I feel like people who are generally around kids would be great around us and some others .... Less so (*cough cough* ei)
AND EVEN BETTER
WHAT IF ENGLISH ISN'T OUR FIRST LANGUAGE AND IT SUMTGING LIKE FRENCH OR SPANISH, AND THE ACOLYTES ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE TEYING TO TALK TO YOU WHILE 14 YEAR OLD READER IS CURLED UP IN A BALL CUS THEY'RE SCARED LSKFJGJDLSK
let the tennage/ kid reader be neurodivergent/autistic (cuz i am and theres bot enough rep on this god forsaken app .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.)
n E wayss <3
LOVE YA !!!!
Aka. your fave >:D kiss kiss
Tumblr media
A KISS KISS??!!! FOR ME?!!! 😊🥰😚 <3
BRO i literally designed a whole original character around that concept lmao (except they remember/just body change/everything else kinda matches ur desc! :0 )

no bc gif is me as a kid, bc I didn't experience snow until I was 12 💀 +it stayed for like one day, was 1 inch deep, or like 5 cm (for my non-americans out there), and was gone the next lmao- I was terrified when I moved and got REAL snowy days- jfc Snezhnaya would kill little me-
SO I was kinda stuck on this tbh, i usually default to like, headcanons or scenarios if ppl dont specify/im just adding onto what you already said like when its not even really a request u know?
so, uh tried to do headcanons, but idk how good it is Orah, sorry!
Also ik you mentioned as example, but we sticking to Inazuma, bc i feel like I neglect them lol
also i hope u like Itto 💀
you quickly found out that magic obeys some weird type of logic despite being magic, so you only ever fluctuate in age within the range you’ve already been,
ur kinda glad youre not seeing what you look like at 100 years old and getting stuck that way for weeks- only Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle can be cursed to be old yet has so much rizz that she’s still badass and pulls a wizard boyfriend LMAO
so just bc idk what to make the max,
let’s put you at originally, also bc im not a minor, 20 yrs old
so what I mean by all the above is: you’ve lived 2 decades, 1-20 are the only ages you can be
-that being said,
you’re a menace.
so yeah you could’ve been a quiet kid, a well-behaved kid, a good kid even,
…but not in a magical world full of awesome flora and fauna, and magical creatures,
and gods, and vision users and-
you get the point.
plus, you hadn’t really learned English yet until u were a bit older so (who can blame you i hate this language ur so valid)
and for whatever reason English is the only one these guys speak, besides maybe some mythical creatures like the aranara or something
so its kinda absolute chaos trying to reign u in at times.
so needless to say the entirety of Inazuma is terrified for you.
like, even if you aren’t the “Creator” per say in this, they still know what the warmth of your power feels like
But more importantly-
You know who’s the first to spot a random wandering-non-Inazuman-child? And take you in? Especially one that radiates that same energy of presence they feel sometimes + makes them more powerful???
The Amazing, the All-Powerful, Awe-Inspiring Oni: Arataki Itto!
Not even his gang, or Kuki are the first to see you, nah it’sItto himself,
he literally finds 12 yr old you just sneaking around in awe in Chinju Forest,
and needless to say ur pretty fascinated with the colors and the vibes, and it’s not like Genshin Impact existed when u were this young, ur poor younger self is just rlly paranoidly looking around
Itto is kinda a lot at first, and he was a little confused by ur constant rubbing your arms, or tapping ur fingers on stuff, (or all the stims u be doing when ur nervous) but he just took it all in stride
so Itto, after like an hour and a few well placed rocks at his face and groin by 12 yr old u who was ready to fight to the death at first, FINALLY convinced you by drawing a little picture of his house and his friends
and all that clear effort, despite the foreign world, foreign non-human guy, etc., made you warm up to him too, afterall, even 12 yr old you knew a himbo when they saw one 💪
at first he just thought you were another person who was getting powered up by that yokai he felt (he was convinced thats what you were when u weren’t physically here before, like some kind of powerful gift giving/deal making yokai)
but after he saw you shapeshift the next morning into 16 yr old you, (he lives with his grandma so ur younger self felt pretty safe staying with a himbo guy and an little grandma lady)
he was now more convinced than ever-
that you were some kind of god that’s been in hiding since the archon war (his granny has a lot of cool stories so what?! hes a very educated oni thank you very much!),
rather than a vision user, and he also thinks u being random ages is deffo a curse, and its to keep ur powerfulness limited!! - Arataki Itto, 202X
(bc younger u doesnt remember that u can upgrade ppl, or at least it takes em a learning curve bc they gotta relearn everytime)
okay but itd be so funny tho if nobody else believes that (esp the non-magical folk), bc to them, ur just like, a bunch of siblings (child, teen, adult you lmao) or a tanuki lol
he eventually gets Kuki to believe, after she also sees how you change/the aura is honestly more powerful too once she’s paying attention, like instead of like a blanket, ur like standing in front of a raging campfire
but she makes him keep it a secret
ur really vulnerable a lot of the time, so they’re both worried abt keeping u happy and safe, aw cuties <3
so yeah, ur literally just chillin with the arataki gang all the time now
the gang become ur besties no matter the age, like they love mild pranks, and general chaos, u wanna explore no matter the age, and also love chaos, esp since it can be magical now (oh child you is having the time of their life when they’re around)
its literally a match made in heaven
plus the more hands on deck, the easier it is to keep ur ass from running off as a kid (and an adult, bc omg a shiny?? a shiny crystal fly???!! lmao neurodivergent 🤝crow/raven = shiny solidarity)
honestly Itto has a blast with all versions of you, and he’s literally the best bc he’s a himbo:
so he’s fine with answering context or “obvious” questions all the time LMAO
and if he makes any conclusions abt ppl’s behavior u dont, he’ll explain pretty quick and simple and he never sees it as awkward or smth
its honestly kinda funny bc ur like 10, and just 🤨🤨🤨??? sometimes at ppl (u got better at reading ppl as u got older obv, and at english too, that doesnt help lol)
he’s super sweet abt it, just really quick which is great too,
“he’s irritated at the guard, not us!”
or “she’s relieved, not upset, don’t worry it’s all good!”
like, u never misunderstand ANYBODY with this Oni around!! <3
(this is mainly bc Itto’s gotta know when to bail, joke, stand his ground, etc. from experience, and messing w/Kujou Sara so he’s actually really good at reading people, only when he’s paying attention tho)
so younger u just feels safe around Itto, and so while u do get taught english (mostly by his grandma/Kuki) u also dont rlly mask,
nor do u know how to mask as well as you do in the future
so ur just running around with the gang, living ur little neurodivergent life, and anytime someone points out smth u do that might be awkward, like repeating something over and over as a stim (esp with learning english phrases/new words at times) the gang and Itto, and Kuki, are all ready to protect 💪
but most of the time what happens is- whether unintentionally or not, Itto manages to make THEM feel awkward or like they’re the ones doing something socially weird all the time 😭
just, a parent is like “this kid can’t speak English, do they even know any other language? Because all I keep hearing is them repeating that sound over and over…”
Itto: “Damn you're right they do that a lot, just like how you peek out your window a lot, but we all got our quirks man, no need to be shy about it, the kid isn’t, so just open those curtains, and that window and look out at the world!”
which announces to the whole neighborhood, bc Itto is only ever not loud when you tap his arm as a signal, that the parent is the nosiest bitch ever, he just puts them on blast for everyone to hear lmao
Itto is actually very respectful about you, and while it would, almost be easy bc of the age switching, for him to infantilize you, he’s really good at treating you like an equal no matter how old you are :0 :D
like a giant teddy bear older brother at times, and the guys and Kuki are all pretty good at it too
(tho dw, Kuki is doing all the emotional distress heavy lifting for all of them over your safety, esp bc when u switch at first u are VERY out of your element/disoriented bc u dont always recognize Teyvat/know less English)
but that being said…
Itto fucking loves your excited/happy stims!!!
You flap your hands? Ittos flapping his arms!
You jump up and down, Itto jumps!,
…with his full grown man self with MUSCLES, and causes a mini earthquake wherever you guys are- yknow a shop, the center of town, somebody’s house, near one of the guards 💀 (which always manages to knock them flat on their ass LMFAOO)
Or best of all, you do little stompy stomps??
ITTO DOES HIS STOMPS WITH YOU, like his idle animation does??? :D !!
DUDE- (/gen.n.)
u were like 8 at the time, and saw Kujou Sara for the first time, she’s looking all badass, mostly bc Itto pranked her and she’s power-walking toward u guys pissed as hell ready to arrest him, but u love it anyway bc shes so cool, and right as Sara gets to u two-
u start doing stompy stomps! And Itto joins!!
…and she’s shocked at first, but realizing how giggly and happy u two are, and then Itto explains its bc of her???
Kujou Sara lets Arataki Itto go, for the first time, ever.
she doesnt explain, but she literally was so melted by cuteness, and a warm familiarity??, by u two she couldnt be mad anymore lmao
Itto is now legally obligated to bring you to any and all matters involving the government, regardless of age, according to Kuki Shinobu, his grandma, and himself
all for different reasons tho, Itto’s like, “My lucky charm! My bestie goes everywhere with me!”
meanwhile Kuki/grandma: “A foreign non-Teyvatian speaking child/teen at times is more adept at keeping Itto in line than anyone else, or at least getting him out of the consequences 💀”
Bonus:
The first time you see the Raiden Shogun,
She scares the shit out of 6 yr old you 😭
And she recognizes that familiar aura immediately, so shes just like:
😶😦😰
(You warm up to her after she offers to show you how she can summon lightning, Itto helped her lmao, and Ei also came out to keep u safe bc Raiden is a little… unaware… at times, of mortal limits, and now that ur in a mortal body-)
Also both of them unanimously agree to be the sugar mother to all ur hyperfixation foods/safe foods ever, SCOREEEE
Bonus 2:
*KUKI WOULD LIKE THE COLLECTIVE CITY OF INAZUMA TO KNOW SHE DOES NOT APPROVE OF ITTO TEACHING U ENGLISH CUSSWORDS
I hope somebody likes Itto enough to enjoy this, sorry if u arent a huge fan of him Orah! I just think he's annoying and neat, and havent written abt Inazuma enough lmao
I finally graduated college/uni by the way guys!!!
Ill actually have a life now that wont be hogged by homework! Like writing! Like drawing! Like anything but school!
Anyway, love u guys, another post coming soon,
Safe Travels Orah,
💀♒️

