Plan Failed!
prompt: your crush starts dating someone else. in a vain attempt to catch their attention, you device a plan with your friend to make them jealous. although, it seems your plan has failed, now it's up to your friends to pick up the pieces.
pairing: monster trio + usopp x gn!reader [modern au] [college au]
note: i was bored lmao (this is unedited)
Monkey D. Luffy:
"Let's just get something to eat! I'm getting hungry!" whined Luffy. You sent a glare his way, hoping he wasn't blowing your cover.
Luffy stared at you unamused, watching you look over at your crush flirt with someone else. He was getting tired of your antics, you were letting him starve just so you can ogle at your crush.
Luffy knew about your plan and was more than willing to help. The plan was simple, right? Make your crush jealous by having them think you're making moves on Luffy. Then, once they realize what they are missing out on, you and your crush date and Luffy gets to go his own way.
If only it was as simple as Luffy made it out to be. This little scheme of yours was lasting a little too long. Your crush never paid attention to you, and when he did, it was half-assed. Only asking for the answers to the homework or if you could help them work out a question on an assignment in class.
You always seemed to take these interactions as a victory, but not even Luffy is this dense. He was well aware your crush did not reciprocate your feelings but you would refuse to listen to him.
"Shut up! You don't know anything about romance!" you yelled at him, your face growing hot with embarrassment.
Luffy? Not knowing about romance? Of course he knew what it was. Two people like each other, go on dates and kiss, it was simple, right?
Luffy sometimes wanted to kiss you, was that romance? You two were already going on-unofficial-dates and hanging around each other more than usual.
The both of you were always together one way or another. You would invite Luffy out for lunch after class. He would stay in campus at night, waiting for you to finish your night classes. You were both in the same friend group. Luffy already knew what you liked and disliked; hell, he's met your family before that bonehead had the chance to.
What did that meathead have that was so special about them? Unlike them, Luffy would do his homework, even if the answers were wrong. He would never ask you for the answers, instead choosing to spend quality time with you teaching him the material outside of class.
Plus, Luffy liked you. You didn't need a convoluted plan to catch his attention, you already had it.
You let out a defeated sigh, "This plan isn't gonna work is it?" you asked, looking for confirmation.
"Nope!" Luffy said bluntly.
Even though his response hurt you, you knew Luffy was just being honest with you. It was a trait you admired in him, it was much better than having him feed into your delusions.
Luffy noticed a shift in your behavior now becoming a sad one. Coming to the realization that your crush did not reciprocate the same feelings you had. You were planning on going home and crying your heart out, it felt like the only thing to do. Although, Luffy had other plans. He grabbed you by the hand, leading you away from campus.
"W-where are you taking me?" you stuttered, tryin to keep up with Luffy's pace.
He only turn to look at you, giving you that wide grin you absolutely adored. "I'm taking you out to eat, my treat!" was the only thing Luffy responded with.
You felt warm inside knowing that Luffy was doing his best to try and make you feel better. Maybe it was for the best your crush didn't reciprocate your feelings. Why?
Because you felt yourself becoming flustered at the realization that Luffy has been holding your hand the entire walk to the restaurant.
Roronoa Zoro:
Zoro watched you mop around in your seat, watching your crush flirt with another person. Even with all the efforts you and Zoro went through to get your crush jealous all ended up in failures. Zoro was not one to shy you away from the truth, he told you in the beginning this plan was not going to work.
Now, here you were, trying to drink your pain away. Zoro was the last person you'd imagine to tell someone to stop drinking. Although, this was different, you looked pathetic being all mopey over some dumbass.
Zoro didn't understand you at all. How can you be sad over that piece of shit? If you asked him, he wasn't even worth your time. Actually, don't ask him that, Zoro would never admit it. He was too stubborn to tell you anything other than "I told you so".
It was a bad idea to come to this party, it was supposed to be fun but you were having an awful time. Zoro could be out enjoying his time drinking with his friends, but he choose to stay by your side instead.
"You know you're not obligated to stay with me, right?" you sniffled, rubbing your nose with the sleeve of your sweater. "You can be with your friends..."
Zoro would've ignored your comment but he was surprised you were crying. Are you seriously crying over your crush? Somebody who could care less about your feelings? That guy didn't even know you were in the same class as him.
"S-stop crying!" exclaimed Zoro. He didn't know how to deal with emotional people, especially when they were crying.
"But it hurts!" you cried, rubbing your tears away.
Zoro felt anger running through his veins, aggravated by the thought of you crying over that jackass. Stop crying, thought Zoro. Why were you crying over your crush when you had Zoro right there.
"You need to get over it!" spat Zoro, his words coming out rather harshly. He didn't mean to make you feel worse, but he was not going to hide you from the truth. "That jackass is over there making out with someone else and you're here moping like if he even knew you!"
You felt crushed but Zoro continued, "Know your worth! Realize just how cool you are, you were willing to let a loser like him be your boyfriend? Toughen up and find someone who will actually give a shit about you like I do!"
Zoro realized the words that had just come out of his mouth. Did he just give you a borderline confession? No, there was no way Zoro had any feelings for his friend.
Zoro saw how you became flustered, "Don't take that in a weird way!" he was quick to add before downing his beer.
Zoro tried his best to ignore the situation that unfolded. Where did that all come from? There was no way those fake dates and hand holding could've made him fall for you. It wasn't real, it was all an attempt to make your crush jealous; but, Zoro couldn't deny that he felt a little warm on the inside when he thought about being official with you.
Vinsmoke Sanji:
You were mindlessly going through Sanji's TV, looking for something to watch and ease your brain. At first, Sanji was surprised when you showed up to his house unannounced with a somber expression. You told him you would be with your crush on a so called "study date". It wasn't a real date but you thought it was a step closer to victory to name it one.
"The study session was cancelled," you muttered, dropping yourself on Sanji's couch. "Said he couldn't make it and then I saw him making out with someone else in another part of campus. Amazing, right?"
You looked miserable, your eyes were red and puffy. You had been crying as you made your way to Sanji's house.
Sanji wasted no time comforting, "Let me make you something to eat, hopefully you'll feel a lot better," he said, heading to the kitchen.
Sanji couldn't understand how someone could do that to you. You were cute, passionate and smart, traits Sanji admired since the first time you two met in class. He wished he got to have half the attention that you gave to your crush.
Sanji was already aware of his growing feelings for you but he choose to keep quiet. Before he had known he grew so fond of you, Sanji had already agreed to your plan. Others would call it a bad decision on his end, you would hold his hand and take him on 'dates'. It didn't make his situation any better, seeing how he fell even harder
Yet, Sanji would refuse to tell you about his feelings. You had your eyes on somebody else and he respected your decision, even if it would hurt him.
"Here you go," Sanji laid the plate in front of you. "Don't cry too much while eating, it'll make it taste saltier."
You have him a tired giggle but it was immediately replaced with a sad expression. Sanji knew what had happened earlier hurt you a lot.
"Sanji..." you started, snapping Sanji out of his daze. "Do you think I'm beautiful?"
"W-what?" Sanji was baffled by your question.
You looked ashamed of yourself but you repeated your question. "Do you think I'm beautiful...?"
What kind of question is that? Does Sanji think you're beautiful? Beautiful is just one of the many words he would use to describe how you look to him. He could spend hours writing letters on your beauty alone, of course you were pretty. How could Sanji explain to you how fast his heart beats every time he sees you? How he wished you looked at him with the same adoration you look at your crush.
Sanji knew he would be crossing his boundaries, but he felt you needed to know. He cupped both of your cheeks, giving you a compassionate look. You felt yourself becoming flustered with how intimate his touch felt.
"You are the most beautiful person I have ever laid my eyes upon, darling," said Sanji.
He truly meant it. All those fake dates would pale in comparison to what he could truly offer you. You felt yourself lean in closer to Sanji, closing the gap between your lips and his.
If you let him, Sanji would make you the happiest person on earth.
Usopp:
"What if we egg his house?" suggested Usopp.
Curse him and his mouth, now you were adamant in putting his idea to work. Usopp didn't have this feeling when he was hyping you up and while both of you walked to your crush's house. Now that he was physically there, Usopp could feel his legs shaking, he wanted nothing more than to run to the hills.
"Are you ready!?" you exclaimed with eggs already in your hands. "Here!"
You handed Usopp the eggs so he could join you. Even though it was dark and nobody could see you, Usopp was scared. He felt like the police was watching the both of you, ready to arrest you. He didn't know why he would ever come up with this idea. If he was being honest, Usopp thought you would reject it, opting instead in taking the high road.
"Yes, that's a perfect idea!" you exclaimed, getting your sweater.
Usopp saw how awful you felt after being ditched by your crush who asked you out on a 'date". He felt happy for you that the plan worked but also crushed. It meant you would no longer be able to hang out with him like you used to. You wouldn't be able to hold his hand or invite him out to places. Instead of being 'dating' Usopp, you'd be dating your crush.
When he saw you down in the dumps, Usopp felt rage. You tried so hard to get your crush's attention just so he could blow you off? Usopp would trade places with your crush if he could, he was insane.
What was even more insane was the fact that you were ready to throw the first egg.
"Wait!" whispered Usopp, looking around nervously. "Are you sure about this?"
You frowned, "Usopp, this man ditched me, giving me false hope!" you didn't hesitate to throw the egg which landed on the window. "If you ask me, he deserves it!"
You're right. He does deserve it. He deserves it for making you cry, for giving you false hope, but most importantly, for ruining his chances with you. Usopp could feel his legs shaking but he decided to ignore the nervous feeling pooling inside his stomach. He took a deep breathe and threw the egg and it landed on his roof.
"Woo-!"
You covered Usopp's mouth to try and not draw attention, but both of you started giggling. The both of you continued to throw eggs, almost finishing the carton of eggs. Before you could throw the last two eggs, the lights inside your crush's house turned on.
"Who is that!" you can hear their yelling from the inside even though it's muffled.
Usopp did not hesitate to grab your hand, sprinting away from the premises. You were stumbling a little, trying to catch up to his speed but you were trying to hold in your laughter. You two were this close to getting caught, but to Usopp it was worth it. You were smiling and having fun, it always made his day when you were happy. If only he would be able to confess to you. He was a coward, constantly needing hype from his friends to even try and think of confessing to you.
But maybe one day, Usopp would gain enough courage to confess to you and ask you out on a proper date instead of a fake one.

note: if you can read this, it means this fanfic made it out of the draft hell. it's kinda long too, was going full novel mode, chopper also doesn't exist in this au (sorry), i wanted to put my own spin on the WCI arc but if it were set in modern au, hopefully it goes well, you can also imagine this as a la!op Sanji
Tumblr media
The Baratie was full compared to other nights. Like, god awfully full, was there some sort of special event going on? Sanji didn't know nor did he have the time to ponder something so trivial. He had tables to serve and Zeff was already losing his mind in the kitchen in desperate need of Sanji.
He took a long inhale from his cigarette before heading back inside the restaurant. Throwing it and stomping it on the ground, first clearing his throat before letting out a cough.
Shit. When was the last time he had visited a doctor? All that smoking was not good for him, Sanji knew that. Although, he could care less, fixing his posture and tie before heading back inside the Baratie.
"Where the hell is Sanji!?" yelled Zeff, smacking the kitchen counters. Sanji's footsteps were heard amongst the sizzling and loud noises in the kitchen. "Well I'll be damned, look who decided to make an appearance."
Sanji scoffs. "Decided to take a small break," he responds, picking up his blazer from the rack and putting it on. "Y'know, since I'm not allowed in the kitchen."
"You most definitely won't after this," Zeff states, even though this was not the first time Sanji heard this. "Now, get out there and serve some customers! You're holding us back!"
Usually, Sanji and Zeff would argue and go back and forth. It was tedious, but no matter how many times he tried standing up for himself. That old man would refuse to have him help out in the kitchen. Tonight, Sanji begrudgingly chooses to keep his mouth shut and head out to serve customers.
