@divine-misfortune finally made a post about the Quints and our beloved delta, so I thought I’d make a longer post detailing the lore we’ve been discussing. (Pls go support his art I am shaking it violently)
There’s something wrong with the water element, as a whole. There’s been so many water ghouls, and the only two ghouls to ever transition elements have been water ghouls.
There’s something about the element that is fundamentally more unstable, more prone to making the ghouls go feral and eventually being locked away to die alone or be killed before they can harm anyone or themselves.
Its a pattern that delta can’t shake.
He’s been told by omega what happened to those before him, and it terrified him. Stories of a terrible fate he can never overcome. Every weird thought and craving for blood is suddenly a sign he must be losing himself.
Delta obsesses over it.
He quickly starts looking over the old quintessence books in the library, wondering if there’s anything that could possibly save him. Spells and old tales of forcing different elements into a ghoul quickly catch his eye, he didn’t know it was an option to simply change his element.
He sneaks off with a couple books on quintessence. He spends weeks studying and coming up with a way to force the quintessence into his body in a way that will rid himself of his water element. It’s painful and tedious, ripping himself apart to force something unnatural inside of him. It works, just for a bit. Able to cast small spells and wield his magic as if he was a young quintessence ghoul.
The euphoria doesn’t last for long.
After the transition there’s no light left in his eyes, It's the first sign something is wrong
Alpha and mist are genuinely surprised to see him alive after he transitions. Checks him over thoroughly to see if there's anything amiss, when the only tell is his eyes are darker, they chalk it up to a miracle, that everything must have gone right and there's no reason to worry.
But delta feels wrong. He knows something else is going on. But he doesn't know how to communicate it, and he trusts alpha. So he ignores it, claiming Quints don't have glowing eyes, it's normal and expected
The quintessence hurts, feels wrong, like he swallowed a foreign object and can’t quite rid himself of the feeling of a heavy painful weight in his stomach and heart. The magic is powerful and not supposed to be there.
It rejects him.
his body decays and eats away at him.
Mentally and physically
The threads of the universe slowly ripping at his body and making him lose his mind. A much more painful and terrifying fate than if he had just accepted his water ghoul nature.
Deltas body slowly turns to little wispy shadow bits, showing his bone and muscle underneath.
He keeps trying to use the quintessence to heal himself, pull the skin over the "wounds", but it never fits quite right, the skin is too taught, it's not the right texture, it's wrong and he doesn't know how to fix it and he can't do it fast enough. Can't remember the spells day to day to save himself

This bit keeps sticking with me, when it comes after the Witness's "We know pain. Our purpose is its end," which comes after Rohan's "Pain reminds us that we're alive, that we're still fighting." Lightfall starts off with the Witness being this unstoppable, untouchable force, that unmakes Ghosts and Guardians with a literal flick of its wrist. And then the rest of the expansion sets up why it just kind of sucks at what it's pretending to be.
Osiris defines the Light as being the physical, and doesn't just link the Darkness with the immaterial—he links it with thought, memory, emotion, soul. The Witness is a being of Darkness, and Darkness is the nature of being alive. Darkness is emotion, fear is Darkness, pain is Darkness. The Witness speaks and portrays itself as emotionless, above it all—but Calus makes it angry. Mara and Eramis see its sadistic wrath, turning Eramis's friends into Scorn in punishment. Rhulk's lore book shows it blatantly manipulating a deeply disturbed and unstable person, playing on his anger and pain. The Witness is not a deity, it is not a force of nature. It is a being of emotion that does not wish to be emotional, that sees emotion as weakness and vulnerability. It has all of existence at its fingertips and Calus is more creative, more imaginative than it, just because he lets himself want.
The Witness gave us Stasis, the element of control. It could not anticipate or defend against Strand. Calus, this narcissistic, hedonistic, failure hit on a weak point of the Witness. It can't accept, it has to control, and being alive means letting go sometimes. It is afraid of pain and failure and it sees that fear as failure. It fights the river.

How about Danny Phantom x Jujutsu Kaisen? Ghosts and Curses are pretty similar after all.
Maybe? That could be possible. I know about JJK and watched the episodes, but feel free to correct me if any of this lore is wrong.
Only specific people could see a curse, and there are cursed weapons and energy could be able to defeat them. When in comparison ghosts can be seen by anyone, save intangibility and Young Blood, and can be defeated by ecto weapons.
Maybe Curses could be seen as a time of being from the infinite realms? Maybe some that were more wicked and evil than the rest? Oohh. What about beings that served Pariah before he was locked away? That would be interesting.
Curses also do a lot more damage and harm in comparison to ghosts. From the Danny Phantom, the most that's happened is property damaged and a few people get hurt. No one has died. (I think).
