🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

Man, this one is really hard? I mean, not only because I tend to write very niche things for small fandoms like Elfquest, but the last few years I have written mostly about my own OC’s and hardly published anything.

It also depends on what I am writing so it will never be the same.

I think one if them will always be Chieftess Skyfire though? One thing that is rather facinating about Skyfire is that she is really apart but also a large presence in anything that she does. For someone whose legacy is to bring a fractured group together, she is rather insecure and REALLY bad at any social interaction that isn’t basically bullying others to fall into line.

Hmm, thinking about it, in all honesty, it’s probably going to be any character I have strong disagreements with, I just love getting into their heads and try not to bash them too much (which is, in my eyes, worst sin you can commit. Sure, by all means have a character be called out in their shit, but once you begin just dumping on them, I’m exiting.)

Other than that, I tend to write characters that ramble, either when they talk or in their thoughts. I do that a lot myself and honestly I find it cute when others do it.

Elfquest fics I will likely not write

The one where the Teen Wolf characters are elves, featuring Scott/Truesong, Kira/Skyfirefox, Stiles as a jackass, Liam/Summerstorm, Brett/Brightflash, and Mason/Sureseer.

The one where Go Backs come to Sorrows end instead of wolfriders and it all goes a lot better because the go backs aren’t dumbasses.

The one where Shale lives, and Skywise is raised by gliders after he and his mom hit a current. Eyes high still dies, shale is partially paralyzed and gets around on crutches. It works out somehow.

The one where Nightrunner is the slightly world weary middle aged chief of the Wolfriders, Silvergrace is his lovely Chieftess, Cutter is his dumbass wolf friend and Rainsong’s puppies are adorable. Featuring a buff, hot Lionskin and her hot, buff son. There was much rejoicing.

The one where Skyfire won and left, and Stormrider, her secret soulname is Kahvi, is the chieftess of the wolfriders.

The one where not all the sunfolk agree to let the wolfriders stay and Rayek leads a whole group into the outside world. The Go Backs won the palace sooner and people call Rayek on his shit.

The one where Ned Stark and his line are descended from wolfriders (from Tyleet falling in love with and marrying a human) and Grandma Tyleet won’t have any of this silliness about Jon being raised in winterfell.

i actually had to look up how magnets worked for that x-men/elfquest crossover. in order to determine that the way skywise, two-edge, ahdri, ember and wolfsbane were going to attempt to escape from the wayne’s world parody they were trapped in in the mojoverse was NOT going to work. this is after ember kills the hard-light hologram of polaris who attacks them, using her sling (not the same thing as a slingshot!) and a copper penny, which she slings into the evil polaris’s mouth so that it chokes her to death. it is imperative that ember acquires a baseball cap in this scene and continues wearing it afterward (ponytail through the hole in the back like a boss and a true chieftess). anyway skywise still collects fridge magnets and puts them inside his shirt and he’s still upset when they all disappear because they were hard-light holograms. wait then how does ember’s baseball cap not disappear? oh crap i really want her to get to keep the hat
