr media
I sat in silence as I watched the rain trickle over the edge of the shelter. Aloy has been unconscious for around four hours as I wait patiently for her to wake. My throat is raw and my eyes stinging with oncoming tears as I observe her chest barely moving under her clothes and bandage peeking between her hair. I had already stripped her of her heavy armour, only leaving her undershirt, pants, and woollen boots to try and aid her body in healing.
I was unsure what to do at this point, having used all the remedies I had on my person and raided the chest at the shelter. Light rains branched across the sky soaking the soil underfoot, I wrapped my cloak around Aloy’s torso to keep the bite of the rain at bay. Perhaps All-Mother blessed us both when I stumbled across this site with a limp Aloy in my arms.
I was no Doctor, only a simple tinkerer – a tinkerer way out of their depth – I sat cross-legged beside my lover as I waited for Aloy to wake. My mind flashes back to the ambush.
Aloy and I were on another hunt for parts to improve Aloy’s draw power on her hunting bows. We were following the tracks of Leaplashers, and I thought their spark coils would be the most suitable. The path is clear until we reach a canyon enveloping the tracks. Aloy marched onwards as I trailed with my bow, spear, and blastsling holster.
The tell-tale screech of Leaplashers echoed throughout the canyon as they lock onto us from above.
A startled gasp falls from my lungs as several Leaplashers pounced down from above circling us both.
With a brief glance at Aloy, we immediately assumed our positions back-to-back. I launch an adhesive bomb into the Leaplashers' legs to subdue them and then infect them with purge water. Switching to my tear arrows I rip off their power cells and finish them off with an advanced hunter arrow. A strangled grunt left Aloy as I spun on my heel to see what happened, we were both launched across the dirt and rock by an Apex Leaplasher that appeared out of the blue.
Despite fronting the blow Aloy managed to dive her arm under my head as we collide with the sharp stone walls of the canyon. A wheeze left Aloy as a stone collided with her temple, rolling to a stop.
“Aloy!” I gasp as I roll over to see her slide limply down the wall. I immediately abandoned the hunt as I fire advanced adhesive bombs to slow down the machines, hauling Aloy into my arms and escaping into the grass.
I ran until the machines were no longer recognised by my focus, slowing down to catch my breath. Looking down I adjust Aloy in my grip wiping her hair away from her eyes as I see a shelter up ahead. That is what led us to the current predicament. I poke the fire with a piece of kindling watching the tip ignite slowly before throwing it into the fire with a sigh.
A groan awoke me from my stupor as I turn to see Aloy clutching her head, I shuffle closer to her and place my hand on top of hers.
“You hit your head pretty hard there, I cleaned you up as best I could with what we had on hand.”
“Ha – thanks for that, my love.” Aloy smiles before wincing, gingerly caressing her temple again.
“Just rest up, for the time being, we will head back to the base at sunrise,” I say as I press my side up against her as if shielding her from cold. I rummage through my satchel and pull out a wrapping of cloth, I unfold it to reveal two portions of preserved beef, I hand Aloy the larger one bracing her back as she moved to sit upright against me. I lean back on my non-dominate hand as we eat in blissful silence.
Aloy silently looks down at her portion and tears off a chuck offering it to me.
“Yours’s smaller, take some of mine.” Aloy offers, her eyes gazing at me through her fiery hair, concern swirling in her emerald eyes.
I could only smile graciously as I gently pushed her hand away and whispered, afraid to break the moment.
“It’s ok, my love. Take it, you need it more than me” I could only chuckle at the pout that formed on her features.
“Oh, come now, I’m not the injured one, am I?” I jest, wrapping my arm around her torso and rocking her lightly side to side with a giggle.
“Oh, shush you-” Aloy whispers playfully hitting my thigh that rests against her own.
We continued eating until I brush the remnants off on the cloth, I then lean over to clean off Aloy’s hands as well, despite the grumble that emitted from Aloy herself.
“Enough, let me take care of you for once? Please?” I whisper leaning into her to catch her gaze. With a sigh, she relinquishes and lets me clean between her fingers and under her nails.
With a satisfied huff, I place everything back into my backpack and aid Aloy back down on the bed roll with gentle hands. I then situate myself beside her and watch the small fire crackle away as Aloy slips into slumber. I pull myself as close to Aloy as I could get, my mind nagging me to keep her close in case her injury worsens. I lay there unable to sleep, staring at the gentle breaths of my beloved and keeping the hair out of her eyes.
“I love you- so much,” I whisper as I dig my nose into her shoulder falling into my own slumber.
“I love you more” Aloy whispers as her eyes crack open and gaze over my sleeping figure. Her arm draws me even closer as I subconsciously squeeze her back.

My Sun.

Tumblr media
It was a regular morning for Aloy and I, we had set out at the crack of dawn to hunt apex scrappers for parts of a new prototype spike thrower that I was working on. I haphazardly adjust my pack on my back as I try and keep in step with my lover as we trudged through the thick foliage of the Tenakth lowlands.
Aloy proceeded over a fallen log that spanned across an icy river below, she effortlessly made it across as she turned around and shot me a smile as she waved me onwards. Gripping the straps on my pack tightly I cautiously tiptoed my way through, yet halfway across my foot slipped on a patch of moss, I saw my world flip upside down as I closed my eyes, anticipating the icy depths. A startled noise slipped out of my throat I flailed desperately, yet a warm arm shot out and gripped onto one of my arms yanking me the rest of the way across.
A breathy laugh fell from Aloy’s lips as she pulled me into her chest, my ear touched her heart as I felt it erratically thumping in her chest. My face blossomed in embarrassment at my slip up and the close proximity we were currently in, no matter how long we have been together I can’t shake the flush from my cheeks.
“Thanks for saving my ass back there.” I chuckled as I grabbed fistfuls of her cape, trying to pull her closer to my form. With gentle hands, Aloy patted my back as she slowly parted with me giving me another gentle smile as she slipped her hand into mine now walking alongside me.
“Just don’t want you to fall and hurt yourself.” Aloy justified with a soft smile in my direction, my heart felt like it was set ablaze as I seemed to fall in love with her, even more, every single day. I couldn’t help the smile that grew as I gained a spring in my step and slowly swung our entwined hands as we walked.
We travelled like this for another half hour before I got this sinking feeling in my gut, it seemed like Aloy sensed it too as she pulled me against her and nocked an arrow into her bow. A twig crack was all it took for Aloy to draw her hand and call into the air, a commanding and threatening tone overtaking her.
“Come out with your hands raised or I fire!” Aloy shouted, the bite in her tone sending shivers down my spine, I slowly drew my spear in preparation for an ambush, I faced myself back-to-back to Aloy to eliminate blind spots and waited with bated breath for even the slightest indication of movement.
It was so sudden, not even the keenest of ears could have caught it, a single dart embedded itself into my neck where my armour didn’t quite reach, the effect was immediate. My world swayed as my breath hitched, the penetration of needle to skin and muscle, injecting a sedative substance straight into my bloodstream, within seconds my knees gave out and I gave out a meek call as my eyes rolled back into the depths of my skull.
“Aloy…”
My form dropped to the ground near lifeless as my bones became gelatine and all I could do was watch Aloy make erratic shots in the direction the dart came from; it was jarring compared to how strong her composure usually was faced with a threat. That’s also when Aloy staggered and dropped to the ground with a thud. I couldn’t bear to keep my eyes open as I began to slip into unconsciousness, the last thing my mind registered was heavily tattooed arms taking hold of my own and dragging me across the forest floor.
My body ached as I came back to consciousness, my mind throbbed as I peel myself from the jagged planks of the cell I was tossed into. My eyes came into focus as I took in the new environment. It was a small Tenakth camp, not any of the ones that Aloy or I have run across in the past. We were deep in the lowlands now, completely secluded, so much so that even the Sun’s rays did not dare reach here.
I was in my cell, bound by chains from a tree around five metres above the ground. My wrists chafe with the rope knotted around them, I halted with bated breath as I heard voices below us, afraid I would alert them that I was awake. That’s the moment my eyes caught Aloy. She was still unconscious and hanging in a cell to my right. The side of her face was bloody as if someone hit her to keep her pliant. My blood boiled as my teeth dug into my lower lip trying to stop myself from spiralling on what our captors did to her when I was out.
I felt around my person and confirmed that they had completely stripped us of our armour and weaponry. I shuffled across my cell to try and peek through the bars to see who we were up against.
“The redhead, yeah she’s the one they call the ‘saviour’. I reckon her head will be worth a pretty shard ay?” A man with a scar on his left cheek spoke, his mouth full of some sort of meat.
“I think the other chick was her partner, what do you think we should do with her? She’s not worth as much as the other one.”
“Leave her for the machines, or just kill her ass!” Another one with a missing eye chuckled as the other three members burst into laughter at the prospect of my demise. Bile rises into my mouth at the thought of getting shredded by machines or slowly bleeding out by my captors’ hands.
