Oh my gosh that's amazing!
Even better if the time travellers are his kids 😂
Time travelers have realized that Bruce Wayne will always, without exception, base his crimefighting persona on the first thing to crash into his window on a particular night. Now, they have an ongoing contest to see who can make him adopt the most ridiculous persona.

The Batcave is silent for a moment, even the humm of the generators dying.
Bruce can hear the faint patter of water dripping somewhere deeper in the caverns, the stuttering breaths of his sons echoing off of the cave walls.
The emergency lights flick on, a low, red color that reflects harshly against Tim’s wide, wide eyes as he spins away from the desk and swallows.
“It’s done,” he says in a small voice.

You ever get that itch to just go wild and try something new when you definitely should be writing? 😆 (Don't worry, Chapter 21 of Rewind is coming out tonight or tomorrow 😉)
I gotta say though, it's been a blast these past couple of days to experiment with animation! It is my FIRST ATTEMPT and I'm super psyched about how it's turning out so far. This is just a snippet of what I've got, but I just had to share! Will update as the animatic progresses 😉

Ooooo but a villain fight with this where they get the ring off
You are a superhero known for wearing a signature ring. While everyone believes it to be the source of your powers in reality it actually dampens them, allowing you to safely use your powers. Today you woke up and could not find your ring.

Rewind Ch 20: Baby Assassin Version :D
Hi friends! This is one of my drafts of Chapter 20 from when I thought it was going to be from Damian's POV
It is unfinished, and largely unedited, but I hope you have a fun time with this version :D
////////////////////////(*spoilers for Chapter 20*)/////////////////////////
Damian fights against the painful heat that threatens to flood his chest and cut off his already short breaths.
The world around him and his mother’s warrior is dark.  The top of the metallic vents almost scrapes at his hair.  His fingers twist where they’re clasped around the warrior’s neck.  (A… vulnerable position.  Mother has been teaching him words and where to strike.  Perhaps the warrior doesn’t know how he could be hurt.  Though he must, if he’s mother’s warrior.)
Damian’s legs wrap around the protector’s broad chest to further anchor himself.  Light shines ahead from a grate on the floor and Damian lifts himself off of Hood’s shoulders to peer down.
Grandfather’s men are black shivers of movement as they rush below the grate.  The alarm’s shrill ringing floods up through the opening.
Hood leans over it, bringing Damian closer to the light and the sound, and he closes his eyes, shrinking back against the man and squeezing his eyes shut for a moment.
(They will not find him.  Mother will not allow it.)
(Damian does not want to become like the thief–man Grandfather showed him.  The one whose breath stopped and whose eyes grew… distant.  Wrong.  The man never got back up.)
The grip around Damian’s legs tightens for a moment before the Hood takes a breath (shaky, stuttery, wrong) and continues through the vents.
Damian stiffens at the tension.
“Hey, you’re doing great, kid,” Hood says softly.  “You ok back there?”
Damian tightens his grip slightly.  The alarms now echo through the vents even when they are not by a grate.
The alarms have never gone off when he hid in the vents before.
“There is one more passage,” Damian says, speaking softly like Mother always instructs him to do when he is hiding.
Hood stops, turning his head to look back at Damian.  Reluctantly, he pulls his face away from the man’s back, fingers squeezing more tightly as he does so.
“And then the vents end,” Hood says, but it’s in the tone Mother uses when she is really asking a question.
Swallowing hard, Damian nods.  (Mother forbade him from leaving the vents when hiding and Grandfather never allowed him past the edges of the family side of the compound when he was not.  Damian knows where the door is, but has never gone through.)
Hood’s eyebrows pinch and Damian’s stomach drops.  The heat squeezes his chest more tightly.
“That’s ok,” the man says, blowing out a sharp breath.  “We’ll find the nearest exit and get the heck out of dodge.  Got me?”
Damian nods again, eyes on the man.
(The way out will be heavily guarded.  Damian knows this, because sometimes he watches the door when Mother is called away and when he dreams about The Bat.)
“Hey,” the man says again, hiking Damian higher on his back.  Damian jolts in surprise, hands regripping each other at the jostle.  His eyes meet the fervent green ones staring back at him.  He freezes.  “We’re going to make it out of this,” Hood says seriously.  “I’ll protect you.”
