Spoilers for Hero Acendent: Where Honor Lives

Ok so I keep forgetting to talk about this but in Hero Acendent, specifically in Hanzo's short story, they finally confirmed how Hanzo and Genji's dragons work. It the weapons, the weapons Genji and Hanzo use produce an energy field that takes the form of dragons. The reason why Kiriko's father was taken by the Hashimoto was because he was a master at making these types of weapons.

However it's unclear if Kiriko's fox is the same. Personally I think it works differently as the Shimada's dragons and the technology used are from her fathers side, while the fox spirit is from her mothers. Not only that but in general, though the appearance is similar, the functions of the dragons and the fox are different. I believe Kiriko's fox uses similar technology but functions on a more biological scale.

Either way it is now fully confirmed that at the very least, the dragons aren't magic.

Ok so I've done this with a couple of Mirrorwatch characters so I may as well make a MW!Cassidy kit. I say may as well but anyone who looks at my page will be surprised that it took me so long to make this.

Anyway starting with his primary and secondary fire, I think the only thing that would change is the damage drop off. I think this version of Cassidy would be a lot more reliant on long ranged fighting then canon Cassidy. So I'd give him a longer range.

Give him back his flash bang, I'm serious, just give him back his flash bang instead of the magnetic grenade, or better yet combine the two. A magnetic grenade that gives the blinding effect when exploding.

Combat role I think should be like it is in the April fools update, negating damage and not having a cooldown but it costs stamina, making him slower and not being able to be used after a certain amount of times.

Now I'm going to be taking inspiration off of @dawnthefox24 post on Cassidy's ultimate in Mirrorwatch, the way Deadeye would work is that instead of increasing the damage of Cassidy's bullets it would decrease the health of enemies and grant Cassidy overhealth. I think the in lore explanation to this would be him taking inspiration or just outright stealing Moira's research and augmenting himself with it, as I don't think Cassidy having a prosthetic eye that does that 1, makes sense and 2, would be in character for MW!Cassidy to have.

It also gives Moira and Cassidy a reason to hate but respect each other in this universe cause in my opinion that should be a universal constant.

how do you think Ashe's abilities would change?

Well as discussed, MW!Ashe's Ultimate would be the Ultimate I presented when discussing Ashe's ultimate if BOB was a playable character.

However and alternative Ult with BOB included I think that BOB could have a shielding ability along with his usual abilities. Providing protection for not only himself but teammates too.

Primary and secondary fire would likely be the same.

I thick the Coach Gun could be replaced with grapple gun that not only functions like Widow's but also give the stuck effect when it hits an enemy. That or it could function like Lifeweaver so it can either get MW!Ashe to a different location or can pull allies to her.

Her dynamite would be changed so it is donated, either by movement or by a denotator. I also think it would have a knockback ability along with the typical burning effect.

And to add onto it, MW!Ashe would would have a sliding ability. Think of Sojourns slide without the super jump, but don't worry, she would have a different addon to this slide. She would be able to topple enemies, giving them the stunned condition, if she makes contact with them while sliding.

I know that your MW!Junkrat is a part of Overwatch, but he kinda is in canon, so I have an idea for a Vishkar Rat.

The key change in this is that the academy where Liveweaver and Symettra went to Australia for new students, and they chose Jamison because of his “extraordinary intellect”.(Junkrat in canon is actually really smart, just too crazy to realize it) Jamison’s parents deny The Academy, and they leave empty handed. soon after, the Omnium explodes, leaving Jamison an orphan.

Seizing the opportunity, The Academy comes back to Australia to pick up Jamison, since he doesn’t have a legal guardian. He goes through his term at the academy, graduating top of his class, and lands a job at Vishkar.

In Vishkar, he makes electrical weapons such as the EleMag launcher, which fires electromagnetic grenades(functions like Zarya secondary fire, with a shock at detonation)

the EMP mine, which deactivates technology in a 10 meter radius after a detonator is pressed(functions like canon Mine, except if enemies are in the radius, they get hacked)

the Taser trap, a bear trap that is outfitted with tasers(functions like the beta trap, except there’s 300 damage over time on top of 50 activation damage)

the Shock Tire, a

After a while, he meets Talon, who offer him a spot in their ranks because of the weapons he makes, but he refuses, saying that he has a steady job, and he’ll just stick to selling weapons to them.

