Hi, I love your writing! I was wondering if you could write a fic where Rooney and Russo are recording there new podcast and they mention a funny story to do with you. With Alessia x reader pairing. You can make the story up but I thought it would be funny

sorry to whoever requested this as it’s took me so long to actually finish it, but it’s finally here!

"hello! and welcome back to the tooney and russo show with me y/n l/n, and before you all ask don't worry i'm not stealing vic's job she's just poorly" you said down the microphone, getting yourself comfy in the big chair opposite the couch that alessia and ella were sat on.

"thank god we only have to put up with you for one episode!" ella says rolling her eyes playfully as you gasp, the two bursting into laughter.

"hey!"

"anyways i'm here with two of football most famous friends, alessia russo and ella toone!" you cheered as the two opposite you clapped as well as the people behind the cameras.

"are we the most famous friends?" ella turns asking alessia who shrugs, you clearing your throat to get the brunettes attention back.

"they've just written that on the script to boost your ego" you smile quickly before looking back down to the ipad as the ella starts laughing as does less.

“i’m not lying it’s on here!” you hold the ipad up in there direction showing them, “you really know how to make someone feel good about themselves don’t you, y/n!” ella jokes as you nod you head.

“it’s my speciality — ask lessi i do it on the daily for her!” you say winking jokingly towards less who shakes her head at your silliness.

“whatever helps you sleep at night love” alessia sighs, not wanting to disagree with you knowing the ramble you would go into.

"anyways before we get sidetracked anymore, the fans want to know a bit more about your routine when playing, asking if you find it hard to sleep before a big game?" you read out the question that was on the ipad in front of you.

"speaking on behalf of all three of us here, but we all sleep like babies!" ella says as you and alessia nod in agreement humming.

"yeah what's the saying, can sleep on a camels back" alessia blurts out making you make a confused face, as you mouthed a what to ella who shook her head also having no idea what the blonde had just said.

"that's not a saying babe, you've just made that up!"

"i have not, search it up!” the blonde defended her self as you still looked at her with a confused face trying to understand what she meant from her try at an inspirational message.

“um yeah moving on.. i sleep good all the time to be fair. but do either of you remember the night before the euro final?” you asked them both, ella nodding while less say shaking her head.

“oh yeah, i remember that night. do you not?” ella agreeing with you as she directed the last part of her sentence the blonde sat next to her, who shook her head while mumbling a no into the mic in front of her.

“so obviously we was staying in this really nice hotel, the tottenham hot spur hotel it was i think, and everyone was asleep and um in the night the automatic blinds kept coming up” ella explained as you nodded along.

“i never even noticed to be honest, but i remember you complaining about it in the morning” alessia pointed over to you.

“yeah and i only noticed them because you’d took all the blankets from me and i’d woke up freezing, and then-“ you began as the blonde across you cut you off with a gasp as her mouth went wide open.

“you say this all the time, but i don’t hog the covers!” the blonde said in a defensive tone, ella watching with a smirk on her face at the bickering between the two of you an occasional giggle coming from her.

“how would you know if you do or don’t? your asleep less?” ella commented as you hummed your eyes going wide, “exactly!”

“and then the stupid blinds kept me awake and then less had her alarm set for dead early and she didn’t even wake up — honestly worst night sleep i’ve ever had.” you grumbled carrying on with your small story as alessia mumbled into her mic about you being overly dramatic.

“oh i hate alarms me, i’m the type who had to wake straight up as soon as it goes off” ella says as you hum, “cause once you start snoozing, it’s game over”

“lessi is the worst for snoozing”

the podcast carry’s one as you talk along with the two girls, about random things that start a different conversation until you get up to the fan questions section of the pod.

“so we are up to when you guys at home get to know ella and lessi more off the pitch as they answer your questions where nothing is off limits, i’m excited for this bit” you smile down the camera before smirking to the two girls as they look at each other scared. you continuing to scroll through the ipad.

“first one is weirdest thing your both scared of?” you say giggling to yourself knowing what both of their answers are going to be.

