Gunna complain about a really stupid ABO fanfic thing under the cut

Gunna start with saying I have nothing against ABO / omegaverse fics, I really don't. I'm kind of new to it because I don't seek it out actively. It's not exactly something I'm into but it's not *not* something I'm into - I love the dynamic of A character is SO HORNY IT HURTS and B character is SO attracted to A that it's animalistic/feral and there's this insatiable, primal need between them, i get a little iffy with the "made for each other" trope bit thats totally just a me thing. I think it's fun and neat and if I get uncomfortable with a fic I know how to leave without being mean ((because I'm not a monster and I'm not here to yuck someone's yum))

I ALSO understand that Halsin being a druid who can wildshape easily lends itself to ABO dynamics

WHAT I DONT GET

IS ASSIGNING HIM WOLFISH TRAITS

He is a BEAR not a WOLF. he EXPLICITLY says that wolves mate for life and that's not his style, he's much more like a bear ((bears are very promiscuous, during mating season they can and will court more than one mate - and they are known for biding their time waiting for a female to be receptive and then when they fuck they fuck VIGOUROUSLY and that's why they LITERALLY LOSE WEIGHT DURING MATING SEASON. They usually leave after mating season is done but some bear species do have favorites that they spend time with after mating season is over and favored mates they return to every season. Yes i did research, leave me alone.))

So I don't get why we're out here writing knotting fics and giving him wolf traits when he literally does not adhere to any kind of wolfy way of life.

I keep trying to read abo fics with halsin knotting but I always end up backing out bc it just doesn't feel right.

Maybe I'll write my OWN omegaverse with bear dynamics.

Basically this is my call-to-action for ABO writers to be a little more creative. Give me a tav going into heat and halsin carefully approaching and waiting for the right moment. Give me some fun bear/wolf dynamics. Give me a tav that craves to be knotted but halsin simply *cant* because it's just not in his nature but he fucks them so vigourously and so frequently and protects them from other mates so agressively that it satisfies them. Give me halsin courting a tav in heat and literally fighting and chasing off other characters because he's laying claim to his mate. Halsin who literally can't keep his hands off his mate and its almost distracting how often he needs to fuck because she just smells so GOOD to him while she's fertile. Let me see an omega getting absolutely POUNDED by this giant bear of a man trying to knock her up all while fighting off all the alphas that come at her.

"I'm an alpha I have a right to her" "the fuck you do, she likes me more" and he's just so fucking large and intimidating and protective.

O R get really fun with it - Astarion or another character is an Alpha and Halsin is just Bear and there's a threesome dynamic

My opinion to "desperate" artists and TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR ART

This is my art journey

6 years later...

If artists want support and followers, they should earn them by their own accomplishments and hard-work.

I hate it when they earn it from guilt-tripping others, being desperate and earn followers out of pity

You can never have a stable and healthy relationship with your followers that way, and you may get worse when you dont gain any interactions with them

Please stop doing this, and start growing your acc on your own. If you feel like your art doesnt appeal to others, start taking advice and study from other artists around you that you like. There are thousands of FREE resources on all platforms: Instagram, Youtube (recommended) , Pinterest (for reference) ,... And alot of separate websites you can find!

Trust me, hard work pays off

Its okay to feel like you dont improve at all, but thats not true, if you study and practice often (no need to do it everyday, it can be 2-4 days a week) you're already better than yourself yesterday

Compare your art to other artists has alot of benefits since you can see what to improve and see the progress. But dont do that too often, it'll turn to be an unhealthy obsession and in this world where there're always people better than you, you'll suffocate yourself forever. Thats a hard hit to reality but it's the truth. In this i recommend:

Find artists that you like and set them as your art goals, they can be artists with totally different artstyles, art is never something stable and its always good to try new things

From your art goals, start "taking" some of your favourite things about the artists and "artistically" add them to your own.

Tracing is another way to study privately for beginners, but i dont recommend doing this for long, it can stagnant your progress if you rely on it too much.

Unless its your style of choice, practice confidence in your streaks and lines, use your whole arm to draw (i know it can be boring at first, but everything you do now will have a rewarding result)

Stepping out of your comfort zone sometimes. You dont have to do this if you consider art as a hobby, but if youre serious or wanting your art to take a new step, i recommend expanding your art to many categories, like drawing backgrounds, hands, poses, anatomy, ect.

Study color theory, this is optional but i heavily recommend, this makes your art UPGRADE NO EXCEPTIONS

Here are some of my very basic tips, you've probably seen them everywhere and hear these thousands of times already, but if you're reading this and feel motivated, consider this the start of your journey! This is gonna be an exciting, might be tiring and frustrating, but memorable

Long Ramble about CCCC and my overall feelings on what the album means and such

Something I find important about CCCC is like.

The fact that all three of them are, in some way, trying.

Heart is emotion, he is prone to himself and being reactionary, in the moment. Prone to the past of learned behavior and trauma. Reactive and rapidly changing. He isn't going to make pure sense because he isn't based in logic or in societal ideals or views. He is an instinctual response to the environment and circumstances. His manipulation is not intentional. He has very little control of himself in the end. Its why Mind talks about claiming to relish entropy yet clearly needing help. But, Heart in earnest wants them to be okay and safe. He believes that Mind's control will drain the life from them. It will make things monotonous and the same. Too much order.

Mind in turn, believes Heart is manipulative with intention. He wants to control Soul or wants to just drag them all down with him into this depressive state. Mind is logic, he is the reasoning out of your emotional instinct. Your inner critique, and when unchecked, that inner critique goes from a guiding hand for your emotion to one that debates and bullies it. Invalidating its responses. Ultimately, though. Mind just believes he is helping. He is doing what must be done and telling the "hard truths" to Heart. And that Heart is being the petty child. Which- I mean. Sort of sure. But Mind is definitely fucking petty and childish. He's stubborn! Prideful! So ofc he is. Admitting you're wrong? No.. why would he EVER do that.. nuh uh.

Which is what makes Light so crucial. Mind asking Heart for help- but also. There is Soul.

Who while ambiguous in purpose, is mostly that background voice. Your inner narration. If Mind is Logic and Reason then Heart is Emotion and Instinct,, Soul is all that lives between it. And he is constantly silenced or spoken over or around. He does not get a word in edgewise until TSE. He may show up in the background occasionally but as much as Heart and Mind claim to want to keep him alive and help him, they also fail to actually acknowledge what he says.

Which is that they both are right and wrong. That this fighting is doing directly what they both feared it would. Soul is desperate by the end. He is angry and resentful because.. well. Self hatred due to intense self awareness and reflection is rather ig. Common. Im not a professional here but from personal experience, you get so tired of rehashing the same shit with yourself over and over. It all feels pointless.

The only out, by the end of it all to Soul is that if they cannot be Whole, whats the point? He is desperate. He does not want to die but he feels theres no other solution.