The thing is, Jamison was never given permission to sell the weapons at all, and especially not to Talon, a terrorist group. They tell him to pack his things and turn in his blueprints, and they fire him.

That does not go well.

They forgot that Jamison was an irradiated Australian with a thirst for violence.

Let’s just say that they had to rebuild the entire west wing of the company building.

So now Jamison’s a part of Talon. The end.

The thing is we still don't know if the Junkers will join Overwatch, Talon or just be a part of Overwatch's rouges gallery, a wildcard third party. There is also the fact that while Symetra being a Junker makes sense on the mirror aspect, Junkrat being Vishkar turned Talon doesn't make sense for him. Sym's character is all about order, so it makes sense that her opposite would be a Junker, it makes sense that her complete opposite would be in the most chaotic factions. And while Junkrat is chaotic, that's not the key part of his character, at least it wouldn't be the thing to be reversed.

Not only that but faction and faction relations haven't changed, so Vishkar would still be working with Talon in this universe.

I do really like the take you did though but I think it would go in a more morally ambiguous way. With it not being clear if he will join Talon proper or join Overwatch. He would still probably leave specifically because of the restrictions that Vishkar has and the general way they treat other people with his background. So he would more dislike Vishkar proper and not either Overwatch or Talon.

YES!!!

I could totally see one of the consequences of Ashe choosing to stay with her parents in the Mirrorwatch Universe is that BOB gets fired. This being when Ashe realizes that her parents manipulated her and that she has made a big mistake.

And to keep on the the theme of Ashe joining Overwatch, BOB gets a job as security with Overwatch shortly after he's fired. So when Ashe joins Blackwatch they reunite and it's very sappy and sweetand Ashe eventually also goes into security work when she's not doing Blackwatch stuff. Also I 100% see this version of Ashe being more of a close ranged fighter, she's still primarily long ranged but she would be able to knock a person on their ass if needed.

Also, MW!Frankie joins Blackwatch too because I said so and she made Ashe's drones.

One died and the other was left to fester in her anger, falling from grace and becoming a twisted version of who they once were, loosing sight on who they could have been.

Another character I can't believe I haven't talked about in depth in the Mirrorwatch context; Ashe.

Ashe is a very interesting to think about in the MW context because you can only really go one way but there are some many ways to go about it. Specifically a MW!Ashe would have betrayed Deadlock, that is something that our Aseh would never even consider. So it's perfect that her MW counterpart would have done it.

The question is, how did MW!Ashe betray Deadlock? Did she end up betraying them for her parents? Chasing after a dream that would never be a reality? Or was she captured and given a similar deal to Cassidy in canon?

Personally I like to think that no matter the choice, MW!Ashe regrets it and works with Overwatch to try and redeem herself for that choice.

Realistically I think that the canon MW!Ashe would just have a story similar to Cassidy's but I personally don't like that, or at least I don't like that just being the case. Personally I like to think that in this universe after the Crisis and after stocks start going down because of Overwatch's efforts to make peace post-Crisis, Ashe's parents start doing more illegal dealings. When they cut Ashe off and she decides to go rouge and start stealing from them, when they find out they don't continue to push her away. Mostly because Ashe doing these crimes is drawing attention to their own and they can't have that.

So they "apologies" and manipulate Ashe into abandoning her new friends with promises of finally being a family. She sells the others out both as a show of good faith but also so she knows that there is a chance that Cassidy gets rescued as this would have happened after he was taken by the Diamond Backs. This ends up biting her in the ass when she realizes that her parents were lying and they just go back to the way they were. This time with Ashe under more supervision and with Ashe now aware of her parents illegal activities.

Eventually Overwatch shuts down her parents business and they offer Ashe a deal, join Blackwatch or go to prison. Ashe chooses Blackwatch.

I think this version of Ashe would have a lot of regrets when it came to her past. Doing everything she can with Blackwatch/Overwatch to help rectify her mistakes. I don't think she'd be trained by Ana in this universe but I do think she'd be close with Amelie and Gerard, and though I do think she'd like MW!Sombra, I think she'd avoid her most of the time because she would remind her of Frankie and Cassidy.

I also absolutely see MW!Ashe and MW!Reyes bonding over how they both fucked up in the past. Especially when they find out they are both responsible for how Cassidy turned out in this universe.