do you know of any accounts around that center more uhhhh diverse understandings of gender? or just being trans? it some times feels like when i cast a wider net or just look out of accounts I'm familiar with, i suddenly don't exist? and not to be dramatic but that over some time it's beginning to isolate me from my trans identity.
LIKE I'll leave accounts i feel comfortable and seen in and just a little taste of what ill see is;
hurtful generalization that can only be true if your white/perisex/abled/nt.
Critic of a demographic of trans people YOU fit into that would only apply if you were white/perisex/abled/nt.
Angry post that make it clear that op only manages to talk to white/perisex/nt people.
trans meme; hope your white/perisex/abled/nt.
"Everyone had THAT phase :)"(White supremacist/Terf)
"Oh well Black trans wome-!!!!") ["Boy i sure hope this isn't tokenization!!!!"] [*clicks Through to profile*] [*op proceeds never mentions a black trans person again*][*cat looking at camera from green text meme**tokenizing*]
and i bring up intersex and disabled ppl but I only have to deal with being a Black trans person, and not to give the game away(of what this ask really is) i guess but like thats SOOOO worrying, it implies either that 1) there are not enough POC/intersex/disabled/neurodivergent trans ppl to meaningfully incorporate into the theory/jokes/positivity or 2) The greater online trans community does not think their perspective is meaningful in the first place.
(and then to actually give the game away) This IS lowkey a Whine post, but also i enjoy your blog 1) anything you wanna add? and 2) the posts on trans ppl you interact with make me feel seen not only in marginalizations that affect me but also those that affect people i have made community with.
p.s. this is long srry, i woke up downed the last of some radioactively blue drink than sat down to write this ask
I feel you! It sucks so fucking hard I think when like... you're intellectually aware that a lot of these perspectives - perspectives that just are the norm and the reality for so many people - just aren't taken into account by a lot of "mainstream" accounts, and that that's largely to do with whiteness as a culture (as in: a desire to sublimate and dominate any outsider culture or minority, either rendering it a commodity or rendering it invisible) and white supremacy, and all of the other bigotries that fold into that white-centric and anglo-centric view.
I don't know that I have a huge number of recs in terms of individual accounts - obviously I love @thewarmvoid, Salem always brings so much nuance and consideration to everything Salem does, whilst at the same time fucking battling off constant lynch mobs and bullshit; I don't know if fae're on Tumblr, but Anonsee Maytrix has a lot of class analyses and posts on Twitter and BlueSky; @spacelazarwolf posts a lot of different Jewish trans perspectives, and obviously I'm speaking from my own perspective of Jewish transmasculinity, but I find that a lot of different Jewish understandings of transness and gender stand out to me as critiquing a lot of the status quo around gender and sex; Idris at @bijoumikhawal is a long-time mutual of mine and they always not just have the best fucking analysis and takes of faer own but also curate such interesting and in-depth analysis from different perspectives and bloggers, from a huge variety of cultures and perspectives, especially from Egypt and other North African countries and regions; @xoxoviva posts a lot of great stuff, especially like, good meta on different shows and comics; @mamapluto posts and brings in a lot of Native American and different indigenous perspectives that I always love and appreciate seeing on my dash.
I unfortunately have a terrible memory for usernames and names, so whenever people ask me for recs like this I have a few people off the top of my head, and then I'm basically just left linking the people who are most recently in my notifs where I go, "oh, yeah, this person rocks", but I think that's because over time I've followed such a huge variety of people and I really enjoy connecting with different people and seeing such wildly different perspectives on one thing or other, whether that's in the analysis they post themselves, or just the people and communities they follow and are connected with, and what they then share on their own blogs.
I hope there are a few recs in here that suit what you're looking for and bring a bit more joy onto your timeline and a sense of being seen and reflected, Anon!