And. About Whole, Soul throughout the album seems to want that. At the beginning, to be Whole or Harmonious is to be mentally healthy, maybe even "normal" by society's standards. To be able to put a mask over your problems and be, again, "normal". It takes the entire album for Soul to realize that this:

1. isnt possible

And

2. There isn't anything evil or wrong with him for that.

Mental health is a struggle. But you are not evil and should not be othered because you struggle. You also do not need to be fixed for being a little different and people's opinion of you is not what matters most so long as you are happy (and not hurting others. Lol).

Thats what Two Wuv is entirely about as a song. Its a "fuck you. Fuck this! I thought I needed to be this! But I DON'T. Stop telling me who I am! How to be! I'm gonna be me!"

His entire arc is parallel to Heart and Mind's and is crucial in the culmination of becoming yourself again and accepting yourself.

But, as mental health will always be, this period of respite and self acceptance is not always forever. And as life continues or as you lapse back into a depressive episode.. you cannot help but forget what it is like when you're not this way- and hell! Vice versa too! Some people have this disconnect between the periods. Where the things from the depressive state seem dramatic or obtuse to you while you are doing better. And from the other end, you just want to be happy again.. but you get so lost in it all you can struggle to feel like you've ever been happy.

The album is about the human experience. It is about self-sabotage, mental illness, self-hatred and reflection and it is, maybe more importantly about self-acceptance and healing. Having a bit of mercy on yourself. Accepting that you are imperfect and that this is okay. And whatever flaws you may have that need to be mended or worked on, can be. And that who you are, for example, if you are queer, is okay. And no one has the right to take that identity from you! That the internalized ideas of how someone should be are not always correct or right. Not for you, at least. Stuff like that.

no bc im not usually involved w stuff like this and believe everyone should be held accountable for their actions no matter what. but seeing the way quackity has been seen as non human, any emotion or misstep he has being seen as manipulative or fake is like crazy. i don’t understand how people don’t see like wait, your actually just being racist you are not capable of seeing him as a person, why? it feels like he really could’ve handled this perfectly and there still would be this large crowd regarding him as a heartless fraud??

truly. i have closely observed this situation and listened to both sides and theres a lot of different opinions that can co exist and theres a lot of complexity to them.

one particular thing that has bothered me and made me uncomfortable is the projection of quackity as this scheming conniving figure. its gross. him having to explain that hes had previous experiences like this where he keeps any sort of bad situation with another creator private and that in turn has made him perceived as more manipulative is so sad. and this isnt surprising obviously since this is something ive witnessed. but overall i think with the internet nowadays theres a large mindset that everything needs to be public information and shared with the audience while they preach to solve things in the dms. people only care for a show and to watch creators destroy themselves. thats what twitter is and what a lot of people actively strive to do on that platform. specifically in regards to leak communities.

everyone should be aware enough that theyre allowed to criticize quackity and the decisions he’s made that people may not agree with. he acknowledges that himself. but to paint him as anything other then human and someone who has deeply fucked up reaches that level where it is racism. i dont think many people quite realize micro aggressions when they see them. so theres that. and then theres obviously the extremes of the situation when it came to the doxxing and death threats. people actively celebrating and saying it surely is an okay thing to spread because well he fucked up right? hypocrisy. this goes the same way for any admin or worker involved the situation that has been sent and told the same.

this entire situation has proved to me that nobody knows how to properly handle anything or how to properly react to anything and choosing instead to immediately jump to those extremes mentioned in the name of activism and moral superiority.

anyways support the admins. listen to their stories. criticize media you consume in a constructive manner. call out xenophobia and racism when you see it. and treat people like the humans they are. they will all make mistakes each side has made a mistake. yes this also applies to the people in the community. think for more than a second before you post anything for fucks sake.

There's a jikook blogger here and I don't want to mention her name but she is saying that jikook might agreed to be in an open relationship...hooking up different people when they both are apart from each other for long bcz of work and that is why that woman was in his house in that leaked video..and that also may be why nothing between jikook seems changed bcz obviously jimin knew about it that his boyfriend was hooking up with someone bcz he was busy with his work.

So i don't have any problem with people who are in an open relationship if that's what it suits them but personally...i can't ever handle being like this with the person i love so much..and let them have sex with anyone they want if I'm busy somewhere for work. Obviously I don't know jikook personally at all but The things they have both said about love for years...it's hard for me to swallow to even read something like this about them..even if it's just an assumption.

Yes it can be possible that they both were never in a relationship to begin with and hooking up with different people but to think that they were and are in a relationship for years but having sex with anyone they want just bcz they're busy somewhere but still love only one another...i just can't imagine both of them like that.

It is of my personal opinion that an open rlship is simply not in the books for Jikook. Not even something they would ever or have ever considered. In the past I've mentioned how I could see Jimin giving JK the option to go explore and see if Jimin is who/what he really wants (since Jimin was his first everything) but I believe thats as close as it came to involving other people on their rlship.

Other than that, I simply disagree with everyone who claims they're in an open rlship or have ever been with other people.

It simply doesn't line up with who they are as people and their possessive/jealous behaviour over the years.

Tumblr socio-political observation time

Identifying with fandoms and movements and brands to validate yourself has led to a society where your interests define you and your character instead of your character defining you and your interests and I think as a whole that's why performative activism is so rampant

(and likewise it's probably why people are so protective of the things that bring them a sense of self and why it's so important those things remain politically neutral and separate from politics but that's another post)

I dont necessarily think it's a Bad as in something that makes you evil but it is bad in that we now have a lot of people doing things in good faith that some are doing in bad faith and all these people are being painted the same because as a whole we arent critically engaging with ideas anymore

As a millennial I know am very much responsible for creating that climate. I think a lot of us grew up thinking that we could shame people into being "good" the same way that we were shamed growing up anytime we had an opinion that differed from our bigoted genx & boomer parents.

It manifested in a lot of ways but one of the prominent examples that most of us will remember is doxxing. Now I want to be clear that I never did this myself but doxxing, call out posts, block lists, etc were everywhere from I wanna say about 2007 to 2017 when I'd say it's status as a common social behavior started to be frowned upon and ineffective.

We were trying to hold people accountable with those actions.

I think that very much backfired. Bigots just got better at hiding and they learned to co-opt our language and mental health terms to gaslight us when we did call them out until those words became meaningless to use. It's simple to not appear bigoted now. Just don't share anything from known bigoted brands or companies and don't follow anyone problematic. Easy.

Cuz those define you and your character, right? Isn't that why y'all still put "supports x" as reasons for your own call-out posts? That's what validates or voids your good person card. At least, thats what everyone made it seem like a decade ago.

The millennial failure was how superficial it all was. We weren't dismantling anything. We were shaming support of x, y, & z as a way of shaming bigots and racist comments and calling them out, but we weren't actually learning to recognize or dismantle racism itself and that's how 10+ years later most of us are watching our kids deal with the same shit we did except now they're also struggling with critical thinking skills inside and outside the classroom.

I think a lot of millennials mixed up righteous anger with doing what's right. Thinking that because we were angry about bigotry and taking it out on bigots that meant we couldn't be bigots. I mean everyone is a little bigoted but not like Bigots™ are bigots, you know?

