Hold me close and don’t let go
Tumblr media
Leah Williamson x reader, Lucy Bronze x platonic reader.
Warnings - Angst, Hurt and comfort, Fluff, Mental health struggles
Summary - Reader struggles with depression and Leah is there for them
A/N - Feel free to send in requests! Leah’s acl injury is not a thing in this fic 🫡
———
Depression.
Something that you had struggled with since your late teens, and something that Leah and the rest of the Lionesses were very aware of.
You had your ups and downs, usually you done quite well to tell when a down was about to hit you and you were able to let the necessary people know - Leah, your close friends, the staff at England, and your therapist.
This time, however, was different.
It hit you out of nowhere, drowning you like you had just fallen into a body of water with rocks tied to your ankles. You were exhausted, your body ached, and your mind was a mix between numbness and breathtaking sadness.
Today was the start of the last England camp before the World Cup, and you didn’t want any chance of not being selected so you did your best to cover your black eyes from the night of minimal sleep with makeup and practiced your fake smile.
There was one issue - the girl that knew you best, the girl who could see through you like you were a piece of glass, the girl who was the England captain, the girl who also happened to be your girlfriend. Leah.
You hadn’t seen her in a couple of weeks since you played for Aston Villa while she played for Arsenal. This meant that she hadn’t actually seen you, purely due to you giving excuses of being busy with your team in order to get out of facetiming her. You knew she’d think something was up, especially when she saw you at camp.
———
“Baby!”
Leah shouted with a massive grin on her face after she saw you walk through the doors. You put on a smile, something that you didn’t have to fake too much since you were actually quite happy to see your girlfriend.
“Le.” You said in a more reserved tone, walking over to her and immediately sinking into the comfort of her muscular arms.
Leah could immediately tell something was up with you, with how quiet you were and how exhausted your eyes looked. She pulled you slightly away so she could hold your shoulders and look at you in the eyes.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, she studied your face with her signature frown etched onto her own.
Your smile faltered slightly as Leah studied you, quickly putting it back on. “I’m okay, Le. Tired.” You whispered.
Leah’s face didn’t seem satisfied with your answer, her brow furrowed further and her hands pulled you further into her body.
“You know that’s not true, Y/N/N.” She whispered in response, wanting to keep this conversation between yourselves - for now at least. “Talk to me.” She continued while she walked you both to the corner of the room, away from any looking eyes.
You shook your head. “Leah, just…not now, okay?”
“No. Not okay, you look horrible love.”
You managed to laugh slightly, though it was a mere pathetic puff of air out of your nostrils. “Cheers.”
Leah rolled her eyes before going back to her serious demeanour. “You know what I meant. You’re still my beautiful girl…but you just don’t look you.”
An awkward silence hung in the air before Leah decided to speak again, her left hand resting on your upper arm in a comforting manner.
“You’re having another down, aren’t you?”
Before you could respond you were saved by the bell. Sarina had called you all and it was no coincidence that you hurried over, Leah sighing at the horrible timing.
———
This camp you were roomed with your usual teammate, Lucy Bronze.
Lucy was a good friend of yours, with her slightly mentoring you when you moved up to the senior team. She was also someone that knew you well, but not as well as Leah did.
“Right mate, I’m gonna unpack then head for a shower” Lucy said while you laid down on your bed, spacing out slightly.
When Lucy didn’t get a response from you she turned around to see you staring out of the window.
“Mate?”
You snapped out of your daze, facing Lucy with a small smile. “Yeah, yeah that’s fine.” You nodded, not really knowing what Lucy had said before.
She walked over to you, sitting on the edge of your bed. “Are you alright?” She asked, noticing that there was something off about you.
You nodded. “Yeah, I‘ve just been struggling to sleep recently. Nothing too big.”
Lucy nodded hesitantly before she stood up from your bed and walked back over to her small suitcase.
“Okay…well just make sure to get a decent sleep then. Can’t have you sloppy” Lucy said in a more lighthearted tone, trying to erase the negative cloud that had entered the room.
“Of course Luce, don’t worry. I’ll have an early night.” You reassured her, knowing that tonight was probably going to be another one with minimal sleep.
The next day you somehow woke up more tired than the last. You hadn’t gotten to sleep until 3am, you were up just staring at the dark ceiling while Lucy was fast asleep in the bed next to yours.
You could tell she was concerned with her constant checking up on you but you didn’t think she was concerned enough to do anything, you just kept reassuring her that you were just tired.
Leah also hadn’t relented, your phone pinging with texts that you only gave one word answers to. You missed her, a lot. However, you knew if you fell into her arms one more time you would break down in tears and you couldn’t let that happen on the run up to the World Cup.
That morning after breakfast, Lucy went to find Leah before training started.
“Is Y/N okay?” Lucy asked her with a concerned look in her eyes. You were already out on the pitch with a couple of the girls.
Leah looked up from her boots to see Lucy standing over her. Immediately she sat up straight, the same exact look in her own eyes.
“Honestly, I don’t think so.” She replied with a shake of her head. “Has she been okay with you?” Leah asked Lucy before standing up.
“I mean…she’s not been upset or anything, she just looks very tired. Been spacing out a lot too.”
Leah knew for sure you were struggling, grimacing at the thought of her girlfriend feeling so sad. “Shit.” She whispered.
Lucy looked confused. “Okay mate?”
“Nah, she’s having a down.” Leah replied with a sad look on her face, Lucy immediately getting the severity of the situation.
After their little conversation, Leah and Lucy both ran outside to the training pitch. You were none the wiser on what the two had just discussed, however you now felt two very concerned eyes on you throughout training.
Everyone could tell something was off with you. You were having a hard time in training, your passes were sloppy, and you didn’t look like you were enjoying yourself at all.
———
Your sloppy training and obvious low mood went on for a couple of days. Leah and Lucy were getting more and more concerned about you.
After seeing your performance over the week Leah knew that she was going to have to speak to Sarina about this, both as your girlfriend and as the captain. She knew you’d be pissed but she also hoped you would understand where she was coming from.
“Y/N? Could we have a quick chat?”
You looked up from your dinner to see Sarina standing next to your table with a warm smile on your face. You nodded before standing up, Leah promising to tidy up your things for you while you were away.
Sarina walked you to her small office and invited you to sit down with a smile.
“So, how are you feeling?” She asked you after you both got settled.
You nodded, putting that fake smile back on your face. You were confused about what was happening but you weren’t going to question your manager.
“I’m feeling good, eager to get out there.”