smthn ive been thinking about a lot more recently is how much symbolism not just tlm 1 but tlm 2 have in relations to outliers or ppl who are different in society and how theyre treated or how they treat others. this has been explained to death by ppl much more eloquent than me for tlm 1, but i don't see it get discussed as much with tlm 2, which is probably just me not looking as hard as i could but i still feel like talking about it because it means a lot to me (more under the cut bc it's a rambling kinda night)
one thing with tlm 2 that i noticed pretty recently (like earlier today recently) is how "the oppressed" in a sense become "the oppressor" and, from personal experience, that feels a lot like how older generations of oppressed groups treat younger generations when they dont assimilate. im only going to speak from my own experience, because i know how often this type of stuff can vary from person to person but as someone with mental disabilities and as someone who's japanese-american, there's so many similarities between how the other master builders treated emmet in tlm 2 and how older generations have treated me and other people I know. like when emmet was being cheery and, well, himself, the other master builders and townspeople shunned him, because they learned that acting like themselves was bad and would hurt them. Similarly, i always learned that idea of "being yourself" or "embracing your culture", but as i got older all of a sudden the same people tell me i cant, or that it's dangerous, or weak, or dumb, or lazy, etc etc because they were taught that through their experiences. And as much as it can be understood why theyd want to do that, most of the time they feel like it's protecting you, just like how the master builders felt telling emmet to toughen up was protecting him, it often just hurts you. In my case, it created a huge disconnect between me and my culture that I'm still working to fix and it's made me only very recently realize how much of myself ive hidden or dont understand because of the disorders I have. I think it's all part of why emmet as a character resonates with so many people, myself included. He's really the best example of how suppressing individuality can hurt someone, and him going against that and showing that being himself is ok is something that's almost healing in a way. It rly feels like he's telling us that we can do that too! that being ourselves isnt something to be ashamed of or hidden and that hiding those parts of ourselves hurts us more than it helps!!
Long story short, emmet's character, in the 1st movie of course but in 2nd movie especially, really resonates with me, both as someone with mental disorders/disabilities and as a 2nd generation japanese immigrant. those themes of suppressing yourself to fit in and being told constantly that was the only way to be safe really hits different when youve been told similar things your whole life. It's part of why i cry when i watch both movies, because emmet's character understands that in a way i could never articulate before. He's rly a masterfully written character, and he deserves all the love he gets for being such
Anyways that's the end of my little ramble, have a cookie for making it this far 🍪 and have a good day/night 🫶

hello again :D
what resources do you use to learn khmer, if I may ask? I want to get my fluency back after English overwrote it in public school 😔
(also this our art blog , is feel more comfortable / recommend asking stuff over on our personal main @yomcloud ! is also recommend go on that blog n go on "kh writing" tag for other khmer stuff ! we also do lot casual khmer writing in "system stuff" tag )
-
augh man our big sis faced same thing . she used to be fluent but then lost it all when go to school .
being last in family , we never were fluent or able speak it , just able listen and understand roughly as parents speak very frequently . but besides our big sis , think we only one in family who did have some kind interest
and even in extended family , we know so so much extended family fluent Only in speaking but know nothing about how read or write (feel sad about that )
-
and sense little long and not art related , will put under undercut ! [also plz understand we No Way fluent at all or likely not even able keep conversation , this just what we have ]
------
1
so sadly , we not really many good resources , like books (one n only book we have is , not great !) or sites as there so few resources available compare to other languages or even southeast asian languages . is remember that our big sis said that there was practically NONE at all when she try learn again several years ago , but now theres some apps , books , youtubes , etc . , though still very few
we also not really able give many as we have learn best from listening to parents talk , watching random khmer videos , and writing what we hear (we not able speak because semiverbal unable speak 95% of time or so )
---
2
personally is feel this youtube channel is best one found so far that teaches . made by native speaker and echoes true to how our parents speak it . gives more detail on things and way ppl actually speak
we use these two dictionaries though they not perfect : [1] [2] (1st one is easier use and have more stuff and can copy text , 2nd one is little harder to use , but can give more on word if not show up in 1st one , not able copy text) neither have "speak word" , but google translate robot voice usually very accurate
This site shared by another khmer american we met ! it looks very very good , but wasnt able use much as seem not always load , but hope it has better time with you
online khmer keyboard is recommend start use online / on screen keyboard and try learn desktop keyboard / get language keyboard installed on mobile stuff (apple comes with just need go language setting , our android doesnt so we use app call "phum keyboard" , it janky but works)
keyboard can be hard learn cuz it different across devices , but generally how remember is that letter sound is in same place and in rough latin equivalent place , shift is to change from Series A and B
---
3
but tbh , that Honestly really it , we dont really have or know much and most of what we know is just from parent speak and just learning script so know how write what they say down and use that to know how say other things
but here some personal tips from us ! (also is want remind that this more about written language than speaking since not able speak much)
1. learn khmer script and how works soon as possible and drop latin transliteration as soon as possible . khmer works in specific way that makes Much Easier if know script . lot of time you wouldnt know what word is what with just transliteration alone since it can be written many way . not help that transliteration not regulated and lot words can be transliterated in like , 5 ways 😭
2. From experience , it often resources made by non-khmer ppl tend be Very Very Wrong or poorly transliterated or badly explained . is often find there lot of issues in them and harder learn from them compare to stuff made by khmer ppl or native speakers .
3. dont be afraid make mistakes !! when we grow up learning language as children we always misspell or write wrong , this no different and it part of learning
4. Look things up directly with khmer language script instead of using english ! youll find so much more and is often how we find and watch random khmer videos , things like cooking and music .
5. incorporate khmer writing into things you do frequently and enjoy ! for example , we honestly learned best from just writing khmer casually on our art . we learn a lot from drawing (and since you like writing , you could make things like characters talking to each other little bit in khmer or try describe things in khmer !)
here some stuff weve done !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
allowing language just be part of life and things like and enjoy instead of "this is specific important thing need treat different separate and need be school like learn" doesnt work for us . we sometime just draw write it , talk to ourself in it , be silly with it !
like if draw bird , write "bird" . if draw cat , write "cat" , and other stuff
write a bunch , speak a bunch whenever possible
6. heres more resource stuff we personally made (take with little bit of grain of salt , but feels work best and true to us and feel accurate as of now )
Tumblr media
this is alphabet order and mix of pretty much everything weve seen , then use one that remember sound best to us ("ô /oh" also sometimes written as "er" , "â/au" also sometime written as "or" , but sound made is same and to us sound more similar to "au and oh" so that what most helps , khmer isnt tonal )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and here is thing we made to group them next to their series equivalent ! imo , remembering what consonant is part of what series and what vowel sound change to is hardest part of learning , (also sub consonants so that why always include ) so making this helped ton ! (we havent made updated vowel guide , man )
---
and thats all ! we know lot more but is hard explain sorry it not much , but hope all this helps on learning journey ! អរគុណច្រើន !