And then we refused to put ourselves under that microscope or think about that any further. We stopped thinking about a lot of things, I think. We started accepting that we would be told what was okay to believe in or say and I think a LOT of millennials esp white millenials still wait for someone else, especially a Black person to speak on something so they can see the "right" side they're supposed to take.

Someone please learn something from this. This is still very much racist and avoiding the issue is still very much enabling white supremacy.

It will only go away if it's directly addressed.

So I'd like to submit a formal request to bring back one good thing from back then. White responsibility for white supremacy.

Some of us may remember some posts that said if anyone should be responsible for engaging with white supremacists and helping them break down their beliefs it'd be white ppl ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ that its dangerous work for anyone else to do (for obvious reasons) and besides that white supremacists won't listen to anyone else. And allies did.

Bring that back.

The defensive white retaliation to this idea is seen on any mutual aid post in comments like "fuck your emotional labor, I don't owe you anything" or "idgaf if youre black/disabled/gay/whatever I don't owe you shit." So for the people getting ready to type something similar in my notes: This is a white supremacist defense mechanism that reinforces BIPOC isolation through individualism without seeming malicious on the surface. We all owe each other something tho; it's how a community operates and how humanity has survived for so long. Don't fall for this line of thinking and don't bring that nonsense to me.

White supremacy won't go away on its own and white supremacists sure as hell won't go away by letting them fester behind block lists until they're old enough to run for senator so if you can handle this task then respectfully, do it.

"but white supremacists are a waste of time to talk to" yeah for those of us who they'd rather see dead.

The labor and time it takes to make a white supremacist see you as a human who says words worth listening to so that you can then have a good faith conversation about politics is not WORTH the effort and risk to safety for the people who they hate. Especially not if we're doing it and getting death threats 9x out of 10 or they just wanted us to waste our time and exhaust us out of being effective

So if you are not included in the list of people that white supremacists want dead then it is worth your time and in fact is arguably one of the most productive ways to spend your time.

Serious question, but how do you think Andrew being taller-tall would affect plot and in what way. I always have hard time seeing him as this steady image of safety mainly because of his size.

I am an Andrew lover first and foremost so I accept him in every shape and size he may come in xd

Okay, but seriously now. I think him being taller would've definitely altered some points of the plot. The first thing that comes to mind is his relationship with Neil. Neil from the get-go makes us aware that due to his father's abuse, he is scared of not only older but taller men. They read as a threat. If Andrew was a big guy and had not the puppy dog personality of Matt, Neil would probably have a much harder time trusting him or opening up to him. Their relationship might've gone differently. All of Andrew's actions would've been interpreted with distrust, as they are anyway at the start, but the root would be in a much deeper fear.

I also think that's crucial for Andrews character. He is, as you said, seen by us as the image of safety - but that's Neil's opinion. that's how he sees him. Most people look down on him, only those who are keenly aware danger is not always about brute strenght don't make fun of the red flag he comes waving around in every situation. Neil or Riko aren't tall either, so they know what kind of things he can still be capable of without the proper moral limitations. Kevin, Jean and Renee will know that to, due to their experiences.

Still, most people don't see him as a threat, or as strong, the size is a point of ridicule but also a point of tactical advantage for him. If they don't take you seriously they don't see you coming for them, do they? Add the label of "psychotic" which is also thrown around in contempt, on the edge if being a slur by some characters and there you go. He's not seen as strong, he's seen as a train running of the tracks, about to crash in a nearby town.

There are only a few that know better, as it usually is in life, which, proper advantage. I would say the only reason Andrew was on parole with the requirement for medication after he almost killed those 4 guys who attacked Nicky before the first book happens - instead of being locked up for it instead - was due to his size. If he was a big guy he would be treated much more harshly, especially with his previous criminal record.

Another thing this point brings up is how I read a couple posts in the past, where people thought it improbable that Drake managed to get Andrew concussed and at his mercy so easily in the Thangsgiving scene, since Andrew is supposed to be so strong. (This isn't criticism, im just giving my own outview)

Be that as it may, size does matter. Andrew is strong and dangerous for many, and he could best probably most of the people reading this in a fight no sweat. But you know what's the reason for that? He's prepared. He actually knows how to fight. There are scenes in canon and ec If im not mistaken, that bring it up. I've been trained in martial arts since I was 4 years old (on G-d no cap) and I can, and did, manage to take down many guys twice my size and strenght because of that - but that's because I was smarter, or quicker, or my technique and endurance was better. Andrew spars, Andrew has training while most people don't. Just because a guy is twice his size doesn't mean he actually knows how to use his body weight to land a solid punch, doesn't mean he has the instinct and proper form to block a fist coming at his side thats gonna push all air out of his lungs. So yeah, against people less trained than him, he has a chance.

Tw: discussion of the thanksgiving scene, psychological trauma, ambush situations.

But Drake is a marine. He has extensive training, worse - he has the tactical advantage of surprising him, and worst of all - the force of trauma that comes with being suddenly attacked by one of your worst fkn horrors. It's a ambush and he has every single ace up his sleeve. I've been in a situation like that once, so I can imagine the complete and utter short-circuit Andrew's brain must have gone in in those precious seconds that would give him an even chance against Drake. But then, Drake is as much a physical as psychological horror, and it's no wonder the fear that brings make Andrew spiral into dissociation as a coping mechanism.

End of the triggering stuff!

In the end, though, safety in my opinion is about more than physical strenght. Sometimes it's just having someone by your side even if there's no chance of making it to the other side. That type of support can make anyone keep going. And I think that more than anything else is what Neil sees him as. He is, to make it cliché, the lighthouse bringing him to the safety of shore in a midnight storm. (I will shut up now bcs the fever must be getting worse if im saying shit like this).

"so y/n your new song is at the top of the charts!" the interviewer fred or whatever his name was said, i honestly couldnt care to remember his name. "yeah. im so greatful for everyone who listens to my songs i wouldn't be here without all of you!" i replied directing the last part towards the audience in front of me. they all cheered in response and i smiled a bit, loving the attention and thankful for the fans. "awww, thats so sweet! so we need to know, is there any new songs in the making?" he asked me really prominently on the need part. "welllllll" i drug out my word trying to thing of a good response. i get really awkward and anxious around huge crowds, kind of a bad thing for a pop star but. "i may be working on a new song, look out for teasers on my instagram." im so excited for the new song to release its definitely gonna be one of my best songs yet "okay we'll make sure to check!" he glanced down at his watch, i guess the interview was finally over thank goodness. "well, y/n. looks like our interview is sadly over, it was great having you thanks so much for coming" he said "no, thank you! this was great-" i stood from the comfy sofa i was on "and thank you all for coming!" as i said that the crowd went crazy, mount rageons screaming all over the place. it was kind of overwhelming so i probably walked faster than i needed to off stage, as i got backstage i blew out a sigh of relief, thankful for the opportunity to spread my music but also thankful it was over.