“Right let’s get on with it then, boss is waiting for them, bet he is gonna give us a fat raise with these ones.” The scarred one smiled, I could almost smell him from my cage.
As they all stood from the campfire I dropped back down and shut my eyes, I could feel the chain slackening as I was lowered to the ground. I stayed limp as I’m tossed into a wagon and withheld a grunt from escaping me at the impact. Soon after I feel Aloy land to my left, and a wheeze left her as she slowly comes to.
Her emerald eyes crack open yet quickly shut again at the sudden light, her gaze fell upon me as concern swirls within her irises.
‘Don’t move yet’ I mouth silently as I watch our captors disassemble the camp. A silent understanding bloomed between us, as our captor's backs were turned I ever so carefully inched my hand into Aloy’s, I gingerly take hold of her fingers, battered black and blue as we wait for their next move. As the Tenakth mount their chargers we lay lifelessly as the wagon began to move.
Twenty minutes pass as we arrive at an arena, my eyes widen in shock at all the Tenakth scream and shout in glee as an Utaru warrior fought a hoard of Clamberjaws. I watch the Utaru fall as severed limbs and blood sprayed into the sand, my breath hitching in my throat at the sight.
Soon after Aloy and I were kneeling before the ‘boss’ himself. A grizzled man covered head to foot in tribal tattoos and missing one of his arms. I was more aware of my bounds than ever, my skin inflamed and aggravated as I had struggled in the grips of our captors. I felt sick as I stare up at the man before me, I could sense Aloy seething from her place on my left as I felt her elbow bump against mine – a subtle way of comfort – I was scared beyond belief.
I didn’t want to die.
“My – my, what have we here? The Saviour of Meridian and her little girlfriend? Oh, what a treat! My customers will be pleased to witness this.” Our eyes widen in shock as the man whistled as he left the room, one of our captors then came up behind us and tried to strike Aloy, at that moment I sprung up and lunged at the man. My elbow connects directly to his temple sending him stumbling back. The commotion brought a hoard of Tenakth rushing to our location as the doors swung open and we were face to face with spears and blades.
My breath hitched in my throat as Aloy shoved me towards the open window.
“GO! I CAN HANDLE THIS” she commanded; this was an order. Yet I couldn’t leave her alone like this.
“NO! I JUST CAN’T LEAVE YOU HERE!” I retaliated as I gained my footing and moved into a defensive stance.
The Tenakth didn’t tolerate our talking as they charged forward, Aloy ducking and punching the oncoming waves of soldiers. I joined the fray as I incapacitated man after man. Yet we were slowly overwhelmed.
I was the first to drop as a blade dug into my stomach. Crimson leaked through the fabric of my shirt a yelp leaving my lips.
“(Y/n)!” Aloy cried as she knocked another Tenakth to his knees, yet she didn’t see the man sneak up behind her with his blade raised. My head shot up as I saw the scene unfold before me.
My body moved without even thinking.
I had sprung from the ground despite my aggravated wounds and collided with Aloy’s side knocking her out of the trajectory of the blade.
It was so sudden; my nerves were numb with adrenaline and shock as the blade pierced my back. The blade glid through flesh and bone. I strangled scream erupted through me as my spine gave way to the metal.
My eyes clouded with fear and agony as I collapse into a heap paralysed, my vision fell in and out as I watched Aloy incapacitate the rest of the men. I couldn’t comprehend the severity of my wounds; my mind was solely focused on Aloy’s well-being as blood seeped into the wooden floorboards. With a final hit the last of the men fell, it was the moment that Aloy really looked at my condition.
Her face contorted in a way I’ve never seen.
One of absolute dread.
Yet she tried to mask her emotions, putting on a comforting gaze as she drops to the ground beside me, I tried to push myself back up, but my limbs refused to move. Anxiety consumed me as I started to hyperventilate, yet this only caused me to lose blood faster and my ribs to ache terribly.
Aloy ripped her shirt into strips and balled them into my stomach to try and staunch the bleeding, I let out a bloodcurdling scream as the red-hot pain consumed my entire being. The fabric staunching the gaping hole, yet Aloy held strong and continued to press on the fabric despite her conscious screaming at her to ease my suffering. Without our focus’ we couldn’t contact the group at all, we were stranded and running out of time.
“I think I’m dying A…” I whimper, all I wanted right now is to wrap my arms around her, yet I couldn’t…
“No, no you’re not, you’re going to be fine.” Aloy's smile wobbled as she eased me into her lap.
“Please… don’t leave me here alone…” I gasp out as my tears only hindered my breathing more.
“Didn’t think of leaving you for a second pretty girl,” Aloy whispered as she raised her hand gingerly to wipe the tears away from my cheeks. I turned my head to rest my cheek further into her embrace, even if it caused a broken sob to escape me as my body flashed in agony at the trauma.
“I don’t wanna die. Not here. I wanna go home Aloy, I want to feel the Sun’s warmth.” I croaked as I gaze into Aloy’s shimmering eyes. She was my guardian angel, I’m so glad I can call her mine.
“Stop saying that, you're ok. You’re not dying on my watch. I promised to protect you and I don’t break my promises.” Aloy murmured into my blood-soaked hair. With gentle hands, she picked up my body as I bit down the scream of agony.
She knew exiting through the doors was suicide, so she carefully shifted us out the window, watching akin to a Stormbird for patrolling Tenakth. By some miracle we managed to escape without a hitch, Aloy had overridden a charger to get us out of the Clan lands faster.
It felt like I was walking on air… I felt like I was watching my body from an outside perspective. I felt so weak, so useless… so broken.
I was fading in and out of reality.
That’s when I felt it. The warm embrace of my lover and the Sun, yet I think Aloy’s arms are much warmer than the Sun’s anyway.
Because Aloy IS my Sun.
The gentle rays tickled my battered skin, soaking in its warmth as Aloy brings me closer, my pain was starting to ebb away. Yet that may be the adrenaline finally taking effect. My body was completely lax as my nerves were severed; I couldn’t completely understand what was going on anymore but as I looked up all I could do was focus on my lover.
From the way that her fiery locks flowed down her shoulders like lava, to the way her freckles shone in the sunlight.
She was truly my Guardian angel. My Sun.
“Aloy” I murmured as I pressed my forehead further into her chest. That got her attention, her head snapping in my direction as the charger continued along the path.
“Yes, my love?”
“Stop.”
“…what?” Aloy responded, her breath hitching in her throat.
“let’s enjoy the sunrise together, please my darling” I whisper as my voice began to fail me.
“We are almost back at the base. Zo can heal you; I promise that you’re going to be fine” Aloy croaks, her usually strong resolve wavering as she knew just as well as I did that I would not make it back to base.
Tears gathered in her eyes like dewdrops at dawn as she understood what my wish was.
With a tearful exhale, Aloy’s arms trembled yet remained sturdy as she carefully brought the charger to a halt and carried me to a cliffside that overlooked flowing meadows blooming with wildflowers.
It was a stunning view, hues of oranges, reds, pinks, and gold bloomed across the sky, it was like a painting as the Sun’s rays touched the souls of the weary.
Aloy gently rested me in a patch of wild daisies as she held me lovingly in her embrace. I soon turned away from the scenery and just gazed toward the person who accepted me for who I truly was. The person who was there for me when the rest of society deemed me a lost cause. The person who walked beside me for the worst times in my life… and the best, the one who cherished me behind closed doors.
Aloy was everything to me, and I was so blessed to have called her mine.
“I love you Aloy, I love you so… so much,” I whisper as my vision began to waver.
“I love you more, my dear. More than you will ever know.”
“I know…” I tearfully muttered with a delicate smile as I fell silent, never to open my eyes again.
Aloy caressed my cheeks as I fell into death's open arms.
Cries of anguish bubbled to the surface like a geyser, erupting in waves that shook her to the core. For the saviour has lost HER saviour. The Sun’s rays enveloped the couple, bringing a sense of comfort to the redhead.
“Wait for me, my love” Aloy tearfully whispered against my forehead as her gaze moved from my features to the new day.

Wherever You Shall Go, I Will Follow.
Aloy x Fem Reader | Word Count: 2070 words
Tumblr media
Another dawn rolls over the mountainscapes that Aloy, Beta and I call our temporary home. The air chills me to the bone as I pack various explosives, shredder discs and another set of clothes into a backpack. Aloy had asked me to come with her for a hunt that would last a couple days, to be honest, I was ecstatic to finally have a moment of peace with my lover as I hadn’t seen her for a while as she figures out where to go from here.
With the threat of the Zeniths gone, we had to put all our time into figuring out how to defeat NEMESIS. Saying our goodbyes to Beta as she scans the Gaia’s databases completely wrapped up in the data, she gives us a wave as we make our way past.