I am so worried about student activism for Palestine in the USA
General prayer request for me, my family, and all my friends and their families in Palestine (including but not limited to Gaza). And in other news that just rubs salt in the wound:
Some activists on here and in my local community are starting to buy into the (genuinely) extremist version of antinormalization where anyone who breathes the same air as an Israeli is a normalizer, therefore a zionist, and therefore should lose everything. In a world where people have relationships and orgs need funding, this makes almost every Palestinian solidarity org or Palestinian civil society org (including BDS, according to such people) a "normalization org."
Despite BDS calling against normalization. It's a joke but I worry it'll be the death of the movement.
I'm an American, not Palestinian, and have been involved in Palestinian solidarity work for several years. Free Palestine from the River to the Sea, I support BDS, I am firmly anti zionist. In case this post gets passed around.
If you think you've been posting stuff that falls under this category (#notnormalization, anyone taking funding from an org that's not vocally antinormalization itself, something linking to JISR collective, even the impulse to paint someone zionist without any credible evidence,) check your sources. You might be parroting ppl who want Palestine free only for Muslims who do Islam their way. (A decent number of hardcore antinormalization types online emphasize that their main issue with JVP is that JVP is a Jewish org, not Muslim. One would hope that would tip people off, but it doesn't.)
Not to mention that many anti-normalization activists on instagram are advocating against ceasefire despite that being what Gazan Palestinians are begging for.
More stringent =/= more left-wing. That's something every new lefty needs to know.
Palestinians have been tortured by Hamas for having conversations with Israelis. If you believe (and you should) that Palestinians should be allowed to educate Israelis as to their plight without being punished for "normalization", then don't repost the hardcore anti normalization stuff. (You can also have a nuanced view, thinking that not every "education" initiative is positive is fine, thinking people should be tortured for "normalizing" is not.)
And almost nobody in the English-speaking internet is talking about this, or if they are, they're parroting right-wing talking points without knowing it, saying that any org that isn't approved by JISR Collective is secretly zionist. (Seriously, they think Noura Erakat, Palestinian human rights lawyer and vocal BDS supporter and anti-normalization--in the real, BDS sense, activist is a normalizer. Original tweet is gone, but if you were online at the time you definitely saw it.) It's a witch hunt and it's killed people, all in the name of ideology.
I feel like a zombie. Idk how much longer I can keep at it. It was fine until people started calling Palestinian civil society orgs zionist because they get money from foundations that don't meet as strict standards for "anti normalization". For some reason that's what's made me lose hope in so much of the leftist pressure for Palestine. It reminds me of when my old high school almost tackled its race problem, but then a third party stepped in and proceeded to do nothing for years and people just gave up.
This started as a prayer request, but maybe this can educate people since I'm not in good enough shape to make something substantial.
I'll write better posts about this soon, God willing I will have the energy to do so.
I never even outlined posts or bothered collecting sources about this years ago because I foolishly hoped it would never become a big thing in America, at least not in the progressive sphere.
In the spirit of "don't give up" I'm not giving up on Palestine; but these coalitions we've built in the USA are already starting to crack under the pressure of "don't breathe the same air as any Palestinian org that's not openly calling for armed resistance every chance it gets, even if it's a mosque or a literal preschool."
If you see your comrades parroting that stuff, shut it down. Tell them about Rami Aman. Tell them about what the BDS Movement actually calls for.

hey yt cishet girly why u supportin' racist ppl 'n pretendin' lk u'r blk when u ain't cnow aave 'n use emojis lk that ain't blk to do lil' b
???????? EXCUSE ME TF?? 👁️👄👁️
First of all, I'm not white neither heterosexual — I'm literally black and the language I speak or how I speak english in general doesn't make me black or non-black. I don't know AAVE because I'M FUCKING AFRO-RUSSIAN MAYBE??? Like, do you hear me, nonnie? Afro-russian. RUSSIAN. I'm not american by any means??? I live in GERMANY. And I was born in a german and russian speaking family. The fuck do you want from me?? I'm... I have no words. Not all black people live in USA, and not every black person is afro american. Like?.. and where did you got these weird stereotypes?? How the way person speaks change their race, roots & skin color?? AND EMOJIES? What emojis did to you, nonnie?... What the fuck, is, also, the phase "ain't black to do"? Aren't you the one who is trying to police the way we act, and telling us that we should fit into some box, or stereotype made up in your head, your standards? Please get professional help, because that is, in fact, very not... okay. And thank you for making me feel even worse than I did before. For your fucking knowledge: I'm a mentally unstable person. So, thank you so much for ruining my night. I know you're probably having a lot of "fun" with what you're sending people, but I'm not.
The second. The one who's by the really big chance is pretending to be black is you, nonnie, just to bully random people on internet because you have nothing to do and probably have a really... unstable, i'd like to say, self-assessment and maybe harassing strangers on internet is the only thing that make you feel even a bit valuable and better than other people. Which is... honestly, absolutely disgusting. You're just going around and bullying random people, and FOR WHAT? Other than this, of course. What is your reason to be this gross?
The third. You're blocked and reported, nonnie. Have a very unpleasant day and I won't be apologizing for the way I speak to you, because the one that should apologize is you.

going off his post from when he announced his extension as ceo, most people who dislike him seem to claim it's either because he's american and shouldn't be involved in european motorsport (which is already wild considering f1 is an international competition and not a european one), like this is an exact word-for-word critism that i saw more than one person use. or they're australian and feel that zak/the team unfairly favor lando at the expense of aussie drivers. just look at any mclaren affiliated social media after the australian gp. i personally think both are pretty irrational excuses and like don't get me wrong, i am all for people hating for the purpose of being a hater but if you're going to try to justify your hatred with reasons at least find one based in some sort of logic. or even reality.
anon a person after my own heart i too love hating for the purpose of being a hater but this isnt that, its a more widespread and vitriolic fandom phenomenon that clearly different from, say, me hating on clement novalak bc his eyebrows freak me out, ykwim?
i do think his obnoxious americanism is kind of hard to swallow and thats fair if u find him annoying but it rly doesnt explain to me y ppl immediately label him a villain? maybe bc he has that rich man in a black and white hollywood movie vibe abt him or smth but like surely its smth more serious than that. idk i think its just the american salesman core of it all... he's slimy and slippery and persuasive and he does it VERY well
also like i do think the idea that he mistreats oscar is frankly silly - mostly bc oscar keeps yapping on and on abt how much he likes having a team where hes finally wanted and appreciated, but also bc its clear zak loves the guy. i think ur right in that i do think some ppl think that: i keep seeing ppl on twitter saying that the fact that lando has done a couple factory debriefs that oscar wasnt there for means they clearly favour lando. but like.... if i were renowned introvert oscar piastri i would WAY prefer not having to fly 12h to speak in front of a crowd and instead be allowed to spend another couple days w my family in melbourne. like bffr please
also also can i just say re: team orders bc i think thats the other reason ppl think oscar is mistreated - do ppl not realise that last week oscar literally got the priority strategy? they helped cover him against russell instead of helping lando cover against leclerc, which is how lando ended up losing second place - he wouldve kept it if he'd pit on lap 9 with charles or even maybe lap 10 just after him (if the oscar pitstop was unplanned). and also, in general, lando and oscar often end up on diff strategies where lando shows up behind oscar with fresher tyres (and hence has to b let by w team orders) because lando is better at managing tyre wear. thats y he often gets the stay long - overcut strat (germany situation beloved), whereas oscar is often on the undercut - defend strat, and they'll often meet in the middle. the fact that we get these kinds of strategy team orders is GOOD. it means the team has enough faith in both drivers' skills to give them diff strategies and trust them both to execute them well. it also means the drivers r next to each other on track - id take lando team-order-passing oscar any day over lando blue-flag-passing daniel.... oof.
sorry a defense of zak brown turned into a defense of randy singh but like im just saying that the idea that the entirety of mclaren hates and mistreats oscar is rly quite laughable if ur actually engaged in the strategy game or like if u have eyes idk. im very very glad that oscar has become kind of a people's princess character and ppl rly do seem to universally love him but i find it so infuriating that they have to do so at the expense of mclaren. if u wanna find an enemy to hate on behalf of oscar carlos sainz is literally right there

