Team Hell No - Horror Movie Night

FINALLY got this done! I talked about it so many times and for so long hjfgdkslgjdfsd I felt bad for leaving it as long as I did but much like Touch, this is a one shot, no multiple chapters, just finally another one shot, the title is exactly what it suggests, the lads watch horror movies together!

Also btw uh this is completely different and separate from my BoD AU, I wanna be very clear on that bc uh this fic basically is a ship, just like ‘Touch’ was, so I don’t want any gross confusion

And one final thing, I do NOT support Gl*nn J*c*bs in the slightest, hell for wrestling I write STRICTLY kayfabe, nothing is EVER out of kayfabe in my stories, I’m here for the characters more or less ...and the dude who plays Kane is well, a shitty person unfortunately, I just felt like I need to keep the record set here

“Daniel, come on, you forced me to sit through all those Christmas movies! So now it’s your turn!” Daniel shook his head “No!” Kane sighed, clearly beginning to look irritated “Come on, you promised… And DON’T you even pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about, you promised that if I sat through the Christmas movies with you, you’d watch horror movies with me the next time” Daniel opened his mouth to presumably argue but then he just looked like he was thinking, he repeated opening his mouth as if he got an idea on how to argue but then realized it wouldn’t work before he sighed “...Alright, for once I’ve got no argument and I did PROMISE… So, a promise is a promise …I…I’ll watch the horror movies with you” He seemed a little hesitant but Kane was grinning suddenly, he looked thrilled!

And Daniel wouldn’t deny, seeing Kane that happy made him smile a bit, he was then being dragged by the arm to the couch, he was complaining a little about that but didn’t have much time as Kane then pointed to the selection of movies he laid out on the coffee table “Since you let me pick the Christmas movies, I’ll let you pick out the horror movies you wanna watch” Daniel grinned albeit sheepishly “...Is The Nightmare Before Christmas an option?” Kane sighed and shook his head “N o, Daniel, no it’s not… I’m talking about ACTUAL horror, not… T h a t” Daniel gasped in mock offense “Hey! You LOVED that movie! Don’t try to deny it!” Kane somewhat glared at Daniel before relenting “...It wasn’t… All that bad I’ll admit it, look just- Just pick out the ones you wanna watch” Daniel nodded, deciding not to waste anymore time given that it was evening now.

He did promise to Kane that he’d watch horror movies with him IF Kane had sat down and watched those Christmas movies with him, at first he had to fight …Er, well okay not PHYSICALLY fight Kane but he had to argue with him over it for a good bit but eventually Kane had finally stopped arguing and agreed but on one condition, Daniel remembered well what that condition was but… He wouldn’t deny, even then, he was very delighted that Kane actually had sat down and watched those movies with him, that night was cozy, curled up on the couch, the fireplace roaring and the tree’s lights twinkling in the dim living room, while Kane did hate Christmas, Daniel felt grateful that Kane watched those movies with him and even went so far as to give him a gift! …That slammy award, thinking back on it, Daniel still wonders how Kane even got that for him, sometimes he wonders to himself ‘...Did he hurt someone and steal this from them…?’ …Oh well, it’s his now.

And then Daniel of course had gotten Kane a gift, he shudders when he thinks about that, he was so excited to give Kane a dog for Christmas, he remembers grinning so wide as Kane looked at the dog and then smiled as well, he thought Kane was overjoyed and in some aspects Daniel supposed he was but then he heard the other say “Thanks, I’m starving”

And IMMEDIATELY Daniel’s grin faded into a look of pure horror, he quickly shook his head and of course as always started yelling “NO! NO! NO!” He remembers quickly taking the dog back and telling Kane “Animals are our friend, not food!” And then he ran off as quickly as he could manage with the dog in his arms, he did hear the other yelling out for him, asking him to come back and if we could talk about this, like HELL they could! Daniel was not going to stand around and let Kane… Eat… Eat a fucking dog, that thought made him sick to his stomach, he had made a mental note to himself to NEVER get Kane a pet, because in all honesty Daniel knew if he did, he was going to go out and then come back to that animal missing and he knew exactly who the culprit would be.