My pack jostled with my gait as I place my hand into Aloy's open palm, with a light smile Aloy led me out of the base and whistled clearly into the chilling air. With a screech a Sunwing perches on the ledge of the cliff and Aloy swings herself gracefully onto the saddle, the reflections of the Sun’s rays through the clouds highlight her features in a dazzling glow, I could have mistaken her head of ginger locks for flames if I wasn’t so close. I stood there like a fish out of water just admiring Aloy when I was then pulled out of my stupor at her call.
“You just going to stand there or are you getting on?” Aloy jested as she patted the empty spot between her legs. My face erupted in the embarrassment of being so blatantly enamoured by my lover, I quickly approached the machine and tried to haul myself on, yet despite my best efforts, I couldn’t get on all the way. With a hearty laugh, Aloy takes hold of my arm and pulls me into her, wrapping her left arm around my midriff as I adjust myself. Aloy then takes hold of the reins of the Sunwing with her free hand and pulls me closer to her.
My stomach was performing backflips and I couldn’t decipher if it was from the rapidly increasing altitude or how Aloy was holding me, no matter how many times we did this I couldn’t get over the butterflies.
“So… what are we hunting A?” I call out into the wind, luckily, we were practically cheek to cheek, so I was able to be heard over the rushing winds.
“Yeah, about that… we aren’t hunting anything,” Aloy spoke into the cusp of my ear sending my nerves alight, the sensation running through my ear and all the way to my frigid toes.
“What? What do you mean we aren’t hunting anything Aloy?” I call confused over the rushing winds. Aloy’s grip tightened as she urged the Sunwing to bank left around some Old-World ruins and level out again.
“Just wait and see my love…” Aloy whispered as we made our way past the desert sands, through the forests and began gliding over the crisp ocean scapes as we trail down the coastline further south. It was so beautiful as the sun glistened like crystals upon the water’s surface, a Tideripper was diving through the waters in the distance, the silence being broken by mechanical cries of all the ocean-dwelling machine-life. I couldn’t help the smile from breaking out as I gazed at the beauty of this world, it may be broken but it was ours, this was our home, and I will be damned before some rogue space entity destroyed our planet.
I once again turned back to Aloy to see her eyes focused ahead, I could see every scar and scratch on her face, she may deem them as imperfections but all I saw was my lover who was devoted to saving everyone, even at the cost of her body and mind.
Now that was to truly be admired.
She does and continues to do so much for the world, she may chalk it up to her ‘purpose or her calling’ but I knew she cared tremendously for the world and its inhabitants, the sacrifices she has had to endure over her lifetime… She continues to bring hope to us all.
The Nora, The Oseram, The Banuk, The Carja, The Utaru, The Quen and the Tenakth…
I shake the thoughts from my head as I feel the beginnings of a burning sensation in my throat. I run my hand over hers that were gripping the wire reins, this causes her to glace down at me with a smile that sparked something in my chest, my body felt so warm as if I was sitting by a crackling campfire in the middle of a blizzard.
“You alright there sweetheart?" Aloy asks as she brushed her thumb over one of my knuckles.
“Yeah, but can I ask where we are going, we have been in the air for quite a while now- “
Aloy cut me off and tutted at me jokingly “Now that is for me to know and you to find out my dear.”
I groaned at her evasion of my questions, with a huff I leaned back into Aloy’s chest, and with an oomph coming from Aloy, she chuckled at my state seeing me pout like a child.
“Trust me, okay? It’s worth the wait.”
I put my trust in her as if I hadn’t already given her my heart in the first place. After another twenty minutes of flight, we reach a secluded island off the coast. An island full of lush forestry and wildflowers. I couldn’t hold back the gasp that fell from my lips as I took everything in, so enraptured in the view I didn’t catch the wide smile split onto Aloy’s cheeks as she saw my reaction. As we approached Aloy lowered the Sunwing to perch upon the trunk of a fallen tree. As we came into landing small birds flew from their perches in fright at the machine and flew off into the horizon.
With grace Aloy dismounted and held her hand out for me to aid me in getting down with clumsy footings we make it down the rocky incline and made contact with the lush grasses and wildflowers. Without hesitation Aloy leant down and plucked a vibrant purple flower and twirled it in her fingertips for a second and turned towards me, my face flushed as I felt my heart try and break out of my chest. She looked ethereal, her jade eyes shone with love as she took a step towards me, my limbs froze in shock as she caressed my cheek and tucked a stray hand away from my brow before slipping the wildflower behind my ear.
My jaw fell open as if to say something but my lovestruck brain couldn’t think of the words to describe how I felt at this very moment.
“Follow me, I have something to show you,” Aloy whispered as she gently took my hand into hers and lead me through the jungle path, over streams and meadows we walked, Aloy keeping my hand firmly in hers the entire time to ensure I don’t fall or stray from her side. Eventually, we break into a clearing, it was beautiful, massive trees shielded us from the outside world, creating a personal oasis of sorts, a small stream flowing nearby and not a machine in sight… but what truly surprised me was an extravagant canvas tent, seemingly of Oseram design down the back of the clearing, the inside of the tent was adorned with beadwork of the Quen and woven mats and bedding from the Utaru and wool and furs from the Nora. Then as I continue to look around metal lanterns glow in the wake of the approaching night, hung on wires supported by wooden spikes painted with Tenakth paints.
It was truly astounding, my hand slipped from Aloy’s as I walked further in and spun around in place just to absorb everything.
“Did-did you plan this A?” I asked as I turn back to my lover, her face shone with pride at her work, seeing me react so positively.
“Well, I had a bit of help.” Aloy answered with a light chuckle about our teams ‘gifts’. My smile only widened thinking about our team who has since temporarily broken back into their own tribes to spread awareness of NEMESIS.
“This is wonderful and all but why have you done this?” I ponder out loud as Aloy’s smile only grew wider at the question.
“Well, I wanted to get away with you for a while, away from distractions, away from the world… just for a moment… to show you how much you mean to me,” Aloy states, un-characteristic timidness seeping into her words.
“Are you alright my love?” I ask, unconsciously feeding off her anxiety.
“More than alright… I just had something to tell you.”
A pit in my stomach opened wide like a sinkhole, sucking all the air from my lungs as I held my breath while I awaited her next words. With a shuddering breath Aloy steps forward to meet me in the middle of the clearing taking my shaking hands in hers, she caressed my knuckles with her battle-worn fingertips and she met my eyes. Jade eyes pooled with love and uncertainty as she opens her partially chapped lips to speak.
“(Y/n), you have been with me since the beginning of my journey, you were with me when no one else was… To befriend an outcast is a sin and you knew that, yet you persisted day after day since our worlds collided for the first time as children. I never felt true love before I met you and I fall in love with you more and more every passing day. You have been by my side for the best and the worst of me and I’m forever grateful you continue to love me despite everything. I couldn’t imagine a world without you, so I planned for months for the perfect moment to tell you how I truly felt. This war may not be done but I know I can’t wait any longer since the future is still so uncertain.” Aloy took a deep breath and she held in her tears, not from pain or sadness but of pure love and anticipation.
“I shall continue to walk beside you if you shall allow me. Wherever you shall go, I will follow… (Y/n) can you do me the greatest honour of being my Wife? Will you marry me?”
Aloy watched my eyes widen in shock as my mouth fell open, tears began to cascade down my flushed cheeks as I hiccup with the overwhelming emotions coursing through my veins, my heart beating erratically against my ribcage. Aloy closed the gap between us and brought me into the softest embrace, her toned arms tracing up and down my spine to try and quell my tears, I dug my face into the crook of my lover’s neck as I grappled for her own back to steady my soul.
“I would love nothing more than to marry you, my love~” I whispered into Aloy’s ear, my voice warbling with sobs of unbridled joy. That’s when I hear the cries of my lover as she released all the anxiety of this moment. I begin to laugh through my tears and Aloy follows suit as we rock on our feet to a tune that only we could hear. We stood there in the light of the moon and the lanterns for what seemed like an eternity until a yawn escaped my throat. With a chuckle Aloy finally pulled away from the embrace, he features still sodden with tears of joy and I knew I looked the same.
“Let’s get some rest shall we, my sweetheart?” Aloy whispers continuing to run her thumb over my knuckles.
“Let's” I respond, never letting go of our intertwined fingers as Aloy gently guided me down to the plush furs and woven mats in the shelter of our tent. Aloy pulls me into her, my front facing hers as the exhaustion of the day comes crashing upon us. Sleepy smiles and kisses were exchanged before we both succumbed to the realm of sleep tangled in each other.
