Beautiful Sunday morning, I am 9 hours rested which is unheard of for me, but only 2 hours rested from the night before. I have a pup on my leg and one at my feet. An incredible husband resting peacefully after a 7 day work week. One of 3 beautiful nieces next to me, fresh brewed pot of coffee and a literal laundry list of things to do. We have been putting in double work days and extra long work days because we are blessed with referrals and with a dedication to kind, thoughtful, thoughtfilled and professional support as well as service. But more than that we are so supportive of who each of you, what you believe in and the love your share that permeates through how your express yourselves in the multitude of facets in your lives. I wake up grateful for each day and each person who has touched our lives and continues to with grace and belief in us. There are so many to thank, but my reminder of who came last night from @_carolinejoy_ who simply wrote a text that read "Hey lady, we're thinking about you." That text brought the most wonderful tears to my eyes 👀 😢 💙. It washed over my exhausted body and illuminated the love in my soul. It inspired me to write the following words to the extremely long list of Fantastic humans that have blessed our life. "Love is a beautiful feeling of happiness that grows stronger with care and attention. Love makes us want to get up in the morning. Love is honest. Love gives us strength and courage. You each have, through your expressions, actions and transparency shown us how love has created the life you live and the love you share. We are beyond grateful to have been given the opportunities to do more than just be of service you, but to also have shared time, laughter and excitement with you. How on Earth do we say thank you? More details shots to come, but first a not so public, public service announcement. We are so grateful that we are already beginning to see requests for celebrations of every kind come across our all correspondence. As the world begins to open up again the event world is quickly noticing that the prediction of the booking frenzie has come to fruition, we are noting that our fellow humans may have forgotten some of their manners during the past year. It breaks my heart to hear that people in our industry are being treated poorly. We have yet to fully discern how the next few months and year will be revealed, but as it does we hope to keep our etiquette intact. Reminders should never have to be sent to be kind and think of others, but perhaps the past year made us a little socially awkward. Being nice to people in the service industry can actually influence others around you to do the same. Many had to postpone or cancel their events and weddings in 2020 and are very much looking forward to the possibility of this year. Bribes to take someone's date, lack of consideration of others, and general rudeness cannot become the norm. It has been awhile since I ventured outside of my immediate mile radius other than the rare drive to Sedona. I feel like I forgot how to dress other than in my Ralph's apron and standard all black. I ventured to Beverly Hills and then West Hollywood to do a walk through and ran into a Trader Joe's to get more hydration (yesterday was vaccine day for me). I am still a bit shocked, but while I was standing waiting to validate my parking, a very nice gentleman offered his hand for me to walk first through the door AND he called me "elegant." I was not in the dress in these images, nor in Paris. I was a velvet light blue jeans, a white gap sloppy t-shirt, a scarf and a floor length off- white cardigan with peep- toe booties and of course a black mask. Maybe I had on sunglasses. Needless to say, instead of feeling cute, I felt awkward because it wasn't my pandemic year almost daily outfit. Elegant caught me off guard and made me overthink a kind compliment. I think I said thank you and hope, truly hope I did. Thank you to the gentleman in the blue shorts and t-shirt for the kind words you offered me.. . . . When I was able, I reached out to a friend to tell them what happened and as they laughed at me this quote was given." . . . The realization that the love songs I listened to endlessly as a child were about me was like the super slow mode on my cell phone into the back of a semi truck. Truthfully, and with so much conviction I say that I can't believe that I am here with him; married, so absolutely enthralled by the unfathomable love I feel for this phenomenal human. I suppose the moment we "found" each other in this life, I knew that the most aligned love was possible. I know I am speaking/writing in verse or poetic form rather than prose, but I find myself, as always, at a loss for expression. My mind always is filled with lovely pictures surrounded by extraordinary descriptions, but I am stifled by trying to write what my mind wants to speak. So, here I go, the simple, beautiful and unbelievable proposal. It was brilliant in its simplicity and it's spontaneity, Mike and I knew that we wanted this adventure together as long as it would take us, but it is still a shock to the heart when someone asks you for forever. I suppose the hopelessly beguiled me, is a sucker for these moments, especially when there is a tremendous disbelief that this moment will ever happen again. Mike and I have an affinity for Paris, a place we both wanted to spend more time in, and once we connected, we knew we wanted to share that time together. The thought of farmers markets, bike riding, wine and cheese somewhere in Paris sounded so dreamlike and we wanted to capture that in a styled shoot with some of our props and of course with our friend, photographer and newest member of our family, Julia. She, so sweetly captures us and our crazy love.
