My brothers in order of how much i like them, from most to least:
Blinky (we both LOVE drama, though granted he's more interested in boring old adults. He just watches stuff a lot of the time so he is automatically the least annoying)
2. Nibbly (he's the youngest. He can get a little extra annoying around Honey Festival time but at least it's only once every human year. Other than he really just has baby brother privileges.)
3. Wiggly (he's bossy at the best of times and I will forever be annoyed his stupid doll plan actually worked. But at least he isn't annoying about anyone. Plus he got me Max Jagerman so yay)
4. Pokey (I'm still mad hatchetfield high got affected in his apotheosis. A whole Alien invasion WASTED on The Most Boring Man Alive)
5. Tinky. (HE NEVER SHUTS UP ABOUT TED. GET A DAMN CULT ALREADY DUDE. IT GOT WORSE AFTER HE FOUND OUT TED HAS A LITTLE BROTHER. TINKY I HOPE YOU SEE THIS AND KNOW YOU ARE THE MOST ANNOYING BROTHER EVER

Klaus claimed to be a fraud in front of his cult in season 2 but on hindsight he actually wasn’t. He did have superpowers and though he wasn’t able to levitate, it was his ability that allowed Ben to pull that stunt. He came from the future so he knew future events, which qualified him as The Prophet. He’d met and spoken to God, and visited The Void multiple times. His powers, which involved summoning the dead and giving the dead corporeal form, were pretty god-like. Also, he was immortal.

Rating: Explicit Fandom: Doctor Who & Related Fandoms Relationships: Eleventh Doctor/River Song
Additional Tags: Consensual Non-Consent, Dom/Sub Dynamics, Dom Doctor/Sub River, Kink Negotiation, Character Study, Dual POV, references to River’s past of being in a cult
It’s a really good thing they’re in deep space with no one else on the ship. Anyone in a five-mile radius would probably be crushed flat under the weight of his current level of indignity.
He’s offered a respite (albeit one with a rather sour aftertaste) in the form of River groaning softly in pain as she readjusts her position on the bed. She seems to settle into a relatively bearable arrangement of limbs, gradually rolling herself over to face away from him and nudging herself toward the bed’s center.
Deciding it would be best to let her get some sleep, the Doctor gets up as gingerly as he can and pads toward the door. But before he exits the room, he turns to regard her with a kind of strange and, for the moment, unnamable curiosity.
(Or, River breaks her ankle. They both have some Feelings™ about it.)

Wait....what if they're actually a cult of puppets.... (TW: for mentions of cults and spoilers)
Tumblr media
I found this thread on Twitter and Andrew Allen (one of the writers of the game) said the following
Tumblr media
I'm starting to think the whole "Family thing" may not be like "Oh they're an actual family" but rather a "What if this is a plot line is a more obscure reference to actual cults, and a some sort of tw: for serial life killers"///The Charles Manson cult. Who also referred to each other as family"//
I want to add things that reinforced this point or something that might be related to that theory.
The fact that Mortimer (as far as in the gameplay) is the only true voice and it's always right about stuff. What I mean with this is that I was wondering why the characters never hated Mortimer even tho he pretty much verbally and physically abuse them. Even at the last tape of their storyline (minor spoilers) Riley never said Mortimer was a bad leader but just said that he was becoming unsteady.
Mortimer's changing behavior towards the tapes. I won't give spoilers since I don't want to spoil stuff for everyone. I just realized that Mortimer does kinda have that slow descent into madness and paranoia that cult leaders tend to have as their rule start to become more unsteady and abusive.
This particular chorus + one of Mortimer's sentences in show everyone.
Tumblr media
(old pic that I shared)
"Show everyone" is the official collaboration within the creators of Hello Puppets and Kyle Allen, which also worked like an announcement for the midnight show. I'm starting to wonder if this song was the first clue to the lore.
I also always wondered why they changed the chorus in the last verse after Mortimer sang his verses.
It kinda sounds pretty cult-y to me
Also regarding the whole they're related drama. I personally believed Owen was just setting the dynamic due to using the word "like" which in most connotations is used to referred similarities and is used in similes
Ex: He was as red as a red like/ She was crying like a baby.
Then he uses "Whose/who's" which in writing context and in connotation is establishing a character to be something.
Owen also went to say Daisy was like a mom figure, so that kinda reinforces the idea. So it's something like Daisy is a mom friend, Nick and Riley are rivals who have some sort of sibling dynamic
I am still not going to do any cannon x cannon as nothing as there is still uncertainty with this whole situation. Don't try to twist my words, as I'm just explaining my perspective and I do intend on just keep my focus away from the whole drama and do only Cannon x OC.
Feel free to add things up if you like, and please be respectful

mumbo is an alien (especially s8) and has No Clue how humans work, and he keeps making weird cults and statues because “that’s what Humans do. right? yeah.” also in all the baby mumbo photos have him with a mustache because he’d only seen adult humans so he assumed they were born with them. (they’re all edited stock photos of babies)
I love that so much
Someone please edit a mumbo mustache onto a baby I want to see it

and this posturing is something minth does often, might i add. tough, cruel, unafraid (to act, of enemies, of death), cold - minth is a product of the environment she was raised in; of the cult she was born into. things like kindness, softness and helping others for the sake of helping others do not serve her or anyone following lolth's teachings - in many cases, showing kindness as a child would lead to punishment; something minth would have learnt early on. that, and if she was anything other than the blade she'd been raised to be, she'd have died long ago. minth posturing about how cruel she could be, how unafraid she is is both a lie and a truth. she has the capacity to be awful just as she has the capacity to be soft - but will always pick the former over the latter to protect herself and further her own goals. vulnerability and transparency, over the course of the game at least, is reserved for tav who she trusts - and perhaps a select few other companions.