“probably bananas” ella says pulling a face of disgust as you ask why. “i dunno, i just really don’t like them.

“um turkeys or just birds in general” alessia shrugs as your mind takes you back to the world cup of when there was loads of them there.

“there definitely both weird, the next one is directly for you lessi — this fan has said: alessia your half italian but can you actually speak it” you say reading the comment word for word off the ipad, looking up to see the blondes blank face as you begin to laugh along with ella.

“well i can understand it, i tried to learn how to speak it and i can speak a few words..” less trails off her words getting quieter and quieter with each one she spoke.

you raised your eyebrows humming in amusement, “yep and by tried you mean one duolingo lesson?”

“pretty hard to try and learn it when you have someone distracting you every five seconds wanting attention!” alessia argued, taking a sip of her water which was next to her.

“sorry for showing and giving my girlfriend some love?” you scoffed jokingly as you placed your hands in the air in defence. “next time i won’t bother” you added sassily.

the blonde pouting, mumbling along the lines of that you know that she loves giving you her attention you humming at her response, the blonde holding her hands up in an attempt at a heart with her fingers getting a small smile from you.

as ella dry retched down the mic, “do you have to do the lovey dovey stuff every where we go!”

“okay this is a good one, who’s the better driver” you ask, putting the ipad to the other side.

“well i think we can both agree who it’s not-“ alessia smirked pointed between her and ella who nodded in agreement knowing what the blonde was going to say.

“who?”

“you- do you not…” alessia began before you cut her off, “hang on the question wasn’t to include me, and i know the story your gonna tell and it’s gonna be completely wrong but carry on” you sulked, sinking further in the chair you were sat in opposite the two best friends.

“no so you were in a really tight parking spot, which can i add i told you not to park in-“ alessia began to tell the story in between laughs as tooney listened intently, you sat across from them with a frown on your face.

“—and there was this bollard to the right of the car and i told you that you were gonna hit it if you carried on but you were adamant you weren’t gonna hit it. and of course who was right cause then the back of your car ended up with a massive dent in the back along with scratches along the side”

“yeah but in my defense right, since i did move slightly the way you told me to and if i hadn’t i definitely would have missed it” you defended yourself as alessia rose her eyebrows not totally convinced.

“is this the day you came to england camp sulking?” ella asked as alessia nodded her head slowly in response for you, you not wanting to admit it.

“and now i’m banned from driving lessi’s car-“ your frown deepened.

“i mean i’m not surprised!”

“and that’s all we have time for today, before i get outed anymore!” you perked up once again, the two girls straightening themselves up as you looked down the central camera.

“like you haven’t been outing us for the whole ep love” alessia commented as you waved your hand at what she said.

“thanks for joining me, less and tooney as i third wheeled-“ you began again but got cut off by ella. “no i was, as always!”

“bye!”

Real take: I like Star Wars. I like the prequels because they have more fleshed out world building than the originals. I like the originals because it has a compelling storyline and character building. I like the cartoons because they do things that live action cannot. I like the children’s show Young Jedi Adventures and I think it’s both cute, extremely full of world building, and it’s designed to bring back the cartoon storyline of learning a lesson every episode that young children can relate to. I like the Mandalorian because it took a species with exactly two known people from it, and added a third, but made them a baby, and they were cute, and it shows the morals of Mandalorian adoption and love for children. I love Ahsoka because it took a favorite cartoon series and not only brought it to life, but also it’s funny and very full of world building for both the New Republic Rebellion scene, as well as more Dathomirian nightsister lore. I love a lot of other Star Wars off-shoots because they gave good storylines, they try to bridge plotholes, and a lot of amazing characters and new places to play with. I adore, fucking love, would give my life for Star Wars Visions; the lore and new concepts alone have captivated me and I can and HAVE made posts about things Visions did that no other SW series has touched and I’m so obsessed with the force and it’s aspects as well as just species and such you have no idea I would sell any of you for SW Visions. In fact, I would sell any of you for Young Jedi Adventures too. The worldbuilding alone for those two series is enough to have me vibrating with excitement with every episode. Sometimes I rewatch episodes of them just for random juicy facts that I can use for fics.

