I whimper slightly at the sound of heavy rain falling,water pooling up and rising towards me.My instincts are screaming at me to get to cover when I notice a shelter entrance,a relieved sigh escapes my maw as I slither into the tunnel.My head breaches into the enclosed cave first as I focus on pulling myself into the alcove and when I fully slither in the door closes behind as I ready to wait out the rain but as I lie there I hear a sharp inhale and quickly look up to see a white slugcat brandishing a spear towards me with a look of fear on its face.I quickly jump up,but instead of fighting I raise my two front paws.These things are durable and one with a spear would be major threat in such a close quarters.I motion outside and back up to the very far wall from it.It motions for me to leave so I try to speak to it stating"Please,I just want to escape the rain can I stay until it stops"It freezes and thinks for a moment,shakily it gently says"A-alright but don't try anything funny"I raise a paw and put one on my chest stating"Would'nt dream of it"We sit in silence for 30 or so minutes before she pulls out a bat and begins to eat it,after a moment I guess she notices how I'm looking at the bat because she stops for a moment and asks"Do you want one?"I quickly nod.She pulls out another bat and carefully steps towards me,dropping it at my feet before jumping back.I drop down and tear into the food.

After a couple of hours,me and her get to know eachother.Turns out her name is Faith, and she is currently trying to find her way back home after getting lost during a hunt.I slowly find myself enjoying her company and I barely even notice when the rain stops or when she puts her spear away."And that's how I escaped from the centipedes,they were to stupid to follow me up"I snicker at the latest bit of trouble she has gotten herself into when I hear something moving behind me so I quickly shoot up and see her grab her spear when I hear a hissing voice say"Oh hello there Aila,got yourself a slugcat did ya"I let my voice have its natural hiss and bring my tone a more eager one"Yes,Micrux but I just gotta finish it up,see you outside"He laughs and says"Oh but sis,you misunderstood I want that slugcat"I let my voice get a bit colder"Oh yes,I guess that changes everything now doesn't it"He stops and quickly says"W-wait I m-m-mispoke,what I meant to say was........uh,I want to watch you eat it"With a large level of fear.I nod before walking towards faith,once closer to her I mutter"Cover your eyes"Before shooting a burst of spit at her.Her spear is sent flying as I leap towards her and begin shoving the slugcat into my mouth,she takes a second to realize what's happening,which I'm grateful for because it gives me time to cover her in sticky saliva and swallow her down.A wonderful taste fills my mouth,she tastes both sweet and sour with a bit of a smokey flavor.

My stomach expands a little from the newly added weight of my prey.I murr happily and see my brother just watching in a submissive position.I snap at him"Well,what do you want"He yelps and says"See you at home"before sprinting away.I lie on the ground,gently rubbing the small buldge on my stomach before muttering to Faith"He can be such an asshole sometimes,sorry if it's a bit cramped in There"as I wait for her to say anything I hear a quite sobbing sound.I stop and look around before hearing it again,it's coming from my.............oh my God she doesn't know she's okay.I stumble over myself to sit up before beginning to hack and cough,after a moment Faith slides up my throat and out onto the ground.She shivers and just stares at me as I lean back down and pick her up gently with my teeth,walking over towards a part of the tunnel still flooded before carefully putting her into the cool liquid.I help her get all of the super sticky saliva off of her and she quietly thanks me and just lays down on the earth.I stand over her almost unable to talk to her,I may have just traumatized her for life.She looks up and I see a look of extreme relief on her face and she says"T-thank you for not killing me,but why d-did you eat me"I silently scream in relief before answering"I didn't want my brother to get his claws on you and I didn't realize my mistake until he left.She tackle hugs me and says"Thank you"I look up at the slowly graying sky and look back at her with a grin"Oops guess we gotta get back in the shelter,and this time I'm telling you everything about me"She laughs and we walk back into the cave,shared between friends.

For reasons that have everything and nothing to do with the most recent chapters of I&S, I've been thinking a lot about a time travel AU that I will absolutely never write.

Specifically, I want a time travel AU where little-kid!Zuko (age 9-10) travels forward in time and meets angry-teen!Zuko (we're talking like... the Book 1 egghead version of angry-teen!Zuko here). I know that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, but the way I envision this playing out is:

Teen!Zuko and kid!Zuko meet, and after a healthy amount of confusion, figure out that they're two different versions of the same person. Kid!Zuko is... not thrilled to be stuck on a rickety old ship with a much grumpier version of himself, but hey! Uncle Iroh is here, and he's got lots of board games and even more free time, so it could be worse. Teen!Zuko, meanwhile, is having a bit of a crisis as he gets slapped in the face with several realizations all at once.

Realization #1: A warship is not a good place for a 9-10 year old boy to live, but there's literally nowhere else in the world where kid!Zuko will be safe. For as long as kid!Zuko is stuck in this timeline, teen!Zuko has to look after him.