looking around i see so many different singers, some well known, some not as much and probably werent even invited in the first place. as my eyes scan the crowd of celebrities, looking for my friend, f/n, they land on no other than veneer himself, standing with my mortal enemy, velvet. the green haired twins were my competition and i had to beat them. i honestly didnt mind veneer too much, he seemed like a nice guy. velvet on the other hand, i had a totally different opinion on. ever since she basically said my music sucked in an interview of hers, and no i don't just watch all her interviews(yes you do dont lie), i havent liked her, thats an understatement. i cannot STAND velvet.

as i was in my own little word of dislike towards the prettier twin, i didnt notice someone standing right in front of me. i looked up expecting the brown caring eyes of f/n, only to be met with cold blue eyes. i sharply inhaled, to be honest scared out of my mind "y/n!" "what are you doing here?!" the green haired girl shriecked, "i was... invited..?" i replied in a hushed tone, not being able to find my voice. "well you shouldnt of been, your music sucks, and overall you dont deserve any award." she replied, flipping her hair asif i wasnt even there? "okay... well my song on top of the months best pop song chart says otherwise" i said turning around and walking away before she could hear the last part of that, she had really pretty eyes..

im going absolutely insane, why did i have to be seated RIGHT NEXT TO VELVET. its like torture, i could feel her eyes on me for the whole 10 minutes it took to introduce everyone, it was awful, but sort of nice in a way.

"andddd the award goes to-" his eyes widened as he read the slip of paper with the award winners name on it "velvet and veneer-" he was interrupted once again only this time not by himself, but by the crowd behind him going crazy "wait!" he said and they all quieted down just enough to hear him, i looked beside me and velvets smile dropped hearing him say that "AND y/n y/ln!" the crowd went even louder this time, i gasped hearing my name "well dont just sit here come get the award..s?" all three of us walked torwards him, i looked to my left towards velvet and she actually smiled at me, and not even a condescending one! we both took the awards, as we walked back to our seats, velvets arm brushed against mine, i got so flustered i had to turn away so she didnt see me blushing. i dont know why i was acting so weird i hated her... right? "congratulations to the winners of this months most amazing pop stars!!" the crowd hadnt stopped yelling yet, i was fidgeting uncomfortably in my seat, picking at my hands, feeling a panic attack coming along, when suddenly i felt a hand on top of my own, locking fingers with me. i was so shocked i didnt even wanna look because i knew the amazingly pink painted nailed hands belonged to.... velvet.

she had held my hand the rest of the show, which in reality was about 10 minutes but felt like hours with her hand in mine, her hands were so soft.

(time skip to like after the show but like not left yet bc thats so unsexy an doesnt fit my amazing plot)

i was standing around the desert table talking to f/n, well it was really him talking about how much i deserved the award and how great my music is. he really knows how to make someone feel special. i looked around for velvet spotting her talking to her brother, i really wanted to speak to her, my "hatred" for her had turned to love in less than 3 hours.

"yeah you were obviously winning the awar-" f/n was cut off mid sentence by the green haired girl that i couldnt get out of my mind "hey y/n can i talk to you?" she asked me, her cold demeanor still up but i felt like there was something under her coldness, i followed her after muttering a quick "sorry" in f/n's direction.

we finally got to a deserted hallway when she finally spoke "are you okay?" she asked, cold demeanor slipping as soon as we were alone "y-yeah why wouldnt i be?" i asked stumbling over my words abit because of the close proximity between us..

her stuttering was kinda cute. "because you seemed like you were gonna pass out, babe" i couldn't catch myself before the pet name slipped out, i guess its out there that i dont reslly hate y/n now. i guess i just didnt like the idea of not being on top, but now that we're both on top its kinda nice. "oh yeah that..." she trailed off, blushing a bit, either from embarrassment or the pet name, probably the latter if we're being honest. hair: okay so for hair I wouldn't wash my hair everyday because it can strip your hair of its natural oils.. I highly recommend hair masks. they are absolutely amazing .. expecially the natural ones !! you can always look on Pinterest for recipes on what you are trying to fix and they almost always work or help.

(for example- hair mask for split ends)

now I live by this.. silk pillow cases.. they are amazing and super beneficial to the skin and hair so are scalp scrubbers!! scalp scrubbers help get rid of dandruff and build up. AND even if you don't have dandruff or buildup they can help get silky straight hair !!

makeup: if you are looking to switch up your makeup routine or try something new don't be scared !! try something new on the weekend to see if you like it first!

if you struggle with eyeliner don't give up! use an angled brush and brown eyeshadow instead of liquid eyeliner.. it is so much easier to use and saves so much time.

lips are important girl ! you want your lips to stand out so find your own lip combo that suits u!! aquaphor or Vaseline help tons with blending out your lip liner.

my opinion but I think everybody looks good with blush on their nose and a little tiny bit of highlighter. it tops the look off and it doesn't leave your nose looking so dull. Also if you havent you should try layering mascaras ! putting on more than one mascara can create a fuller and prettier look. Always remember that makeup is to enhance your features not cover them.. your unique features are what makes you, you !

pinterest is the perfect place to look for makeup inspo.. try something new you might like it <33

skincare: everybodys skin is different.. so never follow just anybody's skincare routine because they have a different skin type than u. what works on their skin might not work on yours.. so be careful what you use and do your research before anything.

Natural ingredients are the best thing for your skin. they are packed with good oils that feed your skin into looking healthy and glowy !

if u want a sharp jawline or to reduce swelling in your face get a gua sha! or you could look up on Pinterest face massages that help with a better jawline they work almost the same. so you want to find a essential oil that targets what you are wanting to fix.

CW: Spoilers, but at this point, they aren't new. This isn't really headcanons or a story, just my thoughts on it. Depictions of toxic relationships.

AN: Okay. hear me out here- HEAR ME OUT. It's always Shigadabi this, Hotwings that, which yes. They are elite. They are delicious. But there's a whole market being missed on Shigahawks. Dusty feathers if you will. All I know is I want to be between them and no one is letting me without letting Dabi in too.

☾ It doesn't matter what side of the war you're on. Not anymore. When entangled with a hero bred from a society crumbling beneath the weight of their owns sins of the very idea of heroism and the villain aiming to destroy it all with a simply touch of his fingers and leave it in smokey ruins, you don't get an opinion.

☾ Maybe you do, but it's biased. Hawks wants to preach that he's a hero, he's one of the good guys, but Keigo can't even believe that himself.

☾ How can he when he has the blood of someone who saw him as an ally still warm on his palms, seeping through his gloves and tainting his very soul. The one still flickering with the hope he had as a child.

☾ Hawks and Keigo are such interesting characters. I say 'and' because I personally view them as two different entities. Not in a split personality way, not, but as in Hawks is a mask that Keigo wears to protect his fragile little heart so no one can touch it. And if we chose to delve into his entire character, he's full of so much gray morality, truly I could write an essay on him and his entire motivations and how he's so much more than what the fandom devolves him too.