But you know why I don’t tell people I like Star Wars in real life? People always lookin at something they hate, and the most incel take on it is that it’s got too many women now. But irl non-fandom people who just want to ‘enjoy the ambiance of the original trilogy’ and me do not get along because they actually hate Star Wars. They genuinely hate Star Wars.

I can give you 50 plot lines in various sections of canon and legends that boiled my blood (tho not that one time Anakin at 12 literally boiled a man’s blood inside his body, that was hilarious his eyes turned black like a demons I’m so obsessed with him), but I’m not gonna talk about those.

Aren’t you exhausted? Wouldn’t it be nicer to gush about how amazing a certain costume design was? How the implications of a certain species makes you so excited you could burst? Wouldn’t you like to talk about how that one character just doesn’t get enough love and it wasn’t because they were fridged it was just because they didn’t get enough love from the fans for being black or female or disabled or something?

I am going to tell you this now, and you’re gonna hate me for it but I’m right: if you didn’t like Mortis because you think the force Doesn’t Work Like That? You don’t like Star Wars.

I’m tired of interacting with comments on commercials because it’s full of idiots crying about more women, a black character, the fact that ‘oh that wouldn’t happen’ as if the High Republic era didn’t literally have some sort of fucked up midichlorian vampire roaming the outer rim killing anyone force sensitive. Obviously they def would have acolytes set before the prequels shove it up your ass.

Anyways. Stop talking about what you hate. Yes, I get it. We are tired of rote pumped stories, but that doesn’t change the fact that there will ALWAYS be someone who hates the story you love, and loves the story you hate. You cannot please everyone, and I for one have found just about all off-shoot SW series individualized and compelling in some way or another.

You know what I did when I starting hating about 90% of all new Marvel movies? I stopped watching them. If I want back in the fandom I have older ones I can watch or simply only interact with fics.

Because Marvel, as much as they Need To Calm Their Shit, isn’t about me, and it isn’t for me anymore.

But I think a lot of you hate so much Star Wars content that you truly need to stop interacting with the series. It’s not for you anymore. And just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not real SW. Not sorry, but this ain’t your scene anymore and you need to find a new one.

Why didn't Viv just make a pure romance animation instead of throwing away premise for the favor of terminally online shippers?

Probably because she doesn't really know how to stick to the premise of her shows. Like I genuinely think that Viv initially started with the idea of Helluva Boss being about assasins going to the human world to kill people for clients, but over the course of the show's production she slowely started coming up with more plotlines and ideas and slowely put them into the show regardless how many of them there would end up being, and Stolitz was likely the biggest one.

I've seen some people even say that Stolitz is the point of the show. It is not. Stolitz was not the premise of HB. It just eventually took over HB as the series went on. The show completely lost it's focus and PLOT in favor of becoming a melodramitic romance story featuring a horrendously written reletionship that people for SOME REASON insist on trying to defend.

It's genuinely pretty sad how HB went into this direction. Like the show had such an interesting premise that could've made for so many creative ideas but the writers just threw it away in favor of throwing a gizzalion plotlines at the wall because they coulden't decide which one to focus on.

Stolitz is the worst of these not only because the reletionship is just badly written, but also because it warps the show to be about it. The show has now become a shitty romance story intended to cater only to shippers, completely alienating the demographic the first season and pilot attracted. And I'm sick of people defending this shit with "ohhhh but the show's premise would get repetive!" because there are plenty of ways a show could utilize it's premise without it being repetive. I got an ask mentioning BDFI but there's also Penn Zero Part Time Hero; a prime example of a show that utilizes it's premise to it's full creative potiential and makes it into the main appeal of the show.

And that's the thing; the main premise of the show is the APPEAL of it. It's the thing that draws a viewer into checking it out. A show abandoning that is not good writting. Helluva Boss feels like it doesn't know what it wants to even BE anymore. Is it a episodic dark comedy show? A romantic drama show? Just a straight drama show? We don't fucking know anymore and the show certainly doesn't.

