The Millie-Sallie Mae short would've been cute if it weren't for the fact that Vivziepop will give her men multiple episodes dedicated to them. However, her women are lucky if they're even the side focus in episodes, let alone the main character.
Vivziepop will shower her men with heavy amounts of attention, exploring their backstories and their relationships with other men in MULTIPLE episodes, while her women get breadcrumbs, receiving little focus by comparison.

The Millie Problem
The first Helluva Boss short came out and...it was mid. It's cute and harmless, sure, but it's also nothing special or anything that great. The short once again tries and fails to give Millie any real depth and it made me realize the biggest flaw with Millie as a character...
....the writers don't know how to give her depth. I've talked this before but now it seems like a fairly common thing for Millie as a character that it's time to make a post about this. The writers clearly want to give Millie depth but like I said the problem is that they don't seem to know HOW, and here I'm going to explain why the writers' attempts at giving Millie depth simply don't work.
In Season 1 Millie kinda just...existed. She was there. She had little personality or character depth beyond being Moxxie's wife, she was completely one-dimensional as a character.
Season 2 would come and try to give her depth with Unhappy Campers, and this is where the problem begins to arise. Instead of actually focusing on Millie as a character, Unhappy Campers wasted it's runtime on focusing on Moxxie being jealous and decided to just. Randomly give Millie validation issues completely out of nowhere.
I've spoken before about this doesn't work, so I'll just explain it quick; it comes out of nowhere. Millie has never shown to want validation from others, there was no foreshadowing or build-up to this, thus it feels forced and rushed. It's just a random character flaw the writers pulled out their ass in a rushed and failed attempt at giving Millie depth.
But it doesn't give her depth because it came out of nowhere. This flaw is also never explored upoun; the show never explores this insecurity or why Millie even has it. Feels tacked on to her.
It is, essentially, a rushed attempt at giving her depth. This is a conflict that comes completely out of nowhere and is heavily underdeveloped. It does little for Millie as a character and fails to give her depth.
The new short is the second instance of this; once again we have a conflict where Sally is upset that Millie moved away and they reconcile in the end. This conflict is at least better than the other two of three times is happened, however, it still has the same problems; it doesn't really do that much for Millie as a character. It comes out of nowhere and is explored very little.
It's not enough to develop Millie as a character, it simply feels like the bare minimum. Once again; it's a conflict that comes out of nowhere, is explored very little, and gives little depth to Millie as a character. It once again, feels tacked on.
Now we're going to go into leak territory here as a future episode called GhostFuckers shows the third instance of the writers attempting to give Millie depth. How are they going to do it this time?
By making Millie suicidal of course! ....wait I'm sorry what???? Like with Unhappy Campers I've spoken before about why this doesn't work but of the three instances, this is easily the worst one. Why is Millie being suicidal here??? WHY have her be suicidal in the first place??? What's the point?????
This adds nothing to Millie as a character and once again feels forced and tacked on. Like the other two instances, it comes completely out of nowhere. Plus it just flat out makes no sense! Why does Millie apparently hate herself for "being a killing machine" when that is LITERALLY THE THING HER HUSBAND LOVES ABOUT HER AND WHEN THAT'S THE THING THAT MAKES HER ONE OF THE BEST MEMBERS OF THE GROUP???? WHY DOES SHE HATE HERSELF??? AND WHY IS SHE SUDDENELY SUICIDAL???? WHY DOES SHE SUDDENLY FEEL LIKE A BURDEN TO HER HUSBAND????? Once again, it's a forced attempt at giving Millie depth and feels tacked on.
It comes out of nowhere & is extremely forced. Granted, the episode hasn't come out yet, however judging by the leaks it seems like the episode will be the third instance of the writers randomly introducing conflicts out of nowhere in order to give Millie depth.
It's clear that the writers want to flesh out Millie as a character, but the problem is that they don't seem to know how. They constantly try introducing random conflicts for Millie to try and give her character depth, but they fail because every time the writers try to give Millie depth, it always comes out of nowhere. They always feel rushed, tacked on, and they just don't add anything to her as a character. It just feels like the bare minimum.
I want to like Millie, I really do, but it seems like the writers just don't know what to do with her anymore.

So how u feel about the new short?
https://youtu.be/_38dtqdR5V4?si=AFYQA71f3oC57e2-
It’s a bit cute but not anything special. It’s weird that Millie and Sallie suddenly have this “OMG WERE BEST SISTERS EVAH!!!” dynamic when the last episode they interacted in the two kind of had a rivalry going on that just…disappears here. You could say they still love each other in spite of their rivalry but it’s still a jarring change in their dynamic.
The emotional moment in the end, while cute, does very little for Millie as a character. It really feels like the writers don’t know how to give Millie real depth and just give her small moments that TRY to give her depth…but don’t, usually because the conflicts are either heavily unexplored or just come out of nowhere.
This falls into the former for me. Once again we kinda just have a conflict for me that comes out of nowhere and isn’t explored, thus failing to give her depth. Sallie is fine, again her change in character compared to her last appearance is weird and makes no sense but she’s ok.
The short was just kinda ok for me. It’s harmless and kinda cute but it’s not really that memorable. It’s eh. 6/10, probably nearing a 5.5/10 to me.

writers and artists will go "this isn't good enough." my brother in christ, you're creating something new out of nothing and expressing yourself creatively. your productivity and unrealistic standards of perfection do not define you or the worth of your art. you're doing great.