☾ Shigaraki Tomura on the other end of the spectrum is an individual so tainted and rocked by a past soaked in trauma thats never been addressed in a proper way that he's blind to positions that even slightly challenge his own. His rivalry with Stain back in season one (two? Idk it's been awhile.) set his character, and thus development, up in the way that told the audience he didn't like challenges to his authority in any way. The following fight against Overhaul confirmed this. There's a difference between the way he was characterized as childish, which he is, and the way his reactions played out to these challenges. With Overhaul, this entire thing showed that above all else, Shigaraki is strategic. He's incredibly intelligent when it comes to battle IQ and war fronts and has proven it. (Not with the USJ incident, but liken that to starting a game. You never know how to play first round, but play around a bit and learn the controls a bit better and you get better.)

☾ Now, why do I say all of this in a post about a threesome with crust one and two?

☾ It's important to know why I find this dynamic so interesting because these two as individual characters are interesting, but look at their parallels.

☾ We have two children, surrounded by broken homes, that need a way out. Their quirks give them that ability, but at what cost? The cost of gathering the attention of adults who know right from wrong, taking them in and indoctrinating them in all the wrong things while encouraging enforcing propaganda about ideologies that directly contradicted what they were preaching.

☾ Neither side is truthfully right, argue with the wall about that (I'm not saying they're justified in how they're handling the war, do not get me wrong about that), but Keigo and Tomura will be damned before giving up their spot in the war, and that is something so fun to play with.

☾ Alright, back to the fun stuff you clicked read more for.

☾ Your opinion? Doesn't matter. In fact, I would avoid that topic entirely between them. Hawks is willing to kill for what he believes in, may Jin rest in peace, but so is Shigaraki evidently.

☾ Keigo and Tomura, however, are willing to set aside their ideologies.

☾ Do not get the idea that this is a healthy relationship by any means. No. I do not believe that even in his darkest depths Shigaraki is capable of anything moderately healthy. In the same vein, I don't think Hawks is either. It's not feasible with their lifestyles, it's not feasible with their missions, it's not feasible with their characters.

☾ Shigaraki is infamously territorial and possessive. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. He wants what he claims is his, and he wants it now. He has the power to do so, he has the will, he will get what he wants.

☾ The only way I can see this happening is this: Hawks takes up a secret lover, how this happens is hard to say- pick your poison, I personally love them being a villain playing undercover hero and getting close, but that's me- and Shigaraki catches wind of this. Let's say we run with that idea, of the sweetheart being a villain of their own right, then they aren't affiliated with the league. Or maybe they are, I don't know. But Hawks and his villain sweetheart are running around, the former believing this is a villain trying to make a change and Keigo wants to help them, if a bit weary.

☾ And Shigaraki notices. Nothing big like the number two playing around with a villain goes on in the underground without him knowing. So he knows, and he doesn't know what the villain sweetheart is going after, but he wants in. He doesn't want anything opposing his rise to power, especially not some half-baked jack-off that thinks Hawks will save them.

☾ But then he meets them and maybe they aren't as bad as he hastily decided. He still doesn't like them, but he isn't going to dust them right away. They chat. Maybe they're threatened to fall under the League, or maybe they're willing to team up in exchange for something. Drugs, money, fire power, hard to say.

☾ But villain sweetheart refuses to give this up. Dabi fucked up with Hawks, he pulled the trigger pin far too early. But them? They have it locked down. Hawks is learning. It's subliminal, it's conditioning, it's something so small that Hawks only picks up on it when something in his routine changes to accommodate and by then it's too late.

☾ I think Hawks is honestly too smart for anything big, honestly he's probably too smart for any sort of manipulation.

☾ For the most part.

☾ Oh you thought I'd leave it at that? No. Think about the Dabi situation. He's down, he's vulnerable, he's been outed and now he's hated by the country. Hawks is dead. Keigo is yearning for something to grasp onto, to hold that won't crumble between his fingers like his hero career currently is.

☾ Now is the moment to strike. You have villain sweetheart offering up information about a mafia group they don't like, giving their information the benefit of the doubt and giving them the title of 'useable'. Not trustworthy, but the heroes take their plea for redemption with some merit.

☾ And Keigo clings to them the moment they offer any sort of apology, fake or not, for what happened, because it's an acknowledgement that he was wronged in some way shape or form.

☾ He's weary of being hurt again, but should villain sweetheart capitalize on this? Work their way deep into his shuddering and quivering heart and take post there? Manipulate the situation so that his focus shifts from hero politics to them?

☾ And then they team with Shigaraki?

☾ Keigo, not Hawks (Hawks is dead. He will remain that way. Keigo is running the show even if he's running it off a cliff), can be considered a guard dog. He's not trusted, fuck no, not at all, but he's defense. He's not trusted as offense, but canon fodder? Absolutely.

☾ If his villain sweetheart needs him, he's there.

☾ Shigaraki isn't happy, but he's too interested in villain sweetheart to let go. So what's the obvious solution?

☾ There isn't a good one. Hawks is, at this point, enamored in a relationship so dependent it's hilarious. He can't let go and he can't be alone, not again. He's done it as a child, he's done it as a hero, and he's hated it. he can't be alone. He can't, he can't, he can't.

☾ But there's a new toy in the toybox, a new piece on the board, and Shigaraki wants it. He needs it, no matter how useless it'll turn out to be. It's a piece the other side doesn't have. An uncontrolled, unpredictable, undocumented variable.

☾ To a degree, he knows what the heroes will do. He knows him and Deku will fight. He knows that. They, admittedly, know he'll do whatever it takes. They know he's going after their foundation built off of All Might and anything, especially Deku, to take it down and he's willing to take quirks to do so.

☾ But this new piece? No one knows what they want. They don't know who they're going after. They don't know what is driving them. And that, in a war, is dangerous. It can make or break either side.

☾ And Tomura Shigaraki wants them.

☾ Keigo has been proven as a non-threat to him. He's not dangerous anymore. He's been disarmed once, he has a blatant weakness to which they can exploit. So if he wants to cling to this variable then so be it. It's not on his radar.

☾ Anything Hawks can do to him, he can combat with his own quirk. He's not worried.

☾ Keigo is terrified. His quirk? We need to be so real. It's cool, yes, helpful, absolutely, but in the grand scheme? Not that combat oriented. He can't beat any of the big bad villain players unless their own quirk isn't combat based. Like Twice. Toga, I feel they are pretty evenly matched and will come down to something like swordsmanship and training. Dabi and Shigaraki? Not a chance. I hate to say it, I'm a Hawks baby fr, but being a Hawks person means I can admit he's only all that and a bag of chips because the commission pushed his image to be that.

☾ Anyway, Keigo? Terrified of losing his sweetheart. He's following them no matter what just trying to garner where they want to take this and how.

☾ So, where are we now?

☾ Keigo, with his hero persona long dead, is clinging to a villain who's using this to their advantage all while said villain is behind the scenes, working with one of the biggest players on the board currently. Said big player thinks this new piece is little more than a morsel of advantage over the other side, but this new piece has taken what is essential a bishop or knight (a piece that you never really think about until you're pinned by them) from the other side and converted them.

☾ Shigaraki is willing to ignore Hawks, but Keigo isn't willing to do the same. It's too risky for him, so he's right back where he swore he'd never go again into the lion's den.

☾ So it's a stalemate. Shigaraki isn't willing to let go, but neither is Keigo.