Two lovers committed to each other for eternity. For better and for worse. Wherever one shall go, the other is sure to follow…

Nightmares
Aloy x Fem Reader | Word Count: 1038 Words
Tumblr media
The world appeared blurry as I stare at the looming clouds that blocked out the Sun’s rays. My body laid paralysed in the plush grass. My hands raised from my sides to rid of the sleep from my eyes as I carefully pulled my body into a sitting position and glanced around, I didn’t recall falling asleep outside… I remember falling asleep in my bed - how strange…
I stand up to absorb my new surroundings, my hair had fallen out of its ponytail now resting against my shoulder blades and gently blowing in the breeze. Rolling hills with small wildflowers were littered around me as I took hesitant steps up towards a single tree sitting on the crest of a hill; ‘this is like a scene is a children’s story’ I thought as I proceeded onward. As I approached the tree, I noticed a figure leaning against the trunk facing away from me. I halted as I tried to recognise them, yet I couldn’t see them under the harsh shade of the tree’s canopy.
“Leave” The voice spoke with unwavering authority. My breath hitched in my lungs as I knew exactly who was before me as they turned around.
“Aloy...?” I called hesitantly.
“Get out of here (Y/n). I never want to see you again.” Aloy sneered as she crossed her arms over her chest.
“What- What are you talking about?” I called out once more, my voice wavering as her words pierced me. ‘She had never spoken to me in such a manner… what did I do to make her react this way?’ I didn’t think I had the strength to look at her in the eyes.
“I told you to leave (Y/n), do you not understand me?” Aloy scowled at my silence, she stepped out of the cover of the tree, her features now visible. I could now see the unwavering anger present on her usually soft features. The sun’s rays now seemed to beat down on my skin like the flames of a wildfire. With dangerous steps Aloy began to approach me and pulled her spear out.
“Aloy! Let’s talk this out, my love. Whatever I’ve done I’m so sorry.” I pleaded as I took fearful steps backwards.
“What have you done? … oh, don’t even get me started on what you have done... You pathetic low life! Clinging onto me like a tick, following me from the Sacred Lands all the way to the Forbidden West. Why didn’t you get the hint that I wanted you to leave? I always have to save your ass from getting killed. I’m absolutely sick of you.” She spat as she charged her spear.
“You disgust me.” Aloy growled as she plunged the spear into my chest.
I could feel my ribcage pry apart and shatter at the resonance blast exploding. This pain consumed my mind, my body was on the verge of passing out, yet I somehow stayed conscious and continued to bear this agony.
It was like the Goddess was punishing me for my sins.
I couldn’t scream no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t breathe, it was like someone was putting all their weight on my chest. I took desperate gasps as Aloy pulled her spear from my form and watched me pitifully collapse to the ground.
“(Y/n)” Aloy spoke “Hey, Get up…”.
I was so confused, yet I didn’t have the mind to care, my eyes fall closed as I succumbed to my injuries.
“Hey now, wake up. Come on (Y/n).” I hear Aloy call for the final time.
“(Y/N!) WAKE UP DAMN IT”
I shot up in a sitting position as I erratically scanned my environment, a gentle hand gripped my upper arm and I just blindly swung in its direction, adrenaline still pumping furiously through my veins.
That’s when my closed fist was captured in another hand.
“Well, that was quite the wake up if I do say so myself…” Aloy murmured under her breath. Her sleeping clothes twisted around her body like she just stirred from her own slumber suddenly, her hair was loose, and the strands knotted together during her sleep, she swipes the stray hairs from her eyes as she wraps her arm around my shoulder pulling me into her side.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Aloy whispered as she turned her head to try and look into my eyes. Yet I couldn’t face her, I understood now that it was all just my imagination and the REAL Aloy would never hurt me, no matter how much I could get on her nerves at times. But it felt so REAL. I didn’t know what to think, the fear and pain I felt was so tangible I couldn’t even begin to describe it.
Aloy frowned at my lingering silence, it hung in the air like smoke, infecting the mind and drowning in the ash. She was at a loss on how to comfort me further, all she could do was sit there beside me and try to pull me back to reality. Her skin was as warm as a campfire on a Winter’s night as she ran her fingertips over the palms of my hands trying to unravel my clenched fists.
Without any further words Aloy tugged me back down to the cot and pulled me into her chest, my face pressed against the crook of her neck. My eyes blur with unshed tears as Aloy continues to trace her fingers along my skin, trailing from my palms, up my arms, to my shoulders, up my neck and finally falling to my cheeks. Her thumbs brush rhythmically against my skin as if I was brittle pottery. Eventually her thumbs reach to my lingering eye bags, massaging them as if trying to rid of my exhaustion herself. My tears silently fall as I finally make eye contact with Aloy.
The look in her eyes alone could quell the greatest of demons, her eyes were glossy as if she could see how much this affected me, yet she held a subtle smile that exuded comfort and safety. With a simple expression and no words spoken she told me that she would always protect me. Not only from machines or people…
But also, from myself.

Maybe Aloy x fem reader were the reader likes to dance and asks Aloy to dance with her?
Dancin'
Aloy x Fem Reader | Word Count: 1042 Words
Tumblr media
Music thrummed in my ears as my focus connected to the old world music database. I swayed back and forth in Aloy and I’s bedroom as I sang along with the lyrics.
“Ooh~ You can dance, you can jive. Having the time of your life~ Ooh, see that girl. Watch that scene. Digging the dancing Queen~…”
Oh, how I loved old work music! If I can recall the song was ‘Dancing Queen by Abba’. I loved how music makes me feel, at the end of a stressful day I just adore listening to the old one’s music and dancing my troubles away, it was so different from the music I had grown up with.
My singing rings out throughout the base, but I couldn’t have cared less. I tap my focus to enhance the volume even further as the chorus rings out as I spin and prance around, my hair flicking wildly with my movements.
“You are the dancing Queen! Young and sweet! Only seventeen~ Dancing Queen. Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah~!”
“(Y/n)-…?” A confused call startles me and causes me to lose my footing, my ankles interlocking with each other as I not so gracefully topple to the ground. My arms fly out to try and lessen the impact but a set of arms loops under my ribcage and catches me mid-decent. With a flustered expression I gaze up to an equally flustered Aloy, we hold our gazes for only a moment until I burst out in giggles, my chest jostling with joy as I loop my arms around my lover’s neck as she pulls us back to a standing position.
“What brings you here my fair huntress~?” I jest as Aloy turns her head away from me, somehow even more flustered than before.
“Oh enough.” Aloy mutters with a gentle push of her hands against my arm.
“I do it out of love my dear Aloy. Do you perhaps not like my advances?” I continue my act, gently prodding my index finger against her chest plate. I lift my gaze back to her face as I focus on the sheen of sweat on her brow and her messy hair, strands of her fiery locks coming loose from her braids as her loose locks flow over her shoulders and down her back like a wildfire.
“What else were you doing just now? I heard quite the commotion coming from our room just now” Aloy questions with a small smile. I only smile back and take a step towards my lover; I halt when our chests were pressed up against each other and I prop myself up on my tip-toes to get eye level with her.
“Dancin’… care to join me?” I whisper into her ear. I feel her shiver at my words as a smile grew on my features.
“Let me help you, my dear~” I speak as I gently take her hand in mine and pull her further onto the makeshift dance floor. With a sigh, Aloy tightens her grasp in mine as she allows me to bring her even closer to my form. I take my free hand and tap my focus again to switch to the next song as I connect mine with Aloy’s.
A gentle thrumming of a harp fills our focuses as a little hologram appears in front of my vision for a second ‘Stand by Me – Florence + The Machine’. A smile grew on my face ‘what a fitting song’ I thought as I placed both my hands in Aloy’s. I feel her thumb caressing my knuckles lovingly as the lyrics begin.
“When the night has come, and the land is dark, and the moon is the only light we'll see. No, I won't be afraid. Oh, I won't be afraid. Just as long as you stand, stand by me~”
The lyrics were not only soothing, but they meant so much to me. For I knew I could do anything if Aloy was standing by me. Even in this war I knew nothing would get in between us.
I take the initiative and begin to sway my hips to the rhythm and Aloy following suit. We start to form a gentle rhythm with our bodies as we grow more confident in our movements.
“If the sky that we look upon should tumble and fall, Or the mountain should crumble to the sea. I won't cry, I won't cry. No, I won't shed a tear… Just as long as you stand, stand by me”
My hands slowly slipped from Aloy’s and wove themselves around her core as I pulled her tighter against me. I began to slowly spin the both of us using a rocking motion. Her warmth seeped into my soul like a fragrant tea on a Winter's morning as I rest my head in the crook of her neck as I close my eyes and enjoy everything that she is. My smile grows larger as I feel Aloy’s arms finally winding around my middle and her defined fingers tracing up and down my spine.
“And darling, darling stand by me. Oh, stand by me. Oh, stand. Stand by me… Stand by me…”
A sigh falls from my lips and my muscles slacken into my lover’s form at her ministrations.
