Hi friends! Join me tonight live for some more honest and healing chat. Inspired by last Sundays sunset connection and live reading of Home is Within You - a chapter titled “Dear Son, please make self-care your best friend.” This part of the book is about a year when there were tragedies back to back and out of the blue and I had no idea how to reach out for help, recognize how my body and mind were responding, and completely shut down, numb and clueless. What happens in the next chapter is not pretty…involves the most severe trauma experienced in my life. Often, in fact most often, we put ourselves in those situations and the aftermath evolves into cruel self-blame and shame. Such feelings are damaging and frankly useless unless we tap into them as a turning point to increase our awareness and see them as doors of opportunity to enlighten our hearts and heal.