Brandon Rogers being like: “Oh yeah fuck this 17-year-old kid, who the fuck cares if she's upset that her father is cheating.” Is like me saying, “Oh yeah, my protagonist ocs that are upset at my villain oc? Oh yeah just fuck em, my villain oc is justified to murder people because reasons.”

Do you think this fandom can still improve despite everything? Is it Viv and Spindlehorse's fault that this fandom is problematic or there is deeper root cause? Despite the amount of negativity both hh and hb recieved, is it still possible to listen to fans who give constructive criticism and improve both shows? Many fans often say something like"The Spindlehorse's crew don't want to listen to critics because there are too many bad faith criticism and hate" or "Those critics don't have the vision of the creators so their advices are invalid." I think both sides of this fandom are overly aggressive to whatever happened. It must have something behind it.
I think the reason why the fandom reacts so poorly to criticism is a mix of several factors:
These shows are fairly popular, the more popular something is the bigger the fanbase will be. And, likewise, some fans would be very defensive when it comes to criticism.
The batshit insane twitter users and fake outrage being confused with the actual critiques people have of the shows. I'll admit, early critical videos were...not great to say the least (cough cough Pkrussel cough cough), and many of Viv's past controversies are admittedly dumb. However, there are real issues people have with these shows and Vivziepop, however, because of all the past controversies with Viv being over-blown, fans lump these real and valid critiques in with the fake Twitter outrage, causing this confusing mess.
Vivziepop's reaction to critiscm. She directly dismisses critiques people have of her shows and pretty clearly spends a bit too much time on online discourse about her shows. Viv IS aware of the critiques people have of her shows but she has this very immature response to criticism just looking at her twitter, and, this does translate to the fandom as well.
Drama channels such as AyyLmao and Iox constantly defending Viv and her shows. AyyLmao is a fairly big channel and a lot of his videos are about controversies surrounding Viv. Pretty much all of these tend to be heavily biased as AyyLmao instantly takes Viv's side, as in several of his videos he deliberately chooses to lump in the actual critiques of the shows with the deranged Twitter users online, which contributes to the second problem I mentioned above. This can be seen with his hatedom video where he says that most of the criticism at least on Twitter isn't "real criticism" and "just hate disguised on such". Notice how he says that at least on Twitter the criticism is just hate. He's deliberately making it look like the critical community is just a bunch of deranged Twitter users who just hate Viv cuz they are jealous or something, when looking at sites such as Reddit, Youtube, Tumblr, etc you'll see people with ACTUAL PROBLEMS with the shows, by AyyLmao's ignoring that in order paint the critical community as a toxic hell-hole. He pretends to be neutral in the video but he clearly is biased with how he paints the critics here, as he only focuses on this one site just to make it look like the critical community is just an annoying vocal minority on Twitter. and because of that, the fandom views the critical community as just that; just an annoying vocal minority of Twitter users who shouldn't be taken seriously.
The fandom just refusing to engage with people's critiques because they can't handle criticism of their favorite shows. That's pretty obvious.
I don't think the fandom will get better any time soon given these factors I just mentioned. Until Viv learns to accept criticism, until Viv drama channels stop defending her bullshit, and until the fandom actually engages with people's critiques rather than sending death threats...ya no this fandom is still going to be awful.

You know when looking at Octavia, she's just a teenager who is trying to have a good life and is afraid her father will left her. I mean,I get her attitude is sometimes can't be related but we have to know, that poor girl is just a child. A teenager. I can't imagine why some of the audiences and Brandon would hate her. It's not like she asked for it,she's just afraid blitzo will take stolas away from her. And she's already been through enough.
Honestly,if I were in that show,I would adopt Octavia and give her the best best ever hug she needs. And also,I think this song suited us who wants her to have a good life away from stolas and those who wants to harm via:
https://youtu.be/0xgaqhe5QiM?si=pHzmUb9xoMwYmjQR
https://youtu.be/pBfbC27JaFY?si=DYWnxhU4A9Mo0uUu
https://youtu.be/v8jJD15-E6o?si=icEVeaOV7qPe9sxJ
https://youtu.be/qOW9l6m0FLY?si=_j_FtVv5cBartU3_
That is what Octavia is. She's just a teenager going through a hard experience, afraid that her dad might leave her for his fuck buddy...
...and people are demonizing her because she dared get mad at Stolas. Girl did NOTHING wrong, yet, like with the other people Stolas hurt, she's vilified.

