Instagram Conspiracy is a silly one that's pretty fun, basically the drama club try to figure out who ejs dating from his various vague instagram posts, all without noticing the most obvious answer hehe it's a lot of fun with misunderstandings and obliviousness which kind of reminds me of 'maybe a family is you, your boyfriend and the partners you find out about along the way'

However, Previously Engaged is definitely a favourite of mine. It started as me wanting to write one particular scene but spiralled from there fjfj it's a fic of me asking the question of how many times ej and ricky can pretend to date to get free stuff/get out of things and then taking a reeeeally long time to answer

I have had some trouble with the timeline for this fic as it grew into something a lot longer than I'm used to, but I'm finally figuring it out and settling on them both being aged up to their 20s and then having it take place over a couple of years, it has a very fun ending that wouldn't work if these idiots weren't absolute morons <3

excerpt:

Ricky's eyes widened and EJ smiled, noticing other people beginning starting to pay attention. "Remember when we first met, back when we were kids?"

"I hated you," Ricky laughed, his voice already sounding like he was close to tears, just like they did in the romcoms EJ knew he liked.  

EJ carried on from Ricky, "Yeah, but then I let you use my stupid toy firetruck and we became inseparable."

"I don't remember that."

"I do." EJ smiled up at Ricky, "It was my favorite." 

Ricky laughed and then sniffed, and EJ kind of got why Miss Jenn saw such potential in him.

EJ got the ring out of his pocket, and everyone else in the restaurant was now fully turned to them, pointing and muttering excitedly. "I want to share the rest of my life with you."

He opened the ring box and took a deep breath, "Ricky Bowen, will you do me the absolute honor, and marry me?"

The rest of the tables in the restaurant seem to be holding their breath and EJ basked in it. They drew it out for a moment, building suspense until Ricky laughed, sounding overjoyed. "Yes!"

EJ jumped up and put the ring on Ricky's finger before sweeping him into a hug while applause rang out from around the restaurant. It felt pretty similar to what the curtain call felt like. He sort of wanted to bow, if that wouldn't give them up.

this is long I know but I love this fic so much it's so funny and sweet and I spend too long rereading it instead of writing it aha

Blair is awake, but she definitely doesn’t want to open her eyes yet, she’s too comfortable. Someone is curled up around her back, his arm over her waist, warm and steady and comforting, though she’s not positive who it is. Dan maybe? It feels like him, though how she knows that she can’t say. She should have the boys blindfold her sometime—now there’s an idea. 

In any case, she’s warm, and safe, and sleepy, and therefore wholly uninterested in the business of getting up.

“Goooood morning, Brooklyn!” Well, that voice does sound an awful lot like Nate. 

Blair feels the someone holding her groan into her shoulder. “Oh, fuck off.” Yep, definitely Dan. 

She pulls out of Dan’s hold to sit up, blinking her eyes open just in time to see Nate stride into their bedroom, a cardboard drinks carrier in his hand and a self-satisfied grin on his face. 

“What the hell are you doing?” she asks mildly, smiling in spite of herself. To be fair, Nate didn’t wake her up. 

Nate gestures to the carrier in his hand with a flourish. “I am providing. The hunter,” he points to himself, “has returned with caffeine.” 

She rolls her eyes fondly, but sits up fully, petting a hand through Dan’s hair at his noise of protest. 

Nate sets the carrier on the dresser—his and Dan’s, specifically—plucks up two of the cups and walks over to the bed. 

“Almond cap,” he extends one hand to Blair. “Bone dry.”

She takes the drink, and smiles into the Good Morning kiss he gives her with it. “Thank you.”

Nate smiles, the lines around his blue eyes crinkling, then turns, shaking Dan by the shoulder with his newly freed hand. “Rise and shine, baby.”

Dan groans a refusal into the pillow. “No rising. No shining.”

Nate and Blair exchange a look, and then Nate rounds the bed, climbing in on the other side, and then Blair has to make room when Nate decides to plant himself between her and Dan. He’s lucky nothing spilled. 