I'm afraid this will make you uncomfortable, but you're one of the bigger stranger things blogs I see around and I'd like for people to read what I have to say
As someone who escaped an actual doomsday cult I really don't appreciate all the cult jokes in the fandom. I haven't seen you make any so this isn't a meant to call you out or anything, but I'm getting pretty frustrated and needed to talk about it somewhere, preferably somewhere people might see it
A cult-a REAL cult, not the occult-is a group of people who are brainwashed to follow a system which causes everyone in it to perpetuate the smothering of personality within each other for the financial benefit of it's leader(s)
I understand that most cults that people see in media are fictional cults that deal with fictional concepts or are sometimes grounded in reality involving failed connection with the occult. This is why the idea seems funny to people, because the notion seems ridiculous. We see Jason claiming that Eddie is running a cult because he saw occult-ish occurrences and we see that and think he looks ridiculous attributing that to Eddie. And now the fandom thinks the idea of eddie running a cult is just so funny, but can we please stop
Seeing people make jokes about eddie having a cult is very disturbing to me. His character is such an advocate for self expression and individuality. His character feels so safe to me and I hate that people are making jokes about this.
And honestly I can't imagine if Eddie were real, he'd appreciate it either. Not even necessarily for the same reasons, but just because he was unjustifiably accused of running one. I feel like he'd feel icky claiming to run one if only for THOSE reasons, even if he doesn't know how damaging cults are. I understand most don't, making jokes about worshiping any given object or whatever, but cults aren't just a group of people believing in some new mythology
I'd make a post about it on my own account but I don't want to get super personal on there and reveal my tragic backstory there
Tl;dr cults are super damaging and eddie would fucking never. People should, for the love of god, stop making jokes about it
(Sorry if this did make you uncomfortable trauma, but I think it's important. Still, don't feel pressured to answer if it does. Please include cult trigger tags if you answer)
I am fortunate enough to have no personal experience with cults so you don't need to worry, this hasn't made me uncomfortable. I do know enough, second hand, to know that escaping a cult is no easy feat. I'm really happy you were able to get out. I hope you're doing well.
I'm sorry you've had to see these jokes that have disturbed you so much. I'm not surprised that there's people crossing lines, there's some very stupid people running around this fandom. Don't hesitate to block them, even if you usually like their stuff or even if you're friends. Your own comfort should be the priority.
I should say though, if it's in a story context and they're things that the characters would actually say, I would defend that.
But, then again, I can't imagine them making any jokes about Eddie having a cult that isn't so over-the-top and sarcastic that it's clear that the joke is "isn't the idea of Eddie having a cult the stupidest thing you've ever heard?" the joke would be that Jason is an idiot for thinking so.
I don't really know how put content/trigger warnings so if I'm missing the important ones or tagging wrong, please let me know.

//TW: Dark themes, religion mention, cults abuse// I’ve thought about something pretty dark concerning angels. Angels are pure beings in general right? I think sometimes angels have a hard time saying no to helping others even when they could get hurt. Not only that but, what if angels believe in the greater good not matter what?  People can easily take advantage of an angel’s kindness and could probably use them to their own benefit. Imagine a cult leader convincing an angel that their cause is right and angel agrees to help them out. At first is a few community service projects and helping others which makes the angel happy at first. They humbly help out as much as they can. However, as time goes on the cult leader treats the angel as sort of a being to extort their cause. While the angel is upset that the human is doing horrible things they can’t do anything due to them being caught up in a terrible place. The angel is essentially a prisoner in a terrifying doom cult their magic being used by the cult leader. They are rescued by a SWAT team raiding the cult dirty and batter, their wings are in rough shape. They are terrified of humans now due to all of the years of abuse.

Hello Mr. Velseb, who broke you out of prison. No particular reason I'm just a fan like everyone else on this blog and want to know more about you
Signed,

“I WOULD APOLOGISE FOR BEING LATE... but seeing as i have to stage an entire prison break just to get out and see you? i’m sorry. not sorry.” ellie didn’t actually mind, whether she was staging a prison break for wednesday or because she wanted free of the farm for a while. it would be happening regardless, at least this reason seemed... worth it. well, jury was still out on that one but at least wednesday seemed real. there was so much bullshit in her life, she didn’t need more of it. even if for once she didn’t blame her father for being protective, especially considering the stark thing but when he learned to compromise on her leaving the farm. then, she’d learn how to compromise to. fair was fair. “i probably have an hour before the goons show up to take me back. LETS MAKE IT A GOOD HOUR?” @hhalfdoomed

whenever it's like "oh yeah silva's gotta be able to see that what's happening is bad" i sit here and hit the reminder button that the people that taught her how to properly read and write are Flare. the people that taught her about society are Flare. Flare taught her basically EVERYTHING she knows. she didn't have an identity or much more knowledge beyond survival beyond wild child in the woods who might just be a pokemon before she was adopted.