There ARE ways to stray from the premise a bit without alienating past viewers, Amphibia's third season moved to earth for the first half but that was because it was a natural way to progress the series. Helluva Boss jams three premises for three different shows into one and what we now have is a completely confused mess of a story that lost it's identity.

And THAT'S why abonding the premise killed HB. It lost any real focus of what it wanted to be and is the sole thing behind most of the show's major issues. It jams too many plotlines into just 1-2 seasons resulting in everything being a completely unfocused mess.

“Nine would have treated Martha better than Ten did”

I need to talk about this argument that never seems to stop circulating.

Note: Not a venomous/anti post. There’s more than enough of that across fandom spaces as is, and this is supposed to be a place for ✨sweet, blissful escapism✨

When making this argument, people seem to envision a scenario in which Nine never met Rose.

While I can appreciate a good hypothetical, recognizing Rose's significance to the Doctor (Nine and Ten) is essential to understanding why things with Martha played out the way they did in the first place.

In the third series, the Doctor is grieving. This grief is deliberately threaded into nearly every script, whether spoken aloud or not (and these are just a few examples):

He's burning in Rose’s wake the entire time Martha travels with him, which is why it’s so frequently called upon: It’s 100% deliberate in framing his grief. He grieved as Nine too, of course— having been fresh on the heels of the Time War — but then he met Rose, which changed everything.

Back then, he was still a rude, traumatized pain in the ass, but we watch Rose soften more of those jagged edges with every episode as they grow closer; as he lets his guard down and forms a deep connection with her.

He falls in love (against his better judgment) and it's game over.

And yes: provided S1E1 had been titled 'Martha', one can realistically assume things might have unfolded similarly to how they did with Rose. However, it wouldn’t have been that way just because the Doctor was Nine and “Nine was different” — it would be because he wasn’t already in love with someone else. The same can't be said for the start of S3.

Think of it like this: if Rose AND Martha had been in that cellar — if Nine had taken both of them along with him in S1 — we’d eventually be looking at the most melodramatic love triangle ever, what with him living in close quarters with two brilliant, gorgeous, compassionate young women... But Doctor Who is plenty “soap opera” as is with just one woman in the TARDIS.

(I certainly wouldn’t object to reading that fic, though)

Now, regarding the unrequited elephant in the room…

His inability to be romantic with Martha isn’t because he thinks her lesser, nor is it for lack of compatibility. It isn't because Rose is any better than her. It certainly isn’t just because he’s Ten.

It’s really only for one reason, which can't be denied — and now I’m a broken record:

He is still in love with Rose.

Nine is Ten, and Ten is only such a mess in S3 because he’s just lost the love of his life. Martha merely got caught in the crosshairs of a volatile Time Lord in mourning, and yes — it sucks. Absolutely.

But it also feels dismissive to chalk Ten and Martha’s relationship up to little more than some sort of mindless dance of pining, jealousy, and toxicity.

Ten trusted Martha with his life over and over again — and hers, with him. He constantly praised her brilliance, happily carting her around time and space with no intention of letting her go. In the BBC’s extended universe of novels/comics/cartoons/etc, there’s so much depth to their relationship: love and trust and trauma and sacrifice. They had their own special bond as mates, their own complexities — so it’s a bummer that it's forever overshadowed by the other things.

I’m not denying that there was a lot of stuff that sucked/was for sure toxic about Ten's S3 behavior, but so many of the things I've seen him catching flak for can be directly attributed to being A Clueless Fucking Alien Idiot (not a trait that’s unique to Ten) — as well as his flat-out obliviousness to Martha’s feelings.

So yes, I agree: if Rose never existed, he would have treated Martha differently as Nine. He also would have treated her differently as Ten. Certainly.

But Rose did exist, and when discussing canon, it matters.

“He tells me that he absolutely, 100% loves Rose... He tells me how my daughter; my wonderful, beautiful, clever little girl saved him from himself before… And he says that’s all because of me! I made her into the Rose Tyler that saved him.”