Sarina’s smile turned into a more sympathetic smile as she heard your answer. “Okay, let me ask you a different question. How have you been feeling…mentally?”
Your face went pale and your mouth dry as you heard her. “Sorry?” You whispered out after a few moments of silence.
She sighed. “People have some concerns.”
You shook your head, not believing this was happening.
“Y/N, the whole team are here for you. You need to talk to someone if you’re struggling, you know this.” She continued.
A tear ran down your face as you realised there was no getting out of this. “I’m sorry.” You whispered in a broken voice.
Sarina handed you a box of tissues before looking at you with sympathetic eyes. “I think it’s best if we take you out of the starting line up for now, just until you get that mind of yours sorted.”
You nodded, wanting nothing more than to just get out of this room. Eventually, Sarina let you leave after coming up with a game plan on how to get you feeling better.
As soon as you left her office you saw Leah standing outside, who visibly deflated as she saw your state.
“Baby…” She whispered as she pulled you into her. You were too sad and tired to even be mad at her, and you subconsciously knew that she had done the right thing.
You managed to keep the majority of your tears in while Leah walked you to her shared room with Georgia, who got the message and left straight away when she saw how upset you were.
As soon as you were on Leah’s bed you broke down completely.
“Y/N/N, shhh.” Leah whispered while you curled up in her arms.
You were a wreck, with snot coming out of your nose and your shoulders shaking with your cries. Leah just held you and whispered sweet nothings in your ear, her previous experience meaning she knew exactly what you needed.
She rocked you slowly in her arms as you gradually calmed down. “I’m here, baby. Not going anywhere.”
Gentle kisses were placed on your skin while she stroked your hair.
“I love you, my girl.” She whispered.
Eventually, your cries turned into sniffles as you calmed down. You face was rested in Leah’s neck, who gently took your head and moved it so you were facing her.
She cupped your cheeks before kissing your forehead lovingly. “Beautiful.” She whispered with a soft smile.
“I’ve got snot all over my face.” You whispered in a shaky voice which made Leah laugh slightly.
“You’re still beautiful.”
You cuddled up next to Leah after you both laid back on her hotel bed, immediately putting your head on her chest with the sound of her heartbeat making you feel like everything was going to be okay.
“I’m sorry for not telling you how I was feeling.” You whispered as you took Leah’s hand and started to play with her fingers.
You felt Leah sigh. “It was rather silly, wasn’t it?” She whispered back, neither of you wanting to break the calm mood.
“I’m going to see someone.”
You smiled as you felt Leah begin to play with your hair. “Good girl, I’m really proud of you.”
That night you had your first good sleep you’d had in weeks, all in the comfort of your lovers arms.

Misunderstanding
Tumblr media
Warnings - Angst…kinda, first story after like a year, happy ending 🥳
Summary - Leah thinks you’re cheating.
A/n - I didn’t die…
———
“What the hell is this?”
The sound of your normally content girlfriend’s angry voice bursts through the door to your shared home, disturbing the peaceful vibe in your house.
You placed your book down and sat up properly on the grey sofa you and Leah had purchased when you moved in together six months ago. The two of you had been in a relationship for three years when you both made the decision to buy a house together and everything had been going so well, up until now.
When Leah finally made an appearance in the living room after chucking her training bag on the ground and stomping through the hall, your eyebrows furrowed as you saw the fuming look in your girlfriend’s eyes. You knew this was serious.
“Le what’s wrong? what’s happened?” You asked quickly as you stood up in anxiety, not knowing what to do or what the fuck was happening right now.
The confusion you felt grew when Leah scoffed at you. “Don’t call me that.” She snapped.
“What? Leah what’s going on? I’m worried.”
While you stood awkwardly Leah began to pace in front of you, still giving you no indication of what had gotten her so worked up. “Leah?” You whispered.
She stopped completely and just stared at you with tears in her eyes.
“So was this all just a lie then? The ‘I love you’s? The promises? Everything?” She spat at you, making your heart drop to your stomach and a nauseous feeling wash over you.
“Babe what? of course I love you, what are you on about?” You replied, getting more and more worried.
Leah chucked her phone at the sofa and when you turned around to look you honestly just felt more confused. It was a photo of you and another woman eating lunch together. The photo was taken a couple of days ago as you had recently cut your hair and you were confused on why Leah was so upset over you eating lunch.
“What’s that then? Got nothing to say for yourself?” Leah asked after a moment of silence, her tone sounding very angry.
You handed Leah’s phone back to her before looking at her with that same confused look you’ve had on your face since she had came in.
“That’s me eating lunch with a friend. How did you even get that photo?” You replied. You technically weren’t completely lying, you knew this woman from some of the previous events you had attended with Leah, however she wasn’t necessarily a friend. She was an event planner who also happened to dabble in proposals.
You had wanted to propose to Leah since last year, however you both didn’t live together and you wanted to see how that went before popping the big question. After three months of living together with Leah you got one of your friends to get her number for you and you met up with her a couple of times to plan the proposal.
“A concerned friend sent me it.” Leah replied sharply.
You sighed. “Look I’m a little confused on why you’re so angry at me over having lunch with a friend. Maybe you could explain more before you start screaming at me again.”
Leah shook her head at you before replying. “Is this her?” She asked in a shaky voice.
You put your head in your hands and groaned. “Who? Is that who? Leah you’re not explaining anything.”
“A message came up on your phone last week from Darcy. ‘does she suspect anything?’ So, I clicked on it and looked at a few messages-”
You interrupted Leah. “You went through my phone?” You reply in an annoyed tone.
This seemed to make Leah more angry. “Oh please! You have no right to be annoyed at me for that, you fucking cheated on me!” She shouted at you, making you flinch a little.
“No I didn’t. What the hell, Leah?” You replied back in a slightly raised voice.
She scoffed. “Shall I read you out the messages you sent? ‘Nope she’s in the dark,’ ‘She’s asleep I can call now.’ Are you fucking serious Y/N? Screw you!”
You sat down on the sofa with a groan. Out of context those messages did sound bad, however they were purely just about the proposal.
Tears started to well up in your eyes as you realised that the only way to resolve this would be to tell Leah about your plan to propose to her.
The sound of Leah laughing made you look up at her. “Oh so now you’re crying? You cheat on me and you’re fucking crying? Pathetic.” She replied harshly, making a few tears roll down your face.
“I didn’t fucking cheat on you Leah.”
You wiped your eyes before continuing.