The Baratie was full, more so than other nights. It was going to be one hellish night for Sanji and the rest of the cooking crew, he was sure of it. Foolish of him to think he would be able to get out early and spend the rest of his night with his friends. Sanji made his rounds around the restaurant, making sure the guests felt comfortable and satisfied.
Everything seemed to be going okay-wait-did his eyes betray him? No. A beautiful lady sitting all by herself? Impossible!
Leaving a beautiful lady all on her own in a big restaurant like the Baratie should be a crime. Sanji watched as she looked everywhere in the restaurant, probably waiting for her date to arrive. She didn't look nervous, but one would be foolish enough to not see the obvious disappointment plastered all over her face.
Make all the guests feel welcomed and comfortable at the Baratie, thought Sanji as he made his way to the lady.
"M'lady," started Sanji. You did a little jump on your seat, surprised by the sudden appearance of the waiter. You turned around to look at him with big wide eyes, expecting him to say something. Cute, was all Sanji could think at the moment. "I'm sorry for startling you, have you decided what you would like to have for the night?"
You shook your head weakly, "No," you responded, looking down at the menu. "I'm waiting for my date but he hasn't arrived yet. Looks like I'll have to eat alone..."
Sanji was baffled. That's the only way he could describe what he was feeling right now. What kind of man left a woman alone in a restaurant, especially on a date.
"A gorgeous woman such as yourself shouldn't be eating alone," stated Sanji, a sly smirk lingering on his lips. Your date might have passed off his chance with you, but he certainly wasn't going to.
Your stare lingered before realizing he was complimenting you. You felt your face grow hot, your eyes immediately glued on the menu to avoid his stare. "Oh..! Um... Thank you!" you responded, shyly. You closed the menu and set it down on the table in front of you, turning to look at the waiter. "But I'll just have a glass of water. I don't think I'll be eating anything tonight."
Nonsense, thought Sanji. "A beautiful lady like yourself should enjoy our very best!" Sanji stated, proudly. How funny, Sanji would always complain about Baratie. Now, here he is, trying to give the best impression he can of the restaurant. You didn't seem entirely convinced, just absentmindedly staring at him. "On the house."
You smiled. "You're doing a lot more for me than my date," you gesture towards the other seat that was empty.
"And let a lovely lady like yourself be all alone tonight? Never," flirted Sanji, making you flustered. You chuckled shyly, he could tell his compliments made you feel giddy.
Before you could continue the conversation, out of the corner of his eye, Sanji could see Zeff glaring at him from a distance. While his chivalry was not a problem, the amount of time he wasted swooning over women cost the restaurant time and money.
Are we paying you to tend to customers or flirt with women?! Sanji could already hear that old man yelling at him. Before you could continue with your conversation, he fixed his blazer.
"I'm sorry, madam," started Sanji. "I have to tend to the other customers but I promise you I will be right back."
All you could do was giggle and nod your head. "Alright!" you gave him a smile before he walked off. Sanji walked past Zeff, expecting him to berate him but he just felt his gaze follow him all the way to the kitchen.
Tch! That old man was always on his ass. How could Zeff not see he was tending to a beautiful lady who's date didn't bother to show up last minute. Of course, how would he know? He's never had a wife. Sanji just needed to take these plates out to their respective tables, then, he could talk to the beautiful lady sitting by herself.
Yet, when he stepped out of the kitchen, you were no longer there. Maybe you were in the bathroom, fixing your makeup. Could you have possibly been crying? No, Sanji shakes his head. The sooner he can serve the plates, the sooner he can check up on you. You still needed your glass of water!
After he finished making his rounds, Sanji made his way to your table. He had a glass of water on his hand, setting it down on the table. You were nowhere to be found, the only thing left on the table was the menu and a folded twenty dollar bill.
Oh, you were gone.
Sanji frowned. It broke his heart to think a beautiful lady like yourself would leave out of embarrassment. It did not help that you were surrounded by people around you who had dates or friends accompanying them. What a shame, he truly wished he would have made your night.
Tumblr media
Sanji's cough was getting worse by the day. He tried holding on for as long as he could but, alas, he succumbed to his sickness.
"Good, don't come back 'til that nasty cold of yours is gone," Zeff stated simply. Of course, he of all people would say that. Sanji felt like he could hear the man thanking the heavens from the other side of the phone. "Check with a doctor, is probably all that smoking you do."
"I'm fine," Sanji said through gritted teeth before letting out a horrible cough.
"Check yourself, boy!" yelled Zeff through the phone. "I will not allow you back into Baratie if you do not get better. So get off your lazy ass and go see a bloody doctor."
"Even outside of work, you love to order me around," spat Sanji, glaring down at his phone. "Fine! I'll get it checked out, you can stop complaining."
"Fine!" was the last thing Zeff said before hanging up.
That old man, always thinking he could intrude not only at work but in his personal life as well. Sanji coughed, holding his chest to try and ease the pain. He hadn't been to the doctor in a while, maybe he did need to check himself out.
Bzzt!
Sanji stared at his screen, reading off the text message.
Reiju Father wants to talk to you read 2:30
Sanji chose to ignore the message sent by his sister, there was no way she could convince him to talk to his father. After all these years, he wants to talk to him? After he kicked him out of his house and disowned him.
Sanji shook his head, a desperate attempt to shake off all the bad thoughts that started to crawl in his head. There was no use thinking about his old life, he was happier now. With friends who cared about him, even old man Zeff cared about Sanji in his own way.
Sanji lets out another horrible cough, man, was he feeling shitty. There was no use beating around the bush, he needed someone to take care of him. What better person to do that than the woman he trusts the most, Nami.
Sanji Nami~ I'm sick. Your presence would help me feel better ! ❤️
"Nami!" exclaimed Sanji, swinging his door wide open. He was excited to have alone time with a beautiful woman such as Nami. What else could he ask for? "And, Usopp."
Sanji frowns. "Don't get too excited to see me now," stated Usopp, holding his arms up in the air. "She told me to accompany her."
"I figured you needed more than just my company, Sanji," smirked Nami, making her way to his fridge and rummaging through it. She grabbed the first beer she could find, popping the cap off with the handle of the fridge. Oh, Nami! The woman that you are. "Ah! This tastes great! Good thing you're driving Usopp."
"What!" cried Usopp, glaring at the red-head. "Is this why you brought me all along!?"
Nami pressed her lips together. "Hmm... maybe!" she responded back, shamelessly. "You look like you went through hell, Sanji."
Sanji cleared his throat, forcing a smile for Nami even if his body felt like it was giving out on him. "You look as beautiful as ever, Nami."
"Have you ever visited a doctor yet?" asked Usopp, folding his arms. Sanji faces his friend, his blank expression giving Usopp a clear answer. "Now, that's why, you have not gotten better."
"How long has it been since you've seen a doctor?" asked Nami, sitting on Sanji's couch.
"It's... been a while," Sanji said, through gritted teeth.
"You're definitely gonna be the first one to go out of all of us," joked Usopp, earning a nasty glare from his blonde friend.
"Men..." sighed Nami, pulling out her phone. "Lucky for me, I have my own doctor. Free of charge!"
"Who?" asked Usopp, now sitting next to Nami.
It was almost as if Usopp was the one who needed to go to the doctor's office.
"I'm not saying!" Nami stuck out her tongue before chuckling. She turned to Sanji, acknowledging his presence. "She's cool, she can probably fix you up! She owes me a favor, anyway."
Sanji chuckled, heading to the kitchen to fix up a small snack for his friends. "You don't have to do all that for me, darling," he said, smiling. "I can manage."
Following right after was a string of long horrible coughs coming from Sanji. What a pain, it was unbearable he had to use the kitchen counter for support. Nami and Usopp look over at him from the couch before heading up to Sanji and leading him to bed.
"Yeah, I'm definitely calling her," grunts Nami. "This will cost you! You better feed me well once your health improves!"
Nami left Usopp alone to carry Sanji to bed while she searched through her phone. Finally finding the number and putting the call on speaker, Nami greeted, "Hello~, Love! Say.. are you free right now? I have a big favor to ask of you."
What a small world it was.
Who would've thought the girl from the restaurant was Nami's friend and a doctor. It was hilariously convenient, not that Sanji was complaining though. He was able to see your pretty face again. Just the flustered look you gave him as he laid in his bed was enough to know you recognized him.
"You two know each other already?" asked Usopp.
"From where?" Nami questioned, looking at you. From the look on your face, you were a little embarrassed that your love life would soon be on display while you're tending to someone.
"That one restaurant you told me to go to-" "Baratie, love," Sanji interrupted you. "Sorry, darling. I just work there, got to give that place some free promotion."
You chuckled.
"Stop flirting with my doctor, I don't need her running away because of your antics," huffed Nami. She turned to look at you baffled while you took Sanji's hand and checked his pulse. "Did the guy even show up?"
You shook your head, intently focused on Sanji before asking him any questions. "Something about an emergency, never texted me again," you mumbled.
Wow! That guy must've been a loser, thought Sanji. Not only had he ghosted a lady and left her alone at a restaurant, she was also a doctor. A cute doctor at that. No, gorgeous, no-wait-, a stunning woman. Ugh, thought Sanji. There were so many words to describe your beauty, it felt like he could write a novel.
"Well that guy is a loser, doesn't know what he's missing out on," cried Nami, putting her arms around you. "Don't worry, I'll marry you!"
"Yes, some guys can be dumb," stated Usopp, nodding his head.
Sanji let out a horrible cough, his body feeling disoriented as he held his chest. You searched through your bag, taking out your stethoscope and putting it around your neck.
"If you guys don't mind, can you leave us alone?" You asked, bluntly. "I shouldn't take too long, don't worry."
Even in his worst state, Sanji could feel a smile creep onto his lips. Nami did not miss his expression, giving him slight glares knowing he was secretly excited about having one-on-one interaction with a woman.
"Don't try anything weird, I can't afford to lose my doctor, they aren't cheap," said Nami, grabbing Usopp by the arms and dragging him out the room. Before closing the door, Nami points at you, "If he tries anything weird, tell me."
"Don't be jealous my dear Nami," joked Sanji, earning a giggle from you.
"As if!" with that Nami slams the door shut, leaving you and Sanji alone.
You let out a nervous chuckle. "I'm sorry, I was getting a little overwhelmed," You said. "What seems to be the problem here? You have a pretty bad cold from what I see."
"There is no problem here, darling," Sanji sits in an upright position on his bed. "It seems faith had plans for us to meet again."
"Seems so," you respond, curtly before putting on the ear tips from the stethoscope. "Do you smoke?"
"Yes."
"Hm." Was the only thing you responded with as you placed the bell on Sanji's chest. Sanji felt his heart drop, why did you respond like that? Did you find smokers unattractive? Sure he knew he had a nasty habit of smoking but he never figured it was too bad, right?
Why was Sanji doubting himself so hard? Why did his chest feel like it was all tied up in knots? He'd seen plenty of beautiful women, but now that you were in his presence he felt like he was struck by lightning. This was the first time Sanji had ever reacted like this. He usually had a collected demeanor, even when flirting with attractive ladies. Now, he didn't even know what to say, how to feel.
"Wow! Your heart is beating fast!" you exclaimed, worriedly. "Do you feel okay? I'm going to check and see if you have a fever, alright?"
You leaned in towards Sanji, the back of your hand softly landing on his cheeks. He felt his face turn red at the close proximity the two of you had. Get it together! You've been around women! Sanji scolded himself.
"You're burning up," you mentioned, sliding your hand to his forehead. "I think you might've contracted the flu, you should rest and drink plenty of water."
W-what?, thought Sanji. "That's all...?" his whisper coming out raspy. He was upset you were now leaving.
"Unfortunately for you, I am not allowed to give you any prescription medicine," you started, as you put away your things. "But if you go to a pharmacy store, you should get some medicine specifically for the flu. It'll fix you up faster, plus, you should quit smoking. At least for the time being while you recover."
