Twisted Wonderland Getting Out of Lockdown

So I got one request to continue this series...SO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!! I figured it wouldn’t really be time appropriate to have the teachers in lockdown  so instead lets see what they would do after finally escaping from it.

This mf I swear to god. I’m caught between lockdown not making a difference to him, that he just went about his day, ya know, like a prick. Or that he fell into a deep pit of depression with no forceable end in sight... Until of course shops opened up again and he treated himself to some much needed retail therapy with a generous side portion of “Trein? Be a dear and lend me a fiver would you?”

I don’t really know what to say apart from he’s just happy that he’s been released from Azul & Co’s slimy, Amazon Prime-esque tentacles. Even he had to bent to the power of how convenient it was to have everything delivered to his door.

“So you’re telling me that I can’t sleep in, can’t only bother getting half dressed in a morning and can’t teach my lesson with my cat on my lap anymore? Bullshit”

The teaching staff all collectively let out a sigh of relief in that meeting where the good news was announced. Not because lessons could go back to normal. Not because the school could go back to it’s usual vibrancy. Not even because it would get Crewel to shut up about how he couldn’t buy any more coats.

No.

The reason for their solace was because Vargas had found about Joe Wick at some point and had made it his mission to be like him. Unfortunately this meant that every ground floor dorm would eventually wake up in the morning to their long forgotten sports coach doing needlessy aggressive jumping jacks at their window. This fortunate abatement in c0vid cases had saved them from multiple lawsuits.

Ukraine (2/24/2022)

As most/all of you know at this point, last night/early morning Ukraine time, Russian military forces invaded Ukraine after Putin announced that he had decided "to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine.

I am not an expert on this, nor do I claim to be, so I'm not going to be talking about what's actually going on on the ground. But a few things to keep in mind:

Be very careful about the sources you read and trust. Russia is incredibly good at disinformation campaigns. Sources such as Reuters, AP, NY Times, and Washington Post are reliable. Sources such as RT are not. If you want to see what sort of disinformation Russia is putting out on this topic, Bellingcat has a database that's tracking it.

Be careful what you share. If something could be a disinformation campaign, don't share it. If something seems unreliable or out of date, don't share it. If something shares Ukrainian troop movements, don't share it.

This is not something to joke about, or to meme, or to treat callously. These are, and I cannot say this strongly enough, real people who are going to be hurt and killed, not some hypothetical thing that's just happening on CNN.

If you want to help, help in ways that Ukrainians ask for. There are a lot of Ukrainian people on social media talking about useful ways for foreigners to help, so I recommend checking out those. Here are a few:

polish government has opened a website for ukrainians seeking safety and trying to cross the ukrainian-polish border:

as of 13:10 polish time, it has been said as many people as possible will be let through the borders. they are also supposed to let through children who do not have passports, as to not divide families.

If you are looking for an emergency exit from Ukraine, Poland will open EIGHT safety points on the border with Ukraine (you will get warm food, medical help and from there you will be guided to safety) in two of our voivodeships: lubelskie and podkarpackie. It is confirmed by the Polish Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Paweł Szefernaker.

English Twisted Wonderland Translation

Twst getting an ‘English’ release is all well and good, but what’s the point if you’re going to region lock it from every country aside from the USA and Canada. And now there is technically an official English translation, the actual good translators (*) that were translating before ‘won’t need to’ anymore so we can’t even continue to use the Japanese version of the game.

Surely it would be easier to just add a languages menu to the original game and release it globally than whatever failure of a business model the game devs are going for.

(*one’s that know how to translate 学園長 correctly🙄)

Riddle and Azul with an S/O who hates physical contact

Okay reposing this a month later and hoping that Tumblr’s stopped throwing a fit now 👍

Riddle

Riddle spends a lot of time angry and prone to blowing up at the slightest touch so he can totally relate to having issues with physical contact

Notices when you were chatting to Cater when you should have been heading to class

So he grabs your shoulders and pushes you in the right direction, chiding you the whole way down the hall

Backs of really quickly though when he notices you trying and failing to wiggle your shoulders out of his grip

Surprisingly, when you turn and greet him with your crinkled up face, he understands why and gets really upset

His role as dorm leader to scare everyone into submission, not make them uncomfortable

As I said before, he hates physical contact too and knows you need your personal space

People give him a wide birth when he’s angry so if he acts pissed of when walking around with you...

Okay so the plan isn’t ideal but watching him try to imitate himself when he’s throwing a hissy fit really is the pick-me-up you need

Azul

He watched you dodge Floyd like it was a life or death situation but didn’t think much of it, after all any person who values their ribcage’s structural integrity would dodge him as well

Probably only realised once you’d known each other for a while (if you hadn’t already given him a heads up) when he organised lunch for the both of you at Mostro Lounge

Azul wanted to keep it a surprise so he opted to place a hand on the small of your back and guide you there

Octo-boi thought he was familiar with humans by now so he’s somewhat confused as to when they evolved to contort away from stuff like that.

However, I imagine he’d be relieved when you tell him what’s up

Azul also finds the concept of being touchy-feely with others kind of over-hyped anyway

Hating being touched by people is a shared sentiment between the both of you so he goes out of his way to make sure nobody makes you uncomfortable again

Gets really good at whacking people’s hands with his cane
