I wanted to make a tribute playlist to Bronwyn for Characters Week. I'll miss her character in Season 2 (hence making the playlist sad but heroic), and very much appreciate all that Nazanin Boniadi has done to make her a wonderful character for the series. Surrender Prompt Fills #3
Was about to pump this out before surgery. Wish me luck y'all! As always, these fills were inspired by the amazing surrender prompts by @whither-wander-whump
Part two here
- a character who steps forward and holds out their hands to be restrained almost gleefully. Bantering and trading taunts with their captor, because they know that every moment they spend here is another moment their team/friend/lover has to get away.
“I have to admit, I didn’t think it would be this easy.”
The antagonist stared down at the hero’s proffered hands like it could be a bomb
The hero grinned, pouncing on this opportunity like a cat with a laser pointer. “Are you calling me easy?”
“Are you — once again — twisting everything I say into a pathetic double entendre?” The sheer exasperation so early on in their banter made the hero’s smile curl into a smirk.
“You ask that as if you don’t set me up for that exact response.”
The antagonist gave them a flat stare. “I don’t.”
“Not consciously at least,” the hero added, fondness leaking through their tone.
They should feel anything but fond right now, staring down the barrel of a painful captivity in hopes that their teammates could get away. They were minnows compared to the white whale the hero had become to the antagonist. Years of teasing, cat and mouse games, dancing out of the antagonist’s clutches at the last moment — all down the drain. The game was over and the hero lost.
And yet anticipation buzzed electric under their skin at what the antagonist would finally do now they had the hero in their hands. So many years of pent up threats and sly hints at the strange attraction stretched taut between them spelled a kind of risk/reward feedback the hero couldn’t help but look forward to.
“Well?” they prompted, wigging their wrists. “Do I have to put the cuffs on myself?”
The antagonist did nothing but stare, as if their very gaze could take the hero apart piece by piece and see everything inside. The hero tried their best to look as guileless as possible in return.
“Tell me the catch and I’ll consider it.”
The hero blinked. “There is no catch. You want me. You can have me.”
“What’s the price then?”
The hero debated on another oblivious answer, but the way the antagonist’s eyes narrowed spelled the end of their patience. The game was over.
“You get me,” they said softly, “and only me. No one else.”
Understanding bloomed in the antagonist’s gaze. “I see. They’re already gone, then?”
“I sure hope so. I wouldn’t want to deliver myself to your tender mercies for nothing.”
Something flickered in the antagonist’s eyes. A sharper edge. A hunger. Without warning the antagonist shoved them roughly against the side of the car, cuffs clicking with tight finality over the hero’s wrists.
“What I am going to do to you,” the antagonist breathed, their lips just a scant few inches away, “is neither tender nor a mercy.”
Something bright sparked sharply in the hero’s chest. Whether it was fear or desire, they couldn’t tell you.
What I am going to do to you
Oh the terrifying and electrifying implications of that statement.
The hero’s gaze darted down to the antagonist’s mouth, drawn like a magnet to iron. They watched a smirk curl the corner of their lips up before the antagonist leaned in close to their ear. Their fingers pressed into the thrumming pulse in the hero’s wrists.
“Perhaps, if you’re good, you may even enjoy some of it. But you would have to be very good, Hero. Are you sure you’re capable of that?”
The hero felt strangely light-headed. Fear and delight danced a tango in their chest, as close together as the hero and the antagonist were right now.
“I guess we’ll find out,” they whispered.
The antagonist pulled back far enough to lock their dark dark gaze onto the hero.
“Yes, we will.”