I could definitely jump on the band wagon of all those of Amity being able to see Curses and think of them as normal ghosts. Only to panic when one actually harms and kills them.
Power wise, I can't really tell. There's been plenty of close calls with the ghosts of Amity Park, so they're pretty strong. If they were in a more populated place like Japan, then they definitely could've caused trouble.
Would cursed energy count as ecto plasm? Would ecto weapons fair against cursed energy?
Imagine one of the sorcerers fighting a ghost and using a cursed weapon only for it to do absolutely nothing.
Imagine one of the sorcerers seeing Danny as Phantom and catching him transform and be surprised by him changing into his human form. Thinking that he was some adapt form of curse they didn't know about.
I think though that curses might be stronger when it comes to physical attacks, but maybe ghosts could have a changed with all of their different abilities.
Danny would love Panda. No questions asked.
Imagine Danny learning from the curses and creating a Domain Expansion. It would definitely be something cool.
Domain Expansion: Dead Kings Wake
Domain Expansion: Wrath of the New King
Domain Expansion: Star of Creation
But yeah, it would be something interesting to think about.

Andal Brask was the former Hunter Vanguard, before Cayde-6. He was revived by one of the Ghosts following Micah-10, and immediately afterwards journeyed to the Last City across the Pacific Ocean. During the early City Age, Andal was among those who assisted in the Faction Accords. He served as a mentor to Anastasia Bray in the ways of being a Hunter; he also knew Eris Morn before she descended into the Hellmouth. He's been friends with Cayde-6 and Shiro-4. He was killed by Taniks. Long story to tell.
Sjur Eido was the first Queen's Wrath and Mara Sov's lover. She was killed during the Reef Wars, and succeeded as Queen's Wrath by Petra Venj.

Redesigning/Reimagining Hazbin's Characters-1 (Charlie)
I tried y'all, I really did, but I didn't have much to work with. Sorry about the cut off, the shoes did not go as planned.
So- How'd I do? Tell me your thoughts!
(I'll go in depth under the cut)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, so, where to begin..
Well, first, I'll start by stating the obvious.
I don't like Charlie's design. If you like it, fair enough, but it's just not working for me.
There's thr usual problem of- you guessed it- Too. Much. Red.
Tumblr media
Red eyes, red background, red details, red clothing, red cheeks, red Bang style, red under sleeves (even though the shirt is supposedly White when you look at the chest area, but then you see around her wrist and it's a dark red for no reason. I'm willing to bet that the animators just forgot which color goes where because the color palette is just red, pink, white, and black. Over and over again.
Next: I get that she's supposed to be bubbly, and happy-go-lucky, all that stuff. But to be honest, I feel like it would be more interesting if she actually wasn't that nice.
I feel like one thing that would be fascinating is the idea that she wants to help people, but she's out of touch. She's one of the most powerful things in Hell after all. She doesn't understand the point of the lower class People. Plus, she's never been out of hell, she doesn't know what Earth is like, or what heaven is like.
I feel like a version of her where she is trying to do good, but is ruthless or harsh in the way she does it, could both be entertaining- and provide character devolopement as she learns how nuanced proper care is.
Also, if she's the second / third most powerful thing in hell, she shouldn't be scared of Alastor. I don't mean that he can't be in the series or anything, I feel like there would still be plenty of uses for him. But with her being a high class royal, and as powerful as she is, she shouldn't need to rely on him for his power or his money for that matter.
I understand the idea that maybe Lucifer Cut Her Off from funding because he basically disowned her or whatever, so maybe funding could be an issue, but even so, she should not be afraid of Alastor.
I like the idea that she intimidated people into going into her hotel so she could "fix" them, not realizing that the fear of her wrath is the only thing keeping people there.
Or maybe the whole hotel thing could be an act of defiance against her father fitting, as "history repeats itself" (referencing Lucifer's defiance of God in biblical lore)
Perhaps she does good things, but isn't all that nice to begin with. But she attempts to be friendly and relatable without understanding how to ACTUALLY relate to or approach others.
How does all of this tie into my design of her?
A few things:
1. Viv said at some point that Charlie was meant to look like a porcelain doll, which... She doesn't look like at all. (I do like her new ponytail. But other than that I don't like the design.)
To me, she just looks like Ellen DeGeneres with long hair and clown makeup.
Tumblr media
Don't believe me? Look:
Tumblr media
So, I made her more doll-like. But it wasn't enough. It was too simple.
Then, it hit me: in a lot of movies with demons or ghosts, oftentimes a doll gets possessed by said demon/ghost.