“This is nice,” Aloy spoke. My head lolls upwards to gaze at her through my lashes as I see her smiling down at me. “I miss you a lot when I’m running around the West trying to save the world you know… when I’m exhausted and in pain I always think back to you, waiting for me to come back…" She stops for a moment to collect herself and I feel her fingers hold me that much tighter "I promised you that I would fix this mess and end this war so we can live out the rest of our lives in the wilds… just us.” She breathed into my ear at her final words. I shudder in the embrace and Aloy only smiles wider as she gives me a loving squeeze.
We spent what felt like forever just in each other’s arms swaying back and forth with the music. In our little world. For here we are truly free.

Burnt Out
Aloy x Fem Reader | Word Count: 1040 Words
Tumblr media
Night was fast approaching and Aloy was a few paces in front of me, purpose and determination exuded from her being as she continued forward through the forestry. Another successful hunt down I suppose. My arms and back ached from launching shredder discs all day as Aloy targeted their weak points with her unmatched bow skills. My footfalls where nowhere near as consistent as my lovers. My mind has been in a daze for what felt like an eternity, yet I knew it was around a fortnight now. ‘Mind fog’ as I affectionately called it. My eyes staring onward yet not processing anything. My limbs felt like steel as I place one foot in front of the other as I trail behind my lover.
Aloy halts in her tracks and glances behind her with a concerned look to her face, my body continues forward not registering her sudden stop as I shuffle right past her.
“(Y/n)?... you alright?” I faintly hear Aloy call.
‘Tired…’ Was all I could think as my body jolts back as Aloy’s firm yet loving hand clasps my shoulder to spin me to face her. My eyes felt so heavy in my skull, I wasn’t sure if I could make eye contact with her… I felt nauseous suddenly, my body and mind screaming at me to rest. My stomach churned uncomfortably from all the stress I had been under the past couple months and it seems like I’m now paying the price. My body stumbles forward as my head drops to the crook of Aloy’s neck as a shuddered breath crawls from my lungs.
“Hey now. You feeling ok?” Aloy speaks softly as her voice raises an octave in her increasing worry, the back of her hand placed on my forehead searching for any sign of illness. Muffled words spill from my lips as I fight off the sudden wave of exhaustion and nausea. “What was that sweetheart? I didn’t catch that.” I just fall silent as my eyes blur and my head spins. Aloy shuffled herself to support me better, wrapping her arms around my torso and pulling me closer, bodies moulding into each other. Her hand rubs affectionally down my spine as my body further sunk into her at her ministrations.
“Let’s stop for the night, yeah? Sounds good?” Aloy murmured into my ear her other hand moving into my hair and caressing the back of my head lovingly. She gently guided me to a flat patch of grass under the shade of a massive tree that’s canopy parted to see the starry night above us. She let go momentarily to start a fire as my eyes focus on the growing flames engulfing the kindling. I couldn’t seem to shake this feeling, this numb feeling. Of sleeping so much but it doesn’t rid of my exhaustion. My lack of motivation in creating any new inventions, I couldn’t bear to even pick up my hammer anymore. Aloy had seen I was acting strange and asked me to come hunting with her cause spending time with my beloved AND getting parts for new projects was something I always adored. Yet though I had no energy to go, I forced my tired mind to join her as I couldn’t stand making Aloy worry like this. I tried so hard to hide my suffering from her… but I wasn’t good enough... My mask had shattered right then and there. I stare dead eyes into the now blazing fire as fat tears rolled down my cheeks like waterfalls. Aloy’s eyes widened as she watched me lose myself. All I could do was cry as I had no idea how to rid myself of these inner demons.
“Hey…” Aloy softly called as she crouched in front of my quivering form, taking my shaking hands into her own, calloused thumbs running over my knuckles in a desperate attempt to comfort without overwhelming me.
“Make it stop A…” I whimper as my gaze drops to our intertwined hands. How pitiful, crying like a baby. Don’t know what to do. I’m losing myself… I’m afraid that this feeling will stay forever. A sorrowful sigh fell from my lover’s lips as she moved to my left and lent back against the trunk of the tree, she then wrapped her strong arms under my own and pulled me gently into her lap. My legs instantly curl around her hips straddling her as I push my quivering form into her form seeking protection from my own mind.
Aloy’s head dipped into the crook of my neck as she placed a comforting kiss to my neck as she gently swayed side to side.
“I will always be here for you (Y/n). For better and for worse.” Aloy spoke into my skin.
I only leant further into her embrace as I tightened my hold on her.
“I want this feeling to leave me alone. I don’t like it.” I murmured into my darling’s fiery locks. I felt truly helpless at that moment. Yet Aloy only held me tighter as the fire crackles behind us. Warmth seeping through our amour and into our hearts, I knew that I was safe here… in Aloy’s arms. My lover and guardian angel.
Exhaustion caught up to me as my eyes started to droop as I rest my head under Aloy’s chin, and my muscles begin to relax, the warmth of the embrace and the flickering flames soothed my soul as my brain comes to relax for what feels like the first time in decades. A rhythmic hum rumbled from Aloy’s chest, a soft melody I recognised as a Nora lullaby ringing out into the wilds and I could faintly hear the harmonies of Longlegs and Plowhorns in the distance. Yet all I could do was focus of Aloy’s gentle voice. My eyes couldn’t seem to stay open any longer as I nestle my head further into her skin that faintly smelt of machine oil and rain as I succumbed to the embrace of sleep.
“I will always protect you my sweetheart… even from yourself.” Aloy whispered more to herself than to me. I felt her pull me that much tighter as she watched the flames flicker until she too fell into a light slumber.
They were at peace, for they had eachother.

Jealousy
Aloy x Fem Reader (+ Brotherly and Sisterly Varl & Zo)
Word Count | 1505 Words

Everything was normal at the base; everyone was working rather silently apart from Errend’s music blasting in his focus. Heavy rock rang out from the couch where he sat jamming out. I had kept the door of Aloy and I’s bedroom/workshop open as I tinker with Aloy’s acid shredder she said was acting up. I checked the spring coils and gentle pried the spring out with my dagger that Aloy had made for me. As I set the spring down on a piece of cloth to stop the oil from staining the metal desk, I run my thumb over an engraving of a heart Aloy had made in the hilt of the dagger. A smile graced my features as I remember when a flustered Aloy slipped it in my hand while we were sitting at a campfire when we were machine hunting in Meridian before we headed out for the Forbidden West.
She had asked me to be her significant other that evening and we were going strong ever since. As I continue to reminisce, I hear the main door open, and the armoured footfalls of my girlfriend ring out as she makes her way into the living quarters.
“Varl, do you know where Kotallo is?” I hear her ask.
My head perks up at the mention of the Tenakth Marshall. I look on in silence as I observe Varl saying that Kotallo was in the re-purposed entertainment room analysing battle tactics. At that Aloy walks with haste as I activate my focus to home in on their conversation. Deep inside my gut, I knew it wasn’t polite to eavesdrop on their conversation, but I couldn’t quell the knot in my stomach knowing Aloy was talking to Kotallo privately. At that revelation, I felt sick.
I trusted Kotallo.
I trusted Aloy. I loved Aloy.
Yet I couldn’t stop the jealously from sinking into my core as I thought of Aloy leaving me for Kotallo. Yet in the saner part of my brain, I knew Aloy loved me more than the Earth itself and would never cheat on me.
Right?
“Kotallo, can you come with me to hunt some scrappers?”
“I would be honoured Aloy.”
My brain ceased any current thoughts as Aloy’s words repeated in my head. Machine hunting? Without me? I was always Aloy's point of call with hunting for parts. She only went to others if I was deep in my work and couldn’t be pulled away from it. I felt saddened that Aloy didn’t even look for me when she walked in the base in the first place.
Did I do anything to make her ignore me? My stomach twisted and my hands grasped tightly around the dagger. My eyes drift down to my whitening knuckles tightly bound around the hilt as I come to my senses for a second.
I fling the dagger off to my right as it embeds itself in one of the woven baskets Zo and I made together. At that I stiffly walk to the door and shut it. I blow out the candles and flop onto the bed with a huff. I fold my arms under my face as I lie there in darkness. I felt pathetic. These emotions had no reason to sit in the bottom of my stomach like lead. My throat is tight and raw as my mind wonders what life would be like if Aloy left me for Kotallo. We have been friends for years before we started dating. Aloy and I’s connection was special. Isn't it? What ifs were dangerous, they consume the mind like poison as they make up fake yet painful scenarios that torture the mind.
I couldn’t bear to see Kotallo and Aloy leave as I knew I had the chance to say something I may regret. I have issues with abandonment after Aloy disappears all the time to save the world. I put all my trust into her that she will come home to me. To love her as she holds my heart and I hope I hold hers.
I curl into myself as tears begin to pool in the corners of my eyes as I spiral deeper into my head. I hear my door open, yet I lay silent and unmoving thinking whoever it was would not see me and leave. That was until I felt a rough hand and a dainty one pats my shoulder. With lethargic movements, I raise my eyes from my arms as I see the comforting smiles of Varl and Zo crouching by my bedside.