Hey I have a question for whenever y'all have the spoons to answer - you guys have chronic fatigue right? What can you do to not just straight up die? I don't have chronic fatigue as far as I'm aware but I've been ill A LOOT this past year and since then my energy levels seem to be permanently on sick mode. Got a better sleep schedule than I have in the past two years but harder time staying awake too. If you have any advice on how to avoid being so exhausted you're gonna pass out through halfway through the school day that would be appreciated, my grades are suffering </3
oh yeah
so our energy levels fluctuate but when referring to this chart-
but usually we hover around a 4 or 5. we tend to hyperfocus at school and blaze through all of our work and then get home, crash for an hour o so, and then be too tired to usually do any chores. the entire weekend is spent recharging.
there was a period of time where we had to use mobility aids to get around at school because our fatigue was just That Bad during the day. thankfully things are much better now that we have meds and now that we no longer have P.E (which was absolute and utter hell) but still we are never at full capacity energy wise. it's enough to take notes in classes and get our work done and then just coast for the rest of the day
generally, this is how we've been getting along lately:
our teachers are fine with us taking naps during class because we consistently get our work done and turned in by the time class is out
our teachers are also fine with us wearing headphones because it's written into our IEP (there are a couple of benefits to having an autism diagnosis).
we just kind of... seize the energy we do have to do things like laundry when we're home. candy is good for short bursts of energy. if nothing in the house is appetizing, grab yourself a protein bar or a glass of milk or something- it's better than nothing
somehow we got it embedded into our brain that part of our Daily Routine™️ is taking a shower nightly or else things get bad. on the rare occasion that we skip a night, we make up for it the next morning
group together tasks! if you need to go downstairs to do laundry or something then get yourself some ice water as well before headed back to your room. if you get the sudden urge to clean off a table or something, don't ignore it. just make sure you don't physically collapse in the middle of it
things have gotten way better ever since we've started taking our ADHD medication but the years before that were absolute hell so yeah, wishing you the best of luck anon <3 you'll learn your body's warning signs and limits soon enough and learn to work around them like we did. you'll be alright

since none of y'all know how the music program at my skl works i can rant so bands for next year came out today right
like 5 minutes ago
and in that time i have screamed eight times, lied down on the floor twice and almost broken my clarinet three and a half times this is because:
1. how the fuck did j move up and i didnt i am like 20 times better than him and this isnt ego its literal facts (but hey at least he's gone)
2. jazz bands havent come out yet ???????? why
3. i just found 2 new keys that dont work on my clarinet and i realised that i broke the barrel even more
4. also we have no fhorns cos they all moved up or are still in the band below which is sad but also wtf why we deserve fhorns
5. mhgfgjhkgybj i thought the tree licker was gone but i forgot she also does percussion so i still have to deal with her unfortunately (she moved up for trumpet btw)
6. why did s move down a band he deserves better
7. my sister didnt move up to the top band but other worse people did and thats not ok she deserves better
8. why. are. there. no. jazz. bands. yet.
9. c should have moved up she was the best out of all of us but yet shes still in my band (shes first clari tho)
10. why did n move up a band. wait. did he replace s. he better have fucking not.
11. i broke a reed earlier and now im sad
12. l is still one of our percussionists. for the third year in a row. aaaaaaaaaaa why must we suffer this way
13. why are there only 9 clarinets. there were 19 of us last year 14. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY FLUTES
15. how dare jem move up now i have no one to subtly flip off from across the band
16. WE HAVE NO OBOES???????????????
17. we have 1 (one) bassoon
18. i think they made us have 3 different types of saxophone to make up for the fact that we have so little instruments (bad idea)
19. why did they combine treble voices and the boys choir that was a terrible idea
20. why are there so many concerts next term
21. why doesnt wb2 have a tuba ????? 22. why does wb4 only have alto saxophones ?????
23. how the actual fuck did y not move up at least to my band if not higher she deserves it
24. they spelt one of my friends names wrong
25. did n just die cos she definitely still plays flute but isnt in any band
26. one of my best friends will have to share a stand with b who doesnt understand the concept of deodorant i wish her the best of luck
27. unrelated but i think i lost my glasses (again)
28. also m just got completely forgotten too
29. i have to deal with ms e for another full year
30. i do not want to sing with the combined choir cos half of them dont want to be there and i also hate chris with a passion

📝 2022 Review

💌 Most popular fic
Obscene, I think! This was a tough call. Hits, kudos, bookmarks, comments? The ratio of hits to all else?? My brain doesn't like math so let's scratch that last one. But my top for hits and kudos is Obscene and it ranks very high in the other areas so...yeah! Besides, the people love their smut, don't they? Makes me glad! Gave me a lot of trouble to write. I was worried about writing a/b/o for the first time, especially since it was going to be a gift for a friend. It was also written for Kinkuary and I wasn't sure I was going to get it done in time, but indeed I did!
Also I commissioned LuEndland art for it which is very spicy and delicious! (You can see that at the end of the fic!)