I’ll protect you.  It is what Mother always says, and she provided a warrior for him.  It is what Mother told him that Father would do for him, if he finds Damian worthy.  (Damian is unsure of what this means.)
Damian squeezes tighter around the warrior’s neck, giving a jerky nod before he ducks his head back down.
The man continues his progress and Damian continues to breathe.
(Damian has seen many other warriors fall like the thief–man.  To less of Grandfather’s warriors than guard the door.)
Damian’s foot brushes the hilt of Mother’s sword clipped to the stranger’s belt.
(Damian has his own dagger as well.)
The vents end, as Damian remembers, and the warrior shifts so that he can look down into the room below.  Rather than looking down into the bright lights, Damian focuses on the warrior’s form.  His body is coiling.  (Like Grandfather’s before he moves faster than Damian can watch.)
“Alright Damian,” the man murmurs, fingers moving to the hilt of his sword.  Damian leans back and looks down, so that he can follow the movement.  “Duck your head,” the man continues seriously.  “Stay quiet.  And whatever happens…” the man pauses, eyes tracking something below.  He shifts forward, taking a deep (shaky, wrong) breath.  “Do not let go.”
Damian’s eyes widen and he scrambles to look over the man’s shoulder.  Several of Grandfather’s finest stand below them in the light.  His throat dries up and he nods, clutching at the warrior’s neck and pressing his face against the hard material at his back (like Mother’s when she prepares for battle).
Damian squeezes his eyes shut as metal clangs and his stomach whooshes like it does when Mother’s soldier threw him into the air.  (Except this time, the suffocating heat mixes in with the fluttering whoosh and Damian’s body doesn’t like it one bit.)
Light and sound explode as the warrior’s feet thump against the ground and Damian holds on frantically, eyes squeezed tight enough that stars burst behind his eyes as whooshes and thumps, jolts and rushes of movement, screams and grunts and wet sounds and clangs assault him from every side.
The warrior’s body is constant movement, sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes twisting and Damian’s cape whips behind him.  Damian can feel sticky wetness running down his neck and notices it growing against Damian’s own forehead as well.
And then the warrior’s body jerks, movement aborting violently and there’s a clatter of metal across the ground.  Damian’s breath catches and his head shoots up as Hood stumbles backward.  Damian clocks his dagger lying a few feet away, behind one of the men with a flashing sword.
Hood is holding his arm strangely, bringing the other up with Mother’s sword as his shoulder hits the wall, so that Damian doesn’t take the impact.
Damian’s eyes are wide, flashing across a sea of red and men with eyes like the thief-man, and… Damian ducks a little lower, fingers shaking as he sees a man (near the door! they’re near the door!) pulling out one of the blocky black devices that Damian has heard Grandfather’s small voice coming out of sometimes.
Breaths short and fingers tingly, Damian winces backwards as another blow comes towards Hood.  (Can Hood truly succeed?)
Damian’s eyes flick back to the doorway.
(Al Ghuls are fierce and brave, Mother has told him.)
(Your Father is strong and fearless, the tale went.)
(Damian can be fierce and brave too.)
His grip releases and Damian’s feet hit the ground with a short stumble.  When he looks up, Hood’s expression is twisted and sweat runs down his face as he pushes back another opponent.  A cut in his armor leaks red down his arm.
Damian stumbles out of the way of the opponent’s feet and pulls out his dagger, swallowing hard.  He can see the door through a sea of feet, all turned towards Hood.
Fierce and brave and strong and fearless.
Damian takes off running, ignoring the ring of steel behind him and a shout of his name.  (Damian doesn’t look back, even as a chill runs up his back.  He hopes that the punishment for this isn’t too painful.)
He ducks hands and weaves between legs, Grandfather’s men stumbling and cursing behind him as Damian watches the door getting closer and–
Damian’s hands slam against the surface and he looks back quickly, heart hammering in his chest. When he sees Grandfather’s warriors still surrounding Hood, his heart hammers faster, and he looks up at the key slot.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Was part of the reason this didn't make it into the final chapter because I couldn't figure out how to get the four year old to be able to reach the key swipe on the door? Yes. Yes it was. lol this wasn't the only reason, but it was a funny moment to be like. Wait. How would this work... XD
In the end, Jason's chapter did feel right, but I hope you enjoyed this draft/excerpt :) Let me know your thoughts below!!
See y'all in Chapter 21 :)