…He shuddered and shook his head, dismissing those thoughts as he began looking over the horror movies, Kane surprisingly was being very patient, he seemed eager and excited to watch these movies with Daniel much like Bryan was when Kane was going to watch the Christmas movies with him, he carefully looked over and examined each of the horror movies laid out in front of him, he wanted to be thoughtful about these, but now here’s the thing while Daniel was an expert in Christmas movies… He knew little to nothing of horror, now sure, he of course knew some of the titles and characters because I mean… Who DOESN’T know Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, or Freddy Krueger? Characters like that were obvious and a dead giveaway “I think I wanna start with… With these three…” Daniel picked up three of the cases and handed them to Kane, the other looking over his selection, it appears Bryan had picked out the first Halloween, The first Texas ChainSaw Massacre, and then finally My Bloody Valentine.

Kane grinned wildly “...Interesting choices …But good ones nonetheless, classics actually” Daniel nodded “I knew uh, Halloween and the Chainsaw Massacre was, I uh don’t… Know much about My Bloody Valentine though” Kane chuckled “Well, you’re in for a treat, get comfortable on the couch and I’ll go get us some snacks” Daniel shook his head “U-Uhh, I-I’ll leave the eating to… To you, I don’t, think I can eat through a horror movie” The other rolled his eyes “Fine you big baby” Daniel glared at him momentarily but watched as he popped Halloween in first and then walked off to go get some snacks, Daniel didn’t care much for the previews of the other movies, he merely waited for Kane to get back from the kitchen, he could hear the sound of popcorn being made, Daniel was just relaxing and getting as comfortable as he possibly could on the couch.

And finally by the time all the previews had ended, the disc menu was up and Kane was back, he had a bowl full of popcorn that he sat on the table for a moment, he grabbed the dvd remote and pressed play before setting it back down and grabbing the bowl of popcorn again, Daniel had noticed Kane left a little blanket on the couch, he wrapped himself up in it and prepared for a long night of horror movies, he wanted to at least be as comfortable as he possibly could as he watched the tv screen, he heard that one tune that was associated with Michael Myers and then the title dropped, after a bit into the movie and seeing Dr. Loomis, Daniel made a face “...So wait, is he diagnosing Michael with ‘’pure evil’’ or am I missing something here?” Kane nodded “No, you’re right, he is” There was a long pause before Daniel shook his head “...That’s… Stupid… Man, Dr. Shelby would be better than him at this, although considering it’s a horror movie…” Kane smirked at that “Yeah, I don’t think he’d last but then again…”

“He did last with us, he somehow put up with us long enough to help us resolve our anger issues” There was a pause “...Somewhat” Daniel nodded “That’s true…” And then it was silent again, focusing once more on the movie, after a long bit of watching Michael stalk the main crew and listening to them go on and on with kinda boring stuff, Daniel and Kane did converse at some points here and there, commenting on the movie or it was Daniel asking questions which Kane happily answered, it was nice to see Kane so happy with this, he really loved his horror… And then finally, one particular scene caught Daniel’s attention, he heard a dog barking and then a whimper and he immediately frowned “...Did he kill that dog?” Kane nodded “Yes, I mean he IS a killer, he also ate it too it was just off screen” That made Bryan cringe “EW! That’s disgusting! Who would eat… a… a dog…” He began to trail off, there was a pause as Daniel slowly turned toward Kane who turned to him, his head tilted but he had a smirk on his face.

