a/n: Hello I am back from the dead. I apologize for how long this took me to write. I lost inspiration and had no mentally energy. Anyways, here it is enjoy:] -jm
Summary: You despise your boss even though everyone at work thinks you’re secretly dating. Surprisingly you find the courage to confront him on how bad he is at his job, but his response surprises you even more.

act i. || act ii. || act iii. || act iv. || act v.
Following the days you and Jin got together, everything was the same as when you two were just “friends”. Now, the only difference was the two of you had a label, and were more touchy with each other.
It was a typical morning at your apartment, Jin slept over and was making you breakfast.
When you woke up, you reached over to feel for him. You knew that he would be up already, and you went into the kitchen where you saw his back towards you. You went up to him, and hugged him from behind.
“Good morning,” you softly said.
“Good morning baby,” he said while frying your meal. “How was your sleep?” He asked.
“It was good, I wanted to cuddle a bit more when I woke up though.” You pouted while he chuckled.
“We can stay in bed as much as you want after we eat breakfast, we have the whole day to ourselves.” He said.
“Really? You have no surprise meetings today?” You asked, keeping your arms around him. He turns around and holds you in his arms.
“No not this time,” he said, kissing your forehead.
–––
You two established that you would keep your relationship hidden because of the power dynamic at work. However, you told Jungkook the first chance you got.
“I knew that you guys would get together!” Jungkook exclaimed.
You shush him, “Not too loud, please keep it a secret.” You pleaded.
“Sure thing but I don’t understand why, it’s not like anyone would be against it,” Jungkook shrugged.
“It’s just easier this way,” he nods for you to continue. “It’s just a way to keep HR out of our asses.”
“So have you guys like… fucked yet?” Jungkook asks, and you turn red.
“Oh my god!” You slap his shoulder. “No! We’ve been together for only a few days.” You blushed looking away.
Jungkook chuckles, “I’m just curious, it has been a while since the world wide gentleman has been rumoured to be with anyone. The man probably has needs, you should probably watch out for.” He shrugged.
“Rest assured, he’s not like that.” You reassured Jungkook.
“I don’t know,” he shrugs. “He’s still a man. I mean I bet if you initiated something he wouldn’t mind it.” You roll your eyes. Your phone began to ring, so you excused yourself.
“_____,” Your mom said with a sense of worry in her voice.
“Mom, is everything okay?” You asked.
“It’s your grandma, she just collapsed and we don’t know if she’ll make it.” Your mom’s voice is shakey. “You need to come home as soon as possible.”
“Okay I’ll try and talk to my boss and get time off. I’ll head there as soon as I get my things ready.” You told her.
After the call, you head into Jin’s office after knocking, and you close the door quietly after you enter. Jin notices your panic state.
“What’s wrong?” He asks, stopping whatever he was doing and motions for you to come to him. You follow, and he pulls you down to his lap.
“I’ll need time off,” you state. “My grandma is in the hospital and they don’t know if she’ll make it. So I need to head back home for a couple of days.” You requested, Jin’s look softens and nods.
“Sure,” Jin replies and a weight is taken off your shoulders. “But I will accompany you.” He adds.
“What why?” You asked.
“Do you have a secret boyfriend at home?” Jin jokes trying to lighten the mood. “I’ll go with you so you don’t have to take the train, and it gives me the opportunity to meet your parents.” He offers, and you begin to think about it.
“I guess that would be a good idea, it’d kill two birds with one stone.” You agreed. “Don’t expect much, we’re not rich. Also, it would be a good idea to pack some casual clothes. My dad might think you’re a weirdo.” You suggest while Jin smiles.
“I don’t think I dress that weird,” he ponders about his outfit. “Alright, how’s your day going?” He asked, putting your hair behind your ear.
“It’s been okay, I’m ready to go home though.” You admit. Jin holds you closer and rests his head on your shoulder.
“Soon,” he coos. “Do you want to do anything after work?” He asks, and you shake your head.
“Maybe just pack then hangout at your place?” You suggest.
“That sounds good to me,” he smiles and kisses your cheek.
When you leave Jin’s office, you text your mom about bringing Jin home and she responds that she’s excited.
–––
You two decided to hangout at Jin’s place because it won’t take you that long to get ready, and you were worried what he’d pack without your help.
“Show me what you’re packing,” you demand in Jin’s bed while he rummages through his gigantic closet.
“Woah _____, a little forward don’t you think?” You roll your eyes, “don’t worry, I know what to wear to blend in with you commoners.”
“I hate you for saying that,” you peek into Jin’s closet. “Yeah no, if you bring these, my dad will kick you out.” Jin sighs, and rests his head into his hands.
“These are probably my most commoner clothes here. ________, where does one buy said clothes?”
“Literally anywhere you don’t shop.” You look through his closet, and choose some clothes for him. “If anything, we can buy clothes out there.” Jin looks at you with relief.
“What would I do without you?” He rests his forehead on your shoulder. You smile but your eyes roam to a bright pink and white checkered shirt, and move it away from Jin’s sight.
–––
As Jin drives you to your apartment, you hope that he can manage to make a good impression on your parents. You’ve never brought anyone home, and are worried there may be a lot of pressure on him.
“I hope you meeting my parents isn’t stressing you out,” you opened up. Jin looks at you, and smiles.
“_____, I’ve met the president. I know what I am doing.” He confidently says.
“I know but this is different, this is about my parents. Business and family are different, they don't care about money.”
His aura changes, “Don’t worry ____, we’ll be fine.” Jin stops the car in front of your apartment, “By the way, I’ll need to run some errands. So, just call me when you’re ready.” You nod and kiss him before exiting his car.
–––
The car ride to your hometown was the least of your worries, you ended up falling asleep in the passenger seat but Jin didn’t mind. You were woken up by Jin when you were close to your family’s home.
You knocked on the door of your parents’ house while Jin stands behind you holding your bags in one hand and the fruit basket in the other hand
“______!” Your mother and father happily greet you but your father glanced over to the man standing behind you.
“Who’s this?” He asks.
“Mom and dad, this is my boyfriend, Jin.”
Jin deep bows to your parents, “Hello, I’m Kim Seokjin.” He introduces himself and presents the fruit basket he prepared before coming. Before Jin could say anything else, your dad spoke up.
“What makes you think you’re good enough for my daughter?” He scoffs.
“Dad!” You exclaimed. You were surprised at your father’s sudden outburst. You felt a slight relief when you glanced over to Jin’s calm and collected face.
“Honey! I know _____ is our only child but please, Jin is our guest.”
“Yeah whatever, to think our ______ brought this city boy into our house.” Your dad brushes everyone off. “I’ll be in the field if you need me.”
Your mom turned towards you and Jin, “Don’t mind him, he’s just grumpy that our sweet _____ is growing up.”
“Mom,” you whine while your mom and Jin laugh.
“Anyways, honey, why don’t you and Jin get settled in your old room while I start cooking food to bring to your grandma.”
Jin follows you while he carries both of your bags into your childhood bedroom. He sets them down and looks around.
“I’m sorry about my dad, I didn’t expect him to react like that.”
“It’s really no problem, it’s understandable, you are his only daughter.” Jin gives you a reassuring smile. He then turns his attention to all of your framed pictures in your room. “Aw little _____, I wonder when we have kids if they’ll look like this.” He cooed, your cheeks warm up. He then looks at your twin size bed.
“How are we supposed to fit in that?” He asks.
“We’ll be fine,” you assured him. “We’ve slept on the couch.” You reminded him.
“Is there air-conditioning?” Jin asks, airing out his shirt.
You laugh nervously, “No but I have an electric fan in my closet!” You pull out the standing fan and plug it in. “See? All better.” While your closet is open, you bring out your house clothes and begin to change.
When Jin notices you undress, “_____! What are you doing?” He covers his eyes.
“I’m changing into clothes, you should change too.” You toss Jin some more comfortable clothes in his suitcase.
–––
“______! Jin! I finished cooking, come eat a bit.” Your mother called. You and Jin head to the kitchen together just to see your mom sitting down.
“Where’s dad?” You asked, slightly annoyed that your dad is making a scene.
“He’s still cooling off his head, don’t worry about him. He’ll come to his senses soon.” Your mother brushes it off. You and Jin take a seat where there is a placemat for you.
“So, Mrs. _______, what was ____ like as a kid?” Jin asks, receiving a giggle out of your mother.
“Ah, she was really independent. She didn’t really need me or Mr. _____’s guidance, if she had an issue, she would deal with it on her own.” Your mother reminisces, “When she was little, she was shy outside the house. Inside the house, she was like a firecracker. She definitely kept me and Mr. _______ active.” Your mother laughs, and Jin smiles.
After your meal, you offered to wash the dishes. Huge mistake as your mother begins to pull out the old photo albums and explain the stories behind them. You rolled your eyes when you heard Jin’s phone click to take a picture, but you smiled at the two of them bonding. You were hoping that your father would open up soon. You join the two on the couch after the dishes.
A few stories and pictures later, your mother glances at the clock.
“Well look at the time, we should go visit your grandma.” Your mother said, and both you and Jin got up.
–––
When you arrive at the hospital, the nurse asks for everyone’s relation to your grandma. For some reason they wouldn’t allow Jin inside, you wanted to argue but Jin tells you he can wait.
“Jin, maybe it’s best if you wait for us at the house while it’s bright outside. The visit will probably take long. I hope you don’t mind.” Your mother said. Jin smiles and nods.
“It’s no problem, just call if you need anything.” He said, kissing your forehead before walking outside the hospital.
As Jin walks back to your family home, he spots your father still in the fields. He decides to join him.
“Hello Mr.______, may I join you?” He asks your father, while his father continues harvesting from his crops. Jin takes this as ‘yes’ and begins harvesting with him. Once Jin starts harvesting the third crop, your father speaks up.
“You’re doing it wrong.” Your father says. He shows Jin how to do it, and Jin smiles.
“Thanks.” Jin feels this is the start of building a relationship with your father. The two of them continue to harvest side by side until the sun sets.
“Jin? Dad?” You call out when you enter the house but receive no response. Your mother puts her bag down on the kitchen table. Something catches her eye, she goes towards the window facing the fields.
“Found them.” She said, you go to her side and see the sight of your father and Jin in the field. “I told you he’d come to his senses.”
“Yeah.” You smile.
–––
“How was working in the fields with my dad?” You asked Jin. He’s freshly out of the shower when he opened the door to your room. He sighs and flops down beside you, and you take him into your arms.
“Honestly, I’m tired but as long as I am in good relations with your father, I’ll endure it.” He said, and you smiled. You brush your fingers through his hair.
“I really appreciate you doing this, I hope my dad will stop being a hard-ass soon.”
“Again, you are his only daughter. He shouldn’t just give you to anyone.” He murmurs into your chest, you giggle. He continues to mumble, “I think I’d be like your dad with our first daughter.” You blush thinking about having kids with Jin. You continue to brush your fingers through Jin's hair while daydreaming about being married to Jin.
“How many kids are you expecting?” You raise an eyebrow. Suddenly, you hear soft snores coming from him. You softly smile, and kiss his forehead.
The next morning, you wake up alone. You sheepishly open your eyes, you search the room for Jin to be nowhere in sight. You stretch, and get up. You leave your room and see your mom watching her variety shows.
“Good morning,” your mother greets you.
“Good morning, where’s Jin?” You ask, still half awake.
“Oh, he got up early to help your father. I think they’re doing some deliveries to the market right now. They’d be back around lunch time.” Your mother said, returning her focus back to the television. You were happy that Jin is putting effort to know your dad but you were worried that he was overexerting himself.
While the men were out and about, you sat with your mom watching her shows with her.
“So, what do you think of Jin?” You asked.
“I like him, I can clearly see that he cares for you. Not any man will offer to help in the fields, especially someone from Jin’s social class. Now, my only concern is his parents. You are a beautiful, smart young woman, but to them, you are a commoner.” Your mom admits, and you agree. You put your fear of Jin’s parents aside for now.
Meanwhile, Jin didn’t expect the labor your dad was going to put him through today. Jin woke up bright and early to get ready to help.
After your dad and Jin had lunch, they were back in the fields. Jin was hoping that your dad would make conversation with him.
It was probably an hour or two of awkward silence before your dad suddenly spoke up.
“Please don’t hurt her. She may appear as a strong girl but her heart is fragile.” He said, avoiding eye contact.
“Sir, I would do anything to make her happy.” Jin confesses.
“Your folks, do they know?”
“No sir, not yet. I plan on telling them soon.”
“She doesn’t come from a fancy family, what are you going to do if they don’t accept her?” Your father looks Jin in the eye.
“I’m willing to do anything to be with her. I’d even step down from my position if that meant I could be with her.” Jin admits, and returns the eye contact.
“What about the tabloids?” Your father asks.
“I can’t promise that they won’t make up stories but I will come for them if they speak ill about her.”
“— Do you love her?” Your dad chokes out.
“More than anything.”
–––
You helped your mom cook dinner, you did most of the cutting while she stayed at the stove. When you two finished, your mom tells you to call your dad and Jin inside.
You walk towards the field, “Dad! Jin! It’s time for dinner!” You yell, seeing their figures in the distance. When you heard a ‘coming’, you went back inside.
Both your father and Jin were sweaty when they came in, Jin took a seat beside you. Your father walks to the fridge, and offers Jin a beer.
It takes you and Jin by surprise, but he accepts. Your mother gives you a smile when your father is faced away from you.
During dinner, it definitely felt more lively with your father making more conversation. You were happy that Jin managed to build a relationship with your parents. Jin helped with the dishes while you got settled for bed.
–––
Jin joins you in bed shortly after his long shower.
“I still can’t get used to the cold water.” Jin admits which makes you giggle. You two were now in bed, the small television in your room had a random show on. You only put the small tv in your room after you gifted your parents a larger tv to upgrade the living room’s. You were facing away from Jin while he had an arm around you. He pulls you closer to him, and he nuzzles his head into your neck.
“I’m so glad, you’re getting along with dad now.” You joyfully smiled.
“Me too but it’s hard, working in the fields all day. I don’t know how you guys managed.” Jin complains while you giggle.
“Thank you for doing this though,” You said. You were thankful that Jin continued to try and convince your dad to accept him.
“Of course, I’d do anything for you,” Jin kisses your cheek.
–––
News headlines began appearing when you and Jin arrived in Seoul, most of them were about how many hearts are broken that Jin “may” have a new woman in his life. Others were from low gossipy tabloids on women coming out saying that they were his mistress for cheap exposure.
Jin asked you to stay at his apartment until the news died down. He paced around his apartment for a few moments while television spilled meaningless gossip about his life. Suddenly, his phone rings.
Jin sighs, “I’ll deal with this, it's my parents.” He steps away to answer the call.

When you emailed Kyuhyun, you got an automatic email that he would reply within a few days. You knocked on Jin’s door to see if he knew anything.
