"I was just minding my own business when I was teleported to a foreign dimension in the middle of a circle of runes, and you're a demon explaining to me that you wanted to know if demons could summon humans too. You managed to summon me into your living room through some random experiments, and I think that's really cool and all but I need to study for an exam and- What do you mean you don't know how to send me hOME I HAVE AN EXAM THIS WEEK" AU

The Little Girl in the Woods
I
There's a little girl in the woods
she can't run,
she can't snooze.
She cries for her rabbit,
her ghost
and
her wound
and can't help but wonder,
if she could ever be loose.
II
The little girl is lost and confused...
she knows the woods,
the bad
and
the good
She knows the fairies,
the dwarfs,
and the ghouls
She knows the alleys,
the roads,
and the rooms
but,
The Beast in the bushes
is hunting for food...
III
I'm just a little girl in the woods,
not a tiger,
not a goose...
I can't find my family,
my cat,
or my moose...
I stopped to smell the flowers,
the wind,
and
the spruce
and I couldn't help but wonder…
If not a tiger,
nor a cat,
nor a spruce
Wouldn't this mean I'm nothing,
But
A helpless wuss?
IV
The Beast and the Child;
The Child and the Beast
Unable to hide
diluted heartbeats
The Child is raw-wild
The Beast wants a feast
Drinking some wine,
Melting some grease
The Beast fakes a smile,
The child feels the breeze
The Beast is the Child;
The Child is the Beast.
V
Care if they see me?
She barely asks...
They seem to be drowning in
lilies
and
rats
I wonder if it's due to
the meat
and the tarts
I got slightly distracted
while carrying the masks
and by the time I got there
I only found ash.
VI
The little girl is crying
but no one can see...
She wants to stop dying
and runs to the sea;
Her old tears start drying
while setting them free...
The creek Beast was lying
when pouring her tea.

No one is doomed to abuse people. There isn't an "abuser gene" or "evil chromosome". There aren't "cursed bloodlines".
There's a culture that frequently enables, romanticizes and eroticizes abuse, and individual human beings who choose to take advantage of that, or not.
Even someone who has abused others in the past has a decision about whether or not to continue that harm. Further abuse isn't inevitable, it's a choice.
The idea that abusers can't help it just further enables abuse culture. If someone is abusive, they are making a choice.