“What’s up, Daniel? What seems to be the matter?” A long bit of silence before Daniel opened his mouth to speak but then slowly closed it and shook his head and turned back to the tv “N-Never mind…” He heard Kane chuckle at that and then Daniel spoke up “You know, you’d fit right in as a slasher” The other laughed, it was a menacing sounding laugh “Thank you, that’s one of the nicest things you’ve said to me” Once again, focusing on the movie, it was mostly just one girl babysitting and fooling around, she talked about taking a kid over to Laurie’s house to go watch movies with Tommy so she could hang out with a boy or some shit, you know, typical teen stuff in horror movies… After that whole ordeal she was heading back to her place for a moment and then out to her car and dear g o d… That awful singing! Daniel and Kane both cringed at that, Kane chiming in “The one scene I hate with every fiber of my being in this movie is t h i s one…” Daniel nodded “Yeah, that singing is… NOT… Good” And after a few moments.

Michael appeared, the tune made Bryan jump slightly which Kane seemed to catch and laughed at, the other only playfully hit his shoulder in response, then Daniel turned his attention to the tv and noticed he was more or less strangling her but the noises… Ehhh, let’s just say it didn’t sound like someone was getting strangled “...I mean, I’ve technically been grabbed by the throat before, and I… Don’t think I’ve made that sound in response to it” Kane nodded “I mean it’s a fairly old film, don’t think it’s gonna be too perfect…” And then finally, the scene was over, she slowly slid down and landed on her horn, then it cut to Tommy and the girl, Tommy slowly hiding behind the curtain, probably trying to scare her and then he sees Michael carrying the other’s body into the house, this causes Tommy to back away which results in scaring the other, Laurie comes in after Tommy screams and freaks out about some kinda boogeyman whereas Laurie doesn’t believe him. This causes Kane to perk up “Ah… The Boogeyman, he’d love this movie”

Daniel looked a bit startled “Wait who now?” Kane spoke up “More or less… An old friend, someone I teamed with for a little bit in fact, he also eats worms, he tried to offer me some at one point but… Let’s just say I refused that offer” Daniel cringed in disgust “...Why- You know what, no, I’m not even going to ask but… I hope I never meet him, one horror monster is enough in my life” Kane grinned at that “Eh, I wouldn’t worry about encountering him, I don’t think it’ll ever happen” And with that, the rest of the movie was mostly in silence finally, the occasional laugh and jeer from Kane when Daniel jumped or yelped at a jumpscare in the movie only to be followed by Bryan’s retort and usually a playful punch in the shoulder or two or three.

And then they came to the end of the movie, Michael getting shot, and all that… After a bit the camera panned back to where his body had been and of course in stereotypical horror movie fashion, the killer was gone… Daniel rolled his eyes “Well, you see, here’s what they did wrong, you took your eyes off your opponent essentially… The moment they took their eyes off of him, he got the opportunity to vanish” Kane shrugged “While you do have a point, don’t forget, he’s a slasher… Those bastards NEVER stay down, no matter what you do to them” Daniel sighed “...That’s true” And then Kane got up, got the disc out and placed it back into its case, he then set it down “One down, two more to go…” Kane looked at the clock “We’ve got plenty of time it’s just… Seven thirty, watching horror movies late at night is the best way to go” Daniel somewhat nodded as he watched Kane load up the Chainsaw Massacre movie, popping it into the player and then walking back over and sitting on the couch.

(I forgot to mention, Kane had been eating the popcorn this entire time gjfkdlfkgjd he hasn’t just sat there with the bowl in hand, my boy knows how to EAT I’m just forgetful as hell)

Now, while Halloween did manage to give Daniel a jumpscare or two, this movie… Well, needless to say this one got to him a little bit, he would never actually admit that, at some point… He had clung onto Kane’s arm, the other raising a brow at this but he smirked nonetheless “Daniel? …You alright? You’re not… S c a r e d are you~?” Daniel realized he was clinging onto the other’s arm, he blushed and then pulled away, scoffing and crossing his arms “What?! No! I-I don’t get scared, not of some dumb lil horror movie…! Psh, yeah right, me? S c a r e d? I’m not scared of anyone or anything!” Kane chuckled at that, bringing Daniel close to him again “Alright, alright… If you say so” Daniel’s face was flushed, out of embarrassment but also now he was close to Kane again, he looked away and grumbled but this time he didn’t actually try to pull away.

