Yesterday at work I was helping get knee radiographs on this really overweight dog, but her pudge kept getting in the way. So, of course, the other tech leans over and produces a wooden spatula and says "this is The Foopa Spoon" and proceeds to use it to pull the dog's fat out of the way. It took everything in me to not start cackling yall. Foopa Spoon.
To the woman who played the Barbie that was in a wheelchair and also a veterinarian, you made me cry. Thank you.
As a vet tech who’s goal is to become a veterinarian, and as a chronically ill woman who sometimes needs a wheelchair to get around, I appreciate it way more than you know, and it honestly gave me hope that was fading. I know you had like 1 second of screen time but that was enough to have a huge impact.
Hes a juvie great horned owl with a messed up wing. Radiographs showed no broken bones so he’s off to a rehabber until he feels well enough to work on flying. This video was right after his X-rays and then he was left alone in the quiet and dark because obviously this whole experience is stressful.
Got to work this morning after a 50min commute due to unplowed roads and for sanity's sake needed to let off a little steam and simultaneously test how the car handled in the empty lot. You know. Good to know how your car handles in these situations. For safety. 👀
I love working at a vet that has rich clients because sometimes I get to feel like I’m talking to Lucille Bluth like this one lady was asking how much our lean treats cost (for a single small bag) and she went “what are those like 20 bucks?” umm ma’am those are $4
Coworkers dog came in for HGE. So much easier to clean up this way. But only works if the patient isn’t anxious AF and rips the potty pads, and isn’t one to eat random things.
