Just got harrassed by an endo bc. I liked one post of theirs not realising they were pro endo. And they looked through our likes because we didnt realise that they were visible by default and found that we liked one non problematic post by a bad person and so we're evil bc we. We dont go through the profiles of every single person whos posts we like, only those that we want to follow??? Is there some tumblr etiquette we've missed that you need to stalk every person who likes you and every person you like a post ofs profile just to double check they're 'unproblematic'???? I just. Hhhh

I don’t even look through a lot of profiles tbh.

I don’t know etiquette about stalking people to find if they’re problematic or not. If I see something I like, I like it. If I find out they’re problematic, I still have that like but I just… block the blog.

I even do this with endos and proendos, I’m not going to look through every profile. I’m just here for a Quick Look through Tumblr before I do other things. If someone tells me that someone is problematic or is endo/pro endo, okay. Block the blog.

That’s it.

There’s no point of harassing people for something they liked from a blog. There’s also no point in harassing someone for not knowing if someone is problematic or not.

This is mainly why we have our likes hidden. So we can like what we want to and have something saved without people wanting to be like “oh, you’re {rude things here}” like what the fuck?

Ruin basically behaved all the way through getting his brand and barcode tattoo and all the sexual harassment at the auction, up until he was up on stage for auction.

Once on the stage, Ruin promptly began to attack himself and scratch and claw and bite himself to show that he wasn't marketable nor sellable. Going so far that he bit off several of his fingers and threw them at the auctioneer. He basically portrayed himself as so batshit insane that nobody wanted to buy him and Moon was forced to take him home.

From someone who used to be endo neutral and is now anti-endo, yeah no, other anon, it's the opposite. All I know is that endos will harass you much more and absolutely cut themselves off from you if you ever mention that hey, maybe that sounds like misinformation? I don't know why you're saying that.

So I tolerate endo neutrals because I know they just don't want to start a fight. I respect the drive to be able to debate people you fundamentally disagree with.

I’ve seen other asks that talk about this, and it’s actually interesting seeing the other side of it.

Endos just… need to be able to understand that not everyone will agree with them rather than harassing people while equally trying to get them to follow what they believe in.

Hopefully the other neutrals will be able to have some peace of mind with things and be safe while trying to stay on a neutral ground, it can be difficult. And they don’t deserve the harassment either.

"rules for thee but not for me" seems to be the philosophy for folks who claim to be anti-harassment. i used the word weird in negative conotation on a post once i got dogpiled over it to the point where i dissociated and switched out of stress (yes, over calling something weird. i wasn't even talking about discourse). they really do not care about upholding that rule unless it applies to them.

I once had literal swarms of radqueers in my inbox on my last radq account calling me a fake radq for being anti-contact and saying that being pro-contact was how kids/animals got traumatized and hurt

No offense but you chose the weakest examples for Steve and Eddie doing bad things. Like the bottle could be chalked up to self-defense. People usually point to Eddie dealing drugs to minors which yeah. Is kind of more concerning.

Also Steve’s slur was like… treated as a throwaway line in the show. I don’t know why people use Steve being casually homophobic to Jonathan and ableist to Dustin as the worst things he did when also yknow. We get whole scenes about the slutshaming of Nancy, which also literally got her taunted on the street after it happened. Idc how much ppl don’t like Nancy, she isn’t one of my faves but I am not glossing over that as much as I won’t gloss over the photos. And idc how much ppl deflect saying it’s Tommy’s fault bc he carried out the painting, that’s still all because of Steve looking through Nancy’s window and choosing to allow and work with his friends on this intentionally laid out plan every step of the way.

I agree with your post btw none of the ST older teens are saints, it’s just I think people still tend to go a little easy on Steve and Eddie compared to Jonathan and Billy when they focus on the lighter examples from the former and on the worst from the latter.