“Fuck I really didn’t want you to find out this way-”
Leah interrupts you. “Oh so you did cheat on me, great.”
You groaned again, “Leah let me finish.”
“Yes the woman in that photo is Darcy, and yes those messages do sound bad, but I promise it’s not what it looks like. Darcy is an event planner, I hired her to help with something.” You explained calmly with a few sniffles. You got your phone out and clicked on your messages with Darcy before handing it to Leah.
“Read all of the messages.” You whispered.
While Leah read through all of the messages more tears began to roll down your face as you thought about how your whole romantic plan was ruined. You had wanted to bring her to the restaurant where you had your first date together, have the whole place booked out and filled with pictures and memories of you both.
After a few minutes of silence Leah talks. “Y/N…oh I’m so sorry.” She whispered, she tried to pull you in for a hug but you shook your head and snatched your phone out of her hands before grabbing your car keys and storming off.
“Y/N wait!”
———
You drove and drove and drove for two hours, trying to calm down after that whole situation.
As you parked up somewhere you finally looked at your phone and saw 50 missed calls from Leah and numerous texts from her.
My Le 💕
Baby I’m so sorry
Please come home I love you so much
Where are you?
Y/N I’m really really worried please just let me know where you are
I love you so much baby girl
Please just let me know you’re safe
I wanna marry you too, please Y/N can you come home?
I didn’t mean any of it
Please come home
You sighed before you started the car again, deciding that you were calm enough to go home again without crying.
As you pulled into the driveway of your shared home with Leah the front door swung open and a crying Leah ran to your car. You opened your door and got out in time for her to tackle you in a big hug.
“Don’t do that ever again. God, are you okay?” Leah cried into your neck. You closed your eyes and let yourself relax into the hug.
As upset as you were, you could never stay angry at Leah.
“Physically I’m fine. Emotionally…not so fine.” You whispered, making Leah kiss your cheek before pulling away.
She pulled you into the house and dragged you to the sofa where she was previously shouting at you two hours ago.
“I’m so fucking sorry Y/N. So sorry.”
Leah took your hands and you let her, which made her smile a little bit before she went back to serious.
“I just saw those messages and I was so confused and hurt and then when I saw that photo I exploded. I should’ve let you talk and I’m so sorry. I love you so much.” She rambled, sounding more and more like she was going to cry the longer she went on.
You look down at both of your hands. “Love you too.” You whispered.
“Yeah? Still?” Leah whispered back, squeezing your hands a little.
“Always. You were fucking stupid and you should’ve talked to me the minute you saw those messages and let me explain but I will still always love you. You’re my Le, that’s for life babe. You’re not getting rid of me that easily.” You replied, feeling less sad. You smiled a little at her as she giggles at your last sentence.
“Would you still be interested in marrying me?”
“Would you still be interested in me asking you to marry me?”
Leah smiles lovingly with tears in her eyes as she nods.
You tightened your grip on her hands and sat up properly. “Okay, well I don’t have a ring yet but here we go. Leah Williamson, will you marry me?” You asked in a shaky voice.
“Yes!”

Would you write a fic where LW and reader have been best friends for years, both play for arsenal. They’ve both been in relationships until this year. Reader thinks she’s straight until she realises she’s in love with her best friend
Confessions
Thank you for the request anon!
I haven’t wrote anything like this before but I hope you enjoy it :)
Tumblr media
This past year had been a difficult one. It started out great - I was with a wonderful guy, I was doing well at Arsenal, and I had my best friends surrounding me.
Then it all went to shit.
In the space of a week I had caught my boyfriend in his bed with another girl and my childhood dog had passed away.
This was ten months ago and now there was another issue arising. My landlord had decided that now would be a great time to evict me. One night I had a few people round and apparently someone had complained about the noise. He said that he had past complaints about the noise from my flat which just wasn’t true but I really couldn’t be bothered to argue with him.
I had nine days to find a new place to live. Originally I had planned to just find another place to rent, however with the days going by and having no luck finding anything I was beginning to worry.
“Y/N! Pass the fucking ball!” Katie shouted, interrupting my thoughts. I snapped out of my day dream and quickly passed the ball to her.
“Sorry.” I replied.
She ran over to me and put her hands on her hips in a sort of ‘you better tell me what’s going on’ way.
With a sigh, my shoulders deflated as my mind went back to all the issues in my life. “I’m just stressing about this whole finding a place to live thing. You’d think in a big city like London there’d be at least somewhere that was available. But no…anything that is available is just ridiculously expensive and out of my budget. Like what am I meant to do? Live on the streets? If my stu-”
“You could stay with me?” A voice from behind me interrupted my rambling, and a smile took over my face as I saw it was Leah.
Leah and I had been close friends since I joined Arsenal three years ago, I mean we were literally inseparable from the first day of training. She was there for me through everything that had happened this year and I was there for her while she was going through her break up with Jordan.
Up until a couple of months ago everything was normal between us but then I started to get butterflies whenever she gave me a hug which then turned into feeling awkward whenever she’d hold my hand - everything that felt normal before now turned me into a complete mess. I had come to the realisation last month that I was in love with her…with Leah.
“Uhh…em. Do you have the room?” I stuttered, mentally kicking myself for acting so awkward around her.
“Yeah, Jordan moved out a couple of months ago so I’ve got a spare room.” She shrugged although I could still see that the mention of her ex-girlfriend’s name hurt her.
I scratched the back of my neck out of awkwardness before replying. “Only if you’re sure.” I said while scrunching my face up.
“Y/N we’ve been best friends for years, of course I’m sure.” She smiled. My heart sunk at the words ‘best friends’. That was all we would ever be and it hurt to think of that.
“Okay well if you insist.” I giggled.
———
“Is that all you’ve got?” Leah asked after I brought all the boxes with my stuff from my car and into my new house. There was a significantly smaller amount of things with me now than what Leah was used to seeing at my old place.
“Uh yeah, I donated some stuff. Decided to start over.” I laughed. Leah took a box and carried it into my new room, which was across the hall from hers.
“Well this is you. Feel free to decorate obviously…just don’t go knocking down any walls.” She deadpanned making me uncomfortable before she started to laugh at me. Leah was always like this.
With a roll of my eyes, I started to unpack the first of my boxes. As I turned to place my fake bonsai tree on the bedside table I noticed Leah staring at me with a small smile on her face, snapping out of it when she noticed I was looking at her.
“Takeaway pizza for dinner?” She asked.