I'm not even afraid of dolls personally, but I know a lot of people who are
Tumblr media
So What if, Charlie did the same? Maybe her true form is something really scary, so in an attempt to come across as more approachable, she has some sort of doll-like shell? (But, unbeknownst to her, most people are very afraid of dolls. So it does very little to actually help. I think that's some decent comedy potential.
Plus, imagine her having stiff or janky movements, like she doesn't actually fit that well in her body.
It's all appearances
2. The horns.
I actually kind of liked her weird demonic form, at least I liked the horns and the moving hair, but since I decided not to give her a crown, I gave her those weird 4 horns with decorative string tied between them, as a way to make it appear *similar* to a crown. Plus as a reference to the whole 'demonic' thing
I kind of used Sofia from "Harmony and Horror" as a reference. (Btw, great analogue horror series on YouTube, highly recommend it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. I did make Charlie's hair a bit darker, but just a little. That was in reference to part of Lucifer's lore, which said that when he fell from heaven, not only did his feathery angel wings burn away into bat wings, but his once golden hair burned into a dark red. So I decided that for Charlie, her hair is darker, but since she's trying to do good, it turns lighter.
But yeah, I'm honestly not sure about her outfit, I'm probably going to experiment with that in the future. But overall I'm okay with how this turned out.
It took me a few times, as you can see here:

Here is me giving you permission to go ham and infodump about you dwd characters:
What is the one thing about that series that you've wanted to go feral over, but didn't for whatever reason? What is that Thing that you were hoping readers would go feral over with you?
Also, if the post is not long enough, or if you can't answer the above questions for whatever reason, then what is one random little fact about each character, that has no significance in the story, but it exists for them anyway?
- @writinggremlin
OH HELL YES I AM IN YOUR DEBT
I'm really really hoping people are interested in the lore I came up with for demons, bc it's basically my ideal portrayal of creatures that make deals for souls.
Okay so I don't get a chance in the book to actually go into as much detail about how demons actually work as I'd like, and part of that is because I want Riley to be in the dark about certain things until the sequel, but most of it was just to not get too infodumpy.
To start with, the most relevant thing to the story is that any spirit (demon or angel) can only possess someone if their body is offered up as part of a deal. This means possession is usually the result of a deal with a selfless motivation and the way deals work means those deals are usually handled by angels. Possession deals are extremely uncommon, especially permanent possession deals, but even among that small number the least of them go to demons of avarice. Avi may very well be the first demon of avarice to get a body to possess.
The advantages of possession for a spirit are that it allows them to experience all five senses without expending the mana it would usually take to manifest them in their true form. Because spirits are not native to this plane of existence it takes effort for them to perceive it. It also takes mana for a spirit to change certain aspects of their appearance. For example, demons of wrath look like fire and ash, so if they want a color scheme other than reds and grays they have to put effort and energy into it. No matter what though, a spirit's eyes will always softly glow a certain color, even while possessing a human body.
Spirits get mana from the souls they acquire in deals. When a deal is complete, usually upon the death of the human involved, the spirit will take the soul and assimilate it into their essence, basically plugging it in like a battery. This is the only circumstance in which a soul will remain on the physical plane of existence after death. No true ghosts and no resurrections. Once you're gone you're gone.
Another thing I'm hoping readers will be excited about is the fact that every chapter title is a quote from the chapter and the context for chapter 16's title will take two weeks to be revealed but when it is... I want people to cry over it, it's the proudest I've ever been about something in my work.
Fun fact about each character!
Riley is tall and still kind of looks like a gangly teenager even though they're 28.
Sil comes from a long line of Bureau employees and fells a lot of pressure to live up to their legacy even though as the youngest team leader in the Bureau she's already surpassed it.
Mike first joined the Bureau to make sure they were chill and not the "kill all monsters" type of organization, then he got caught up in helping people no one else could and never quit.
Avi learned most of what they knew about humanity before meeting Cee by watching sitcoms and soap operas.
Cee's parents heavily restricted her diet when she was growing up, but her younger sister got to eat whatever she wanted.

The Sims 4 Mooncasters Mod - Available Now!
Tumblr media
Embrace the moonlight and bring chaos (or blessings) among sims with The Sims 4 Mooncasters!
Watch the teaser if you haven't already!
Description and download under Keep Reading
Requirements
Before you download this mod, make sure you have: Packs - Realm of Magic and Werewolves. Mods - Xml Injector, used in most recent mods.
How to install
Just extract the folder in your Mods folder, which can be found in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
First of all, WHAT is a Mooncaster?
Assuming you already explored the lore, Mooncasters were a group of Spellcasters who fought the Century conflict against Vampires. They were powerful emissaries of the moon, who were binded to the night and their wolf familiars, whose magic was eventually absorbed, allowing them to turn into what we now know to be Werewolves. Modern Werewolves still have magic inside of them, and that's what basically makes them able to turn into beast mode. However, unlike Mooncasters, their magical prowess is locked and aren't able to cast any spell.