Daniel cringed upon seeing the dude cut himself in the movie, it’s not like he hadn’t seen that stuff before or never got cuts but it was mostly the behavior this guy had that was unsettling “...To be fair, I um, don’t think I’d pick up a hitchhiker …L-Like t h a t anyways” Kane hummed at that “Especially not in a horror movie, it’ll always lead to trouble” Daniel sighed and dug into some popcorn himself, he knew he had said earlier he couldn’t eat during a horror movie but he’d be lying if he said he hadn’t gotten a little bit hungry, they continued watching the movie, sometimes talking, whether it be Daniel asking a question or just complaining about a few things, or even just commenting on certain things… Eventually, they finally got to see the slasher of this particular film, Daniel perked up slightly “A lot of these slashers wear masks, huh?” Kane looked down to the other, grinning slightly “Uh, Daniel?” The man blinked and looked up, he noticed Kane was pointing to his face and then he scoffed “...My point exactly”

“I’m practically leaning against a slasher of my own right now, huh?” Kane snorted at that, ruffling Daniel’s hair, affection or playfulness like this was a bit rare… But still “Yeah, you kinda are, maybe I’ve killed, maybe I haven’t… You’ll never truly know” Daniel blinked, a look of concern spread across his face before looking directly up at Kane “...I-” He opened his mouth but paused “...You know what, I don’t wanna ask, I DON’T wanna know” The other chuckled “Good, you actually chose the best option~” Then they watched as Bubba strung someone up on a meat hook and okay that made Daniel cringe, cringe h a r d… The movie didn’t get better from there in the slightest, it only got worse, seeing the bones, meat, hearing the chainsaw sounds, eugh…

Okay, maybe Daniel WOULD regret eating that popcorn in the next few minutes, every time he heard the chainsaw, it made him jump and then Kane would tease him, at some point Daniel had tried to pull away but Kane only tightened his hold and held him in place “You’re not going anywhere~ C’mon Daniel, it’s so obvious your scared! Just relax, let me protect you from the big scary monster on screen~” This made Daniel huff and punch at Kane “Knock it off! I’m NOT scared, what? You think I’m scared of some dude in a mask? I’m not scared of YOU! Why would I be scared of t h a t?” Kane couldn’t help but tease and push, eventually Daniel told him to shut up and watch the fucking movie, surprisingly enough, Kane relented and the two continued to watch.

Kane shoving some more popcorn into his mouth, eventually, they were nearing the end, Daniel saw the girl strapped to the chair and just, jeez… “...That entire family is pretty insane, damn…” Kane nodded “Yep, pretty much, I mean they’re cannibals, they eat humans” Daniel shook his head “Okay Mr. Dog Eater… I STILL haven’t forgotten that!” Kane huffed “That’s different!” The other shook his head “It’s REALLY not that different! IT’S STILL JUST AS BAD, MAN!” Kane and Daniel argued a bit over that, Daniel trying and not even stressing enough just how bad it is that he would actually want to EAT a dog and meanwhile Kane was trying to justify and defend himself and it only made it worse before Daniel actually placed his hands on his temples, rubbing them “Oh my g o d… You are actually the insane one here, I swear… HOW did I get stuck with you?” Kane grinned and leaned down, getting close to Daniel’s face “Doesn’t matter now~ You can’t and won’t ever get rid of me~ …And you k n o w it~” The man groaned “...Fine, you win that one”

Kane laughed before Daniel raised up, giving him a quick peck on the cheek, they were both definitely in a very good mood tonight, especially since Kane returned the favor, perhaps a little more roughly but it was nothing too bad, besides Daniel knew… Even now, Kane had a very hard time being gentle, he wasn’t used to being gentle in the slightest but he always wanted to try making an effort for the other, and he’s gotten a lot better at it than he used to be at the very least… He hoisted Daniel up and kissed him directly on the lips and then pulled back “If you’re gonna kiss me, at LEAST give me a proper one…” He grumbled to which Daniel only smirked at “Maybe when you admit that I’m not scared of some dumb horror movie THEN I’ll give you a proper kiss, until then you get NOTHING more” Kane scoffed “...Okay so you want me to lie now, is that right? Because I’ve got no problem with lying” Daniel made an irritated sound “...I h a t e you, s o much…”