Martha got the short end of the stick in S3. She came round at the wrong place and time, but that doesn't mean it was all bad. It doesn't mean the Doctor didn’t adore her. It certainly doesn't mean the time they spent together was wasted or worthless. They were brilliant!

Sure, he could be a twat, but let it be known that he was a twat with Rose as well, both as Nine and Ten. I’m sure Tentoo can be plenty infuriating, too. So while I'll defend Ten (and Tentoo) into the ground forever and ever and ever, I'll concede that he's fucked up.

The Doctor is a certified Pain In The Ass. It’s one of the things I love so much about this character — dynamics.

But never forget that Martha was goddamn tough as nails and overcame every bit of it. She moved on with her life, and the Doctor moved on with his. One can only pray that, when they inevitably drag her back onto the show (which feels inevitable if I'm honest), we see at once that she's been living her best life for all these years.

Ever since that last mission at the Yokohama arena, he hasn’t seen one shadow of you, and it’s been 2 weeks. No one has ever had this effect on him. Not even Gojo. He’s always on his toes every third period, hoping and wishing that he’d get to see you, but luck wasn’t on his side.

It was torture for him.

Geto, seeming desperate one week in, had tried offering Shoko to walk her to her next class and in hopes that he’ll find you there. She just stared at him with those bored eyes of hers, an unlit cigarette between her lips. Shoko ignored him and walked past him. So much for that. He’d even sent you two texts with no response.

Monday 12: 16 PM Hey missed you today Wednesday 10:16 AM Everything good?

Next would be him walking around the halls, lending Gojo his phone again so that he could leave him alone. Although, he was happy to distract him but at the back of his mind, he’d worry that he’d miss your text if you ever replied to him. It was never like him to wander the halls in between classes, but a desperate man is a desperate man, and that is what he is. He’d hope to bump into you, to see you stutter and flush with bright red cheeks. No hope either. On one of his walks, he happily bumped into Haibara. “Oh, Haibara! Hey!” He beams, raising a hand up with one of his biggest smiles. “How are - “

He froze when the brunette stopped in his tracks completely, a nervous look on his face. Like he had just seen a ghost. Geto was confused, prompting him to copy his movements and stop walking. “Is everything - “

“Oh! Sorry, Geto-san! I forgot something! I’ll just go back where I - “ And much to the senior’s surprise, his junior turned around and started running away. It was the first time he’d seen him do that. In his shock, he didn’t even get to call out his name to get him to stop running. Soon, he was yet again alone in the corridors.

Haibara was usually always so open to him. He was always the one to initiate a conversation first with that all too familiar smile of his. Was there something he did? Not only you haven’t been in contact with him and now Haibara seems to be avoiding him. This makes him uneasy. Avoiding him wasn’t the case with the other female students that pass him by who tries to strike up a conversation, fawning over him like he was some kind of sacred being. He didn’t want to come of as rude, so he just offered them a forced smile, waiving them, and said he had to get back to class even though he was walking in the wrong direction. After all those days of walking aimlessly through the hallways, he had finally been caught by his Sensei Yaga who reprimanded him for loitering. 3rd week started, and he stopped taking those walks.

Now that Geto was not walking around the corridors, he opted to just lay his head on his armchair, staring outside the window while his classmate Gojo kept chattering from the teacher’s table nonstop, even if Geto wasn’t listening to him at all.

After an hour in, Gojo finally stops his spoiler-centric story on Digimon’s latest episode and throws a pencil at Geto’s head. “Oi, are you even listening Suguru?”

He didn’t respond.

“What’s going on with you lately? Is it because we haven’t been going on missions that you’re so gloomy?”

Still nothing.

“Wow, now you’re ignoring me. I’m hurt, Suguru.”

Geto sighs and finally sits up in his seat, “I’m just not in the mood to talk right now, Satoru. You think that’s okay?”

He wasn’t able to mask his irritation from his voice which made Gojo raise his eyebrows, almost seeming surprised at the sudden negative response from his classmate.

“I don’t know, do you think that’s okay?” The snow white-haired man finally says, propping his legs up on the teacher’s table and picking up an eraser this time, throwing it at Suguru which hit him in his chest.