Between the founding Mooncasters there were Greggorius and Avelina Lunvik, Yina Kia, Maria and John Volkov.
TLDR; Mooncasters (at least most of them) were essentially Werewolves that could cast spells.
How to become a Mooncaster
First and foremost, In order to become a Mooncaster your sim will need to be a Spellcaster first and needs at least one of the "Canine Familiar" miniatures, which you can find in Moonwood Mill by scavanging around. Once you have one, they will have one additional option to the statue, the "Check for Dormant Magic" interaction. Once your sim has finished checking on the miniature, the interaction will be replaced by the "Absorb Lunar Magic" option. Once you select it, there will be a confirmation prompt asking if you're sure you want to become a Mooncaster. This has been done because once you confirm the interaction CANNOT be cancelled.
Note that these interactions can be performed between 8:30PM-6:00AM only.
Tumblr media
Once you're done, your Spellcaster will become a Mooncaster! (Basically they will become Werewolves with the Mooncaster trait)
What can Mooncasters do?
Mooncasters are not like Spellcasters, they do not learn from tomes and experience, but they'll have a selected choice of spells they already can cast! To balance this, your sim will only be able to cast spells during the night (Same time as the ritual, between 8:30PM-6:00AM). That's not all, since your Mooncaster is essentially a werewolf with the ability to cast spells and do not overcharge, each spell will make a certain amount of Fury to rise.
Tumblr media
There are a total of 11 spells, 4 of which can only be casted in specific nights, when the moon is in the right lunar phase. Let's explore which without delving too much into detail, the reason why is in the Details segment.
Regular spells
Restio - Can't be casted inside
Lunar Despario - Can't be casted inside
Lunar Duplicato - CAN be casted inside
Lunar Herbio - Can't be casted inside
Moonlit Mindfulness - Can't be casted inside
Neediate - CAN be casted inside
New Moon spells
Rite of Wrath - Can't be casted inside. Comes in two versions, one that you can cast upon other sims and another that you can cast to yourself and will affect nearby sims.
Lunar Decursify - Can't be casted inside. Can only be casted towards Spellcasters.
Full Moon spells
Ether's Purge - Definitely CAN'T be casted inside. Same as the Rite of Wrath, comes in two versions.
Beastio Dedeathify - Can't be casted inside. Can only be casted to Ghosts that are in your family. Alien Ghosts are excluded from this spell
Most Spells can't be casted inside, either for obvious reasons or because of how the effects are described by buffs and such.
They can also "Practice Lunar Magic" which doesn't count as a spell per se, but will have two specific outcomes for your Mooncaster.
Also, unlike Werewolves, Mooncasters do not respond to the Full Moon the same way, I'll let you explore that.
How to cure your Mooncaster
If you want to end your Mooncasting journey, you have to "Return Lunar Magic" to one of the "Canine Familiars" miniatures. The process is similar to when you become a Mooncaster, but it works in reverse.
Tumblr media
Once you confirm there's no turning back... ...Well, sort of. You CAN become a Mooncaster again, but you'll have to wait for three days in order to do the ritual again. Your Spellcasters will have the same rank and know all of the spells they knew before becoming a Mooncaster! The same is applied for the Werewolf rank and perks!
Details
Who can't be victim of a spell?
The spells cannot be casted towards Werewolves or other Mooncasters (and of course the Grim Reaper). For Werewolves I'd like to think that they have developed an immunity against these spells since they DO descend from Mooncasters, and their magic IS in there, they just can't use it like Spellcasters can. For Mooncasters; since there aren't any left, the magic they have absorbed from the statue is equal for everbody and cannot be developed any further. This could give a sense of unity for them and push the newly born Mooncasters to recerate the clan that once was.
Aside from this, let's delve into more in-game details:
Using a wand
While not being proper Spellcasters, Mooncasters ARE able to cast spells with a wand, but they can only use the "Moonwood Wand" that can be discovered in-game (Or obtained through cheats). Once you have it, you can "Set as Favourite wand", "Always Cast spells with the wand" or even give it a name!
Tumblr media
Aesthetic Difference
This is something I want to tell because it genuinely hypes me up, but Spellcasters and Mooncasters have different coloured magic!
While Spellcasters have yellow sparkles and glow, Mooncasters have a magic rune circle, glowing eyes, a small moon (Or big, depending on the spell) on them, and blue looking magic!
Tumblr media
Even the "poof" that appears on sims when you've casted the spell is different! I really wanted them to feel different from Spellcasters and I think I nailed it pretty well.
