OS: Ningguang & Reader "Comfort in difficult times"
Ningguang comforts the reader and shares her advice and experience || no romance, just comfort for bad times || reader and unknown figures are gender neutral pronouns for better self insert:)
[Request/Idea from tarudocd from twitter/x]
Enjoy!
It was already evening in Liyue and the typical bustling streets became slowly empty, as you realized, while sitting in a lonely corner on the streets of Liyue. Tears were  blurring your view, while anger and deep sadness were bubbling inside you. It was as if your heart was breaking and bleeding from all the hurt, you had to endure with this person.
Exhausted you pulled your knees to your chest, wraping your arms around your them and put your face on them, so you could let it all out. Then a smooth, slightly rough voice started to talk to you: "Hello dear, what is wrong? Do you need help?"
Quickly you raised your head and looked into a pair of red eyes. An elegant woman with long white hair, whose ashy ends danced around her waist in the chilly wind, wore a golden dress, covered in ornaments. You stood up in shock and stumbled back. "T-the Tianshu, Lady Ningguang!", you bowed before her and hid your face with your swollen eyes. It was so embarrassing, that she saw you exactly today in your messy state.
"Everything's fine."
The Tianshu chuckled lightly with a soft smile. "Doesn't seem to be the case."
She sat down beside the spot you sat before and pat on the place beside her. "Come here, child", she invited you softly with a smile. Hesitantly you sat down beside her. It's not an everyday event, that the all-knowing Lady Ningguang talked to you. "What happened?", she asked you. How were you suppose to answer this? How could someone like her understand? She was the richest person in Teyvat and you were just a normal citizen of this city. You payed your bills like every other one in Liyue, you ate, you slept, you talked to people. Why would she care for your wellbeing? "It-It doesn't matter", you mumbled, while wiping away the tears from your cheeks, not faring to look beside you. Ningguang placed her chin thoughtful on her hand, while looking at you carefully. "You do know, that your emotions matter, right? And the reason why you feel this way has to be resolved somehow. How else are you suppose to move on with your life?"
It made sense, you thought to yourself. You glanced over to the woman, who was right now just that, a woman, a human like you. Okay, maybe the vision hanging on her body makes her even in this moment not like you, but advice from her would be appreciated. "Uhm... there is this person", you started with shakey voice and told about all your troubles with them, how they hurt you, how they manipulatrd you into trusting them and now blamed you for their own failing. They were your best friend, what else should you do except staying? You knew them for so long.
Throughout your explanation Ningguang listened carefully to every detail of your story and nodded understanding, before staring of into the distance, where the sun was setting. Then she sighed and looked at you with sorrow.
"They're your friend?"
"Yes, my...best friend."
"Darling, if you have such a person as a friend, you don't need enemies."
That shut you up, not being able to argue against this. "From what I heard all this person has ever done to you was making your life miserable", she took your hands into hers, holding them gently, "Maybe they were once great to you and you were genuinely happy with them, but they aren't good for you anymore."
Tears started to come back into your eyes again, a sob escaped your mouth. "But they're all I have left-"
"That is not true", Ningguang cut you off in a firm tone, "Just because you knew this person so long and sacrificed so much for them, that doesn't mean it has to be that way forever."
She closed her eyes one moment in thoughts, before continuing to explain: "I once had a buisness partner before, who was also my best friend.", she didn't smile anymore, hiding anger behind the rubin eyes, "They helped me, when I was still very poor and fighting for every single Mora. We became a very good team- Until I found out, how they were trying to use my ideas to only promote themselves and told important people lies about me and my abilities, making me sink in status and wealth.", she breathed deeply in and out, "I don't think I would've had this much knowledge about buisness interactions and trades without them and I onced thought I owed my life to them. So leaving them wasn't easy for me."
You hung on her every word and listened to every word, as if they were lifesaving water in the sumerian desert. "What did you do?"
