We all know doodles. Golden doodles, labradoodles, aussie doodles, oh my! They’re all the rage right now! But what if I told you that there is a new breed, with all of the good qualities of the doodles and none of the bad??

Introducing the German Water Retriever (GWR)!

They come in three sizes: standard, miniature, and toy! A common concern among doodle owners is there is never a size guarantee; your beloved miniature golden doodle puppy may end up weighing 50lbs as an adult! Not to worry with the GWR, each of the three sizes has a weight guarantee: toy sized will only get up to 17lbs, minis will be 26-31lbs, and for those who like big dogs, the standard German Water Retriever can reach between 44 and 71lbs!

They are often hypoallergenic! Dog allergies stem from proteins in dog dander or saliva. GWR have a unique curly coat that sheds only minimally and they tend to produce fewer allergens than other breeds! While many doodles often sport a hypoallergenic title, there is no guarantee that they will be hypoallergenic—and many end up producing just as many allergens as any other breed.

They are incredibly intelligent! As retrievers, these dogs are known for their drive to work. However, they are also incredibly versatile and eager to please and have been taught everything from circus tricks to personal protection! These additional talents prove that the GWR is more intelligent than golden or Labrador retrievers—and therefore more intelligent than their golden or labradoodle offspring.

They make great family dogs! Speaking of labs and goldens, it is relatively common knowledge that retrievers can make excellent family pets. German Water Retrievers are specifically bred to have a stable temperament, which means when you add a GWR to your family you can be sure that you are getting a quality bred dog who will suit your family perfectly. Their athleticism means they’re ready to keep up with kids or join you for any adventure, while their stable temperament give them an off switch for relaxation time.

Their coat! While doodle coats tend to vary drastically from dense and curly to fine and fluffy, GWR always have a dense, curly coat that grows continuously. This coat can be worn in any style! Love the fluffy faced look of doodles? You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between a GWR and a doodle! Looking for something easy to maintain? Shave them short: no brushing needed! Want to test your creativity? Have fun with funky hairdos and dyed fur! This breed is among the most popular for creative grooming!

They come with health guarantees! Some doodles do, some don’t. GWR breeders health test generations back and breed only the healthiest dogs. The test results are displayed online in the OFA database for prospective puppy purchasers to confirm for themselves!

They come in many different colors! While they don’t come in merle like an aussiedoodle could, they come in everything from white to red to brown to black and so many shades in between! There are also some color patterns they can come in as well, such as phantom, silver, or parti if registered under the United Kennel Club!

Honestly, it’s been a while since they’ve been excited — your characteristics of strength and incredible features of a werewolf make their ego strike higher than it should be. They absolutely love your hybrid features, the tails & ears, the enhanced senses, and the obvious need for constant attention is what they love you more.

Price and the others enjoy it when you listen to their commands, which at times they love to joke around with.

If and when you decide to transform into your ‘full form’, even in the field, all of them coo over you, especially Johnny. You can never be left alone, even at night. Price and Soap really enjoy it when they get to play with your fur and ears. It feels like literal heaven between their fingers.

And let’s not forget about how all of them call you dog-based names. A lot of good boys, even pups, or puppy if they’re in a teasing mood. Bad boy is for certain occasions.

All of them have their own ways of showing affection, which, most of them, are fairly touchy, especially if the timetables are closer to a full-moon, or you’ve recently turned.

Soap literally treats you like a dog. Every chance he has, he’s rubbing your stomach, ears getting smooched on, jokingly pulling your tail, and praising you like no other. Chin scratches, and his thick accent turns into a scratchy baby voice when talking to you.

As for Ghost, he loves playing fetch with you — easily throwing it long, watching you jump at it, before returning it. His voice commands you to sit and calls you a good boy when you listen. The type of guy also aggressively rubs your snout as a way of affection.

As for Price, he enjoys having you rest in his office, either on the dog bed he specifically bought for you or under his desk, looking at you every now and again with loving eyes.

Gaz finds it cute, but also suffocating as you sit on his lap; not realizing you’re too large for him. He’s gently laughing, patting your back at your large weight, it’s comforting. But also he can’t breathe.

To be honest, they fucking love it on how protective you are of them. Seeing you grunt, eyes narrowing in annoyance, makes them chuckle.

Chin scratches galore. No matter what, if you’re in your full form or not, they love to scratch your chin.

They always get surprised on seeing how close you are to other dogs, especially to larger breeds. Price chuckles whenever a dog randomly runs up as the two of you are jogging, immediately latching itself to you and not leaving your side.