The spells I mentioned above
You might be wondering why I didn't explain what those spells do, the reason is simple! Aside from letting you explore it by yourself, every spell has a tooltip that explains what that spell does... But that's not it! Each spell has a little bit of lore regarding it, why your mooncaster can use it and/or other references to the original lore! Want a sneak peek? Here we go!
Tumblr media
What would I love to add next
The state of the mod now is very simple, perfect for eventual updates that could break some mods. But In the future, when I can or If I can, I'd like to add some things like:
New Spells, can do that with feedback.
Magic duels with consequences.
Custom brewing station with custom potions and all.
Specific interactions with Spellcasters, Vampires and Werewolves.
Maybe even a rank system and a custom spellbook? I'll have to see for that.
And... Most importantly... A custom LUNAFISH FAMILIAR, like seriously I was so ready to add it, I had the model ready but It required another mod to work without overriding any current familiar. I even made an icon for it! LOOK!
Tumblr media
Known Bugs and Workarounds
Even if rarely, it may happen that the buffs needed to cast those special spells do not appear. If you're having this issue I got a workaround. Open the cheats bar (Ctrl + Shift + C) and type in:
sims.add_buff Neil:buff_Mooncasters_FullMoon_Spells
Or
sims.add_buff Neil:buff_Mooncasters_NewMoon_Spells
Depending on which spells are missing during that night... Or write them both if you wanna try all of the spells at once, but I don't recommend doing that since I don't know if the buffs will stick around or not...
Some Spells effects might not last long or happen at all because the victim feels like they have to react to a werewolf doing werewolf things. As a workaround, I suggest you don't use them in a place where werewolves hang around doing their werewolf stuff.
Programs and Scripts used

In the Better Call Mapleshade au, are her kits adults in Starclan like Smallstar and his siblings or are they kits with warriors names? Because if they’re kits, I was wondering how Patchpool would be able to seem like an adult in Fireheart’s dreams.
Also I’ve only seen Patchpool, how are Mapleshade’s other kits?
It's a leftover from the Darkstar's Commandment story of my Bonefall Rewrite (which I will post soon I promise), from which the Better Call Mapleshade AU sprang out of. In the Rewrite, I'm keeping StarClan having some godlike aspects, so one of the things that's staying from early lore is the idea that cats who died as kits can 'choose' an age to appear as.
So, like the Smallstar story, they unlock the titles they would have gotten in life.
I guess I'll tag this as both Better Call Mapleshade AU, and Bonefall Rewrite. These are both still currently separate AUs but... for now they'll just share this specific overlap.
Petalkit = Petalstar
Appears as a middle-aged, powerful leader. A very serious, dour spirit who doesn't deal in nonsense. She can be quite harsh to the living, invoking her is intense and you will incur her wrath if you don't go through the proper channels.
She is a faithful, active agent of StarClan, quickly moving up in the ranks as her story is highly respected among the living. Her actions/duties tend to center around leaders and kittens of great destinies. She is the one who lead that ShadowClan patrol to Tigerkit to prevent him from being eaten by that fox, for example.
Her warrior name would have been Petalstorm.
Larchkit = Larchface
Appears as a handsome young warrior. A dramatic and well-spoken spirit with a penchant for delivering speeches and prophecies. He is not often invoked but comes when called, preferring to allow StarClan to judge those who commit unauthorized communication with ghosts.
For a generation, Larchface was a prosecutor for StarClan, especially for cats who neglected or mistreated kittens. He oversaw his own mother's trial, but in more recent years his role has been (willingly) reduced so that cats of more recent memory have more sway over the recently departed.
His duties tend to be in "communications." Wording and passing on prophecies and omens, appearing as faceless backup in dreams and visions.
His warrior name is a reference to his 'father,' Birchface.
Patchkit = Patchpool
Appears as a kitten, except at his mother's trial where he temporarily appeared as an adult. Quiet but excitable, very attached to his family, may have been a den father or a medicine cat. Easy to invoke, hard to keep his attention.
#Better Call Mapleshade AU: With his mother in StarClan with him, Patchpool remains very attached to her. He tends to observe the living a lot, almost like a child that benevolently watches ant colonies. Occasionally he takes interest in a particular mortal and shares the interest with Mapleshade, especially if he thinks they have potential or if their "story" is unsatisfying.
#Bonefall Rewrite: Patchpool wasn't ready to die and understands how scary it is for kittens who passed on before they even lived. He's a bit of a 'camp counselor' type to kittens who don't have dead family to "raise" them, teaching them the rules of their new existence, acquainting them with the activities they can get involved in, so on.
His name is irony; 'Pool' has nothing to do with his halfclan heritage. It's in reference to his calm, even-tempered personality.