☾ It's a dynamic that is endlessly interesting to me and something I feel the fandom can explore. Dabi adds spice, but it's been beaten in every way with Shigaraki and Hawks and all three together. But he's got his share, Dabi's kicked to the curb for now. Let's explore these two as one pairing, because their dynamics are endlessly interesting with their parallels and their characters.

☾ I'm getting rambly so I'll end it there. I'm sure I'll write so much more about what I'm dubbing dusty feathers because I love them so much individually and can only imagine them as a pair.

• he's aware, as far as he's aware of himself as well. when someone talks about their happy family and their similarities of what their father does, you don't have anything to say, just sat there listening at the very end

• hes wanted to ask for quite some time but has no idea how to without it being too straightforward, sure it'd be a lot more simpler if he just spews the words out but sometimes that can come across too pushy or maybe mean which is far from the energy that he wants to create, even though if asked the energy would still be quite low

• but one day when the both of you were alone and in comfortable silence, that's when he opened his mouth to mention a 'little something' about his home life, "don't exactly want to head home yet, too damn miserable there" he wasn't going to mention much or go into detail, but he knew that if he mentioned atleast something small like that then you'd follow suit,

• the conversation about home life would be different between you and Kazutora, rather than with anyone else when they smile at the thought of their parent/s or think 'aww' at a happy family in a restaurant. because what actually goes in the both of your minds when you see a happy family is dread and jealousy that that's not how you were brought up.

• meaning that both of you can understand each other without shame or having the need to lie, sure not everything will be said but that's okay because trust is a long term investment that can either work out great or turn south very quickly

• he loves to listen to you speak about it though, oddly enough there's a type of comfort about someone mentioning their bad experiences. it's like he can already see your picture without having to say much

• if you were to make a small joke about it in hopes of lightening the mood hed be conflicted a little but after a small while he'd crack a small side smile as he's listening to the rest of it, he actually quite likes the humour you bring

• he'd listen carefully though, sometimes repeat your words in his head to really remember it and won't ever cut your words, if he has a question he won't ask until your finished talking or if he finds the question to be too personal, because he knows that if he were to be asked a too insensitive question he'd wouldn't be able to answer nor hold his annoyance in check

• he'd try and be laid back and act like it's normal, he's aware that half of the time it's not normal to be traumatised in any sort of way but he'd try and not be too expressive in the moment,

• unless if something is mentioned that causes his heart to speed up and his blood to boil out of anger and pity. because what happened to you, you didn't deserve at all and instead you should be held onto and apologized about everything that you went through

• he'd gently hold onto the information that you have mentioned but won't necessarily do much about it, whenever he'd next see you for a few times he'd look back on this conversation but that doesn't change his total view or opinion about you, your still 'you' to him and nothing has changed, if anything he just understands you a whole lot more than before, and thats refreshing.

Hello!! Don’t know if you already have a post about this but I was thinking about it and wanted to know your opinion (its always so factual and clear I enjoy it thoroughly)

Okay so I think Elain and Lucien are not Light & Light, I may be mistaken but some people seem to think thats the reason why they would be boring or something. I do believe out of the many Elucien symbolisms (Fox and fawn, sun and flowers) I don’t see Elain as the “light” itself (dont know if there is more canon associating her as light aside from Feyre’s painting idea of Azriel and her).

I feel like SJM spent more time making Elain seek the sun and light than her being that. I do like that her color scheme during ACOSF has been amethyst and lavender, a color maybe associated with the sunset, and obviously flowers.

All this to say that’s one of the reasons why I’m not convinced with the Light and shadow aesthetic E/riels want to assign her to. I don’t think Elain would be light with Azriel, (as he described the necklace needing light to shine I do think that was probably a symbol of her maybe?) I do think the light and shadow aesthetic is a lot more prominent in gwynriel when Gwyn is continually associated with colors, and glowing etc.

Let me know what you think! I believe this is so interesting.

It's so odd that people would consider a Light / Light aesthetic boring when Feyre / Rhys and Cassian / Nesta are of a similar aesthetic. Feyre might glow because of Helion's light but she herself claims she couldn't be with someone like Tarquin because of the darkness in her. Just as Rhys has a matching darkness.

Cassian and Nesta share the Lord of Bloodshed / Lady of Death warrior aesthetic, also dark and dark like Feysand.

Aelin and Rowan are the Assassin turned Queen and Warrior Prince.

In comparison, Chaol and Yrene had a bit of a light and light thing going on. Yrene had the light of a healer and Chaol had the whole Captain America good boy vibe, the "I'm trying to do right for my kingdom by fulfilling my soldiers duty", while being bothered by how dark Aelin could be at times because her work fell outside that of the typical combat. Yes he made mistakes and had prejudices against magic that he needed to overcome but there are very obvious personality differences between Aelin and Yrene and and he and Rowan.

SJM's aesthetics aren't an opposites kind of thing. Yes, she loves the imagery of "light" and dark like Stars in the Night Sky but those two things are still complimentary to one another. Her imagery lends itself to things like moonlight and shadows (Gwynriel cough cough), warrior who has walked alongside death and Nesta as death, his blade, NOT the blooming life and light of Spring (Elain) with the darkness and shadows and death of the NC (Az).

As far as Elain there are mentions of her having a light aesthetic as well as that of optimism and hope.

She had always been so full of light Elain had always been gentle and sweet - and I had considered it a different sort of strength. A better strength. To look at the hardness of the world and choose, over and over, to be kind. "She had looked at that cottage with hope. I had looked at it with nothing but hatred. And I knew which one of us had been stronger." Her sister turned toward her, glowing with health (wearing a lilac gown) She glowed with good health (wearing amethyst). Her sisters delicate scent of jasmine and honey lingered / like a promise of spring / a sparkling river. "the lovely fawn, blooming spring vibrant behind her. Standing before Death, shadows and terrors lurking over his shoulder. Light and dark." "Instead I spent most of my time with Elain in her little garden. / She had come alive here and her joy was infectious." (Elain in nature)

Elain is full of light, kind, full of hope, glowing when in certain situations. I think the reason we haven't seen much light from Elain is because of where she's at and how where she's at often absorbs that light from her.

Something E/riels fail to acknowledge, that the things associated with the Night Court take away from Elain's light.

"Light and dark, the space between their bodies a blend of the two. The only bridge of connection….that knife." "Elain in black was ridiculous." "The color of her long-sleeved modest gown leeched the brightness from her face." "But wearing black, no matter how much she claimed to be part of this court….it sucked the life from her." Her gaze shifted to the carved wooden rose she'd placed upon the mantel, half-hidden in shadows. "the brutal, beautiful armor so at odds with the lovely garden. And my sister sitting within it."

Elain retains some of her light no matter what but it's still subdued. Yes she's found some joy in the Night Court but that is because that's who she is, something Nesta confirms "had ALWAYS come easy to Elain. Had always made Elain special."

And we can tell that light is diminished because of the constant mentions of Elain choosing, while in the Night Court, to remain by the sunniest of windows, to her commenting how she needs sunshine, how darkness is not something she prefers.