brief mini announcement: after reflection. I'll be holding off on posting publicly about WoD - for now temporarily. I will still talk about it in private discords; im not dropping my games or anything... but yeah... just not comfortable posting publicly rn.
personal ponderings and ig reasoning for my choice below.
info for reference: https://www.patreon.com/posts/werewolf-5th-and-86463964
this is a must read if a modern WoD fan imo.
this is not an analysis or specific criticism as it aint my place (im white). i just wanted to vent. and over the course of writing this i decided not to post publicly about WoD for now. if anyone wants to discuss though, i would love to.
i mean in short i dont want to just sit on this info.
so w this werewolf stuff, for context, i only briefly skimmed 1 of its previews and so was holding opinions on it until after i read it fully. and already knew older stuff was anti-indigenous in many respects, (never read it for this reason so dont know details beyond the obvious issues with certain names being used) so now that its fully confirmed the new one is still bad in this way (v v v v disappointed) and the ppl who made it bad and are straight up anti-indigenous are still employed its just. like. ugh. what the fuck. i also didnt know so many of the ppl in old white wolf remained employees when paradox took over???? i fell for the rebranding AUGH.
+ outside of werewolf with outstar still having her position w seemingly no criticism or action or apology given???
theres of course also gonna be a bunch of people way worse than her employed too , that arent as public, so we dont see it, unless wronged former employees speak out about it. (which is very brave and essential. )
-
in the end i largely believe in the capitalist society we live in corporations are gonna be immoral at their core and that includes paradox. but i dont want to use that belief as an excuse to do nothing. and i feel perhaps i have used that as an excuse before.
sambrano said the following:
Tumblr media
so, we have to hold their feet to the fire. but im not sure if im just misreading or stupid (really, probably just ignorant) but im not sure what exactly is the best thing to do. just express our outrage in someway?
if a boycott was organized i would join. but if one isnt? idk! and idk if a boycott is best. i want and need to hear abt what specifically ingenious and fans of color in general believe is best atm so i suppose my next steps are to just. listen. and see.
idk this is really bad. not sure what 2 do what 2 do.. hhmmhmhmh. just awful all around. my impatience is killing me but i must wait to see what others say.
it seems like when you get down to it the way WoD treats Native Americans specifically in this instance and overall non-white people/non-white culture is abhorrent. both in and out of universe. and i feel if im not careful i could be complicit as a white fan. so i want to proceed very carefully.
-
if you read, thanks for reading. i hope i can learn what should be done. in the interim...
im not dropping WoD - but something should be done to address this and until then. i dont feel comfortable posting publicly about WoD. ill still discuss OC stuff in personal discords unless others feel this is still inappropriate.
and im still posting on tumblr. just not WoD stuff. this may last a day, might last a week, may last who knows how much longer. but yes. wait and see ig.

this is something that i've been trying to understand for a while from a curiosity-driven standpoint, and i was wondering what your thoughts are on it. this is specific to american politics most likely. why do you think "leftists" - like TRAs, libfems, male leftists, etc,- target white women in a way that isn't about racism but is about sex? i'm not at all talking about legitimate issues with racist behavior. more like the ideas that white women are even worse than white men at every ism which has become super popular. white men seem to be not brought up anymore, or any men at all. and i'm trying to figure out who sort of started this pseudo-activist thing? because it delegitimizes actual critiques of racism from white women, and has eclipsed critiques of racism and grown into something a lot different imo. i feel it isn't the best word because i don't want to put a "victim" or "delicate/fragile" slant on this, but i guess white women are the scapegoats to white men in leftist spaces and everyone's going along with it? i'm trying to understand how "progressives" got to this point. again not talking about condemning racism from white women (absolutely needed and shouldn't be policed) i hope you get what i'm trying to say. like why do you think this came about and who benefits from it?
tbh to me it’s because anti-feminist rhetoric has subtly become more accepted and normalised + white men still have power and have successfully moved the target from them and avoided all accountability by arguing it’s their white moms’ and other white womens’ faults that they did what they did. they’ve coopted woc not having much voice and facing racism and often even misogyny from white women and use it to justify their misogyny, as if white men are somehow better. also every oppressed group, such as women in this case, are held to higher standards from my experience. when you’re a woman, you don’t get away with what men get away with. it’s the same reason why black women, or lesbians, or other woc, etc are all held to far higher standards. when lizzo used a questionable / “problematic” word, she was treated far more harshly & with far more contempt than a white man or even white woman would. when ellen got called out for not treating her celeb guests well, she was cancelled in a way straight white men criticised for sexually harassing, abusing, or otherwise harming their female coworkers haven’t been. when azealia banks was being racist, she was criticised for it in a far harsher way than for example iggy azealia was. the examples are endless but the point is, minority groups especially when they’re women get held to different standards. somehow people only think it’s a problem when they see a black woman or a lesbian or even het white women do it. look at how “terf” vs simply “transphobe” (who are the ones actually being the population that commit hate crimes against trans ppl) are treated. people love to pretend that they hold others accountable but white men don’t get this treatment. men in general often don’t get this treatment.
this isn’t so say white women haven’t played a role in upholding white supremacy and racism, but to act like they’re the main instigators or like they’re worse than white men is a joke. white men are white women’s oppressors, and white men have been the “patriarchs” and the leaders of countless hate movements against LGB people, women, and poc. to remove accountability from them is to justify them and it is honestly pretty misogynistic. it sucks bc this conversation was started by woc & even poc in general to speak about how white women played a role in racism against us, and now it’s been coopted by white men as a way of dodging their role in racism as well.