"After realizing they needed me and my abilities, I contacted a friend of mine, who also happened to be a lawyer. We collected enough evidence to sue them. We both lost a lot of money in the process, but I was free from them. They couldn't harm me anymore.", a smile sneaked back onto her lips, "What I'm trying to say: You don't need them. There are other, better people, waiting to be discovered by you. The only thing you need is this", she tapped your head, "and this", and tapped the place on your chest, where your heart is. "You can do a lot of things."
For the first time for today, you felt... relieved and not that sad anymore, as if a lot of the weight, you've been carrying around was gone after this special conversation. The first stars appeared on the sky. The Tianshu let go of your hands and rose up. "I have to leave now. And you too."
Before leaving the Tianshu took out a few mora and placed them into your hand. "Get yourself something to eat, drink tea and sleep early. Tomorrow is a new day and a good time to finally leave. Otherwise, you will be stuck forever in this circle."
Surprised your gaze sticked on the Tianshu as she walked away, from you with a smile. "Take care, little one", were her last words to you.
"Thank you...", were the words you mumbled as you stood up with new determination to change your life for the better. Maybe you could do great things for yourself.

zhongeula
[please be gentle with me i know very little about eula so this might be a bit ooc]
Teyvat but modern au kinda, Eula visits Liyue for a day.
Zhongli admires the rather peculiar necklace settled around the throat of a porcelain statuette, tapping a finger along his bottom lip to avoid the urge to pick up the necklace and inspect it closer. Xingxi usually takes no issue with his scrutiny, but there’s something about the furrow of her brow today that suggests she might get annoyed, regardless of whether she says so out loud.
It’s a kyanite necklace, the jagged rock protruding from the rather delicate gold base it’s inlaid into and spreading outward with dull edges that still seem dangerous to wear. Despite this, there’s something pretty and soft about the necklace itself. Maybe it’s the symbolism of that particular stone, that of healing and new beginnings, that makes Zhongli almost want to purchase it even though he’d never wear it.
Not because it isn’t pretty, of course, but because Childe would surely comment on how it doesn’t match the deep browns and golds of his overall aesthetic.
Zhongli huffs, moving away from the necklace and offering Xingxi a small smile as he leaves Mingxing Jewelry. She waves back before turning to the hysterical woman bemoaning a broken set of cor lapis earrings. The streets of Liyue Harbor are bustling in the cool summer air, visiting travelers gathered around the many kiosks and food stalls, ready to spend their mora on finite delicacies they’ll remember for months to come. Zhongli is walking leisurely down the paths when a flash of blue out of the corner of his eye causes him to stop amidst the crowd, looking up toward the terrace that houses the Wanwen Bookhouse.
A woman stands out against the backdrop of the Bookhouse, cool as winter amidst a summer atmosphere as she holds a book up and flips through the pages. Zhongli watches her tuck her choppy blue hair behind one ear with a gloved hand, closing the book promptly and turning her back to Zhongli as she approaches Jifang. She moves gracefully, like a gentle stream or a ribbon caught in the breeze, and it’s--
A passerby bumps into Zhongli and shakes him from his thoughts, the frozen man in the crowd quickly gathering his senses and moving hastily through the throngs of people as he pushes thoughts of the icy woman from his mind.
---
Eula scowls down at the book in her hands. “I don’t get it.”
Amber huffs, rolling her eyes over her food. “It’s a book of folk tales, Eula. There’s nothing to understand, really, except for the overall message.”
Eula sets the book down and instead stares down at her food, a dish called Tianshu meat that looks incredible despite Eula’s lack of hunger. “Yes, I understand what a folk tale is. I just can’t discern any hidden message or warning from the stories of Heart’s Desire.”
“Maybe you’re not reading it right.”
Eula blinks, looking up from her dish with narrowed eyes. “There’s only one way to read a book, Amber.”
“That’s not true!” Amber laughs. “You read it with your heart as well! You’ve got to allow yourself to be absorbed by the story to truly understand what the writer is trying to tell you.”