“Yup. Plain cheese?” I replied. She nodded with a chuckle before turning to leave the room.
I spent the next hour or so unpacking everything and decorating the once plain room. It felt weird knowing that this room once belonged to her ex, I wasn’t entirely sure if they did sleep in the same bed while they were together, but I did know that this room was Jordan’s from the previous times I had come over. It just never once occurred to me that I would be living here with the girl that I had a fat crush on. How was I going to survive this? How would I manage if Leah ever brought home another girl or guy? I didn’t know how to feel.
“Y/N! Pizza’s here!” Leah called up to me from downstairs. I sighed to shake the doubts from my head before walking down to where Leah was waiting in the living room with one big box of pizza.
With a confused look on my face I opened the box, my confusion only growing as I confirmed that there was indeed only one pizza. “Where’s the other one?” I asked.
“Oh, I only ordered one. I thought we could share.” She shrugged as she sat on the couch and patted the cushion next to her, telling me to sit down.
My heart fluttered at the idea of sharing a pizza with her. “Cool. Sounds good.” I smiled, internally groaning at how weird I sounded. Leah returned a small smile before reaching over to take a slice.
Pull yourself together, it’s a pizza for Gods sake.
“You okay?” She asked with her hand covering her mouth to prevent the food from showing. I nodded before taking the seat that she had previously pointed at.
“Sorry, just in my own head.” I giggled as I grabbed a smaller slice than the one Leah had, letting out a small moan at the taste of it. Leah whipped her head to look at me with wide eyes as I blushed at the thought that I had actually done that out loud. “I’m so sorry, but holy shit where do you get this? This tastes better than most pizzas I’ve ate.” I exclaimed.
Leah laughed before shaking her head and wiping her hands with a napkin. “This chippy down the road. Discovered it when I was drunk and I’ve been loyal ever since. I can’t say I’ve ever moaned at the taste though.” She spoke, still laughing her head off. I rolled my eyes before taking another slice.
“Shut uppp.” I groaned. “It just slipped out.” I sighed, still feeling rather embarrassed about the whole situation. “Wait…you kept this delicacy from me this whole time?” I questioned, my mood now going from extreme embarrassment to confusion and slight betrayal.
“Guilty.” She put her hands up like she had been caught red handed before the both of us folded into each other in laughter. During our antics, Leah’s hand made its way onto the top of my thigh, making my breath hitch and my laughter halt. As her laughter stopped too, I looked up to see that she was already staring at me with a nervous look on her face and her eyes half closed, focusing on my lips.
“Leah?” I whispered. The tension in the room grew as the distance between us shrunk until I could feel her warm breath on my lips. My heart rate rapidly increasing as her eyes fully closed and her lips moved closer so that they were millimetres away from my own, my chest finally felt like it exploded as I finally felt the weight of Leah’s lips on mine.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and she wrapped hers around the back of my neck as her tongue licked my bottom lip, sighing as I opened my mouth wider and felt her consume me. We broke apart as the need for oxygen overcame us.
“Wow.”
“Yeah.”
I panted as Leah looked intensely into my eyes, making me feel more nervous than I had ever felt. “Are you alright?” I finally asked as she had been quiet for quite some time.
She leant forward so that her elbows were resting on her knees and her head was in her hands. Feeling immediately off, I reached forward with her and placed a comforting hand on the back of her shoulder.
In all honesty I thought it would’ve been me that was like this if we ever kissed.
“What was that?” She finally asked, leaning back into the couch and staring at me again. I felt my heart sink as she asked that. She sounded annoyed.
“A kiss.” I deadpanned.
“Obviously.” She rolled her eyes. I let out a breath as I mentally prepared myself for the possible rejection that could come from my next statement.
“I like you.” I replied, now looking anywhere but Leah as I didn’t want to see the current look on her face. “No…I love you. I have for awhile - well, a couple of months anyway.” I continued.
“Really?”
I frowned as I stared into the wall behind Leah. “Yeah. I’m sorry.” I said.
As I was getting up, a hand on my knee prevented me from moving anywhere. I took a deep breath as I looked at Leah, not seeing the disgusted face I though I would, in fact she had a huge grin on her face.
“I love you too.” She stated, making my world feel like it crumbled. She actually liked me back? I sat back down next to her and looked at her with wide eyes.
“Really?” I replied.
She laughed and leant in closer to me. “Of course I do, I thought I made it obvious but maybe not? Ever since that night when you held me while I was drunk crying, not complaining once about the snot that I had gotten on your favourite jumper. I love you, Y/N.”
“I think that’s the most romantic thing someone has ever said to me.” I smiled, noticing the crinkles on her nose as she smiled and the small freckles that dotted her nose.
“Shut up and kiss me.”

Collision

Team spirits were high despite the situation we were in at halftime. It was the game against Chelsea and it was 0-0. Both sides were on the offensive meaning that it was a tough game with lots of dirty tackles, and of course it was McCabe that got the first yellow out of everyone.
“Come on girls, we just need one.” Leah said. We were all sort of huddled up just before we were going back out on the pitch. It was a little weird, usually Kim would do the speeches at halftime but with her out with an injury, Leah was our captain and I was so proud of her.
We all dispersed to get ready to walk back out and before we did I took Leah’s hand to pull her back for a quick chat.
“You look good in the armband.” I winked, making sure to tease her. Leah shook her head and laughed at my words. She had the most amazing laugh, it was the sort of laugh that just made everyone else in the room smile.
“Thank you.” She smiled, with her hand still firmly planted in mine.
I let go of her hand and pulled her in for a hug. “I just wanted to wish you good luck.” I mumbled. I felt her hand start to run up and down my back before we separated.
“Good luck to you too.” She said before looking around and checking that no one was watching us before giving me a quick kiss. We moved to where the rest of the girls were so that we could walk back onto the pitch.
It was time to get a goal.
———
The ref blew her whistle and Chelsea started off with the ball. They were slow to advance up the pitch, with numerous passes back to Berger, their goalkeeper.
Bright passed back to her once more before Berger kicked it up the field into our half. The ball landed at Rafa’s feet and she passed it up to Leah who was playing midfield today.
Leah dribbled up the pitch before she quickly became surrounded by Chelsea players, meaning that she had to pass back to Jen. It felt like every time we had a chance to progress we would just get stopped and have to backtrack. They must’ve switched up their tactics during the break.
I found space and opened myself up for Jen to pass to me, which she did. Then in order to not get stuck again I immediately saw Viv and attempted a long pass to her, praying that no one was going to intercept it. Luckily no one did and it gave Viv the chance to push up until she was in the position where she could shoot.
