Rich Amooi is a Taleflick Discovery Winner, Three-time Readers' Favorite Gold Medal Recipient, Holt Medallion Finalist, and the bestselling author of 21 romantic comedies. A former radio personality and wedding DJ, Rich now writes romantic comedies full-time in San Diego, California, and is happily married to a Spanish Princess. He believes in silliness, infinite possibilities, donuts, gratitude, laughter, and happily ever after.

Based on a True Story I signed up for a short story writing course with @storystudio_chicago at the beginning of the year where the aim was to finish a collection of short stories in a year. I am now more than halfway through and, though my progress has been slower than I'd hoped, the collection is slowly coming together. Thanks to the encouraging support of my wonderful instructor @cynvargaswrites and my amazingly talented cohort of fellow writers, I remain strongly motivated to see this project through. I also want to give a shout-out to Singaporean writer @verenatay , who conducted an intenseive 4-session short fiction workshop at @singaporebookcouncil that I found hugely beneficial, as well as to my fellow workshop participants.
