Hi guys, in this post i want to talk about Law of Attraction and compare a little bit to Law of Assumption.

I want to point out that there's a lot of irony and yes, maybe i'm making fun of law of attraction. But sorry it's ridiculous.

I worked hard on this post and i tried my best to explain how law of attraction is simply limited so reblogs will be appreciated to reach with this post to more people!

I'm so glad that first i discovered Law of Assumptiom because when i dived with curiosity into law of attraction it left me so, so confused.

𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 ✰

So one of the "rules" in law of attraction is that you attract what you feel.

If you feel bad, unhappy - this is what you attract to your life. Your feelings are main determinant what surrounds you and creates your life and circumstances. - that's what law of attraction is basically saying.

And don't get me wrong here. In law of assumptiom we are talking about feeling either but it's totally different meaning.

We are saying about feeling it as a person who have their desire, who KNOWS that have it despite what they see in 3D.

Feeling = Knowing

But in law of attraction they are talking about feeling as emotion.

Feeling = Emotion

You need to feel happy to attract all the good things.

While in law of assumption you can feel unhappy, sad, cry whole day in bed, but still manifest whatever you want just by knowing that you have it. Periodt.

𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 ✰

This is funny, because law of attraction community is so sooo limited. I was in couple groups on amino and facebook and they all said the same things. For example:

You can manifest money but you need to take an action. Go to work.

Wow, i didn't know this is how manifestation works. Go to work and you'll manifest money. 😂

Of course in law of attraction you can manifest ONLY certain things. When you'd say that you want to manifest different eye color, they would say how this is impossible and you just CAN'T do that. 🧍

People there would tell you how you can attract good things into your life but you need to be in good mental state, always have high vibrations and think positively, otherwise you'll attract all the bad situations in your life. Interesting...

𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐒 ✰

Other common thing in law of attraction are SUBLIMINALS. Well, in law of assumptiom we also use subliminals and i still feel like situation with subliminals are very similiar in both - because people relying so much on these... (i made post about subliminals related so ya can check)

But let's talk how subliminals are used in law of attraction. People have to listen to subliminals to raise their vibrations (not only for this but mostly!) Because if you are not surrounded by good vibrations you CAN'T manifest! 🤪

Listen to this subliminal 6738289 hours everyday for 99 years and you'll see the results!

This is the most common thing i see in law of attraction. You need to do xxx in order to manifest xxx. If you won't listen to this, your (certain) wishes won't come into fruition. :(( ah, i'm sad.

While in law of assumption we are listening to subliminals to just remind that we have our desire. Not to get. I will listen to this subliminal and then i will manifest xyz. How you can get something when you already have it? You want it. You got it. Easy as it sounds.

Unfortunately in law of assumption community, still many people paying other bloggers tons of money for subliminals (i won't mention one *cough*) to enter the void state, to have better self-concept (it's not even needed to manifest lol), to manifest xyz, to shift... Bro, you don't have to do that. I don't even want to imagine how does it look like in law of attraction community...

𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 ✰

Just like with the subliminals, situation with affirmations is almost identical.

You need to affirm 588738 times, robotically.

Of course in law of assumption we also use affirmations but depending on what our ASSUMPTIONS are. If someone like to affirm, then they are doing it. If they rather listen to subliminals they're doing it. It depends what each of us rather, what is more comfortable for us.

But in law of attraction... Well

Repeat that affirmation for whole week and watch how your life changes!

I'm sure at least one of you, guys heard that sentence. 🧍

You need to do something in order to get. You affirm to get something. Certain amount of time.

You rely on this affirmation and repeat it as you'll forget your identity.

Why i called law of attraction toxic.

Because it is. You are giving away your power to external things. You are doing certain things to get. You need to always think positively and have abundance mindset. You can manifest only certain things. Where is the point here? Not without reason, this law is called law of attraction. But it's totally useless and highly limited law which won't get you anywhere.

I am aware that some people won't agree with me, but that's okay. Or maybe there is a someone who is into law of attraction but after reading my post will finally wake up? I hope.

Essie! I admire your restraint! 😂 But you know I'm always happy to talk about these two. And I think I can answer these without really spoiling what I have planned for the last two chapters. Just know that all these answers apply to their post-HEA life.