“It’s ______, can I come in?” You asked, and Jin gave you the approval. You looked at him who was typing away and scribbling down at the same time. “Is it a bad time?” You asked. Jin stops typing, and looks at you.
“I’m sorry, it’s just been busy since Kyuhyun visited,” Jin said. “Anyways, what’s up?” He asked, leaning back in his chair.
“Oh I was going to ask about Kyuhyun, I received a bouquet of flowers from him. He offered an opportunity abroad, and I was wondering if you knew anything about that?” After you said this, Jin’s expression changed to worry.
“I did but I didn’t expect the bastard to actually do that,” Jin sighs.
“Wait what? Can you elaborate?” You asked, furrowing your eyebrows.
“Supposedly Mr. Cho, his father took an interest in you. He said that you’d be a good bride for Kyuhyun, and they found out enough information to make Kyuhyun interested.” Jin shrugs. “I mean the offer would be financially better than here, but I could probably make arrangements to offer you something better to make you stay.” He said, muttering the last part. Your heart skips a little. Does that mean he wants you to stay because he’d miss you?
Kyuhyun knocked on Jin’s door, “Hey there Mr. World Wide Handsome.” Kyuhyun smiles at Jin.
“Why are you here?” Jin rolls his eyes.
“Father has informed me of a cutie that works in the office.” Kyuhyun teases while smiling.
“I thought you knew I worked here already.” Jin replies.
Kyuhyun coughs, “Ms. ______ is the one I want.”
“I’m not willing to give you her,” Jin threatens.
“Woah calm down Jin, why don’t you let her make that decision? I mean I asked Yujun for you, and she clearly made her decision on her own.” Kyuhyun smirks.
“As if she’ll be dumb enough to go with someone like you,” Jin scoffs.
“Well is she yours?” Jin just looks at Kyuhyun, “Not like it matters. Anyways, I already left my information for her. Father and I do think she’ll make a wonderful bride, and wonderful mother to the future Cho children. I just wanted to let you know personally,” Kyuhyun smirks as he is heading out the door. “See around Mr. Kim.” While Jin rolls his eyes and begins thinking.
“I haven’t even met the guy, and he wants to marry me?” You asked, confused.
“The man is 34, and Mr. Cho isn’t getting any younger. Mr. Cho is just making sure Kyuhyun continues the bloodline. That's most elite families for you.” Jin said. “Someone with your looks and education background could be something good for the Cho family,” he stated honestly. Your cheeks began to feel warm.
Obviously Jin didn’t want you to meet with Kyuhyun but it would be a good opportunity for you. At the same time, he felt guilty for feeling this way. He didn’t want Kyuhyun to lay a finger on you but he didn’t want to stop you careerwise. You were still young, you still had your whole life ahead of you but a part of him wanted to keep you close.
“I would advise to meet with him a couple of times before your decision. I will not say anything to influence your decision.” Jin declared. “I want you to make the decision. I told you ______, your feelings and opinions matter to me.” He said, and you nod. You were then dismissed from Jin’s office, and your heart sank. You began overthinking if Jin wanted you to stay.
Your thoughts come back to the present when you received a time and place from Kyuhyun to meet. He said he’d pick you up but Jin ended up arranging for one of his friends to pick you up since he couldn’t due to work and didn’t trust Kyuhyun to bring you home safely. You refused but the arrangements were already made.
When you arrived at your apartment, you saw a dress on your bed. There’s a note from Mrs. Chung that said that a man had something for you, and didn’t know where to leave it. So, she took it and put it in your apartment for you.
Once you got changed, you received a text message from Jin saying that his friend was outside of your apartment. You went down, and met eyes with the man.
“So this is the girl,” The man mutters to himself. “Hello Ms. _______, I am Jin’s long time friend, Park Jimin.” He introduced himself, smiling at you.
“Hello,” You bowed. “I’m assuming you’re also from an elite family?” You tease.
“Yup, our friend group consists of just that. I am heartbroken that Jin does not talk about us often.” Jimin pouts. “He always finds a way to bring you up in any conversation.”
You start to turn red, “He talks about me?”
“Yeah like all the time, don't worry, all good things of course.” Jimin reassures truthfully and hopes it helps give you and Jin a push towards the same direction.
“You two seem close, how long have you known Jin?” You asked, curious about Jin when he was younger.
“Ah, since high school, we ended up in the friend group and just somehow became the closest,” Jimin explains while leading you to his car. “I’m surprised he’s even letting you go see Kyuhyun.” Jimin states as he opens his car door for you.
“Wait, why's that?” You asked.
”Oh? You don’t know?” Jimin raises an eyebrow. “Kyuhyun and Jin were really good friends, even better than Jin and I. At one point, Kyuhyun started resenting Jin because Jin was achieving a lot more compared to him. I guess Kyuhyun’s dad put a lot more pressure to do better than him since Kyuhyun is older but Kyuhyun just couldn’t live up to those expectations.” Jimin explains while you two begin to drive. “Anyways, Jin had a girlfriend throughout university but during Jin’s graduation party, he caught the girl and Kyuhyun in bed together. Since then, Jin held a grudge against Kyuhyun.”
“—Wait but isn’t Mr. Cho one of the biggest investors for Nexon? Why is he investing if his son has drama with Jin?” You asked.
“You see, Jin’s dad and Kyuhyun’s dad know this but business will stay business.” Jimin shrugs, “Also, Jin has always been more successful, and I’m only guessing they’re going after you because he knows Jin cares about you. I guess history may be repeating itself.” Jimin sighs. You two reach the destination, and Jimin speaks up again. “Anyways, just call Jin when you are going home. If he’s not available then I’ll probably be the one who comes and gets you.”
“Thank you for the ride,” You said smiling at Jimin.
“_____,” Jimin calls out.
“Yeah?” You respond looking at him.
“Think about your decision before you decide, and please don’t hurt my best friend.” Jimin says with almost a pleading look in his eyes. You just nod in response and he gives you a soft smile as you head inside.
—————
As you were walking to the door of the restaurant, your mind was racing. So Jin does care about you but just hasn’t said anything?
When you get to the door, you’re greeted by a man. “Hello ______, I’m Kyuhyun.” He introduces himself. “Wow you’re gorgeous,” Kyuhyun greets you with a kiss on your hand. You feel uncomfortable, but you give him a smile.
“This dress is beautiful, thank you.” You say.
“Of course, a beautiful dress for a beautiful lady.” He smiles at you. “Let’s go take a seat, shall we?” You nod, and he leads you to the table.
When you two are seated, Kyuhyun gives you a smile but you can’t feel hesitant because of everything you heard so far.
He looks through the menu and glances at you. “Feel free to order anything you’d like.” He says.
“Thank you for all of this so far.” You tell Kyuhyun.
“It’s no problem at all, I personally think that someone like you ______, deserves the best.” He gives you a smile.
When you two receive your food, Kyuhyun’s attention returns back to you. “Okay so down to business. I’d like you to come work for me instead.” He said in all seriousness. “I’m willing to offer you one of the executive positions, and double your current wage. Your living expenses would also be covered. The only thing is it’ll be in the US.”
“I don’t think I can move across the world for the job. Also, I don’t think I am qualified for any of that.” You shyly said.
“Please take your time to decide. I think you are fully capable, and your business degree agrees.” Kyuhyun encourages. “Perhaps there is something or someone stopping you?” He looks in your eyes.
“No there isn’t but I just don’t think I could move across the world.” You confess.
”Ah I see, so you aren’t hesitating because of Mr. Kim?” Kyuhyun analyzes your face for any reaction. “If that’s the case, if I were to tell you about the real Jin, maybe you’d reconsider.”
“I know the real Jin, do not speak ill of him.” You defended.
“You only know the Jin now, you don’t know the past Jin.” Kyuhyun states, “You’ve probably heard what I’ve done to Jin was wrong but he’s not someone you can rely on forever. Ever since he caught me with Yujun, he can’t stay in a stable relationship. I guess he never got over her.” He shrugs.
“That’s a lie, it’s been years since they broke up.” You bluff.
“It’s been years but he’s still trying to fill that void, you know what they say about men with their first love. Jin just so happens to be one of those men.” Kyuhyun shrugs.
“You’re lying.” Your voice begins to shake, and your eyes begin to water but you keep it in.
“Ask him yourself, and I bet you he’ll tell you the same thing.” Kyuhyun, not backing down.
“I think we’re done here,” You said, standing up and putting down your napkin.
As you walk away, you hear Kyuhyun call your name. So, you look back to hear what he has to say. “When he proves me right, you know where to find me.” Kyuhyun smirks as you walk away. You call Jimin to pick you up.
———
After Jimin drives you home, he ends up coming back later with a drunken Jin.
“Hey _____, sorry for the late notice but can Jin crash here? He ended up drinking himself to death, and I just can’t take care of him tonight. I have an audition early in the morning.” Jimin requested.
“Yeah it’s no problem.” You tell him.
Jimin’s face lights up, “Thank you, I know the bastard will be in safe hands.” Jimin thanks you again as he hands Jin to you.
“You know you’re really pretty.” Jin slurs.
“You reek of alcohol, let’s get you ready for bed.” You smile, helping Jin onto the couch. You rest his head on one of your pillows, and put a spare blanket over him. You sat with him for a bit, he pushes your hair behind your ear while trying to keep his eyes open. “Jin?” You asked.
“Hm?” He responds while his eyes close.
“If you were to see Yujun again, do you think you would go after her?” You reluctantly asked with your heart racing anticipating his answer.
“Yeah,” He barely makes out before passing out. You heard Jin’s phone go off. You were curious since he was asleep. It was a text from Yujun, it read: “Thank you for tonight Seokjin:)”
Your heart sinks, and that’s when you realized you actually had feelings for Jin. Sure it wasn’t a clear answer but you couldn’t imagine him with anybody but yourself. You weren’t sure if you should take this as a subtle rejection. Tears start forming in your eyes, and you stand up.
“Goodnight Jin.” You barely make out, and leave him asleep on your couch.
When you flop down onto your bed, you cry into your pillow so Jin can't hear your muffled cries. Stupid Jin, were you just someone that could fill the void of Yujun? Was that why he was so kind to you?
You could barely sleep, tossing and turning. When you managed to fall asleep, you were woken up not too later by the sound of the door closing. You assumed Jin left without wanting to wake you. You got up and slowly dragged your feet to the living room. Where you saw the blanket folded and pillow nicely placed on the couch. There was a note from Jin:
“Thank you _____ for your hospitality again, it is really appreciated:]” with his signature at the bottom of the paper.
You sat down on the couch watching the rain fall, and began thinking about what to do next. You knew you could only confide in one person, and you gave them a call.
———
“Are you an idiot both sober and drunk?” Jimin storms into Jin’s office.
Jin is confused, “What the hell are you talking about?”
“_____, how can you tell her that you would go after Yujun?” Jimin yells.
“What? I still have no idea what you’re talking about.” Jin yelled back.. “I don’t even remember talking to ______. I just remember being asked if I would go after _____, and so I said yeah.”
“How about the text message from Yujun?” Jimin interrogates.
Jin sighs, “She thanked me that night for closure. All she did was to apologize for what she did. I only got shitfaced after she left, I’ve just been so stressed about the work Mr. Cho is sending me.” Jin confessed.
“You’re an idiot, you didn’t even bother staying until _____ woke up? You tell me you always cook her breakfast, what’s so different now?” Jimin asks, and Jin is taken back. Jin hesitates, and Jimin speaks up again. “If you don’t have feelings for the girl then tell her! Don’t do all these acts if you’re not into her! Give her that respect–”
Jin cuts off Jimin, “That’s the thing, I do have feelings for her! I just needed some time to process and figure things out. I didn’t want to say anything because I told her I wouldn’t influence her decision.” Jin admits.
“You dummy, she was waiting for your reaction. She wants you to tell her that you give a damn about her!” Jimin says bluntly.
“I do give a damn about her!” Jin exclaimed, “I’m just scared, it’s been a long time since I felt this way about anyone before. The fact that she can just leave my grasp, scares the crap out of me.” Jin’s voice softens.
“Then you know what to do! Go tell her before it’s too late! She already started considering accepting Kyuhyun’s offer.” Jimin urges.
Jin takes a step back, and sighs. “I am an idiot, I need to head over and make things right.” Jin says while grabbing his coat and rushes out.
———
You were packed and sitting down thinking about your decision, was this your way out? Were you being a coward to run from it all? You just couldn’t believe the events that unfolded in the short amount of time. You were startled when you heard sudden banging on the door. You check through the peephole. It was Jin.
“_____!” Jin yelled through the door. “Please, can we talk?”
“No, go away!” You yelled back.
“Please, I just want to explain myself!” Jin knocked again.
“There’s nothing to explain, go be with Yujun!” You scoffed.
“You don’t understand—“ Jin starts.
You cut him off by opening the door, “You’re right Jin, I don’t understand how you could make it seem like you want something with me but still be in contact with your ex.”
“_____,” Jin’s voice softens. “It’s not like that at all.”
“Then please explain,” You quietly said. “Please, I’m supposed to be on a flight in two hours. I don’t want to go if you feel the same way I do for you.” Jin hesitates, thinking what to say and still scared to tell you his feelings. You look into his eyes for any sign that he wants to be with you. When Jin looks away, you feel your heart breaking once again. Your eyes begin watering. You receive a notification that your cab is at the front of your apartment. You look at Jin one last time, “Goodbye Jin.” You managed to make out before you headed out the door.
When you left, Jin got mad at himself for not being able to say anything. He sat on your couch with his head in his hands. He’s so frustrated, he begins to cry. He didn’t want to lose you but his fear is what drove you away.
Suddenly Mrs. Chung is in the doorframe of your apartment. She notices Jin on your couch crying without you in sight.
“Oh Seokjin,” Her look softened. “She left hasn’t she?” She asks, and Jin nods. She sighs and sits beside Jin. “When things get tough, she always ends up running away but she really waited for you.” Mrs. Chung admitted.
“I know I messed it up, and it’s too late.” Jin’s voice cracks.
“It’s never too late, do you love her?” Mrs. Chung asks, and Jin nods. “Did you tell her how you felt?” Jin shakes his head. “Chase after her! You will regret it even more if you don’t say anything.” She advises, she checks her watch. “If you leave now, you can make it.”
Jin stands up, wipes the tears in his eyes, and nods. “Okay I will go, I’ll come back with her.” Jin declares, and Mrs. Chung smiles.
“Good luck Seokjin, fighting!” She encourages as he leaves for the airport.
As Jin was driving to the airport, he didn’t give a damn about the speed limit. He tried his best to get there as soon as possible.
When Jin arrived, he was yelling your name. “_____! _____!” He was then approached by a worker asking if he needed help. “Yeah I’m looking for a woman, she’s about this tall–” He stops when he hears you call for him.
“Jin?” You asked, looking at the panicked man.