So I just finished the first season of MHA. I'll just give my thoughts on each arc so far:
Entrance Exam Arc: It was a long time since I watched this one so I don't remember much, but I do remember enjoying it quite a bit. A good introduction to the show, 8/10
Quirk Test Arc: Continues off the last arc quite well. A bit weird that Bakugo is surprised that Midoria has a quirk given what he saw him do last arc but aside from that, there's nothing wrong with this one, 7.5/10/
Battle Trial Arc: We get a lot of really cool fights here and it's a good starting point for Bakugo and Midoryia's rivalry. The stuff for Bakugo as a character and that rivalry is fairly interesting as well, there's a lot of tension between the two. 8/10.
USJ Arc: Best one so far. I could make a whole post about this one so I'll just keep it short; it's a great climax to the first season and it's the first major challenge the students have to face. The League of villains are threatening antagonists in this arc and it raises the stakes because we know exactly what they are capable of. The students also get to see what kind of threats pro heroes have to face every day, and how dangerous a villain can truly be.
Also, characters get injured in this arc. Like. REALLY BADLY. It adds so much stakes and tension to fights and this whole arc. We also get some of the best fights in the show so far. Ya, I REALLY liked this one, 9/10.
So ya, MHA is pretty great so far, 8/10. Now onto season 2...

It baffles me the lengths the fandom/writers will go to just to make stolitz problems look like it's everyone's fault except Stolas. Stella, who has a right to be angry? Lobotomize her, remove her personality. Blitzø calling him out for using him and forcing him into the arrangement? "Noooo, it's a misunderstanding. he loved him all along" (barf). Octavia? God, it's so gross how they treat her.
I swear I'm living in bizzaro world because how can there be so many people defending this man, to the point where a fan song's lyrics were changed by the creator to try (and fail) to make this character sympathetic
The show & the fandom have this strange insistence on completely ignoring and absolving Stolas' mistakes and treating him as an UwU soft boy who did "nothing wrong". They made Stella abusive solely so they could use her as a scapegoat and that's pretty much it.
It's why the show demonizes the characters who Stolas hurt, it can't admit that Stolas is a bad or flawed person because it wants to keep him sympathetic. Really the show should've never tried to make Stolas sympathetic in the first place and actually make him a flawed character that eventually grows as a person.
But we can't have interesting writing in Viv's shows, can we?

My comment was inspired by a post about a similar palette between Carmilla and Veggie, let’s move on to the topic. As an artist, it’s painful and embarrassing for me to look at the palette of characters from Hazbin Hotel, literally all characters in Vivzypop have the same palette, stop at a moment where the whole group is together and you will see how everyone is the same, it’s just red, pink, yellow, and a white mess, only ones that are different are Vox, Zestial, Adam, and Sera (I don't know if Lute and Emily count, since they have a similar palette to Adam and Sera), you won't find purple, green, and yellow characters in series, and so on, Hotel Hazbin has no color variety at all, and as an artist Vivzypop should be ashamed of this, poor people with poor eyesight cannot distinguish characters at all, let alone some colorblind people
Ya a lot of the characters have mostly the same color pallet and I can see why it might be an annoying design choice to some especially to color-blind people.

Hazbin fans: "Charlie looks nice but she could also be mean🥺🥺"
Also Charlie: refuses to help angel dust from Valentino cause she thought she was being "too mean" although being extremely powerful as Lucifer (and y'all know how powerful he is, mf could be at his bald ass in a sitting) and during the finale she is constantly saying "sorry sorry sorry" as she kills exorcists, like be for real they'll probably respawn in heaven or some shit they're all ready dead 💀💀💀
As much as I like Charlie she is not badass and takes way too much time to actually help people cause when she's actually supposed to take things seriously it's supposedly "rude and mean"
Wow, great writing Viv...
The sad part is that pilot Charlie wasn't like this.
Like girl was willing to throw hands with Katie Killjoy lmao, GIVE ME BACK PILOT CHARLIE!!!!

Afraid not -_- It's been said on Lily's blog and on the wiki that Marah only does the mating bond after moving into the madhouse home.
According to the wiki, Marah is apparently 8 years old, while G is...24.
Sweet Jesus, someone call the cops.
As an aside, I ended up looking at the change history on the wiki, and I had to laugh at this change done on G's section:

What a change.

Lily's thoughts on bloodbending, if you haven't seen them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because somehow, Aang finding a way to painlessly deprive the Fire Lord of his bending is "permanently disabling someone".
It's not like Amon used bloodbending to do the exact same thing to his victims, right?
Wow.
So her supper cool and badass avatar, who we are told is supposed to not like violence, would rather use the most violent methods available instead of just learning to use Chi Blocking.
A method that literally disarms people temporarily, and has been shown to be more like a "taser" than blood bending.
Blood bending is more like bringing mustard gas to a knife fight.
As for energy bending being a "permanent disability", well... She's not totally wrong. Removing someone's bending is taking a part of themselves away. Like, imagine living with the ability to do something your whole life, only to have it take away?
You can still survive without it, it would just be an adjustment and should really only be used in extreme cases.
But regardless, you still don't need Chi Bending OR Energy bending to restrain or disable someone's bending. Like, just put them in a stone cage or freeze their bodies or, I don't know, use water bending to act as a rope restraint? There are a thousand ways you could restrain someone in a rather inventive way if you try hard enough.
(This of course applies only to normal circumstances, and not extreme ones like Aang had to deal with.)
Heck, we've seen it done in the show plenty of times. Blood bending is just lazy.
