I love how much Sarada just basically loves and respects Naruto as a person. Like it was programmed into Sasuke’s genes and he unknowingly passed it on to his child and it got triggered in Sarada just by Naruto being the kind, loving, empathetic person that he is. Sasuke is looking at his kid who’s practically fawning over Naruto and he’s like “same kiddo”. I will carry this fact into every version of them that I write. Just Sarada basically just gushing about how awesome Naruto is after every interaction they have and while Sasuke is a bit emotionally stunted and unsure of how to be a father this is one similarity he has with child that he can absolutely use to bond over with her.

Sasuke should just spend his quality time with his daughter just talking about Naruto over custard taiyaki and she’d be in bliss.

Last time I asked about anime recommendations and it was nice to add some to my list.

I love your Kakashi art, your Sasori art and I am happy about it, tbh.

When I was younger, I used to like the idea of Kakashi and Tsunade instead of Jiraeya, cause I felt like he waited to long for her and those two are more fierce.

And I also ship Sakura with Sasori and Gaara.

I feel like the pink and red is just so aesthetic and even tho I liked Sakura and Sasuke individually, I wanted to see her with Gaara, cause is also strong, similar to Sasuke but a healed and mature, caring person while Sasuke was heartbroken and focused on revenge cause of Itachi, Madara, Obito etc

Plus, she wanted to be like a doctor, she is a healer and I imagine that she'd heal Gaara heart.

But Sasori is like her assigned enemy, some people view her as the protagonist kind version of Konan, but I do not see it.

Deidara goes for Sasuke, Sasori for Sakura and from what I remember, Naruto goes against Pain.

I wanted to ask what are your opinions of Naruto and Boruto.

Hiii! Thank you for sharing your opinion. I hope you are then ready for my essay below :3 I don't watch Boruto so will only talk about Naruto.

My all-time favourite characters are Kakashi, Zabuza, Sasori, Tsunade. I fell for them as a dumb teenager and carried my love for them through the ages. Can't explain why, they are very hot, strong and at the same time weak, have an emotional baggage that is interesting to explore. Plus they are not the main characters, I really like that. I also very much like Konan, Jiraiya, Sakura and Kisame.

The character I don't like is definitely Minato. He's this sunshine boy (which I don't like to begin with) who fails, and fails badly. But no one really gives him a hard time and he doesnt acknowledgeit himself. I think he's lacking the character, so-called oomph, so looks very boring to me, I guess. I also don't like Obito, another sunshine boy (initially). Too much energy, too hard to handle. And probably any Uchiha in general are not my fave.

When it comes to drawing, I always prefer drawing women. Sakura, Ino, Tsunade and Rin are the ones I draw most, but I honestly like all of them when it comes to making pretty arts.

Kakashi has always been a person who I aspired to be since I was 13. I did relate with Sakura when I rewatched naruto in my mid twenties, felt that we both grew up together.

I generally don't find the appeal of canon ships. It feels like there's no magic. I'm always interested in the 'first' events, and allt he firsts in canon are kind of done. For non canon ships, I have plenty. Kakasaku, Sasosaku, Inosaku, Zabukaka, Kisasaku, Kakatsu, Jiratsu, Kakarin, Shisaku.. the list can go on!

Hi. I was wondering, seeing as TS approaches in Boruto (not following it much, tbh) and people talking about characters' future powers, if I'm the only one who doesn't want Sarada to have Byakugō seal? Give her MS, other power ups, etc., but the seal sounds forced to me. Even Shizune couldn't achieve it, and Sarada has/d problems with chakra control but then again, she copied (?) it from Sakura. I know she'll surpass her, like Sakura did with Tsunade, but I hope it's without the seal :/

Chakra control or strength can't be copied, just elemental ninjutsu and movements.

I don't want Sarada to form the Byakugō either, especially because it's heavily and conceptually tied to the ability to summon Katsuyu, and so far there are no indications of a new Three-Way Deadlock in the making. Especially when the current Sannin are very pathetic and lacking.

There's one big issue with Sarada and her chakra control that is contradictory from the manga and anime perspectives that could influence any seal. Let's start with the basics.

