Peryite is such an underrated daedric prince to me, conceptually. His sphere of influence has so much potential to explore. Like, disease and the natural order together? The way his followers see disease as a blessing? I love the implications there alone. He's the weakest prince, but his sphere has the potential to be so subtly destructive. One of his symbols, skeevers, represents that so well. The series has been kinda meh at exploring the princes philosophically but I feel like they are right on the cusp of something interesting with him, but since he isn't as flashy or obviously "bad" (or sexy) as the other ones he keeps getting put on the backburner. Gimme an interesting Peryite storyline pretty please. Explore things a little

"It's just you now. Take care of mother."
i have the normal amount of emotions about them (lying) <3
#a redraw but also not really cus i ended up tracing a lot from the old one hfldsjdfs#it was only supposed to be for reference but i ended up keep messing w it instead of redrawing it proper......#feel like i got his expression down better in the old one; looks more strained/ hearbroken like i feel#but thats fine#my art#my ocs#oc: liam hawke#i'm still not sure if liam or varric is the one who deals the killing blow#love both the thought of liam having his own sisters blood on his hands and never being able to wash it off fully#or his (future) best friend saving him that fate but now having that stand between them#cus liam would be grateful for it but part of him would always remember that and hold it against him#(both options also make the bartrand encounter crunchy in slightly different ways)#either way in that moment he kind of hates varric for even just being there. and fenris too#(though tbh im not sure how realistic it would be for him to take sb else except bethy and varric down into the deep roads)#((so maybe in canon fen wouldnt be there idk. havent decided this yet either))#logically he knows its not fair ofc but it just feels like an invasion of privacy. it feels Wrong.#they have no place in this they shouldnt have been there they shouldnt have been part of it they shouldnt have seen him like this#but its sth that binds them too#the rest of the trek is miserable and awkward for all of them in any case#but yeah.#idk if they would be able to bury her down here properly so maybe they end up doing it via lava?#theyre not leaving her body out in the open to rot and/or become food for darkspawn or spiders thats for sure

Same anon- wasnt trying to imply that with blossom either! Just wanted to say that it could've been read that way and could be triggering to some, and the fact that no one speaks up felt off, even if its against the code. I've never read the more recent books either, so by the way the posts were spaced it felt like the series goes Df battle > Tempest > Ashfur in the span of a few moons, meaning blossom went from one horrible event to another and was still feeling isolated and shameful. Sorry if anything came off as confrontational or mean!
As for the 'why dont they leave?' thing, I think we all default to how Ravenpaw actually DOES leave and we just apply the same logic. As humans we naturally draw connections, and if we see a situation where a whole clan turns on one cat, we ask why didn't they just do what Ravenpaw (or Dovewing iirc) did and decide they can't deal with this and it's better to move on. It's a pattern that we itch to see fulfilled: Tigerclaw turns everyone on Ravenpaw so he leaves, Dovewing gets her whole clan telling her to do better so she leaves, Blossomfall gets named as a traitor and repeatedly gets dishonor titles to remind her of all her faults- why do cat not leave???
But yeah, if Blossom got to heal, i retract my statement entirely. I just was going off the logic that she felt isolated/cut off and that being told she's better off invisible would just shove her further into that belief. I do wanna ask, do you know what the thing Blossom spoke up about that got her slapped with the title?
Ah, I see! Let me clear up the order of events so far;
ThunderClan's Tempest, shortly after the Great Battle, dealing with the Clan moving on. Contains some parts of the canonical Dovewing's Silence but mostly Bramblestar's Storm
AVOS, with Blossomfall joining the Kin and being rescued sometime towards the end. Still working out some kind of incident where her kits are either stolen, or have to be retrieved-- the sire is not known
Squirrelflight’s Horror, a book about how Bramblestar turns a tense political situation into an excuse to leverage his power to abuse his deputy after feeling slighted.
TBC, which is at least a year after AVOS, with all of Blossomfall's children now being young warriors and her life coming back into order
So Blossomfall is having a pretty long journey here! Her life has been rocky and she can be a really nasty person, but she was brought back into ThunderClan because she is still loved. There are people who really want to see her get better.
And as for when she gets Clearface'd, I'm torn on it either being the first sign and SUPER shocking because it was just the normal amount of Blossom-sass, OR it coming right after the death of Bristlefrost and she argued that
"Bristlefrost was a codebreaker but who cares! She was a warrior of ThunderClan! There's no way that StarClan--"
And then interrupted and quashed with the title.
So, first option, to demonstrate Bramblefake's new level of malice at the earliest possible point and use Bristlefrost's death as the "turning point" of the arc where cruelty becomes violence,
Or, as a direct response to Bristlefrost's death, and the moment where there begins to be suspicion, because Bramblestar is NOT this good at naming.

