I can't believe they thought Taylor's threats to re-record her work were empty. That they thought she'd just sort of give up and take it lying down. The thing with Taylor releasing the re-recordings, is that everyone is going to be comparing it with the originals to catch her out and say "oh its so different from them". And I think that's a good thing now because never before has anyone paid this much attention to every chord she plays, every note she makes and every breath she takes. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the grace with which Taylor has handled the re-recordings? Two years ago everyone made it that Taylor was a greedy person and that she was doing it for the money. And then they got mad that she could potentially re-submit her songs and win more awards. But now she's just?? having SO much fun with it. She's really stayed true to the originals but also listened to the fans while giving her music a new life.
