What gets me with all of this hate toward Sam being made Captain America, aside from the obviously apparent racism, which is a topic of its own, is when these “fans” who probably have not even read a comic in their life try to argue that Bucky became Cap before Sam in the comics as their basis for being upset.

1. If you actually read the comics you’ll see that Steve Rogers was assassinated as Cap, leaving his role and shield in the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D for a period of time. He told Tony (who at the time was director of S.H.I.E.L.D )that he wanted the legacy to continue if something was to ever happen to him. TONY STARK asked Bucky who RELUCTANTLY agreed only after much persuasion. And only did it because there was no one else at the time for the role. He never wanted the role. Bucky much like the MCU Bucky Barnes was still dealing with the aftermath of his time as the Winter Solider. He even kept his identity as captain America a secret from the public, and although he grew accustomed to the role, later after Steve’s revival and return, Bucky’s winter solider troubles caught up with him and he found that he couldn’t be cap while also on trial for crimes committed as the WS.

2. When Steve later loss his serum and strength HE PASSED THE SHIELD TO SAM WILSON. Not his best friend Bucky, but Sam freaking Wilson. And once again, Bucky fought alongside Sam’s Captain America on numerous occasions much like in TFATWS.

So all of you who have this unwarranted hatred toward the fact that Anthony Mackie is now Captain America can take several seats. All that “Not my Cap” is giving very much January 6th Insurrection. And the fact that Chris Evans himself even has to constantly respond to questions of his “return” and state ONCE AGAIN that Sam Wilson is Captain America to get y’all head out the clouds is BEYOND ME!

Not every POC as to be the sidekick or backup. Not every POC major role has to be confined within the parameters of The Black Panther Franchise either. Steve Rogers alway gave Sam Wilson the shield when he retired. So miss me with the BS. The idea that Anthony Mackie’s gorgeous Black self is now the new Captain America has you all in hives and y’all need to get over it.

I saw a post on here saying that if buddie doesn’t go canon in the 100th ep then what the point…

The point is that you can’t rush into things like this, with the show and in real life. For the show it would make no sense for a character to realize their feelings and get into a relationship, especially a kind they’ve never been in before, right away in the same episode.

And for real life. Have you EVER gotten into a relationship with a best friend. That shit is HARDDD. You think abt if they will like you back and if they don’t will you still be friends and add on realizing your sexuality and the fact that him and Eddie most likely got into a fight (assuming because of the shoe) buddie will not happen in one ep it will span multiple and I won’t be surprised if we don’t get it till next season.

So you can’t be mad at the show and all the crew if buddie doesn’t happen tomorrow because it just wouldn’t make sense for it to happen.

They want to make this show good.

I want to make it clear and say that I DO recognize my privilege as a white passing latino. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t call myself latino. Please DONT come onto my page and try to tell me what I am and aint and what I can call myself as a Latino.

My heritage is very important to me and I’m very sensitive about it. Im very proud of being latino and although I’m now, white passing. (Wasn’t at all when I was younger and it’s just been since my late teenage years).

I speak proudly about being latino, about growing up with my grandparents telling my mom to teach us Spanish, of eating traditional dishes, of growing up being teased and bullied for my tanner skin and curly hair. Me saying that I’m latino is still true. Even when I’m white passing.

Get off my page if you’re saying that I should just call myself white, cause that takes away a lifetime of experience, culture, and my grandparents who worked so hard as immigrants.