i love it is kinda ambiguous what Fjord and Jester do with their time year-round, especially Fjord, and how their time is divided bc Jester's studio is said to be inspired by Veth's camp, iirc, so like how much of the year does that take up when the camp is a couple of months. And it is unclear what Fjord is doing day-to-day.
I've been saying since the campaign ended but especially since the start of the two-shot, fully like guys, @ especially Fjord, rotate your months: handful of weeks in port, handful of weeks sailing.
excited to work with this as a thought in the future

Ghiaccio's White Album is probably a really convenient Stand to have around with Grateful Dead. I imagine he could keep the rest of the group from aging so it can specifically kill the target while keeping the members of La Squadra safe from harm's way. (I kinda wonder what the Grateful Dead fight would've looked like with Ghiaccio there or what missions would look like with him and Prosciutto paired up instead. There would be no need for the freakout over losing ice cubes and Bruno's group would probably try to use the freezing ability as refuge only for Ghiaccio to go "Ha! No, sucker!" and reverse the effect or just start freezing them to death or something)
#rambles#short posts#i complain about VA's writing a lot but i will say i genuinely enjoy the stand abilities and fights (besides the final fight but yknow)#stand abilities evolve a lot throughout the series. in part 3 they were very simplistic and kind of dull/forgettable#you can tell the series was still working out stand logic and what it wanted to do with them#parts 6 and 7 are kind of mixed bags for me- some abilities are cool and others just got weird#(complicated abilities can make for cool fights but IMO if you need several pages of exposition to make the power sensical...#it's probably not a very good power)#and i'd say part 8 missed more than it hit when it came to stands. some of them were cool but others were overly complex to the point-#-of looping back around to being boring and just making me want to skim the fight to the end#but parts 4 & 5 hit a sweet spot of just unique enough to be very jojo and make for some cool fights but also understandable and fun#i remember when i first watched part 5 and thought ''cool!!'' to myself when i saw the abilities and how they were used#you did have the whole problem with king crimson being confusing and all but that's not really a problem with the ability itself#more the fact that it was hard to communicate its ability via manga format which i could do a whole ramble about tbh sdjfksld#though some descriptions of KC get contradictory to how it behaves in-universe which is annoying#and also it was too powerful for the characters to defeat which is why the requiem stuff had to happen which is really annoying#but umm i digress

I love how much Sarada just basically loves and respects Naruto as a person. Like it was programmed into Sasuke’s genes and he unknowingly passed it on to his child and it got triggered in Sarada just by Naruto being the kind, loving, empathetic person that he is. Sasuke is looking at his kid who’s practically fawning over Naruto and he’s like “same kiddo”. I will carry this fact into every version of them that I write. Just Sarada basically just gushing about how awesome Naruto is after every interaction they have and while Sasuke is a bit emotionally stunted and unsure of how to be a father this is one similarity he has with child that he can absolutely use to bond over with her.
Sasuke should just spend his quality time with his daughter just talking about Naruto over custard taiyaki and she’d be in bliss.