“C’mon, sweetheart,” Nate tries again, scratching between Dan’s shoulder blades. “Wake up and smell the flowers, or whatever.”

Dan rolls on to his other side, turning his back on them. “Hate flowers,” he grumbles. “Make you sneeze.” 

“Nate brought coffee,” Blair singsongs. 

Dan hums, more hopeful than dismissive. 

“I did,” Nate confirms playfully, reaching down to play with Dan’s hair. “I got you one of those crazy octuple espressos, and I put it on the dresser, so sleepyhead has to get up and out of bed to get it.” 

Blair looks at him in surprise. “Then what’s that in your hand?”

“Pumpkin spice latte,” he answers, winking as he takes a sip.

Dan makes a disgruntled noise. “You’re the worst.”

“Hey,” Nate pouts, twirling one of Dan’s curls around his finger, “I thought Blair was the mean one.” 

Blair takes a sip of her cappuccino, unbothered. “Oh no, darling, Dan has dibs on the morning shift.” 

Nate laughs, head tipping back. 

“I hate you both,” Dan mutters.

“No you don’t,” they both say confidently.

Dan flips back over, grumbling something unintelligible, nuzzling closer until his head is on Nate’s lap and his hand is splayed over Blair’s thigh, completely proving them right.

satoru considers himself to be rational. even though he can be loud, excessive, dramatic, he has always been rational. most people don’t know or understand all the detailed thought he puts behind every decision he makes. all because of his rationality.

sure, sometimes he can be a little reckless, but not in a way that is irrational. he’s reckless in childish ways, ways that make him seem obnoxious and yet frustratingly endearing.

but he’s not reckless like this. not irrational like this.

satoru’s not reckless so he knows it can’t be possible that you’re here, in his bed, naked skin just barely covered by his sheets. he knows it can’t be possible that you’re here first thing in the morning because there’s no way you went to bed with him the previous night. he knows, for sure, that he couldn’t have crossed all the lines he set with you for years in just a matter of minutes.

but the purpled bruises littering your skin, the scattered clothing across his bedroom floor, and the warmth of your bare body pressing against him tells him enough.

he’s speechless for a second, mind going haywire as he tries to remember what exactly happened and how he could’ve been so careless. years and years of friendship with you, all changed in a matter of one night.

you were always supposed to be one of his closest friends. sure, he would pay any price to see you smile and sure, he’d gladly take your side over anyone else’s.

but no where in his plans did he ever think to cross this line. after so many moons of pushing back his less than appropriate thoughts. after wondering how good your lips would taste as you sweetly whispered his name. after all of that, he didn’t think his self control would dissipate like this.

there’s a brief memory of the previous night, tipsy words of confession and sloppy passionate kisses, that sends his mind reeling.

he’s pulling himself out of bed in an instant, slipping his clothes on and hoping they somehow manage to ground him because god, it feels like his head is floating.

he’s choosing to ignore how fantastic his heart feels to see you curled up in his bed like that, hair splayed across his pillows like you’ve always belonged there.

instead satoru steps into his kitchen, snowy bangs resting across his forehead as he tries to figure out what he’s going to say to you when you wake up. honestly he’s a little worried himself. how would you react? would you tell him you made a mistake or would you be angry at him for letting it happen?

truthfully he’s never cared much about other people’s feelings, but yours somehow have the power to impact his whole day.

he figures that he can live with it, if you think it was a mistake. he’d be pathetically heartbroken, he realizes, but your comfort matters most to him. and if all he was destined for in this life was your friendship, he’d never do anything to jeopardize it. it’d be enough for him.

satoru doesn’t even realize he’s made two cups of coffee instead of one.

he steels himself, watching his murky reflection ripple in the mugs, and knowing that he would respect your wishes no matter how much it bothers him. he won’t say anything, because he'd rather silently live with his own idiotic feelings than risk losing you for good.

