Could you please give me your opinion?
I have considered starting a journal but haven't because it's mostly the same things that get to me each day and I think I will probably end up writing about the same stuff each day. Is it still worth it? I have no one I can really talk to so I'm thinking about it but it may just be same stuff different day all the time. Any thoughts?

Hi there, could someone please help me?
I want to start working on a story.
I have my main character who gets taken from her society among others to be part of a fantasy experiment. I just can't decide what background she came from. I was thinking from the poor part of society and that she was the breadwinner but not valued in her family. That these people convinced her to take part by saying they would provide for her family. But I don't know if that's good enough. I don't think she will ever return home, if that helps.
The idea of the story is of people being taken from where society won't miss them and be used to win a war in an alternate reality.
Do you have any thoughts for me?
Thank you in advance.

Fallen - Lauren Kate
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have watched the movie countless times and have always wanted to read the books. I found them recently and dived right in. I love, love, love this book! It's quite different to the movie but it was amazing. There was so much depth to the story and the characters and it read so easily. It was such a pleasure and I was hooked right from the start. I loved all the characters, even the bad guys. I am going to watch the movie again right now and then start reading the next book! My only disappointment was that it seems Penn is gone for good. I was hoping for some miracle there. It's so sad. But I highly recommend this book to everyone out there!

Throne of Glass - Sarah J Maas
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I didn't enjoy this books as much as her bother series but it was still excellent. As usual, the book was a bit slow to begin with but, once things started happening, I couldn't put this book down and I kept wanting to read more. It was brilliantly thought up and well written. I loved most of the characters and impressed by the path that the story took. It was different to everything else I have read before which was refreshing. I was hoping for more fantasy, if I'm being honest. But I think there may be more to come. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series very soon!

A Court of Mist and Fury - Sarah J Maas
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went into this book with high expectations because of how I enjoyed the first book and also because of the hype. And boy-oh-boy I was more than satisfied! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
I spent a lot of the book thinking it might not be so great because not much had really happened. Few big things. But, in the last bunch of chapters, the stakes got sky high and things got intense. I had many surprises in this book and it was so much fun. I loved seeing how all of the characters developed over the course of the book and seeing the relationship blossom between Feyre and Rhysand. Close to the end I was scared that everything was falling apart and that I didn't want to read what I thought would happen next. But, thankfully, things were salvaged and hope was restored.
I cant wait to read the next book. I am so hooked on this series now. I have become a huge Sarah J Maas fan!

Caraval - Stephanie Garber
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the FOURTH time that I have read this book and I still just can't get enough! It is my favorite book of all time. It is absolutely marvelous. I loved the plot of this book and I bonded with pretty much all of the characters. There is nothing that I don't like about this book. It is exciting and fresh and it hooked me right from the start and had me hanging on right until the end. And then still made me NEED to read the next book after that epilogue! I never knew what to expect and there were so many times that the plot twists hit me hard. This is such a gem! A hundred stars!!!

House of Earth and Blood - Sarah J Maas
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌑
I enjoyed this book a lot, but not as much as I had hoped to. In my opinion, it was too long. The details also made it a slower book to read because I had to concentrate more while reading each and every line. I was intimidated by it's length and details, but I am very happy that I pushed through it all.
This book had a great ending that was also beautiful. Everything tied together and we got a happily-ever-after which also left things open for book two. Even though it got a bit much at times, it was fun reading such a detailed story. Sarah really thought everytging out so well. I am awestruck by this book.
It was fun to see the characters change over time. Everyone was such a complex character in their own way. I never knew what was going to happen in this book. Every time I had an idea where things were going, boy-oh-boy was I taken by surprise. Multiple times! It was so much fun. The book was mostly a bit slow for me, but once things were on a roll, the pace was okay.
I wasn't a fan of all the swearing and drug use, but I can see it was necessary for the story.

A Court of Thorns and Roses - Sarah J Maas
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌑
I decided to give this book another chance because of all the hype surrounding it. I am glad that I gave it a second chance. It was an exciting book to read that had me on the edge of my seat for the second half of it. It kept me guessing, never knowing what was going to happen next. I loved the complexity of it and how everything mattered. I look forward to seeing what the next book brings.

The Cruel Prince - Holly Black
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌑
I'm honestly not quite sure how I feel about this book. It was really good, but not as great as I was hoping and expecting it to be. There was a time in the first part of the book when I thought of giving up. But, I am absolutely happy that I finished reading it.
The second half is the most exciting part, full of action, intrigue and amazing plot twists. I didn’t know what to expect and was taken by surprise a few times. It was so much fun!
The characters were good, although there was just soooo much anger that it felt a bit like overkill. But I can see where it all came from. I'm just a softie.
I'm not the biggest fan of the ending. It feels so negative, but maybe that's the point? I will have to wait and see. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series soon!

All The Blood Spilt - A.M. Dunnewin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was utterly amazing! I wouldn't have expected anything less.
It was darker than the first book, living up to its title. That is not a complaint. It was well balanced and had such great flow and timing. There was always something exciting happening and an edge keeping me on the edge of my seat. I devoured this book so quickly, so caught up in the story and the characters who all had so much depth to them.
A.M. Dunnewin really has a lot of talent! I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens next!

"Trust your heart, even if it kills you."
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read the next book in this series! It just got better and better! I saw one plot twist coming, but then I was so taken by surprise that the book completely made up for it.
I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't stop reading. It was such a smooth, easy-going read that went quickly.
I liked how real the characters were, especially in this day and age. There was excellent character development which was entertaining to read. It was an empowering experience reading this book.
I can't wait to find out what happens next!