a review of the first week of cabo verde
so i've officially landed in the praia, cabo verde, airport seven (7) whole days ago, and i want to share my initial thoughts. this will be long, so here's a numbered list :)
1 . i feel like i'm a kid back in brazil but also a 21 y/o tall kid
so caboverdians speak portuguese (bc it's taught in formal schools) and they also speak kabuverdianu (creole, different across all the islands). being someone that can translate / speak at the store for the person they live with [1], it just feels like i'm a kid with a limited vocab
living in a beach town where everything is at a slower pace and is within walking / bus / taxi distance made me feel happy :) vacation!dasha is alive and well
2 . cabo verde is also a tall kid (but 48 y/o)
this one is sorta very much on me.
so i did the classic American Tourist thing and never actually learned anything about the history of the country i will be traveling to (sorry). since coming here and asking my co-workers and friends-of-misti about the general vibes of this country, i've learned so much! a lot of which Make Sense, a lot of which Confuse Me
older caboverdians tend to see themselves as not-african. i also learned that some ppl in some countries in mainland africa also don't consider themselves african bc of the way that the label "africa" comes with various histories, most of them negative bc of europe. this is why "kriolu" / "creole" are such popular words ! also younger caboverdians acknowledge that they are african / black if that applies to them
race is phenotypical here. which is what i expected (closer to how latam sees race ig?? more like how brasil sees race ig??). what i'm trying to say is that if you introduce yourself as "from the usa", they'll always say "no, where are u Actually from" and won't rest until u say something like "peruvian, chinese, etc." bc a lot of ppl outside of the usa don't believe that the usa has "actual indigenous ppl anymore" [2]. it also means that speaking english in the street invites ppl to ask you ur race
being east asian (chinese) in cabo verde is sorta .. rough. the microaggressions that i've seen in the two (2) days that my chinese-american roommate face is kinda Wild. when the person leading our cultural training said "oh sometimes ppl will call u 'china'" to my friend i thought that it meant that it would replace "ma'am" in the usual "yes, ma'am" / "no, ma'am" conversations with strangers, not that random ppl will yell "china!" multiple times to my friend when we're sitting on the sand. this has ties with macau and the rest of the chinese gov't building universities, casinos, and having a Business Presence in the country. but at least we got tourism industry students to invite us to clubs bc my friend is chinese-american??? [3] it's just really weird to me bc i haven't faced any racial / appearance-based ... acknowledgements ... even tho i clearly look like a foreigner in a sorta-racially-homogenous place (talking abt the mostly black island santiago)
independence day is not really celebrated here : ( ppl have conflicting opinions on the independence of the country. most of the country likes the day (july 5) bc it's a day off from work. other ppl say that it's hard to be a country with growing pains and would rather have portugal's gov't deal with building the infrastructure. other ppl are putting in the work to ease the growing pains. kinda sad since massachusetts, rhode island, and brazil (afaik) have big celebrations (fireworks and everything) rather than just a random ceremony where the president speaks for a bit and everyone goes home
a lot of the night life is european. someone pls teach me how to vibe to edm and house music and general non-lyrical music fjewiaofj but also shoutout to that club with brazilian funk. if only i learned the dance that my são paulo friend taught me </3
3 . the food is sorta fantastic here ngl
yes, i'm behind on the foodposting, and idk if i'll ever catch up lmao
for my lovely friends who eat meat, cachupa / caxupa is one of the loveliest things to eat. it's a meat-based (with veggies!) soup dish ?? it usually has either fish or pork tho. it's the national dish for a reason <33 also the seafood is good. sola-approved!
for my lovely friends who don't eat meat, i found a vegan place like 8 min away from my apt! also bc i'm in a City, it's easy to ask for things to be made vegetarian (plus there's always couscous and salads lol). also veg cachupa exists
for all my lovely friends, the food isn't Too too varied. i feel like the most common foods are pizzas, pastas, burgers, and shwarmas. also chinese foods are translated in an interesting way: noodles are pasta / spaghetti, dumplings are pastels (the empanada-esque brazilian translation), etc. there are also a bunch of brazilian churrascarias and one (1) indian restaurant
also i tried to be Cool and add some hot sauce to one of my pastas and i had to pretend i didn't want to kill myself in front of the Adults on the table
4. kabuverdianu is a cool language
i learned duolingo's haitian creole to get the vibes of a creole language. though this is attached to portuguese instead of french, a lot of the characteristics are the same. the words borrowed from the european language are spelled in a way that makes sense (maybe in a way that makes more sense to spanish-speakers?). i also like how gendered things tend to just be made gender neutral (usually defaulting to the masc way). i can hear it and understand it if spoken to me slowly, but after that ... oof!
5 . marcha do orgulho made me v happy
what if i change my "go to carnaval in every continent" goal to "go to pride in every continent" hehe. i think it was so Good how the pride that had 30 ppl last year exceeded their goal of 100 ppl this year by A Lot. even though there were a lot of ppl from the EU who backed the event (logistically spread the word i think??), the ppl who showed up were mostly black and made it such a fun time :,)
i also met a trans woman who claimed was the only trans woman in her island :,0 [5] she traveled all the way to santiago for pride
6 . overall i'm excited for the summer
i think that i'll spend a lot of my time reading a book by the beach and learning kabuverdianu while telling myself that i can maybe be an immigrant like my parents [4] or at least work abroad for a few years maybe. i'm excited to be an adult. i went to the beach (one on the other side of the island) today, and i just feel refreshed. i got to swim in the water like if it were a pool and hang out with the fish lol
---
[1] my parents as a kid, my roommate as a taller kid (now)
[2] overheard at a bar in barcelona
[3] my roommate will prob talk abt it more since she's doing the indentityX blogposts that misti hosts lol
[4] for those that don't know, there's at least a two-gen moving maternal history in my family line. my grandma moved across the country after high school. my mom moved across the continent after college. i wanna Continue that somehow bc i feel like it'd be cute
[5] lots of gays and lesbians, according to her, but being trans is a whole different thing there