Eula says nothing in argument, poking at her food with a low sigh as she looks out across the narrow paths of Liyue. The crowds of a warm afternoon are slowly dispersing into the night, returning to their homes or inns until the next sunrise. At first, Eula had not understood the appeal of traveling from Mondstadt to Liyue, but she’s happy to have followed along with Amber’s whims this once. Liyue is beautiful, if a bit overwhelming to a foreigner, and Eula is almost saddened at the fact that they can’t stay just one day longer. Surely there’s more to see, more to explore across the vastly beautiful landscape.
Alas, eventually the two will have to return to work.
They finish their meal rather quickly, with Eula eventually finishing off her dish-- at a much slower pace than Amber-- before they set off for the night to return to their inn. They pass a jewelry shop with darkened windows and many street merchants packing up their kiosks, when Eula’s eyes catch on a pair of men walking in the opposite direction of them. One is rather bright against the evening light, from his gold-red hair to the flashy way he gestures with his hands as he talks. The other, though, almost blends in with the night, tall and dark around the edges as he leans into his friend’s conversation with distant eyes and the occasional nod of his head. Amber is chatting away beside Eula about how they can maybe bring back some gifts for the other Knights, but Eula pays her no mind.
The dark man glances up, just briefly, his golden eyes catching on Eula for what must surely be only a second, but it’s a second that stretches out into infinity as the breath in her lungs burns cold as ice, her heartbeat stumbling over itself before they both pass one another, the moment broken by the passing of time.
“Eula, are you listening to me? I was saying, if we wait a bit to depart in the morning, I think earlier I saw someone selling scrolls of parchment that we could take back to Albedo, and I saw some fireworks Klee would love, and--”
Eula takes a deep breath, but it does nothing to dissuade that breathless feeling in her chest. “Amber, why don’t we stay just one more day? Surely it won’t hurt.”
“Wh-- Eula, you were the one who said we could only stay one day! Why are you changing your mind now?”
Eula risks a glance backwards and finds the two men stopped at the steps of a large building, the sign reading “Wangsheng Funeral Parlor”. The red-haired man is distracted by a shorter brunette girl he appears to be arguing with, but the other--
The other man is looking right at Eula.
She turns away with wide eyes. “I just think… Maybe we deserve just a bit more time. Don’t you think?”
Amber leans forward, narrowing her eyes as she studies Eula’s face before backing away with a grin. “I won’t argue with you there! It’s a deal, we’ll stay just one more day to pick out gifts for our friends!”
Just one more day… for gifts. Nothing more. No visits to funeral homes, of course.
Not at all.

Gah I finally managed to get unblocked on Loyalty of the Wind! Split the Liyue chapter up, and now I can work on the second half of it in peace.... Have a snippet from the second half!
The Tianshu brings Ganyu down through the harbour dockyard, through shadowed corners and alleys where not even a hint of the presence of the Millelith was to be had. Liyue Harbour’s own quiet underbelly. Mindful of the balance of things - and of how carefully the harbour’s shadow operated so as not to offend Rex Lapis, Ganyu folds her presence in as well, dims the brightness of an adeptus’ aura, and follows the Tianshu quietly.

Device:  “Sewing machine”
The emergence of industrial textile machines has promoted the modern society. This fabric-related cause has profoundly changed human life. And I chose the sewing machine to express my thinking about it. Like some fashion designers who embroider symbolic symbols on their clothes, I regard cloth as“camera film ”that can carry visual information. More specifically, through an online questionnaire, I got some of the feelings of people during the epidemic, which can be a word or a paragraph, printing these information-intensive colors on paper, and the audience will connect the paper to the cloth through an electric sewing machine at the exhibition site to form a long “cloth film".
Tumblr media
In the process of exhibition layout, part of the sewn cloth text will be cut, and the cloth will be scattered in some corners to form visual elements, so that the text carrying memory will be distorted, wound or even knotted by the cloth.
The way words are handled in this device is influenced by Chinese artist Xu Bing, whose Tianshu work creates a kind of Chinese characters that cannot be understood and attracts audiences to interpret constantly, and eventually hangs this complex text message in the exhibition space. I will also set up some clothes hangers in the exhibition space and hang up the cloth with words.