idk if this is gonna be a weird ask but i send in a lot of anonymous asks bc im worried if theyre not anonymous oomfs will see me obikinposting bc i know a bunch of them think its Bad and Problematic but then its like. an ask. on Your acc. like if they see it its like. mf why were YOU at the witches sacrament yk ? anyways idk its something im anxious about a lot and idk IDK thank u love u bye hope the mouse leaves u alone (i would recommend a glue mouse trap and some cheese) (and someone for emotional support)
dude i promise i never ever question my anonymous asks. send as many as you want!!! send one from your account that says 'just message me to respond' and i will! i love getting anons and tbh i love sending anons and i literally do it all the time - tumblr's new rule about having people have to have a tumblr account to send anons sorta sucks tbh cause i always thought of my anons as being a mix of ao3 users/twitter users/tumblr users, but now, alas....
but point is---no reason for sending an anon ask is weird or stupid. and if you ever want to send a non-anon ask but you're worried about people being stupid, just let me know to reply on the side. people can be weird about things, and i know obikin gets a lot of hate.
but you should enjoy what you like anyway. because you like it. and it's cool and metaphoric and like. hot as hell to imagine and what else do you need????

even though i wish it was possible to keep both sou and alice alive for more lore on the story, it does actually make sense why they’re restricted to their specific routes!
of course, for context, we need to acknowledge the significant choice just before the main game as well.
to keep reko alive, you follow your logic. you kill her doll because it is “just a doll.” you have to hope that the real reko hasn’t been harmed from this choice, or harmed before the final attraction began at all - because that was the last essence of her. and alice knows it, and runs toward his death because he’s so desperate to make sure his sister is alive - that sliver of hope... and maybe, he was able to see her one last time depending on your previous choices.
to keep alice alive, you’re following emotion in the last moments of the final attraction. reko - even with the ai - can cry and she’s begging for you to save her, she’s insisting she’s still human. and unfortunately, keeping her alive when she’s so desperate to live results in the human reko’s death because the floormasters state it plainly: we don’t need two reko yabusames. and alice lives on alone, with little reason to keep his information concealed now that the person he was trying to protect from the crossfire is gone.
reko & sou is the true logic route, by this.
reko’s arc, by all means, occurred before the death game. chapter two explores this in incredible depth and ties it directly to the game’s core question through the reko ai. there isn’t much else she can add now, so to keep her alive will balance the grim nature of the death game, but...within the story as it is now? she doesn’t know as much as alice would. her death would be the next necessary one to keep the story going without interfering with current plot lines. it’s unfortunate, but it makes more sense in this context than alice dying.
there’s also a nice contrast where you’re again proven through ranmaru, kurumada, and mai especially - dolls are practically perfect replications of their original base. you have never known the original version, so to you, these dolls are just as real as the real person. and you’re forced to confront that with the memory that you killed the doll reko.
then, alice & kanna is the true emotion route.
sara has had her hope restored thanks to sou’s final act, his offer of reconciliation, and because of this, she is able to keep her composure for the most part. ranmaru isn’t driven to kill the yabusame in his attempt to reassure her that she can live, and i’m sure even if nao had made her appearance (as is in the cut dialogue) to taunt sara, that she would be able to regain herself and move forward with [yabusame] support. maybe there’d be a talk here where instead of sara getting completely caught in her head [i don’t want to die], that she was able to regain herself and tell ranmaru firmly that she didn’t want to see that happen to anyone else, ever again.
*whereas for the logic route, she’s lost the connection she formed with the others through joe (that is why he was a detriment, bc of his social affinity, he formed the bridge and unintentionally ensured she’d be closer to the others throughout chapter 1. and especially when he offered support toward in his last moments...), and with keiji missing (who, despite jou’s initial suspicion, was someone who sara herself sought out to try to find the truth of. this was one of the few where she made the active choice to stay with him & he had offered support and empathy...the rest were generally ones who reached out to her first, if that makes sense. so this relationship still holds significance, but the other relationships after jou was forgotten ended up losing a lot of weight in her mind.)
ALTERNATIVELY! if nao shows up, it could be an emotion-route ONLY thing on hiyori’s part. he’s seeing that sara is regaining her strength, and tries to use this to knock her down again, to break her and force her back to that mindset. however, it still keeps ranmaru from taking any drastic action because he’s forced to see that [yabusame] is genuinely a source of support and can empathize with her over unfairly losing someone to the sacrifice card, again. there are a lot of ways this could be used! and i really wish it was kept - nao still deserved to hold her significance in the third chapter, and it shouldn’t be completely overshadowed with sou and kanna’s choice now that we’re no longer in the main game.
and then of course, as the pay-off, alice is able to stay alive and provide further information on the plot. even if there is less technological advantage, alice makes up for it through the advantage on hiyori himself as a floormaster and what will unsettle him more. it’s a more personal battle. it’s also possible that reko will have some information of her own to provide, although i’m sure alice’s would be more useful throughout chapter 3-2 depending on the prison he was in...? (the prison had the asunaro symbol iirc). he could help lead a route to escape, here. while reko herself could only really help through her brief interactions with hiyori before the game began.
i know this isn’t how it goes in-game, but i think it would’ve been interesting to have the emotion route be the one where you get under hiyori’s skin. for all he’s tried taunting you with (especially if nao’s corpse is an emotion-route only threat), you’re finally able to realize that his primary support is control. when he loses control of a situation, his grip begins to slip. it would proceed as it did in chapter 3-1b currently.
then, for logic route, it could be possible that there was another way that the system of the “banquet” roulette was overwritten with sou’s expertise now that he realized gin was in danger. even if he doesn’t care for the group as a whole, it would cement that he still has to contribute if he doesn’t want another child dead (and prove that he still hardly trusts sara and keiji after the events of last chapter, and with the [yabusame] death where ranmaru claims it was for sara. the distrust is embedded), and it would create a fun change that also serves to prove sou’s use here! because the reason you would keep him alive is for the logical reason - he has more skills than kanna did. and this could be a good place to showcase it and also give that sort of...revenge against hiyori? he’s got a more personal vendetta now that hiyori’s part in asunaro has been confirmed & hiyori made light of kanna’s death & after witnessing hiyori’s treatment of maple, especially with the lines littered throughout the chapter of his own manipulative relationship with sou (regardless of personal reasoning that hiyori sees it as, and the fact that tsukimi really did grow into the role hiyori set him up for to make him “stronger”)
hmmm i’ve gone on. but tl;dr i think it’d be interesting to have more significant differences between the route that is chosen! and even if these are the preferred choices for “true” logic/emotion routes, it’s nice that it isn’t something that has to be stuck to when you continue the plot. in this scenario, sou and kanna still remains as the big choice in how the plot would go (especially with sou’s use & the group’s dynamic), but it’s still possible to choose something for more specific information regarding the yabusames! they’re still an important choice and i only wish it was expanded on more, although i’m sure i’ll learn to be content with what is presented as it continues.