Thank you that’s very sweet, you’re very kind
I just read and observe people and then after some time I eventually pick up on their habits and the way they talk and that’s what I did while learning English
Obviously I knew English because I learnt it in school but I never spoke it and I wasn’t great at communicating in it because where I live we usually speak my mother tongue which is pashto and urdu (I live in pakistan btw)
I’m 20 so before I was 17 when I started learning, that too because I got into this phase where I didn’t like talking to people and just reading and writing and on my phone and the quarantine really helped lol so that made me learn English and eventually get introduced to all the western media
And I because I had been always very close to my family so we watched the same shows and I wasn’t really at all on social media, probably because the lack of knowing English so I felt kind of insecure being on social media if I wasn’t able to understand the stuff on it, so no idea of western celebs or anything like that (I knew the very famous ones like angelina jolie etc because once I saw her face printed on a bag while I was shopping when I was like 12 and I though she was gorgeous anyways I’m rambling!!! Now hahah)
Anyways the point is, sometimes it makes me feel like, social media and real life are two different planets because the stuff on it so flabbergasting and weird (but also it has its many good sides and effects as well like talking to people and that’s great for me cause I love talking to people) but What kind of makes me sad is that it’s not 2 different planets, it’s all the same and the people who are so unkind and crazy on the internet are among us
It’s very weird
loved reading this! thank u so much
i mostly learned english from reading and watching movies etc as well actually but then again i was very young (i was fully fluent by the time i was around 9 i think) and children pick up languages very fast and i live in sweden where american and english media and pop culture is very widespread and part of the culture (probably bc sweden is a western country and america is very dominant in western media in general) so people learn english very well and easily here like swedes are known for it and foreigners often struggle to learn swedish bc the natives all switch to english when they notice u dont speak swedish so lots of foreigners and immigrants have to straight up ask people to talk to them in swedish more so they can learn and practice it lol but i think that goes to show that the best way to learn a language is to watch and read media in that language and observe it in casual conversation rather than just go by how ur taught it in classes etc
i honestly think its a good thing that u didnt partake in social media when u were younger. i think a lot of the people that dont seperate social media from real life are the ones who started using it early so they have almost spent more time in the social media and online world than the actual real world and get less real world interactions than online ones. i think its very unhealthy to not be able to seperate the 2 and just like u said, the online world and the real world are 2 different things and people forget that they are interacting with real living humans thru the screen and thats when it gets toxic and crazy and hostile. people kind of lose their social skills when they only interact with others behind a screen and its very concerning. ive always talked to ppl online the way i would talk face to face and its always weird to me when others dont do the same bc its like would u say these things ur saying online if the person was face to face with u? if u wouldnt then just dont. its cowardly and embarrassing behavior and its just gonna rot ur brain and soul and make u lose touch with reality and how u connect to others on a human level

CANON CHANGES.
so her biological father is dead, her mom married peter cunningham, and she’s never gone by her thai name as her mother wanted to come off as the perfect all american family to the rest of hawkins.
she was not born in america! she came to hawkins when she was 3.
her hair is black.
PERSONAL HEADCANONS.
her hair is black after coming back, but she still dyes it sometimes to feel a sense of normalcy. hair dye never lasts more than a week on her head before returning to black.
she used to babysit for the byers! honestly loves will like a lil brother.
chrissy works so hard at everything, she’s not by means perfect; it’s a front she puts up, but she works hard especially when it comes to school and cheer and sometimes she can just get so ... involved and in her own head that she doesn’t realize that she’s putting too much pressure on herself as well
chrissy has a pink heart shaped rice cooker
laura cunningham does not turn on the air conditioning unless there’s company over so chrissy tries to never be in her house during summer and keeps herself busy with babysitting or sports or volunteering
chrissy has 0 chill; she tries to keep herself contained, but when she’s really excited !? she’s shrill and has death grips and a giant smile with her crooked tooth
chrissy has a mole under her left eye 💚
chrissy says please and thank u you so much
chrissy gives ppl cheek kisses in greetings
chrissy’s favorite drink is pink lemonade with extra ice :)
ANYTHING ELSE YOU THINK IS IMPORTANT FOR OTHER MEMBERS TO KNOW.
chrissy’s biological dad drew the line to becoming super americanized; when chrissy’s mom wanted to stop speaking thai in the house, so that chrissy could speak “proper english”. her father puts his foot down and says absolutely not, and takes matters into his own hands to make sure chrissy knows thai, and can speak and write and read it
he passes away when she’s 15 but at that point she’s fluent in thai

I read IG comments again this is a sad ramble don’t read this. Sincerely if you read this and are rude I’m blocking you lol
I think ironically the most frustrating and sad thing about all those “why other countries hate Americans” posts is that
1) It points out very legitimate awful things that current day citizens Cannot Control or Change
2) The sweeping generalizations that, while anyone can have, feel very white American leaning
Don’t be me don’t read Instagram comments but I just read a bunch and so much of it was either your government sucks, which yes it does thanks bestie. Or just education stuff and how we don’t know geography or other cultures or history. Or a very unique “you call yourselves Americans despite other counties being in America you’re so entitled by claiming that title for yourself”
And maybe it’s bc I’m black. Maybe it’s bc my brain doesn’t like rules that I can’t follow the logical road to. But. That’s not our fault.
And what I mean by that is that we only know what we are taught. That’s not a full excuse to NOT CARE about other countries but as children and into adulthood schools only tell us So Much. And if you went to a lower income school you didn’t even learn as much as higher income schools. We’re in school for 12-14 years before age 18 and then it’s either Go To College to get a job or Get a Job right away. And things like learning other languages or culture studies are only useful For A Job if you’re going into that field.
Now. I would’ve loved if my school taught other languages. We had Spanish but it was the “memorize this thing” type and not actually teaching you how the language is formed. And it’s really hard to learn a New Language as an adult. (Which is why the insistence that people speak English when they move or immigrate here is so stupid). BUT I wasn’t. We didn’t have the money for that. And as you can see by current events what history WAS taught is trying to be BANNED as of now.
This sounds so very “be sad for Americans” or US citizens I guess if ppl are gonna be picky about what we were told to call ourselves without any alternative which again We Did Not Choose. But also the US isn’t just white people. And there are many people white included who HATE how things are run. How land is stolen and people silenced and killed. How our money is used without our permission to fund wars and not given to those who need it. Many of us who might be proud of individual roots aren’t proud of the country itself. But uhhhh good luck getting Money to Go anywhere else.
It’s like being tied to a chair with tape over our mouths watching as other counties talk about how we’re terrible and live under a corrupt government and we kill people and we kill ourselves. And thrashing and screaming because WE FUCKING LIVE HERE. THE AWFUL SHIT YOURE COMPLAINING ABOUT IS OUR DAILY LIVES. WE ARE THE ONES LIVING LIKE THIS WE ARE THE ONES WHO ARE TOLD ITS FINE TO KILL PPL AS LONG AS ITS THR RIGHT PEOPLE. AND THOSE WHO SPEAK OUT ARE ARRESTED OR KILLED
A man was killed in broad daylight on camera and when people marched for him and protested against police brutality they were met with More brutality! A woman was killed in her bed. A boy was killed going to work. In front of their kids. While fleeing a crime scene. Indigenous people ARE NOT GONE they are still fighting to keep their children in Native families. Like.
I get it. I fucking get it. I truly do. But YOU are seeing an entire patchwork of people under one umbrella. We are living day to day watching people we love and people we don’t know who deserve to just fucking live be utterly crushed. We are kept ignorant on purpose. The rise of AI makes “a simple google search” an entity new obstacle. We don’t control where our races go. Our public transit is not well funded our schools are not well funded. We don’t. Have. Places to be that aren’t Home or Work anymore.
Again this is not to take away from the Active Genocides going on. Or the way the US Government is complicit in many many crimes against humanity.
I’m just saying that many many of us aren’t running around shirtless praising the place. I don’t want to. Live. Thinking I’ll be stuck under awful leadership until I fucking kill myself man. You’re looking at the shitshow from across an ocean. We live here. I can’t explain the disconnect of seeing actual suppression of the truth and education and how fucked up it is and how helpless it is knowing that firing back isn’t as easy as yall make it sound. Not to say we just sit around and do nothing. But some Europeans talk about resistance and shit and it’s like they Kill Us In Public And Get Away With It Over Here.
Idk man. They’re not wrong about some points but it’s sad LIVING here and knowing information about other places is deliberately not taught or readily available. They called it brainwashing but clearly they don’t think about what that actually entails. Never learning about the color red doesn’t mean blue is the best. You’re just never given a chance to see other colors.