Tumblr media
Artist's work "the sky book",  as a paradox-its unreadable text makes the book meaningless-has provoked some soul-searching. The artist thought that manipulating the written word is to transform the very essence of culture. While creating contradictions and mocking the written word, hang them from an altarpiece. This inspired me to present a text between understandable and unknown to the audience.

Ok the archons is just fine right? Pretty much all the immortal (that are adults) are. But people sleep on the twins man, Lumine? Aether? Id do anything they asked me too.
But think you being a safe place for them to relax without a care for the world around them. They dont need to be a hero, cause to you they already are. Please the idea of just them sharing other worlds cultures and storys to you as you listen to them speak as if they are the only thing that matters.
NAH WAIT CUZ THIS IS ACTUALLY SO SWEET.... :(( you're the reason their day ends well and where they can finally feel calm and skjgnafjhsgfnasgfha oh my gosh. ooooh my gosh yes. i just had to write a short lil blurb rq for this bc its so nice

It had been a long day of commissions and requests for the traveller, their muscles sore from overworking themselves and heavy bags under their eyes. Waking up at four in the morning was not an easy feat, but they had to get compensation somehow.
Paimon floats next to them as they aimlessly wander the streets of Liyue before they finally settle in for the night. Their stomach grumbles, which grabs Paimon’s attention.
“Why don’t we pick up some food?” The white-haired girl suggests. “Ooh, look, there’s a vendor right there!”
“Is this for your benefit or for mine?” The traveller lifts an eyebrow, and Paimon quickly shakes her head.
“No, no! It’s for the both of us…?” She weakly tries to defend herself, and the blonde simply smirks and lets out a breath through their nose.
After picking up some food for takeout, the traveller decides it's time to head back to their teapot. They summon it, getting sucked into the portal to their own dimension, and land safely on their feet in front of the door to their house.
It seems that the harsh day finally catches up to them, and suddenly the weight of the world is on their shoulders. Their entire body is sore, all they want is to pass out on their couch and forget about everything-
Their front door opens before they can walk in, and you greet them with a smile so warm, that could make the coldest of days warm up.
“You’re back!” You exclaim. You notice the extra bags in the traveller’s hands, gracefully plucking it from them and taking them into your own. “And you got food?”
They give you a small nod before walking up to you, close enough that your noses are nearly touching. However, before you can say anything, they lower their head onto your shoulder, bury their face in your neck and let their body go almost completely limp.
You huff out a small laugh.
“Long day?”
“Mmhm.” The blonde replies, not bothering to lift their head again to look at you.
“Alright then, why don’t we set this food on the table and relax.” You lead the way into their house, Paimon tailing right behind you at the mention of food.
You encourage your friends to relax at the dining table, and they reluctantly listen to you. After placing everything on the table, you realise this isn’t the usual food you share with your favourite traveller.
“Hey, what kind of food is this?” You point towards your plate as you sit down.
They perk up at your question, and through a mouthful of their own meal, they answer. “It’s from Liyue, I got you some Tianshu meat. I thought you might like something that isn’t from Mond, like we usually get.”
You nod, and quickly take a bite out of it. Your eyes light up as your mouth explodes from the flavours, and you smile brightly at your friend after you’re done swallowing. The traveller smiles back, albeit a tired one, but it was fond nonetheless.
“This is amazing! I’ve never been to Liyue, much less had any food from there…”
“Actually, Liyue’s food reminds me of another world my sibling and I travelled to.” The blonde says, the memories flashing in their mind. “All the streets were constantly packed with vendors and different shops, there wasn’t one corner that wasn’t occupied. It was busy, but there was so much culture there!”
You listen attentively, your eyes fixed on them as the rest of the world melts away, leaving only the two of you at the dining table. Their voice telling their stories carries your worries away, leaving only your vivid imagination trying to come up with what the other world could have looked like. At that moment, nothing else matters to you besides them.