“Come on Miedema.” I whispered to myself, willing her to get us a goal. I held my breath as I watched her boot the ball towards the right side of the net. Unfortunately one of the Chelsea defenders managed to deflect the ball with her thigh.
That would’ve hurt.
As unfortunate as it was, it gave us a corner which meant we still had a chance to get up by one. I ran up to join the group of players gathering around the net, but made sure to stand back a little to ensure that I wouldn’t be totally useless.
McCabe walked up to take the corner while I waited in anticipation for what would hopefully become a goal. As she ran forward to kick the ball one of the Chelsea players ran towards me, and as the ball was kicked I soon realised that it was coming my direction.
Shit. Stay calm.
As I jumped to try and header the ball I was stopped by a kick to my face and an immediate feeling of pain overtaking my senses.
Shit.
I fell to the ground as tears threatened to fall due to the sheer pain that my face was in. As I jumped the Chelsea player must’ve already been in the air and accidentally lifted her foot, resulting in her studs catching me in the face. It was definitely a sore one.
I laid there on my stomach as my teammates surrounded me.
“Y/N? Y/N? Are you okay?” I heard Jen ask as someone else called for the medics to be brought on. I didn’t reply and kept my head in the grass. I think I was in shock, I literally couldn’t move.
Another girl placed her hand on my shoulder. “Y/N/N? Can you turn over?” Leah asked. Leah. My body began to relax as I heard my girlfriends voice. A groan came out as I attempted to turn over, Leah used her hand on my shoulder to help me but stopped in her tracks as she saw the state I was in.
“Oh my- Y/N/N, just take deep breath’s.” She muttered, now in shock herself.
As I opened my eyes I saw lots of people crowded round me, some from the other team too. My eyes met Leah’s and it was like everyone around us was gone and it was just her and I. Just her stroking my shoulder and just I admiring her like always. However, this effect soon wore off as I became more aware of the current situation.
Multiple of the girls winced as they saw my face. It was covered in blood and I had a big gash on the side of my face that would definitely need stitches and leave a scar.
I did attempt to sit up, however as soon as my head started to lift off the ground a dizzy sensation took over me, making me lay back down and let out another groan.
“Leah?” I mumbled, having no idea if I was actually talking. I could hear the sound of my voice, but I couldn’t actually feel my mouth moving; it was a very weird sensation.
“I’m here baby. I’m right here.” She said, tears now clouding her own vision as she gripped my hand for dear life, too scared that if she let go that I would leave her.
“Is she okay?” The player that injured me asked. At least she felt guilty, it made the situation a lot better that no one was arguing or fighting with each other.
I sighed as I watched as Leah turned to talk to the player, knowing that she most likely would say something angry. I gave her hand a squeeze to remind her that I was okay. “Go away.” She snapped.
“Leah c’mon.” I said making her turn back to me.
The next thing I knew a group of staff came on with a stretcher to take me off, and they weren’t messing about either with always making sure that my head was completely still. You couldn’t mess about with head injuries, they could turn bad quickly so I understood why they were like this.
Leah walked off with me and fought multiple people to ensure that she was always holding my hand. As we reached the side of the pitch I watched as Leah spoke to Jonas before quickly running back over to me.
“Get back to the game Le.” I said and watched as she shook her head. “Leah. Go and get me a goal.” I continued. She shook her head again.
“No, I’m getting subbed off. I’m not letting you out of my sight until I know you’re okay.”
“Okay.” I smiled, Leah smiling back at me feeling happy that she had got her way.
———
The sound of chatter could be heard outside the hospital room I was in before the door flew open and some of the team walked in. Leah was sat in the bed next to me so stood up to greet everyone.
“How are you?” Jordan asked as Beth took the seat next to the bed with Viv leaning on the back of it. The rest of the girls were left standing in front of the bed.
“All good. A concussion and nine stitches but all good.” I laughed. Leah, however, was not finding it funny. She looked at me with her eye brows raised and her arms crossed.
“You could’ve been seriously injured Y/N/N. Don’t laugh.” She said. I gave her a small smile and shuffled across the bed so that she could lay next to me.
“I’m sorry Le. I’m just trying to lighten the mood.” I apologised. Leah put her arm around my waist and cuddled next to me. “You just scared me, that’s all.” She muttered, her tough persona vanishing.
“You know, if you didn’t look like Frankenstein right now I would take a cute photo of you both.”
“Beth!”

Oooo!! Could you write something where reader catches a bad cold and Leah goes into doctor mode and takes care of reader?
Sick day
Hello anon!
Thank you for the request! I hope you enjoy 😉
A warning that this does include the odd swear word.
Tumblr media
As soon as I woke up this morning I could tell that something wasn’t right. My nose was stuffier than normal, my throat hurt a little, and I could feel a slight headache forming behind my eyes.
I was sick.
A loud sigh escaped my mouth as the realisation that I had caught the usual winter sickness dawned on me. I felt the arms wrapped around my waist tighten as I attempted to move.
In my tired state I had forgotten that Leah was staying over at my flat for the next couple of days. We had decided to spend the odd night together before we completely committed to moving in with each other. This was purely my idea, Leah had suggested to just say fuck it and move in right away, but my own worries of it being too soon meant that I suggested to have a few trial runs before it really happened.
“Y/N/N? You good?” Leah mumbled in her sleepy voice. Clearly my moving around had caused her to wake. I turned so that I could see the time on my small clock on my bedside table.
9:34am
Not too early. “Yeah, you go back to sleep Le. I’m just going to hop in the shower.” I croaked out. Shit my throat was worse than I thought. I was really hoping that the shower was going to make me feel better, I wanted to spend the next few days doing things with Leah and if I was sick I knew that she wouldn’t let me do anything.
She removed her arms from my waist, allowing me to get up, before she shuffled up the bed to get a better look at me. “You don’t sound good, are you feeling alright?” She asked, her voice now sounding more awake and definitely healthier than my own.
“Thanks.” I scoffed. “But no, I’m fine.” I continued. She really couldn’t know I was sick, it would completely ruin our plans.
“I’m not convinced. Let me check your temperature.”
I internally groaned as she hopped out of bed and walked through to my bathroom. “Leah don’t, I’m fi-” A cough interrupted my shout, making my throat feel worse than it did originally.
Well if she didn’t think I was sick before she definitely did now.
I followed her to the bathroom and chuckled lightly at the sight of her digging through all of my drawers.
