The moss spread on the water, like a sweater on your skin
The moss spread on the water, like A sweater on your skin. I hear the hissing of my just frothed coffee, As low as the dropping of a pin in silence, (That is if anyone has patiently heard it, Similes are sometimes born of ignorance you know Like the unheard melodies of Keats' urn) Outside I again see grass growing from between the tar and pavement blocks Two thin, delicate stems against the world…

Veil Of Winter
It blew and blew, the winter wind, It blew to kiss my window pane; A kiss it was, like lovers do, Two bodies entwined in a firefly lane. Late is the winter sun to rise, I stoke embers beneath the mantlepiece; Sweater and stockings and scarves and gloves, By the fire I thaw my frozen bones. Snow falls from sky a spectre grey, It's white, it's white, it's white allwhere; On branches and boughs…

I'm so terribly sad and don't have a reason. My heart constantly aches, and I'm tired of reminding myself every day that I'm fine, safe, and loved.
I'm so afraid of being a burden, terrified of being abandoned. Every inch of my spiritual body hurts, and it's winter, so there are no distractions from it.
My friends don't call, don't write. I don't want to tell them how I feel ]because I fear they will sense it— the odor of sadness, the stench of neediness. I worry that I love them more than they love me.
And I know this feeling is not entirely mine. This relentless craving to be needed is not unique to me. All my aunts have it; they all yearn to be loved. They become sad when they're not visited or called, upset if you don't respond to a text within an hour. They also share that anxious feeling of protecting themselves from the risk of not being loved, preventing it by running away.

Like a refrain at the end of a song snow drifts down Softly, slowly as if knowing it’s not here to stay Gone is the roar and bite in its place there’s warmth and sparkling beauty to leave us with the best memory of what it means to live in Winter.

QOTD: How do you define death? Welcoming or scary? Beginning or end? I know this is a bit weird question, but again why not, this is something which will happen to all, it is eventually ours. And we are living to meet this end someday, isn't? For me death is welcoming and beginning.. And I have read this book, which I find worthy of mentioning here with this intense topic, DEATH. ~BOOK REVIEW~ WINTER POEMS by @authorsabarna I generally live reading poetry and am always amazed by the various experimental writing styles of the authors/ poets. I read this book with 60 pages full of experiments, different perspectives and much more. The poems are soo much drenched with love, affection, care that I do not have words to express. The themes of death and life struck me somewhere in the heart. I am completely mesmerized by the thought of how deep the poets imagination is. It's totally commendable. Winter as a season is dry and rough for many and so is life of people, drawing a comparison between the two gets me drooling over my life and how dull it is these days. The imagery, metaphors, smilies are all very intense and deep rooted in the poets imagination. Not for a moment I felt out of place. Reading and re-reading the entire book twice gave me sense of belonging to the poems. I loved the book immensely. Also, the language is quite easy, both to read and understand. And at moments you might feel to read few lines again and again, that's what the writing does to readers. #mastersliterature#mastersliteraturereviews#mastersliteraturereads#mastersliteraturebookpromotions#lucknowblogger#lucknowbookstagram#indianbookstagram#indianbookstagrammer#booksof2021#bookwormaesthetics#readforlifesake#sabarnaroy#winterpoems#deathandlife#poetrybooksof2021#readpoerty#newbooks#indianbookstagramers#psychologicalbooks (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQjYVl8rUhe/?utm_medium=tumblr

in twenty years or forty, whether i’m still clutching your hand or my own, the first snow of winter will still make me tear up like it did when i was younger. i hope we get everything we wanted someday i will stay up late during the winter solstice and write letters to the moon and pretend like no heart in the history of humanity has ever been broken.

D.H. Lawrence Winter in the Boulevard
THE frost has settled down upon the trees And ruthlessly strangled off the fantasies Of leaves that have gone unnoticed, swept like old Romantic stories now no more to be told. https://americanliterature.com/author/d-h-lawrence/poem/winter-in-the-boulevard

February
The sky dressed in grey, trees crowned with silver, for day after day, the wind makes us shiver.
The sky dressed in grey, the world dressed as clowns, the humans just play, in all kind of gowns.
The sky dressed in grey, for parades and show, weeping away, confetti and snow.

It Comes in Waves 🌊🌻
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most things comes in waves
The seasons and seas
the cool spring breeze
Take a moment to relax
Maybe enjoy a face mask
Don’t think about any upcoming tasks
Take a deep breath, nice and slow
As you release letting the air go...
Close your eyes and imagine the skies
The sounds of nature in you space
instead of the city’s fast pace
take a moment to envision yourself swaying slowly with the breeze
by a field , the forest , or in the seas--take in the moment--you must seize
these short moments of life
that make you feel most at ease