It's not your fault - Laura K Connell
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"This book is for you so you know you’re not alone."
The first thing I can say about this book is WOW! It makes me feel seen and understood. At times, it almost feels like a scolding, because what the author says is so true and real. It's freaky... but yet nice. It is as if this book was written for me. This book explained many things about myself and helped me to see and understand what makes me tick. It is wonderfully enlightening.
Reading this book has been life changing. Thank you for this creation.

Shadow and Bone - Leigh Bardugo
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I started reading this book with high expectations and, boy, was I surprised and pleased!
The first scene was welcoming, a sweet moment between children. It made me want to keep reading. I immediately became invested in the characters, the world and the story. I was hooked right from the first page and I never had one desire to stop reading.
I was glad that it was written in first person. It helps to relate to the characters more and become more absorbed into the story. It is always a big plus for me.
Right from the start there was never a dull moment. There was always something happening, always suspense and gripping scenes, all described so brilliantly. I loved the fast pace.
Everything is so well thought out and developed. It makes the world even more submersible.
It was fantastic and I can't wait to read the next book!

A Discovery of Witches - Deborah Harkness
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has definitely become one of my all time favorites! I was so impressed and surprised by it. It went far beyond my expectations. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series very soon!
The first thing I noticed about this book is that it is written in first person, which I love. I love getting a good connection with the main character. It makes everything more exciting. I was so glad to read a chapter from Matthew's point of view as well. It made me excited, once again, with the possibilities that could follow in this book.
Just from the voice of the main character, I felt a connection to her. She seemed so friendly and kind in her easy way of sharing her story in a soft way. She was interesting.
I was strongly hooked when I started reading this book and I found myself somewhat desperate to read more. I needed to know more and I needed amswers to my accumulating questions. This book completely drew me in, right until the very end.
I greatly preferred the book to the tv series because of the books pace and attention to detail. Everything was so well developed and fleshed out. The characters were all unique and original and their character development was clearly visible.
What a great book!

All the Dark Souls by A. M. Dunnewin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌑
Thank you to NetGalley and Dark Hour Press for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
"For those who remain kind in unkind situations."
This book had a sudden start which dived right in, which was great. I remained captivated even though the book was of a dark nature. I loved how descriptive the author made it and I enjoyed all of the characters. They were rounded, which is always enjoyable.
I couldn't believe the ending though! It was so sudden and nothing was tied up. There were so many questions, more from the last few pages. I feel that the story should have continued in this book and not been cut off, making it so short. I found it to be an uneven read, being slower paced until the last few chapters when everything started happening. Before its abrupt end.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would have. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series as soon as I can!

Awakening - Kris Branham
⭐️⭐️⭐️🌑🌑
Firstly, I would like to thank NetGalley for making it possible for me to read this book. And, thank you Kris Branham for being such an inspiration. After I read the last section of the acknowledgements, I felt so much hope. That for each of us, better is possible. That we are not alone. Wow!
This is the first book in The Creation of Death series.
I found the prelude to be a bit confusing because it had me wondering if I had the correct book. It didn't seem to match the books description being a confrontation between Death and Spirit. It didn't hook me because I couldn't form a good picture of them in my mind. Coming back after finishing the book, I still don't see how this prelude ties in. Maybe I just missed something huge... who knows?
In the first chapter, the book quickly tied in with it's description, to my relief. I was suddenly gripped in the action of the first few chapters, pleasantly surprised by the fast pace. No time was wasted, quickly gripping our attention and investing us in what was happening. I was glad I had continued reading after the prelude. I had renewed hope in the book.
For me, Sara was so easy to relate to. As I kept reading, I felt a stronger connection to her character and I started rooting for her. Wanting to read more to find out more about her and her story.
I took way longer to finish reading this book. Longer than I would like to admit. It just didn't really do it for me. Maybe it was because I took so long to finish it that I didn't form a bond with the book and a stronger desire to become part of it. I think I was expecting too much when I started.
I was disappointed in the ending of the book. There was the last big scene, which was great, but then it was like the story was dropped like a hot potato. It had the fastest ending and not even a big cliffhanger. It just collapsed.
I think my biggest problem with this book was that I just expected more. I am sorry.

A Court of Thorns and Roses - Sarah J Maas
⭐️🌑🌑🌑🌑
My first thought as I opened this book was, "mmm this book has a map...this might be a complicated read." It didn't start off badly, but I found myself disliking some of the characters quite a bit. She has a horrible family. And the main character, Feyre, is so hard and beyond stubborn.
Not much happened until the end of chapter 4, and then nothing for several chapters after that, which was disappointing. I really wanted to like this book and become part of the Fandom, but I just didn't like any of the characters. None of them. I had reached chapter 8 and I still wasn't rooting for anyone. I didn't even want to carry on reading. Was it possible for a character to be so impossible? For a storyline to seem so unrealistic? Giving someone a better life as punishment for killing a high-up beloved character, a character that was significant to many... I just couldn't get on-board with that idea and the unlikable characters didn't motivate me to try. Eight chapters in and not much had even happened yet. 70 pages in with nothing much to write home about. The writing wasn't even that great. It just didn't captivate me no matter how hard I tried.
I stopped reading on page 76, the first page of chapter 9. 20% into the book. If I return I will update my review.