29. Describe their nighttime routine. No matter how hectic either of their days are, I think they try really hard to go to bed together. So sometimes that means that Curtis will wait up for her to get home from whatever event she had to make an appearance at. And then once she's changed into comfy PJs, they'll do their nighttime skin/hygeine/whatever routines together at their side-by-side sinks. Curtis's is, of course, much shorter than hers, so once he's done Curtis will just hang out as they debrief each other on their days. (It's during this part that Curtis will often sneak little kisses to whatever skin he can get at.) Once they're ready for bed, they both usually read a little, Reader doing it for work (scripts, a book someone wants to option, etc), which Curtis blazes through whatever fantasy or historical fiction series he's currently working his way through. Then Curtis will reach over her and turn the lamp off, whispering in her ear that he loves her. She'll mumble it back as they both fall asleep.

34. Do they have any inside jokes? They definitely do! I think once, maybe a fan got so distracted by how attractive Curtis is in person, they completely forgot about Reader, and she's never stopped giving Curtis a hard time about. Also, lots of just little things: being reminded of those weird soaps in a hotel they stayed in in Greece, or still laughing years later about how one of her mom's boyfriends tried to recruit Curtis for his mlm. All the little life stuff they've picked up along the way.

43. If they picked out outfits for each other, what would they look like? Reader's going for Curtis's leather jacket, a henley, and his tightest jeans with the motorcycle boots. 😂 But! I also think the first time she saw him in a tux for some event was a real eye-opener for her, so that's probably near the top of her list too. Curtis loves her dressed down, the stuff she just wears around the house when they have nowhere else to be - worn leggings, one of his big t-shirts hanging off one shoulder. He thinks she's so, so sexy when she's just comfortable and fully herself, the version no one else gets to see.

Last day of 2022. What a year 😅 it's taken me a while but I think I'm ready to share what we've been up to! Buckle up.

So y'all know for the last year at least, really the last 2, my husband has wanted to move. He has lived in the KC metro area for his entire life. I have been here for 16 years. It's home. It's where we met and fell and love. Where we got married. Where we became a family of 3. I love it here, but he was not fulfilled. He wanted a slower paced life. To raise our son in a smaller school district. To live where there is land to roam (I think you all know he is PASSIONATE about deer hunting). We talked about it endlessly. For a good year, it led to a fight every time. I didn't want to go. I didn't see anything wrong with the life we were living or the place we were raising our son. But as time went on, I did start to see the benefits. I found myself daydreaming about the life we could build in a smaller town. The adventures we would go on, just the 3 of us. Looking back, I really don't know if I got there on my own or if I was just so tired of the conversation that I would do anything to make it stop. That's something that will take some more time to process. Either way, around August or September I agreed to pack up our life and give it a shot.

We worked on our house for maybe a month. Got it ready to list, and by Cole's birthday (first weekend in October) we were under contract. We had talked extensively about our options and decided to live with Cole's mom for 6 months to a year to save more money and explore the area to decide where exactly we wanted to put our roots down. It sounded great in theory, but boyyyyyyy was it not. Almost immediately after packing up our life and flipping it upside down, I knew we had made a big mistake. I hated the town. I hated being away from all of the friends we've made, my parents. We did not feel welcome where we were despite many conversations prior to moving and his mom being the one to offer up her home to us. Tensions were extremely high. Cole took a week off and then started at his new job in that area and again, almost immediately, he realized what a terrible fit it was. Everything started spiraling and it was a very miserable 6 weeks. And I know what you're thinking. How can you know in such a short time that it wasn't going to work out. But we just knew. All the things that we took for granted in our "old" life, we started to miss terribly. We talked and talked and talked and talked. There were a LOT of tears on my part. But ultimately we decided to come back home.

Now, that wasn't an easy thing to do since we had sold our house 😂 so again, we talked and talked about what our options were. We decided to move into a rental to get back here but give us some time to think about what it really was we wanted in a home. We packed up everything (again) and flipped our life upside down (again). And it sucked. Despite never really making us feel at home, Cole's mom was very hurt (?) that we were moving back. She's all alone in the town where she lives (a place she moved a year before we ever talked about joining her, mind you) and I guess we just really let her down by leaving her up there alone again. Things are...not good at all with us right now. We have barely talked to her since we moved back. I'm hoping with time we can all process the whirlwind that the last 2 months was and have a conversation and get back to where we were. But I guess only time will tell.