“Where’s your thermometer thing?” She asked. She sounded a lot more serious than she did earlier, meaning that I wouldn’t get peace until she was 100% sure that I was okay.
“I don’t own one.” I shrugged.
Leah slowly stood up and turned so that she was staring at me, and she didn’t look impressed. It kind of freaked me out a bit, she looked like one of those killers from the horror movies. “Y/N you’re an adult and you don’t own a thermometer.” She commented, sounding weirdly calm. This just added to the whole serial killer vibe I was getting.
“Sorry?” I replied with my voice going up in pitch. Just as she was about to continue a sneeze interrupted her.
“Bless you.”
And another.
“Jesus Y/N.”
And another.
“Right I don’t need a thermometer to tell whether your sick or not. Off to bed you go.” She said with a firm voice. She put her arm on my lower back and guided me back to my bed. If I had more energy I would’ve argued back, but as much as I hated to admit it I knew she was right.
Leah pulled back the covers and I fell into the comfort of my bed. She tucked me in lightly before giving me a kiss on the head and turning to leave the room. I reached out and grabbed her hand to stop her from walking off.
“Where you going?” I asked in a small voice, my brave facade now vanishing as the pounding in my head began to worsen. Leah turned around with a sympathetic smile on her face and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
“Just going to call my mum. I’ll be right back, I promise.” She said before walking out.
Five minutes later a smile took over my face as Leah walked back into the room. She walked over to the bed and slid into her side, immediately wrapping me up in her arms as I rested my head on her chest, the sound of her heartbeat calming me.
“Mum said to keep you hydrated and give you paracetamol, do you have any?” She whispered into my hair.
I thought for a moment before replying. “No I used the last of it the other week.” I sighed. Great.
“That’s okay Y/N/N, I can go out and get some.” She said as she began to move.
“No! Please stay.” I mumbled. Leah was all I needed right now.
She moved back to her previous position and pressed a kiss to the top my hair. “Okay.” She whispered.
———
As I awoke I began to move my arms around to find Leah. My heart sunk as all I felt was empty air.
She was gone.
I felt tears prick my eyes at the thought of being alone right now. After sitting with my thoughts for a bit I reached to my bedside table and grabbed my phone, wincing at the brightness of the screen. I turned the brightness down before clicking Leah’s contact.
“You okay Y/N/N? What’s wrong?” Leah hurriedly asked as soon as she picked up.
“Where are you?” I asked. The room felt empty without her here. I was definitely ready for her to move in permanently, maybe getting sick was the push I needed.
She let out a sigh. “You scared me, I thought something was wrong. I’ve nipped out to Tesco. I’m getting you paracetamol and…well you’ll find out when I get back.” She replied.
“Okay just hurry up, I miss you.”
“I’m sorry Y/N/N, I thought you’d still be asleep for when I got back.” She said. “I’m next to be served so I’ve got to go. I love you.”
My heart warmed at the ‘I love you’. Even though we had been saying it to each other for awhile now, it still always had the same affect on me. “Okay. I love you too.” I replied before hanging up.
While I waited on my girlfriend returning I got Netflix up on the TV and switched on a random movie. It only really served as background noise as I kept drifting in and out of sleep, but it done the trick.
Around fifteen minutes later the sound of the front door closing disturbed my sleep. Leah was back and I couldn’t be happier about it. I could hear her moving about in the kitchen, presumably putting everything away. I decided I couldn’t wait any longer so I carefully got out of my bed, struggling a little due to dizziness, and walked to the kitchen.
“What the fuck are you doing?” I asked with an eyebrow raised. I had walked in to see numerous vegetables and pots laying around the kitchen and a very stressed looking Leah examining her phone. My voice made her jump.
“I could ask you the same thing. You’re meant to be resting, get back to bed.” She replied, her voice sounding as firm as it did before.
“You didn’t answer my question.”
She put the knife she was using to cut up a carrot down and crossed her arms across her chest. “If I answer will you go back to bed?”
“Possibly…” I dragged out.
She rolled her eyes and looked around the kitchen with her arms raised. “My mum sent me this recipe for some soup I should make you.” She said, sounding very stressed.
“Right…okay. I’ll go back now.” She smiled at my answer and I turned to make the walk back to my room. I laid back in my bed and actually payed attention to the movie playing, hoping that it would make the time pass quicker.
———
“Baby wake up.”
I opened my eyes and saw Leah leaning over me with a bowl of soup sat on the bed. I groaned and sniffled as I moved up the bed to allow myself to eat better. She handed me the soup before leaving for a second and coming back with a glass of water and two paracetamol.
“Eat, drink, and take these.” She instructed. She laid everything out next to me before climbing in the bed.
“Yes Dr Williamson.” I teased, earning me a gentle shove. I took a sip of the soup and was pleasantly surprised at the taste. I half expected it to make me even more sick by how it looked when I saw it earlier.
“Well done. Tastes good.” I smiled.
We sat together while I finished off everything, and after Leah had taken everything away to tidy up, she came back to bed and pulled me back into her arms.
“Thank you for today Le.” I whispered as my eyes were half closed. This cold had really taken it out of me.
Leah gave me a squeeze and kissed me on the cheek before smiling. “No need to thank me, I was just doing my job as a good girlfriend. Plus…I like taking care of you.”
I looked up and made eye contact with her. “Why don’t we do this permanently?” I asked while getting lost in her beautiful blue eyes.
She scrunched her nose up in confusion making me giggle. “What you getting sick?”
“No silly, you staying here.”
Leah’s face dropped for a second, scaring the shit out of me, before a grin took over. “You want me to move in.”
“Yeah.” I nodded.
“I would love to.”

Side-story
You were never a morning person.
But today you got up early and drew open the curtain of your room before hopping back on your bed.
“Honey, you've got to get up now.”
Leigh whined and rolled over, turning her back at you.
You brushed your finger on Leigh’s bare arm, feeling the goosebumps elicited as you placed a kiss on her shoulder.
“10 more minutes,” Leigh mumbled.
“You said that half an hour ago.” You chuckled softly and got back under the comforter to press yourself to Leigh’s back, tangling your legs with hers.
Leigh pressed herself tighter against you as you found her hand and locked your fingers together. “Leigh…” you purred into her ear, brushing it lightly with your lips.
“I’ll get up once you brush your teeth.”
“I’ve already brushed mine. Your turn now.”
Leigh groaned but finally turned around to snuggle up to your chest.
