Lunch on the couch! Strawberry Greek Yogurt with raspberries and chia seeds.
In other news, I did a free trail at a gym through December. I started to feel scared walking in the dark in the city, so it was a really nice feeling to be able to workout in a safe place. I signed up 2 days ago.. and our province just locked us down again today and gyms are closed 🙄. Great. I was so excited to be back at it.
I love my new neighbourhood, but I honestly miss walking in the county and on trails so much. I’m going to start making more of an effort get out on the weekends. Happy Halloween!
I got to go for my first good walk around my new neighborhood. It’s a lot more distracting walking in the city than it is down county roads, but I’ll get used to it. Loving our new home. 🏡
Okay... so clearly I’m maintaining, but not loosing. My husband and I went for a grocery trip this afternoon and I did my best to stick to old faithful foods that got me to the point where I’m at. Just gotta keep trying :)
Obviously not a lot of progress. Been lazy about tracking, but really good about getting my steps in! Not a whole lot to update. Here’s to a better week!
Hi! I haven’t forgot about the weekly weigh ins, there just wasn’t much of a change, so I’ll update week 2&3 together on Saturday :)
It’s beautiful out ☀️ I finished the ACOTAR audiobook series while I walk, so I’m on to Crescent City series. I’m really into the Sarah J Maas books. 10/10 recommend.
Thoughts: I would say I put in a medium effort this week. I tracked my food more than I have been but I missed some meals. My exercise was severely lacking, only got out once.
My favourite band released a new album this weekend so I took a long walk and had a listening party. Manchester Orchestra - The Million Masks of God: 10/10 recommend.
I’m 14 months post op from RNY (gastric bypass). My heaviest recorded weight was 335lbs. Within about 8 months from surgery I’d lost 156lbs putting me at 179lbs at my lowest. My scale hasn’t moved since around November. In fact, I’ve been fluctuating 3-5lbs up and down every week.
This morning I’m sitting at 184lbs. No denial here folks, I recognize that I’ve not been tracking my intake, not focusing on my macros and grazing throughout the day. My water intake has been poor. So the following are my goals to combat the regain and hopefully get myself down to my goal weight of 155lbs. (In no specific time frame. I’m going to keep my calorie goal at 1400 per my dietician and let the loss happen at its own pace)
Goals:
Track everything into my fitness pal. Be very honest with what I’m eating during the day.
Complete the “May challenge” on my Apple Watch (8 workouts of 15 mins this month). I think this one will be easy.
Track water intake, aim for 2L per day.
Reach out for support. I need to reach out to my clean eating support groups and WLS support groups on Facebook to help with accountability.
Post here once per week (saturday) with a weigh in and check in for accountability.
No updates lately! Sorry. I’ve been walking and doing light workouts, and eating on program. But mostly I’ve just been stressing about my recent promotion. Excuse me for the next few weeks while I figure out this pretty huge career shift.
I year ago today I was driving to Toronto for my roux-en-y Gastric Bypass procedure. I’ve lost 155lbs since then, and gained a whole new appreciation for my life. I don’t believe this is the right option for everyone. But if you’re considering it and have any questions, please reach out to me. 💕