Sarada can use chakra enhanced strength. This super-human power is a form of medical ninjutsu. It's a more delicate way to control chakra and release it all at once in any part of the body, normally the hands, that is derived from very advanced medical ninjutsu skills. So, if the user can perform really advanced healing procedures, they can use chakra enhanced strength.

Directing a desired amount of chakra to one part of the body and then release it all at once is the key to chakra enhanced strength, and the key to complete the Strength of a Hundred Seal too. The chakra is continuously being redirected to one single part of the body for a very long time. The Byakugō is the pinnacle of chakra control because of its difficulty.

It's why only Sakura and Tsunade can use this type of chakra control, and not Shizune, who trained under the Fifth Hokage too.

Now there's a big however, and this is a big contradiction.

First, Sarada's chakra enhanced strength seems to be entirely inherited from her mother.

Imagine it like Sasuke passing down his Sharingan, Sakura passed down her strength to her daughter. Because the 11 year old Sarada unleashed her fist completely by surprise in Gaiden without training, without knowlegde and still in the Academy. It's why Sarada finally understands that she's Sakura's daughter, because her mother passed down something to her. A call back to Sakura destroying the house in anger, Sarada unleashed her power in anger too.

Second, the anime spent a while trying to tell us that Sarada isn't proficient in medical ninjutsu. Then how is this possible if she can use CSE, a very superior form of chakra control that is linked to medical ninjutsu? There's that episode where Sarada can't use medical ninjutsu at all when, in fact, she should be the best of her generation because she can use CES. And then there's her attempt to heal Kagura from a stab in the heart but her medical ninjutsu was lacking so he died. Sakura saved Karin in the same situation alone and with limited chakra because she was forming the seal.

So there's a big catch. The anime then proceeds to tell you that Sarada doesn't have to use medical ninjutsu just because she's Sakura Haruno's daughter. And more episodes of Sakura telling Sarada that her chakra control is bad and that she'll train her in that.

Plus, in the manga, the medical ninja of Team 7 is Mitsuki with an above average proficiency and also superior to Inojin's, but the anime is always trying to force it on Sarada.

So her strength is just inherited and she shouldn't be able to get the Byakugō. And I say "shouldn't" because then the anime can pull whatever situation and just change everything in a few episodes.

Personally, I don't want Sarada to get Mangekyō either. Find something original for her that doesn't depend always in her parents' arsenal. Besides, the Mangekyō Sharingan isn't for Sarada, a child that unlocked her Sharingan because of positive emotions, so why are they trying to make her miserable now? That form of eye technique is full of bad experiences and Kishimoto closed his vision of Boruto with happy endings.

Darui for the Character Ask Game!

Favorite thing about him: I'm a sucker for a good electric powers haver but also he's just so good looking? maybe the fact that now he's in charge of the Cloud and I trust him very much. god I love 4A so much and how that middle aged man would literally jump out a window to get somewhere but it's nice to have a successor who has a more relaxed pace. which is funny because anyone with Lightning powers you'd generally peg as the get up and go type.

Least favorite thing about him: not a big fan of the facial hair. it looks better in the manga where it's a beard/mustache combo but just the mustache? is just not it. sorry man. also another petty thing: we have his Shippuden self in Voltage but I want the version of him that's Lord Fifth. please id like him, Chojuuro, and Kurotsuchi to go with Hokage Naruto + mature adult Kazekage Gaara. even just aesthetically it's a brain pleasing group.

BROTP: I love how much 4A trusts him. So much so that that ended up being the order of succession. and I think it was a good call.

OTP: him and C are literally married sorry I dunno what to tell people. though I think he's hooked up a few times with Chojuuro (they both have, honestly) just for fun.

NOTP: with any women because I simply think he's gay.

First headcanon: I think his successor will be Tarui rather than either of her teammates. and because I'm also sure the next Mizukage will Be Buntan AND we know Sarada wants to be Hokage, imagine the playful hostility (that isn't real hostility) in the Kage Summits at first between Lady Hokage and the two fellow leaders she once beat down. Tsuchikage Sekki + Kazekage Shinki will simply have to wait for it to relax before any work gets done. anyway yeah I think she will end up being his choice for Lady Sixth and I foresee future training between them going really well. he's a patient person and isn't going to lose his mind if something takes a while or messes up a few times, whether it's jutsu or politics.