ok final verdict tiger and bunny 2 is really good and a huge improvement on the og HOWEVER. lunatic's ending was bizzare rushed depressing and went against everything his arc was pointing to. like it felt like some hayes code contrived bullshit
#he did not have to die and thematically should not have died#like his whole arc was changing his view on heroism so why was the ending just his og stance taken to its logical conclusion#also i keep refering to lunatic w fem pronouns in my head lol girlie looks eggy#but yea her ending should have been changing to heroism for the sake of saving ppl rather than punishing them#and not punishing herself#like who thought having her kill herself bc the ghost of her abusive dead dad told her to was a good idea#also she should have transitioned and started going by luna bc thats fucking cute ty kotetsu#tbh i think her arc was planned to be longer but the writers realized they didnt have time for it so. sorry mentally ill abused girlie#ur killing urself#OUTSIDE of that though i liked everything else#could have used an extra episode or two though#suicide mention#i got emotional at the taibani end but my brain was chewing too hard on the lunatic stuff for it to actually hit#they shoulda been a trio#ACTUALLY one more thing kotetsu barely ever used his power he could absolutely keep being a hero without it#and we should have like had an afterwards where he like advocates for useless NEXT rights#or something#once again it feels like this show was made to explore way different things than it does#like its not built for the racism allegory sorry it just doesnt work well#theres an argument for it being disability/ neurodivergence but it really just felt like a race thing#also rip fire emblem lmao she got hit w every kind of discrimination in that universe#sucks shes an oil baron#tiger and bunny spoilers