Anyway if you're new here, hi, Contempt is my pride and joy, my heart and soul, the best thing I've ever written, and I'm not sure anything will ever top it.
This is THE Snarry for me. The Snarry I always wanted. Snarry as I always envisioned it. Nineteen years of my obsession with this ship. A decade or more of this specific idea; a decade and more of it marinating and spreading and seeping into every part of me. And I spent, what, a month or more in front of Scrivener, pulling out hair and bashing my head into the wall writing this story. This story is built on my bones, written in my blood, blessed by my tears.
This all sounds very dramatic, but it was a very intense process for a very intense story. And it turned out to be everything I hoped and dreamed it would be, and more. This is the story of my loves, the story I always longed for, and it exists now and I created it!!!! How awesome is that???? It still blows my mind, even though it's been seven months since it was posted, eight since it was finished. Their story still haunts my dreams, thus my dedication to its sequel.
Even cooler: there's a podfic (plus cover art!) by the ever talented MrVillain. I also had an embroidery commissioned from onbeinganangel for it!
💣 Most unexpected fic
Orange Blossoms. I was a bit torn and half tempted to pick my dead dove monstrosity In My Veins (In My Blood.) But no, I think it is Orange Blossoms. All I had in mind was my desire to write at least one fic for HP Flowers, and it had to be Snarry. Snarry + flowers for my birthday, just me combining my favorite things all for myself! I was resigned to writing a very short, very simple fic.
Instead, the story grew and become something more. The darkness of war, the sweetness and scariness of romance. The importance of tradition. How far people are willing to go to cling to hope, and faith, and love. It is a story of beauty in the darkness and grimness. All the symbolism I played with, between not only the flowers, but colors and other aspects. So much thought and care went into every detail. It was such a blast to write, and I'm glad the story grew and bloomed the way it did!

But I'll be damned if I let those people drive me away from the stories I love. So I will finish this fic full of determination and maybe a smidgeon of pettiness.
Scarry fic: past Snarry, current Scarry, family drama + romance.
Good Daddy: fic I've been writing for way too long that's part of the Yes, Daddy series. All the praise kink!!
Sugar Daddy fic: Harry is Snape's sugar daddy. That's all you need to know.

Got my new tablet, yay! Now I shall be back on to actually being on here more actively.
But in other news, I got a cat! His name is Freddy and he's absolutely baby. My moving out has been a bit delayed but it's picking back up, I'll be able to stay over at my new place to take care of my cat while I'm moving the rest of my stuff in. I got pillows and bedsheets today, and I already have loads of blankets already.
I won't be able to take Rover with me, but he's in good hands of my sister, so I'm not worried. I know he'll miss me, but I'll be sure to visit him.
Sometimes I think back to when I was 15, when I could never see myself escaping my parents' house, I think they would be proud and happy that we made it to the point where we can.
I do worry for the rest of my siblings that still are going to live there, I shall do my best to be there for them even when I'm not longer living there with them.
Oh! And healing process wise, I've been doing better. I don't talk about it much, but Loki has been helping me with that. Honestly out of all of the things my 15 year old self would be surprised by, it's gotta be that the Norse heathen part, just imagining what their reaction would have been gives me a chuckle.
Anyways that all said, that is my official life update post. Wish whoever reads this the best of luck on their own journey. To my followers, how are you guys still here? You're amazing and silly. To my mutuals, about to fill up your dashes with out of touch thursday, mwhahahahahahaha! Love y'all <3

I've decided to write it after my exams get over and it's my first time writing a johnlock fic (any fic for that matter 😅) ... so if u could give me some tips on how to proceed with writing the fic I would be much grateful 🙏🏻

First off, OH YAY PLEASE WRITE IT!! So exciting!!
I actually answered a VERY similar ask a couple years ago where Nonny wanted to write a ficlet but didn't know how to start. And I have a small compilation of advice posts on this mini-masterpost here. The second link has basically the advice from all the other past posts I've done compiled into a small point-form list, hah hah.
But if you want what I do: Literally I just open up a Google doc and write "snippets" and then piece them together EVENTUALLY. I'm very slow at writing, and I have a LOT of half-written ficlets on my Google Docs right now, hahah. I find I just need the right motivation to go back to them once in awhile. I keep them on a Docs so that if I think of something to add to them while I'm out, I can access them from my phone and add onto them, LOL.
But yeah, again, I'm not the best person to ask about writing, even though I've answered a lot of asks about it, and other authors seem to think my advice was decent so yay lol. I know many authors plot out their stories, as do I when I write longer stories, but for me ficlets are just "bursts of inspiration" I jot down, and then later go back to flesh out and clean up when I have some free time.

