I feel like the blue team is for the record fair for feeling cheated on getting their gear and flags stolen from their safe zone but they have a misconception of the Red “cheating” to do that specially now that Bad is explaining things to Tubbo where he explains that he thinks Red “ender pearled” or glitched through somehow to get through the barrier somehow. And now Tubbo is theorizing that Philza boated through.

What does safe zone really imply? It’s clear the admins could’ve just made the barrier inaccessible to other players period but the fact that you can BUT take a lot of damage doing so means it is permissible but at your own risk. It’s the same when they implemented a safe zone for the spawn of the three teams against spawncamping but BBH’s arrows still managed to go through and Spawnkill both Jaiden and Charlie.

Red was really upset when Aypierre had enchants and that’s valid cause it feels dishonorable but frankly speaking if it’s not against server rules Aypierre has every right to do that. It won’t stop other people from labelling him dishonorable tho and it’s valid too. With dishonoring the rule unanimously agreed upon by everyone, even if blue wins because of it, it won’t feel so satisfying. But considering Aypierre only meant for it to be a precaution against Red if they decided to dishonor the rule then I can understand why. And even if he did intend to go against the rules he should not make excuses and go through with the reason. He will be antagonized(his character never the cc guys) but it’s the role he chose to play. The Blue was really upset their stuff was stolen in the safe zone when it’s supposed to be inaccessible to other teams and that’s valid too but this time, the mechanics of the safe zone is not properly laid out and it turns out other teams can infact go through but just with a heavy penalty so calling them cheater for it doesn’t seem fair but it is a dick move of them to steal the flags knowing the blue team is over tomorrow without it however Red realized how much of a dick move it was to steal their flags and decided to return it and some of the remaining armor they took.

Anyway is this a mini rant? I don’t think so but maybe it is idk… this is just my opinions on the matter tho so i don’t think it holds much to it.

Thoughts on their home life/family

im so curious what her time was like when she was all alone??? i think that's something thats fairly unexplored, is her time between her parents not being able to care for her, and her becoming self-sufficient. ultimately i dont have much to say here, i like how linuj handled her backstory, i just think it wouldve been cool to see more of it, not that there was any good place to write it in, but i love bonus modes and would like to see maybe how the dra survivors coped w/what they learned in the sixth trial in a bonus mode about how the kisa foundation became what it is now.

How i feel about their canonical writing/handling

mmm... tbh. i like rei, i think her growth from dra to sdra2 was handled well- she still feels like rei, while also serving her narrative role- ie. there's not much you can do when shawty gets exploded in the prologue and then has to play second fiddle to tsurugis viola of fucking evil. sadly, we can't do much with the kisa foundation and showing how rei and tsurugi have changed and have the pacing of the chapter still be intact, when we see rei, its mostly just her being voice of reason because someone has to give exposition on what the foundation knows while tsurugi has a meltdown. i think her development feels authentic and natural, if she maybe feels a biiit.. i dont know how to word it, but she almost feels a bit too calm? less snarky at points than i'd think she'd be, and than what i'd like to see. but again, we can explain that as being due to the role she has to play for the story.

ultimately, while not necessarily my cup of tea, i'm just not prone to latching onto characters like rei a whole lot! i def think she's handled well, oddly well for linuj in general, and v oddly well for a female character written by linuj. i like her, im just not brain rotted about her

hmmmmm... im not gonna lie i can't really think of anything? after thinking about it while i typed up. essentially the whole rest of this post, i think it'd be cool if she and kabuya were friends after sdra2. yuuki is... .... ..........lets not talk about what hes up to, syobai and iroha are just a whole fucking mess. theyre a bit busy dealing with heads in boxes. and tsurugi is just sooo normal he's too normal really.

so i think they could meet and chat about how Fucking Insane the games were, in a way that other kg survivors wouldnt get, since they didnt have to deal with divine luck and what it does to people. also seeing as akane saved rei in dra and then. ya know. Soruko. i think that'd be a interesting convo for them to have, both kinda understanding more about akane taira. i think that'd be really neat!

hm.... reikako by default of i dont think much about rei ships, and they have a significant amount of canon material. i do wonder though what their relationship was like pre-despair, it feels like a lot of the school life info we have is on utsuro or tsurugi? buuut yeah. also as kinda established i think rei is uncertain where she stands on attraction/her thoughts change a lot and. yeah. so this is less a romantic thing and moreso i want inside linujs brain so i can know what he thinks except he like. officially has stated he doesnt know shit abt sdra anymore which is SO UPSETTING

i think rei/kizuna/kiyoka could be cute!!! also i kinda just like giving akane gfs, and i don't really think they'd be that compatible, but i think if they had a weird little queercoded friendship for like. the duration of one year during their stay at hpa, and it leaves akane feeling more confident and comfortable with herself as her own person, and leaves rei with a LOT of questions, while they also never really cross the line between friends and something more, that'd be cool and fun. just normal gals being pals things.