hi hi hello could you please expand on aether's complicated feelings about dew's elemental transition? (im so hooked on your lore hdv3bdkcg)
Hi omg I’ve been meaning to write a longer official piece about this, so thank you for the excuse for something like that! I’m so happy you’re enjoying my lore side of stuff omg it makes me so giddy???
Basically going through aethers internal monologue of what he feels following the events. Reminder he is going through very heavy guilt and his feelings are a lot more dramatized than what actually happened
No one blames him, only he blames himself
Warnings for angst, guilt, mild self destructive behaviors
For the lore I’m talking about or more context please see #wraths ghost lore (not super necessary, just know aether did dews transition)
He remembers how the magic burned through his fingers.
The way he could see it creep through dews veins as he bled it in through his arms. He remembers the panicked look he gave omega who kept dewdrop subdued on the table as he screamed.
The thoughts don’t go away, haven’t left him in months. The sight of dews face twisted in pain stains the back of his eyes when he sleeps and he can’t look at him without seeing the wounds that have long since healed. It’s his handiwork at the end of the day. The scars over dew's gills are his doing, the burning flare ups dew gets in his joints are his fault. The breakdowns dew has over his new element can only be blamed on aether and he doesn’t think he will ever feel right with himself again over it.
Dews told him it’s not his fault more times than he can count. The now fire ghoul can feel the shame and pity that aether stares at him with.
“I wanted this aeth” dew rubs his hand over aethers shoulder “it had to be done”
“I know” aether leans into the touch.
But he doesn’t
The blood on his hands doesn’t seem to dry. No amount of reassurance that he had to do it takes the guilt away.
There are people out there that have to put down sick dogs, and aether wonders if the blood on their hands disappears when they clock out. Aether wonders if maybe that’s his fate too. If his job was something akin to putting down a sick dog. If he’s intervened in a divine destiny and he’s only created some half put together Frankenstein of his own friend.
He wonders if he’s only simply prolonged the inevitable.
And even if he did save dew he wonders if it was fair to have the responsibility put on himself. A god of force and not of willingness.
The sight of dew sometimes is too much to handle. Not because of any physical shock, he still looks like his dew, but the knowledge of the pain makes aethers stomach crawl up his throat. Dew would’ve been better off without him, he’s sure of it considering how he only seems to hurt him. The thought reassures itself more and more as the time passes. Dews' desperate attempts to wrangle his friend from the depths of guilt only make him feel worse. This shouldn’t be his job. Not after what he’s been through.
Aether retreats. Closes himself off more and more from those who wish to support him most. The genuine belief that he’s harmed someone is truly more than he can bear to handle, let alone to constantly see the fruits of his labor tell him how much he loves him.
His door stays locked most days. His relationships slip from his fingers in his own self wallowing. A recluse of his own fault but
Is there a more fitting fate for him?

okay i simply must know what this don quixote lass's deal is and why she's named after the protagonist of the first novel ever written (who's like. a somewhat senile old italian man who thinks himself to be knight. he fights a windmill at one point)
oh iris the wrath you have just evoked….. (my entire limbus company knowledge comes from calc (@soup-for-ghosts that's you! hi!) if my explanation is lacking in some manner you can go ask them stuff as well!)
okeydokey SO don quixote is a character from limbus company! she's an exceptionally silly lass who. has a few issues BUT WE’LL GET TO THAT LATER JUST FOCUS ON THE SILLY-
her deal is… well there’s a bunch of more in-depth lore stuff you can ask calc about but her IMPORTANT deal is that she’s whimsical!!!! she talks in ye olde english filled with thou’s and henceforth’s and so on! her whimsy is unmatched :]
said ye olde english stems from the fact that she. has miiiild (they are far from mild) delusions of grandeur, believing herself to be some sort of heroic knight in a fantasy-like world which. limbus company is absolutely not. but she stays silly regardless! there’s a whole buncha stuff about alternate versions of her showing said delusions but I unfortunately do not possess the brain strength to explain that coherently
as for the don quixote (the first novel don quixote, I mean) connections, there are a few! limbus don's shoes have the word 'rocinante' on them, which is the name of book don's horse! on limbus don's spear the phrase suẽno imposible, which is spanish for 'impossible dream'! its spanish because the book don quixote is hispanic in origin! (also the impossible dream part plays into her whole. deal but dont even worry about it)

"Local Lava Demon "WraithInnit", formerly known as TommyInnit, refuses to stop snogging candles; We have no clear explanation for why he continues to make out with candles, but the current running hypothesis is that he is somehow attracted to their flame. More on this subject later tonight at 6." Basically, my take on a ghostinnit that is far more wrathful and animalistic than aliveinnit had been! Cause mans deserves it, tbh Let the boy go feral
Lore and explanation under the cut!