“_____!” Jin exclaimed, “I want to tell you this so I don’t regret it.” Jin begins. “But I love you, and I have since you stepped into the office. I just didn’t know it yet. The times you went into the photocopying room and I followed wasn’t an accident. I wanted to talk to you more, and the times I gave you projects with short deadlines so you had to stay longer at work was for me to be with you longer.” Jin said sincerely. “Ever since our trip to Japan, it strengthened my love for you.”
“What about the text message from Yujun?” You asked while your cheeks warm up.
“I’ll admit, I did meet with her but it was fully for closure. She wanted to apologize for what she did to me in the past.” Jin confesses. “Before you, I was scared to fall in love because you could leave just instantly. When I began catching feelings, I was worried that I only felt this way because I wanted to fill the void of Yujun. However, since meeting with her and no old feelings surfaced up. Also you leaving for this trip, it made me realize I was in love with you this entire time. I apologize for being a coward but I love you _____.” Jin starts tearing up.
You pull him into a hug, and begin crying. "I love you too Jin,” You barely make out.
“You still do?” He asks, wiping his tears away.
“Yes,” You smile at him. You pulled away to look into his eyes, “I’m ready for us, it’s you that I want in the end. I want it all, I want your stupid jokes, your warmth, your stupid face, you and your inflated ego. I love you Seokjin, and it’s been you all along.” You confess.
“What about the job opportunity abroad?” He asked.
“You idiot, I was upset that I wouldn’t be able to see you everyday. I hope you still feel the same.” You assured him.
“Of course, I do.” Jin tells you.
“So what does this make us?” You ask.
“Well we established that we love each other, that would make you my girlfriend.” Jin said, blushing. He looked at you, “If you’re okay with that of course.” He quickly adds which you smile and nod.
Jin then helps you load all your stuff into his car so he can take you home. When he drives you home, he holds your hand while drives.
———
Once you two arrive at your apartment, Jin helps you bring everything in. When he finishes he’s about to head out, you speak up.
“Thank you,” you say shyly while Jin smiles. “Is it okay if you spend the night?” You ask, Jin is shocked at first but then nods his head excited. Jin realizes he doesn’t have any sleep wear, so he offers for you two to spend the night at his apartment. You agreed but at the same time you were nervous. You just brought your backpack filled with the right amount of clothes from your luggage, and some skin care products. Once you were ready, Jin drove you two to his apartment.
———
Jin unlocks the door of his apartment with a passcode, which he ends up telling you later. When he unlocks the door, it’s a different atmosphere compared to your apartment. Your heart begins to beat faster because this was the first time being in his apartment. He shows you around, the multiple rooms and bathrooms, and his room. Jin’s apartment was designed very modernly, and neat. He allows you to get settled, while he changes into more comfortable clothes.
Once he’s settled, the two of you flop on the couch, and he puts his arm around you.
“It was quite a day, wasn’t it?” Jin jokes, and you playfully roll your eyes.
Everything feels back to normal but now you and Jin are dating. “It was though,” you pouted while Jin chuckles and kisses your forehead.
Jin turns on the TV, where you both see Jimin performing a dance.
“Is that who I think it is?” You ask.
“Yup, I thought you knew he was a professional dancer.” Jin said, while you connected the pieces together.
“I’m not big on the dance world,” you admit.
“Maybe you’ll see him on one of your idol variety shows,” Jin jokes, and you giggle. Jin skips through the channels until he gets to one with your variety shows’ episodes airing. It was featuring Agust D, he was one of your favourite artists recently.
“I love Agust D,” you exclaimed, paying more attention to the show.
“Yoongi? I agree, he’s really good at what he does. I still can’t believe his parents let him major in music.” Jin says while watching the show as well.
You were taken back, “—Wait, you’re telling me you went to school with Agust D?” You asked.
Jin chuckles, “Not only did we go to school together, we’re good friends.” Your mouth widens in shock. “We were also roommates in university.” Jin admits. “I can schedule a meeting if you want,” Jin offers while you shake your head.
“It’s okay, don’t worry. If he’s in your friend group then I’ll probably meet him at one point.” You grinned, and Jin agrees. You two continue watching shows until it’s time to bed.
Jin leads you to his bedroom. Both of you get under the covers, and try to get comfortable. You and Jin tried many cuddling positions until you were both comfortable.
You two ended up deciding spooning would be your best option, which worked making you two fall asleep instantly in each other’s arms.

After the fireworks, the two of you returned back to your room. You two awkwardly gave each other a glance due to the quiet atmosphere.
“So do you want to use the private bath first?” Jin asked.
“You can go ahead, I can just go to the public one.” You insisted.
“No it’s fine, I’ll just head in after you. That way you don’t have to walk outside.” Jin protested.
“It’s fine Jin, I can handle myself.” You assured him and grabbed your things and headed to the front desk for directions.
When you arrived at the public bath house, you went into the locker room to put away your things and pre-shower. As you were lathering soap on your body, you thought about the closeness you shared with Jin. Why did things have to feel so intimate? You two just had a professional relationship. You continued scrubbing to get your mind off him but it somehow wandered back to him.
After your pre-shower, you went into the bath and relaxed. Except, the thought of Jin came back into your mind. Why did he have to be an annoying boss but super good looking? You sighed, and leaned back a little bit more. Why were you thinking about him so much? Like, why did the image of him going into the private onsen pop up? You had to shake off those lewd thoughts about your boss naked.
You managed to get through the rest of the bath without thinking about Jin too much. You got changed and headed out. When you exited the bathhouse, an older man approached you. He began speaking to you in Japanese but you couldn’t understand. You tried communicating with him that you didn’t know what he was saying.
From that, he grabbed your arm and you tried pulling away. You began yelling at him to let go of you. When the man wouldn’t, tears started forming in your eyes but you continued to try and break away from the man’s grip.
All of sudden, you heard Jin yell your name. “______!” He yelled and spotted you struggling with the man. He quickly ran to you. He got the man’s arm off you, and began yelling at the man. When things almost got physical, the man ran away. “Coward,” Jin muttered under his breath. He turned his attention to you, and softened his eyes when he saw the tears in your eyes. “Are you hurt?” He asked, concerned. You shake your head, he pulls you into his arms. Suddenly, you feel better in Jin’s warm embrace. As you two pull apart, he looks at you. “Let’s head back?” He says, and you walk beside him.
While walking back to the hotel, you glance over to Jin whose hair was still damp. Did he hear your yell for help? Was out for a cigarette and came out at the perfect time?
––––––
When you two returned to your room, both of you got ready for bed. You laid down on your back in your futon while Jin sat on his, and scrolled through his phone.
Jin looked at you, “Not going to say I told you so but I told you so. He said, trying to lighten up the mood.
“Oh shush and go to sleep already,” you said, rolling your eyes.
Jin laid in his futon facing you, “are you happy now?” He teased while you rolled your eyes.
“No, because your face is going to give me nightmares,” you joked and turned away smiling from Jin’s shocked face.
“It’s scary that I can’t tell if you’re joking. I've been told I am world wide handsome, you know?” He responds back.
“Yeah, yeah goodnight,” you said, waving your hand to motion that you were going to sleep.
“Goodnight _____,” Jin said softly, putting a smile on your face as you head to bed.
–––––
You slowly opened your eyes to find yourself facing Jin, making eye contact. “Good morning stalker.” You said groggily while stretching your arms.
“Hey! I am not a stalker, I’m surprised at how ugly someone can be while they’re asleep.” Jin playfully defended himself.
“I could say the same thing about you but even when you’re awake.” You giggled while he rolled his eyes. “So, what’s the plan today?” You asked.
“I was thinking about going to a shrine to pray for the next update to be successful.” He suggested, “You don’t have to come if you don’t want to.” He reminded you.
“Well there’s nothing to do if I stay back, so I guess I will accompany you.” You jokingly sighed.
–––––
You and Jin walked side by side to a nearby shrine. On the way, you enjoyed the warm sunny morning scenery. It smelt like all kinds of traditional dishes that you didn’t even know of. You knew what Jin was praying for but were you going to pray? You weren’t that religious. Sure you were raised a certain way but you were still figuring out what you believed.
You glanced over to Jin, “Hey, how come we’re going to a shrine? Are you religious?” You asked.
Jin chuckled, “I just heard from a few of my father’s close friends it doesn’t hurt to pray or wish for your own success. As of right now, I am undecided.” He shrugs, and you nod continue to walk beside him.
When you two made it to the shrine, you stood beside each other and lowered your heads. Crap, what were you wishing or praying for? Probably something selfless like the success of the update and the wellbeing of your family. You look over to Jin who has his head lowered and looks deep in thought.
As you stood beside him, you thought about how fast your relationship with your boss has progressed. From hating his guts to somewhat hating his guts. Maybe it was for the better that you were getting along with him. You are learning a lot of interesting things about him that aren’t just surface level. Maybe deep down you wanted to get to know him even more. He did save you from that man, you couldn’t completely hate his guts. So, you wished or prayed that you and Jin’s relationship would progress even more, and for the success of the new update.
When you finished, you looked over to Jin who was staring at you. “What did you pray for?” He asked.
“I can’t say, it might not come true.” You shrugged.
“It was probably about me, wasn’t it?” Jin smirked.
“Yeah I prayed for you to be less annoying but I guess it didn’t work.” You shrugged putting your hands in your pocket.
“I’m going to pretend that I didn’t hear that.” Jin said, and you giggled. “I say let’s go for breakfast? I talked to Mrs. Sato and she said there is a good restaurant nearby.” He suggested.
“Sure, whatever you want. I’m just baggage.” You reminded him.
“Nonsense ____! Your opinion and feelings matter to me, so please express them as you please.” He said, you were about to comment on him until he spoke up again. “Unless it’s an insult towards me then you can keep it yourself.” He sticks his tongue out while you laugh.
———
While you two eat, you discuss the rest of the plans for the day.
“I’m not entirely sure, we could scout some ideas for the new area for the update. I want it to be based in Japan but I just don't know what to include.” Jin said stumped.
“Well Japan’s city life is important right? I feel like you should include something regarding that, and all of the traditional stuff.” You suggest and Jin’s face lights up.
“It’s hard for me to admit this but you’re a genius _____!” He exclaimed. “Well we will have to go to Tokyo tomorrow for the meetings with the investors, so we’ll do that stuff tomorrow. I have taken pictures of the shrine already, let’s walk around the residential areas so I can take some photos for inspiration.” He said smiling, and you just agreed.
So that’s what you two did the whole day, walk around taking photos of the local food vendors, housing, and neighborhoods. While walking around, the both of you tried the many of the snacks offered to you two.
Before you realized it, the sun was setting. “Well _____, I do say it was a successful day. I say let’s find some dinner and head back to the hotel.” He said.
“I agree.” You said and happily walked next to Jin searching for a place to eat.
———
The following day, you two woke up bright and early to get ready. Jin called one of his father’s drivers that resides in Japan to drive the both of you.
“Wouldn’t it be better for us to take the train?” You asked Jin. “It’s for the experience,” you defended.
“I’m not trying to get lost in Japan,” Jin shrugged. “Plus it’ll be awhile until we get there. We still have to look presentable to our investors.” He added.
On the car ride, Jin and the driver were catching up from the last time they saw each other. You were just enjoying the scenery as the car passed by.
When you arrived at the headquarters, Jin scanned his keycard and you two entered. You followed Jin like a lost puppy. He eventually led you into one of the many meeting rooms.
“After we greet everyone, you can take a seat around the front _____.” Jin guided you, “I’ll do most of the talking so don’t worry.” He smiles at you.
So, as the investors and some of the upper staff arrive, you and Jin bow and greet them. When everyone is seated, you take a seat as well.
Jin turns on his PowerPoint, he begins speaking in Japanese to accommodate the investors.
“Hello everyone. First of all, thank you all for trusting in Nexon, and providing us with many opportunities.” Jin starts off strong. Jin continues his presentation on how much the company succeeded when the investors invested into the company.
“Without your help, we wouldn’t be as successful as we are now. As a thank you, we will be making the new update in honour of you all.” Jin explains the concept of the new update, and the investors looked pleased. “As a bonus, there will be gift-baskets made specifically for you from my father. Please enjoy them, and if you have any concerns please feel free to contact me.” He confidently said. No one had any questions, so they were dismissed; however, some stayed back to talk to Jin. They were asking him questions which you didn’t understand but you stayed focused on them.
“Who’s this pretty lady?” One of the men asked.
“One of our hardest workers,” Jin said, smiling at you.
“Ah Seokjin, I thought you were going to introduce her as your wife. Aren’t you thinking about settling soon?” The other man asked, making the others laugh.
Jin chuckles, “I thought about marriage but my priority is the company, of course.”
“What a shame, if I was younger maybe I would go after her.” The man teases.
“To be fair Mr. Cho, Mrs. Cho wouldn’t be happy if she heard that.” Jin chuckles, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Mr. Cho laughs, “Ms. ______ would be perfect for my son then.” He states, “Kyuhyun is just a younger me.”
Jin lets out an ‘Oh boy’, and it makes the other men laugh. Jin looks at you, and gives his farewells to some of the men. You also bow out of respect, and the men give you smiles.
“So what did you guys talk about?” You asked.
“Oh nothing, they were just talking about my father.” Jin said, brushing your question off. You don’t think too much about it, and follow beside him as you two exit the building.
For some reason, Jin didn’t want you to receive attention from other men. He wanted to keep you all to himself but he has no right. The idea of other men being able to touch you or even look at you bothered him. He shook off those thoughts but somehow they still lingered.
The rest of the day, you two spent sightseeing what the city of Tokyo had to offer. Jin took many pictures, he’d sneak pictures where you were in them. Until he was approached by a man a bit older than him.
“I can take a photo of you and your girlfriend,” the man offered. Jin wanted to capture a single memory of you two on this trip so he agreed.
“_____, let’s take a picture!” Jin exclaimed, putting his arm around you.
“Why?” You whined.
“For memories, of course.” Jin grinned. The man snapped the photo when you two smiled.
The remainder of the day consisted of taking photos and eating wherever.
———
Once you and Jin returned to your room, you settled your things down. You noticed a text message from Jungkook. “How’s your honeymoon with the world wide gentleman:)” The text said.
“Honestly, not bad still kind of hate his guts though lol” you replied. “Did you also know about my nickname??” You sent another text.
Jungkook replied quickly with, “Yes but isn’t it true?? LOL”.
“Yeah but you didn’t tell me? :(“ You replied back.
It takes a few minutes but he replies with, “I thought you knew and it bugged you, so I didn’t want to bring it up. I’m sorry:/“.
“I’m not mad, was just wondering” You texted to clear the tension you felt. “Anyways I’ll see you in a few days” You texted.
“See you! And have fun;)” He replies, and you roll your eyes, setting your phone down. Jin is putting away his belongings.
“Will you be using the onsen tonight? If so, you can head in first.” He said looking at you. Did you want to go in at the same time as Jin? If he does live up to his nickname, then you shouldn’t worry right? It’s probably you that shouldn’t stare but you shake those thoughts away.