i wish in sdra2 we saw more on the dynamic that grew between rei and mikako in dra. i think it'd be cool to see that discussed a bit more seeing how it was. mikakos in game memories that formed the basis for sora iirc.

thoughts on their design (appearance-wise)

mmm...... why the fuck did linuj use so much blue in the dra cast color palettes... i remember i had this dentist appointment that was really evil and like. literal hours longer than it was supposed to be, and to try and distract myself i went through the cast and counted who had blue in their design and who didnt. it took a long time because i was in so so so much pain but like. iirc its just mikako akane and yuki. and also mikako wears blue in ch4. so. THATS NOT RELEVANT THOUGH.

uhhhh. im not a huge fan of her outfit just because i dont like the skirt. her og design was a school uniform and i think it kinda shows and im not a huge fan of it? my brain keeps getting mixed up on the length of her skirt but yeah. its just so vibrant and pigmented and so is her hair and its like. the lower half of her fit just feels so high school uniform and i dont really like it. i think her hair is super cute in the bonus sketch (the just-woke-up one) on her character sheet tho.

i also don't really like her fit in sdra2. i think the labcoat is super nice (i like the ombre effect it looks good) and while its not too practical i dont hate the vest short skirt tights combo. but im not a fan of the color palette, its just so dark, so u have her bright hair and the bright coat, but the dark grey and black, in vertical stripes just kinda dominates it in my brain. and i don't really like it? i really dont like the grey with her hair.

she is very pretty. but im not a fan of the fits linuj puts her into

hmmm.. this is a very foreign concept to me but i dont think reis huge on music. i think for the most part she listens to songs she has memories associated with- she doesn't seem huge on the arts or. ya know. emotional connection? so i think while she wouldn't really vibe with anything particular of her own accord, listening to music which was playing when something emotional happened to her both improves the music, and also. helps her with being in touch with her emotions and letting herself feel. if that makes sense?

wow wee … if colby plays into the stuff with shea on purpose then that’s not really a good look on him. if I had a friend that constantly did shady things behind my back it would make me not want to trust them anymore. maybe colby is too nice, but still it’s wrong that someone is using him or his look to take advantage of many things involving him. i think it's good to remember that we don't know the full situation. there are definitely a lot of moving parts to this whole thing that we don't know about and haven't seen, so a lot of what any of us feel is just a really big assumption. i don't think one party is the main villain or problem, i think all of them play a role in what we see and what we don't see, and the general issues that arise.

and while shea and stas are similar in a lot of ways they are also really different.

but since you are asking about my opinion, this is what i think based off of what i have seen and know (whether or not that's the whole truth is a different story altogether).

there is a lot of layers to this - a lot of which stem from colby and end up festering from the girls, so to speak. colby likes to stir the pot, that's been made clear for a while now. even more proof when he did stuff with amber and then apologized for it, only to do it again a year later with all those tiktoks they made. the difference is, amber isn't continuing the gag behind the scenes. and most importantly, colby is signing off on what gets posted with the two of them involved since he actively participated in it.

nonetheless, colby is a shit stirrer. but at the same time, he doesn't want to be talked about/doesn't like drama. so when he stirs the pot, he only wants it to happen for the amount of time he wants it, and then he wants it to stop. but the problem is, if you get the fandom riled up you don't get to decide when they stop being upset. and that happens time and time again. he likes the attention and he likes ppl talking about him; i mean, he is a social media person, that's kinda the whole nature around being one so i don't fault him for that. but when he gets tired of it, he wants it to stop immediately. but that doesn't happen, so he gets frustrated.

another issue with colby is that he has commitment issues and attachment issues, both of which he has admitted too. both of these stem from past bad experiences with love and continue to this day. the commitment issues cause him to be flaky towards women he is interested in and not go all the way into an actual relationship with them, even tho (from the outside) that is what it seems like they are in and what he wants. so he ghosts girls pretty frequently. and the attachment issues cause him to be clingy towards and constantly crawl back even if things are done.