In this fragment of an au, Tommy had been a mere two months into his exile at Logstedshire before he grew sick of it. Sick of the isolation, the hunger, sick of Dream and his stupid attempts to chain and train him like some blinded mutt.
The breaking point had been when Dream took his flight feathers.
His wings, small yet strong dandelion yellow puffs, were hardly useful for anything more than gliding- but if he caught the right current, he could stay airborne with little less than a occasional flap. Upon finding this out, Dream had held him down, ignoring his kicking, his screaming, and had taken shears to his largest feathers, cutting them away and grounding him with snip snip snips.
He’d left immediately after, leaving Tommy on the ground, still curled around what used to be his one untouched form of happiness.
The next day, Dream had returned, all sunshine and smiles, had brought a blanket and bread. Forced Tommy to take them, calling him ungrateful and a drama queen and manipulative, saying he’s just trying to make him feel bad for helping. After all, Tommy could’ve gotten hurt, could’ve fallen right to the ground and gone splat! But here he is, acting like a child, like it’s the end of the world because he got what was basically a haircut. It didn’t even hurt! Dream could’ve made it hurt, could’ve cut too short on purpose, but he didn’t! So what’s the big deal?
The day after that, Dream doesn’t show up. But the day after that blissful silence, he, Sapnap, and Ghostbur arrived, the ghost dead (hah) set on trying to decorate for the winter, and showing Tommy the tree back in L’manburg.
Tommy doesn’t want to go. Dream makes him. Drags him all the way through the Nether, up to the portal, before all of a sudden ‘remembering’ that Tommy’s banned. He could practically see the grin on Dream’s face when he offers to go through and get pictures in Tommy’s place, and within a minute, the three are gone, through the portal to L’manburg. And Tommy...
Tommy seethes.
The bastard Knew what he was doing, what he continues to do. And yet no one will see, will stand up to him, will stop him and make him pay.
With those thoughts burning behind his tongue, Tommy steps off the edge of the path, wings uselessly limp behind him, and falls, straight down into the lava ocean below.
As the last char of the boy’s body fades into nothingness, soulfire eyes snap open, brimstone claws unfurl, and a heart of hate pumps liquid fire through gold veins.
Ba-bump. Ba-bump. Ba-bump.
-=-=-=-
Tommyinnit died with a heart full of loathing, for all those who stood by and watched and did nothing to help, and hatred, reserved solely for Dream.
If Ghostbur is Wilbur’s lost happiness, then Wraithinnit is Tommy’s suffocated rage.  He remembers every moment he’d just wanted to kick, to scream, to cry, but hadn’t, had pushed it down for it’d just get him hurt more if he did. He remembers every moment his feelings had been dismissed and trivialized and turned against him.
With those memories, fueled by rage, Wraithinnit hunts for Dream, dead set on killing the man who had caused him so much pain.
Sometimes, he will burn himself out, and glimpses of the old Tommy will shine through, playful and mischievous, but all the same far more animalistic than a Player should ever be, and quick to fly back into a rage if reminded of the very things that had formed him.
-=-=-=-
Hope you like him! Feel free to use him in your own aus or stories, I’d just really like to be tagged or something- I love seeing what others create!

Lore Post: The God of Mercy, Diplomacy, and Marriage
I just came up with a story related to this Divine, and he's considered the third most powerful being in the Zone, so it would be remiss of me to go without explaining him for much longer.
The ranking of the Divine in the pantheon is based on the amount of worship they receive, and not necessarily the scope of their abilities or raw power. This is why Snímaid is so low ranked. Without further ado, let's dig into the overview of this Divine.
The God of Mercy, Diplomacy, and Marriage Coitreb deals with all things relational in the Zone. His domain is vast enough to encompass everything from trade agreements, though the duty is shared with the King of the Gods, to managing rivalry between schools or fellowship inside families. Because every mutual agreement comes under his purview, his powers are considered vast and prayers are sent up regularly to govern everything from major agreements between regions and nations to settling petty disagreements among members of the household. The constant prayer suffices the god with power, and as the god of mercy, he acts far more often among the material realm than most of the others.
The most well regarded of the Divine among the Yetis, his worship eclipses even that of Gwrtheyrn, and he’s regarded as the true King of the Gods in Malproksime Frostiĝinta a point of tension between the scientific and magic focused realm and their Arachtalamh neighbors. (The Heraldry of House Frjósimhjøtur takes its use of Arĝenta and its symbols of interlocking knots from Coitreb the same way House Glaurung takes its use of Ora and the Dragon Head’s meaning from Gwrtheyrn.)
Outside the bastion of scientific progress and diplomacy at the edge of the Local Zone, his most ardent worshipers exist among lawyers, international diplomats, and civil servants of all kinds. No one is more pressed to keep the peace than the army of forgotten middle ghosts keeping their countries running behind the scenes and between the glories of war and battle.