“Hey (Y/N), what’d got you so down in the dumps?” Varl soothes as I drop my head back in my arms. I feel Zo rub my back like my Mother would trying to coax me to talk. I simply shake my head; I feel their gentle gazes watch me waiting for me to drop my guard.
“Was it Aloy?” Varl questions with a knowing look in his eye. At that I curl further in on myself and Varl and Zo sigh.
“I see.” Zo pipes up. “With issues such as these, us Utaru always talk out our problems with our partners. We value communication dearly, as stable relationships stand on strong communication. I suggest you talk out your worries with Aloy when she returns. I will be by your side if you so need it.” Zo states gently as she continues her ministrations on my back.
I feel strong enough to roll on my side and face Varl and Zo as they smile back at and urge me to sit up. Varl slips his arm behind my shoulders and pulls me to his side as Zo situates herself to my left on the bed… Where Aloy slept.
I stare down at my hands and pull at my fingers, hearing the satisfying pop of my joints. Zo then places something in my hand.
My dagger.
With a conflicted smile I run my hand over the engraving and Varl and Zo share a glace.
“Aloy loves you more than she shows. I would know. I’ve known her since the beginning of her journey. I remember when she confided in me on how to ask you out. I knew you loved tinkering and hunting so I suggested a dagger so you could carry it around with your always. It seems like she took my suggestion to heart. Varl said rubbing up and down my spine in a brotherly comfort.
“What did she say? You know when she saw you…” I whisper as my throat was course.
“Oh, I remember her nonchalantly walking over to me and taking a seat at the table I sat at in Meridian and asked ‘theoretically’ how she would ask a young huntress and tinkerer out. I immediately knew she was talking about you, and I remember seeing you looking at shiny daggers in market stalls. I never took you for a glam and jewels one anyway. At that I saw her walk over to the stall I gestured to, and I saw the funniest grimace appear on her face at the shards. I then saw the determination cross her face as she walks back over to me as says she will be back soon and that she must go see Petra at Free Heap, and I quote ‘maybe she will be willing to teach me how to forge a dagger… I think she would like a handmade one more than a dingy bought one. I recon I could make a better one anyway...’ At that, she literally sprinted her way out of the markets and mounted a charger ran into the sunset.” Varl panned out his arm in front of him imitating the scene of Aloy disappearing into the sunset.
Zo and I let out a chuckle at Varl’s acting skills as he shoved us gently in embarrassment.
“Aloy has never loved someone like this before… you are quite a special one (Y/n) ~” Varl grinned and I shoved him back with another laugh.
“Thank you, guys, … I really needed that.”
“Anytime, you are our friend and a part of our team after all!” Varl and Zo smile we all go to stand up.
“Remember to tell Aloy exactly what your feeling, sometimes she just doesn’t get it.” Zo smiles warmly as her arm pulls me to my feet.
“Again, thank you. You don’t know how much this meant to me” I state with a warm smile overcoming my features.
“Don’t mention it” Varl says, and he gives me a last pat on my back as I stumble forward a little. We all burst into giggles again as Varl and Zo take their leave.
As the door closes once again, I walk over to the candles and re-light them. Taking my seat back at my desk, I twirl my dagger in my fingertips as I pick up Aloy’s shredder.
A newfound pep in my step.
Aloy always loved me wholeheartedly… and it seems I really had her heart in my hands the entire time.

I’m Fine
Aloy x Fem Reader | 1069 Words
Tumblr media
The morning was quiet as I stirred in my sheets, head pounding and throat raw. Groaning as I slowly prop my arms behind me and push myself into a sitting position. My gaze was vacant and hazy. I felt like I wasn’t in my body like I was floating just out of reach. My flesh was both hot and cold at the same time; having the covers on was suffocating yet without them I felt naked and freezing. I knew I had come down with a fever and when I glaze at the right side of the bed it was empty. What did I expect? Aloy was always an early riser.
My best guess was that she was outside training with Kotallo, with a guttural groan I shifted my aching bones to stand and start my day. I hated standing still as I didn’t want to let the team down, so I shuffled to the shelf and took one of Aloy’s spears I was modifying and sat down at the desk. I took my tools as started to mindlessly sharpen the blade, the sound of metal against stone grinding the mind as my headache worsened. I took a moment and rested my head in the crook of my elbow as I slumped on the desk.
I had closed my eyes for a moment yet the sound of the door sliding open made me jolt right back into work like I hadn’t even paused in the first place. Aloy walked in at turned her gaze to me, a light sheen of sweat sitting on her brow as she flicked her hair back over her shoulder.
“Well good morning, (Y/n).” Aloy spoke with a light-hearted tone as she came as sat atop the desk where I continued to tinker. With gentle hands Aloy takes the spear from my grasp examining my handy work. I smile at her despite my current condition as I hated to worry my lover. I only hoped I didn’t visually look unwell as Aloy looked back at me returning the smile.
“Was there anything you needed love?” I ask as I fiddle with a screwdriver in between my fingers.
“Yes actually, I was wondering if you would be up to hunt with me today?” Aloy inquired as she lent closer to me. I made sure not to breath in her direction afraid I would spread the infection to her. With a deep inhale I tried to stall the raspy cough from escaping my throat as I spoke.
“Sure, what are we hunting?” I ask.
“I saw a SlaughterSpine on the coastline and I need some parts for someone in Thornmarsh, and hey, you can always take its guns and armour plates and do something with them” Aloy states.
“Sounds good, I’ll put my armour on, gimme a sec,” I say as Aloy’s smile widened as she left to give me privacy.
Approaching the lone SlaughterSpine on the backs of our Sunwing I tightened my hold on Aloy’s waist as she urged the machine to circle above the target. Aloy and I make a silent agreement as I scanned the SlaughterSpine.
“Shit…” We both whisper in unison as to not alert it.
“An Apex…” I groan as I nock a tear arrow as Aloy draws an enhanced fire arrow and aiming at the Plasma Earthblaster hoping to set it ablaze and take it out as quick as possible. With a raspy exhale I let my arrow loose as it makes contact and explodes knocking the cannon clean off and Aloy’s arrow digs itself into its core as setting it ablaze. Now we don’t need to worry about the homing plasma payloads.
With a push of my aching bones, I launch off the Sunwing and glide down onto the field. I quickly deploy acid traps onto the field as I dive out of the way of its ploughing attack. With a bubbling explosion the SlaughterSpine is coated in a thick layer of acid as it rears up in struggle. I launch a flurry of shredder discs as its Spine Launcher on its back. Aloy sprints around the field bombarding the machine in hunter arrows as I keep up its elemental state.
After what seems like forever the SlaughterSpine drops dead into the sand and Aloy jogs over to the carcass to harvest the parts. As I go to follow her my vision doubles as I faint from the exertion of my already exhausted body. My form crashing into the soft sand as I barely hear Aloy worriedly call my name.
My head throbbed as I came to, a deep groan crawling out of me as I struggled to sit up. That’s when I felt a strong and warm arm support my back as they lift me gently against a stack of pillows. A canteen of water being pushed against my chapped lips, my brain didn’t even register my thirst until the water was forced upon me. With haste I skulled the contents as I recoil violently.
“What the fuck was that?” I croak as I push the now empty canteen away from my face. A laugh rings out beside me as Aloy appeared in my vison.
“One of Zo’s remedies. She infused medicinal leaves and berries with the water.” Aloy chimes as she ran the back of her hand over my forehead checking my temperature. A grimace overtook her features as she ringed out two cloths in a cold bowl of water and placing one on my neck and one on my forehead. My body released a sigh as I rested into Aloy’s side.
“Next time tell me you have a fever alright. I thought you were wounded from the plasma.” Aloy lightly scolded. Her brow creased in worry, yet she didn’t display any signs of anger. Bowing my head in shame I spoke despite my fatigue.
“I didn’t want to worry you, A. I’m sorry.” I apologise as I pick at the stitching of the blankets covering my legs. With a sigh Aloy takes my hands and starts massaging my palms.
“It’s ok, just tell me next time please.” Aloy reiterates. “For now, rest up. You have only exhausted your body more. I’ll be here when you wake up. I promise.” She spoke with tenderness as she adjusted my cloths.
With that, I rested my head back and fell asleep under the ever-vigilant gaze of my lover.

May We Meet in the Next Life My Beloved
Aloy x Fem Reader | Word Count: 2978 Words
Tumblr media
Warmth was the first thing I felt as the Sun reared its head over the mountainside, yet it wasn’t the Sun’s rays that stirred me from my slumber, no, for it was my red-headed lover whose arms where circled around my torso holding me in place. Even if her eyes where shut she knew I had awoken, a tell-tale being her pulling me tighter to her chest and pulling the covers over our heads. At that moment is when she decided to open her emerald eyes. Even in the darkness of the covers I saw the pure adoration reflected in her irises as she cups my cheek and runs her thumb over my cheek bone.