“Hate you too~” Daniel huffed and got comfortable, still leaning up against Kane as they continued to watch the movie, Daniel tried his hardest not to jump anymore to PROVE to Kane that he wasn’t scared of this and so far he succeeded but the look on his face told the man otherwise but surprisingly enough he kept quiet this time, after a bit now this movie was finally over, Daniel raising up off of Kane so he could stand up, he placed the empty popcorn bowl on the coffee table and then stood up, he turned back to Daniel “Ready for the next one, we still got some time on our hands, sooo…?” Daniel nodded, despite looking a little shaken, he steeled himself “Yep, totally am, ready for the last one, it was… Uhhh” Kane then spoke up “My Bloody Valentine, that’s the last one you picked out” The other nodded at this “Ye-Yep, that one…”

He cursed himself for stuttering but Kane said nothing, he simply walked over, popped that dvd out of the player, then quickly scooped up ‘My Bloody Valentine’ and then placed it in, he then walked back over and plopped back down on the couch, and yet another movie, the final one for the night… Daniel got back into position and got comfortable, practically laying across Kane’s lap, his head turned toward the tv, and thus began this movie now… Daniel didn’t have much to say during this, he didn’t seem bored necessarily, he just seemed to be watching… He had sat up as well and quit snuggling against Kane, he would honestly be relieved when this was over… While he wouldn’t deny, spending time with the other, like THIS no less, was amazing… …Daniel wasn’t a fan of horror movies and that was for certain.

Kane then stood up “I’ll be right back, gotta use the bathroom” Daniel looked toward him “Want me to pause it for you?” The other shook his head “No, just keep watching” The man nodded at this and then Kane left, stepping out of sight as Daniel turned back toward the TV. He glanced around the house momentarily and then shook his head, he WASN’T scared…! Psh, just because Kane had left doesn’t mean his fear increased! Nope! Daniel Bryan was NOT scared of ANYTHING! H-He wasn’t scared in the first place either, there was no fear TO increase! Nope, nuh-uh, NONE whatsoever! …Daniel continued to watch the movie, trying to keep himself calm but that… Was easier said than done at this point, every little noise he heard from the house had made him jump. After a long few moments, Daniel had looked to see if Kane was coming back yet but he wasn’t, the man sighed, great… Just great… As the movie continued to play, Daniel just sat there in the middle of the couch now, staring at the tv, cringing when a loud noise played.

…And then suddenly, he felt two strong arms grasp around him, this made Daniel yell out in fear and he struggled momentarily before suddenly the two arms let him go and he fell to the floor, he looked back up and saw Kane standing there, laughing the hardest that he had probably laughed in a LONG time, he had a shit-eating grin on his face as well “Not scared huh?! Well, whaddya call t h a t, Daniel?” He continued to laugh, meanwhile Daniel was breathing heavily for the moment, looking kinda shaken up, he took a moment to process what just happened and then his brows furrowed “Yo-You… You ASSHOLE! You’re such a bastard, ugh! I can’t believe you!” Daniel stood up and stomped over to where Kane was, who was still laughing and grinning away but he tried to pause momentarily to speak, some laughs still in between “You shoulda- haha… S-Seen your face…!” Daniel huffed and that seemed to make him even angrier “It’s not funny!” He sounded serious but Kane was too busy laughing to notice and then Daniel shook his head.

“Whatever! Finish the damn horror movie yourself, you prick! I’m going to bed!” He yelled and that’s when Kane’s laughter died down a little, Daniel turned and started walking toward the bedroom, Kane calling out “Oh c’mon Daniel! It was just a harmless little scare! I was just messing with you! …Daniel! Come back!” He called out the other’s name but then the bedroom door slammed shut and that caused the man to groan and then sigh …Okay… Maybe…

Maybe he did push it that time, maybe he pushed it a little TOO much… Kane stood there for a few moments, thinking it over as he looked back to the movie playing he sighed and paused it momentarily, that scare might’ve been too much.