Another headcanon: I think it was C who first made the mutual feelings actually known out in the open. clearly they both liked each other a long time but I think Darui is a bit unsure how to approach a situation like that. I also think he has a hard time figuring out how to turn people down (but always does so gently) when they ask if he's single.

One more headcanon: I'd like to think he and his beloved have adopted, and specifically teenagers who usually get passed over by families. probably fostering first then making it an official adoption. he just seems like he would make a cool dad but isn't interested in having biological children. meanwhile C just straight up had a vasectomy because he's Definitely not looking for blood related kids. even though there's no chance he would because both of them are cis gay men. Darui supported him fully because hey man you know what you want and you should be able to get it without a fight.

Unpopular opinion: what's actually unpopular with him, though? he's the unpopular part of the equation I think cuz I don't see enough of him out there. I dunno, maybe the idea that I prefer to think he's gay instead of bi, or that I think he's someone who came from a normal two parent household instead of losing one or both parents like a lot of characters have? I think he's had a pretty easy life in general, but will do anything to help those who have not that ask for help.

Fight I'd like to see: it would be cool to see how well Omoi + Karui could hold up against him. hell, throw in Samui on their side too since we know this man was close with 4A for a reason. a little friendly combat never hurt anyone anyway so have at it. tbh I'd also probably have a good time watching him try to contend with the fireball that is Atsui.

My elder brother, who send me this after we spent the whole evening nostalgic about the anime we watched as children:

Generally, I think Himawari and Shikadai should be endgame. Because, first of all, it’s very logical for the narrative (for me, I’m weird). But most importantly, it would be really cool. I would say too cool for the Boruto anime/manga. First of all, Shikadai is really important to the story, he’s a very good friend (I think the best friend) of Boruto. While Himawari is the protagonist's little sister. They are both equally important. Further, if Sarada and Boruto's relationship in some way reflects Naruto and Sasuke's relationship (although Kawaki and Boruto’s relationship does that as well), then Himawari and Shikadai’s relationship should reflect Naruto and Shikamaru’s relationship. There is an interesting thought in Shikamaru Hiden: Naruto is the sun while Shikamaru is the shadow. Shikamaru vows that he will protect this sun. (an actual quote – ‘Naruto should continue to be the sun. When the light is strong, the shadows are also strong. Someone had to bear the burden of those shadows. Shikamaru felt like that was his role. There was really no one more perfect for the job, given that his own specialty was manipulating shadows’). This dynamic is very interesting. Himawari’s very similar to Naruto, not only in appearance, she’s also that sun helps people find a bright side in themselves (like it was & maybe will be with Kawaki) or encourages them to believe in themselves again (when she helped Inojin). And her name literally means a sun flower! While Shikadai is the guy controlling the shadows. I think he would also appreciate Himawari's ability to inspire people. Also, Himawari and Shikadai have opposite temperaments. Shikadai tries to appear cold, he is calm, while Boruto's sister is very open and emotional. I think for Shikadai she is definitely the personification of the 'troublesome girl', but not quite like it was with his mother and grandmother. Yes, Himawari is very loud and hyperactive, she can also be aggressive, but of course she is very cute most of the time and won’t be that tough with Shikadai. Her kindness could help Shikadai show his sweet side. By the way, despite the opposite characters, deep down they are very similar, since both sincerely care about others, in particular about Boruto. But at the same time, this both have the potential for excellent chemistry (relationship = magnetic fields).

There are a couple more curious details: a) Hinata adores Shikadai, they communicate well, and she even asked Shikadai to look after her son. I think she would like to have such a son-in-law b) Himawari and Shikadai both have ‘princess’ mothers (women have a high status), and fathers are the main political figures in Konohagakure (Hokage and Hokage’s assistant) c) If they get married Naruto and Gaara will be relatives in some way, and this’s one of the best things that can happen d) Of all the tailed beasts, Himawari has made friends with Shukaku (perhaps this story will be continue in Sunagakure, and Shikadai will participate).

I know that Inojin obviously likes Himawari. And they have 'their moments'. It's just that I personally don't see anything special in them. And I can even imagine this weird love triangle between Inojin, Himawari and Shikadai (lol ChoCho will be happy to watch this, I swear)... And I understand that Kishimoto and Kodachi don't care about Himawari, so maybe they wont develop her character (I hate it and still hope she gets the attention she deserves). However, , ShikaHima has enormous potential. But anyway...too good to be true.

