aka: if thomas would sacrifice the world without hesitation to save teresa and teresa would sacrifice thomas without hesitation to save the world, which one of them is the bad guy ?

Some nights Thomas thinks he hates Teresa more than he has ever hated anyone else, thinking of the disease growing in Newt's veins and the emptiness in Minho's eyes after they got him back. He thinks of the lone survivors of the trials and of the ones that didn't make it, thinks of orphaned children around the world, and of grief-stricken people cradling their loved ones' lifeless bodies. What he does not think of is the guilt gnawing at his chest, knowing that he wouldn't hesitate to send all these people to hell and back just to hold his baby sister in his arms again. What he does not think of is how hate is a word he doesn't quite understand.

He closes his eyes trying to remember her face and sees nothing but the little girl she once was.

thomas tries to blame himself for wanting to forgive teresa but he cannot help it, still seeing her as the terrified little girl he had to protect once their family abandoned them, succumbing to sickness, because despite his memory loss, his unconditional love and protectiveness still stuck with him

summary:

I got tagged by @its-tea-time-darling to list five of my own favourite fics, so here goes, in no particular order:

It’s a real shame this isn’t porn a Thominho fic I wrote for Thominho week. Other than the awesome title, I was very happy with how the attraction worked out between them. This is not a slow burn in any way, but I promise it’s not porn (although it has smut)

Beat you to it is another Thominho week fic that I was really happy with because it was fun to work in all that running into their already antagonistic relationship. Some smut.

I’ll be there was for Thomally Week, and is a very simple plot of Gally looking forward to what he thinks and hopes is a first date with Thomas. I felt inspired when reading it. No smut

Hey there little red riding hood I wrote for Thomesa week, and has Werewolf Teresa being a little predatory towards a boy in a red hoodie. I was so ridiculously inspired when I wrote it and I thought it turned out so well. No smut

Calm is the first thing I ever wrote for the Thomally pairing, and is one of the best things I’ve written (in my own opinion of course) at least under 2K words. I played around with the idea of minimal information to maximum effect here. It was fun. No smut except in reference.

It was weird and overstepping to think she would feel the same way about him that she had in his memories. “We what?” Teresa asked curiously. Her hair shone black in the dim evening light, and Thomas was itching to touch it. He must have blushed because she laughed. “What, we were lovers or something?” Thomas blushed even more. Her laugh died out. “Oh,” she breathed. Thomas nodded, not sure he could trust his voice. For some reason he couldn’t make himself look at her.

There’s just something about a full moon night that a werewolf couldn’t explain to you if they tried. It’s a pull, an indescribable tug in the very fibre of your being that draws you out to the shadows, deep into the heart of the forest. To become something new, yet old; something that you’ve just discovered but has been there all your life. 

And there’s nothing quite like the feeling of running through the night with a pack at your side. 

That was what Teresa would have loved to be doing right now, but instead she was pacing the worn dirt clearing of the Glade’s haunt, waiting for any word about her dumbass of a boyfriend. She still couldn’t believe he’d run out there in the middle of the night, specifically to the place where Grievers were known to frequent. 

Her head jerked up as a flock of Runners returned to the camp, and she caught a whiff of Thomas’s scent as they bundled a limp figure into his den. She bounded across the haunt but stopped short as Minho slid in front of her, ears tilting backwards. “The medjacks said you can go in, but take it easy, D. He got stung pretty badly.”