There was a small silence between the both of you, listening to the rustling of your bad.
"Y'know you were beautiful that night, ma chérie?" started Sanji, staring at you starstruck. By the look of your face, you were caught off guard. He was taking a big risk flirting with you like this. "That jackass doesn't know how to appreciate a beauty like you."
Sanji watched your breathing stop for a second, taking in what was happening to you. He hadn't known you but by your reaction it seemed like you weren't used to these types of comments. What a shame, thought Sanji. He would shower you with praise every day if you would let him.
"T-thank you," you mustered the courage to say while facing down at the floor. "If you need anything, Nami has my number!"
You quickly gather your things and head towards the door, opening it. Usopp and Nami pretend to make small talk, acting as if they weren't trying to eavesdrop through the door. "I hope you get better soon!" you yelled out, leaving Sanji's room in a hurry and leaving the apartment.
Sanji's heart ached a little. He hoped he hadn't made you uncomfortable with his excessive flirting. He just couldn't resist you though. A woman of such high caliber as yourself should be showered with nothing but praise.
"You better not have said anything weird, or you're dead," frowned Nami, crossing her arms.
Even if he did, Sanji is sure he will make it up to you.
Tumblr media
In the following weeks, no woman occupied his mind other than you. Sanji made sure to keep in touch with you, first pretending he needed another check-up to make sure he rid himself of his sickness. Then it turned from sending each other a few messages a day, to full blown conversations. Nobody had seen him like this, hell, nobody actually thought a day like this would come.
The day Sanji had confessed to his friends he had his eyes set on you, he was met with mixed reactions. Usopp and Luffy cheered him on, immediately telling Sanji to confess his feelings for you and sweep you off your feet. All Zoro could do was scoff, muttering to Nami 'let's see how long this lasts' before plopping on the couch. Sanji could see Nami's face becoming red, indicating how displeased she was.
"You womanizer!" Nami clenched her fist. "You better be serious about this! That poor girl cannot handle another heartbreak, you hear me!?"
Sanji felt a little hurt by Nami's comment but knew she was only saying it out of care for her friend. They've been friends for years, she has witnessed him flirt with almost every girl in the country by now.
"Relax, Nami, this is Sanji we're talking about," said Luffy.
"Exactly," huffed Nami, crossing her arms.
"When will we get to meet the lucky lady?" asked Luffy with a wide grin. A small smile was plastered on Sanji's face as Luffy kept asking him the same question.
Huh... Sanji hadn't thought about it. Now his mind was imagining what it would be like for you to meet his friends. His found family, how well you would get along with them. Sanji felt like a schoolboy with all that daydreaming he was doing in his head.
Vinsmoke Sanji, finally finding the woman of his dreams after spending years flirting with so many women. It started becoming more noticeable as the days passed. Before, he spent his time at the Baratie flirting with women and swooning them with free meals. Now, Zeff would catch him being on his phone, usually smiling down at whatever text message you had sent him.
Both his friends and the crew at the Baratie did not chastise Sanji whenever they saw him glued to his phone. No, instead, they would stand in front of him in disbelief. It was baffling, almost as if Sanji wasn't... Sanji.
The old man, Zeff, probably caught on before any of Sanji's friends could. He came into work more of an airhead than usual. His incessant flirting with women was now dialed back. Sanji still gave them pet names, but now he wasn't asking them for their phone numbers or to wait for him at the end of his shift.
Actually, there was one time a woman waited for Sanji at the end of his shift. Zeff was rather annoyed he had to tend to this customer when it was already closing time.
"Do you need anything?" asked Zeff, trying his best not to sound annoyed. He could tell you were nervous, stumbling on your words.
"I'm here to see Sanji, if he's here!" you said, hoping you weren't bothering them. Zeff stared at you, trying to connect the pieces together. Were you the girl Sanji was constantly messaging throughout his shift? "He told me to wait here since it's raining outside, if that's okay..."
Yes, you were the girl Sanji was so busy swooning over. "I'll bring him out for you, take a seat," Zeff walked away from you and into the kitchen.
"Hey, Sanji!" Zeff shouted loud enough for the crew to hear. Sanji appears with a dish already prepared on his hand, wondering why the old man called out for him. "Your girl is here..."
Zeff did not miss the way Sanji's eyes lit up, there was no malintent, just pure happiness. Sanji starts making his way towards you but is stopped by Zeff. "Where are you going with that plate, boy?"
Sanji didn't bother trying to argue with the old man, simply rolling his eyes before answering. "She just got off work and she's hungry," was the only thing Sanji responded with before heading out.
The crew watched in silence, surprised both men did not instantly start a screaming match with each other.
"Yep," started Zeff. "That boy is in love, Patty. Who would've thought the day would come." The Baratie crew can only snicker.
Sanji was excited for you to try out his new dish. Sure, you have already tasted his cooking since he would prepare food for you whenever he could; but this dish was special. It was something new, and Sanji could not wait for you to try it. He saw you already sitting at a table, nervously looking around at the empty space around you.
"My lovely lady!" exclaimed Sanji, making his presence known. He saw the way your eyes lit up, immediately getting shy.
"Sanji! How are you?" You asked, watching him place the dish right in front of you.
He sat next to you, he couldn't contain his excitement. "Oh, I feel much better now that you are here," flirted Sanji, making you turn shy. "I tried a new recipe, you're the first one to try it so let me know if it tastes good."
You giggle. "Whatever you cook for me, I know will be good," you complimented him, grabbing a fork and eating away.
Sanji was nervous. He had confidence in his cooking skill, he knew he was a great cook. Hell, his friends and strangers alike would always rave about his cooking. Sanji had yet to come across someone who did not enjoy his cooking. He had food critics from around the country come and visit the Baratie just to get a taste of his cooking. To Sanji, though, he could care less about the opinions of those snobby rich critics. Your opinion meant more to him than some five star review.
You seemed to be enjoying the dish Sanji made for you, seeing as you were only focused on eating. Over the past few weeks, Sanji was able to pick up on your habits. Whenever you had a rough day at work, you would enjoy eating the dish Sanji made you in silence. Even though he loved nothing more than talking to you, he'd prefer you eat first. The first week he met you, you would skip meals even though you were a doctor. From then on, Sanji made it his mission to make you a dish whenever he had the chance.
"Hm~, this is amazing, I should make you my husband," you teased. You had no clue just how much love Sanji poured into this dish he made you. You overtook his thoughts in every department, this dish was made out of genuine care for you. He would be honored if you made him your husband.
"I have some good news!" You exclaimed, wiping your mouth with a napkin.
"Tell me all about it, love," smiled Sanji, seeing your grin widen and getting all giddy. He loved how you got excited whenever you wanted to tell him something that interested you.
"There's a new aquarium that just opened downtown," you started, moving your seat closer to him. "It has all kinds of exotic fish and beautiful marine mammals!"
"Hm, maybe I should check it out, give me ideas for what I might prepare next," joked Sanji as you gasped. You slapped his arm playfully, calling him mean.
"Well... You see," you started as you twiddled with your thumbs. Sanji noticed how you refused to look him in the face. He saw your flustered expression as you tried to figure out what to say next. "A-a co-worker of mine, he gave me free tickets to the aquarium."
Sanji's heart dropped. He? As in... Male? Has somebody else asked you out on a date already? Sanji could hear his heart slowly break but he tried keeping a calm demeanor. Right now all he wanted to do was curl up on his bed and cry.
"Him and his girlfriend broke up and he didn't want the tickets to go to waste," you scratched your head, your eyes roaming around everywhere but Sanji. He felt his heart break a little more. "Anyways, he gave me two tickets... a-and I was wondering if you wanted to go with me?"
You finally look up at Sanji, your flustered expression showing all over your face. What? It had hit him like a train all of the sudden. You were asking him to go out with you to the aquarium. Sanji had prepared many scenarios in his head, but this one he did not expect. It was almost as if you were asking him out on a date.
"You don't have to go if you don't want to..." you try to hide the sadness in your voice. Sanji hadn't realized he had been blanking out for a bit, explaining why you were so hesitant.
"N-no! It's not like that!" Sanji exclaimed, desperately trying to salvage the situation. "If anything, I'm honored you would like to go with me."
Was this his chance? Sanji had dreamed of this moment since he was young. A beautiful prince finally meeting his beautiful princess, it felt like something out of a fairytale.
This was his chance. Sanji had to seal the deal.
"Love," Sanji gently held your chin with his fingers, as you tried to keep your eyes on him trying hard not to show your flustered expression. "How about we make it an official date?"
Sanji felt your body tense, you always had this reaction whenever he complimented you. He wasn't sure if it was because you valued your personal space, or because you were caught up in the moment. Regardless, Sanji loved seeing your expression when he treated you sweetly.
You nodded your head. "Yes," you whispered. "It's a date."
You were so cute showing how excited you were. It was hard for Sanji not to swoop in and plant his lips on top of yours. If only he could just lean a little closer-
"Hey, you two!" a thunderous voice erupted, making you jump from your seat. Both you and Sanji turned to look at Zeff who was holding the kitchen door open. "We're about to leave, if you guys want to stay in here, be my guest!"
With that, the old man walked away. Sanji chuckled and turned to face you, "You wanna get out of here?" he asked. You nodded your head, as both of you stood up from your seats. "First, let me introduce you to this old geezer, Zeff. I promise you, he's not as intimidating as he seems."
"He's pretty scary to me," you joked. While both of you made your way to the kitchen, your hand magically interlocked with Sanji's.
Tumblr media
How could words explain just how absolutely stunning you looked. Sanji caught a glimpse one night of how beautiful you looked all dressed up. Usually, he would see you in your work clothes, which he didn't mind, he got to see you in that white lab coat. Although, now, Sanji was able to bask in your beauty. Seeing how you put so much effort to look presentable for your date, you look so cute!
"Darling, you look absolutely stunning," complimented Sanji, taking your hand and placing a kiss on top. He gifted you a bouquet of flowers with a letter attached to it. "Read it when you get home, love."
You shyly nodded, putting the letter on your table to read for later.
Sanji held your hand, leading you to his car and finally making your way to the aquarium. You couldn't contain your excitement on the way there, explaining to him what animal you were most excited to see. It was cute, really. Nami had told him how excited you were for this date and just how head over heels you were for Sanji.
Nami I don't know how you did it, but I better hear good things from you after tonight. read 6:27pm
Sanji couldn't help but crack a smile, seeing how overprotective Nami was of you. He had no doubt in his mind that Nami would put him in his place if he crossed the line. Although, Sanji had no plans of leaving you anytime soon.
He watched you, starstruck by your beauty as you stared at the fishes in the tank. The way you stared at the fishes with such focus, pointing to Sanji every fish you found intriguing. Your skin was glowing beautifully all thanks to the water's reflection shining onto you.
"What do you think?" you asked, turning your attention to Sanji.
"I think..." He smiled, tucking your hair over your ear, before pointing at a big fish. "I think I've actually cooked that fish at Baratie before."
You gasp before stifling out a laugh. "You're cruel," you said, your eyes locking onto him.
No, you're cruel. The way you cemented yourself into Sanji's heart. The way you made him feel like he was finally allowed to be selfish. How, no matter how many women hit on him or flirt with him, you're the only one taking over his mind.
"Look at this one!" you pointed at a Green sunfish. "He reminds me of your friend!"
"Ha! That is mosshead!" laughed Sanji, pointing at the fish alongside you. He took out his phone from his pocket to take a picture of the fish. "I have to send this to the Strawhats group chat!"
As Sanji zoomed in on the Green sunfish and took a quick picture, he felt your gaze on him. He could've sworn he saw you give him a warm smile, watching him have his own fun. Sanji puts his phone away, giving you his full undivided attention.
"Sanji..." you started. He felt a shiver run down his spine as his name rolled off your tongue. Your hands were a little shaky as you went to grab his black tie.