So I was looking at the Zaria Talon skin because the way they designed her veins reminded me of people who use a lot of steroids

Do you think the difference between her and the OW Zarya is that she didn’t get her strength through hard work and determination but through a shortcut?

Oh absolutely, one voice line that Zarya has implicates that she doesn't approve of augmentations being used to enhance a persons abilities. So it's easy to say that an mirrored version of Zarya would get augmentations to enhance her abilities. Though I do think that MW!Zarya's general strength is still from training, there is no doubt she augmented herself to enhance those abilities.

What are some heroes you think we should get maps relating to them?

I’d love to see an actual Vishkar map for Symmetra

And an actual Talon base and not the hidden kind like Rialto, specifically the one where the lower level people like Mauga and Baptiste would ship out from to go on missions

A Vishkar and Talon Map are high on my list.

However I would also like more maps based around characters homes or other locations in the Overwatch world. Like maybe another Watchpoint or a Blachwatch Safe House/Area or base. Something like that to show what happened to the other Watchpoints that were left abandoned.

I would also love a map at Atlantic Archology for Lifeweaver.

What are the factions and organizations within the OW universe that you think needs to have a hero added to represent them or more heroes added to represent them

Mine’s gotta be Talon, the Hashimoto, Vishkar, and the Gwishin

Talon is an absolute must for me, especially Talon Supports cause we don't even have enough talon characters for a full team. I also think we need a Junker Support characters, or maybe just an austrailian character who isn't from Junkertown. And I have already detailed my want for Sanjay to become a playable character.

I do also think that having a Hashimoto character would be interesting but I doubt well get one while the main story focus is still on Null Sector (that's if they keep giving us story after Hero Ascendants).

But I think the main group that needs to be focused on is Talon, they are the main villains after all.

as tired as I am with villain tanks, I wouldn't be surprised if Sanjay was a villain tank with hardlight armor. Though they might be able to do that for support as well. I also think his Weapon should be a sonic weapon as a reference to Vishkar taking that stuff from Lucio's dad cuz that hasn't been referenced in years.

Oh god the drama of him having the same sonic technology as Lucio would be so fun with interactions. Imagine OW1 Lucio and Sym interactions, but soooooo much worse. Lucio would be throwing hands-

It would also give us a chance to see Vishkar's corruption more, as with Lifeweaver having fully left Vishkar and Symetra now questioning it. We don't really get references to how evil Vishkar is, like you said, even the fact that Vishkar stole Lucio's dads tech is not really talked about anymore.

As for how hardlight armor could work for a support, I could honestly picture that being his ult. Something that grants both himself and his team with healing and armor. Maybe it could even be like a combination of Ramattra and Lucio's ults where after Sanjay's ult is activated there is a radius on where the healing happens while the ult is active.

I can't believe I haven't talked about this more yet, or that I haven't seen anyone else really go into this idea.

But MW!Moira, can we actually talk about her please cause her story would be so interesting.

Now when I watch the interview it was actually up in the air whether or not MW!Moira would be in Overwatch, however in my mind she is, cause 1, it too good not to do, and 2, MW!Overwatch needs more members, they are so outnumbers-

So, what do I think MW!Moira is like? Well for one I do think she'd still do her questionable experiments but they are only on herself. The only time she would have ever done one of her experiments on another person was on MW!Reyes and that was to save his life. I also think that this would be something she actually regret having to do, spending a lot of her free time during Reyes's recovery period trying to find ways to make the side effects less severe.

In general though I think she'd be really against experimenting on other people. I also think the reason why Moira would still experiment on herself would be a notion of "even if this research kills me, others will find my research and expand on it", basically a "I may not be entitled to patience, but others are". She would still believe in the progression of humanity but she would have a few more limits on what she's willing to do for that progression. Which would lead her to having a lot more faith in the next generation and just humanity in general.

Though I do think that MW!Moira would have a more positive outlook, I don't think she'd be any less of a bitch. I think she'd be nicer to Reyes, but there is also the fact that that man would not like being on bedrest. Basically MW!Moira is a tired mum and keeps having to say to Amelie "I am not giving you anymore augmentations, your eyes are enough." and chase after MW!Gabe cause he needs bedrest and he isn't staying still.

