Trying some lettering with the new ink pens. The Pilot Drawing Pen (03) was my original pen for lettering. I liked them overall and asked my sister for input, she preferred the School-G Pen and found that one easier to read. Which is helpful to know since she has Dyslexia and any little thing that makes the lettering clearer is a winner.

Okay so Poll Time. I'm planning on selling stickers to try and hit off my Ko-Fi. Which I know hasn't been started yet, but I'm unsure of where to start... Anywho! What are some potential stickers would y'all want to buy?

if there's one thing this last episode has affirmed for me about Alastor it's that he FUCKING HATES being reminded that he's not the most powerful creature in hell.
Like, he hates being ignored by Carmilla when she says she doesn't care why he was gone
He hates Lucifer ON SIGHT
He threatens to KILL Husk when he dares to mention that Alastor is working for someone more powerful than him
and now this.
Tumblr media
Alastor freaking out because he almost died. Something almost killed him. He can fucking die. There is something more powerful than him out there. And it's not something he can ignore or brush off because it almost killed him.
Alastor hates the reminder that he's not as powerful as he tells people he is. He isn't indestructible, he isn't invincible. And he fucking hates that.

please i love you i'm begging you bring back suspension of disbelief bring back trusting the audience like. i cannot handle any more dialogue that sounds like a legal document. "hello, i am here to talk to you about the incident from a few minutes ago, because i feel you might be unwell, and i am invested in your personal wellbeing." "thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!
do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

Under the Same Sky
Aaand the second half.
Prologue (1.2)
“Who knows, maybe the records got burned at some point or something.” His companion shrugged.
They fell silent, but the young nightwatchman couldn’t keep his mouth shut for long as his thoughts latched onto another question, “What exactly is Hallow Magic?”
The older nightwatchman looked at him, “Did you not listen in history class?”
“I was taught by an old nun who only knew to praise the gods and the saints. I think she wasn’t too clear in her head anymore.”
“…Allegedly, two thousand years ago, magic didn’t have as many specific classifications as it does now. Hallow Magic is seen as the ancestor of plant, growth, and healing magic, able to cure the sick, revive the dead, and manifest life.”
“Ancestral magic…” he murmured to himself as they walked along the city wall.
His companion suddenly came to a halt and tipped up her wide-brimmed hat, “Did you heart that?”
“What?” The young nightwatchman turned to look at her.
“That humming.”
They fell silent.
The young nightwatchman was just about to shake his head when the breeze intensified and brought with it a soft sound akin to the gentle hum of a woman.
The tranquil night instantly felt a little cold.
“Is, is it a ghost?” The young nightwatchman shivered. He scooted over to his older companion and nervously eyed their surroundings.
The older nightwatchman relied on her superior hearing to look around, determining the direction from which they heard the humming. Finally, she wrinkled her brows and stared at the sky, murmuring to herself.
“The stars…?”
The younger nightwatchman immediately straightened up, “Are you saying the stars are humming? No way, they are too far away, how could you hear that?”
Normally, his companion would’ve immediately slapped the back of his head and told him off for talking nonsense, but this time, she remained silent. Her gaze was completely focused on the stars, not paying him any more attention.
The young nightwatchman swallowed and also looked up.
He tilted his head, “Have the stars always been so bright?”
The older nightwatchman shook her head, “I don’t know.”
Just as her last word fell, the cool starlight abruptly brightened and the humming became louder, its melody akin to an ancient hymn. The light condensed into seven lone points, each of them as bright as the full moon, bathing the world in their light. Magic surged through the air, forming a thick mist that shrouded the lands, and countless people woke from their sleep in the dead of the night, rising from their resting places, lifting their heads to gaze towards the shining night sky with bated breaths.
And then, the stars fell.
As the hymn reached its peak, seven stars came off the sky and tumbled down like dazzling pearls or twinkling diamonds falling off a blue velvet dress, leaving only silvern streaks of light in their place.
When the last stars shone and dawn lit up the horizon, the young nightwatchman sucked in a deep breath and turned his head. The sudden movement made him realize that his neck hurt from holding the same position for so long, yet it couldn’t diminish his excitement even in the slightest.
“Did you see that?! It’s just like the legend!”
They made eye contact.
“Does that mean—“
“A new saint is born?”