"L-love-!" started Sanji but before he could speak, you pulled him towards you and planted a kiss on his lips.
Sanji's body felt like it was on fire. As a young boy, he always thought he would be the first one to initiate a kiss. Now here he was, getting a kiss from you first, not that he minded. If anything, it proved to him that you were just as crazy for him as he was for you.
You pulled away, refusing to look him in the eyes and planted your head on his chest out of embarrassment. Sanji couldn't help but laugh at how cute you were, you had pulled the first move and now you were acting all shy. He wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head and held you closely.
Two lovers enjoying their moment, blissfully unaware of the world around them.

"What are you doing here?" growled Sanji, staring at the woman sitting on his couch. It was his sister, Reiju.
"You've been ignoring my calls," she answered, unamused.
"Yeah? Well, maybe I've been ignoring them for a reason," scoffed Sanji, taking off his coat.
"Father wants to talk to you," Reiju went straight to the point. "He's been wanting to get a hold of you."
"Tell him to piss off!" yelled Sanji, heated. "That man has done nothing good for me, I don't want anything to do with him. In fact, he was the one who didn't want anything to do with me first."
Sanji swore he saw his sister's face drop, remembering the mistreatment of her younger brother.
"I know that..." spat Reiju. "But I'm here to try and spare you the trouble. If you continue to ignore his request, he will make you talk to him."
"Like I said, he has no right trying to come back into my life like nothing happened," said Sanji. "Now, if you would kindly leave me be, I would appreciate it very much."
Reiju's eyes don't leave Sanji's intense stare, sighing, before getting up from the chair and making her way out. She gives her younger brother one last look, one of shame.
"I hope things go well for you..." muttered Reiju, already out the door.
Sanji frowned. "Goodbye, Reiju."
And with that, he slammed the door.
Tumblr media
Sanji felt like the happiest man in the entire world.
He is the happiest man in the world.
Being with you the past few weeks, Sanji had never felt more alive. You surround everything around him, whether it be from the dishes he cooks you or the music you play for him on a daily basis. Sanji could never get enough of you, you occupied every single one of his thoughts.
I got lucky, thought Sanji as he watched you dance with his friends. The bonfire was brightly lit, reflecting an orange tint on not only you but all of his friends. This was beautiful, almost like a scene taken straight out of a movie.
Sanji felt relieved that you got along well with his group of friends. He knew they were a bit much to handle, their personalities could be all over the place. He had remembered when he met Luffy at the Baratie, he was accompanied by Nami, Zoro and Usopp. It was a relatively small friend group before it expanded.
A few years ago, Sanji would've never imagined he'd have a big group of friends; ones who he considered his found family. Not that he didn't consider Zeff and the cooking crew at the Baratie his family. Zeff was his father-figure, the one who pushed him to befriend Luffy, to pursue his dreams and aspirations.
Now, here Sanji was, with his friends and lover, enjoying the beautiful night by drinking and dancing. He was content, so much so, he was sitting next to Zoro enjoying his beer. They were always at each other's throats; but tonight, they enjoyed each other's presence as they watched the others have fun.
"You sure are happier than ever before..." muttered Zoro, taking a drink from his beer. "For a second, I thought you were joking but you actually surprised me this time."
Sanji knew Zoro was referring to you.
"What can I say..." started Sanji, grabbing his lighter to light up a cigarette. "When you meet the right woman, it changes you."
Zoro chuckled. "I like her," said Zoro, watching his friends getting more and more drunk. You were struggling to hold Luffy and Nami as they leaned on you for support. The others laugh at their two friends' antics. "She doesn't take herself too seriously, plus, she's a doctor."
That being said, Luffy grabbed onto Usopp, trying to give him a hug. Both of them were drunk, and instead of hugging each other, their heads collided. You gasped and went to check on both of them to see if they were alright.
"Plus, looks like we need one," Zoro gestured to Usopp and Luffy.
Sanji laughed.
As the night progressed, most of Sanji's friends left one by one, leaving only the two of you. Both of you were sitting on the couch, exhausted from the fun night you two had.
"I think I should start heading home..." you sighed. Sanji could tell you didn't want to leave him.
He held you closer to him. "Why not just stay here for the night then, darling?" Sanji cooed in your ear, making you giggle.
You sighed, shaking your head hesitantly. "Can't, I have to do a lot of paperwork tomorrow. You know they will go crazy without me there."
Sanji felt a twinge of disappointment, but he did not let it ruin his mood. He understood how important your job was to you, he didn't want to get in the way of things. Although, by the way you acted, it didn't seem like you wanted to leave either.
You sat on top of your legs, looking at Sanji with a flustered look. You didn't really want to go, you had to make it clear to him. You leaned in towards Sanji, giving him a rather passionate kiss.
Sanji reciprocated the kiss, putting his hands on your cheeks to deepen it. His hands landed on your cheek, neck and then on your waist, putting you two in an intimate position. This felt heavenly, you roaming your hands on his chest made Sanji's whole world go up in flames.
This felt like a natural transition to something more; to sex. But who was Sanji if he didn't make sure his lady was absolutely sure about this? Sure about taking your relationship to the next level. Sanji broke the kiss, seeing as you were straddling on his lap. You gave him a cute pout, one which he found adorable.
"Ma chérie," started Sanji, placing his hand on your cheek. "Are you sure you're ready for this?"
He could see your eyes full of nothing but lust and love for the man in front of you. You nodded shyly, but in a desperate manner, showing him just how much you wanted this without words.
"Sanji... I have never been more sure about something," you confirmed it for Sanji. "I'm ready."
And that's all Sanji needed to ravage you for the night. He made you feel so many emotions that night; love, passion and pleasure. He made it his mission to make this night only about you. Sanji wanted to show you how much you meant to him. Just how much your presence had changed his life. You made him feel special and loved, something Sanji had gone without for far too long in his life.
You looked absolutely beautiful in your afterglow. "I love you," you said in between moans.
Sanji felt his whole world being turned upside down. Hearing those three words were so foreign to him. His family never said that to him, in fact, emotions were not allowed in his house growing up. Now, the woman that he loved, who was sprawled out on his bed, was confessing her love to him.
Sanji felt overwhelmed by the sudden emotions that had hit him, he couldn't take it. How did you know? The words he needed to hear the most. Sanji felt tears well up, but he was too ashamed to let you see him cry. He buried his head on your neck, embracing you tightly and letting his tears run.
"I love you more, ma chérie."
Tumblr media
"Finally, I am able to sit you down and have a proper talk with you..." the large man muttered. He had long blonde hair that reached his waist, a stupidly funny upwards mustache and thick blonde curly eyebrows.
Shit, Sanji really was his father's son. Out of all his siblings, he resembled his father the most. Sure, he had his mom's features passed down to him but there was no denying that the man in front of him was most definitely his father.
He chose not to meet his father's gaze, instead staring down on the floor. He could hear his older siblings cackling, Sanji knew his siblings saw him as pathetic.
"We want to expand Germa 66, establish ourselves as a powerful business," explained Judge, keeping his eyes on his son.
"Typical..." spat Sanji, clenching his fists. "So? What's that got to do with me?"
"I've met someone that could help me expand who can help us expand. But, she will only do it if someone marries her daughter."
Sanji was growing impatient listening to his father talk. If he was going to ask him to marry somebody else, the Judge was wrong. Sanji already had built his own life, one his father didn't help create. He had Zeff, his friend and most importantly, you.
"I didn't want to bother my sons about it, so I thought, what about Sanji?"
This man knew how to get under Sanji's skin.
"I always thought you were a failure, but it turns out, you'll actually be useful this time around," laughed Judge. "So, you're gonna go through with the wedding."
Sanji felt nothing but pure rage inside of him. Not only was the Judge embarrassing him in front of his siblings, but making a decision for him; one he did not decide.
"How dare you!" yelled Sanji, clenching his fists. "I will never go through with that marriage."
"Oh, is that so?" said Judge, mildly impressed by his son's outrage. It was almost as if he wasn't anticipating this sort of reaction from him, what a joke!
"I'm not asking you, I'm ordering you," spat Judge, crossing his arms. "If you don't, it'd be a shame if the restaurant you work in just so happened to get shut down."
No way, Judge was actually threatening to close down Zeff's restaurant. After he worked his ass off to build that place from the ground up, a place Sanji had spent most of his years in.
"You wouldn't dare...!" challenged Sanji. Even though he was putting on a tough exterior, he was feeling scared and helpless. The man who was so cruel to Sanji as a kid, the man who kicked his own son out to fend for himself. Now, he was ordering him to accept this marriage like it was nothing?
No, Sanji had vowed to get married to you, the person he truly loved. His mind, body and soul belonged to you, not this random person he never even saw.
"How about that girl you're seeing," said Judge. It was almost as if he was reading Sanji's mind. "She seems like a nice lady and I hear she's a doctor too. Would be a shame if all her hard work was crushed by a simple call I could make."
This was going too far, even for them. Sanji could hear his siblings snicker, all of them enjoying the scene that was unfolding before their very eyes. Of course they would find this amusing, Sanji's brothers never held any sympathy towards him. His eyes landed on Reiju, the only one who was not laughing. She avoided Sanji's stare, looking defeated as she watched her father strip away her brother's life right in front of his eyes.
"Just accept the inevitable, failure!" laughed Yonji, Sanji's youngest brother.
This was crossing the line, threatening Zeff and threatening you? The love of his life, the person he stayed up all night talking to about his dreams. No, Sanji couldn't risk being selfish. Not when Zeff's business was on the line alongside your career. You had busted your ass day and night, you would avoid sleeping and eating just to get where you were.
There was no other choice, Sanji was backed into a corner. All he wanted to do was cry but held the tears in, knowing his father and brothers would use that to berate him even further.
With a defeated look, Sanji could only stare into the abyss as he said, "I... will go through with it. Just don't bring them into this mess."
Sanji knew how horrible his family could be and their threats were no joke. They were willing to use their positions of power just to get what they wanted. He wasn't gonna let you fall victim to his family, even if it meant hurting you in the process.
Tumblr media
Sanji could see your whole world crashing down before his very eyes. It took you a minute to process what he had told his friend, what he had told you.
"I'm getting married, I'm cutting ties with all of you," spat Sanji.
This wasn't like him. Sanji never spoke to his friends in such a condescending way. Sure, he got annoyed by their antics from time to time but it was never enough to justify lashing out at them. He felt his heart rip in two as he watched your eyes well up with tears.
Luffy and Nami stood in shock, outraged by Sanji's behavior. Luffy shook his head, refusing to accept what his friend was saying.
"How dare you say that!" yelled Luffy. "You're supposed to get married to her!"
Sanji was grateful that you had Luffy to defend you. You looked so broken, he couldn't bear to see you any longer. He knew he wouldn't be able to go through with it if he continued seeing you in pain. You didn't say anything, but your body language said enough. You were hoping this was a dream-a nightmare-you could get out of.
"Sanji!" Nami yelled out, Sanji looking at her. He felt the palm of her hand collide with his cheek. The stinging sensation was brutal, but it was nothing compared to the sight of an angry Nami. Sanji knows he failed her, she doesn't need to say it.
"You promised me, Sanji," cried Nami. He had promised to not hurt you, now here you were, crying.
Luffy was comforting you, making sure you were alright. You hadn't spoken a word, screamed or cried, you just stood there lifeless. Sanji knew he had broken your heart, but it was for the best. That's what he wanted to believe, that you were better off without him. You wouldn't have to suffer because of him.
Nami made her way to you, and together with Luffy, guided you away from Sanji. He couldn't help but let the tears overflow as he watched the love of his life leave him. Just when he thought he had a chance at happiness, it was just as quickly diminished.
I'm sorry, was the only thing Sanji kept repeating to himself inside his head.
Tumblr media
A few weeks have gone by and Sanji felt like his soul was already sucked dry. Sanji wanted nothing more than to escape this cursed wedding, but no matter how he tried, he couldn't avoid it. Every waking day, Sanji was reminded how much of his life was taken away. He missed his friends, but most importantly, he missed you.