This made Geto glared daggers at him, “What’s your deal?”

“I don’t know, what’s your deal?”

“You’re acting like a child.”

“I don’t know, am I?” Gojo grabs a chalk, spinning it around his fingers.

“Don’t you dare throw that at me.”

They stared down at each other, Geto doing his best to wear this expression on his face saying ‘I’ll make you regret it’. Gojo on the other hand, is sporting a blank stare, probably wondering why his classmate is so annoyed right now. Suddenly, Shoko enters the room, making Geto drop his mad face and sigh to himself. He was about to apologize to Gojo for his behavior when he suddenly felt the chalk hit him on his forehead this time.

He abruptly stands up from his seat and grabs his bag, ready to leave the classroom even if he still has 3 classes left for the day.

“Oh so now you’re just leaving? Tough guy act only to chicken out?” Gojo says, raising his arms to gesture at Geto.

“I don’t need this right now.” He says.

In the midst of all of this, Shoko didn’t even look up from her phone as she was walking to her seat. Not even bothering to ask what’s going on or to defuse the situation. He was mad, but he was careful not to bump her on his way to the door.

“Geto.” She finally speaks, eyes still glued to her phone.

He stops and turns around to look at her with an unamused look on his face.

“Why won’t you just call her?”

“Call who?” Gojo says as he rocks in the teacher’s chair back and forth, feet still propped up on the table.

It took him a while to realize what she was insinuating until he finally comes to the realization and immediately turned red in the face. He quickly turns his back on his classmates to hide it.

“Or you can just tell me where she is like I’ve been asking you to.” He says after a few beats of silence.

He hears the wooden chair scrape against the floor, indicating that Shoko is taking her seat. “Don’t you want to hear from her?”

“Who are we talking about? Who is this lady?” Gojo pipes up again, alternatively fliting his gaze between the two with a bewildered expression on his visage.

Geto stands there for a bit before he continues to walk out of the classroom.

Earlier . . . “I gotta find Nananmi!” Haibara says as he runs as fast as he can away from his senior. “No running in the halls!” Sensei Yaga bellows as the junior passes by his office. “I’m so sorry!”

My personal Community NBC Episode Tierlist

First of all, I'd like to say that this is bound to change at some point. I change my mind about this show all the time. Second of all, hi. Third of all, you can find the tierlist maker here. The ranking system here is not... great... I tried adapting to my brain's needs. The episodes in "What the fuck" aren't actually all that bad, there's definitely worse episodes: I'm just really dissapointed in all the potential they had.

I wanted to ask you this since you seem like an Undead Unluck expert. Me and a friend of mine watched the last episode of the Undead Unluck anime together yesterday and they asked me: "Why didn't Andy use Life is Strange on Rip instead of Anno Un?"

I just assumed that since this version of Life Is Strange was drawn by the G-Liner, it could only be used by the person wielding the G-Liner, but I'm not entirely sure if that's the case or not. Also, I've read the manga, but don't remember if it was ever brought up who could or couldn't use what the G-Liner had drawn.

I actually made a post about this exact question when that happened in the manga! I originally criticized Anno's plan for that exact reason, but there're a couple of reasons I can think of

First, they were kind of in the middle of a fight for their lives. Taking the time to ask Andy to use an Artifact could have left an opening for Autumn to attack, so it was probably just quicker to do it himself

Second, the Anno body was in pretty rough shape, and only a representation of Akira in the first place, so he wasn't exactly an asset to have in the fight anyway. He likely viewed this act as the only thing that would really give him value at this point, so there's no sense in endangering everyone else to protect someone who can't contribute anymore

Third, it's hard to say what Life is Strange would actually do to Andy. I think it's safe to say "nothing," but Anno might have been worried it would age his body since he wouldn't be living through the aging process. It probably wouldn't have, but why take the risk?