You smiled and kissed her forehead, “good morning and merry Christmas sleeping beauty.”
“Merry Christmas,” her voice muffled, “why do we have to get up so early?”
“It’s eleven thirty now, it’s not that early. And this is my first time celebrating Christmas at your house so I don’t wanna be late.”
“No, it’s not. You had already celebrated your last Christmas at my house.” Leigh’s eyes glinted under the sunlight, her smile warming your heart as you thought of the last Christmas you celebrated together.
“Well…this is the first time I celebrate Christmas with Amy and Jules so I wanna be there earlier to help them out.”
“You don’t have to. My mum is going to handle everything well. Just let her do it. She loves to and she needs to.”
“I know,” you giggled, “I just wanna impress her.” You purred into her ears, “please?”
“She likes you more than me now Y/N.” Leigh rolled her eyes annoyingly and you laughed.
“No, she doesn’t. Now c’mon! We can sleep till noon tomorrow. I promise.” You decided to sit up against the headboard, pulling her arm to get her up.
Leigh growled but finally rolled herself out of the bed after placing a peck on your lips. She stretched herself before heading to the bathroom. You could not help your lingering view from falling on her waist revealed by her action.
You heard shower running when Leigh’s voice came from the bathroom, “do you wanna join me babe?”
“Ye-” you were already rolling out of your bed when something came to your mind, “no! We’re going to your house!”
“Are you sure? ‘Cause I can feel your eyes on me," Leigh poked her head around the bathroom door, flashing you a mischievous smirk.
You swallowed hard when you saw her bare chest. “No Leigh Shaw! Just-just shower!”
You heard Leigh giggled when you turned around and left her behind.
God…maybe you just needed another shower after Leigh was done.
A cold one.
//
You were sleeping against the window when you felt someone tapping gently on your shoulder. “Y/N, we’re home. Let’s get back inside.”
You struggled to open your eyes, a bit disoriented for a moment before turning your head to find Leigh gazing at you worriedly. “Are you feeling okay?”
Her brows were pinched together so you raised your hand to smoothen the crease between them. “Yes-I-yea…I’m fine. Oh sorry Leigh, I left you driving alone all the way back home.”
“Just don’t drink so much next time even if my mum makes you, okay?”
“Amy didn’t force me to drink! It’s just…this is the first time she has alcohol in her house for Christmas in two years. She’s too happy to have you and Jules with her…and the alcohol.”
“There’s definitely no alcohol in the house for the next Christmas.” Leigh rolled her eyes, still not very happy with the fact that Amy and you drank two bottles of red wine together. Just the two of you.
“I’m sorry. Don’t be mad,” you tried to blink a few times to look as apologetically as you could be and intertwined your fingers with hers, “please?”
Leigh rolled her eyes at you again. “I’m not mad…I-I’m just worried.”
“I’m not that drunk.” You flashed a reassuring grin to her, “and - I borrowed something from your house to decorate your car!”
“What?” Leigh stared at you in confusion, her brows frowning again.
You took something out from the pocket and draped it over the rear mirror. “I saw this on the Christmas tree in your house again. But emm…Amy and Jules were back there so I thought I should take it with me.”
You could tell Leigh was trying hard to keep a straight face, but apparently she was not doing a very good job at that.
“Well?” You raised your brows and looked at Leigh suggestively.
“Well what?”
“I think you’ve a family tradition to follow. I remembered you said something like ‘our family buys it’ last year.” You pointed to your lips and smirked.
“I’ve no idea what you’re talking about.” Leigh flushed and turned her back to you, slightly embarrassed by what you were referring to.
“Oh really? Let’s see if I can recall the memory for you. I remembered last year while I was…”
“Okay okay! Just stop!” You grinned when Leigh cut you off by covering your mouth with her palm.
You did not say anything but pulled her palm away from your mouth and pointed to your lips again.
You could feel the soft tickle of her breath beneath your nose, when Leigh inclined her face towards you and pressed a chaste peck on your lips. Her face glowed red when she pulled back the next second. “Satisfied?”
“No.”
“Y/N! Don’t-”
You grabbed Leigh by the collar to press your lips together. She gasped in shock the moment her chest pressed against yours, but she did more than just not stop you. She held your forearms and kissed you back immediately.
The warmth radiating from her body consumed you as she leaned into the kiss, Leigh’s lips impossibly soft against yours.
Leigh’s hand slid down your chest when you finally parted to grasp for oxygen. You looked into Leigh’s emerald eyes. They were sparkling even under the dim lighting of the light street when looking at you.
You must have saved the universe in your beforelife to have Leigh with you now.
“Merry Christmas Leigh.” You brushed your nose tenderly against Leigh’s.
“Merry Christmas Y/N,” Leigh smiled and pecked on your lips for one last time, “but don’t you dare to get on the bed without bathing. You stink.”
“Yes ma’am.”

3 years after dating Leigh
1:58 pm read
I just ate my lunch and had to get back to the conference now 🙄
Leigh smiled at the photo of food Y/N sent to her. She saw the three dots popping up on the screen so she did not type anything yet.
1:59 pm read
I miss you.
2:00 pm delivered
I miss you too babe.
Hang in there!
You’re coming home tomorrow!
2:02 pm read
I gotta go.
Love you!
2:03 pm delivered
I love you too ❤️
I’ve three classes in a row today. Don’t miss me too much.
//
“Bye! See you next week.”
Leigh could finally sit down on the chair and take a rest after waving goodbye to her last class. She grabbed her phone from the locker and took a glimpse at the notification.
She frowned when she realized there was nothing from Y/N. Usually she would manage to send something to her, even if it was just an emoji, during a long meeting. It had been 4 hours since Y/N’s last message.
6:09 pm delivered
How’s the conference today?
Leigh stared at the screen and clenched the bottom lip between her teeth absentmindedly when a voice startled her.
“Leigh!”
“Wh-what?” She turned around and saw Jules sizing her up in concern.
“I’ve been repeating the same thing three times. Are you listening?”
“What did-I’m sorry…what did you say? I was thinking about something.” Leigh glanced down at her phone while talking to Jules.
Still nothing.
“I asked you what you wanna eat for dinner. I’m ready to go now.” Jules grabbed her bag and headed to the exit together with Leigh.
“Any will do.”
“You’re not answering my question.”
Leigh hummed absentmindedly while typing something in the chat box again, “hmm sure…let’s have that.”
6:16 pm delivered
I’m going to grab some dinner with Jules.
The conference isn’t over yet?