I have to admit that although I'm very fond of Sarada, I've given less thought to her than most SS fans. Scarlet Spring enraged me so much that I swore off thinking about anything after 699 💀 which sadly includes our darling Salad. So this is a nice opportunity to think about Sasuke and Sakura's daughter!

favorite thing about them - I said "determination" for Sakura and tbh I think that's the same answer for Sarada. From what (admittedly little) I've seen of her, she seems to have inherited this from her mom!

least favorite thing about them - The only thing I can honestly say that I dislike about Sarada is that she exists post 699. Which isn't at all HER fault lmao

favorite line - Idk her lines well I'm sorry!!

brOTP - I really like her dynamic with Boruto, and I could see them as bros.

OTP - I'm not familiar enough with her generation to have a true OTP, but I suspect I'd ship her with Chou Chou. They're cute af together.

nOTP - Don't have a nOTP here for obvious reasons, buuuut I don't want her with Orochimaru's kid. Mostly because I'm so freaked out by the fact that Oro reproduced somehow 😂

random headcanon - When Sasuke is old, grey, and retired, he keeps a garden (it's mostly an excuse to get homegrown tomatoes out of his own backyard) and Sarada brings him seeds for various veggies and flowers for him to plant. She usually ends up going home with a basket full of vegetables she didn't ask for... but she loves it because Sasuke gave them to her.

unpopular opinion - I think my refusal to acknowledge 699 (beyond occasional cherrypicking) is not a popular choice. A lot of folks seem to be very into canon SasuSaku+Sara family life (for good reason!) and that's just not my bag, despite enjoying Sarada as a character.

song i associate with them - "Confident" by Demi Lovato came to mind first. I like to think that as an adult, Sarada has her mother's grit and her father's confidence. Women and girls aren't really allowed to be extraordinary and acknowledge it, but if Sarada is going to be the next Hokage, she'll need to embrace her own greatness!

My favorite female character: Sarada Uchiha. Man, she is so badass.

My favorite male character: Sasuke Uchiha. If talking about new generation then its Boruto himself.

My favorite book/season/etc.: I liked the time-slip arc! It was good ngl. Also the Momoshiki arc too ^^

My favorite episode (if its a tv show): Well..... my most favorite ones are the Uchiha family wholesome moments, especially the parent and child day episode. If not wrong, it should be episode 65 (?). I too love all Naruto and Boruto wholesome moments in the episode. I don't really have anything that favorite but yeah, if talking about most favorite it should be the one where Naruto and Boruto make the big ball rasengan.

My favorite ship: SasuSaku. But if talking about the new generation ships its MitsuSara then.

A character I’d die defending: I don't really defend so many characters ngl, but mostly adult Sakura and Boruto.

A character I just can’t sympathize with: Damn Isshiki and Jigen. Just no.

A character I grew to love: I'd like to say Mitsuki. I never really considered him that much earlier, but now he is really sweet, cool and kind.

My anti otp: Sorry. I don't like BoruSara that much tbh, but tend to appreciate them at times hehehe.

mitsuki and boruto feelings

have i mentioned how much i love boruto lately? maybe a lil?

i have so many thoughts, some of them that i haven’t rambled about in these rants yet so bear with, all of the 2 people who read these! (ily btw)

boruto, is kinda.... a shitty person? like, his nindo is to never leave a friend behind, right? like he hasn’t claimed a nindo yet, but that is regardless, his ninja way. and he does that, and he does do some pretty selfless things, most of the time. but he uses evil means to accomplish this goal sometimes. like i just can’t stop thinking about how he lied to his family to go chase sasuke around and cause problems. none of that was selfless at all, until he got the mission from gaara, but that’s beside the point. originally, it was a totally self-serving purpose. and mitsuki is always looking at boruto with the cute grin he always wears with fucking stars in his eyes while boruto is saying some fucked up shit. i guess it’s like the whole “don’t tell me my fave is a psychopath. i’ve seen what he’s done, and i like it” thing. idfk what mitsuki’s damage is at this point. which is a good segue to

mitsuki. deserves. better.