Sanji missed going to visit you at the hospital you worked at. He missed the surprise visits you do when he worked at Baratie. How much he loved cooking for you, every meal made out of nothing but his love.
Now, he was making a meal for his fiancée, Pudding, the woman Sanji was forced to marry. She was a nice girl, but she was nothing like you. You had a certain charm about you that Sanji found adorable. He just couldn't help but compare Pudding to you at every corner.
Like the meal he had made for Pudding for the picnic was nothing like what he would cook for you. You had your own special meal that Sanji was accustomed to, now he had to memorize a new one that wasn't even for you.
Sanji watched Pudding as she giggled, telling him a story that he wasn't listening to. He didn't mean to be rude, he was just so busy in his thoughts he blocked the whole world around him. He knew that the date was going fine, Pudding was enjoying herself.
For a short moment, Sanji enjoyed the scenery around him. There was a beautiful lake and the sun was out. Sanji saw from the corner of his eyes a familiar figure walking up towards the bench in front of the lake.
It was you.
For the first time in weeks, Sanji felt happiness fill all over him. He hadn't seen you in a long time, he was finally able to say hi to you and how much he missed you. It's almost as if he had forgotten what he put you through. Sanji was forced to come back down to reality, watching as two familiar friends sat down beside you on the bench; it was Nami and Luffy.
Sanji wasn't able to see your face, but he could tell by the way Nami was hugging you and the way Luffy put his arm around you; you were still hurt by the events that happened weeks prior. Sanji's heart ached as he heard from afar you sniffle and Pudding calling out for him. Good thing he was too far away to draw attention to himself, but there was a dark looming feeling that floated over his head.
One of guilt, regret and sadness all combined together. Guilt for the way he made you feel, promising not only to you but to his friend Nami, that he would never hurt you. Regret that he had to leave his father figure, his friends and you behind all in favor for this sham of a marriage.
Sanji was so sure about his decision. He didn't want anyone coming after you just to get back at him. He promised you he was doing you a favor by making you stay away from him and his cursed family.
But seeing as you cried your heart out to Nami and Luffy, Sanji couldn't help but think that he had made a crucial mistake. One that he was afraid he could never undo.

clueless. | Eddie Munson
Tumblr media
pairing: eddie munson x class president!reader
summary: you have a crush on the 'infamous' eddie munson, but you no longer want to wait for him to make the first move. so it's up to you to move your relationship along.
content/warning: flirtatious!reader, mentions of a cult, sexual references
a/n: here's another post of mine that's similar to this, if you're interested.
It's a Monday at Hawkins High school.
You perk up as you see Eddie walking by in the lunchroom, minutes after the bell rang. All of his friends were already seated down in their respective spots waiting for Munson.
Eddie walked with a certain suave as he sat down, having a clear view of all of his friends.
God, he was irresistible.
You snapped out of your daze, dusting off your outfit and fixing your collared shirt. You needed to look good if you wanted to leave an impression on Eddie.
You could no longer wait for him to appear to English class and expect him to ask you out. The heavens only know how much you dreamed about it though. No, you had to make your move on Eddie because you two would not pass beyond the talking stage at this point.
It was now or never.
You cleared your throat before making your way towards him. You masqueraded your nerves with your usual charming and collected persona. You had to look presentable and keep up appearances now that you were class president.
"Munson, how's your day going?" you asked, appearing behind him. You noticed Eddie flinched, surprising him. Cool, now you scared him.
"It's going good - great - even," coughed Eddie, fixing himself in his seat. All of his friends had their eyes fixated on him, seeing how visibly nervous Eddie had gotten.
You took this opportunity to include the rest of his friends in the conversation. "Are you guys going to the festival this Friday?" You smiled.
The two young freshman, Mike and Dustin, stare at Eddie who was oddly quiet. "A festival?" questioned Mike, watching Eddie take out his notebook. It was obvious Eddie did not know how to act now that he was around the class president.
"The school is holding a festival to try and help those in need," you responded. "Are you perhaps thinking of going, Munson?"
You grinned, waiting for Eddie's response but all he could do was shove his face into his notebook. Dustin laughed at how awful Eddie was at hiding his blatant crush on you. Eddie did not have a chance to shoot the freshman a menacing look. Whatever, he was going to make him pay later.
You tried keeping your composure, thinking you were making yourself look like a fool. You looked at him as he stared intently at his notebook.
"Are those the notes for English class?" you asked. You pointed at Eddie's notebook, your chest pressed on his back as your hand landed on his shoulder. Eddie felt goosebumps, not knowing how to react properly.
You had your whole chest pressed on his back, your face mere inches away from his. Eddie was not brave enough to look up at his friends but he knew they we're all at the verge of laughing. You made Eddie feel weak, so much so that he forgot all about keeping up his eccentric persona.
"Y-yes," stuttered Eddie. Christ, he had hopped the kids did not catch him slipping up. Although his hopes were invalid, Eddie could already hear the soft cackling as he buried his nose deeper in his notebook.
You straightened yourself into a better position, now off Eddie. "Well, I'll see you in English class, Munson?" you asked.
Eddie refused to look at you, only giving you a furious nod. You smiled before walking away. You felt like such an idiot, why would you overstep your boundaries like that! You felt deeply embarrassed, hearing Eddie's table burst into fits of laughter. Your embarrassment only lasted so long when you hear Dustin say, "Dude, you were so obvious about it!"
"Shut up, Henderson!" yelled Eddie.
Your smile gets wider as you heard their fading bickering, now excited. Your plan was now in motion and you felt you could only go up from here.
═════════•°• ⚠ •°•═════════
It's Tuesday afternoon.
Class had ended but you were one of the many people who stayed after school. You needed to check up on all the clubs to see who needed extra funding. It was a tedious task, really. Between having to interact with the Basketball team and Choir, you didn't know which one was worse.
It was worth it. You needed to get it done and over with, now the hard part was over. You scratched two clubs out of the way from your clip board, you only needed to check up on one other club.
The Hellfire Club. Perfect.
You started making your way towards the theater, going towards the basement where Eddie usually held the club at. You were surprised the Theater kids had let Eddie use up their spot. Arriving to your destination, you lightly knocked on the doors before entering.
You saw the Hellfire members whip their heads in your direction, obviously startled by your entrance.
"Oh, shit! It's that girl you li- ow!" Dustin hissed in pain, holding his ankle that had just been kicked.
"Were in the presence of someone wonderful today," spoke Eddie, grinning at you as you walked up to him. You shared the same wide grin as his. It seemed like Eddie was more in control of his emotions this time. "The class president. Is there something we can offer you?"
You chuckled lightly, leaning on the edge of the table in front of him. "Yeah, actually. I'm just here to check up your club, how everything is running," you said, holding your clipboard close to your chest.
"I promise I'm not running a cult," joked Eddie.
"I wouldn't mind if you did, just the folks up there would," you followed along, pointing up stairs as you referenced the Theater club. Eddie chuckled.
Your eyes skimmed around the room, quickly checking if anything was out of place. You turn to look at the board that is sitting on the table, grabbing a die.
"You oughta teach me how to play D&D some time, Munson," you flirted. "I heard you're well versed in this game. I could use a tutor to learn."
"Only if you can tutor me for English class," grinned Eddie, his heart beating fast. His natural charisma was coming back alive.
You nod. "Well, it seems like everything is fine and dandy here," you said, crossing Hellfire's name from your clipboard. "My job here is done for today. You kids stay out of trouble!"
You jokingly pointed at the young boys as you made your way out the club. "[Surname]!" yelled Eddie, before you walked through those doors. You turned to face him along with the Hellfire members, watching the interaction unfold. "You're welcome to join this club any time you want."
"Definitely," you threw Eddie a wink before you closed the doors behind you.
"Woah dude, congrats. You made yourself not look like a total idiot this time," joked Dustin.
You chuckled before walking away, your feet scurrying at how excited you felt. This was definitely going somewhere.

Its was a Wednesday morning.
And Eddie could feel Jason's eyes boring onto his skull. He took a quick glance at Jason, fury written all over his face. You didn't seem to notice as you batted your eyelashes at Eddie. Your teacher had gifted your class free ten minute to do whatever you wanted before class ended.
You obviously took your chance to talk to Eddie who would always sit behind the class in the corner. "You've been showing up to class lately, Munson," you started. "Detention is no longer a fun place for you?"
Eddie chuckled nervously, tearing his eyes away from Jason and focusing on you. "I got a little bored dealing with the guys at detention," smirked Eddie. "Besides, I get to see my favorite person in this class. You, [Surname]."
You felt yourself get goosebumps, taken aback by Eddie's flirting. This boy was going to be the death of you some day.
"Plus, you offered to be my tutor, and I couldn't pass up on that," said Eddie. You scooted your chair closer towards him and Eddie swore he could feel his heart racing faster. Your legs were mere inches away from his, it somehow felt indecent even if it was not.
"I'm glad that you're finally taking your education seriously," you said. "What day is available for you?"
"Thursday, after school?" offered Eddie.
Your face dropped. "I can't. I have to help out for the Basketball event tomorrow." Eddie looked back at Jason. He was whispering to his friends before his group turned to look at you and Eddie.
"That sounds like a nightmare," responded Eddie, impolitely.
You knew Eddie did not have a good relationship with anyone from this school, especially those in the Basketball team. You tried finding a way to articulate your next words but the bell had started to ring.
"I know you don't like the Basketball team," you said, getting up from your seat. "But you should come by tomorrow, we can sort out the details there."
The idea of staying after school for anything else but Hellfire did not appeal Eddie in the slightest. He did not enjoy Basketball and he definitely did not like those jerks who played in it.
"Uh, I'll see if I have time," mumbled Eddie, also getting up from his chair.
Eddie saw the hope you had fade away, only nodding at his response. "Of course, if you can't. We can always try the weekend," you said, giving Eddie an awkward smile. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Eddie watched you leave the classroom, obviously bummed out he didn't take up on your offer. He hated how you had to help out in extracurricular events he hated.
"She's class president so you're gonna have to do things you don't normally do," said Dustin to Eddie. Eddie felt embarrassed that he was asking a literal child for advice. He was deeply infatuated with you but Eddie refused to admit it verbally. "That is if you really do like her."
Eddie frowned. He really did like you, maybe he would give it a try just this one time.
"Freak!" sneered Jason, passing by Eddie and Dustin in the halls.
Or maybe not.
═════════•°• ⚠ •°•═════════
Its Thursday evening.
The shoes squeaking from the floor and constant dribbling made your head hurt. You hated being at most sporting events, loud parents shouting at the top of their lungs and kids leaving candy wrappers all over the floor.
You had thought about cancelling and not coming but you had given your word. You weren't going to back out from a promise regardless of how tedious it might be. You noticed Jason constantly shooting glances at you whenever he earned a point. You knew he was hoping on impressing you but you would just give him a dismissive smile.
God, you wished Eddie was here. Maybe then this event wouldn't drag out for so long.
You hear the doors open, turning around to see Eddie. Your eyes lit up, sure he was hours late but he appeared nonetheless. You watched as he made his way up the top of the bleachers.
You turn to look at the vice-president. "Cover for me, please? I'll be back," you said, as they nodded.
You stood up from your seat, quickly making your way over to Eddie. "I thought you weren't going to come," you said, trying to hide your excitement.
"I was debating on it, honestly," responded Eddie, scooting over to the side. He patted the spot right next to him, indicating for you to take a seat.
"Thank the heavens you appeared!" you exclaimed. "I was so bored. You're my savior, Munson!"
"Just call me Eddie," he smiled. "I thought I'd be of company because I can only imagine how boring this would be."
You both hear a screech from a child, diverting both of your attention before laughing.
"Is this what you have to deal with?" laughed Eddie.
"This is nothing compared to other times," you softly lay on Eddie before retracting.