He eventually slowly began to approach the bedroom and he stood outside the door, a look of guilt on his face before he knocked on the door “Daniel?” He called out, there was no response… Meanwhile, Daniel was just inside, laying on the bed, arms crossed and he looked upset. He didn’t answer Kane for the next few moments until he heard the other sigh “Daniel, look, I’m… Sorry for scaring you like that…” There was a long pause, Daniel glancing somewhat over to the door “...Come on, I mean… You gotta admit, it was kinda funny, wasn’t it?” …There was a part of Daniel that wanted to get mad at that, but he thought back to hearing Kane’s laugh, that joyous laughter that made his heart flutter, it was so rare to hear Kane laugh like that.

…And the more he thought about it the more his glare faded, eyes softening somewhat as he thought about the laughter, and even now he could hear Kane chuckling a little, it was more of a nervous one however this time “...Okay, MAYBE it wasn’t that funny, look, just… Can we talk about this?” Daniel then got an idea, he grinned mischievously as he almost leapt off the bed, he quietly crept to the door, unlocking it and then hiding behind it, he’d wait for Kane to open the door, and it took the other a few moments as he finally turned the knob, surprised to find it’d open “...Daniel?” He called out as he opened the door somewhat and then stepped inside the room, eyes scanning for any signs of the other, when he found none he frowned “...Dan?” He stepped closer into the room but still saw no signs of the other and then suddenly, a loud noise startled Kane, he spun around, about to swing but then he noticed Daniel’s grinning face and he quickly halted his fist, the other didn’t even flinch but he burst out laughing “Got you! Oh man! See how it feels now?” Kane blinked in surprise before they narrowed.

The other was still laughing, tears in his eyes “Oh man! I never thought I’d be able to scare YOU! Of all people! The big red monster himself getting jumpscared!” Daniel continued laughing for a bit before finally it died down and he sighed, a cheeky grin still on his face “Okay, first of all, that, that was payback… Second, I’ll admit, I did kinda… Overreact, I thought about it, for a bit while you were still in there, I can see why you did it now to be honest, that was really funny” Kane’s eyes were still narrow and he was silent and Daniel was confused “Uhh… Kane?” The other remained silent and now he was growing a bit nervous, his grin faltering “...I didn’t get ya that bad did I?” …He was actually concerned, but Kane still remained silent for a few moments before… Suddenly, his eyes softened and he let out a chuckle before it turned into joyous laughter and Daniel felt his heart flutter, there it was! There was that laughter he oh so loved to hear and that made him sigh in relief, he also began laughing a little too “Okay, I deserved that, I’ll give you that one” Daniel nodded “Yeah, yeah ya did”

The two shared some laughter together for a bit, somewhat commenting on the difference in how they get when scared, and then the laughter died down, Kane somewhat smirking “You know, nobody ever jumps out at the slashers, and for good reason… After all, that’s a death wish, and Daniel… Do you remember what you said earlier, about me practically being a slasher?” This confused the other immensely “...Uh, yeah? …Why?” Kane began to approach which caused Daniel to take a step back, a grin on the other’s face “...Run” Daniel’s eyes widened a bit, not really out of fear, he could tell by Kane’s tone the other was just playing, he bit back a grin of his own “...Oh, fuck no” And with that, Daniel took off, Kane chasing behind him, telling him to get back here, that he’s not escaping.