“morning.”

he almost jumps, unusually startled because only you could catch the man who saw the world through the Six Eyes off guard. any plans he’s made on what to say or how to say it fly straight out the door when he turns to look at you, his throat going dry as he takes you in.

you hair is mussed and your expression is still dazed, a sleepy pout on your face as you rub at your eyes. you blink at him slowly, an inquisitive little expression on your face as you pad over to him and peer at the stove. “you making food?”

he nods wordlessly, still a little breathless because gods above you’re wearing his shirt like it’s yours and his brain is in overdrive. it’s so hard to think, to even breathe, because satoru has wanted this for so long and it’s finally here like it had always been here in the first place. like it’s normal, regular.

“can i have some too, ‘toru? i’m really hungry.”

he has to take a minute to bask in the intimacy of this moment because it’s honestly making his thoughts stutter. “u-uh yeah, ‘course you can.” he’s handing you one of the mugs before he can even comprehend it, and you take it from him gratefully.

he feels oddly parched as he watches you take a sip, looking at him with dewy eyes over the rim, and he waits with bated breath as you open your mouth to speak. “did you sleep okay last night?”

it’s such an innocent question and he’s almost completely sure he shouldn’t be overthinking it like a fool but he knows it in his soul that he’s nothing if not a fool for you. you make every rational thought evaporate from his normally over calculating brain, make his body react without a touch, make his mouth move faster than his thoughts can.

and this time is no different.

“fuck i’m so in love with you.”

you blink up at him, and he’s cursing himself for even opening his mouth, but then you’re grinning up at him like he’s said the most endearing thing ever. “well i should hope so. i’d be pretty bummed if you told me you loved me last night and then woke up and changed your mind.”

satoru’s breath hitches, and he briefly wonders when and how he managed to confess his love for you the previous night, but then he realizes he doesn’t care all that much because you’re smiling at him like he puts the stars in your sky.

which for you, he absolutely would do.

so he does the only thing he feels is right for the moment. he bends down to press a chaste kiss to your lips, heartbeat unusually erratic as he feels you melt into him, before pulling back and giving you a cheeky smile. “i’m not even close to done loving you.”

But he wasn’t really looking for anything but a good laugh

You hang out with Fionna and Cake a lot, both of them are very protective of you

The three of you and sometimes BMO have a lil girls night out

On this particular night, you went to the dark forest bc Marshall Lee was having a concert and Fionna really wanted to go

Not so much to hear Marshall Lee, but bc flame prince would be there lol

Anyways, you immediately caught Marshall’s eye as he stood on stage

Both Fionna and Cake had branched off, leaving you alone in the crowd

Your eyes glued to your feet, not even daring to look up at Marshall’s performance as you fiddled nervously with your sleeves

When he finally had a break from the stage, he soundlessly floated up besides you

I kid you not, you almost bleated when you turned around to find the vampire king right besides you as you turned your head

You jumped, scrambled to get away as your lower lip quivered, white ears flattened to your head

“Woah, woah. Calm down there, sweetheart,” Marshall laughed, holding up his hands in mock surrender

You quickly realized that he didn’t intend to harm you and somewhat calmed down, still slightly worried as he flashed his shiny white fangs to you

Your brows furrowed, fists clenching your dress as you fought to keep back the angry tears

“I-I am calm! Have you not heard that it’s rude to go around scaring people like that?” You huffed, sending him the most intimidating glare you could muster which to Marshall Lee looked more like a scared bunny

He smiled wider. “Well, I’m not exactly known for being nice,” He said, voice slightly deepening

You felt threatened, he looked at you like a predator looked at it’s prey and you finally understood why Cake was always bad-mouthing him

“I only hang out with nice people, sorry.” You muttered, turning away from him just to get a break from his all-consuming stare

He laughed again, clearly finding your reacting to be the most hilarious thing he had heard in a long time

You jumped again when you felt his hand creepy up the back of your neck, lips ghosting over your pulse point

Your breath caught in your throat, tears springing to your eyes again at the thought of being bitten. “P-please don’t bite me! Fionna will get m-mad!” You hiccuped, twisting the fabric of your dress even more until it was wrinkled and warm.

He blew on your neck and you felt him pout. “Fionna, huh?”