Summary: Sir Damien is a committed, dedicated knight with a shining record and spotless reputation. Barring, of course, his one minor indiscretion, his singular, secret exception. It is not as if a monster would- could care for him in any meaningful way, after all. The idea is impossible; as impossible as the idea of Sir Damien possessing any feelings whatsoever for the monster in return.

Before Damien leaves in the afternoon, after her brothers depart, Rilla gives Damien a proper examination. When finished, she chews on her knuckle thoughtfully for a long moment. She sighs, and then she puts the roll of bandages back away, unused.
"I think you're good to stop wrapping it," she says when Damien gives her a baffled look. "And that doesn't mean you're good to return to duty early, don't get me wrong, but- I think the bandaging is past use at this point. We'll be switching salves, too, now that it's pretty much closed up."
She turns for the cupboards, then, humming as she rummages, and Damien glances down at the mark on his side (thumbs above and below the bandages, hands steady on his side) and notes just how well it has healed. Better than any injury he's suffered in years, perhaps. And she's right; it's fairly well closed, by now. The bandages are past use.
"Now," she says, still looking into the cupboards rather than towards him, "I know that a lot of knights sort of brag on their scars and all that, but scar tissue isn't particularly healthy tissue and the more we can do to minimize the permanent damage, the better, yeah?"
She turns, gently tossing a glass jar back and forth in her hands, and Damien realizes after a belated moment that the question was not rhetorical. He nods, a little dubiously. "I do not suspect that one more scar atop the rest would affect me one way or the other," he admits. "But I would certainly not dare disobey my doctor."

Gilmore Girls - LANE AND ZACH. where did they even come from? out of thin air that's where. Lane deserved her happy ending with Dave Rygalski and I will die on this hill.
Teen Wolf - (brace yourself) Lydia and Parrish. Malia and Parrish. Melissa and Argent. wtf? at this point I'm pretty sure Jeff Davis just played chits and picked his ships randomly. All of Parrish's ships are ew (that's just his luck unfortunately) and Melissa with Peter would have been the best choice are you kidding me? ARGENT AND MELISSA'S KIDS WERE TOGETHER, and not even fwb-together. like SOULMATE together!
Grey's Anatomy - Addison and Alex. They couldn't cash in major potential there. She was the right amount of bitchy to get him off his macho ass. Not everyone has to sleep with everyone Miss Shonda! Also, Teddy and Owen. They're best as friends, because (i hate to admit this) Teddy was right in s18 (was it 19, i think it was 19?) when she told Link to stay away from Jo because marrying best friends and then hating them in marriage is sad.
10. Most disliked arc? Why?
RNM - Again, the Max-Anatsa storyline. It's like, again, they played chits with who she should be with. My Max is not the one-night stand kinda guy (which I'm proud of, representation of my soul) and him sleeping with Anatsa and then just dropping her is WACKY. Isobel and Anatsa were so much better, and had good development
Nancy Drew - Park's arc. The writers had the potential in their very hands and chucked it themselves. Park as the ISM/FHK would have made so much sense, it would have been the best direction for his appearance.
TVD - The entire Alaric x Caroline thing. HATED THAT. HATED THAT the way Ashley Ippolito hates Nate Jacobs. He's like 15 years older than her and IS HER BEST FRIEND'S STEPDAD. And the Alaric and Stefan pissing contest for Caroline. Dear writers you didn't give Caroline Forbes the Elle Woods arc she deserved to put her in this dump of a situation!
Gilmore Girls - Married Dean cheating thing. "He's MY Dean" Rory honey go touch some grass and juggle some balls. He's fucking married and as your mother once said "Solidarity Sister". Lindsey wasn't all that bad, and she definitely deserved better than being cheated on at the age of 19.
Teen Wolf - Argent and Melissa. Explained above. Notice how in the movie, Argent and Melissa didn't really have any romantic/close scene without a third wheel (thank God)? It's like Jeff Davis finally realized that oh shit, aren't their respective kids the main reason this all started?
Grey's Anatomy - Jackson and Maggie. Just— NO.

