First day, fourth semester.

Day 18

Henlo, today has been a good day. I woke up and got up in 9 minutes which is only medium difficulty. I did an awesome dark smokey eye and put a cute casual chic outfit together. Lemme give you some visuals.

The first day of classes was great. I got partnered to work with one of my friends (The Captain, and I asked to be, even though the supervisor said they'll do groups on random). We will be creating around the general theme of "What are the problems created by digital media?" so our focus can be on privacy, misinformation, alienation from "real life", etc. We'll do something ironic, basically subverting expectations by suggesting people should spend MORE time on their phones and other such silly goose things. It'll be great. I am tired but satisfied with how today went. I feel excited to work with Birdman as a supervisor and lecturer again.

Love and I have been discussing relationship stuff as we've both been a little too much in our heads and disconnected from each other. I am really happy we talk about these things and that they keep checking in as I need more reassurance than most. I am still thinking of doing the new Insta page thing. It's time for me to take my makeup off (it'll take a Minute) and get ready for speep. I know it's early, but I think I could wake up earlier tomorrow and see if I can put some work into the Insta page before heading to school.

This was the result of the 1st workshop using Cinema 4D and After Effects while crossing over with the animation department. We were each given random prompts and a partner to work with. My prompt was ‘spiteful paving’. My partner Joseph had ‘crumpled manacles’, and we decided to instead do a 10 second video combining an abstract concept of the two as opposed to two 5 second videos. This workshop we took full advantage of the cloner tool, deformers, rotation, camera panning and pacing. We then rendered everything we had worked on into a TIFF format, and used after effects to inject the project with the colour scheme and mood that we originally envisioned.

The first time we meet,

it was at your house, I was brushing my teeth.

The first time I lived alone, in my apartment,

thousand miles away from my family then suddenly you offered a home.

The first time I went on an out of the country trip,

It was both terrifying and amazing.

The first time to get a job, it was in the foreign country,

I was okay dealing with diversity.

The first time I traveled in the foreign country alone,

a birthday getaway for myself, looking for the soul that has left.

The first time I conquered my fears and fly,

it was my 23rd when I decided I wanna skydive.

The first time to get a job in my homeland,

a year have passed, I was back in the country and eventually found a comfort in my mind full of uncertainty.

First

Do you remember the first time we’ve met? The day when i first saw your beautiful face. Your charming smile and your joyous attitude. We used to talk to each other, and were actually getting closer and closer everytime we hangout. Those times where the best part of my life, I treasure those moments most especially when we are together. But, you never picked me. That’s okay, i considered that as a lesson. Let me recall the time when we first met.

The first time we met at camp, i was like “is she okay? should i comfort her?” but then i realized were both strangers so no thanks.

The first time you added me and you chatted me, i was like “damn, am i going to get married?” but i’m not hoping it’s going to happen.

The first time that i saw her cry, i want her to be happy. I want to take care of her.

The first time i asked you on a date. I traveled far for you to meet you at your school, we ate and talk. I was planning to confess my feelings for her, but we only got a limited time.

The first time that i cooked for a girl. I remembered that time because that was her favorite and she loved it.

Then, the first time that i felt real pain inside my chest when she said no. Because she loved her ex.

The first time that i’ve regret giving up because i thought i have no chance. I regret that i listened to other people’s opinion. I shouldn't gave up on you because i was this close to be with you.