He pushed himself away from you a bit, finally getting himself out of your close personal space as he floated around you to face you again

“Aw, baby. Don’t cry,” he grinned when he saw your flushed cheek and quivering lips. “I just wanted to have a bit of fun, can you blame me?”

You shook your head defiantly as an answer, making him laugh again. “I promise I won’t bite you, little lady. On one condition,” he said, placing a large hand on your head

You mentally slapped yourself for the way you wanted to lean into his hand, ears twitching ever so slightly as his cold hand touched them

You wrinkled your nose. “On what condition?”

“Sing the next song on stage with me.”

Your eyes widened comically. “No way! I- I don’t even know how to sing! And I don’t know any of your songs,”

Marshall pouted, dramatically holding a hand over his non-beating heart. “And here I thought you were enjoying my show! I’m hurt!” Then he winked at you. “But don’t worry, all you have to do is follow my lead.” And before you knew it, he had an arm around your neck waist and legs as he hoisted you up in his arms

He carried you to the stage, floating above the crowd as you clutched him tightly in fear of falling

He sat you gently down on stage, grabbing his axe-bass and the crown immediately erupted in cheers

You were frozen in fear, face caught in between an angry flush and hysteric cries as you stood before the crowd

You already hated standing down before the scene, with all the people pushing and shoving it quickly overwhelmed you

But standing in front of at least a hundred candy kingdom citizens and a bunch of princes topped the chart of things you hated

You desperately pulled your cardigan around you, attempting to hide as your tail twitched and your ears once again laid themselves flat against your hair

“Follow my lead,” you choked on a gasp when Marshall was suddenly besides you again, whispering in your ear with that deep voice of his

“Good little girl, always picking a fight with me, you know that I’m bad” Marshall hummed, hands leaving his bass for a moment to gently sway your hips

You turned at least ten shades redder, burning up as he made you sway sultrily in front of the mesmerized crowd.

Well, luckily he had picked a song you actually knew.

“But your spending the night with me. What do you want from my world? You’re good little girl,” his hands left you to play his bass again, you gently swayed your hips to the rhythm

You looked intently at Marshall, figuring it was better to look at the troublemaker himself than the large crowd

He made a motion with his head, signaling you to start singing

“Uh-“ you started, inhaling deeply to not stumble over the words. “B-Bad little boy, that’s what you’re acting like, I really don’t buy,” you had to yet again stop yourself from bleating again, taking quick breaths as your hands shook

“That you’re t-that kind of guy-y,” you closed your eyes tightly, hating the way you could help hiccuping up the words. “And if you are, why do you want to hang out with me?”

Suddenly Marshall was by your ear again, chuckling darkly. “You did so well, little lady.” He murmured, before floating away from you a bit to continue the show

“Hey! Isn’t that Y/n?” You breathed out heavily in relief upon hearing Fionna’s voice.

“Come here, sugar,” suddenly Cake enveloped you and you welcomed her happily, snuggling yourself into her warm fur

She stretched, setting you down on the ground besides Fionna before taking your place on stage, cutting Marshall Lee’s verse short as she started singing about hot tomatoes and good sauces

“Hey, are you okay, Y/n? You look pretty jacked up,” Fionna said, pulling you to her side

“Marshall Lee told me to sing with him or he would bite me,” you mumbled bitterly, leaning onto Fionna’s shoulders

She clenched her teeth, face flushing angrily. “That son of a blee-blob!” She hissed. “I’ll kick his buns,”

You smiled slightly. “I told him you would get mad if he bit me,”

“Of course I would! What a butt-guy..”