So fast forward to about 3 weeks ago, we are in a rental back in the KC metro. Cole still has dreams of getting out of the suburb life. He wants room to roam, and room for Knox to roam. And I get that. And I support it. And basically as soon as we get into this damn rental house, a spot like that in our price range comes for sale. And we are like.....should we? And ya know what, 2022 was clearly the year of fuck it. If we want something, we have to go after it. Even if it's hard. Even if it's messy. So we go and see the property and we fall in love. It's close enough to city conveniences for me. But far enough that it feels like the country for Cole. It's a modest home, but the perfect property. There's space. There's a shop in the back which is something Cole has wanted for a longgggg time. Sooo we offer on it (below asking! We really got the best of the sale and purchase side this time around) and they accept!

At this point I know we are absolutely insane. We will pack up (again) at the end of January and move (again) into what I can really see being our long term home. I've realized over the last few months there probably isn't a "forever home" for us. We like change. We are impulsive. So I'm sure there will come a day when this home we are about to move into will not serve us. But I think that day is a long way off. I'm so excited to watch my boy grow up playing in the big yard. Riding our 4wheeler around. Hanging out in the shop with my guys. House projects with my husband (and my parents, let's be honest. They're really good at that stuff). Mostly, I'm ready to get somewhere and stay there. It has been a HARD couple of months. But I am so proud of the way Cole and I have communicated through it all. We have grown endlessly in our marriage and I don't feel like those young kids who got married anymore. I feel like we are in a mature, loving and supportive marriage and for that I am so grateful.

Hello hello, and big love right back at ya! 💕😊

How exciting that you’re new to gifmaking – it’s so much fun to get to experiment with that and try all sorts of things. I learned a lot from following tutorials or talking with other gifmakers back when I first started out, and I’m definitely still learning new things now.

I think it’s a combination of factors that makes the background in my gifs so smooth? So I’m going to talk about some of those factors and show you a few things and hopefully that’ll help! I use Photoshop CS6 for gifmaking, but I think the majority of this advice also holds up in other versions haha.

First off, I always try to use video files of the 1080p variety. You can gif with videos that have 720p, too, but 1080p will provide a smoother and clearer image because there are more pixels in 1080p. (There’s also 2160p, which is even higher resolution, but I’ve personally found that unwieldy to screencap and 1080p looks very good already!) This is the technical reason why the gifs look smooth: work with a high resolution video and get better results, that’s just how it is.

Another technical thing is the type of scene you pick to gif. When the scene is very busy with a lot of people and objects coming into focus at once (group shots, shots in heavily decorated rooms, etc), there’s very little in the scene that actually fades into the background focus-wise. With close-ups of a single face, the focus is entirely on the face and the background will fade to some degree. This really has to do with how the show’s made, like how the director and camera people and everyone else chose to portray/film the scenes. As a gifmaker, you can always choose to crop some things out of the scene when you want the focus to be on a specific thing – you’re essentially choosing a new focus for the viewer in that case. But yeah, overall, the way it’s filmed affects everything else about the gif.

Now, onward to the actual Photoshop things…

When I gif, I also sharpen the gif itself. This will make some details pop more and help move the focus to where I want it to be most, which is usually either a face or something important happening in the scene. I do think it might affect how you see the background as well – when everything in the foreground is sharpened, the background will naturally have a bit of blurriness to it. I have a sharpening action I use for every gif, but I believe its settings are as follows.

Most importantly, I think the way you choose to brighten and color the gif will affect how the background will look. A show like House of the Dragon unfortunately can be very dark, so the urge to brighten it and fix the filters they put on these scenes is immense. 😂 But it’s also really easy to brighten it too much with that urge to see what’s going on, lol, and that’s when the background’s going to look grainy or pixelated! So it’s always a fine balancing act and a lot of trial and error (seriously, the undo-button is my best friend) when working with scenes like these.

There are a few ways you can brighten a gif. My preferred method is with the Curves layer, but I also use Exposure and Gradient Map as additions to that sometimes. Mostly when a scene is so dark that I have to take care not to render it too pixelated by adjusting the Curves, really. When a gif gets too tricky, I use all three. 😂 Below are some basics of each layer, but it’s really about trying and clicking and trying and clicking and trying and… you get the picture, lol.