It’s not something you see every day that you find dead animals as a gift, and most would see it as disgusting, but to them, it’s a gift. Even though Gaz has gagged on multiple occasions when he sees the dead birds, he knows it's your way of affection.

after that encounter with a certain swiss player, you couldn’t help but find yourself thinking at her. maybe, it was the way you felt her trace your face, you had felt it as you were slowly waking up.

you had just finished training, a certain brit swung their arms over your shoulder as you walked back to the locker room.

“any plans, n/n?” niamh asked, as jessie fleming hummed—after you had met the chelsea duo, they had adopted you into their duo, making it a trio.

“i was planning on getting a puppy, my apartment is a bit quiet.” you replied, as niamh hummed at your words.

“what breed?” jessie asked, as niamh dropped her arm from your shoulder to her side. the three of you had just entered the locker room, proceeding to your own locker.

“a golden.” you gave her a small smile, before heading to the showers, the towel was over your shoulder, as you held the two bottles, shampoo and conditioner.

after you finished showering, you wore a black turtleneck, with black plaid pants. bidding goodbye to jessie and niamh who gave you a small smile, you rushed to your car—not wanting to be late to meet the puppy.

you named her, hestia after the greek goddess of the hearth, home and fire. frankly, you thought she was an underrated goddess and fought strongly that she is still the 12th olympian.

hestia had already gotten her shots that were needed, the anti rabies vaccine and others. you already prepped the bowls, dog food, and toys.

you strolled through the park, the grey leash was already with its collar, as hestia kept pulling you somewhere—the leash ended up slipping from your grasp, as she ran forward.

your eyes widened as you chased after her, she didn’t go to far—as she sat, behind her ears were getting scratched.

“are you lost?” the familiar voice asked, as she analyzed the dog tag.

“hestia, i wonder who named you.” you cleared your throat as the brunette looked up to you, her face flushing as she realized it was you.

“i’m sorry if she disturbed you. the leash had slipped.” you explained, as lia hummed at your actions. she held out the leash, as you grabbed it, wrapping it a few times around a finger.

“she didn’t, don’t worry. so, why hestia?” lia asked, as she stood up—looking into your eyes, to which you avoided looking at the sky. if you didn’t do that, you would’ve seen how she blushed, how her eyes landed on your physique, and how she loved how the turtle neck suited you.

“i named her after my favorite greek goddess, hestia who is the goddess of hearth.” you said, before picking up the puppy. she cuddled into your arms, as you chuckled at the hestia’s behavior.

you didn’t know it but that was the start of something great. you two had spent the day talking about random things, mainly about life outside of football.

as you rested your head against the headboard, you felt your phone vibrate as it was held in your hands—quickly looking at the screen, you saw an instagram notification.

a soft yet wide smile appeared, as you hummed. it took you a while to follow back, locking your phone as you turned to fall asleep.

*cracks knuckles* alright motherfuckers let's do this Top 5 Dog Breeds 5. Australian Shepherd. This is not a dog *I* would want to own, but they're super underrated, just as smart as Border Collies and just as energetic but with a cheerful energy instead of a "Finnish Soldier on Meth" one. Plus the lil butt. 4. Boxer. These dogs are pretty much just a bundle of Weird Dog Disorders and they aren't brilliant but they're SO fukken goofy and I love it. Boxers love a good time. 3. French Bulldog. I liked these before they were trendy, okay, but even though I love their lil ears and their bug eyes and the way they wail when they throw a tantrum, I probably wouldn't own one-- the breeding practices are cruel especially now that they're popular. Still, adorable little bug-eyed divas. 2. Any hound breed, honestly, but Coon Hounds. YOOOOOOOOOOH! YOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!! Obvious choice, Velvet House Hippos are sweet, smart, loyal, cuddly, and loving. They're genuinely delighted to see you. They smile all the time. They've still got a good dose of derpiness and goofosity going on, too. I would totally own another Pibble, or five, or ten. Top 5 Final Fantasy Characters 5. Golbez/Theodore Harvey. Were you unsatisfied with how twinky and emo and pale the protagonist of Final Fantasy IV was? Meet his Better In Every Way older brother. 4. Tossup between Sephiroth and Zack Fair. Both of them were trying so hard to do the right thing, following orders, supporting and protecting their friends, and they were both done so dirty by Shinra. Also Sephiroth has schizophrenia. 3. Delita Heiral. Not a villain, not even the antagonist. Just a dead man walking, so focused on endgame that he doesn't care about all the blood he's wading through to get to it. 2. Isilud Tengille. The boy, the myth, the legend. Indoor Grasshopper, indoctrinated church kid, chapter three miniboss, he's in three scenes and there's a fantastic sprite animation of his dad slapping him across the face so hard that he falls to his knees. Delicious. 1. KAIN MOTHERFUCKING HIGHWIND. No FF character is more iconic, none more emo, none more perfect. Just his silhouette, the shape of his helmet, the spear, THOSE LEGS are instantly recognizable. He's on your side and then he's not but now he is and now he's not again just kidding now he is haha kidding again he's not now. At the end of FF4 he takes off his helmet and WHOOPS HE'S A TOTAL HOTTIE. His unrequited love for his best friend's girlfriend is so powerful that he breaks into two people so one of them can kidnap the girl and the other can fuck his best friend's son. In later adaptations, he's given an ovary-exploding sexy baritone voice by Liam O'brien. Don't let anyone tell you Kain is toxic or weird or creepy or inferior to whatever FFXIV character that is blatantly ripping him off: Kain Highwind is THE Final Fantasy character, period. Jin - Greyhound