The traveller eventually looks up from their rambles, and they notice that your entire attention is fixed on them, a dopey smile on your face as your cheek rests in your hand. Your food is long gone, and their meal has turned cold, but they can’t seem to care. They feel some weight come off their shoulders, and take a long, deep breath to remind themselves that this moment is shared between the two of you, and nobody else. You’re there with them, listening as if the world isn’t as cruel as it is - and maybe, just maybe, it isn’t. And at that moment, you are their safe place.

Agent Codename:  Oracle of Delphin
Real Name: Itherael, Archangel of Fate, Leader of the Fate Flight
Alias: Qian Tianshu; Izzy
Proceed further for classified information
Human Appearance: Often uses a human form of Hans Chinese ancestry, but the gender is often different from era to era. Currently is identifying as a male. Status: Active: Often investigating folklore legends, creepy pastas, and other such ghost stories Threat Levels Handled: Handles levels from just a few orbs to shoo away to major demonic threats, but usually these are more the threats he digs up himself during investigations into lore.
Dossier:
The archangel of fate has for thousands of years maintained the annuals of Heaven and is a gatherer of knowledge from age to age. Although there was a set back with the burning of the library of Alexandria, an event he still hasn't forgiven, the records of Heaven continue to be expanded. Known to be curious by nature,Itherael is actually quiet adventurous if his interest is peaked which is why he tends to work in the field more than in the library of fate. In particular, urban legends, folklore, ghost stories, campfire tales, and creepypastas are what Itherael prefers to examine. From Bloody Mary to Candyman, he's done all the rituals and the like to see if they are true, often banishing the demons and malevolent entities attached to such things to render them harmless. Many “cursed images” have been personally blessed and made safe by Itherael as well. Still, although he does good work, he is not without his vices, namely, as the archangel of fate, he does love to tempt fate. Itherael is known to have a weakness for games of chance, gambling, and street racing as of late. Anything where a single mistep can be the difference between victory and defeat gets him all worked. Not to mention during the football season, he is an absolute nightmare to be around and has to be held back to keep from changing fate just so his team will win each year. His street racing though has led to a passion for cars and even though he is an excellent driver, it is known driving with him is terrifying as a yellow light means go faster, all corners should be taken with a drift, and his need for speed is second to none. When he is back at base, he enjoys spending time with the other archangels and often likes to arrange to do things with them, even if some of the members would rather pass. In recent years, he's been at base more often to spend time with younger angels and help instruct them on proper management of the records and in investigating strange legends and the like. Overall,  laid-back in personality most of the time, prone to indecision at times, but overall always does his best to oust the forces of evil. Please note though he is strangely a stickler for grammar and will correct errors when he hears or sees them and has been known to deface property to “correct” errors.
Blackmarks: Excessive gambling, cheating while gambling (claims that he can't help fate is in his favor), street-racing, speeding, running red lights, double-parking, robbing museums (claims of returning relics back to their proper homelands is not stealing), late library fees,  disturbance of the peace via angry cursing (his sports team lost...),  revealing angel form in public without just cause, minor cases of collateral damage, correcting people's grammar while they are talking and defacing public property.

Progress post on my Tianshu Map TM
I’m debating shifting the Bai-gongzi cast to where I plan to draw the Ghost Bridegroom characters, because Feng Shiqi and Qiu Xiaohan would probably better fit near the Former Sweetheart cast... I might also have to resize things because I’m not sure if I can fit everyone I want to fit. I also haven’t finished reading Ghost Bridegroom, so I’m not sure who I’ll be adding other than Bi Qianren, Zhuge Qingtian and the two ghosts (yes I forgot their names). On the other hand, I think I should have enough space for the grassfucker novel, I’ll just be drawing Shi Ying, Gu Yusheng, Shen Fengyuan and Tian Fangzi... Maybe I’ll fit Su Ge in somewhere for The Protagonist Makes You Retreat About 30 Miles?
Honestly this is making me want to reread Tianshu novels again... I say, having not finished two of them