Curves

The little eye dropper tools I marked with white – grey – black in the picture below are the most important. Select the white eye dropper and click on the section of the gif that’s closest to white (but not fully white). Then, select the grey eye dropper and click on the gif section that’s either beige or grey or at least in that neutral color zone. Finally, select the black eye dropper tool and click on the darkest part of your gif. You should see immediate results, but it tends to take me a few tries to get the best version! It’s not uncommon for me to zoom in on an image to, like, 600% just to see which pixels I should be clicking. This takes patience, haha!

Exposure

Use it sparingly, cos it’s going to be an asshole about how bright it makes some things. My settings typically are:

Exposure: between 0,13 and 0,22 (this brightens certain areas)

Offset: -0,0009 or -0,0019 (please don't forget to add the - to the numbers, this will deepen the black areas a bit)

Gamma Correction: 1,04 (I’ve found it ‘marries’ the light and dark parts a tad more and makes it look more natural)

Gradient Map

Gradient map my beloveddd. It doesn’t always do the thing, but sometimes it really helps me add a bit of color correction or helps me lighten a certain part of a scene a bit more. Be careful with it, though, as using it too much might make the gif a bit grainy/pixelated (and we don’t want that). There are a few different ways you can use it, but my favorite way is the only good thing TikTok ever taught me (I’m old as dirt, y’all) and that’s this in a nutshell…

Add the layer and click on the gradient itself.

Now, this is going to make the gif look scary as heck but bear with me? Select Noise, uncheck Restrict Colors. Click OK. Don’t cry.

Go to the Opacity of your Gradient Map layer and set it to a percentage between 2% and 5%. Dry your tears.

If it’s not to your taste, go back into the gradient map itself by clicking on it again and selecting the nifty Randomize button you see on the screencap. Click and click and click until you find something that makes the gif sing.

Soooo. Very long story short, all of the above is going to contribute to how a gif looks and to how smooth the background is. I hope some of it is helpful to you! 💕 (And if anything’s unclear, please ask!! I know I get a little wordy and technical about some of the giffing sometimes, haha.)

I've Drawn Out In Sharpie, Where I Would Take The Scissors

A/N: Here it is! 💙 I'm really excited to post this one because the idea came when I was almost done with Can't Think I'm Pretty, and I almost junked that fic to start this one, but I didn't cause I still liked that one and also knew with the semester finishing up that I wouldn't get to work on it for awhile lol. This didn't turn out as long as I thought it would be, and while I feel the smut is pretty good it's not as emotional as I wanted lol. Overall though I think it's a good fic, and I hope you all enjoy this!

Biting your lip, you looked in the mirror in your bra and panties analyzing yourself as you hold the black marker in your hand. Seeing all your flaws you criticize your body before you start to outline in marker the places you hated. Too absorbed in your personal mission, you don’t hear Austin enter the house and make his way through it towards your shared bedroom. Seeing the bathroom door cracked, he walks in to see the confusing sight of you literally marking up your body. “What are you doing babe?” He asks as his brows furrow some and causes you to drop the marker. Quickly you grab your robe hanging on the wall next to the sink and quickly wrap it around your body. “What are you doing home early babe? I though shooting was going to be long today.” You ask avoiding his question as you wrap the soft fabric around you tighter.

“Well it is, but something happened to two of the cameras to Baz’s is giving everyone a bit of break while it gets fixed, so I figured I’d spend some time with my favorite girl on her off day. “He tells you as he steps more into the bathroom, still confused by the scene he walked into. “You still haven’t answered my question though babe, what are you doing?” He asks you gently as he comes closer to you. Bowing your head, you bite your lip as your current emotions bubble more as you start to feel vulnerable under his gaze. You honestly wish the floor would swallow you up, because how could you answer him and not sound crazy, shallow, or pathetic? As you silently stared at the floor Austin watched you, and as the silence took over the bathroom for a moment something started to gnaw at his gut. “Y/N? What’s going on?” Austin softly asks as he steps towards you, biting his lip at your step back into the counter.

