“I bet it isn’t that bad Y/N.” Kanata reached for the paper before your hand quickly stopped him. “Don’t.” Your voice was stern as you gave him a glare.

For a brief moment, Kanata's eyes opened wider in surprise. However, this was soon replaced by his usual calm and collected expression, “I’m sure it’s not that bad~☆”

a/n: Proofread this a little and wrote this during clasd actually while I had a headache, the universe is funny like that sometimes haha! mostly platonic reader since it wasn't really stated but.. who knows?

Although Jun knew not to push you beyond your limits, especially now that you were sniffing snot right in front of him, he still offered you to pick up some activities to make you "recover faster."

You reached out for the glass of water he held out for you. "I appreciate the sentiment, but.." You gulped some water until only half was left before continuing. "I just need ample rest, and lots of water."

The both of you were lounging around CosPro's office, in a quiet corner away from the stuffy AC, and from prying eyes of onlookers who wouldn't have to judge you if you sneezed five times in a row. On your head was a fever patch, while a neck pillow was around your shoulders while you sat on one of the beanbags.

It was cold season amyway, maybe someone around you was asymptomatic, since people these days would be wearing masks the moment they felt a little ill. If they didn't, why would they wear one if it wasn't regulated— especially on crowded places like the train you often took to and fro work.

And so here you were, lying in agony as your friend assisted you.

"Movement is the oil for our joints, gets the nutrients flowing right in them—"

"—But I'm not injureddd, my sinuses are just clogged up."

"I'm so busy though," You huffed, trying to give yourself an excuse as you let the chill breeze envelop your warm body. Just then, he nudged your glass of water with the rest of its contents in your direction once more.

As you finished your glass and handed it back to him, he let out a sigh. "How are you supposed to recover at this rate then? You came into work today looking like this that Ibara hadta pull you aside to rest."

"..." You couldn't rebuke that.

Watching him get up to refill your glass another time, you were surprised to see him come back with a warm tray of food.

soon the door to the room opens and whoever opened is met with both your laugher and his. they can't help but cringe at the love birds.

" what a predicament, " tori greets as both you and keito freeze.

Then, after a few minutes of fumbling with your bag, you pulled out the sunscreen from it and started to rub it onto your arms and legs. Shinkai, still spacing out, doesn't notice and hums to himself quietly.

"You need some to Shinkai." You say holding out the sunscreen. 

Shinkai looks back at you and smiles with his usual grin. "That's okay Y/N, I don't need any. The water is already my sunscreen~☆"

You looked at him in shock, "How? That doesn't make any sense"

"Fufu~☆ I can show you when we're in the ocean~☆" he softly laughed.

You just let out a long, exhausted sigh and went back to putting on sunscreen, then your face suddenly lit up with an idea. "We should get some ice cream!"

Shinkai nodded, "Ice cream sounds nice~☆"

Both of you got up and hurried over to the ice cream stand nearby. You both then walked over to the cart together and placed your order. You had gotten a cone of your favorite flavored ice cream and Kanata had gotten a popsicle.

You both then walked down the coast, eating ice cream, as you excitedly discussed what you would build together. "After this, we can make sand castles together" you exclaimed.

Shinkai nodded happily, eating his popsicle, "When do we get to swim?~☆"

You turned to look at him, but before you could reply, your ice cream falls onto your shirt, "Oh shit." You say this while looking at the ice cream on your shirt.

Shinkai then looks at you with a reassuring look on his face "We can wash it off in the water~☆" 

You agree and you both walk back to wear your stuff‌. "Since we are getting in the water, I guess I should take this off." You say as you start to take off your outer layer of clothes.

Shinaki stared at you, blushing while you stripped to your bikini. His heart started to race as he stood there with a flustered look on his face. You quickly took notice and smiled, "I can't swim in shorts and a shirt you know"

"Would you like to try something with me?~" Shinkai's voice tone turned serious, and you started to gain curiosity. "What is it?" you asked.

Shinkai walked up to you and whispered close to your ear, "Do you want to have some fun?~☆" You looked back at him blushing, "Right here? but-"

Kanata softly giggled, then took your hand. "I know a place where we can go Y/N~☆" He then walked over to a different part of the beach before I could say anything else.