“Yeah I’ll just get my stuff ready and I’ll head in,” you said, getting your stuff together. You grabbed your stuff and headed to the onsen.
“Tell me when I can come in,” Jin said.
“Okay,” you responded as you shut the sliding door behind you. You took off your clothes and pre-showered before entering the bath.
When you settled, you told Jin he was good to enter. “Look away ____, don’t be a pervert!” Jin jokes as you hear the sliding door open. Your back is facing him so you can’t see him.
“Whatever, I’ll have to bleach my eyes if I see anything.” You said, while Jin pouts.
After Jin finishes showering, you can hear him enter the bath. Luckily for the two of you, the steam and fog covered most of your bits and you think it’s for the better. Although, your eyes would wonder but quickly move elsewhere.
“Okay you’re good,” Jin said, leaning back to relax. When you turn around, his Adam's apple is prominent. You needed to relax but the sight felt so sensual. You began to feel awkward because you felt weird painting your boss in a certain way.
Suddenly, Jin speaks up, “_____, I noticed you haven’t said my first name yet at all during this trip.” He said. Shit, was he that observant?
“Well there hasn’t been a time that required me to say it.” You said, trying to avoid this conversation, but Jin gives you a look.
“You can’t do it, huh?” He smirks.
“It’s not that I can’t do it, I just don’t want to do it.” You replied. “I think I’m just used to saying Mr. Kim,” you shrugged.
“I think it’s not fair, I’ve been calling you by _____.” He pouts.
“I mean no one’s forcing you, Jin.” You said turning red but you receive a smile from Jin.
“See? Was that so hard?” He smiles at you.
“Whatever,” you said, rolling your eyes at him.
“Anyway, do you know how I got my nickname? I wanna know what the staff says about me?” He asks, and you’re taken back.
“What? The world wide gentleman one? Or the asshole one?” You asked while he fakes a laugh.
“Haha, the gentleman one.” He clarified.
“From what I heard, you’re just not interested in sex but the way you talk to some of the female staff begs to differ.” You shrugged, with a tug on your heart for some reason.
He begins to chuckle, “Is someone jealous?” He smirks. “Rest assured, it’s not my intention to flirt with them. I guess I just have this natural charm.” He gloats while you give him a ‘whatever’. It’s silent for a minute until he speaks up again.
“Is your nickname true then?” He asks you.
“I guess? I am not experienced if that’s what you’re asking.” You shrugged while he raises an eyebrow. “How about you?” You asked.
“I’m experienced but it has definitely been a long time.” He admits to you.
“I can see why,” you muttered, receiving a ‘hey’! You begin to feel light headed so you decide it’s time for you to head out. You tell Jin and he looks away so you can exit. As you exit, you see Jin’s muscular back with broad shoulders. You quickly head inside and let him know when he’s good. You get changed and laid in your futon thinking about Jin’s body which makes your lower body tingle but you can’t think that way about your boss. You’ll either punish yourself later or go back to those thoughts another day. For now, you were exhausted and needed some sleep.
Jin, on the other hand, was wondering what he was going to do. He was hard as rock. Although the fog and steam covered most of your bits, it didn’t cover all. As he tried to avoid looking there but he wouldn’t admit it just yet but he knew you were attractive. Was his attraction for you growing too? Sure, he was attracted to you before this trip, checking you out every time you two were in the photocopying room but were these feelings valid? He needed to relieve himself but feared you’d still be awake if he had to pass by your shared room. So, he was stuck in the bath thinking about you.
Obviously he didn’t view you as something to be objectified but when was the last time he’s done it? It’s probably been months, he was just so caught up with work. He’d be passed out, asleep whenever he arrives home. Your friendship with him has been growing rapidly, but why did he feel so attracted to you? Was he beginning to grow feelings for you? Or is it because it’s been awhile since he’s released some tension. There were moments between you two that were a little too intimate. Especially bathing together. Now, he couldn’t stop thinking about you, and taking away your innocence. Was that messed up for him to want to be your first? He wanted to be the one who pleases you and not some guy like Kyuhyun who only cares for himself. Was he just being selfish and caught up in his desires? Most likely, but he knows you deserve the best but could he provide that to you? Every second that went by, the worse it became. He didn’t know what to do. Should he fight the urge to get it off to you? Or does he relieve the tension?
His decision would be based on if you were sleeping, if you were then it’d be easy to pass by you and enter the washroom. If you were awake then, he’d simply go to bed and endure the pain.
He slowly slid the door open to check if you were asleep. Your eyes were closed and your breathing seemed consistent. Fuck it, he’s doing it. He sneaks past you and heads into the washroom where he sits on the stool, wraps his hand around the base and slowly begins to stroke it. All he can think about is taking you, and making you feel good. He could care less about him finishing, as long as he can hear you’re having a good time, then he would get off that alone. He increases the pace which makes him let out quiet groans. As he reaches his climax, his breathing gets heavier. When he is about to release, he shuts his eyes and imagines letting it out inside of you. He takes a few breaths to slow down his heart beat. When he’s ready, he cleans up and heads to bed, mentally punishing himself for getting it off to you but wondering if you could ever see him in the same light.
––––––
The rest of the trip was fine but you noticed Jin being more distant. With that distance, you began to think about your feelings. Were you beginning to catch feelings for Kim Seokjin, the CEO of Nexon and the son of the chairman? There’s no way, but you do get nervous everytime you’re around him now. You can’t think this way, you know it can never work, you were just from two completely different worlds. Even if did, would his parents approve? So many things ran through your mind.
However, you knew some things for sure. It was unclear if you had feelings for Jin. It only has been a couple of days, and you’re imagining scenarios in your head about a man who's been giving you affection. You believe your feelings for Jin were just infatuation and nothing more.
Similarly, Jin was unsure of his feelings toward you as well. Ever since that night after the onsen, he worried what he’d feel around you. He was conflicted because he knew that you were way more than just to lust over. He enjoyed being around you, he loves the banter you can have with him, and he hates seeing you cry. Jin considered your age, he wondered if you were willing to be ready to settle down. Nevertheless, Jin will probably sort out his feelings when you return to Korea.
So when you two returned, he would show up to your apartment everyday to take you to work or just spend the weekend with you.
“I don’t understand why you’re here everyday,” you whined but it wasn’t like you were complaining. “Especially on the weekend,” you added.
“I’m gracing you with my beauty, of course.” Jin smirks as he enters your place as usual. You noticed you were still wearing your pyjamas, “Will you not change?” He asks.
You shake your head, “why would I? It’s the weekend and I just want to stay home for once.” You complained. It was true, ever since you and Jin came back he came over more often.
The first time Jin came over from the trip was to pick you up. You were getting ready to leave until you heard knocking at the door. You checked the peephole and it was Jin? You slowly opened the door.
“Leave,” you told him.
“What why? You don’t want to be blessed with my presence?” He pouts.
“Not really, I dread seeing you for eight hours of my day. So, please don’t add more.” You said while he rolled his eyes.
“I’m here already so let me take you to work then,” he offered.
“Fine only because you’re here already,” you said, and Jin grins. “—But! No more coming around,” you stated.
“Hm, we’ll see about that.” He smirks and you two head to his car to go to work.
From then, Jin comes to your apartment everyday to pick you up despite your protests. You ended up accepting it, and it just became a routine.
Jin driving you to work definitely did not help with the rumours. Everyone would question you, and you would deny every time. It was the truth even though it seemed otherwise.
Jin spoke up, “Well then, how do you commoners relax on the weekends?” He asks.
“For me, I just lay in bed and scroll through my phone,” you shrug while Jin’s eyes widen.
“That’s it?” He asked in disbelief.
“Yeah or I sit on the couch and watch variety shows,” you stated.
“Have you eaten at all?” He asks.
“Not yet, I’m not hungry.” You said. Jin begins going into your kitchen and looking through the fridge. “What are you doing?” You asked, eyeing him.
“I will cook for you, you can relax and I will cook.” He said, putting on your apron that was covered in pink and white hearts all over it.
You laugh and take out your phone to take a photo. Jin looks at you, “What?” He asks.
“It’s a view watching Mr. Kim Seokjin, the CEO of Nexon cooking in a cute apron.” You smile.
“So you admit I am a view, and I can’t get these clothes dirty, they’re designer.” He defended.
When Jin is done cooking, you two eat together. He is looking at you, waiting for your thoughts. “Not bad for someone who was spoon fed their whole life,” you grin while he playfully sighs.
“At least you can appreciate my work,” Jin smiles.
After the two of you eat, you clean up. “So what now?” He asks.
“I lay in bed and go on my phone while you get out.” You said waiting for him to leave.
“Kicking me out already?” Jin pouts, “I wanna try relaxing like commoners.” He begs.
“I wanna lay on my bed though,” you defended.
“Yeah I’ll lay beside you and you won’t even know I’m there,” he tries to compromise. Your heart starts beating faster, can you even handle sharing a bed with Jin? Why does he have to be so persistent? He’s giving you the pleading eyes.
You sigh, “Fine but if you do anything weird, I will kick you.” You agree, and Jin’s face lights up.
You two lay in your bed facing each other with your phones in hand. You peek over to Jin who is scrolling endlessly through his phone.
After a while, your eyes begin to get heavy but you check up on Jin who is now passed asleep. You admire him for a second and you fall asleep shortly.
You wake up an hour later, and he’s holding you in his arms still fast asleep. Your eyes widen, you look up to Jin’s sleeping face, and feel his heartbeat due to your closeness. You stretch a bit and try to get out without waking him but his grip was too strong. All you managed was to face away from Jin, so now you two were spooning. You sighed and relaxed for a bit, then you felt Jin let go and turned away.
What was that? You asked yourself. You thought logically, your bed was probably smaller than his and being close made him think subconsciously you were a pillow. You shake your head and move away from Jin, trying to calm down your fast heart beat. Why did he have to make you feel a certain way? You covered your face with your hands and put your back towards him.
———
The next few weeks consisted of you trying to avoid Jin, that way you didn’t have to confront your feelings just yet. Luckily for you, your coworker, Suho, invited you out after work for drinks.
“Hey Jungkook and ______, we’ll be going out for drinks after work. Would you guys want to come?” He asks, smiling at you.
Before you could say anything, Jungkook speaks up, “Sure! We’ll be there.” He said, giving a thumbs up to Suho. As Suho walks away, you give Jungkook a look.
“Why did you agree?” You asked while squinting your eyes at him.
“I’m helping you out,” Jungkook said. “If Mr. Kim doesn’t make a move then maybe Suho will.” Jungkook shrugs and goes back to work.
The rest of the day you thought about what Jungkook said, if Jin wanted to make a move then he would, right?
After work, you and your coworkers ate at a small restaurant that’s close to your apartment. The seating positions were of a mixer, so the opposite gender would be on either side of you. You enjoyed getting to know your coworkers outside of a work setting, everyone seemed more relaxed. You glanced over to Jungkook who was hitting it off with a girl which brought a smile to your face.
Somehow you returned back to the present when one of the girls asked you about Jin. “So _____, what’s going on with you and Mr. Kim?” Ji-ah asked which made all eyes turn toward you.
You begin to awkwardly laugh, “Nothing at all, I promise.” You said which made some of the girls relieved.
“I wonder who he’s always on the phone with then,” Ji-ah brought up. “But if it is his girlfriend, I heard she’s coming by tomorrow to visit him.” She stated.
“I guess we’ll have to wait and see,” Suho calmly said but then chuckles.
“Ahh if he is, I’m jealous.” Sangyeob sulks, and you giggle while you comfort him.
“I mean it would be nice to have someone,” Ji-ah sighs but everyone agrees. “How about you, Suho?” She asks him, and he turns red.
“I don’t have anyone,” he admitted.
“How about _____? You two seem compatible.” Ji-ah said due to her intoxication. You and Suho just look at each other and laugh.
––––
After the dinner, you said goodbye to your coworkers but Suho stayed back.
“Is something wrong Suho? Do you need something?” You asked, concerned for the flushed Suho.
“______, may I walk you home?” He asks, and you nod. “So, are you seeing anyone?”
You laugh, “Nope, there’s no one.” You said looking away. Was there really no one? Technically Jin wasn’t yours, and you weren’t his. So, you aren’t lying. “How about you Suho? I know you said you aren’t but is there anyone in your heart?” You asked. You wouldn’t be surprised if he did, Suho is attractive and kind. He’d be the type you can take to your parents, and they would just accept him on the spot.
“Ah, there’s a girl I’ve liked since I met her but I don’t know if she’d accept my feelings.” He said with a soft look on his face.
“I’m rooting for you! If she doesn’t accept them, then it will be her loss. You’re a great guy Suho, and any girl would be lucky to have you.” You said in full honesty, and he smiles.
“Thanks _____, wouldn’t expect you to say that to me.” He said, scratching the back of his head.
“Well I mean it, I hope things go well. Do you plan to confess your feelings to her?” You asked, looking up realizing you two are close to your apartment.
“I want to but I think I’ll hold back for now.” He said.
“Well I wish you luck, and thank you for walking me home.” You said smiling at him. He returns a smile, and as you’re walking to the door, he grabs your arm.
“–Wait _____, I really enjoyed your company.” Suho admits. Your cheeks begin to feel hot but you let out a smile. You notice a car pull up beside you and Suho while he’s still holding your arm.
It was Jin, “Oh _____, you’re out still?” He said. He turned his attention to Suho holding your arm, “Mr. Lee isn’t bothering you or giving you any trouble, is he?” He asked, glaring at Suho while Suho glared back.
“Oh no, he was walking me home from an outing with some of the staff.” You reassured Jin.
He sighs, “I told you to just call me when you needed a ride.” He shakes his head.
Suho speaks up, “Well I’ll be seeing you at work _____,” giving you a smile. “And you too Mr. Kim,” he said reluctantly while Jin just gave him a nod.
“Goodnight Suho,” you said, waving as he walks off. You look over to Jin who is eyeing you.
“Were you on a date?” He questioned, you shake your head.
“Some of the staff like Ji-ah and Sangyeob wanted to go out for drinks after work, and Suho offered to walk me home.” You confessed, Jin analyzes you for a while and nods.
“Ah okay, anyway you should head inside, it’s dark.” He advised, you nod and start to walk inside. “Hey _____!” Jin yelled which made you turn around. “Have a goodnight! I’ll be there in the morning to join you for breakfast.” He said, making you smile. You waved to Jin and headed inside.
–––––
Despite those weeks you avoided Jin, and feeling awkward. Somehow you began to feel better, and everything felt like it was going back to normal. Until you noticed a bouquet of flowers on your desk, there was a card that read:
To _______,
Thank you for your hard work at Nexon. I would like for us to arrange a meeting date so I can offer you my thanks and an opportunity abroad.
Signed, Cho Kyuhyun.
The contact details were at the back of the card. You were curious about the opportunity, and this person. So, you emailed them with the detail from the back of card.