Gently he reaches out and cups your chin to lift your face, shocked to see your eyes lined with tears. As you stared into his eyes, the part of you that knew despite your worries, Austin has become one of the people that you could be honest with. Which is why after swallowing the lump in your throat you finally begin to answer him. “You know how I’ve been working on the Phillips account since we basically landed?” You begin with rhetorically asking him as he begins to chew on his lip wondering where this was going. “Well I finally finished it the other day, and I got an email from my boss congratulating me and telling me about the bonus I’m getting since I basically helped secure them to the firm.” You tell Austin, and while he wants to celebrate that news with you knowing how hard you’ve been working, it confuses him more as to why it led you to drawing on yourself. You bite you lip and take a breath as you watch his brows furrow more, and his blue eyes start to fill with worry and concern.

“W-well when he told me the figure, I kinda started thinking about what I wanted to get me with it. I know that’s selfish, but I’ve been so stressed with this account that I just want to kinda treat myself, ya know?” You continue after taking a moment, and despite swallowing the hard lump in your throat before you spoke, your voice comes out thick. “Well I started thinking about some of the stuff I’ve wanted like dresses, make-up, and maybe a puppy after talking to you. Then I started to really think and thought about the amount too. And something, well more like somethings, I’ve wanted since all the way back in high school popped into my head. “You go on as you stare into his eyes, and the tears begin to slowly slip as you feel shame, guilt, self-disgust, and all the emotional pain that’s been slowly bottled up for decades storm inside you. While it’s not the only time this emotional storm as wrought your soul, it’s the first time you’ve really let Austin see the full extent of it. Yes, over the course of your relationship you two have shared so much of everything of yourselves that he knows that you don’t always believe him when he tells you your beautiful. That sometimes he knows you slip into the background, because you don’t believe your light shines brighter than what you think.

Tenderly he brings his hand up from your chin to wipe your tears. As your heart hammers in your ears and you feel your pulse race you take a shaky breath before you continue explain yourself. “I’ve struggled looking into the mirror most of my life Austin. Yeah, sometimes I can look into it and be fine with myself, and sometimes even happy but for the majority of it I hate who I see. I just look and I see everything I hate and don’t like; I see everything I wish I could change about me. “You tearfully tell him as he slowly wraps his arms around you as you continue to stare at him with broken eyes. “So, I decided that I’d finally do something to change that, even though I went back and forth on it for years I was going to finally pick one or two things about my body I hated the most. Narrow it down to those two or that one thing and get the work done to change it. Then maybe if I finally changed part of what I saw that I might actually like what I see.” You finish before burying your head into his chest, causing his arms to crush you against him.

“Oh Y/N baby.” He murmurs into your hair as he feels his heart shatter at your answer. The dark markings under the robe now making sense and crushing him. While he knew that you had issues with your self-image, but he didn’t know that you literally wanted to change yourself. He also felt instantly torn too. While he knows you don’t see yourself as he sees you, he still can’t fathom it. He doesn’t understand how you can’t see how beautiful your eyes are, especially when they light up with laughter. He swears he can see galaxies in your Y/E/C eyes in those moments. He can’t wrap his head around how you can’t see your smile and not see how bright and infectious it was, or how you couldn’t see how your beauty was ethereal. That you were his own personal Aphrodite in every sense, imperfections, and all. Because even your imperfections were beautiful because they help make you. Every part of you was beautiful. He also knew ultimately that he wanted you to be happy more than anything, and if really changing something about yourself is what truly would make you happy, then he would support you.

Austin held you tightly, holding back his own tears as you cried into his chest. Letting out some of your anguish as he lovingly held you. As he holds you a memory of your first birthday with him came to him. He remembers he got you a few things, but he remembers you actually squealing when you opened the huge book that was a collection of Shakespeare’s completed works. He also remembers you opening it to search for a certain sonnet. “I grant I never saw a goddess go. My mistress when she walks treads on the ground. And yet by heaven I think my love is rare, as any she belied with false compare.” Austin softly recites in his deep voice; his chest gently vibrates under you as you start to calm your cries as you listen to him. Looking up to him you see his eyes lovingly stare at you before he explains the seemingly random recitation to you. “I remember you telling me that was your favorite sonnet because of how much he loved her. He points out that she’s not perfect, she’s not the most beautiful, that she’s not the most pleasant sounding in it, yet he loves her so much that he believes that it’s truly rare. That she’s his true love with no compare. “, Austin explains as he wipes your tears. His words already tugging at your heartstrings despite your emotional turmoil remembering the night he’s referencing.