Girl, you guys are too sensitive when it comes to Buck. NO ONE is bashing him, it's all about feeling sympathetic towards Eddie and the position he's in / his point of view. But then again there's always been a MASSIVE favoritism towards Buck over anyone in the fandom, leading you guys to become misogynistic and apologists of tbh shitty behaviors. Like Taylor? Yeah I never liked her at all, but that shit that Buck pulled with her? Fuck no. Season 1 Buck? Fuck no. Buck has really grown as a person, we love him, but the majority of you have a favoritism that's always been based on attraction and it shows on the way you speak and showcase your opinions.
Usually starting a sentence by "you're too sensitive" is very much used to gaslight someone so, heads up, I'm likely not gonna take what you say afterwards very seriously. Especially since you're on anonymous. Also I'm known for a lot of things but sensitivity isn't one of them...Kinda the opposite even. But I am easily frustrated and I did vent, which as far as I'm aware shouldn't matter to you.
"no one is bashing him it's all about feeling sympathetic toward Eddie".
Ok so either you haven't seen the numerous posts I'm talking about and you took it upon yourself to speak for everyone or you don't know what bashing is. Either way not the best look for you but I have seen many (stopped counting at around 50 posts) talking about how Buck is an ass for daring to say that to Eddie. Not "poor Eddie's been rejected" but very much "Eddie deserves better than someone who doesn't appreciate him" posts (I've literally seen at least a dozen variation of this sentence), often followed by people using that as a proof that Buddie is toxic actually. And just generally very little critical thinking involved and changing the whole scene to mean what they want.
There might be favoritism toward Buck. Probably, most likely tbh. I mostly follow buddie blogs with either a buck or Eddie focus and other more general blogs with no focus at all. Buddie's the most engaging part of the fandom and the funniest for me in general. Because I follow Eddie girlies as much as Buck ones I don't see the difference and I generally don't venture too far away 'cause Chim is my favorite and I've seen too much racism when wanting to look for him so I stopped venturing too far off the fun people who make meta that seem a bit too much but are still enjoyable.
Now even if I personally didn't witness it because I've curated my own experience on Tumblr and don't interact about 911 on any other social media, he's the young White Adult in a fox procedural. So I'm not surprised there'd be favoritism towards him in a mostly American/western fandom. I've just been talking about this specific situation because it managed to hit my recluse corner which is a feat in itself.
Now that also doesn't matter in this case. Like there being favoritism in general doesn't change that there has been bashing here. If you don't care about it or feel vindictive about it then good for you but that's clearly not my case. That's why I avoid it in the first place.
Now I'm probably biased because I've curated my experience but as far as I'm aware, most people don't like season 1 Buck ? Never seen someone who loved this side of him. Because he was the youngest and most immature, it's easy to focalize on him if you like long ass development, but that's it. And most ppl who talk about s1 talk about it in a "look how much he grew" way so I have no idea why you're bringing it up?
As for TK, you can despise her without it being related to Buck. I personally found her appealing as a character, but the same way I find villains appealing. I very much loved to hate her. The woman does not care about others and will step on them to get what she wants even if she violates all moral ethics and loved ones to do so. You can dislike what she did to Buck without caring for Buck, like in a collateral damage way. But I get people absolutely hating her (I draw the line at mysogynistic behaviors which I luckily mostly avoided but I don't doubt they were there). Buck was an ass yes but he felt guilty about it and also learned and grew from it ...still is learning from it actually. That's a huge difference in my book and probably others. There are no unproblematic characters, just characters willing to be better and those which aren't (relatively speaking since it depends on what the writers find problematic). I mean Hen cheated on Karen (which I still do not comprehend in the slightest), Bobby is linked to the death of his kids, Eddie abandoned his child for years. Chim is the one who did the least problematic thing in general because he's the one with the most empathy and the closest thing I can think of is punching someone he loves when distressed and panicking about someone he also loves. And I've heard Chim got a lot of racist shit from it and while I have no doubt it's true, my curated experience means I didn't have to deal with it.
As for your last point, I happen to be aroace and I'm the kind who only understand what attraction means as a very abstract concept. (I especially don't think muscles are all that interesting but I'm happy for the people who like thirsting over big muscles).
And so like...yeah I've seen people thirst over the actor (as much as Eddie's), but thinking that people who are basically just talking about media literacy and "how the fuck are there enough posts that they ended up in my circle that's usually undramatic as fuck", are doing so just because they're attracted to the actor seems a bit bad faith.
So maybe the bashing only happened in this corner I thought would prevent me from seeing character bashing and needless drama, but it's still happened and it went from funny memes (which I liked and still have queued) to literal tirades of how Buddie is toxic and Buck is the worst. That wasn't me exaggerating, they literally said stuff like that. Which is a terrible take, like how do you even get to this point. So I vented and you thought it was a good idea to come to my inbox to ...I'm not even sure what this is for...warn me ? Annoy me? Insult me? Something else?, well whichever, I'm just using it to vent some more...because holy shit have I seen dumb takes in the past few days.

DWB p3, the fantasy 🔮
I’ve stated before in this Ptolemy series that a lot of black women turn to white, light skinned, biracial and non blk men as a scapegoat because of their trauma with monoracial and dark skinned black men and while that is still true on the other side of the shit show you have what I like to call “the fantasy” aka a white or non blk man who specifically goes after black women with this type of trauma or just black women in general because they fetishize their race, culture, and ethnic features. I’ve seen so many ppl on the internet talking how much they want a black queen , chocolate muffin , or posting videos with a black American girl doll braiding her hair for their desired biracial children ( no fr this actually happened ) this type of behavior is always gross and can even lead into white savior complexes with how these men feel as though they are saving black women from black men or even worse taming black women and pushing them to adapt to a lifestyle that is more suburban white mom than anything else. This happens a lot with black men as well except when people fetishize them it’s way more obvious, like for example the bbc trend that’s happening on tiktok with many non black and more commonly white women talking about how much they love black men and the bodies common amongst black men. There’s also a lot of featurism as well as colorism that goes into the mix of all of this that I personally cannot speak on because I’m not ✨black✨ but I can at least acknowledge that it happens and is 100% a problem that should be addressed in black dating spaces. It’s getting harder and harder to end these spaces without telling y'all to be kind or some corny shit
