Listen I am ALL for the whole "Hunter Totally Has a crush on Willow BUT doesn't Know it because He never felt it Before / he hasn't been exposed To that much romance" I mean It's pretty Much Canon With the whole deleted scene lol.

BUT I'm not necesarily Sold in the whole. He Finds Out Because He asks someone about it, or someone hints at it and they Talk. Mainly because I don't Think Hunter Would want to discuss it?

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for him socializing and interacting with other characters. But, This Boy was raised On the Idea That he Could never talk about the things He loved, like Flapjack and wildmagic, Because Belos, Mind you the person he trusted and loved the most, didn't Like It. (Plus we know belos opinion on romance too...). Hell, Talking about this things too much Could even get him killed.

Therefore BOOKS had always been His main source of information when it came to things he found intriguing, confusing, fascinating, etc. When He had a question about wild magic he went to the classified section of The EC Library. When He Found Out he was a grimwalker and had an identity crisis over it, The LAST thing he wanted to do was Talk to his new friends About it. Instead opting to read Everything he could Find On grimwalkers

That's Why I PERSONALLY think Hunter finds out about his crush on Willow while reading a Romance Novel.

He starts Noticing The Confusing Feelings around His captain. The Usual: Heart Palpitation, red Face, tingling in the stomach, etc. At first, He's a little curious But He has more important things in mind. But With time and Finally out of mortal danger They start growing and becoming sort of a nuisance. mostly embarrasing.

Intrigued And Kind of worried He instantly Stacks up On Healing Track Books (and some potion/plant/oracle track books too Just in case) trying to Find the specific ailment, or curse he acquired and learn How to get rid of it.

He Finds SOME possible things and, even tries some remedies, But Nothing Serves His situation. Until in the middle of his research, just grabbing books at random at this point, he finds a romance novel, Flapjack Probably sneaked into the Pile To help This Boy Out. Skimming Through It He finds The description Of What He's Feeling. "Hey This is Exactly How I feel About the Captain! I THINK THIS IS IT, FLAPJACK"

He goes Back to the start of the book and starts reading. The Prose is clearly different from the medical Books But This one has the information he needs! He eats the book up, Almost cant put it down. He gets genuinely invested in the charcters and their story. And even Started to imagine himself and willow In some of the romantic scenes the characters shared. At One Point The Characters Held Hands And He was reminded of the First Time He and willow Did the same. (No, he was Not Blushing. SHUT UP FLAPJACK)

All Is well Until Near the end When the characters Kiss.

"W-Wait, WHAT?" Hunter Drops The Book. Face Completely Red. "They Do WHAT"

Hunter Is completely Shocked and bewildered. He can barely speak, Because He doesn't know Much About romance. But he does Know... THAT... its almost exclusively Romatic. Something Couples did. Something He Just Imagined Him And HIS CAPTAIN DOING!

His stomach Started Tingling and He Blushed Even Harder. He realises he doesn't Hate the Idea. In fact, He REALLY likes it???

WAIT, was he supposed To be Thinking like THAT about his captain? WAS he supposed To do THAT with WILLOW? IS THIS-?

Oh....OH.

Hunter Doesnt move for at least an hour

My bkdk fic Recs!

The Way You Used to Do (complete) by @edema--ruh hands down the best bkdk slow burn angst fic ever. It’s well known in the bkdk community and it’s so good! It’s very angsty and very long, but when I say it’s worth it, it’s worth it. No joke I’ve seriously considered learning book-binding just so I can print this out to read like a book. It’s centered around Katsuki mainly. This is a very long fic but seriously it’s worth it! I’ve read it twice!

A Study in Kacchan (ongoing) by @dekusneakers This is such a wonderful slice of life, fluffy fic! Following Izuku and Katsuki navigate their new relationship is such a nice and cute thing!

I'm so honored you want to know more about my dnd characters (I would also love to hear about your ocs btw), I could talk about them for hours so I will just pick one I haven't been asked about yet.

So about Thelise, my wildmagic sorcerer who I am currently playing:

1: Why did they choose their classes? Their subclasses?

It family tradition for Thelise's noble house to be schooled in the arcane arts by the most prestigious school in the kingdom, and Thelise showed a gift for magic from a very young age. Unfortunately, her family didn't want to send their illegitimate child out into the world and remind the other noble houses of their infidelity. So despite her gifts, Thelise was never allowed to attend the academy but she still practiced with magic every chance she got. However, with her especially powerful magic and no training it tends to surge and accidentally backfire, hence wildmagic sorcerer.

3: What is their goal right now?

Thelise's main goal is to get revenge on her family as when she ran into legal trouble, they took the opportunity to try and get rid of her. She managed to escape execution, and now she is biding her time until she can bring ruin to the House of Arelen.

5: Do they follow a higher power? What is their thoughts on divinity?

Yes, the culture she lives in is polytheistic and since the gods are provably real and very active, almost everyone worships at least a couple gods. Thelise especially venerates the usurper god of the moon Tiran. Tiran is evil but promises the downtrodden and abused the chance to rise up and overturn the society they live in. Worshiping Tiran publicly is a good way to get imprisoned though so she keeps it a secret. Generally she thinks the gods are just fixed forces of existence, they are unchangeable and undeniable.

34: What party member do they go to in a crisis?

Her best friend is a tiefling chronomancer in the party named Asini. Asini consistently sticks up for and helps Thelise so now Thelise is her ride or die friend. They tend to balance each other out and Thelise can trust Asini with most of her secrets and problems. (Asini and Thelise below at a masquerade ball the party went to a while ago)

Hey! Hi! Hello!