"The suite was filled with sunlight. Every curtain shoved back as far as it could go, to let in as much sun as possible. As if any bit of darkness was abhorrent. As if to chase it away. And seated in a small chair before the sunniest of the windows, her back to us, was Elain."

"Still staring at the window, but she was out of her room."

"Sunlight on gold caught her eye - and Elain slowly turned from her vigil at the window."

"Elain stood at the wall of windows."

"Elain politely refused, taking up a spot in one of the wooden chairs set in the bay of windows. Also typical."

"What can I get you, Elain?" But Elain shook her head once more. "Sunshine."

To me it seems apparent that Elain is trying her best to hold on to her light and optimism but she clearly needs more. She loves her sisters and she's doing her best to fit in at the Night Court but she's not really coming into her own in a way where she stands out and shines from the others. In the Night Court, she's always in the background, always waiting by the windows and staring at the sun, being drawn to the sun.

Lucien literally has Sunshine within him. I don't think SJM is telling us Elain has to be with him because of his power but there is something in the fact that his power is that of the sun and Feyre notes that the gates to Elain's mind are covered in flowers or would be if it were not for the fact that the blossoms were all sealed, sleeping buds. It all lends itself to the imagery that she will come alive when with her mate. And it's not really about his power so much as the court the power is associated with, Day Court (or even Spring with his connections there). And how those in Day Court and Spring aren't mentioned as having the same darkness as those that exist in the Night Court. Something SJM tells us with her writing of Lucien's characters.

If you think of it, Lucien has been through JUST as much as Az, had just as traumatic a childhood. Lucien is still taking hit after hit while Az has the love of his brothers and even Feyre, Mor, etc. Yet Az did become the embodiment of darkness and cold, revenge and anger. Lucien, despite what he's gone through has maintained an affectionate, apologetic, non confrontational nature. He doesn't lash out or seek revenge, he maintains his composure and prefers not to battle to solve problems.

It's not only about Lucien's powers though that enhances the imagery associated with what Elain needs. It's that Lucien, while having the light of the sun in his veins, actually embodies that lightness. He is about life and peace (though he'll fight when necessary), not violence and revenge.

He is warm and loving (comforting Feyre in her sadness, covering both she and Elain with cloaks to prevent them from being cold), shows emotion on his face (like the devastation over Elain's hollowness). He vomited over the faerie losing his wings and Elain vomited over the Cauldron decimating the Illyrian forces. He and Elain are both very expressive in how they care for others, how they respond to unnecessary violence.

I'm not sure how two characters understanding one another fully and being able to live their lives in a way that doesn't upset the other, that doesn't bring the other discomfort could ever be considered boring. It's much better than Elain's light and penchant for life slowly being drained away by someone who lives in the shadows and embodies death or on the flip, Az contantly feeling guilty for who he is because he knows those things bother her.

Hello! Really love your content so far and it makes me so incredibly happy seeing more people reimagining Alfred and Matthew as nonwhite compared to it being controversial 8years ago.

Ever since I joined the fandom I always had the (at the time) unpopular opinion that the NA bros were from mixed heritages (White/Indigenous), which as an American non-white Latino with Indigenous roots made the most sense to me especially considering that even in the manga they don't really represent the government, but the people themselves and both countries (especially the US) are so diverse it absolutely baffled me that they were just plain white boys. I always imagined them being mixed, but never quite fitting in with either groups.

I am sorry if I overstep on this next bit, please feel free to correct me on anything I say, I've just had a long time to think about this and how other countries would react, which is gonna put England/France into a bad light but...they were straight up horrific to the Natives. Even France.

I know you mentioned how in Hetalia, the personifications get along with their overseers/colonizers and that they wouldn't be okay with this, and I think I may have to *slightly* disagree.

I think when it comes to Nations and how they view their fellow personifications, how they look won't matter as much compared to how they act or culture wise. I can see that while the two heavily resemble Native features, when they were taken in by their colonizers they were raised to hold to those same European values that still do plague the country today. I can imagine Arthur making sure that Alfred ignores his Indigenous roots and that he's raised as a proper British colony, speaking and writing in English only, being raised as a proper Christian etc. Forced to assimilate, which has been done to so many people that come from different cultures from the time America was colonized to even now in some places. They may not look completely white, but by god will he makes sure they act like they do.

I don't think he would have ever been okay with his people being killed, tortured, having their cultures and languages erased or even enslaved, because he does not represent the cruel ideas the government has, but the people itself...which also do include the people that *ARE* okay with this. A constant battle Alfred has to deal with, which ends up with him making not the best choices.

Things aren't perfect even today, there's still so many issues that's happening where Indigenous folks are still fighting for basic rights to water, working roads, etc. But at the current time, more Americans these days (especially the much younger generations that were taught/look up about the atrocities that our government has committed, especially now that the Native voices have platforms to speak on), are much more aware. I see the brothers trying to reclaim their roots, and start what will be centuries long reparations on what their people have done to the Indigenous community. Which honestly, reconnecting with cultures after being forced to assimilate to American culture is something big thats happening here all across the United States with Latino-Americans embracing their heritage, African-Americans who were descendents of those stolen from their homeland reconnecting with their culture, Indigenous people bringing their languages and foods back to light.

It's honestly just a very difficult journey I think they would have as they have to deal with Nationhood, but forgetting who they came from and having to give themselves up to a certain group. Again, never fitting in completely with one or the other.

Again, I'm so incredibly sorry if this is overstepping in anyway or if some things don't make sense. It's such a complicated subject that really can't be summed up super easily and I did want to go longer but I felt like this was long enough already @_@

Firstly, you are not overstepping in the slightest! I am legitimately so content and kind of misty-eyed to see so many other native fans of the show both interact within the fandom and give their own interpretation on both canon and OC characters. It was never this wholesome and community-oriented when I first joined the fandom and I'm glad I stuck around to see the tide change.

Secondly, your interpretation of France and England's involvement in Canada and America's assimilation is... very accurate, and while it's something I've fought about with myself in my plotting of Alfred's life (because I don't want to hate them lol), they most definitely did have a hand in his disconnection. However, as much as I agree they are influenced by both their natives and settlers, I do think they very much hold their own reservations and opinions on the social climate around them as any individual human being would.

While American society and most American presidents were anti-indigenous and pro-slavery, there were also vigilant indigenous activists and abolitionists; there were men and women who defended and engrained themselves with native communities and there were men and women who fought mercilessly to free enslaved people. I believe Alfred was one of those people. Alfred noticed the wrong within the society around him and despised it-- but alongside his overseers and the people surrounding him, his thought process was in the minority.

I don't see Alfred participating in the genocide, assimilation, or enslavement of indigenous or Black people-- and it is not because I wish to sanitize this true history, but because I earnestly do not see Alfred being so cruel (as he was someone who also thought himself a better person than his brutal fatherly figure). I do think he did try to feel indifferent most of the time to... well, assimilate, but I also like to think he was infuriated, enraged, while at the same time having convictions on where his help is best suited as a native man with the privileges and appearance of a white man (I hc that he very consciously slaughtered slave-owners and triple k members, especially during the civil war, but I realize that may be a heavy hc to have).