Nancy Drew - everyone loves everyone in this one. so I can't really say anything divergent
RNM - i think we love everyone right?
TVD - VIncent Griffith (does he count? idk but I love his humor and badassery). Oh, and also Valerie Tulle. She was sweet while she lasted wasn't she? I honestly saw more in Stellerie than in Steroline (why you booing me when I'm right!)
Gilmore Girls - Lindsey. Just because her taste in music is different from Rory and Jess's, doesn't mean she's not a good human. She tried so much to keep her marriage afloat, and I've never seen her be rude like Rory to Shane.
Grey's Anatomy - Sam Bello (basically foetus Liz Ortecho) because she's the sweetest most bubbly thing after firecrackers in honey.

I think if the audience is 21+, I can do GA 😂 I went to see Epik High recently and most of the audience were in their 20s or older, so it was less chaotic. Not to be that adult LOL, but sometimes, the younger fans are kinda wildin' and disrespectful 😅 Epik High isn't like one of my favorite favorite groups (they were my intro into Kpop), so I wasn't expecting myself to be knocked off my feet, but I was LOL! It was just like fun and chill vibes. I feel like the audience can really make or break your experience.

Omg omg omg omg!!! My turn to go wild!! LOL. So long story, short when it comes to SVT: I was a casual fan for a long time, but only started during L&R era. I'm embarrassed to admit, but the combo of Kidult and Mingyu really shoved me to explore their discography (and them as a group LOL) further 😂😅 All this to say, I've only been a carat for ~3-ish years now, so I'm sure there are other ppl who can give you a more seasoned and in-depth look into their discography, but I'll make a separate post sharing my favorite pieces from them! Noted about HHU - Wonwoo/Mingyu were 2 of my very first biases, so I definitely have stuff for you LOL.
RED VELVET MY GIRLS!!!! In my humble opinion, their concept is so timeless - I hope they last a long time 🥺 I definitely went through a Taeyeon phase as well a few years ago (was it really a few or more? T^T) LOL. Why is still my favorite from her!!
The way I was just vibrating when you mentioned StayC LOL - I have friend who LOVES them with all her heart and it's so cute and fun to see y'all be big fans of them!! I did listen to YOUNG-LUV.COM and agree so much!!! I think Young Luv was definitely in my Top 10 most played on Spotify this year hahaha.
LSFM is probably my second most favorite gg after Red Velvet 🥺😭 I mostly started following because I wanted to support Yunjin who I've been keeping my eye out for since her green melona basement room days 😭 (yes, the same one as SVT LMAO). She used to be a Pledis trainee, but then got bounced around a lot between different agencies because she never quite fit any of the concepts. It warmed my heart when she debuted after almost giving up! I ended up really liking LSFM overall after watching their docu-series and then the Anti-Fragile comeback! Blue Flame and No Celestial have a chokehold on me hahaha.
Have you heard Lovin' Me by Fifty Fifty!!!?? I think you might like it a lot!!! I have no idea who they are either lmao, but I really liked that one!! 100/10 would recommend checking out XG - I think they have something a little different to offer the kpop gg scene and it's refreshing! They're latest comeback was really good 🤩

HIHIHII I'M SORRY FOR BEING LATE- *ahem* so here's my secret santa gift for @softinnit :DDD you said that you liked sbi, and after a quick snoop in your blog - finding out that you were canadian (hello fellow canada inhabitant!! o//) - i got inspired to make an sbi version of the beavertail shacks/huts that they install at the Rideau Canal during winter ^-^ (bear in mind, with much creative liberty-)
and in no ways am i assuming that you've ever been to or know of these, i just thought it'd be a cool concept :)
~ we have techno making absolutely no progress shoveling snow, wilbur tapping out a jolly beat, toms being just...straight-up overworked- (god i'm so sorry tommy-), and old man phil just chillin' ~