It was a sunny afternoon, and you were stuck at your desk filling out a report for your boss. Kim Seokjin, the most annoying CEO you have ever met. There were a lot of things you disliked about Mr. Kim like his attitude, or how you’d always run into him while trying to photocopy something, or how he was rumoured to be a player but somehow got the title World Wide Gentleman. Although you disliked Mr. Kim, you would only admit to yourself and your best friend, Jungkook, that you did find him attractive. You have been complaining to Jungkook more often about him.
“I swear I will confront him about how shitty he is,” you looked over to your best friend was just doodling.
“I don’t know ____, you literally say this every week.” Jungkook shrugged his shoulders not believing you. “Also, not much anyone can do like no one can question his authority, Mr. Kim is the son of Chairman Kim.” Your best friend continued doodling on one of his sticky notes.
“That what’s bullshit! Is he even qualified to be a CEO?” You protested while keeping an eye out for Mr. Kim.
“I don’t know, ask Chairman Kim.” Jungkook just chuckles. “Remember that time you tried to criticize him and you ended up complimenting him,” Jungkook throws his head back while laughing.
“That was one time, and do you know how hard it is not to fold while that man is talking to you?” You put your head down in defeat while your best friend laughs at you.
You remembered when you stormed in to Mr. Kim’s office, and he sat there doing his work. You were done with him, he would often tease you in front of your coworkers so they would continue when Mr. Kim left, constantly sets large and emotionally draining projects with short deadlines, and has never given you a promotion for all your on-time work. Sure, you may not have the place to say you deserve a promotion but you have been loyal to your work and the company despite it being shit sometimes.
“Oh! Hello Ms. ____, how can I help you?” Mr. Kim gave you that world wide smile that could make anyone’s heart melt. You were folding by the second and realized you couldn’t confront him, you mentally sighed and gave up.
“Hello Mr. Kim, I– uh – just was going to say thanks! For being a great boss… I– uh yeah, that’s all I had to say. Have a good night!” You barely managed out of nervousness. He chuckles at you.
“Thanks Ms. ____, have a good night as well.” Mr. Kim smiled and continued typing away, allowing you to leave his office quickly.
When you returned to your desk, Jungkook looked at you waiting for the details on how it went. “So, were you able to tell him?” He questioned.
“Yeah, I did… Totally.” You said moving your eyes on to your screen beginning to type whatever report you had to do.
Jungkook’s face drops, “You didn’t get to tell him huh?”
“Okay hear me out, I totally would have if I didn’t find him attractive.” You sighed into your desk while your best friend chuckled at you.
Your mind goes back to present time when your best friend speaks up, “Hey can you make two photo copies of these? I just need to finish this.” He asks while slaving away on his computer, and you just nod.
You went into the photocopy room, and you’re not surprised when Mr. Kim joins you. ‘Oh boy, here we go,'' you thought. He greets you with a smile.
“Hello! Ms. Lee—” He asks but notices your face drops into a frown. How could he get your name wrong, he literally went to your desk earlier. “Oh no, it was Ms. _____. I apologize.” He corrected himself and you nodded. “So how was your weekend?” He asked. You were confused, was this just small talk or did he genuinely want to know?
“It was fine, I just ran some errands, and finished that project for the new update,” you stated as you tried to focus on photocopying quickly. You noticed the silence, he was waiting for you to ask him about his as well. “How about you, Mr. Kim?” you asked.
Mr. Kim then rested his arm on one of the counters and leaned a bit to the side, “Ah you know, I did some golfing with the board directors. It turns out Mr. Choi is a professional tennis coach, he taught me a few things at my family’s estate.” He went on, “Yeah, I think I could be a professional tennis player if I wanted to.” He gloated which made you roll your eyes. It was one of the reasons why you can’t stand Mr. Kim, he was very entitled because that’s all he knows. He doesn’t know what it’s like to actually work hard for your money, that all glitters is not gold.
“Wow, that's nice. Well I’m almost finished here, and it’s all yours.” You said when retrieving the second last paper. ‘Uh oh, it’s jammed’. Of course to your luck, the photocopier gets jammed while you’re in here with Mr. Kim. You bent down to try and fix the jam while you felt a pair of eyes burn into you.
“Ms. ______, why do you seem to avoid me when we run into each other?” He asks, raising an eyebrow.
You shrugged, “I’m just trying to get my work done sir. So, if you need something you can always just ask.” You said while taking out the pulled paper. Mr. Kim just nodded, not pressing any further. You managed to finish photocopying the rest of Jungkook’s papers. You bowed before opening the door and leaving Mr. Kim.
When you return to your desk, your best friend looks at you with a grin on his face as if he realized something. “Are you and Mr. Kim together? Is that why you can’t criticize him?” He asked.
“What?! No! What makes you think that?” You asked in disbelief.
“I mean you guys really balance each other out, he seems like the more laid back type while you’re the up your ass type.” He stated while you rolled your eyes, “Plus it cannot be a coincidence that everytime you enter the photocopy room, he follows shortly. Are you guys doing the nasty? If so, I’ll do my own photocopying.” He laughs as he takes the papers out of your hands.
“Oh my god, no! Does it seem like that? I hope no one else thinks that way.” You panicked.
“I mean I was questioned by some of the other staff if you were together. Now their reasoning was because you stay late when he’s here late.” He shrugs. Your eyes widen at the fact the other staff might think you’re dating Mr. Kim. “–I mean no one is opposed to it but people are wondering.” Your best friend reminds you.
You shake your head, “I can’t believe people would think I could be with that stuck up man!” You were still in disbelief. “You know what? This time I will confront him to prove that I could never date him!” You declared while Jungkook laughed at your bluff.
You walked over to Mr. Kim’s office and knocked. “Who is it?” You could hear him ask.
“It’s _____.” You declared and opened the door when he said it was okay.
“May I talk to you?” You asked. After he motioned for you to sit down which you did.
“Yes, and I do have a few things to discuss with you too but please continue.” He said which made your heart beat pick up, what could he possibly talk to you about?
“Well… You see Mr. Kim, I believe it is unfair that you set such large projects with little notice and short deadlines. I don’t think you understand that many of us can’t even have our own weekend to ourselves because of the impossible deadlines!” You discussed with him.
“I apologize Ms. _____, I’ll try to let you and the other staff prepare quicker for those short deadlines. I didn’t know it would go into your weekend time. I will remind myself to compensate you for that.” He stated, “—however, I do believe in your best interest that it’d be best to tone down the joking around Mr. Jeon.” Mr. Kim suggests and you just nod.
“There are some other matters I’d like to discuss with you,” Mr. Kim started and you kept your eyes on him. “There will be a business trip to Japan just to keep in good light with some of our investors.” He explained.
“So?” You questioned where you were in this conversation.
“I’d like you to accompany me to Japan, you are one of our hardest workers and I know you’ll adapt quite easily. We will go there a few days before and you can relax and get paid. It’ll compensate for the hours you put in during your time off.” He offered, “so, what do you say?” He asked.
A trip with you and Mr. Kim? You will fold by the second but his annoyance may balance that out. “Alright, I will accompany you,” you agreed.
“Perfect! I will pick you up Saturday evening to go to the airport.” He said writing it down in his agenda. You two exchanged contacts and you were out of there. What were you getting yourself into?
———
Saturday morning comes around, and you hear a knock at the door. You check the peephole of the door of your small apartment. It was Mr. Kim?
“You said you weren’t coming until the evening.” You complained.
“Good morning to you too. I had to make sure you were packed properly.” He assured, you laughed at his comment. You let him in, he was holding a plastic bag.
“Speak for yourself,” you scoffed. “Also, how did you even get into the building?” You asked.
“I met Mrs. Chung, and helped her out with the groceries. She asked who I was, I said I was one of your special friends. I didn’t know you’ve been single your whole life.” He chuckles. “She also gave us some food,” he said as he showed you the bag.
“I haven’t been single my whole life, I went on a few dates here and there—“ you said but when receiving a look from Mr. Kim, you sighed. “Okay I’ve never been in a relationship before.” You admitted and he just laughs at you.
“So you live up to your title,” he said, looking at him confused.
“I have a title?” You were beyond confused.
“Yeah the Pure Virgin,” Mr. Kim tells you and your eyes widen. You made a mental note to ask Jungkook when you return to work. So people thought the Pure Virgin and the World Wide Gentleman were getting it on, this trip will definitely not help with those rumours. “Mr. Jeon didn’t say anything to you?” He asked and you shook your head as a response.
“How the hell did you hear about those rumours?” You asked confused, were you that oblivious to the talk about you going around? First the dating rumours and now the nickname? And you thought you couldn’t keep your mouth shut.
“Ah you know, walking around you hear people talk.” Mr. Kim shrugs, and you just sigh.
“Well since Mrs. Chung made food, make yourself comfortable. Mr. Kim, you can eat, I’ll continue packing.” You said getting the small dining table you had ready.
“Wait– You're not eating with me?” He asks, and you shake your head. “Food always tastes better when you’re eating with someone.” He states, pouting while looking at you.
You sigh and give in, “Fine.” You said as you grabbed another plate and utensils for yourself.
“Oh by the way, ____” Mr. Kim called you by your first name, “Please do call me ‘Jin’ during this trip. No need for formalities, right?” He chuckles as you nod your head. You two began eating, “Has Mrs. Chung always made you food?” Jin asked suddenly.
You finished swallowing before answering, “Most of the time yeah, I guess we both rely on each other.” You began explaining how Mrs. Chung has taken care of you ever since you moved in across from her. “Her daughter just got carried away with her new family, and they live in the US. So, Mrs. Chung is just here. She treats me like her own daughter, which is nice when I get home sick.” You told Jin as he has a mouthful of food in his mouth. “It’s nice, if I need a mother figure I know I can go to her. If she misses her daughter, she’ll come see and cook for me. It’s like a mutual agreement.” You laugh.
“Ah that’s sweet. That reminds me of my maid, my parents were often busy with the company. So, they wouldn’t get much time with me or let alone cook a meal for me and my brother.” Jin said, reminiscing in his memory. “Why do you live away from your parents?” He asked.
“Ah, it just made sense for me to live closer to work. Our family home is out of the country, so the commute would be difficult. I thought it would just be better this way.” You shrugged.
“That’s so–” Jin began tearing, “sad.” He continued.
“You’re so dramatic, it’s fine. It’s not like I don’t see them, I just don’t get to see them often.” You comforted whatever he was upset about.
He wiped his tears, “You’re right but to be honest out of all places, this one?” He questioned.
“Weren’t you just crying now? Why are you judging my place?” You asked, squinting your eyes at him. “Plus, it’s not like I could afford the super nice places around work. This apartment is simple, and that’s good enough for me.” You said.
“I’m assuming a simple apartment for a simple girl?” He asked, and you nod. Wait, you were just ‘simple’? You shook off the thought, “You don’t think it’s too small?” He spoke up again, and you shook your head.
“I think it’s too small for someone like you, I’m the only one living here so it’s good enough.” You laughed.
“I will admit, it is quite small compared to my apartment but I’m just amazed at how many rooms you have less than me.” He looked around. “Like you only have one bathroom!” He said, amazed.
“You’re annoying, not everyone grew up with everything paid for.” You shook your head, “Also, if you’re just going to insult my place, you can just come back later.” You try shooing Jin away, and he wouldn’t budge.
“I’m not trying to insult it, I guess I am just not used to the commoner way of living.” He shrugged while you rolled your eyes.
For the rest of the morning, you continued packing while Jin scrolled through his phone. When you finished packing, he got up and carried your luggages to his car.
You two made your way to the airport. During the car ride, the smell of a new car and of Jin’s leather seats hits your nose, cold air blasts through the vents hitting your cheeks, and the radio was at a comfortable volume. You looked over to Jin who was driving with one hand on the wheel, and he glanced over to you.
“Admiring my beauty in all its glory?” He smirks.
“You wish.” You replied.
As you get closer to the airport, Jin reaches over to you to open the glove compartment. He grabs his passport, and pulls into a parking space.
“You know you could’ve asked me to do that?” You said.
“Where’s the fun in that?” He replied and you two got out of the car.
–––––
On the plane ride, you sat right beside Jin in first class. “So since the meetings don’t start in a few days, what’s the schedule?” You asked him.
“Well there is some sightseeing to do, you do not have to come but I’m trying to get some inspiration for the next update. You can just relax or do sightseeing on your own, if you please.” He said giving you a choice. “–But can you speak Japanese?” He asked, and shook your head ‘no’. “–Then I guess, you’re stuck with me.” He gives you a grin, and your heart starts beating a bit faster. Why are you excited for some one on one time with Jin?
When the both of you arrive at the hotel, Jin approaches the front desk.
“Hello, I have a reservation for two rooms under Kim Seokjin.” He told the desk lady, and she began searching for it on her computer.
Before she spoke up, she had an apologetic look on her face.
“Sorry Mr. Kim, the second room you booked isn’t available.” Jin sighed, “–However, you won’t be charged for the first three days and the room available will be discounted.” She said, and Jin just nodded. It was out of his control.
“So the room with the private onsen is the one available?” He asked, and the lady nodded. “Can I request another futon then?” He requested and the desk lady agreed.
The lady showed you two to your shared room. When the two of you entered, you saw the sun setting through the open sliding door that led to the private bath. The lady suddenly spoke up.
“Just to let you know, there is a festival going on. If you’d like to participate, please let the front desk know. You will be provided a yukata for both of you and it’s free of charge.” She smiled.
“Okay thank you.” You and Jin said insync, and smiled as the lady left you two alone.
Jin looked at you, “Do you want to go?” He asked. You were debating whether or not to go but how often do you get to travel and experience festivals back in Korea? So, you nodded and both of you settled your stuff down then headed to the front desk.
When you receive the yukata, the wife of the owner of the hotel offers to help you. In which, you accepted. The owner’s wife almost reminds you of Mrs. Chung with her motherly touch. She even pinned up your hair and gave you a hair pin that matched your yukata. When you returned back into Jin’s sight, he admired you for a second before Mrs. Sato, the owner’s wife, spoke up.
“You two look wonderful together! You two remind me of me and my husband when we were still young.” Mrs. Sato exclaims.
“Oh we’re–” you try to correct her but Jin steps in and puts his arm around you.
He chuckles, “Thank you Mrs. Sato, and do not worry we will return the yukata and jinbei once we are done.” He speaks for the both of you.
“No worries! You two can keep it. I made those ones specifically for your parents, Seokjin but I know they are a busy couple.” She laughs.
“Well thank you!” Jin bows and she lets you two go to the festival.
As you two leave the sight of Mrs. Sato, “What the hell was that?” You asked, removing Jin’s arm off your shoulder.
“Listen, if I didn’t say that we’d have to stay an extra 30 minutes explaining why we’re sharing a room with a private bath and going to a festival together.” He defended.
“You could’ve just said we’re colleagues?” You suggested.