Fourth, Anno may not have predicted that G-Liner would break. I certainly wouldn't have guessed it would, so sacrificing Anno to just make him again later would have been a reasonable strategy, it was just unfortunate that it didn't work out

Finally, and this is the real life reason it had happen this way, it was SUCH A GOOD SCENE! It was the culmination of Akira's entire story, and Andy's goodbye to Anno was the perfect summation of the arc's theme of living on through memory.

"Even if no one could actually see him, so long as there were people who remembered him he would be right there. That was the belief that Andy chose to hold."

Even if there's a logistical way that things could have been "better," would you really trade the narrative weight of what we got just because something else "makes more sense?" I know I wouldn't

2) A ship that might surprise others: I kinda ship Link x Mipha from BOTW. I like Zelda x Link too, but something about Link x Mipha is just so sweet and tragic. I like that they knew each other for a lot longer than Zelda and Link knew each other.

Let's be real. I don't have a lot of crazy ships. Although, in SG-1, I do ship Vala x Tomin (but I also like Vala x Daniel).

#i am in a massive stargate phase right now #i almost put john and rodney as the third brotp but i wanted to include something non stargate #and seriously. i am enjoying the x-files SO MUCH!!!!!!!! #the alien episodes are my favorite and i wish there were more of those and fewer of the ghost/spirit ones #but oh well #and can i say? mulder and scully's dynamic is perfection #not just how they trust each other or tease each other but how they physically behave with one another #the acting choices seem very deliberate #mulder wears his heart on his sleeve and i am living for that #and he's big on touch. not in a creepy way at all #but he's constantly putting his hand on her shoulder or gently placing his hand on her back to steer her #so much of it is 100% unnecessary for the scene so it feels like very deliberate acting choice regarding the character #and it doesn't phase scully a bit #even in the first few episodes when they've only known each other a few months or less she has no issue with how familiar mulder acts #again. i need to emphasize---it never comes across as creepy just really cute and tender #i really really like how she is SO TINY compared to him and i think his physicality and protectiveness is emphasized by that #but at the same time he knows she's fully capable #he seems protective of her but not in a demeaning way. not overprotective. just lots of chivalry and honor #that's something that seems totally lost in media today: men who want to protect women just because that's what they should be doing #and women who let them #too many women get bent out of shape when men try to be gentlemen #women have tried to wipe out chivalry and then they turn around and complain about toxic masculinity 🙄 #but mulder is a wonderful gentleman and i love watching him and scully #tagged #sorry for going off in the tags but i've been wanting to rave about this stuff for a few days now xD

'Martha didn't get her own Doctor' Martha is one of the last companions that would want her own Doctor. She's one of the few companions to have left of her own free will and not to have an on off friendship with the Doctor in which they can just wander back into her life at any point. She left the option of the Doctor coming back into her life as something only she could invoke. He would wait on her to call him, not just drop in whenever like they used to do to the Ponds and Clara. She originally leaves that life behind entirely to finish what she started - becoming a doctor. She's not waiting around for the Doctor to fall back out of the sky. The only companions I could see really wanting their own Doctor, is Captain Jack - who's absolutely not allowed one in any circumstances - or Yaz both of whom would probably be better off without one tbh

#Aah I have so many thoughts concerning this episode #First of all: that I can think of Lucy really is the character that grew the most on me. #I remember I really didn't feel strongly for her the first time I watched and through the first year or so‚ #even after finishing reading the manga‚ but now I really like her a lot and feel strong sympathy for her!! #Second. I remember the first time watching I found Fitzgerald's portrayal really distatsteful... #Like I get there's a whole deal of the usa's economic power having destroyed literal countries. #And Japanese people are rightfully enraged at them. #And I get there's a whole deal of cultural colonization made by the usa of half the world #That said. I don't like countries stereotypes in general no matter the country. I believe it's harmful to enable stereotypes full stop. #Moreso in bsd where a lot of it feels to me like “Our country is the best and all other countries are bad / evil / lesser” #(Again like. There IS an issue with how every single foreign character is a villain if you ask me) #(And this is coming from someone who's not from the usa nor feels particular kinship with it. #Just to clarify that I shouldn't be holding preceding bias.