I appreciate you bringing up the increase of younger folks in America beginning their decolonization/reconnection journeys because that is absolutely what I feel Al and Matt are going through actively, but I like to think they began their reconnection journey much earlier, during the rise of AIM in the 1970s. I see them being the biggest activists for all their native communities and they help in every possible way they can. Not only because they want to reconnect and amend their mistakes, but because they altruistically care for their people.

Their hobbies absolutely include remodeling the homes of elders and delivering food to them. They are very much for the landback movement and will call out anti-indigenous sentiment without hesitation. I also think Alfred separates himself from his governmental supervisors in current day and will challenge them now compared to when he stayed relatively compliant as a young nation.

I still have SO MANY theories about Alfred and Matt's origins and experiences with assimilation that I am working out, but I want to carefully plot it all out so as to not trivialize legitimate indigenous trauma, especially as a reconnector. All I can say is that if the land I stand on had a personification, it would be an indigenous being, no question.

Writing Prompt, maybe Enid and Baby Belle first meeting?

Oh my god- just what did she get into!?

Enid stumbled upright, her mind hysterically trying to make everything make sense. Okay, think quick, whats happening?

There's a baby in her arms, one who suspiciously looks alot like the woman advancing on her with a sword. She could've easily passed the baby over if this was truly her mom but the wings kind of made her pause for a moment.

Maybe it could be the rain thats fucking with her, the possible winds and dark night didn't help either but when a lightpost flicked on; Enid had to think whether she was looking at a fallen angel.

Okay, maybe thats a lil streotypical.

Like, listen-

Enid is a werewolf, she's used to outcasts with interesting extra features but wings? She's seen a harpy sure, but something felt a lil different about this one so it felt fitting to call her that.

"Why are you doing this?!" Enid shouts, keeping the baby's head tucked under her chin. "Listen i swear i didn't kidnap your baby!"

There's a scoff and the glint of a blade before something immediately shot at her. A strangled curse comes from Enid as she quickly dropped onto her knees.

The woman just came striding through without care, like she's coming in for a stroll and did not attempt to end someone's life.

"Details do not matter mortal," she claims, voice so clear through the harsh winds. "The parasite must pay for her father's sins."

Talk about intense cosplaying, Enid thinks, eyes wild as she quickly scrambled back.

"yeah well-" her eyes squint, turning to look down at the baby's blue eyes and a quite stupid idea pops in. "As her Father I say she shouldn't do so!" a forced chuckle comes from her throat as she tried to shift back farther, basically going in reverse. "I'm rather sinless yknow! other than the occasional sloth but that's normal in my opinion-"

A scream tears through her throat when the woman's wings flared and with a dive, Enid got tackled onto the floor.

There's irritation in those so beautifully bright eyes and all Enid could do is give a panicked smile. She would've thought they were black at first, but now that she's much closer than she would've liked, there were speckles of gold- reminded Enid of the sparks of a fire.

"As her Father," The fallen angel continues, throwing a leg and properly pinning the werewolf's bottom half down. "You could join her in paying for her sins as well."

Its the bling of a blade that drags Enid away from her admiring. Oh god, she got distracted but can you blame her? For someone literally soaking in the rain, the wings gave her such a beautiful silhouette.

Besides, Enid was always a sucker for someone in a suit and tie even if they were going to kill her.

Although that may just be the hysteria trying to keep her calm.

"You're beautiful," Enid says instead and its makes the fallen pause long enough for the blond to realize the pressure along her hips lightened. Always the opportunist, she prayed that the baby knew to clench tight as she grasped at the woman's thighs and threw her off.

With wide eyes, a part of her wanted to laugh at the way the angel's wings flapped in a panic but well- that's enough of her being distracted so Enid turns and runs away instead.

but well, things have been going pretty well lately so its no wonder she gets tackled from behind once again.

honestly ppl headcanoning stp as an allegory for systems and stuff. i kind of disagree with only when it comes to The Long Quiet because its not really designed that way. that being said i dont hate or dislike people who do HC The Long Quiet as that, its just my personal opinion.

HOWEVER, THE SHIFTING MOUND? ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STORY. big spoiler paragraph throughout the game, the player is "gathering different perspectives" through the shifting mound. whats interesting about this is that once youve grabbed enough perspectives of her, The Shifting Mound becomes one whole person. the different perspectives show themselves during the final boss thing and thats why i think The Shifting Mound is better for a DID allegory. those parts make up a whole, that's essentially what DID is

i havent seen all the endings for slay the princess, only the "good" ending, where the player and the princess live happily ever after (not the one where you get stranger the first time, but i think that can also be counted) and the one where you kill her.

HOWEVER! in the good end(s?), all the voices of The Long Quiet, don't linger (as far as i am aware), they all become the player once more. in theory TLQ could be counted as OSDD2 or 3,

either way BACK TO WHAT I WAS SAYING EARLIER The Shifting Mound all have different "perspectives". which is obvious, but what does that actually mean? a perspective is a point of view; the way that you look at the world, your ideas, thoughts, what you think is right or wrong etc.

perspectives can change greatly dependent on how someone treats you. for example, being nice to someone may lead them to becoming friends with you, or in worse circumstances, may become people pleasers to please you in order to stay (Damsel) (she literally says that all she wants to do is "to make you happy")

now some ppl might argue that the princess might have already had DID and I AGREE!!!! my prime example is The Stranger (not earlier dev, but the one that is now in game). specifically because of all those reactions the more time went on (aka the more questions asked). those parts of herself may appeared "suddenly" to the player/voice of the hero/narrator, but for all we know as the player, they could have all been there. after all, we dont know how long said princess has been down there. she could have been down there ever since she was born (hence why not even knowing her own name) and that means two things. lack of love and lack of attention. this can sound the same, but they arent.for example, love is fairly obvious, but attention can be negative. which, if you have neither, it can be very traumatic to a child growing up

ANYWYAS, shes talking to someone for the first time in. forever. or at all. theres so many things that could have happened (haha wow perspectives amiright). for example, all of those questions, could have revealed different parts of her, that could have had those perspectives. for example, that one perspective of her who said that she wanted to end the world, versus that one part who said that she didnt. or maybe there were multiple. either way, i dont remember, but its clearly conflicting; whether it is because there is little to no sense of self, or because her identity is fragmented or because there are different parts of her that do not agree with each other.

this can present in DID and all three of these can present in DID at the same time or individually, or some combination of the two

someones going to say "but its just the stranger!" it doesnt matter. the fact that this is an option to begin with, implies that these parts are still there, just buried. they gain identities over time, because of what the player decides to choose; parts in DID can have little sense of self but still exist as parts

like, youre required to bring a certain amount of perspectives to TSM, but not all of them. this implies that the other routes are parts without sense of self that get integrated/fused with what later becomes the shifting mound or with those routes that have been chosen

after all, the damsel goes to the grey, but they have defining characteristics from each other. same with tower and the fury, same with the beast and the den. and so on and so forth