What are the characters that we’ve seen in the various media stories of Overwatch that you’d want as heroes

Mine are Maximilian and D.Mon

My main ones are Sanjay, Lynx and Frankie. All of them most likely being supports.

Sanjay cause we need another villain support. Like yesterday. Please give Talon more members cause at this point they are just going to get jumped. But also I think Sanjay would be a good opportunity to bring back a version of Symetra's old support kit.

Lynx is also a character I see as support, probably with an altered version of MW!Sombra's kit as well. I they would be a good addition cause they seem like they could be a good middle ground for Zenyatta and Ramattra's beliefs, they're very intolerant of prejudice but are accepting of change. I also think that they are a good choice cause they already have an in to get into Overwatch with Zarya already being a member.

Frankie is the only one that's a toss up between DPS or Support, but considering her role in Deadlock Rebels I think she'd fit better as support. Character wise I would just like more insight for Deadlock and the other founders reactions to the situation with Cassidy. Cause Frankie is a lot more level headed and is more similar to Cassidy then Ashe in the way they act and understand the world. Not only that but Frankie would be a good opportunity to bring in a drone based Support.

Is Gerard alive in the Mirrorwatch universe and if he’s alive than that means that Ana could have possibly been brainwashed into killing her husband Sam do you think the mirror watch version of Widowmaker is better than the normal talon version?

In voice lines it is confirmed that MW!Gerard is still alive and most likely still an Overwatch agent (cause there is no way in hell that man is a civilian), it's also confirmed in voice lines that Ana did betray Sam in this universe. Likely meaning that she killed him.

Though something interesting to note is that not only is it implied that MW!Ana used to be an Overwatch agent, but there is no indication that she's been brainwashed. Actually there seems to be more of an argument that Reinhardt is the one that's brainwashed with is line of "You hold my leash no longer" when he eliminates Ana and the fact that his skin is called Fallen Knight. There is also the consideration that though MW!Ana sees emotion as a weakness, she hasn't had them dulled or removed.

In all honesty, though MW!Ana seems to very much be in Widowmakers role, personality wise she seems more like Moira, as well as her motives being similar to Doomfist with a lot of her voice lines talking about how the world has grown weak and complacent, along with her line "I chose greatness, you chose failure". It's also implied that whatever was done to Rein in the world, it was done by Ana, not only because of Reinhardt's line but also one of Ana's own; "Mind yourself Reinhardt. You're still of use to me."

As for MW!Ameile being better then Widowmaker? Absolutely. I've talked about the problems with Widow's fighting style before butthe main problem and the main thing that holds her back is that her fighting style isn't personalized. It's all Talon training and the few moments it isn't are the moment when she actually hits her shots. So with Amelie not being brainwashed and only having a few augmentations, that being her eyes, cause not only is one of them a prosthetic but her eyes are still yellow in this world, meaning Moira did something to her eyes at the very least. It means that Amelie would incorporate more of her own style into her fighting, specifically I think MW!Amelie's fighting style looks more like dancing then fighting.

Also even though it's not really implied and it might be a stretch, but if MW!Ana was previously working for Overwatch, It's highly likely that Ana trained Amelie in this universe. So yeah, I think that Captain Lacroix would easily be a better sniper and fighter then Widowmaker, however, she would not be the better assassin.

From lovingoverwatchguys: Thinking about Lucky Man again, and I can't believe it's now explicitly said in canon that Jack doesn't think Reyes was responsible for the fall of Overwatch. I'm still really happy about it. Partially because that invalidates a lot of bad takes about them, lol. This story validated my views on him so much

100% agreed. Honestly I was a bit worried that this would either be glossed over or, god forbid, mischaracterized/retconned, but mot only did it not do that, but it also gave use a description of what Reyes's reaction to the explosion was, which I was genuinely surprised by. It makes me even more excited to see what more stories they're going to tell in the future.

Also this story very much feels like a better version of CoV, both stories have a similar formula, even having Sombra feature as a major character, the characters being on a time limit, the characters breaking into places owned by the UN. But while CoV feels like a character assassination, Lucky Man is not only better written in general, but also feels like it's trying to rectify the mistakes done in CoV. Especially with the description of Gabe's reaction to the explosion.

Honestly all of these stories have either validated what I've been saying about characters or give me new perspectives on them. Some of them even fix problems I had with the writing of certain characters (*cough* *cough* Kiriko).