“Still weird that we’re sharing a room,” He stated. “Anyway, let's enjoy the festival!” He exclaimed.
You began walking around, you never been to an actual festival. There were quite a bit of fair games, growing up you didn’t play those because your parents couldn’t afford it. Jin took notice of your wandering eye, and spoke up.
“Is there a game you wanna play?” He asked.
“Oh nonono,” you quickly answered. “Plus I shouldn’t be spending money carelessly like this.” you waved your hands.
“_____, it’s fine I can pay for it,” he said while you tried to protest. You knew Jin, he’d end up paying anyway. You wanted to try the goldfish scooping. “Ya, ______ we can’t bring a goldfish back.” Jin jokes as he pays the game worker while you try to scoop the fish. When you miserably fail, “I guess I didn’t need to worry.” He teases.
“It’s not like you can do it,” you scoff at him. So, Jin pays the worker again and attempts to scoop the goldfish. In which he scoops quite a bit, and smirks at you. “So what now?” You asked looking at the bag of goldfish he won. The two of you notice a child playing, and struggling like you. Jin bends down to their level and offers it to the child. The child’s face lights up, hugs Jin, and he is taken back but chuckles at the child.
“Wow, who knew you had a soft spot for kids,” you teased Jin.
“Of course, I’m not heartless. You have such low standards for me.” He dramatically defends himself.
“I think it’s your face,” you laugh, which receives a ‘hey!’. The two of you continue playing games, and eventually you win a small prize of a small keychain that you can attach to your phone. The keychain was a cute fortune cat that wore red.
Jin noticed your keychain and got jealous. “That’s cute, I want one.” He whined.
“Then win the game.” You teased sticking your tongue out, and Jin nodded. Jin was actually good at the game and won a larger prize but requested the matching keychain to yours. His keychain was similar but the fortune cat was wearing blue and had a red collar. The two of you stuck your keychain to your phone.
As the night went on, both of you tried the festival’s food, and played games. The both of you were exhausted.
“I think I’m stuffed.” Jin said, motioning to sit down. “Let’s just rest for now.” He suggested and you nodded.
“I think it’s just your old age catching up to you.” You joked.
“I’m only 31!” Jin defended.
“Yeah… I’m 24, you’re quite old… man.” You burst out laughing at him while he smiled. “You know I really hated your guts at work but so far, it’s quite fun being around you.” You admit to him.
“Thanks, I feel the same. I enjoy your company despite you making me feel I’m this old grey man.” He smiles at you and you return one. As you two look away, loud bangs are heard. The both of you look up and see the fireworks begin. It was nice for you two to enjoy each other’s presence while watching the fireworks.

You sighed as you saw the tall figures of the boys. They spotted you and smiled. You questioned why they couldn’t just leave you alone and toy with someone else but you knew you had to get to the bottom of it. That means you probably have to play along with their game to find out, you just knew you couldn’t get involved with anyone because of their devoted fangirls.
“(Y/n)!” Jimin exclaimed while holding his camera. You smiled and bowed.
“Hello everyone.” You said walking over to the open seat which was between Jin and Taehyung.
“So (y/n), you said yes to a date with Hoseok?” Taehyung teased while the oldest sighed and shook his head.
“Lay off Taehyung, it’s probably not even like that. Am I right (y/n)?” Jin told off Taehyung, smirking at him when you weren’t looking.
“I mean yeah, I agreed because the proceeds of the game goes towards charity. There’s nothing going on between me and Hoseok.” You clarified and shifted your eyes to the court as the teams huddle up. Your eyes wandered to Yoongi wearing the school’s jersey with #29 on his back. You also noticed a few of your brother’s friends were playing, you were screwed if they spotted you with the entire group. Your brother knew what the boys were like, and didn’t agree on how they treated the girls that worshiped their feet. Others may view your brother as overprotective but he was looking out for your best interest.
“I don’t know, it’s just quite interesting that you agreed to go.” Namjoon perked up, causing you to shake your head while receiving some stares from the boys.
“How so?” You asked confused, “If an event is for charity, I’m willing to go no matter with who.” You shrugged and moved your attention to the referee who blew their whistle. The other team won the jump ball which made the boys sigh out of frustration.
“(Y/n), just a heads up, we’re loud cheerers.” Jin whispered in your ear, and you just nodded, keeping your eyes on the game. Although the other team had possession of the ball, Yoongi managed to steal the ball from a bad pass from the other team and score a point. The boys cheered for him which caused Yoongi to look towards the boys direction and give them his gummy smile.
“Hyung, what does the winning team get again?” Jungkook asked Hoseok while keeping his eyes on the game. Hoseok looked at you to explain as well.
“The winning team gets credit for the charity and decides which charity it goes to.” Hoseok explained how if your school’s team won, it would boost the school’s reputation. As it looks good to raise money for a charity and demonstrates the school excels in athletics.
“What about the losing team?” You asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Well… They do receive some credit towards raising money due to their fans but the winning team would probably have an article written about how charitable the students are and that they and the losing team joined together to raise x-amount of money for blank charity.” Hoseok said.
“Wow I didn’t know there was a lot of politics that goes on with schools’ reputation.” You said in awe that some of the boys responded in a chuckle.
“I am surprised that Xiumin has never mentioned it to you, Jin and Yoongi always talk about it. What does your brother talk to you about?” Namjoon laughed. You began to wonder why your older brother has never talked about those sorts of things to you.
“I don’t know, we talk about normal stuff I guess? We talk about recent video games or movies we want to go see. We don’t talk much about business or political stuff.” You shrugged. “What about you guys and your siblings?” You asked out of curiosity. The boys looked down realizing you had a somewhat normal relationship with your family and it wasn’t strictly business.
“Well for me, I never got to talk much to my brother as he was always locked up in his room focusing on studies.” Jin confessed to you, as the boys knew this. “(Y/n),” the oldest looked into your eyes, “you have to introduce me to some of your favourite movies.” He pleaded, in which you responded with an ‘Okay sure’ and looked to Taehyung for his answer.
“I have two younger siblings but similar to Jin-Hyung’s older brother, I often don’t get much time with them.” Taehyung shrugged, “I guess it’s one of the cons of being the oldest.” He sighs afterwards. Jimin and Namjoon gave similar answers as they just could not relate to their younger siblings due to their upbringing.
“My older sister began modeling at a very young age, and was always traveling with my mother. I didn’t get to talk to her much but she would often bring me souvenirs from her trips.” Hoseok confessed. You empathize with the boys, you assumed it felt lonely growing up. Unlike you who had your parents emotionally available to you and your brothers always offering to play with you. It wasn’t ever overbearing, they gave you enough space to create your own boundaries.
“I mean at least you guys have each other right? You guys seem like siblings despite not being blood related.” You said hoping it would lighten the mood. The boys began to nod their heads to agree with your statement. After that, all of you focused on the game with Jimin taking photos to submit to the school’s website, occasional comments from one of the boys, or cheering for Yoongi or the team.
In the last minute of the game, it was uncomfortably close. As the Bangtan team was behind 2 points. Luckily for the team, Yoongi went up to do a lay-up which went in allowing the game to tie; however, if he made his one free-throw it would put the team ahead. Yoongi was on the line getting ready to shoot, the boys cheering for him to drown out the ‘Boos’ from the other team.
“Go Yoongi!” You couldn’t help but cheer as well. The intensity of the game gave you a bit of anxiety. You were surprised when Yoongi somehow heard you and smiled and pointed to you before making it in the basket. The boys were ecstatic over the small lead that Yoongi created.
The final timeout was called, and both teams rushed to their respective benches. You assumed that the game plan was for your school’s team to play defense well and hold the ball until the timer went off. When the players got back onto the court, it was the other team’s ball. Yoongi’s job was to make sure they didn’t score a basket. The other team attempted a 3-pointer with ten seconds on the shot clock, luckily they didn’t make it.
With ten seconds left, and 1 point ahead. Yoongi brought down the ball, the team counted down the time so he was aware. He protected the ball, and at two seconds, Yoongi shot up the ball from the 3-pointer line that made the whole crowd silent. The ball went in with a perfect swish, and your school’s supporters went wild and cheered.
At the award ceremony, Yoongi went up to accept the trophy and his MVP medal while the boys cheered for him and you clapped along.
After the award ceremony, you and the boys went down to congratulate Yoongi. More like, the boys went down and just dragged you along. The boys high-fived Yoongi, and he looked at you.
“So Miss (Y/n), did you enjoy the game?” Yoongi smugly asked with a grin on his face.
“I did, you put on quite a performance Yoongi. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were scouted out after this game.” You smiled high-fiving him.
“I mean I’ve already been.” He chuckles out of cockiness which makes you roll your eyes but still giggle.
“Guys! Let’s get a group photo with Yoongi!” Jimin exclaimed.
“–Oh I can take it.” You offered due to not wanting to be in the photo.
“Nonsense! Get in!” Yoongi took your hand and made you stand beside him while the boys surrounded you two. As you smiled for the photo, you noticed your brother’s friend, Chen staring at you. ‘Oh boy I’m screwed when Xiumin finds out’, you thought but shaking off the thought for later. After the photo, you were pulled aside by Jungkook.
“(Y/n), we wanna get to know you better. Can we at least all begin as friends?” He asked with puppy dog eyes, you sighed and nodded. From that, you exchanged numbers with the boys. You got quite the week ahead of you. Yoongi invited you to play basketball and teach you a few things, Hoseok and Jimin wanted to try some choreography with you, Jin invited you over to try some baking and cooking with him, Taehyung wants to do something out in the country where his family came from, and Namjoon invited you to go bike riding out of the city. You agreed to the boys so you can get a feeling of their motives with you.
––––––––––
When you got home, you knew you were going to receive a lecture from your older brother. “(Y/n)!” He yelled. “How could you attend the charity event with them?” He asked, frustrated. “After I explicitly told you how they treat those girls!” Xiumin continued to lecture you.
“I am not one of those girls! I have never been one of those girls to chase after them!” You fought back to your brother’s surprise. “Yes I don’t agree with what they do but it’s not like I’m in love with them!” You yelled. “I understand you’re just trying to look out for me but I can also look out for myself!” You angrily stated, leaving your brother in the hallway to enter your room.
After thirty-ish minutes, you heard a soft knock at your door. “What?” You grumbled. Xiumin opened the door.
“I hope you’re not angry still, I wanted to apologize.” He began, “You’re right, I know you can look out for yourself. I just worry still, I hope you can understand.” He said softly.
“It’s okay, I’m sorry too. I didn’t mean to lash out like that. I just don’t like being grouped up like that, and wanted you to understand that you don’t always have to look out for me.” You explained, and your brother nodded.
“I know, I know but I’ll let you do things on your own but express my worries more calmly… Deal?” He offered a handshake.
“Deal.” You agreed, shaking your brother’s hand.
––––––––––
During breakfast, your family ate together. All of a sudden, your mother’s text tone went off. She put on her reading glasses to check out the recent message, she let out a chuckle.
“Who’s it from mom?” One of your older brothers asked.
“Ah it’s from Kim Seokjin’s mother, she sent me the photo of your sister and the boys.” She said, showing it around the table. “Isn’t our (Y/n) just the cutest!” She exclaimed, your brothers laughed at how small and awkward you looked compared to the boys. You glared at your brothers but just caused them to laugh at you once again.
“Mom…” You groaned not wanting to hear about the boys especially since you’ll be seeing at least one of them after school for the next few days.

Bangtan Academy (3/9) || BTS x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You are a student at Bangtan Academy, and the “Bangtan” boys realize you’re the only girl that doesn’t swoon over them. So they bet on you.
Part 1 > Part 2 > Part 3 > Part 4
Pairing: BTS x Reader (Choose Your Ending)
A/N: IM SO SORRY FOR THE LONG DELAY. I’ve just BEEN SO BUSY. PLEASE UNDERSTAND
As you sat at the table with burning stares from the boys, Hoseok’s mother spoke up, “(Y/n), I heard a few designer companies want you to model their products in Europe, is that true?” She asks. You nod, “Yes, but father doesn’t want me to move to Europe unless I’m absolutely sure.” You explain. You receive a few nods from the mothers of the Bangtan boys. “—And why would she? Everyone in the household would miss her.” Your mother says with a chuckle.
“So (Y/n), I was reading your transcripts from the Academy, you’re doing really well but why don’t you participate in the academic clubs?” Jin’s father asked, you started getting curious why they were asking you about all of your achievements. You shook it off, “Oh, I would but I have certain meetings to go to with Father, and I’m unaware of my schedule most of the time.” You said, and receiving your father’s chuckle. “The meeting is to search for (y/n)’s husband in hopes to combine business.” He said, “Unless any of your dashing young boys would marry my sweet (y/n).” He joked but sparked up the attention of everyone. The parents of the boys took a look at their sons. You were taken back, there would be no way you would marry any of these stuck up, two faced boys. You knew your family was above everyone else’s but Jin’s, so any of these families would love to combine businesses with yours. Even so, Seokjin’s family would love to combine to expand more of their business. The thought of the combination of your family and Seokjin’s family would be unstoppable.
The subject changed but you felt glances your ways from the boys here and there. As the parents talked among themselves, you continued picking at your food. You were just dreading until this dinner was over.
Once the dinner finished, you greeted everyone goodnight. You took off all your makeup and changed into your night attire. Your brother, Xiumin knocked on the door. “Come in!” You exclaimed. He opens the door, “Why the hell did the Bangtan boys come here? I’m pissed they gave dad the excuse, they wanted to see us. When all their parents just wanted to see if you were the bride of their boys’ dreams.” He rants. You laugh a little, “You’re going to get that dinner soon too, you know?” You sigh, “Anyways... I’m really over seeing them, but Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung are in my class and I can’t ask to change classes because Seokjin’s father is the school director.” You exclaimed in your pillow. “Hey, it will be fine, if they bother you then you tell me and my friends. We can talk to Yoongi because he might be the most reasonable out of all of them.” He reassures you. You nod, “Thank you.” you said, and he smiles, “Goodnight (y/n).” he says as he closes the door.
The next day at school is extra weird, when you go to your locker to put away your coat, your locker is full of roses. You already know who to point fingers to the Bangtan boys. You get a lot of looks as people walk past you. You didn't ask for any of their attentions. You shake your head and shove your coat into your locker, and shut it as quickly as possible. You walked to your first class, already cursing the boys.
As you arrived, the maknae line approaches you. You disregard them and avoid eye contact as you walk to your seat. Suddenly, Taehyung goes next your desk, “Hi (y/n), you look pretty today. Did you see our gifts in your locker?” He asks. You nod, ignoring the compliment, “I didn’t think that was necessary for the dinner, you shouldn’t be thanking me, you should be thanking my parents.” You said. “But your company was truly a blessing.” Taehyung said as he bowed. You didn’t know what to say, you tried your best not to roll your eyes so you gave a nod and looked away. You received a lot of looks from the girls that were obsessed with them but you really just ignored it.