“I was thinking of doing something different for breakfast this morning, care to join me?” Aloy spoke softly. I simply smiled and nodded my head as I pulled the both of us out of the darkness and began to put on some loose-fitting clothes and brushing through my hair. I could hear the rummaging of Aloy going through her stash as she also changed, I couldn’t resist to subtly turn my head to peek at her bare back.
“Hey, don’t think I don’t see you~” Aloy jested as she slipped on her shirt. I whipped my head straight again, my features burning as hot as an open flame.
We both headed into the main living area once we were fully dressed, yet it seemed that everyone was still asleep in their quarters even if most of the group were early risers. To be honest I kind of preferred a quiet morning to just Aloy and I. Sometimes Erend’s ‘morning heavy metal sessions’ were a little too much.
Aloy grabbed a satchel from one of the shelves pre-stocked with various foods such as bread rolls and fruits and took hold of my hand taking me out of the base and up the mountainside.
“What about the Sunwings? Isn’t their nest up at the peak?” I questioned looking at Aloy’s profile.
“Don’t you worry your pretty little head about that, I’ve already cleared them out yesterday.” Aloy spoke confidently a small smirk evident as she glances at me out of the corner of her eye. Even after all this time we have been together Aloy always found a way to fluster me, it was comical of how many times my face would flush a vibrant crimson when I was with her. I feel like a young teenager basking in their first romantic encounter, I knew deep down inside me that she was going to be my forever; I hope she thinks the same about me.
As my mind ran wild, we reached the peak, the crisp snow untouched by another soul and the Sun peaked over the crest of the mountain side with orange and red tones. Dawn was such a beautiful time of day. Aloy didn’t let go of my hand as she guided me to the overhang. Her ginger hair glowing in the morning rays, she seemingly glowed as if she was not of this world, like a goddess…
Aloy turned her head and looked towards me over her shoulder, and I never thought that I could fall in love with her all over again. She was ethereal, she cast me a lopsided smile as I stand there like a stunned machine. By the time I had been released from the clutches of adoration Aloy had already laid out the picnic. The blanket embroidered with glowing blue machine wires and crafted out of the softest of pelts, even though Aloy was more function over aesthetic it seemed she had put in the effort of making the platter of food look irresistible, laying out the various assortments in very visually appealing way.
She leaned heavily on one of her arms and looked at me, as if to silently ask me to sit down, and I do just that. Taking my place beside her I rest my side into hers as my eyes move to the sunrise once more. Aloy’s eyes shift to the sunrise as well and she lightly exhales. My eyes drift back to her as my eyebrows furrow in worry.
“Are you alright my love?” I ask tentatively as my hand slips in hers to prompt her to tell me what’s wrong. As I spoke Aloy meekly looked at me, that was quite worrying as Aloy always exudes a confidence in everything she did, having her look at me this way was quite unusual. Aloy just looked at me solemnly like she already anticipated my reaction.
“We need two essential components to build vital equipment for storming the Zeniths… that being an Apex Thunderjaw and Tremourtusk heart, there is a site where they were both spotted.” She states in a straightforward manner. “If we don’t retrieve these parts our sacrifices will be for nothing, and humanity will lose, we cannot afford that. I’m heading out tomorrow and that’s final.”
“Al-…”
“No” Aloy spoke sharply, yet she did not break eye contact. She was completely serious.
“I know what you’re going to say, and I forbid you. You will be looking after the rest of the team at the base. You will not be coming with me this time, it’s just too dangerous.” There was a bite in her words, not from anger but from fear. I knew that she was scared at the prospect of fighting two massive Apex machines at the same time. I suspect she thinks that I will get myself killed if I tag along.
“… I know Varl’s death has scared you… of losing anyone else you love. We all hurt with his absence, but you must understand that this isn’t the way to approach this. These machines are dangerous, and it’s almost impossible to take them down single handed.” I spoke gently trying to soothe Aloy.
“Don’t you see that I’m trying to protect you!?!” Aloy’s voice was beginning to rise. I sat there shocked, my limbs suddenly became as heavy as lead and my tongue felt like it had swollen and began to suffocate me. I turn my head down in shame and stare at the apples that lay by my tightly woven hands, fingernails pressing into my flesh as I try to quell oncoming tears. The atmosphere around us had turned sour like acid. Aloy finally looked at me and her speech ceased immediately upon seeing my face. I didn’t have the strength to pull my head up again, all I could do was glance at her through my lashes. Her expression was now stained into the back of my eyelids for the rest of my life.
Regret.
Her eyes were dull and glassy, hidden within a whirlpool of self-hatred and loathing. Her eyebrows furrowed in agony as her supple cheeks flush with the appearance of her unshed tears, her lips parted in unspoken words as she grappled for anything to say to me. Her hands gripped at her tense thighs, fingers bunching into the furs of her pants.
I simply couldn’t take it anymore and my limbs suddenly gained their ability to move once more. I fell into Aloy’s arms as I let out visceral sobs into her hair as I bury my tear sodden cheeks into the crook of her neck. Aloy sat there stunned for a moment before wrapping her arms around me and began slowly rocking me back and forth as she didn’t know what else to do.
We stayed there for what felt like a moment but by the time I lifted my head from her shoulder the sun was so longer there, replaced with rainclouds that consumed the once crystal sky. Rain showered down from the Heavens on our sorrowful souls. Yet it was not unwelcomed, quite the opposite actually.
The beginnings of a smile adorned my tear-stricken face as I hold out my palm to feel the water droplets make contact my searing skin. I leaned back from Aloy who had not moved from the embrace from when I initiated it, she meekly rose her head to meet my eyes as I held out my hand for her.
“I forgive you Aloy; I understand you’re just worried for me, and I thank you for that. The past is the past and I think we should make the most of the time we have with each other in this moment. Don’t you think so too?” I spoke with a smile.
Aloy smiled back at me and took my hand in a firm grip, I haul her to her feet, and she lets out a giggle as she stands up right. That only made me smile wider. I hated it when Aloy would begin to break under the title of ‘saviour’, and I tried my best to take care of her, just like I promised her when I married her.
The rain had picked up and soaked us to the bone, yet in that moment we didn’t have a care in the world.
It was just us.
Aloy and I.
Two wayward souls intertwined by events out of our control, for better and for worse we would be there for each other. That day two lovers danced in the rain like they were the only people on earth.
It was truly beautiful.
As dusk approached, we both made our way down the mountain hands intertwined and slighting swinging in the brittle breeze of the frozen mountains. Changing into warmer sleep wear we laid down in our shared bed and tucked the thick blankets tight to our forms. Even in the confines of the base the chilling air seemed to seep through the steel. Muttering sweet words until Aloy had succumbed sleep.
I commit Aloy’s features to memory, the tiny scar above her right eyebrow from a stone, the freckles that spotted her forehead, cheeks, and nose. The way her eyelashes fluttered slightly with her dreams and the way her red hair settled on her brow as strands from her intricate braid came loose in her slumber. I couldn’t help but shed tears as my mind reeled back to what was to become of tomorrow. I was terrified that she would die, I knew this was a silly thought considering all that my love has been through in her almost twenty years on this Earth, yet I couldn’t help but worry, it’s what lovers do for their other half. I was scared I would end up in the same situation as poor Zo.
At that though I gingerly pressed a kiss to Aloy’s forehead as I watched her brows furrow at the sensation. The corner of my lips turned up in a fragile smile as I press my front into Aloy and close my eyes falling into the warm and welcome arms of sleep, as my mind fades from consciousness I feel the subtle embrace of Aloy pulling me just that bit tighter.
It was the dawn of the following day, I could sense Aloy shifting me delicately out of her arms as she placed blankets in place of her. I kept my eyes shut as my ears hear her pull her armour off her stand and sheath her arrows in her quiver, the faint clinging of metal against metal as she moved carefully around me. Once she had gathered all her supplies I felt her kneel down on the bed and press a delicate kiss on my temple and at that she left.
I kept still for a while to ensure she wouldn’t sense I was following her, and once I felt like I was in the clear I sat up in bed and placed my focus on my temple. I prepare my acid gear as I knew what machines I would face, and I headed out.
Kotallo and Erend were playing machine strike in the living quarters when I exited our shared room. Erend looked like he wanted to say something, but he quickly banished the thought when he saw the look on my face. He only pointed to the West exit with his thumb and moved another piece on the board looking back to the match. Kotallo only gave me a curious quirk of the brow as I sped walked out the door.
The frigid air seemed even more suffocating than the day before, yet I pushed on and activated my focus, I could see Aloy’s tracks head through Tenakth territory I sighed seeing the long trek I would have to take to catch up with her. I place my fingers into my mouth and let out a whistle; a Sunwing quickly flew above me and picked me up in its claws. I mount quickly and gain altitude as to ensure if I catch up with Aloy I wouldn’t be spotted.