Eddie laughed nervously, feeling his emotions for you intensify. He looked over at the court where Jason was standing, seeing both of you.
"Seems like you have a secret admirer," joked Eddie, hiding his insecurities.
"Who?" You turn to look at Jason, catching a glimpse of him before he was running around in the court once again. "Oh, Jason? Don't worry about him, I have my eyes on someone else."
"Who?" asked Eddie, rather quickly.
"You," you responded, simply. You could tell Eddie was caught off guard, almost like it was his first time a girl had ever confessed to him. You saw him try to articulate his words but you needed to go back into your respective position. "I gotta go, Eddie. You plan on going to the festival tomorrow?"
"Y-yeah," stuttered Eddie, still in shock. How was it so easy for you to just confess to him like nothing.
"Great, it's a date then!" you exclaimed. You gave him a kiss on the cheek before heading back to your spot.
You made the right decision making the first move. The universe only knew where you would be at right now if you had waited on Munson to make the first move.
═════════•°• ⚠ •°•═════════
It was Friday night.
Dustin watched Eddie check himself out in the rear-view mirror. Dustin for the life of him could not believe that Eddie had scored such a catch like yourself. It felt like Eddie did not even try and he just aimlessly landed a date with you. It had to be a joke.
"I don't believe you have a date with, [Name]," stated Dustin, matter-of-factly.
"Believe it, you little twerp," insulted Eddie, feeling offended.
"C'mon, I don't believe for a second you did," Dustin crossed his arms. "You said it yourself, you couldn't even properly talk to her without being nervous. Did you even ask her out?"
Eddie stayed quiet, choosing not to say anything.
"Oh my god!" laughed Dustin. "Now we know who's going to wear the pants in the relationship!"
"Shut up, Henderson," muttered Eddie, getting out of his van. He felt his nerves intensify as he slowly approached your house.
He stopped midway, overthinking all of his life choices. Right now, Eddie felt a strong urge to just leave and hide in his trailer. Instinctively, Eddie turned around but was scolded by Dustin.
"Idiot! What are you doing!? Her house is that way!" yelled Dustin.
Eddie frowned, wanting to cuss out his friend but restrained from doing so. He walked right back towards your house, feeling ashamed that he was following orders from a freshman. Fixing his denim vest, Eddie started knocking on your door.
You opened the door, excited that the Eddie Munson was at your house, ready to take you on a date. How many times have you dreamed of this moment and now it was finally happening.
"You look amazing," complimented Eddie.
"Eh, I tried," you responded, locking the door and closing it behind you.
"Uh, I brought my friend Henderson," warned Eddie. "He only asked me for a ride, he isn't going to be anywhere near us."
You could tell Eddie was trying not to drive you away. You simply chuckled, find it endearing he was bringing his friend despite being on a date. Eddie continued his rambling, only for you to stop him in his tracks.
"It's fine, Eddie," you said. "You're just being a good friend, I like that in people."
You pulled him by his denim vest and gave him a kiss on his cheek. You headed towards Eddie's van, leaving him starstruck. Dustin was outside the van holding the door open for you, mimicking the actions of a butler.
"Your seat is ready, my lady," said Dustin, bowing his head down.
You laughed. "Thank you, sir," you bowed down before entering the van. Dustin closed the door, Eddie coming up behind him.
"Since when are you a charmer," glared Eddie at his young friend.

King of Freaks & The Class President. | Eddie Munson
Tumblr media
pairing: eddie munson x f!reader
summary: being class president and dating eddie munson proves to be much harder than expected. but one thing was for sure, whoever messes with eddie, messes with you.
content/warning: class president!reader, mentions of weed usage, bullying, mentions of fighting, cussing, pet names, mentions of bruises
You and Eddie together?
It was supposed to be a recipe for disaster. Who in their right mind decides to date Eddie Munson - willingly - while being class president?
Only you, of course.
Many thought you were making a big mistake. You had your whole life ahead of you. Good grades, a scholarship, you were the class president and everyone knew who you were. For you to mix yourself with someone like Eddie was seen as the worst thing you could've ever done.
Eddie thought the same as everyone. You had such a perfect life ahead of you, why waste it on someone like him? He was a repeated senior who sold drugs and constantly rambled about D&D, what good did he have to offer?
Even then, you still didn't seem to be bothered by that fact. Every time Eddie brought it up you would always shake your head and reassure him he was the best thing in your life.
"Listen, I'm living my best life out here," you said, giving him a big smile. "I'm class president and I have a handsome boyfriend who lets me get high for free." You threw him a wink, making Eddie laugh. You hopped on the bed right next to him, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "Look, don't worry about me. As long as nobody is picking on you, we are a-okay!"
You gave Eddie a kiss on the cheek before rambling about what movie to watch for the night. You didn't catch Eddie's smile faltering as he repeated what you said over and over in his head.
Right, as long as he wasn't getting picked on.
Eddie wasn't going to lie and say that being with you didn't offer him a lot of advantages. One of those perks was finally being left alone and not getting constantly picked by Jason and his crew.
Well, sorta.
Yeah they have stopped pestering him and making fun of him, but that was only in front of you. The only reason being was because Jason had to be in good terms with the class president. Now, Jason had resorted to bullying Eddie whenever you weren't around or after school when you were busy with after school activities.
You had always told Eddie if Jason ever bothered him, you wouldn't hesitate in defending him. While it was nice and all that you were ready to defend Eddie at any given moment, he didn't think you would go as far as to ruin your own future in doing so.
Eddie was a self proclaimed coward. Violence was not something he was equipped in facing unless he was backed into a corner. Interactions with Jason never went beyond just meaningless words thrown at each other.
There were those rare occasions Jason would try to physically beat up Eddie, but all that came to a full stop. Once you were assigned position as class president it was hands off Eddie, at least while you were around. Nobody wanted the class president being up their ass for picking on your boyfriend.
"You're lucky your girlfriend is class president," sneered Jason, as he passed by Eddie in the hallways.
Eddie was not dumb. Even if he had failed his senior year many times, Eddie knew when he was at an advantage. He could've easily made his way to you and tell you how Jason was on his ass again. Eddie did not have a problem asking for your help, what he did have a problem with was how reckless you could get.
"What!?" you exclaimed, fuming.
Eddie bit his nails nervously as he watched you become angrier by the second. He had forgotten all about keeping up his persona in front of the new Hellfire members, too afraid to say anything that would set you off even more.
"Baby-" tried Eddie.
"Don't 'baby' me, Eddie!" you yelled back at your boyfriend unintentionally. "Why didn't you tell me this was happening!?" You then turn to look at the new kids, Mike and Dustin. "And you guys! Why didn't you guys mention anything!"
Dustin gasped, offended at your accusation. "In our defense your boyfriend told us to be quiet-!" Dustin started but Eddie shot him a menacing look, indicating he shouldn't speak any further. You glared at Eddie as he gave you a toothy grin to try and calm the waters down.
"So you deliberately hid the fact you guys were getting picked on by the Basketball team!?" you asked, incredulously. You stared at the pages on your hand filled with mean names and notes directed at the boys who were part of the Hellfire club. "I am going to beat those sons of bit-!"
You started making your exit but Eddie held you back before you could do irreversible damage. This hadn't been the first time you reacted badly to news like these. Eddie knew you weren't lying when you meant you wanted to beat up Jason and his little group of friends.
You had been in physical altercations before with other people for picking on you. It was almost a wonder to Eddie how you even managed to get the position of class president. He could not take the risk though, regardless of whether you meant your threats or not. Eddie felt like he already ruined some part of your senior year simply for being with him. He would not let you throw away your scholarships and position just so that you could knock some sense into Jason.
"No, no, no, no, no, love," said Eddie, struggling to keep you in his grip. The Hellfire members watched as Eddie tried to keep his you at bay, surprised at the strength you possessed. You tried getting Eddie off you without harming him but to no avail. "You're staying here, you're not going anywhere."
"I told you guys if any of those idiots were picking on you to tell me!" you exclaimed, frustrated. "I'm part of this club too and it is my job as class president to defend you guys!"
Eddie felt his heart flutter seeing at how you took your position so seriously. No one deserved that spot more than you and you always proved it to him, but the way you were acting would not fly well with the school. With his face alone, Eddie signaled his friends to get away from the room. The Hellfire club quickly gathered their things before leaving the room. There, Eddie let you go of you as you unleashed your anger at the empty boxes that were on a corner.
For someone who always portrayed herself as friendly and outgoing, you were intimidating when you were angry. Eddie did not believe how feisty you could get when pushed to the absolute edge until he himself witnessed it one time. He still remembered how his legs shook, feeling both scared and proud.
'My girlfriend is a badass,' Eddie came to that conclusion that night.
You were now in his trailer, holding an ice pack on your shins to try and calm the swelling down. You had bruised your feet kicking the boxes as hard as you could, trying to get rid of your anger. You felt ashamed at how you reacted in front of the young freshman but all you could see was red at the time.
You refused to look at Eddie as he sat right beside you, watching you hiss in pain as you soothed your bruises. You felt like you had failed your boyfriend. You swore up and down to Eddie that no harm would come to him as long as you were around. All of the teasing and abuse Eddie would endure would all come down to a stop.
Jason and his popular clique had to begrudgingly comply if they ever wanted extra funds for their sporting events. Instead, they figured out a loophole, as long as you weren't around they could make fun of Eddie.
"Why didn't you tell me..." you muttered, sadly. Eddie sighed, fidgeting with his rings as he tried coming up with the proper words.
"I did - well - I tried..." started Eddie, avoiding your stare. "But... I didn't want you to ruin the good things you have in life right now, sweetheart."
"What do you mean?" you asked, confused.
"Well, for starters, I know you've been getting flack from your friends ever since you started dating me," Eddie laughed softly but you had the opposite reaction, staring at him intensely. "What I mean is, you have all of these things! You have a future! A scholarship to whichever college you want to go to."
Eddie sighed. "I don't know why - or how I even managed to land such an amazing hot girlfriend like you." You suddenly felt shy at the sudden compliments. "I'm the freak. The lowlife who doesn't deserve you and is only good for bringing you down."
You tried to retaliate but Eddie shushed you, it was his time to open up to you. "Point is, you could've gone with anyone that wasn't me. You could've gone for someone like Jason, for christ's sake."
"I don't like Jason," you responded. Eddie smiled, leaning forward to give you a kiss.
"I just didn't want you freaking out and acting irrationally like you did earlier," said Eddie, scooting forward next to you. "You worked so hard just to be class president and for that scholarship. You can't let those pricks get to you. Although, I would've love to see you beat Jason."
You chuckle as you light shake your head. "But what about the kids? I promised Mike and Dustin of they ever got picked on, I would deal with it," you said, staring up at Eddie with innocent eyes. Eddie felt his heart flutter, you were always worried about others besides yourself.
"We'll be able to deal with it just fine, love" reassured Eddie, resting your head on his chest. "I was handling shit like this way before you came into the picture. And those boys, by next year they won't have to ever see Jason again. Just promise me you won't do anything reckless."
You sighed. "Okay..." you gave in. Eddie was relief that you finally decided to drop the conversation. He didn't want the rest of his weekend to be about that idiot Jason.
In reality, you were not over the situation quite yet. Words could not describe how angry you were and how little you could do to help Eddie and the Hellfire club. You had tried talking to your teachers and the principals about Jason's behavior but all they could do was shrug their shoulders and say 'they're just having light hearted fun'. Light hearted fun your ass, you were ready to confront Jason now.
But Eddie was right. You couldn't act the way you wanted to, you had big responsibilities now with equally serious consequences if you ever fought someone from the Basketball team. Especially Jason. It didn't make you feel any happier knowing you both had a project to present Monday.
Wait-
That's right! The english project you two had worked on.
"What movie do you wanna watch tonight, sweetheart," asked Eddie, smiling at you.