Batfam in the Multiverse: Episode 1
Tumblr media
“Ok,” Dick said, shaking out his hands.  “Ok.  Alien planet.  We’ve done this before.”
“Not in another dimension we have not, Grayson,” Damian growled, folding his arms as he looked over the cliff.  “And certainly not with a battle raging to this scale.”
Both boy’s eyes were drawn to a figure flying through the battle, blue glowing… sword?... flying as they flipped and jumped.
“...though they seem to have tolerable weapons,” Damian said, nodding.
Dick watched as the figure threw out their hand and a wave of… uh… robots?... went flying.
“And telekinesis,” Dick added, eyes wide.  “Pretty cool.”
“Hm,” Damian said, turning back towards Dick.  “No sign of the others.”
Dick sighed, running a hand through his hair.  “Why does every rogue in Gotham seem to own a dimensional weapon?”
“Perhaps it is a trend,” Damian said, deadpan, and turned back to the battle.  “I wish to claim a sword.”
Dick raised an eyebrow.  “Claim a glowing sword?  Might not be the wisest move.”
A hunched form stepped out of a ship and towards the battle, and unsheathed four of the glowing weapons (how many arms did this guy have???), swinging them menacingly before falling into a ready-stance with what looked like a low laugh.
Damian raised an eyebrow.
Right.
Dick sighed deeply.  “Well.  I’m sure the maniacal cackling probably-villain won’t miss one of his arsenal of glowing swords.”
Damian gave a sharp grin and leapt toward the battle, Dick following close behind with a fond shake of his head.

13 unconventional prompts to get you out of writer’s block
So for some reason I felt like giving you some really unconventional and downright uncomfortable writing prompts, because I know that if anyone was going to do these types of things to themselves and find it fun and challenging - it would be writers. Please do keep me posted if you actually attempt any of these - especially the one with cutting out alphabet letters, I would LOVE to see a picture of that.
1) Go out for a walk and the first full sentence you hear someone say is the opening line to your new short story.
2) The last text you received? It’s got to be the last line of a poem you’re going to write.
3) Got Netflix? Let it choose a title for you to watch, then use that same title for a short story or a chapter. Otherwise, put your favorite playlist on shuffle and use the title of the third song on the list.
4) Let your best friend choose a genre, a word, and a colour that you have to use in writing a short story.
5) The first sound you hear after reading this is the first sound the protagonist of your new story hears in the opening line. How screwed are they?
6) Spell your name backwards and create a character profile based on the new name you get. (If your name is Ana or Bob, do the trick with your middle or last name)
7) Time how long it takes you to walk to your nearest grocery shop and back to your house. That’s how much time you get to write your next short story, or your new chapter.
8) Come up with a list of 20 fantasy names by looking at the objects currently around you and twisting them into plausible names.
9) Add up the numbers of your birth date, and multiply the result by 10. That’s your word limit for a story featuring a banana peel.
10) The last three digits of your phone number are the exact word count you need to get for your new story about an unfortunate werewolf. (if the first number of the three is a 0, replace it with the second number of your current age - if you’re 24, you’d use the 4, and if you’re unfortunate enough to also be 20, 30, 40, etc. then just use the first number)
11) Got a favorite pet or animal? Make them have a cameo in the current chapter of your book. However improbable.
12) Print and cut out each letter of the alphabet 6 times and then try to make a comprehensive yet intriguing sentence from it.
13) Got someone a previous tenant’s mail? Write a “where are they now” story based only on their name and what you can make out from the envelope.
On a serious note though… Do you need a little help getting unstuck?