The rest of the day was okay. Except when Seokjin called your name while he was with other girls. You just looked at him and walked away. You could not afford for all the girls in the school to hate you. You were just so annoyed why out of all people, the Bangtan boys picked you.
At lunch, you were just approached by Hoseok. ‘Oh great, what could this be?’ You thought to yourself. He greeted you with a smile. Hoseok was really nice, but you really couldn’t let your guard down. “Hi Y/N.” He says. “Hello.” You said. He brings out 2 tickets, “So I got two tickets for the upcoming basketball tournament. I was meaning to watch with Namjoon-Hyung but he unfortunately cancelled on me.” He said pouting. “And?” You questioned. “Do you want to go with me? It’s just for the charity event.” He asked. Damn it, he got you. You’re a sucker for charity events. You hesitated, “Okay sure. What time is the game?” You asked. “It’s all day on Saturday! I’ll pick you up!” He said smiling and walking away.
Oh boy what did you get yourself into?
When Saturday came around, you were dreading today. You didn’t know what was going to happen. You were just waiting in the lounge area of your house. Your father walks by the room but slowly walks back to see you. “Oh? Where are you going? You’re dressed up.” He said. “I’m just going to a game, I’ll be back soon. I’ll probably call the driver to pick me up.” You said trying to avoid conversation. ‘I don’t think I’m that dressed up. I’m just wearing a cardigan?’ You thought to yourself. Your father smiles, “Is it a date?” He teases. “It’s okay darling, don’t be a rush to come home early. Enjoy your day!” He exclaimed walking away.
“Ms. Y/N, Mr. Jung is here.” One of your security guards said, you nodded and thanked him as he escorted you out.
As you got into the car, Hoseok was surprised that you had someone escort you inside the car. “Does someone always have to escort you inside the car?” He asked. You nod, “It’s mainly out of mother’s anxiety because I am the only girl and the youngest. I’m worth more value than my brothers apparently.” You said.
When you reached the venue, it was huge. You’ve been here before but just for your brother’s taekwondo matches. Hoseok handed both your tickets in before entering the seating area.
As you sit down, Yoongi sees you guys and waves. You smile as Hoseok waves back. You look back at Yoongi, and he winks.
You and Hoseok talk for a bit. So the awkward tension is out of the way. “Have you ever been here y/n?” He asks. You nod, “My brothers have had taekwondo matches here and sometimes volleyball matches.” You say. Hoseok is surprised, “Woah that means it’s pretty serious.” He said. He continues due to the confused look on your face. “Typically, they’ll only allow the top athletes to compete. It’s kind of superficial but most of the profits go towards charities.” Hoseok said. You were in awe, “I guess you learn something new everyday.” You said.
The game was about to begin until you noticed some familiar structures of people you recognized. You knew it.

Bangtan Academy (2/9) || BTS x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary:
Pairing: BTS x Reader
You went on the bus with Mark, you two sat in silence as you waited to get off your stop. Mark’s stop is before yours, so he pats your head waving you goodbye as he gets off. Mark always felt bad leaving you on the bus alone but he knew that you’d be strong enough to defend yourself. Well of course you did, your parents made you take self-defence since you were 4. You recently stopped going but your dad was a private instructor so he’d still make you practice.
As you stared outside the window, a sentimental song began playing on the radio, which reminded you of those cliche movies. You began pondering about if your family wasn’t rich, and you didn’t go to one of the most elite schools in the world. You always wondered what it was like to live a normal life. You wouldn’t have to worry about who you were dating but not like that mattered to you anyways, what you wore, how you needed act around certain people, or not always being looked down on from your parents because you let your brother become the next CEO of your family’s company. You didn’t want that life, yes it’s nice with all the money but you just felt you wanted a simple life.
As you looking out the window, Namjoon sat a few seats behind you. His stop is way after yours so he began to notice you in deep thought. Now with all this talk going on with you, he never realized how he’d never noticed you. Yes he is one of the most loved boys at school but it still took him awhile how he never acknowledged you. He knew your family, and their business. Most of the Bangtan boys’ families were all friends but he doesn’t understand how at all the gatherings, they’ve never been introduced to you. You’re the only girl within your siblings. You have three older brothers and you’re just the youngest. ‘Maybe you were daddy’s favourite girl, and he didn’t want you to be interested with childish boys.’ Namjoon thought but his teen hormonal mind went to the gutter after thinking the word ‘daddy’. As you were getting off the bus, he wondered many things. If you had a choice in who you marry, it was always known or rumoured that many of the youngest children of the richest elite families had no choice in marriage. He shook his head to attempt to get you off his mind and all the curiosity thoughts of you. He managed to get you off his mind by thinking about his own life. He already knew he wouldn’t

Bangtan Academy (1/9) || BTS x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What the series is based on
Disclaimer: This is just pure fiction, everyone’s ages are closer together and other stuff.
A/N: IM BACK FRIENDS!! Also happy 200 followers, I love everyone that’s still here 😂
Summary: You are a student at Bangtan Academy, and the “Bangtan” boys realize you’re the only girl that doesn’t swoon over them. So they bet on you.
Part 1 > Part 2 > Part 3 > Part 4 > Part 5 > Part 6 > Part 7 > Part 8 > Part 9
Pairing: BTS x Reader (You get to pick your ending later on)
You walked the floors of Bangtan Academy, it was a regular day. The clicks of your shoes echoed the halls. As you passed room 13, you heard the regular giggling from the girls who were being entertained by the ‘Bangtan Boys’. You rolled your eyes, you couldn’t understand how all the girls could gawk over them like they’re some type of Gods.
The oldest of the group by, Kim Seokjin his dad is the Chairman of Bangtan Academy’s School Board. That’s why if the group gets in trouble, they’re easily bailed out. The leader, Kim Namjoon had studied abroad so his overall marks are through the roof. The “Athlete”, Min Yoongi he plays point guard for the school team. The dancer, Jung Hoseok is to be considered the best dancer at Bangtan Academy. The Maknae line consists of Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and apparently the Golden Maknae himself Jeon Jungkook. You were in most of the Maknae line’s classes, which always made you annoyed when there was talking going on behind/beside you.
You swore to yourself, you’d never get invested with them because you saw how they treated their girl fans. The heart shaped boxes are usually seen in the garbage. All you wanted was not to get played by any of them.
You walked inside the classroom, and just got your supplies ready. After reading a few chapters of (your favourite book), you heard chuckling and giggling from the hallway so you hid your face in your book even more when the door creaked opened. You felt a tap on your shoulder, you looked up and saw Jungkook.
“(y/n)?” He asks looking into your eyes, you knew this trick already. Jungkook is going to say that you dropped something. Which most girls didn’t but since they are starstruck by him they usually lie and accept the whatever it was. You found out about this trick by your brother who’s in the class as Jin. This was their way to see if you liked them.
“Yes?” You asked looking up from your book. As expected, Jungkook presents you with a pen.
“I think you dropped this.” He said smiling at you.
You shake your head, “Sorry I think, you’re mistaken I don’t bring pens to math class.” You said which made him blush out of embarrassment. You heard and saw Jimin and Taehyung trying to hold in their laughter. He quickly walks back to his desk with the boys. He hits them to stop laughing.
After class you grab your stuff and head out the door. You felt some looks on your way out but you thought nothing of it.
At lunch, the Bangtan boys sat with each other as usual. You sat as far away from your brother because you’d rather not have other girls pretending to be a fake friend just to get to your brother. You sat with best friend, Yugyeom who was just a year above you.
“She didn’t fall for it!” Jungkook exclaimed to the boys, Jimin and Taehyung began laughing again.
“Maybe you aren’t so handsome as you think you are.” The oldest said breaking apart his chopsticks.
“I swear she’s the only girl who didn’t fall for it.” The youngest complained once more.
“Ooh! Hyung!” Jimin exclaimed, “Let’s try and get (y/n) to fall for us, the first one who she falls for first, the others will pay them.” He said.
“Isn’t that a bit harsh, Jimin?” Hoseok asked.
“When has anything we ever did been not harsh?”
“Touché.”
“Jimin, I just hope you know what you started.” Yoongi said. “And what is so special about the girl?” He asks.
“(y/n) is the most smartest girl at Bangtan, she even beat Namjoon-Hyung’s exam score this year!” Taehyung gloated.
“Wha?” Namjoon asked very confused.
“And she didn’t even study abroad!” Taehyung added. All the boys looked over to you, you were sitting across Yugyeom. You were laughing.
“Okay she’s pretty.” Jungkook shrugged.
“Yeah because you finally saw her face out of a book.” Jimin says which makes the others laugh.
“That’s why she’s probably so smart, she reads unlike you dumbasses.” Jin scolds the younger boys.
“How long will this bet be going on for?” Yoongi asked.
“I don’t know probably awhile.” Namjoon shrugged.
Yoongi and Jungkook sighed, “Do we really have to play this stupid game for some girl? I mean there’s other girls.” Jungkook asked.
“Well most of the guys in Yoongi’s class have been trying to court her.” Hoseok said.
“You guys, and your damn pride.” Jin muttered under his breath.
“And we’ll double the money, what was it before? It was like 43,500 won? Well now it’s 85,000.” Jimin said. “Now is that good?” He asked, and everyone nodded.
The first bell rang, and you waved goodbye to Yugyeom. You started to walk to class, Jin was the first one to notice this. He sprung up and went after you.
“Kim Seokjin?” You asked as he tapped you on the shoulder. He bowed, and gave you his signature smile.
“(y/n).” He said.
You were confused, why was the oldest member trying to catch up to you? “Seokjin-Oppa, is there something you need?” You asked. Although you did despise him and his group, you still had to respect him because he was older than you.
“Oh nothing, I just wanted to walk with you to your next class.” He said putting his hands in his pockets.
“No it’s okay.” You refused still holding your guard up, “My class is still a walk away, and you shouldn’t be late for your class.” You said stop walking. You bowed, “Thanks anyways.” You said walking a bit quicker than usual in hopes he wouldn’t follow you.
When you got into class, you guessed the news of you turning down Jin spread quickly because a few girls from your class began asking questions. “Hi (y/n), we heard Kim Seokjin-Oppa asked to walk you to class. Why did you refuse?” They asked starring at you. You just looked confused, and gave a silent sigh when the maknae line came through the door. “We don’t get how you can just turn him down so quick?” They said.
“Well he doesn’t have to walk me to class, I know where everything is, and I’ve been walking to class alone majority of the school year. So it’s fine.” You said shrugging and going to your desk.
“She turned down you and Jin-Hyung?” Jimin asked shocked.
“And he has the guts to say I’m not as handsome as I think.” Jungkook mumbled.
“Her guard is probably taller than the Wall of China. I wonder why she’s so secured?” Taehyung asks while looking outside.
“I don’t know but one of us will find out, once we find out more about her.” Jungkook shrugged.
~~
Once class is over, you walked to your brother’s class. You knew he’d still be there. You opened the door to find him talking to his friends. Just your luck Jin and Min Yoongi were there. Your brother’s friends, smiled.
“(y/n)!” Chen greeted you and pulled you into a hug.
“Can you not?” You whined.
“Xiumin, I don’t get how your sister can be so cute!” Sehun said while pinching your cheeks.
“Oppa~” You whined, “Can you please make them stop.” You asked.
“Sorry (y/n) nothing your brother can do, can stop us from thinking how cute you are.” Chen shrugged.
“Okay guys stop, I’m literally going to barf from you guys shamelessly flirting with my little sister in front of me.” Your brother said putting an elbow on your shoulder. When the boys went quiet, “Checkmate.” He said and smiled at you.
“Are you going to bus home with me or are you going to wait for the driver?” You asked.
“I’ll wait for the driver, I need to go buy something from the market.” He said, and you nodded.
“What about you three? Who’s busing?” You asked Sehun, Chen, and Mark.
“I can bus with you (y/n), if you want.” Mark said while putting his hands in his pockets.
“Wow cool guy.” Sehun snickered.
“Mark, I swear if you flirt with her on the bus, I’m not going to talk to you.” Your brother said annoyed.
“I promise I’ll try not to.” Mark winked. He looked at you, “C’mon (y/n).” He said having an arm out for you. You take it and walk with him. While this is was going on, Jin and Yoongi were observing everything.
“So she’s the one that they brag about.” Yoongi said as he grabbed his bag.
“I can see why, she’s a straight A student, she plays sports, and you have to admit, she’s pretty.” Jin said while sitting on his desk. “And it’s easy for them to get to know her because they’re friends with her brother.” He shrugged.
“You sound like Namjoon.” Yoongi said and Jin rolled his eyes. “I still can’t believe she rejected you.” He said smiling.
“Whatever, I didn’t confess to her or anything.” Jin said annoyed.
“I just can’t wait for this bet to be over.” Yoongi shrugged and they continued to walk on.

First Loved. || SG
A/N: I have wifi again so thank the heavens. Also this is based on ‘First Love’ by Suga/BTS so just in case you didn’t know. Also if you don’t like the ending, please read the author’s note at the bottom :)
Tumblr media
Summary: You haven’t seen Yoongi since your breakup, until you saw him. While you thought he looking elsewhere, you were all his eyes were able to look at.
Pairing: ExBoyfriend!Yoongi x Reader
Warnings: Angst
It’s been over a year since you and Yoongi have broken up, and decided to avoid all places that you and him have been to. It was difficult though due to the both of you being together since you were 14. You and him were always going to be each other’s first love. One night, your friend begged you to go out where Yoongi first laid his eyes on her. You were reluctant but agreed in the end. You looked your best as you usually did because you hoped to see Yoongi once more. You hoped that you’d be able to show him that you did deserve better.
Namjoon tells you will be fine, before walking inside. He opens the door as any gentleman would. You saw him, the man who broke you for a year stepping down from the stage, you and Namjoon sat down at the bar. You looked away and ordered yourself a drink.
While this was going on as you walked in and turned your back. Yoongi automatically knew it was you. Maybe because it was the way you walked or how your hair moved, whatever it was Yoongi knew it was you.
You also saw her, the girl who intruded your relationship with him and stole him away. She went on the stage because she aspired to become a singer meanwhile you were not. You were now 24-25 years old, just the same age as Yoongi. You were looking to settle down now, and you knew if you had dreams that were going to take awhile, might as well just stay single and unattached forever. Maybe this is why, Yoongi desired her in the first place. They were very similar but Yoongi always mentioned to you that he’d want to settle down with you. You guessed that was before your relationship was going downhill. The music began playing by the band and you took a shot because although the singing was okay, there was just a certain way she would sing. It pissed off and made Yoongi and you cringe. Yoongi always knew you were the better singer compared to her but his damn pride won’t let him admit it.
The music began playing, some type of swing music. The same ear creaking voice that some how attracted Yoongi began singing. You met her eyes, and she gave a short sweet smirk. While looking around, you found a brown piano that looked awfully familiar.