themostpreciouscinnamonbuntoogoodforthisworldtoopure goodestmoonboysnakeboycatdad he is such a good character. everything about him is perfect. and yet, his whole purpose is to swoon over boruto and to save his ass because that’s his boyfriend and no one is going to hurt his boyfriend. how many times has mitsuki actually sacrified himself to save boruto, offered to sacrifice himself to save boruto, or swooped in to save the day and save boruto? i have lost track at this point. and after his disappearance arc, boruto was all “i’m gonna take the time to get to know you” and then mitsuki has never been so on the backburner as he has been since he went on that secret infiltration mission. he deserves better. the audience deserves some boruto and mitsuki bonding time. WE deserve better. but idk i think honestly at this point in the series if we get mitsuki and boruto bonding time it would probably legitimately turn romantic there’s no way around it because let’s fucking face it every word that comes out of this precious snake boy’s mouth is just dripping with pure admiration for boruto like boruto is his world boruto is his nindo boruto is his everything BORUTO’S FACE IS RIGHT NEXT TO MITSUKI’S HEAD WHILE THIS POOR WHIPPED BOY SLEEPS and i just don’t think a romance between them would be possible because idk if mitsuki is even able to directly confess his feelings and i don’t think boruto would reciprocate them, and i don’t think the writers would want gay shit idk if mitsuki is queer baiting or what someone solve this problem for me please, someone convince me that mitsuki is straight i’m begging you because this is eating away at me mitsuki will never get his boy and i don’t think he even really cares he just wants to die for boruto he doesn’t want anything else in life and i just can’t handle it. when is the last time i used punctuation? this is what boruto and mitsuki is doing to my brain ugh. how do i sort this out? it’s also probably lack of sleep tho i’m planning on sleeping right after i post this it’s been a lil while tbh.

more mitsuki thoughts before i move on to more rational thoughts. these are just wandering thoughts. mitsuki made a good prison boyfriend. high key. and mitsuki is LEGITIMATELY boruto’s ride or die. boruto is like “we’re gonna stage a prison break” and mitsuki’s like “of course we are boyfriend i’ll follow you anywhere” and idk about you but i kinda feel like mitsuki loved every second that he was whispering in boruto’s ear and plotting and scheming with his boyfriend and just generally being so close to him. i mean, he said so himself on their way home, he liked being in prison. and what did he do in prison? stick to boruto like glue the entire time. when he rushed to care for boruto when he fell ill from eating the poison fruit even though they both knew it was going to happen he was still so sad his boyfriend was sick and I was sad. also sarada told boruto he owes her a caramel machiatto when they ditched their mission to save his ass and sidetrack but that kinda felt like a slap in the face when she said caramel machiatto but anyway. mitsuki took a rain check on his iou from boruto. i believe from the bottom of my cold dead heart that what he wants more than anything is a hug like this poor boy is sprung. and when he said, with stars in his eyes and his cute lil grin “that’s so like you, boruto” i immediately said “wow, that’s so like you to say that, mitsuki” because how often does he say that? when is someone going to say that to him please someone tell me someone says that to him at some point that’s all i want spoiled please just tell me.

okay i think i got that all out of my brain. now, rational time. boruto finally awaked his karma and that’s finally become a plot point and i still have no fucking clue what karma is but guess who was THE ONLY PERSON TO NOTICE IT besides sasuke but sasuke was there and nothing gets past him tbh. oh, you guessed mitsuki? yeah i know cause duh mitsuki noticed it he’s like “oh you got that after you fought momoshiki” and i’m like of course you know that mitsuki even though you were in the hospital for all of that BECAUSE YOU SACRIFICED YOURSELF TO SAVE BORUTO. but of course you know. (i thought i was done with mitsuki SIKE this was the perfect context to bring it up so) but anywhomst, i’m really happy that boruto finally awaked his karma i think that’s what it is. and i noticed in the new opening theme, kawaki is there and i am not ready. is he coming in this arc? i have been anxiously awaiting him because i’m so scared i will hate him and he will unravel the whole show and tear apart everything that i’ve grown to love so much and i just am anxious about kawaki. and also, i noticed that mysterious figure in the opening theme, does anyone know who that is? i think it’s older boruto? why is he there? am i getting that far in boruto? i feel like i’m almost caught up and i’m sad because i’m going to run out of episodes but i’m happy because the newest season is updating NOW but i’m sad because the newest season will probably end on a gutwrenching cliffhanger maybe idk. because i’ve just been binging it so i haven’t gotten a feel for how they wrap up the seasons so i don’t really know. i just. have a lot of boruto feelings. this is becoming a regular thing for me. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I love Emotional Crisis Gaiden Sarada, and I love Ambitious Future Hokage post-Gaiden Sarada, but there's something really fun about pre-Gaiden Sarada, tbh. Like, she doesn't actually care about being a ninja - she outright says she doesn't see what the big deal is in the start of Gaiden - but she's still this serious "honor student". It's cool.