"Wait a second, Eddie," you said, getting up from his bed and going straight to your backpack. You rummaged through your stuff, hoping that the paper both you and Jason had worked on was inside your bag. "I hope I didn't leave it at home..."
"Leave what at home?" asked Eddie.
"This!" You exclaimed, holding the sheets of paper proudly. Eddie rolled his eyes, annoyed that you were still thinking about Jason.
"Seriously? You're thinking about that stupid english pro-" Eddie stopped his babbling, watching as you ripped your papers into tiny little pieces. "What are you doing?!"
"Ripping the project I had with Jason," you said, shrugging it off. You picked up the pieces of paper that were on the floor. "He's going to get an F now as revenge."
"But so are you!"
You once again shrugged it off. "Oh well. I do great in that class, anyways. I don't know about Carver though."
Eddie stared at you in amazement. You always went above and beyond to show him how much you cared for him. You joined his Hellfire club despite your friends telling you to do the opposite. You went out of your way to go and watch him and his band practice, aside from your busy schedule. Plus, you went out of your way to try and help him with his grade so he could graduate on time.
Not many would go that far for their boyfriend. You truly were a blessing in disguise.
"You down to watch The Evil Dead?" asked Eddie, holding a copy of the movie.

i love you. | Gojo Satoru
Tumblr media
pairing: gojo satoru x f!reader
summary: gojo confesses to you in the middle of your vows. (gojo satoru's pov)
content/warnings: modern au, wedding, dramatic set of events, angst, happy ending, implied sex, implied cheating
a/n: i got inspired by two shows i really like, lol
"He's not yours, I am!" yelled out Gojo. Just like everyone at the event, Gojo was caught by surprise by what he said.
His back was turned to the guests attending the venue, but Gojo felt all of their eyes on him. He didn't care though, Gojo felt more nervous seeing your face of shock.
"I-I mean..." Gojo trailed off, trying to come up with an excuse.
He was awful at communicating. Who in their right mind thinks about confessing to somebody on their wedding day? Apparently him, Gojo's ego just couldn't help but be the center of attention more than he already was.
Nanami immediately got up from his seat, grabbing Gojo by the collar.
"You need to leave, Satoru," glared the tall blonde at Gojo.
Gojo struggled to get Nanami off him as the guests started whispering, making up theories as the scene unfolded. It didn't matter though, all that mattered was you. How heartbroken you looked seeing as the man you loved was trying to be dragged away.
Gojo knew this was hard for you and he shouldn't do something this stupid, but his gut told him otherwise. He couldn't stop thinking about the trip you two took before your wedding day. You showed him you still loved him, even when Gojo was busy being a womanizer and trying to get his feelings in check.
Gojo knows he left you in the dark, not knowing whether your feelings were reciprocated or not. He didn't know how to express his feelings properly, he grew up in a cold and isolating home. By the time Gojo did have his feelings in check, you had rejected him.
That trip was the best thing that had ever happened to him. You gave yourself to him fully and so did he, finally trusting you with his feelings. By the time you two had to go back home, Gojo told you to drop your fiancée and come with him. He could give you what the other guy couldn't.
"'Toru, you run from one thing to the next," you told him. Gojo felt a knot in his throat form. "I've seen it myself, and believe me, I trust you. But I don't trust you with my heart. I'm sorry.
You were in no position to apologize, Gojo had shown you time and time again he couldn't be trusted. He was careless, the only woman he ever felt love for and affection was going to marry off to some guy she didn't even love.
Maybe this was his karma for playing and toying with those who were genuinely interested in him in the past.
"Gojo, stop struggling and let it be," whispered Nanami. There was no point in whispering, everyone was able to hear him. Your fiancée held your hands tightly, his face was furious at the scene.
No, Gojo was going to confess to you. Even if it was selfish and horrible of him to do so, Gojo needed to know. He needed to know you were ready to put him behind to start a new life with this clown. Gojo needed to know if that trip you took with him meant nothing. If you giving your body, mind and soul to him meant nothing.
Gojo gave Nanami a hard shove before stepping closer to you.
"I miss you," started Gojo, feeling his body shake. "I need you in my life!"
Gojo bit his tongue. He wasn't use to saying this, but it was the only way to know. The only way he thought could snap you out of reality.
"And I..." started Gojo as he looked you in the eyes. "Love you..." It came out almost like a whisper. "I love you." repeated Gojo a little louder.
The guests at the venue stood quiet, not knowing what to do or what to say. None of them had any idea what was happening or what history the two of you had aside from close friends. To their knowledge, Gojo was probably some lonely loser ex boyfriend who couldn't let you go.
Well, they were half right, just not the boyfriend part.
Almost like he was afraid, Gojo closed his eyes and repeated, "I love you, I love you, I love you." He opened his eyes to see you, shocked but almost happy.
This is what you wanted from him all along. For him to be honest with you, for Gojo to finally start telling you he loved you. That all those years you spent chasing after him, were worth it.
While a bit pretentious to show up at your wedding-even after being banned-to confessed his love to you. You could tell this was his own (peculiar) way of showing you, he was no longer afraid. Gojo was ready to take that risk of falling in love with you after being so afraid of it.
You couldn't be more happier, a smile escaped your lips before recognizing the situation you were in. You turned to look back at your fiancée, scared. He had known about you and Gojo's history together, he had gone out of his way to propose to you early in the relationship just to ward off the egocentric man.
Your fiancée sighed, not even banning Gojo could he keep him from stealing the spotlight. Your fiancée took off his wedding ring and tucked it into your hand gently before closing it.
"Go ahead," your fiancée smiled gently. "I know what your answer is."
You were at the verge of tears, you had hurt the person that genuinely loved you and wanted to build a life with you. This wasn't fair for him.
"Please, I'm sorry-"
"It's fine," your fiancée cut you off. "I forgive you, but I never want to see you ever again."
You wiped your tears away before nodding and holding up your dress, making your way towards Gojo. You grabbed his hand and he instantly held yours as both of you made your way out of the venue.
Gojo never regretted his decision that day. Even though he ended up on the wrong side with some people, he didn't care. Gojo was finally able to be happy with you. You granted him the chance to redeem himself and show you his true love.
"Love," said Gojo, looking at his hand. He was staring at the wedding ring he had on.
"What's up, 'Toru?" you asked, yawning. It was already night time, and the only light emanating was from the TV. You were laying your head on Gojo's lap, already drifting off to sleep.
"I love you," he smiled down at you. You couldn't see but Gojo's smile was soft.
"I love you more..." you responded tiredly.
"No, I love you more."

Small Worlds | Cassie Howard
Tumblr media
pairing: cassie howard x f!reader
summary: cassie is messy and tries to find a way to cope with her problems by not confronting the issue, so she runs in the arms of someone just as messy as her.
content/warnings: homophobia, fwb, unhealthy relationships, slut-shaming, bitch!reader, mentions of sex, weed/cigarette usage, objectification, daddy issues, mentions of a fight, unrequited love(?), homophobic slur (d-word), cheating, toxic!reader
Cassie wasn’t too bright in her decision making. She was always caught up in her own problems to properly process how her decisions could affect her later on.
Cassie didn’t think through it properly when she decided to associate herself with you. It was supposed to be a strictly beneficial thing, at least the both of you agreed. Of course, Cassie was ignoring how a relationship like this could affect her later on.
She didn’t think too much of it, there was no way you two would build any other sort of chemistry aside from sexual. There would be no way Cassie could date someone that reminded her of her friend Maddie. You were outspoken and confident in your own sexuality, although you were very much different.
For one, you were only attracted to girls. There were always those guys that would come up to you, not-so-subtly asking for a chance. You would always reject them in a semi-nice way at first but depending on how they took their rejection, you didn’t mind knocking them - literally - down.
Cassie did remember in one of your many encounters you had mentioned you used to be in boxing. Or still were, she didn’t know, you never went further in a conversation of your own life. You’d usually put your clothes back on and leave or start up another sexual activity.
Maybe that's why Cassie found it so easy to keep you around. You didn't really offer much information about your life and you kept things simple. Cassie would still be able to swoon over guys who easily got her hopes up with meaningless words and she'd have your sexual relationship to fall back onto in case things didn't go her way.
Which was surprisingly a lot of times. You'd always have to begrudgingly listen to Cassie's sad stories about her life revolving around men. Even though it irked you to the core seeing how comfortable this girl had got around you, you felt forced to be there for her and lend a helping hand.
After that, Cassie had an affinity towards you. She no longer thought about your encounters as casual like you still did. It was hard to ignore the tender looks Cassie would give you in bed. How she would get shy talking to you in the hallways and sometimes ditch class to visit you during lunch.
"Cassie, what the fuck do you want?" You took a long drag from your blunt before exhaling it.
"I just... wanted to visit you," Cassie gave you a shy smile.
You gave Cassie a dirty look, wondering why she was acting so weird all of the sudden. She was hot, no doubt about that, but you wanted to tell her to fuck off. You had no desire to start a friendship with her much less a relationship. It was the perfect time to tell her your relationship was strictly about fucking.
Although you didn't say any of that to Cassie. You don't know why, maybe it was because you semi-related to her family situation. Cassie had an absent father, and while yours was still around he wasn't much accepting on the way you express yourself. Or maybe you just like to think it was good ass blunt that had you acting differently than usual.
"Goddamit..." You sighed. You held out your blunt to Cassie. "You wanna smoke with me then?"
You knew you had to tell her the truth. Cassie was laying right next to you, breathing heavily and staring at you with half-lidded eyes. You weren't ready for her affections, you weren't ready for anybody's affections. You had two options right now, break Cassie's spirit and not get her hopes up or indulge her in her fantasies for a while.
"[Name]..." Cassie gasped, seeing as you were leaning towards her face.
"Shut up, Cassie..." You dived in for a kiss.
You decided to indulge her for a moment.
━━━━ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ━━━━
You knew Cassie would open her big mouth and out the both of you. Not that you minded, it didn’t come to a shocker you were having a promiscuous relationship with somebody but more with who that somebody was. Cassie Howard.
The boys at school saw her as easy game, all it took for Cassie to be swooned for somebody was a few soft words here and there. Although now that everybody knew about the both of you guys, you were sure the boys would be all up on her ass.
And you were right, the whole week leading up to the party, everyone tried to swoon Cassie. Even the dickhead of the football team, Nate Jacobs was on her ass again. You already knew of him, and you had no ounce of respect for him at all. Although both of you always managed to stay at arms length to not get in a fight.
Nate had a different story with Cassie. During one of your many nights together, Cassia had a breakdown, all of the guilt building up inside her. She had told you she cheated on her ex and had a fling with Nate. Her guilt was drowning her, Cassie regretted the whole night but she never build up the courage to tell her best friend of her mistake.
That night you provided comfort for Cassie. Instead of doing your normal routine, you held her on the couch while watching movies and caressing her hair. Cassie felt safe with you but you felt the opposite.
While you admit you grew some sort of affection for her, the situation Cassie was in had dawned on you hard. You weren't hopeful for a perfect romantic relationship, but you knew that if you found the right one, you wouldn’t be dealing with this shit.
There were times throughout the day you thought about how it would feel like to be with Cassie and do normal couple things. She was pretty, and you didn’t mind her presence that much anymore. You did acknowledge you had potential to feel something more for her but with the bizarre spur of words that came out of Cassie’s mouth that day changed it.
You always knew Cassie wasn’t emotionally strong. While she had promised to be a better version of herself, she constantly kept on relying on boys to make her feel validated.
You were no idiot. You just chose to ignore shit that was happening around you constantly that didn’t concern you. Yet, recently you found yourself noticing little things Cassie did. You probably always noticed but you would refuse to acknowledge that.
It’s probably why you also refuse to acknowledge why Cassie keeps talking about Nate or staring at him in class. That may be why Nate has been keeping his eyes on you.