She wasn’t clueless, well to you as clueless as you were when you were dating Yoongi. She always noticed how Yoongi looked at you, and she hoped that he’d look at her that way. You would always be bothered when she’d talk and flirt with him shamelessly right in front of you. Now as you sit facing away from him, you realized it bothered you most when he’d flirt and compliment her right in front of your face.
You turned to take a quick glance at Yoongi, he was starring right at you. Of course she was quick to notice this, she began to sing louder to get his attention. He gave you that damn smile, and you couldn’t help it. You smiled back. This angered her, and of course she sang even louder. You now looked at her, and she was looking at Yoongi like he betrayed her. Which he probably did, like he did to you. You turn back around shaking your head because you didn’t want to get invested with Yoongi again. You sigh and had a drink. You looked over to Namjoon who was talking to a girl. Not wanting to disrupt him, you turned around to see Yoongi looking at her. After she’s done singing, you’re relieved that your ears aren’t going to bleed. You sigh, knowing that Yoongi will never have the guts to talk to you. You get up, and were going to wait for a cab.
Suddenly, Yoongi goes up the stage. He hurries to the microphone. “—Wait!” He exclaimed loudly and all eyes went on him. He inhales, “I wanna dedicate a song that I made for my first love. She’s here tonight.” He said and gestures towards you and with that people around you began to awe over him. You roll your eyes but listen. He goes to the piano, and sings ‘first love’.
“—Your keys like white jade would collect dust. I didn’t realize even then, when you were neglected. Your significance, wherever I may be, you were always there but I didn’t know that was the end. Don’t go like this, you say I may leave but don’t worry. You will be fine on your own. I remember when I first met you. You’ve grown so much. This is the end of our relationship.” He sang. You did actually say that when you two broke up. You were surprised he remembered.
~~~
You were sitting down at the dinner table. It’s about 12am-3am. Yoongi has been coming home late, you sat there when he came home trying to close the door quietly.
“Where were you?” You asked sitting at the dinner table just gazing at the food you still made for him but having your bags packed already is just that is all on your mind.
“With the guys.” He bluntly said. This was his usual excuse.
“That’s a lie and the both of us know it.” You said starring at the food you still made for him, that was cold and stale by now. “I called the boys already and they said you weren’t with them.” You said exposing his lie.
He quickly sat down trying to make you forgive him as usual did, “Oh my favourite!” He said started eating not wanting to look up at you.
“Don’t bother putting up this act Yoongi.” You said looking at him emotionless.
He stops what he’s doing and goes over to you, “What’s wrong baby?” He asks and tries to kiss you.
You stop him, “Don’t you dare to try to kiss me after you kissed another.” You shoved him away.
He began tearing up, “Baby...” he said.
“Stop it!” You yelled beginning to cry, “I know what has been going on Yoongi.” You said wiping the tears away. “It’s over.” You said holding a fist.
His eyes widen, “Baby no, I need you.” He said putting his hands around you.
You try to pull away, “You say that but you also want her.” You said finally escaping from his grasp. “You know, you can’t have both. Plus, I think you’ve already made your choice the past nights.” You look at him broken-hearted, “I’m leaving.” You said going into the bedroom.
“Don’t leave like this.” He said with tears rolling down his cheeks.
“I’m leaving but don’t worry. You will be fine on your own. I remember when I first met you. You’ve grown so much. So thank you for loving me as much the past years but also for falling out of love with me. This will be a big life lesson for me.” You said giving him the fakest smile you could. “This is the end of our relationship.” You gave him a sad smile and kissed his lips one last time and left. He didn’t try going after you because he knew, he lost you.
~~~
“I pushed you away and resented that I met you. But you were always by my side even though I didn’t say anything.” He sang keeping eye contact with you. You glanced over at her who glared at you. “So don’t you ever let go of my hand because I will never again let go of yours.” He sang which made your heartache even more.
Once the song finished, you headed out and saw her stopping Yoongi. You roll your eyes and wait outside. After attempting to call a cab. Yoongi comes out the door. “(Y/n).” He said relieved he caught you before you were able to leave. You just looked at him and look away. “Can we talk?” He asks.
“What is there to talk about?” You answered back not looking at him.
“Us!” He yelled.
“There is no more us.” You said crossing your arms.
“Please,” He looks into your eyes with plead, “can we talk at my place?” He asks. “—Then! I’ll drive you home or call you a cab.” He said.
You sighed, “Well what about her?” You asked.
“She doesn’t live with me.” He said.
“What?” You asked.
“—Can we just please talk?” He begged.
You sighed, “Okay fine.” You gave in.
On your way to your old house that you and Yoongi once shared. The car ride was silent except for the CD that was playing. It was a CD that you burned downloaded songs for Yoongi on your 4 year anniversary.
You arrived at the house, where it all ended. You exhaled as Yoongi opened the door.
As you stepped in, it seemed colder than usual. You put your hands on your arms to hug yourself.
“Cold huh?” Yoongi says as he goes over to the kitchen to make you to tea. “It hasn’t been the same without you around.” He said as you followed him.
You sat down, “Yoongi—“
“No you agreed we can talk so I’ll start.” He said stirring your tea. There’s awkward tension in the air with the silence in the room as he makes his tea.
After he sits down to face you, “So,” He started as you take a sip of your tea. “It’s been a year.” He said.
“Yeah.” You said looking away from his eye contact. “You made my tea the way I like it.” You said shocked.
“Of course, we’ve been together since we were 14 years old.” He said impatiently waiting for you to look at him.
“That doesn’t mean anything.” You said.
He scoffs at your remark, “You were my first love.” He said.
“First loved.” You corrected him.
“Who says I don’t love you still?” He asks.
“No one said but your actions did.” You said now looking at him with guilt in his eyes. “You know how bad it hurt?” You asked, “Just watching you fall in love with her?!” You raised your voice. “Or how every night you came home late with you thinking I didn’t know what was going on?” You asked, and inhaling to try to remain calm.
“I’m not going to make excuses for what I did. I knew it was wrong, I wanted to apologize because you did deserve better than how I treated you.” He said while you were nervously sipping your tea. “–But I’m not just going to pretend that I haven’t been through hell without you around. I know you felt it too.” He said looking down.
“What do you know?” You asked stubbornly.
“Well are you over me?” He asked looking at you.
“What does this have to do with anything?” You asked rolling your eyes.
“You need to tell me because I’m supposed to be on a plane tomorrow morning to leave for Seoul.” He said.
“If that’s so, then yes I’m over you.” You reluctantly said.
“I don’t believe you.” He told you seeing through you.
You scoff, “What do you even believe in nowadays?” You asked still holding up your guard.
“I believe in us.” He said looking for anything in your eyes.
“Then why did you give up on us?” You asked finally breaking down.
“Because I’m an idiot, I didn’t know how amazing you were and are. I took what I had for granted, and I only realized when I lost you. I promise if you give me another chance I’ll never let you go.” He said in tears on his knees begging you.
You tears increased, “Yoongi–“ You barely make out. “I just don’t want to get hurt again.” You cried.
I’ll stop begging if you disagree but if you give a second chance, I promise I will treasure it.” Yoongi said on his knees looking at you.
You hesitated, “Okay,” Yoongi exhaled out of relief, “—in one condition.” You said.
“Okay anything!” Yoongi said.
“We start out as friends and if you gain my trust again, we see what goes on from there.” You said your offer.
“Okay if that’s what it takes to get you back,” Yoongi said becoming serious, “Hi friend.” He said giving you his same gummy smile.

The Game of LoLve || jk x reader
A/n: I know Jungkook plays overwatch but I know more about League of Legends
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: After months of playing League of Legends with what you believed a stranger, you two finally decided to skype to meet face to face or well, screen to screen.
Pairing: Jungkook x Reader
Prompt: Gaming!au
It was funny how you and Jungkook started playing together. You were just bored, instead of playing with your usual group you decided to do a random match. You turned on your mic, and typed ‘mid’. At the time, the player jjk called ‘top’. So you thought you were okay. As you were playing everything was okay except that player kept dying.
“I need some assistance.” The player jjk said in the voice call.
You sighed quietly, and turned on your microphone. “Alright I’m on my way.” You said making your character on their way. When you came, you killed the enemy by charming them and helping the player jjk secure the kill.
“So what’s your real name jjk?” You asked.
“Jungkook, and yours is?” He asked.
“____.” You said fighting the enemies while Jungkook supported you.
“Shouldn’t you go back to mid?” He asks.
“It’s fine, I think you need more help.” You shrugged making, Jungkook blush out of embarrassment.
“Sorry I just started playing, I’m not really good.” He said shyly.
“It’s fine, we were all there right?” You chuckle while killing another enemy.
“Wow you’re really good! You’ve gotten more than 9 kills!” Jungkook exclaimed. "How did you get so good?"
“I guess I left you Jungshook.” You laugh at your own joke but he also laughs as well. "Anyway, I'm really not that good. You just caught me on a good day." You laugh
After you finished the match, Jungkook honoured you as teammate. When returning back to the lobby, you noticed Jungkook added you as a friend. You shrugged and added him back because you usually accepted everyone if they added you. You gradually became closer to Jungkook every time you two played.
One day after you’ve played with Jungkook over a year, while waiting to find a match, Jungkook asks, “_______?”
“Yeah?” you said while you scrolled through your phone.
“Do you have discord?” He asks.
“Yeah why what’s up?” You asked.
“I think it’d just be easier to talk through it.” He said.
“Okay, I’ll add you after.” You said.
After the match, the two of you add each other on the platform. Jungkook texted you his account username. You added him and he immediately accepted it.
Jjk: Hiii _____!
(username): hellooo
Jjk: ______, you think you want to video chat?
(username): sure!
You clicked on the video call option, and it began ringing. You were nervous because after talking/playing with Jungkook for a year. You still didn’t know what he actually looked like. He could be anyone, which made you extra nervous. When it said it was connecting, your heart began to beat quicker.
A face appeared on the screen, he was cute. Your eyes widen because you didn’t expect it, but he was just as surprised. “Uhm hi?” You said shyly but laughing out of nervousness. You noticed his mouth slightly opened.
He snaps out of it, and chuckles “Sorry I didn’t expect you to be this cute.” He said scratching the back of his head.
You blushed, “Well you’re not bad yourself.” You smile at him.
“Also happy one year of playing with each other!” He exclaims.
“Oh God,” You said under your breath “it’s been a year?” You asked.
“Yup that’s why I wanted to video call.” He said. “If it weren’t for you, I probably would’ve quit out of frustration and got carried to Diamond rank—And I wanted to see the girl behind the operation.” He said smiling.
You turned red again, “So Jungkook tell me about yourself.” You said wanting to hear.
“Uh well I’m 20 years old, I have 6 other roommates–“ He began until he got cut off by a male's voice.
“Ya! Jungkook!” A voice yelled.
“What?” He yelled back.
“Who are you talking to?” The voice asked.
“I’m just playing League!” Jungkook yelled.
“Why are you so obsessed with this game? Stop playing!” The voice yelled.
“I already said that I like to play games!” Jungkook responded back. He turned to you, “Sorry that’s my Hyung, Hoseok. I just didn’t want to tell him that I was talking to you because he’ll want to come in and be irritating.” He sighs and you just giggle.
“Is that the same guy who spoke in the microphone while we were playing?” You asked.
He just chuckles, “No that was Jimin and Jin-Hyung.” He said and you just nodded.
––––––
While you were playing a match with Jungkook, you heard a lot of noises, male voices to be specific.
“Is that (y/n)?” A voice asked while giggling.
“No.” Jungkook said annoyed.
“Let me see!” The voice exclaims, and suddenly you hear a slap. “Jungkook, Put the tab back!” the voice whines.
“Why?” You can hear the carelessness in Jungkook’s voice. "Also, I'm busyy!" Jungkook whines.
“I wanna talk to her!” The voice whines.
“I’m not even talking to her.” He said.
“Jin-Hyung!” The voice called.
“Yes?” A voice said.
“I’m sorry (y/n), I’m gonna mute.” Jungkook said.
––––––
“Well what about you? Tell me about yourself.” He mimicked you from earlier, you rolled your eyes and just smile.
“Okay, I’m 20 as well, I live by myself and I like playing League of Legends.” You laugh.
“Oh really?” Jungkook sarcastically exclaims, “Me too!”
“No way!” You laugh. "Who would've thought?"
“Yes way!” Jungkook said then hiding away shyly. Then, Jungkook becomes serious. “(Y/n)?” He asks.
“Yeah?” You said.
“What will it take for me to meet you in real life and take you on a date?” He asks curiously.
You started to think, you wanted to quickly meet Jungkook but you were more on the introverted side. “Hmm... Maybe if you can get more than kills than me in a game, kid.” You smirked.
“Okay that’s fair enough.” Jungkook said smiling then tilting his head.
Jungkook thought it’d be easy for him to get more kills than you in a game but he’d always fail. Every time he was leading, you’d get 1 or 2 kills at the very end of the game.
"_____! Just let me get more kills than you!" Jungkook whines while you laugh. "Don't you wanna go on a date with me?" He bribes making you giggle.
"I didn't say I don't want to but I told you our deal." You said while queueing up for another match.
While this was going on, you and Jungkook exchanged numbers finding out that you both lived in the same area. You and Jungkook called everyday, you even felt more comfortable talking to him on video call. The more you and him talked, the more the both of you were slowly falling for each other.
Jungkook was just someone you can always rely on, and after all this time, you two made time for each other so you could play with each other. Sometimes, you two didn't have to play games. You could even just enjoy each other's presence while being on a video call. You didn't know if you loved Jungkook just yet but you knew that he made you feel something special.
One day, you couldn’t wait anymore because a year passed and you just wanted to meet the damn boy. So you two played a match, and you didn’t try hard as you usually did. Jungkook didn’t realize he got more kills than you until the end. Jungkook was surprised and excited. So, Jungkook finally gave you the details and it was now in destiny’s hands.
You two met a small cute coffee shop in front of a flower shop on a sunny afternoon. You walked in and saw Jungkook. You blushed a red on your cheeks. As you walked over to him, your heart beat began beating faster with every step.
Finally, you sat down. “Hi.” You shyly said but smiling
“Hi.” Jungkook said, and grinned back.
When the two of you ordered your drinks, it got less awkward. You talked about all the memories you shared while playing, and the nights you would accidentally fall asleep on discord. Jungkook felt like he wanted something more than friends with you.
Towards the end, Jungkook felt off. “_____?” He asked looking into your eyes.
“Yeah?” You responded having eye contact with him.
He exhales, “So I’ve known you for a while now, and with you, I just feel like everything is right. It hard to explain but as I got close to you and met you, not (username) I don’t know why I felt so complete before.. Well actually it took some time and I realized it’s because I have feelings for you, _____. So will you give me a chance and try this whole dating thing?” He asked.
You hesitated because you were taken back, but you felt the same way. You smiled and nodded, “Yes Jungkook.” You said.