Kind of insanely proportioned but attractive. Capable of physical feats, but honestly kind of would like to lie around all day. Strong pedigree, well-respected but a little underrated, sensitive nature, very intelligent

25. Pluto THE Disney dog! Unfairly discriminated against by his peers of core disney cast!

24. Boris the borzoi- Lady and the Tramp He’s a borzoi! Where else are you gonna find an animated borzoi?!

23. Colonel- One Hundred and One Dalmatians Did you know in the sequel book Sgt Tibbs (or his book equivalent cat) is declared an “honorary dog” by Sirius the Dog Star? So you can count him as tied for this place

22. Peg- The Lady and the Tramp A design with SO MUCH personality.

21. Little Brother- Mulan He’s just so DIFFERENT looking from all these other dogs. I suspect that--like the horses in this movie-- he’s based off a particular art style and that’s why he doesn’t quite fit with anything else even within his own movie.

20. Perdita- One Hundred and One Dalmatians I was going to give you her Disney Wiki picture and say something about she’s the closest thing Disney has to a 50s housewife, but instead have this super ominous Perdita statue to rule over you. Bow to your Supreme Leader Perdita, for she is housewife no longer!

19. Toby- The Great Mouse Detective The quintessential Good Boy

18. Francis- Oliver and Company He’s Shakespearean and we love that.

17. Napoleon and Lafayette- The Aristocats I ranked them separately. Scored them differently in various categories. And they came out to exactly the same score. Inseparable. A dynamic duo. Batman and Robin who? These are the real crimefighters.

16. Goofy Is Goofy identifiable as a dog if you aren’t told that he is one? I don’t know about that. But he’s GOOFY.

15. Pongo- One Hundred and One Dalmatians Okay I promise this is the last 101 Dalmatians character.

14. Max- The Little Mermaid He’s what we call the breeder’s standard.

13. Chief- The Fox and the Hound Am I trying to convince you to overlook certain aspects of Chief by choosing this particular picture? Who can say.

12. Roscoe and DeSoto- Oliver and Company I love a good villain. And Dobermans.

11. Tito-Oliver and Company Played and drawn with every bit of manic energy that a chihuahua needs

11. (Tie) Georgette- Oliver and Company “Perfect Isn’t Easy” was doing “Fabulous” long before Sharpay Evans.

10. Jock- Lady and the Tramp A dog who suffers no fools

9. Bolt- Bolt His biggest flaw is that John Travolta was NOT a good casting choice. Other than that he’s adorable.

8. Nana- Peter Pan This movie may be problematic but Nana certainly isn’t.

7. Rita- Oliver and Company This dog is wearing eye shadow. And also “Streets of Gold” is criminally underrated.

6. Lady- Lady and the Tramp I don’t really have much to say. She’s cute. It’s a good design. She’s a good character.

5. Trusty- Lady and the Tramp Look at that action shot. His hero moment.

4. Tramp- Lady and the Tramp I originally had Tramp 7th and Rita 4th... did I make a mistake switching them? Tramp doesn’t sing. Tramp isn’t wearing eye shadow. But Rita doesn’t have a song about her either...

3. Stitch- Lilo and Stitch He used to be a collie before he got ran over

2. Copper- The Fox and the Hound “When you’re the best of friends *muffled sobbing* having so much fun together *louder sobbing*”

1. Dodger- Oliver and Company He sings the best Disney song. He’s voiced by Billy Joel. He’s got a celebrity endorsement: Chris Evans named his dog after Dodger. Easily the best Disney dog.