Flying over the sands on Scalding Spear we enter the forests of the Lowlands, the suffocating humidity of the forest caught in my lungs like adhesive, flying as close to the trees as I could I lost sight of Aloy’s trail, with a huff I jumped off the back of the Sunwing and pulled out my shieldwing. With grace I didn’t know I had I lightly made contact the ground. Once again activating my focus I regain sight of her trail. Following the tracks I come to a tunnel in a mountain, cautiously walking inside it exits into a basin, walls encasing machines and people alike.
That’s when I saw it. I flush of red hair laying unmoving in the stealth grass. I wouldn’t have spotted her if not for her shining helmet.
“ALOY!” My voice had betrayed me as the Thunderjaw and Tremourtusk’s heads snapped in my direction. I hastily nocked an acid arrow and fired it towards the Thunderjaw’s cannons to distract it away from Aloy’s body. I didn’t notice Aloy wearily lifting her head from the grass and her eyes widening in shock.
“(Y/N)! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” I hear Aloy scream as she tried to pull herself up. “LEAVE ME, I CAN’T WATCH YOU DIE BECAUSE OF ME!” Her screams morphed in coughing as blood caught in her lungs. I can’t afford to spare her a look as I launch acid shredders at the Thunderjaw and spring explosive tripwires in the path of the Tremourtusk. I knew I didn’t have a change in surviving if both attacked me at once. Groaning as I let loose tear arrows trying desperately to dislodge the Thunderjaw’s cannons. That’s when the Thunderjaw charged… towards the patch of grass where Aloy lay helpless. A pained scream leapt from my throat rivalling a Longleg screech as I dove for Aloy and shoving her out of the way of the sweeping tail of the Thunderjaw.
That’s when it happened.
My body flung across the field and landed with a sickening crack and my vision went black for a moment. My hearing was cloudy like my ears where stuffed with cotton as my body rolled to a stop. My skin torn from and bruised from the blunt force of the Thunderjaw’s sweep appendage and skidding across stone and steel.
I hear Aloy screaming for me as I turn my head to face her, her desperately dragging her broken body across the field to lay to rest beside my form. Even though Aloy’s legs where practically obliterated she came back to me… I’m so lucky to call her my Wife. My eyes can’t seem to focus on anything anymore, my vision dotting around the edges as my head simply rolls around in shock. My body felt weak, so weak I couldn’t even focus of the features of my beloved. Yet I managed to crack a love drunk, dopey smile as tears cascade down her cheeks as she rips her own armour to attempt in staunching the blood pouring out of my torso. She pulls me into her lap even as she bits down on her cheek as she jostles her shattered bones.
We knew deep down we wouldn’t make it out alive, yet that didn’t stop Aloy to desperately clutching onto the hope that I would survive. Blood painted her lips as she continued to cough blood and wheeze, I had a feeling her ribs had punctured her lungs at some point. I could feel my ribs pierced through the skin of my torso and I knew I was running out of time.
I gathered all my strength and gently took hold of Aloy’s hands that press into my wound, with delicate movements I bring her hand up to my bloodied mouth and kissed her now purple fingers.
“Its’s ok my love…” I simple state, my voice warped and almost unrecognisable.
With a sigh and a grief-stricken expression Aloy gingerly lays down beside me, grasping desperately onto each other as eternal sleep waited with open arms. Our broken bodies continuing to bleed out into the grass, staining the once vibrant greens of ones of striking crimson. The world had long since faded from focus as it was just us once again.
Two wayward souls intertwined by events out of our control.
I wasn’t scared of the prospect of death; all things must die sometime and if I have my love beside me, I knew I would be ok. With a final look into each other eyes I whisper cupping her cheek with my blood sodden hand.
“Let’s fall in love again in the next life my love…”
“… that sounds just wonderful…”.
Finally, we let out our final breaths and hold each other in our arms. My eyes glazed over as I eventually succumb to the waiting hands of the reaper. Yet Aloy did not cry, for she smiles gently as she closes her eyes as well, walking beside me… even in the afterlife.
May We Meet in the Next Life My Beloved.

Kyojuro Rengoku x Fem Reader | 1045 Words
Tumblr media
The warming rays of the evening sun cast a golden glow on my face as I sat under the tree in the garden, my eyes remain closed as I revel in the silence of our shared estate. Kyojuro and I have been in a loving relationship not long after he was named the Flame Hashira. We met when he had saved me from a demon when I was walking home from my Mother’s shop one night. She had grown sick and as the only daughter, I took responsibility and ran the business as my Father cared for my Mother. I thought I would have died that night if Kyo wasn’t on petrol in the area. It had been exactly three weeks since Kyojuro set out on his latest mission, and time seemed to run so slow without him by my side.
My mind drifted towards earlier today when I had left to collect groceries for tonight’s dinner. It was my most hated chore. It felt like everyone was watching me even though I knew they weren’t. Piercing eyes examining everything about me, from what I wore to the way I walked and talked. I felt like a caged animal. My Yukata always felt constricting as I had grown more and more self-conscious about my body.
I hated the way my cheeks seemed to puff out when I looked at my side profile, I hated the way my arms looked akin to wings, and the way my stomach fat rolled as I sat and watched Kyojuro train each morning at dawn. Without Kyojuro I felt useless… without him I felt insecurity claw at my throat like a feral animal.
In a sense Kyojuro Rengoku was my flame in my never-ending darkness.
My eyes opened as I stare at my reflection in the Koi Pond, I insisted we build it as I always got lonely when Kyojuro went on his missions. I continue to stare at my visage in the rippling waters as I began to pull apart my features even more. Hatred built inside my core and burnt like hellfire, yet it was not comforting like Kyojuro’s flames at all. These flames were created to slowly sear the hearts of its victims and slowly burn their confidence to ash. All I could do to attempt to quell the flames is let my tears mingle with my skin and trickle into the Koi Pond I loved so much. The Koi came to the surface as if they sensed my distress.
I hated feeling so weak, yet I was no Hashira. For I was only a regular citizen. I grasped my hair in my fists and tugged at the locks harshly in a desperate attempt to put an end to my anguish.
What I didn’t notice was Kyojuro slowly approaching me as halting as he hears me cry out. My head snapped towards the sound of his Katana clattering to the ground as Kyo stares stunned at my state.
“My flame…?” Kyojuro spoke softly, taking hesitant steps towards me as if I was a petrified animal.
“Kyo!” I sob as I sprint into his warm embrace. Kyojuro simply tightened his hold on my fragile form and swung me into a bridal hold. Taking me inside and placing me down on our shared futon. He sat down in front of me and held my hands in a firm grasp.
“What’s wrong my love? I will listen intently to everything you have to say because I love you!” Kyo exclaimed in his signature straightforward enthusiasm.
I had almost forgotten what exactly I was spiralling about as Kyojuro acted like a safety blanket. Not only protecting me from the demons who prowled around in the night but protecting me from myself… I exhaled and began to speak my mind.
“… I just feel unworthy … unworthy of myself… unworthy of you…”
I couldn’t bear to look at Kyojuro and instead I focused on his Haori and picked at the ash that had collected on it from his fire breathing. Kyojuro was silent, and that scared me… Anxiety reared its ugly head once again as I meekly made eye contact thinking that Kyojuro was silently agreeing to my statement. Yet when I looked up, I saw Kyo’s loving smile looking down at me.
“Well, if you don’t love yourself, I’m going to have to love you twice!” Kyojuro spoke with utmost pride and confidence. “You should never think yourself unworthy of my affections for it is I who feels unworthy of YOUR love.”
I couldn’t help his infectious smile taking over my own features as my eyes glass over in pure adoration for my beloved.
Kyojuro let out a sigh of happiness at seeing the love of his life so happy, and now he thought it was the perfect moment to do it. Kyojuro takes my hands and pulls me to my feet as my eyebrows furrow in confusion.
“(Y/n) (L/n), my beloved, my darling, my little flame. I wasn’t quite sure when I should do this, but I think it’s now or never.” Kyojuro took a deep breath in and knelt on one knee and dug into his uniform pants for a small wooden box, engraved with a delicate flame pattern. With a small tremor in his hands, he pops open the lid to reveal the most intricate of rings I had ever seen. The diamond was not extravagant by any means but the sheer detail in the golden band out shone any expectations I could have set.
“It would be the greatest honour if you would accept me as your husband… (Y/n) (L/n) … will you marry me?” Kyojuro breathed into the still air.
Tears began to stream down my face as I dove into Kyo’s arms once again.
“I would be honoured to be your wife Kyojuro Rengoku…” I whispered into his ear.
At that, I could hear Kyojuro begin to sob in happiness as he picked me up and spun me excitedly in circles, yelling out into the air. As Kyo places me back on my feet he pulls me close once more and whispers back to me.
“No… I am the one honoured to spend the rest of my life with the most beautiful girl in the world.”