This is a side blog for diggingforkuponuts. I made it as a sounding board for my dumb ideas and as a way to remember ideas and happenings in my BG3 plays to offset my poor memory. And a place to collect amazing stuff from other wonderful people.

If you happen to think one of my dumb ideas is smart or like one of my silly lil ocs and then it’s not dumb! And you’re smart! I just self depreciate a lot as a humor tactic. I don’t actually believe any of the self-depreciation I do so it’s fine!

Anyway, I’m on mobile so comments, follows, and likes will come from my main.

I have a few Tavs and Durges with fully fleshed backstories and relationships and lore and stuff but I’m bad at cultivating and recording and in general not being overly anxious about oversharing and using the wrong tags so most of the stuff I come up with stay in my head, drafts box and my screenshots. Hello, I have a couple of questions about two of your one-shots that I've been affectionately rereading!

One is for I miss a feeling (that I've never had before).

“Cay-leb! Did you have a good nap?” Jester chirped.

“Good enough,” Caleb shrugged, then frowned. “I am not sure how well I am going to sleep, until after--” There was a mrrrpp noise as Frumpkin made his presence known by hopping up onto the table, and Caleb finally spied Essek. His frown disappeared. “Oh! Essek. I did not hear you come in. I am glad you are able to join us.”

Essek wondered what Caleb had originally been about to say, but offered him a small smile, his heart beating a little faster.

What was it that Caleb intended to say here before Frumpkin mrrrpp'd?

The second one is for the delicate thing you prize so much. Since Caleb only dreamhopped into Essek's dreams just the two times and both more or less ended with kisses, can you tell us how Caleb's handling getting forcefully kissed the very first time he tried visiting Essek in sleep? And did he play a part in the Nein's decision to give the artifact to the Bright Queen when they did because he wanted to see Essek? Or was that too much of the shipper-side in me connecting dots where there were none lol

Anyway this last one's less of a question and more of a gushing exercise but I really enjoy the way you write Beau in your fics! I'm not sure how to explain it but I can almost hear the dice being rolled for her insight checks when she was gauging Essek's intentions in their interactions. Apart from that the dialogues in your fics are fun to read and they always feel in-character, right down to the pauses and the inflections.

Oh, I love the specificity of these questions!

In i miss a feeling (that I never had before), what was Caleb about to say before Frumpkin interrupted him?

This is the very first fic I wrote for Critical Role, which makes me fond of it, and I’m glad you enjoy it enough to re-read it :).

To answer: the story is set in canon just before the M9 attend their dinner with Ikithon, and so at that point, Caleb was stressed about the upcoming confrontation. He was going to say something to the effect of “I am not sure how well I am going to sleep, until after this business with Ikithon is done.” Bonus info: Frumpkin interrupted him on purpose, knowing Essek was there, and knowing the M9 (and Caleb in particular) might not want to share details with him. Hope that satisfies your curiosity!

In the delicate thing you prize so much, what was Caleb’s immediate/offscreen reaction to being abruptly kissed?

Surprise, confusion, and ultimately, that could be very nice to try again, if all else is good. When Caleb disappeared from the shared dream (thanks to interference from Aeorian wildmagic, the enemy of arcane cell reception in this fic) his first thoughts were about whether Essek was alright, since he seemed distressed and was acting out of character. It’s why he asked Jester to send Essek a message, too, to try and see if he was okay. Luckily they were able to work it all out :)

Did Caleb influence the Nein’s decision to give the Aeorian artifact to the Bright Queen so he could see Essek?

Not particularly - he would have suggested they go to Xhorhas anyway, artifact or not. If there’d been no artifact it just would have been a general visit, though he might have had to spill more details to the Nein to justify why. So was he glad of the excuse? Certainly.

The diet thing had been easier to stick to the longer he stayed away from home, but the sleeping schedule proved to be more difficult when he couldn’t help his nerves. “I guess, but that’s easier said than done, Viktor. I can try to take some sleeping aids or-”

“Wait a second,” Viktor snorted. “Wasn’t last night the night I fell asleep on the couch and you were in the bed?”

Yuuri’s face burned red, the blush creeping up from his cheeks to the tips of his ears. Of course that was the problem. And Viktor had no problem heavily implying it, a knowing grin on his face.

“Y-yes…” Yuuri sighs. “I… I just have an easier time grounding myself when you’re around. It’s hard to escape my thoughts when it’s just me.”

Viktor’s smile softened and he placed his hand on Yuuri’s cheek. “I know. And that’s alright, sometimes we just need someone there to keep us calm. I promise I’ll do my best not to fall asleep on the couch, and I want you to know that if I do, and you need me, you’re more than welcome to wake me up and drag me back to bed so that I can be there for you.”

It was almost too much to hear Viktor being his supportive self. Even though he could be quite dry and to the point sometimes, he always had a way of coming around when Yuuri really needed it and it made his chest fill with a familiar warmth that always lingered when he and Viktor were close.

“Thank you, Viktor,” he said quietly, putting his head on the other’s shoulder.

“Of course, Yuuri.” Viktor pressed a kiss to his forehead then wrapped his arms around him. “Try to take a bit of a nap. I’ll wake you in time for dinner, alright?”

Yuuri hummed in response, already starting to drift off. Having Viktor close eased him so quickly. No matter how many problems he had swimming around his head, trying to bring him down, Yuuri knew that they could all be faced. As long as he had Viktor there with him, he would be alright.