“But Cogentranting” you say, “ you put two dogs each for number 11 and number 17, that means there are fifty-TWO dogs on this list. The title’s a lie” and I say WRONG SIr. Clearly number 3 and number 46 (Stitch and Obby) are NOT dogs at all. So there are Fifty! And you say, “okay but there are multiple dogs for both 50 and 49.” I have no answer for this. I hang my head and shame and bid you adieu.

What about proud family? Both the new and the old one

This show was fun. It had penny down to earth trying to find her place in the world. Her friends were about as loyal as most middle schoolers/high schoolers were. As in it depended on the situation. You routed for penny. The family was great, and it was always good to know that Penny's family had her back when times got tough.

Wizard kelly was great. Papi was amazing

Suga mama was the best.

This show tackled issues boldly and was not afraid to go there.

Now lets talk about the new one

This breaks my heart.

I tried watching this show. I wanted to like it. It had the original creators involved. But... magic's gone.

Penny in this version is just... unlikable. I find her annoying in this version. Like before it was penny's friends that were sometimes awful and she would have them learn and forgive them. Like even penny at her worst always had some sort of reason for acting the way she did even when she was wrong, you didnt fault her too much, but enough to know she was wrong. But here... Penny is just a special breed of dumb and arrogant. The new characters are nothing good or bad. I am indifferent. I could see the show trying so hard to be its old self and trying to be modern, but by trying to be more modern it dated itself.

The original show was more timeless and had tact. This was louder and prouder... but maybe that was the problem, it was too loud and proud that subtly was gone. Also it relied on the viewer knowing things from the previous show, which if it was the same penny she shouldnt be making these mistakes but also she is 14 now instead of 16 like she was at the proud family movie... yea try not to think about that too much.

I wanted to see bits of the old show in here and its why I dont rate it lower, but I know it’s probably lower than what I’m rating it. And it breaks my heart.

what are the strengths and weaknesses of kenji and niji comparative to each other? (ex. who is faster, is one of them bulkier while the other is more serpent-like?)

what traits about reader stands out to satoru, since it's clear he adores her more than the rest?

how common/rare is owning a dragon?

does the size of a dragon correlate to how powerful they are? (im imagining a small dragon the size of a chihuahua absolutely rocking someone's shit lmao)

i think maybe i've touched on one or two of these before but i'm always happy to revisit/elaborate!!! edit: this got kinda long so i'm answering the questions under the cut haha

bonds between riders & dragons happen instantaneously the first time a dragon and writer meet, when the rider is about 10 and the dragon is just a hatchling. the bond is instant and permanent, but trust and respect still have to be built between the dragon and rider over time (like satoru told reader, the most crucial time is the first week after the bond, and riders generally don't spend any time apart from their dragon during that first week).

clashing personalities between dragons and riders are very rare, and generally only happen when the bond is formed but not supported or nurtured in any way (like, if a rider were to do less than the bare minimum to care for their dragon, or were to treat them too harshly and expect total submission without any respect in return). though most dragons & rider pairs have similar/matching personalities because of growing up together and being shaped by each other, there are a few exceptions in Noble Blood (we just haven't gotten to them yet)!

kenji & niji have essentially the same body shape/type, but between them, kenji is faster, but niji is stronger and has more stamina. much like their riders, kenji is a bit more mischievous and impulsive, while niji is a bit more stoic and calculating (though he can get a bit smug when he beats kenji in a play fight and puts him in his place). in most other aspects they are pretty equally matched.

he loves how kind reader is, and how smart. not to say that any of his other friends are stupid, because they're not, but reader has a higher emotional intelligence than the others, which he finds appealing. that, paired with reader's willingness to go along with his antics more often than not, are the biggest reasons satoru has a crush on our dear reader. unsurprisingly, these are traits that suguru has, as well.

owning a dragon is definitely the norm, and there are very few recorded instances of people who never bond with a dragon in their lives. sometimes lose their dragons to accidents or illness when they're still kids, but the vast majority of people grow up and grow old with their dragons. the only character that will show up in Noble Blood in an capacity that may not have a dragon is toji, though i haven't decided one way or the other yet.

size does have some correlation with a dragon's physical abilities, yeah, kinda like dog breeds! bigger dragons are generally stronger but not as fast, smaller dragons are generally faster but not as strong. obviously there are exceptions, and whatever power a dragon does or does not have, and whether or not they can fly also plays a huge role in what a dragon of any size is capable of. so honestly your mental image of a chihuahua-sized dragon laying the smackdown on someone is not impossible! lmao