…And wow, even though the other was just being silly and messing around, Kane could never help how menacingly he said things but Daniel was just yelping any time he almost got grabbed “Stay away from me!” He put on a fake scared voice, he couldn’t help a little chuckle that escaped him as Kane almost slid down while chasing him, the only thing that actually did scare Daniel was just how fast the other could be when he did run, before Daniel could even escape, because he damn sure wasn’t going to hide, he was suddenly grabbed and hoisted into the air “Caught you~” The two of them were breathing heavily after running around like that, Daniel huffed but surprisingly didn’t struggle, he just looked up to Kane who was looming over him, a cocky smirk on his face “A-Alright… Yeah, you got me… Hardy har har…” Kane nodded “...I’ll give you a LOT of credit, YOU were heading to the front door rather than hiding, so that’s a plus” He then suddenly scooped Daniel into his arms, bridal style, the other questioned him on this, he chuckled “Carrying you to bed, because I’m exhausted and you’re exhausted”

Daniel couldn’t argue there, he was very tired after all this… But then he frowned “...What about the horror movies? …We had one more left, didn’t we?” Kane nodded as he began walking toward the bedroom “Yeah, but we can finish that some other time, I want some sleep” Daniel chuckled “The Sleepy Slasher, you just carry your victims to bed” Kane snorted at that one “...Well I guess you’re the victim then…” Daniel nodded “Guess I am, really have no complaints to be honest” And then there was a pause as Kane seemed to think about that title “...I do NOT wanna be called that though” Daniel grinned “Too bad, that’s your new alias, The Sleepy Slasher” Kane shook his head “...Daniel I swear, I WILL drop your right now and go to bed on my own” This made the other laugh but he relented “Okay, okay…!” After that they fell silent, Kane just carrying Daniel in his arms, the other fully relaxed as he was carried off to bed.

Once in the bedroom, Kane gingerly laid Daniel down onto the bed “I’ll be right back, I gotta turn the tv and dvd player off” Daniel nodded, getting comfortable and stretching out as he watched Kane exit the room, he began to think about the other’s laughter, he couldn’t get that out of his head and it brought a smile to his face, maybe the other scaring him wasn’t a bad thing, maybe it was a good thing… If it meant he could hear laughter like that from the other? …He’d take it, after a few moments the masked man came back, creeping slowly over to the bed before plopping down right beside Daniel, he let out a content sigh “...Thank you” Daniel looked over confused “For what?” There was a pause before he noticed a smile on the other’s face, a genuine smile and that made his face go fully red “...For watching the horror movies with me tonight” Daniel could feel his face heating up but he smiled nonetheless “...No problem, it was… Actually really fun, if I’m being honest” Kane seemed pleased with that “...Fun even though you were scared?”

Daniel then immediately scoffed and turned away “For the last time, I was NOT scared…!” Kane chuckled at that, pulling the other closer to him, snuggling up to him almost “...You were absolutely scared~ Not that you have anything to be scared of, after all, even if those monsters WERE real, they’d have to get through m e to get to you… I promised I’d protect you, and I have no intentions of ever breaking said promise” Daniel opened his mouth to argue but then closed it, that last bit… …That brought a smile onto his face as he turned back over, snuggling against the other, even closer “...We’ll protect each other” Daniel added.

To which Kane hummed and nodded “...That we will …Goodnight, Daniel” The other felt Kane lean his head down to place a kiss on his head, Daniel then looked up, frowning before raising up to give the other a kiss on the lips, after that he pulled back, grinning a bit “...If YOU’RE going to give me a kiss, then at LEAST give me a proper one…~” He mimicked the other’s words from earlier and that caused the two of them to laugh before finally settling in and down “...Goodnight Kane… Love ya, man…” He added before finally closing his eyes, the other still had a smile on his face, it was nights like these where Kane felt the most content he had ever felt in his life “...Love you too” He eventually spoke, before also closing his eyes, the pair snuggled up to one another, arms wrapped around each other as they eventually fell asleep.

(these lads really deserved some fluff, been watching their era again and the weak link shit made me cry jfhgkdlfjgds so I’m giving them happy fluffy times together bc they BOTH deserve it dammit!

I originally was going to have Kane just apologize for his scare and then the two would go to bed then but I got a funnier n cuter idea and thus them to being lil shits to one another happened ...Again)