Realization #2: Oh, shit. No one has seriously fucked up kid!Zuko yet. His life obviously hasn't been perfect, but this is pretty much the peak of kid!Zuko's sweet-and-innocent phase.

Realization #3: ... as fucked up as teen!Zuko's life has been, he desperately doesn't want to be the person who fucks up kid!Zuko's life.

Cue teen!Zuko scrambling to get his shit together so that he can be a reasonably healthy and stable guardian/big brother figure for his younger self. He starts working on his temper and trying to take Iroh's advice more seriously, and while things don't always go smoothly (kid!Zuko definitely picks up some vigilante tendencies from teen!Zuko. There may or may not be sightings of a tiny Blue Spirit causing trouble up and down the Earth Kingdom coast), teen!Zuko eventually figures out what he's doing. He puts in the work to become a decent role model, he deals with some of his own shit (and his outlook on life improves), he grows to see kid!Zuko as the little brother he never had, and he generally doesn't fuck anything up too badly.

Basically, looking after kid!Zuko teaches teen!Zuko self love (but with extra steps! I don't think grumpy-teen!Zuko could ever learn anything the simple way 😂)

All of that growth makes it harder and harder for teen!Zuko to ever envision himself returning to the Fire Nation. After all, if he wouldn't put his younger self through the pain of going back there and dealing with Ozai, why should he put his present self through that? And on a related note, kid!Zuko definitely has questions about teen!Zuko's scar and banishment. When teen!Zuko reaches a point where he's able to think about the Agni Kai, he can't imagine anything that kid!Zuko could ever do to deserve that kind of treatment, which leads teen!Zuko to question whether he deserved it. And as teen!Zuko starts to come to grips with the fact that he's probably never going back home - certainly not if it would mean putting kid!Zuko through the same pain that teen!Zuko experienced there - he has to start considering what other options he has for the future.

Kid!Zuko may or may not accelerate teen!Zuko's redemption arc even more by befriending various members of the Gaang and dragging his 'big brother' along to meet his new friends/disappearing for a few hours with his new friends only to be 'rescued' by teen!Zuko who is... very surprised and very awkward about it when he realizes who kid!Zuko is hanging out with.

There are obviously lots of time travel AUs out there already, but apparently this one is just going to live in my brain for the forseeable future 😂 As much as I love the standard "post-redemption!Zuko meets Book 1 Zuko and mentors his younger self to accelerate his own redemption/drags himself kicking and screaming toward redemption" time travel AUs that I see around the fandom, I think I'm just hungry for a time travel AU where pre-redemption!Zuko doesn't know what his future could look like. To me, there's just something really appealing about the idea of a time travel AU where his redemption gets accelerated not because he knows his life will get better if he becomes a better person, but because he wants to be someone who his younger self can be proud of.

How do you make posts again?-

After a God dang year I got myself to finally do something about my AU and it's finally here... I still am kinda in one place with writting the next chapter BUT I think it's a pretty good start at least for me!

It's the scene from the prologue where Tubbo first went into the main cell to see Dream. First time seeing him in his hybrid form.

The drawing might be just a sketch with shading but I plan few more better things when school calms down with assignments at least a bit.

But if anyone got some asks or ideas then I should be able to answer them at least shortly and maybe it would help my brain move so I write the chapter finally ٩( ᐛ )و.

Jake thinks he knows everything. Sure, maybe he's lost Chloe but he's sure he can keep everyone else under his finger.

He underestimates how loyal Brooke is to Chloe. She's far more loyal to Chloe than to him.

Even without a squip, Rich is still being controlled and he hates it. He never wanted to be this cruel but that's who he was required to be. Perhaps peace could be an option on someone else's side.

Jenna still remains on the outskirts of the group who were once their friends. She begins to pick up on the smallest differences when Chloe and Brooke are by themselves. Then all of a sudden the king and queen are not together. Not in the way where they had their usual fights that explode in the middle of the halls before one of them twists the other back into whatever fucked up relationship they had. And that sudden change? Well, that's enough to get interested in their lives once again.

i didn't like traveler's callousness towards lyney and lynette during the aq, because it's made very clear that the twins joined the house of hearth to stay together... kind of like how traveler is looking for their sibling? and how they were crushed when their sibling rejected them in the first interlude chapter? it felt out of character to me, because traveler consistently folds the moment someone brings their family into things. it happened with childe, navia, and im sure there are more characters that im forgetting. so why was it different with the twins? bc they're fatui? even then, travler has shown the ability the empathize and work with people they don't really like because of a shared understanding of the importance of family. i would think traveler would at least have some sympathy for the fact the twins are both orphans trying to stick together after experiencing tremendous loss and trauma - that is very similar to their own - but i guess not.