My favorite female character: Sarada.

My favorite male character: Kawaki. Shinki is a very close second and the only reason he isn’t first is bc of screen time.

My favorite book/season/etc.: i guess my favorite arc so far would have to be after the Deepa fight. It was nice to see team 7 get a taste of the more realistic sides of being a Shinobi, and taking Their training more serious. I also loved seeing the parents view of being a Shinobi. Sakura’s fear was very realistic and I was surprised they wouldn’t have shown it earlier.

My favorite episode (if its a tv show): I guess it would have to be 195, where Naruto takes Kawaki around town.

My favorite ship: of the older generation: InoSai. Of the new one: ShinkiCho

A character I’d die defending: ChoCho. With the recent Chunin fight she’s gained a lot more reapect from viewers, which is nice. She’s always been one of my favorite characters and it felt bad to see how much ppl hated her. Hopefully they'll Continue to show more of her character and everyone else will be able to see her like i do.

A character I just can’t sympathize with: tbh, any of the villains. Boruto‘s bad guys are very formidable, but aren't really good characters so I can’t sympathize with any of them.

A character I grew to love: Sakura. i neither loved nor hated her in Naruto, but I really like her in Boruto.

My anti otp: BoruSumi. I just don’t find then intriguing at all and she’ shares too many characteristics with Hinata for me.

sakura not yet having worked through the emotional fixation on sas she had throughout her entire childhood and adolescence

sasuke still struggling with not being controlled by outside forces for the first time in his life and making stupid impulsive choices at times

sasuke generally having very little experience with healthy and normal social bonds

them getting closer as naruto spends more time with hinata (and? gets married at 19?????? hello????) but still being unable to be 100% comfortable with and true to each other

naruto telling sasuke about hinatas positive pregnancy test the night before he and sakura depart for their 1 month camping trip

really unfortunate timing and bad luck that one time

also ties into sasuke not being there for uhm at least 10 years lol and not contacting his daughter DESPITE being in constant contact with naruto lmfao.. but as ive said the read is throrough and a lot so im not gonna elaborate even more on this ask BHFJDKS

Probably my absolute favorite Naruto fic. @kuriquinn is an amazing writer, and has written many great SS fics. Though this one is more focused on Sarada meeting genin Team 7, it has cute SS moments and Uchiha family moments. I definitely recommend reading this fic if you haven’t already!

This one hasn’t been updated in over a year, but it has over 40 chapters and 300K words. I love the plot progression in this one, and it definitely is worth the read.

This fic is told entirely through Karin’s POV, and I love it when I read fics from a different POV. This was well written, and you can really feel how Karin feels when she sees SS. Loved SS’s relationship in this too.

After the war, Sakura suggests a new therapy to help Sasuke heal and get better sleep. The recovering Uchiha is uncomfortable with the implications of the healing and what the fluttering in his stomach means. Cannonverse, after the war, pre-Gaiden.

My favorite SS blank period fic. I love how we start with Sasuke in the jail cell before he was set free by Kakashi to go on his redemption journey. There’s plenty Team 7 moments here, too, which I’m a sucker for, but SS’s relationship development was my favorite part of this fic. It’s sooo good.

What is there to say about Quietus that hasn’t been said already? It’s honestly a masterpiece. I found this fic in 7th grade and it’s such a long, well-written, absolutely well thought of fic. I haven’t read all of the new updates yet, but this fic has been ongoing for a while and still captures everyone’s attention including mine because of the plot, the progression, and @angel-chu‘s magnificent writing.