Have you eaten anything?
//
“You’re distracted. What’s wrong?” Jules finally asked in the middle of the dinner, after Leigh had checked her phone more than twenty times since they sat down in the restaurant.
“It’s nothing.”
“Leigh, you literally have ‘something’s happening and I’m so annoyed’ written all over your face.” Jules rolled her eyes at her sister.
“It’s no big de-” Leigh tried to wave it off again but Jules gave her a skeptical look, so she eventually gave in, “it’s just…Y/N hasn’t texted me anything in like 5 hours.”
“I thought she’s at a conference?” Jules frowned, a bit unsure what was bugging Leigh.
“Yes but they usually have a break, and it’s not supposed to last till seven at night.” Leigh ran the fingers in her hair vexingly. There was something more than these reasons - Y/N knew her insecurities, that was why she would always send something to her whenever it was possible. To let Leigh know she was fine.
“Maybe she’s just busy talking with her colleagues. Today’s her last day there. Stop worrying about that. It’s five hours, not five days, you lovebirds.”
Leigh nodded at Jules. She knew Jules was probably right, but the idea of not hearing from Y/N still haunted her for the rest of the dinner. She just wanted to finish the food as fast as possible and rush back home to call Y/N.
//
Leigh was walking back and forth nervously in the living room. God knows how many times she had been calling Y/N since she got back home, but no one was answering the phone. Leigh looked over to the clock on the wall -
It was already nine thirty.
She called Drew an hour ago and he told her that the conference was supposed to end at four.
Leigh bit on her fingernails. She could literally feel her body go cold with dread now.
Something was off.
Y/N would never go missing for such a long time without letting her know in advance.
The call went straight to voicemail. Again. “Please call me back Y/N. I’ll be really mad if you’re messing around. Just text me anything even if you don’t feel like talking. Please.” Leigh did not realize until now that her voice was trembling with fear.
She did not think she could survive this if she lost Y/N. Lost someone she loved so much again.
Leigh slumped into the chair with tears running down her cheeks.
//
Your room was dark when you opened your eyes. Your head was still a bit dizzy, probably due to the anti-allergy pill you had once the conference was over. You reached for your phone lying on the nightstand instinctively.
The screen made you squint for a few seconds before looking at it again.
It’s three thirty. In the morning.
Your brain processed the information for a brief second before you sprang up from the bed. “Shit!”
You unlocked the phone and was shocked to find out Leigh had called you almost a hundred times and texted you dozens of messages.
“Fuck…”
You were about to call Leigh when you heard someone banging on the door gratingly. You frowned and walked towards the door in hesitation.
You decided to take a look at the door viewer first before opening the door given the time now. To say you were shocked to see Leigh standing on the other side of your door would be an understatement. “What the -”
You opened the door immediately, “Leigh? How-oh my god…what are yo-”
You were cut off by Leigh throwing herself into your arms. “Y/N Y/L/N where have you been?” Her voice was shaking and she held you so tight that it hurt, “I-I thought you’re dead.”
It broke your heart to see Leigh wailing in your arms. “I’m sorry…I’m so sorry Leigh.” You placed a light kiss on her hair while stroking it to comfort her.
“Miss Y/L/N, Miss Shaw insisted that she needed to check up on you. We couldn’t reach you but since Miss Shaw was persistent…” It was then you realized there was a hotel staff standing next to Leigh, looking apologetically at you. You nodded and he smiled at you before helping you to close the door and excused himself.
“It’s okay. I’m here.” You cooed and tried to pull back a little to look at Leigh’s face. However, Leigh just shook her head and wrapped her arms around your waist tighter than she ever had before.
“Where-where have you been?” Leigh’s voice muffled in your chest.
“I’m sorry…I took a pill after the conference and fell asleep when I got back. I thought I’d just nap for a while. I’m so sorry Leigh.”
Leigh was trying to catch her breath while you were stroking her hair. “I thought you’re dead.”
“Is that why you fly to San Francisco in the middle of the night?”
“This is not funny Y/N Y/L/N.” Leigh hit you hard on your shoulder. Not that you were complaining. You definitely deserved it.
“I’m sorry Leigh.” You cupped Leigh’s cheeks and you could finally look into her face for the first time tonight. She looked tired, with dark circles under her eyes and tear stains all over her cheeks. “I really am. Please forgive me.”
Leigh let out a heavy breath and leaned into your palm with her eyes fluttered closed.
“I promise I’ll let you know-”
“Marry me.”
The voice was weak, so weak that you thought you were having hallucinations. Or maybe this whole thing was just a dream.
You blinked your eyes a few times, still doubting what you had heard. “Did you say-wha-what…what did you say?” You felt your heart pounding fiercely in your chest.
“Marry me.” Leigh looked squarely into your eyes. “I’ve been thinking a lot on my way here, and when I was arguing with the staff downstairs. I wanna know if anything happens to you. I wanna be the first one to know and be there for you if anything does happen to you. I-I just can’t imagine my life without you.”
Leigh was rambling on and you could just stare at her with your jaw opened.
Leigh must have mistaken your silence as a sign of rejection. She took a step backwards from you and mumbled, “I thought we’re-I’m sorry…I shouldn’t have-”
You could see tears shimmering in her eyes.
“No! It’s not that…wait...” You rushed to find your bag on the table and clenched something in your hand before walking back to Leigh.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a while actually. But I’m not sure if you’re ready or not and I can’t find the right thing for you…until I was shopping around here a few days ago and I saw this.”
You opened the small velvet box in your hand and Leigh gasped in surprise.
“When I saw this in the store, I thought of you immediately. I know nothing is a match to the color of your eyes, but I think this is the closest I can find…and afford.” Both of you chuckled softly. You could see Leigh’s lashes fluttered to fight back the tears in her eyes.
“I’m planning to give it to you when I get back to LA. Of course I wanna do it in a romantic way or maybe I-I dunno…ask our family and friends to be around. But I guess the best laid plans…”
You took the ring out of the box.
“So Leigh Shaw, will you make me the happiest woman in the world and marry me?”
Leigh’s face was beaming with delight when she held her hand to you. “Yes, I do.”
You smiled and put the ring on her finger. “You can never run away from me anymore, Mrs Y/L/N.”
“You haven’t answered me yet.” Leigh clasped her arms around your neck.
“Yes, I do.”
The END
a/n: Yea well I won't tell you I'm the one who fell asleep for nine hours once I got back home and my girlfriend had to wait till three for my call.