When the concert ended Fionna was quick to find Marshall and give him a piece of her mind, however the vampire king only laughed her off, telling her that next time he would you wouldn’t be so lucky

Both Fionna and Cake insisted you slept at the treehouse that night and you happily agreed

Of course, it didn’t take Marshall long to seek you out again

He honestly doesn’t have that much going on, a bored guy needs entertainment

“Well, well, well! If it isn’t my favorite little lamb,” Marshall grinned, suddenly appearing in a tree as you were walking home from one of Tree Trunk’s apple pie dinners

This time you pretended not to jump, huffing as you held your head high, refusing to look at him

“I-if it isn’t my least favorite vampire king,” you said, half of your words coming out as a whisper. You mentally slapped yourself, if you were going to give him a comeback you you at least sound like you weren’t absolutely shaking in your boots

“Now that really hurt!” Marshall pouted as he spoke, coming down from the tree to walk besides you “you smell like apple pie,” he noted, sniffing the air

You wrung your hands nervously. “Tree Trunks made me apple pie,” you muttered, still refusing to directly look at the vampire

He cackled. “Jeez. That must have been so boring,”

You frowned, even though your face was turned the other way Marshall Lee noticed, filled with glee. “Tree Trunks is really nice! And his apple pie is amazing,” you huffed, defending your dear friend

“Tree Trunk’s is bunk, dude. Let’s go somewhere,” He grabbed your shoulders and spun you around to finally face him. “Come with me to this undead party, it’s rad. I know you want to,”

You finally had enough, angry heat flooding your face. “L-Leave me alone! And stop acting like such a mr. cool-guy you.. you! Ding-wad!”

To your utter surprise, your little outburst just made Marshall laugh loudly. “I’m a ding-wad, huh? Alright, alright. Give me a chance to show you something cool and I bet you won’t think I’m a ding-wad after,” he grinned, cocking his head like a puppy

You took a moment to regain yourself, noticing he was being somewhat sincere. The goodness in your heart won and you shyly looked at your feet. “A-alright. But no funny tricks,” you mumbled.

“You got it, sweetheart!” He said as he lifted you bridal-style, taking off into the air.

To your utter surprise, you ended up having a good time with Marshall Lee.

He took you to a party in a graveyard, ghosts was actually a lot more chill than most living ppl and you actually managed to socialize

When you got tired and socially exhausted all you had to do was gently tuck on Marshall’s sleeve and he happily flew you home

To his house, I mean. You protested at first, as you didn’t know him that well and it seemed like a pretty bad idea to sleep over at a blood-thirsty vampires house

But all your sleepy protests died down as he tucked you into his bed, gently wrapping you in the sheets and quietly humming as you drifted off to sleep.

As he watched you sleep, ears twitching and cheeks puffed out, he realize that what started as a joke had turned real pretty fast

He felt an overwhelming urge to protect you, not that he would stop mercilessly teasing you, but he quickly discarded the idea that you were just a new plaything

He was also pretty sure Fionna would actually skin him alive (or dead I suppose) if he upset you

When you hung out at the tree house the next day and told them about how you slept over at Marshall’s she was already pretty read to beat his guts

Slowly, and I mean slowly, bc Marshall is a huge tease and you couldn’t stand looking at him for more than 5 minutes without getting so embarrassed you could melt, the two of you eventually started dating

Rest assured, Fionna and Cake both threatened him on multiple occasions, making sure he was on his best behavior

Even Prince Gumball had a few choice words with him lol

Everyone is was extremely worried lmfao (with good reason)

Marshall can be sweet tho, he actually is sometimes

Especially in public, since he knows you get overwhelmed super quickly

All you have to do is look at him with those doe-eyes of yours and he gets the message immediately

Doesn’t matter if you’re in the middle of a fancy dinner in a castle or if he’s playing a concert, he will get you to a place with less people immediately

He really does love you lol

omg bc both of you are so emotionally constipated- like you’re too shy to express your feelings and Marshall has just been taught to believe that expressing feelings is a taboo

I'm finishing up the last of requests that I've received, and first up, RASTAPOPOULOS aaaand DR MULLER!! ik in a fight between the two, Muller would probably be the one to win, but then I remember flight 714 and then I looked at the pose reference, and I realized rastapopoulos is much much more girly pop, and in his word, is "badder", and hence, this drawing.

He gently laid his head onto your thighs, his ginger locks tickling the bare skin. You were only wearing shorts, after all, comfort mattered the most when you were in your apartment.