Of course, since he rules marriage as well, the God sees worship by everyday people on the occasion, though he shares some of this with Lúthgáir. His name is spoken at every jumping of the broom in tiny villages and state wedding affairs to solidify treaties between major powers. He is even a standard part of the vows throughout the Zone, especially for those marriages that take place for political instead of romantic reasons. This is because he is believed to have the power to make contracts binding, and every being wants a long-lasting marriage.
Another common site of worship is far more morbid. Invoked in criminal sentencing around the Zone by the guilty, he sees devote worship among those in long term imprisonment or who are subject to be executed. Indeed, the final rites for capital punishment in many areas of the Zone include both prayers to Aodh to guide the spirit to the Beyond and to the God of Mercy to forgive them of their sins or relieve them of suffering.
He is also invoked by prisoners of war or when soldiers intend to surrender. Using his name as a means to deceive in times of war or refusing to give quarter to surrendering fighters is one of the few ways to invoke the wrath of the divinely equanimous god.
Finally, even though Endings are rare and dangerous curses or illnesses even more so, the last area of common prayer is for those with terminal illness or whom are seriously ill, so that they may be shown mercy and relieved of pain.

i finished reading dante’s inferno and of course i have insane thoughts relating it to ghost
so in the inferno, dante’s journey is to force him to learn not to empathize or sympathize with the sinners and realize they deserve their treatment. what if the Papas experience something slightly different?
now that i’ve spent hours picking apart the story of the inferno, all i can think about is the process of accession to become Papa. what if the candidate (in this case every Papa we’ve had to date including nihil) has to mimic that same journey that dante took? whether they have a guide like dante has in virgil i haven’t decided.
instead of learning the lesson dante does, like i mentioned earlier, (kinda similar to what i’ve seen the fanon ghost lore does with the church) it’s a “perversion”/mimicry of it. where dante learns that hell is just treatment where satan is among the tortured, the papas receive the opposite: hell is a torturous prison in which by spreading the word of satan (the mission of ghost) they are working to free him of this unjust punishment (at least in their eyes).
which explains why they are promptly and without remorse, removed from their position if they are deemed unsuccessful. their failure to continue to spread the message and allow the church to continue their work results in the continued torture of satan, who they revere. things like birthing the antichrist, toppling empires, and highlighting the work of one of the four horsemen (all of which are themes of ghost albums) would not be possible without the work of the Papas and clergy. these acts could also be seen as acting opposite to the punishments of the sins in the inferno, instead encouraged and praised. or they act as “keys” to free satan from his position.
getting lost in these sins and indulging in them rather than just encouraging them/unlocking them or simply being ineffective could be seen as straying from the mission of ghost which is the explanation why Terzo, for example, was pulled from his position. Terzo was accused of skewing the mission of ghost and made it about himself (at least that’s the accepted reason i’ve seen the most lmk if i’m wrong) thus getting too lost in his own pride and putting himself higher than satan.
kinda unrelated i think it’s also really cool that a lot of ghost’s “characters” personify different sins. terzo being pride, secondo lust or gluttony (nihil could also work for lust), imperator envy or wrath, and primo maybe being sloth (since we don’t know much about him aside that he was deemed ineffective) idk about copia im sorry
anyway i just wanted to mash two hyperfixations together in the same way an unsupervised child does with two colors of playdoh, resulting in something that makes no sense and is a terror to look upon

Spoilers for a ivory wraith interaction. I don't go into detail but like still that's a huge part of the game.
I became a menace ever since I got the strapon-- pegging Kylar, Sydney, Whitney, and I attempted to peg the ivory wrath. That last one was not my smartest move... It dumped a fuckton of lore? Possibly? It forcedfed my character lichen after hours of ravenous sex that used up all the lube I brought and STILL hurt so bad my character lost all sense of control. Then it showed me some dead chick's last moments (I think? Idk I didn't get to finish it).
Also I did NOT get to peg the angry ghost. But it did frot with my characters strap-on! And jerked off the strap-on while stuffing my character full of cream pies! I gotta go take a morning after pill now

stupid quirky oc lore
Aaron was originally one of my oldest ocs, I retired him and his old gang because of just how long I've played with them. (i made them when i was like... 10-12?)
He started off being a wrath demon that turned into a tormented demon prince, to a demon gladiator, to ghost-rider, then back to a gladiator, then a British guy that died after ww1 because of survives guilt, then to now...
a sad guy with a shredded voice and tragic backstory, who's the most violent in his mercenary group but also wouldn't hurt a hair on the group's head.
Tumblr media
anyway, violent lil man, love him to death. he deserves to be a side character for once