There had been a couple of incidents where Nate had called you a dyke. You had to be restrained by your friends to not beat his ass in the halls. While he would always leave with a shit eating grin on his face, you weren’t going to let him get away off the hook just because you couldn’t put your hands on him in school.
While you knew of Nate’s increased disdain on you had something to do with Cassie, you didn’t want to think of the bigger implications of their relationship.
You didn’t know if you had reached a breaking point after Cassie confessed to you her guilt. All you know is that your relationship with her was now changed. In a way where Cassie didn’t know, at least not yet.
One day, Maddie had approached you after school, finding you in the same spot Cassie would always find you. You cursed under your breath seeing her walk towards you, already annoyed at Maddie. You didn’t like her at all and the feeling was mutual. You two only behaved in front of Cassie but you were sure if she weren’t there, you and Maddie would’ve settled your issues in a fight.
“I need to talk to you,” said Maddie, crossing her arms as she stood in front of you.
You took a hit of your cigarette. “Well, you’re here,” You responded, blowing all of the smoke out in Maddie’s face.
Maddie’s face contorted in disgust, letting out an “ew”.
“This is serious, so listen, bitch!” exclaimed Maddie, concern written on her face. “I have a feeling Cassie is fucking Nate.”
She is.
“What the fuck does that have to do with me,” You said, facing away from Maddie.
“Cassie’s is my best friend and your girlfri-“
You glared at Maddie. “She isn’t my fucking girlfriend,” You hissed, putting your cigarette off on the walls of the school building.
“Okay, whatever, bitch!” yelled Maddie. “Fucking listen to me and listen to me good. If I find out Cassie fucked him, I won’t hesitate to hurt her!”
You shrugged. You were sure if Maddie had told you this before Cassie admitted to hooking up with Nate, you wouldn’t hesitate to put her ass to the ground. Now, the situation was different, you had let that comment slide maybe, just maybe, because you were feeling bitter Cassie was still searching for Nate.
You didn’t know when or how it happened but you clearly had stopped caring. Just like Cassie you had started being with someone else on the side. Worst off, with her best friend.
You and Maddie were both high. She somehow found you after a big fight with Nate and all it took was a smoking session before things went down hill. Before you knew it, Maddie was on top and making out with you.
You knew you could’ve stopped it, knowing that Cassie wouldn’t take it in well if she found out you and Maddie had sex. Although, you knew Maddie didn’t care in the moment. Which gave you more of a reason to just continue it.
‘Fuck it, she’ll thank me later,’ you thought. You hid behind the excuse that Cassie fucked Nate first, so it was entirely okay that Maddie was treating her friend the same way even if she didn’t know.
There was no need to act this irrationally and you knew these bad decisions would all lead to drama but it didn’t have to involve you. You were perfectly fine before meeting Cassie. All of her problems were her own, not yours.
You wanted to curse her, be angry at her and while you did unleash your anger at her in ways she would find out later, you couldn’t blame her.
Maybe your loneliness had caught up to you, you had mistaken those loving and tender looks Cassie would give you in bed as part of your imagination. All of those times she wanted to skip class or get to know you was probably her offering you a piece of her friendship, not love.
In reality, Cassie did want to pursue something further with you. She wanted so badly to stop the soft words Nate would give her to persuade her to continue being with him.
Maybe you’d still give her a chance, Cassie promised herself she would leave what she had with Nate to be with you, hopefully you’d still be waiting for her by that time.
Although for you, you had closed of the possibility of ever wanting to be with her.

getting married to Spider-Man/Peter Parker
Tumblr media
→ first things first
Peter needs a girlfriend that is fully supportive of what he does, despite his job being dangerous.
If both of you are constantly fighting, Peter would in no doubt break off the relationship. Peter absolutely hates fighting with you.
Peter also expects 100% loyalty from his partner. This precious bean would love his partner so much he wouldn’t even think of cheating, so he expects for you to do the same.
Peter would want to have a big family of his own. This boy dreams of having a child with you twenty-four seven, he doesn’t even hide it.
→ engagement
Peter would propose to you after coming home from a fight. He would enter from the window and see you lying awake. Peter would be so overcome by emotions, realizing how much you mean to him. He would give you a long speech about how much he loved you and asked you to marry him.
∘ “I’m in love with you, [Name]. I wouldn’t know what my life would be like without you, and I don’t want to imagine a world without you. Please, marry me.”
It wasn’t a planned out proposal, he didn’t even give you a ring but you could give less of a damn about that.
After a week or two, Peter would give you an official proposal, with a ring and all.
He would ask Tony to help him by holding a big party. Everyone would be there, Aunt May, Ned, Michelle and the Avengers.
Peter would just lead you outside to the balcony and everyone would be watching him propose to you.
∘ “I know I already proposed to you last time, but I didn’t exactly give you the ring. So now, I’m giving you a proper proposal. I’ll ask again, will you do me the honor of marrying me and becoming part of the Parker family?” He would ask you, standing on one knee.
∘ “What do you think? Of course, I already said yes!” You exclaimed, crying out of happiness and engulfing him in your arms.
Everyone would be cheering for you and would be so happy that Peter found his true love.
Literally doesn’t even take Aunt May a minute before she brings up the topic of “When will I be expecting my grandchild?”
→ preparations + wedding
Your anxiety levels would be up against the roof with the planning and everything.
Peter would constantly worry about you. He would even take days off when you were feeling sick, choosing to plan everything for you for a few days.
This boy calls you Mrs. Parker before you’re even married.
Peter is absolutely one of those guys that keeps count of the days.
∘ “Only fifty more days til’ we get married, babe!” Peter would exclaim, raising his fist in the air.
∘ “I know...” You would reply.
Peter’s bachelor party would just be with his friend Ned and Michelle. They would goof off around all day but Peter would find himself missing you a whole lot.
∘ “You know, [Name], I missed you,” Peter would say, tiredly as he held you close.
∘ “You were only away for like-what-six hours?” You laughed, kissing his neck
The day before your wedding, Aunt May would separate the two of you, telling Peter he couldn’t see you until you got to the altar.
∘ “But Aunt May!” whined Peter.
∘ “No buts, mister!” exclaimed Aunt May, pushing him out of the house
No worries, Peter would still come by late at night just to reassure you he loved you and couldn’t wait to see you in your dress tomorrow.
∘ “You will look absolutely stunning, love,” said Peter, kissing your nose.
Peter wasn’t wrong at all, to be honest. You looked beautiful than he would’ve ever imagined, he started to tear up a little.
∘ “Peter, stop embarrassing yourself...” whispered Tony.
∘ “I’m sorry, Mr. Stark,” said Peter, rubbing his nose.
Peter would have a hard time trying not to kiss you. The loving looks you gave him just made him want to grab your face and kiss you.
∘ “You may kiss the bride,” said the priest, closing his book.           ∘ “Oh, thank god!” exclaimed Peter, grabbing your face and kissing you.
The wedding looked really expensive, and it was. Tony outdid himself with this one, he wanted the best of the best for both you and Peter. Although you tried to tell him it would be better to keep it simple, Tony wouldn’t take no for an answer.
→ honeymoon
This man will not take his hands off of you. Peter will engulf you in a hug twenty-four seven and kiss your lips all the time.
∘ “Peter!” You laughed, pushing him off of you playfully.
Peter will make love to you every night, showing you how much you mean to him. This man will never get tired of your body, he’s completely intoxicated with you.
He would talk about your future together and how much he can’t wait to have a family with you.
Also, picture galore.
Peter will take pictures of you everywhere. Everywhere.
He will have no shame walking into a meeting next time and showing you off. Peter would be proud of you, no shame.
→ the married life
Your bond with Peter would increase over the years.
Peter still couldn’t believe that you were his wife even after many years.
∘ “I still can’t believe you’re my wife...” said Peter, staring at the ring that was on your finger.
∘ “Well believe it,” You retorted, kissing his lips.
Aunt May would pay you a lot of visits, knowing how lonely you get since Peter is in and out of the house a lot.
You would facetime Peter every night, checking in on him.
∘ “Are you okay?” You asked, biting your nails nervously. “Did you eat? When are you coming home?”
∘ “Guys! Look, [Name] is calling me!” exclaimed Peter, showing you off to the other Avengers. “He, he. I love her.”
You got pregnant by accident. It was the day of your anniversary and you both were drunk.
∘ “Oh no...” You muttered, looking at the pregnancy test.
You weren’t scared to tell Peter you were pregnant, you knew he wanted to have a child at some point. So it wasn’t at all hard for you to confront Peter about it.
∘ “Peter...” You said. “I’m pregnant.”
This boy would absolutely lose his mind.
∘ “Oh my goodness! Really!?” exclaimed Peter, jumping up from his seat. He kneeled over to you and patted your stomach. “Hello, little one.”
Peter couldn’t wait to tell the good news to everybody, so the entire night he spent making calls and giving out the good news. Aunt May was finally proud.
Although it would be a hard decision for Peter to make, he would ultimately resign from being Spider-Man. He wants to be there for his child.
Peter would attend all of the doctor’s appointments, not missing a single one of them at all.
Both of you agree to not have the gender reveal. Peter secretly wanted a girl, if he was being honest.
You couldn’t wait to find out the gender so you went back to find out and you couldn’t have been happier with the news.
As your belly grows, you would have to spend more time laying down and it irritated you that you couldn’t do anything about it.
Your mood swings were also out of the park. One day you would be horny and in a moment you would be crying, saying you were fat and ugly. Peter would be stumped and be stressed in general.
One day, you would get into an argument with Peter and accidentally revealed the gender of your child.
∘ “Wait a minute, it’s a girl?” asked Peter, his mood changing real quick.
You would only nod and tear up seeing as Peter’s expression softened. He would hug you tightly and tear up.
While out with Aunt May, your water would break.
∘ “Oh, oh, my water broke,” You gasped.
Aunt May wouldn’t hesitate to drive you to the hospital while you called Peter that you were going into labor.
Peter instantly dropped from his chair. He left everything behind and raced to his car, driving to the hospital as fast as he could.
After the labor, you both would admire your small daughter, naming small things that reminded you of each other.
Going back home, Peter would take care of his daughter, no questions asked. He would make you rest while he spent time quality time with his daughter.
After his daughter would successfully sleep, Peter would crawl back to bed and hug you.
∘ “Thank you for helping me...” You whispered, tiredly. “I’m sorry for putting everything on you right now.”
∘ “You don’t need to be sorry, this is what I wanted,” said Peter, kissing your nose.
        ∘ “Really?” You asked.
       ∘ “Really,” smiled Peter.
Peter felt like the happiest man in the world. Having an understanding and beautiful wife along with a beautiful daughter too. He was truly the luckiest guy in the world, or at least, that’s how he felt.

“wha-what? n-no! i-i can’t even run fast!”

not hard on pda
he’s pretty nervous about doing anything extreme, like getting weird looks from people passing by
he does get jealous and insecure easily
even if you’re asking a guy a question, he thinks you’ll leave him
you have to reassure him that you will never leave him for anyone else
will often catch him staring at you when you’re taking or paying attention to something else
movie nights every Friday
that is if he doesn’t have to go out on a mission
sometimes, if a mission didn’t go well, you would have to comfort him and encourage him a ton
when the mission goes well, he does something special for you
he once took you out to dinner to meet the entire Justice League
actually, it was Bruce Wayne who set the whole thing up
Diana was bothering him too much because she wanted to get to know you personally
everyone in the Justice League loves you
they’re like a second family to you
you have a protection squad
so be ready to see at least one of them if they think you’ll be in danger

your first time was a bit awkward
constantly asked for permission, annoying you a tad
you had more sense of direction than him
ends up being a good first time despite the soreness
he’s nervous around the Justice League, especially Arthur
Arthur said that in order to become a full-fledged man, he needed to get laid
Barry makes it incredibly obvious when Diana asks about you
“u-um... sh-she’s do-doing gre-great...?”
arthur acts like a proud father
barry probably has a praise kink
he accidentally snapped his hips when you told him he made you feel good