“You said you loved that because to you that was real. That real love was knowing that your person wasn’t perfect but loving them and believing that those make them a rarity was what real love should be. Over the years I’ve come to agree with you more on that, and I so full heartedly believe that our love is real.” He tells you as he deeply stares into your eyes, hoping you truly hear him, and hear all he has to say. His words squeezing your heart as you begin to hang onto every word he says, “Because even though I didn’t see everywhere you marked, I know all those places you circled and outlined are things I love. I know because I love everything about you. Because you are so awe-inspiringly beautiful that when I look at you, I see love and home. “You see pure love in his eyes as his words pour from his lips, his deep voice soothing you as his loving grip on your heart begins to comfort you. “Cause fuck as cheesy as it is, you’re imperfectly perfect. I know it’s cliché’, but it’s so damn true Y/N. “Austin tells you as he moves and moves a hair behind your ear before cupping your cheek. He softly stares at you, biting his lip before he suddenly asks you, “Will you please go lay down and take the robe off?” His question startles you and as you look into his blue eyes all you see is tender love and concern. You bite your lip and stare at him, too focused on his eyes as his mouth turns down some at your hesitancy. “Please Y/N.” He softly pleads as he stares into your eyes. Biting your lip you nod and softly presses a kiss to your forehead before you left the bathroom.

Going into the room you shakily take off your robe and lay on top of the bed, as you laid there you started to feel more vulnerable before you hear Austin’s footsteps. Crawling onto the bed holding a wet cloth he places a knee on each side of your legs. He bites his lip as he looks at all the markings littered across your body, each black stain of ink on you striking his heart. “I know you see something wrong with all these places you highlighted, but all I see are pieces of art I’d worship at an altar.” Austin tells you as he delicately drags his soft gaze over your body, as you bite your lip and fidget with your hands. Fighting the urge to cover yourself up, and part of you breaks even more with that as tears start to well up again. “I see every part of you of you and I know there’s not enough time on this earth, or words in any language for me to pronounce my devotion to this gorgeous body that holds the most ethereal soul I know.” He tells you as he leans down to slowly drag the soft cold cloth against your thigh. His words tightening your chest as you watch, filling the cracks in the self-hate with love. “The thighs you want to change, are thighs I love. “He softly tells you as he works on wiping the marker off your skin.

“They’re the thighs that I love to feel in my hands, or to feel my head against when I lay on your lap. They’re the thighs I can’t stop looking at when you wear that one pair of jeans that drive me crazy.” He tells you with a light chuckle, you give a small watery giggle as he continues to softly rub the soft fabric against you until the ink is gone. As you watch him start to wipe off the other thigh, you see him bite his lip and his face start to softly concentrate as he continues,” Even the things you hate about them I love. I know you’ve mentioned they jiggle too much; we couldn’t disagree more. I adore the way the look when I see you walk around in nothing but my shirt, I love how they feel in my hands whenever I touch them.” He confesses as he finishes wiping the ink of your other thigh. “Oh Austin” You softly swoon as he shakes his head. “I’m not finished Y/N. I’m going to tell you what I love about every place you marked up.” He tells you gently but firmly as he stares into your eyes. Already so fully in love with him, you didn’t think you could fall deeper for him, but you were proved wrong by his words.

He then softly drags the cloth up your body towards your hips. He bites his lip briefly as he sees the ink littered on it. “These hips you don’t like? I think they’re my absolute favorite part of you to hold.” He tells you softly as he begins to gently rub at the markings. “Whether it’s during passionate moments that give me anchor, or those relaxed moments when I just want to hold you to me as we spend time with friends and I just want to feel you, or when we’re in the kitchen and some song you really like comes on and you want to dance, I feel like they were made for me to hold. That where I’m supposed to be is holding you. “Austin tells you as he continues to wash you off, his deep voice seeping with adoration as he stares down at you. “Oh, I love you so much Austin.” You softly say as you hold back tears from his words chipping away at your self-hate.