You let out a soft giggle while the ticklish sensation sent a spark of surprise down your spine. You lovingly looked at him. He was so handsome. Handsome was an understatement. He was the hottest man you had ever seen.

You could not resist but you knew that your examinations were more important. You gave him a few light headpats before continuing to do your math worksheet.

Light clicks from your calculator was all that could be heard alongside the soft blowing sounds from the fan. You had not realised that Childe had fell asleep.

Cuteness overload! His adorable face! And he fell asleep on your thighs?! Too adorable! You lovingly planted a kiss on his forehead after carrying him to your bed.

It was a lot of work for a girl like you, which basically looked micro-sized compared to your handsome boyfriend.

Suddenly, he awoke sleepily from his slumber after you kissed him. He looked at you and gave you a gentle smile.

"Come join me, angel... You can study later...please..."

He pleaded, with his voice still raspy from awaking from his peaceful slumber.

How could you resist his puppy dog eyes begging you to stay with him. Without a second thought, you jumped into his arms, feeling his calloused hands snaking around your waist.

This was definitely a perfect moment between the two of you, although you had not planned for this to happen. Cuddles are still the best after all.

I didnt know u were going to write a full on post on my Baxter request, I'm so touched by the sweet fluff and step 3 & 4 scenarios 😭 I read that Baxter post 5 times it is so good! Im happy that u can relate to my MC, I have so many thots on how I would change certain scenes to fit my MC's journey. (I hope u dont mind me sharing ☺️ I get so happy thinking about it)

Nervous, step 3 crush mode:

The confession scene where Baxter admits he wants to date MC, she is over the moon and flabbergasted he would confess after knowing him for a week--but the mentioning of flings again throws her off and she tells him she doesn't take things like relationships lightly. He apologises and rephrases the question of them dating. My MC, who is usually the one who encourages Cove to do daring and new things and take initiative, doesn't always take her own advice. Surprisingly, she finds herself taking small steps to become closer to this elusive boy she has crushed on in step 2 (he was so ADORABLE in step 2!), realizing that Baxter always gives her the choice to choose what happens next, regardless of what he wants to happen next (all the kisses, hugs, u name it!). It takes a good deal of willpower for my MC to not lose her nerve, but Baxter's warm presence makes her feel safe and strengthens her resolve--but in small steps.

Back to the confession, MC always wants to hold his hand to ground herself before doing something bold and does this before questioning him on certain things like him not going to ask other locals out on flings or asking if he's sure about dating her, quirks and all. After she agreed and he tried to say bid her a good night, MC looked at him, surprised. She was certain he would ask for a kiss, like in the movies. She takes his hand again and smiles softly as she gives him an eskimo kiss, gently pressing her nose to his nose and beaming up at him from that position, willing him to kiss her in their close proximity. How could Baxter say no after that? (Omg so cute, im blushing 🥰🥰🥰)

i didn't expect to make a long post either lol, but i started thinking abt it n then i started thinking abt step 4 and i got totally carried away but i dont regret it at all!!! ty for sending these asks im so happy to write more baxter <3333 also yes i dont mind, i'd love it if yall sent me your lil drabbles n stuff- i swear i'll try not to run away w it n write a lil novel every time😂😂

ooh imagine them on a date, and they've had so much fun on their outing. perhaps they went to a waterpark, and when you take a break from all the rides to get ice cream you tentatively feed him from your spoon.

baxter flushes a bit, but he accepts your bold action and feeds you a scoop of his own.

oh and imagine that every time, or almost every time, you give him a kiss on the cheek as farewell. and like i mentioned in the last post, i like to imagine you sneak into baxter's condo at night and you're laying in his queen bed, chatting and giggling.

maybe it's just because this adds to the ambiance of being up late at night with someone, especially someone you like, but its fun to whisper and shush each other even though theres no one in the house except you two.

and back to the kissing!!! i imagine you forget to kiss baxter after an outing, and before you go into the house baxters stops you and kisses your cheek himself. he quickly runs away into his condo, leaving you flustered on your ownsteps.

little do you know he's sliding down the door, face in hands because "oh my god i kissed them this time...."