so while he may not want to actually be in a relationship with certain women, he'll want all the things that come with a relationship without the label. but at the same time, he's scared to be with said women, so he's always one foot in the door one foot in the grave. he wants the girl to be into him, he's made that abundantly clear that he likes when the girls are really into/obsessed with him to some degree (at least to me). but the issues that follow are basically this - they end up wanting more (bc he seems to want more too), but then he gets uncomfortable with them wanting more and thus moves on. or the other option plays out - they play house for a bit, only for the girl to lose interest, and once she does he pretends to have never wanted it anyway and is already gone.

with all of this in mind, how does this play out with shea and stas?

shea is an interesting case since she is the original, the og, of all of this shit. they have been friends with one another for years now, since 2015/16. and as i've have speculated before, i think the reason why they are as close as they are is bc i think shea was there for him when his ex broke up with him way back when. i think her (and brennen) were the two ppl that kept him together bc him and sam were not in a good spot in their friendship (something they both admitted to) and sam was preoccupied with his new relationship with kat. colby was able to rely on shea for emotional support and brennen was there to be the single, fun guy friend to go partying with.

and i think bc of this, shea and colby grew really close with one another. the problem that arises is that to me, shea was in love with him. and as the years have gone by, i go back and forth between whether or not anything happened between the two of them - whether or not they were ever really a thing. bc shea likes to argue by either saying that her and colby were currently dating circa every year but the last two or so, or that colby liked her back then and she rejected him. for years, i used to argue that i don't think they ever were a couple, but now… i'm a bit on the fence. i think their deep connection can come across as one and has probably crossed some boundaries. do i think they ever called each other bf/gf and made it official? no. but i do think they had something going on at one point secretly, and now they're just friends with a muddy past.

the problem is, fans don't know that. so they read whatever's going on with them as either a 'will they won't they' or that they are secretly together. which is also why shea can get away with telling fans they are secretly a thing bc ppl already speculate it and think it to be true. plus if it's coming from her, why shouldn't they believe it? she's one of the parties involved.

however, this ends up making colby look like either the worse boyfriend ever or just a douchebag bc he's literally hooking up with other girls while shea is telling her goonies that they are basically ready to hit the courthouse (not really but you get my gist). i mean, prime example was when they did the most recently adventure buddies in 2020. shea's fans were talking about them finally being together again or finally getting together, but around that time colby was literally WITH someone else. so either he looks like a guy that can't keep his dick in his pants, or shea is a liar.

and while i think the first is true to some extent, the second is a fact regardless.

and the reason shea gets away with a lot of this stuff is for two reasons: one, colby truly does love her as a friend and allows most of this to happen bc he's never gonna see the negative side of a person he cares about and two, bc he likes teasing the fans too and her doing it probably goes mostly unnoticed by him. i think he knows to some extent the shit shea has done, but at the same time probably not all of it; mixed with the fact that i don't think he fully cares. bc nothing she has done has been heinous or really maliciously intended (for the most part, i'm assuming, to him). not to mention, most of the ppl shea has fucked with are either fans that adore her (so they forgive easily and don't make a big stink about it), fans that become haters (bc they're spreading negativity and that's a no-no to colby) that end up leaving the fandom, or are girls in his real life that he doesn't care to lose aka any of his hookups. none of the girls he's been with over the years were serious relationships, which is why shea can be his watch dog and loom over him and basically intimidate these girls bc he doesn't see them sticking around in the first place. and the only reason the shit that happened between amber and shea didn't become a bigger deal is bc amber is a grown adult woman, unlike shea who is still playing high school games, and probably doesn't fucking care what a random girl from the mountains has to say about her.

and after all of this, i still gotta talk about stas lol

so stas…. she's a very interesting tale. bc she did a lot of the same shit shea did: talking in gcs about colby, liking ship edits, posting content only of him and her (only behind a paywall), making content with him and her in it, ect. but the difference is - he actually put distance between him and her.

this alone, proves to me, that he never had feelings for stas. or was never interested in her more than platonically.

stas came into colby's life first back in 2019, but didn't become a prominent person until 2021, and then more so in 2022. from my understanding of what other anons have told me, stas has been talking about colby/snc since 2019, and has made that connection with fans way back when even tho she wasn't even close to snc, since at the time she was just known as kat's friend.

my guess to all of the shit that happened with stas is this: i think she had feelings for colby, and kat knew. kat then tried to pair her and colby up all the time during 2022 when the core four was a thing bc she wanted to help her out and wanted stas and colby to date. however, colby was already paying attention to another girl, six flags girl, and so he was never gonna be interested in stas. stas also came in around a time when shea and colby weren't doing so hot (shea complained about not being invited to their halloween party and then later the next year was liking comments on tiktok saying that fans ruined adventure buddies, so clearly they weren't doing too well. plus she also deleted comments about him from tiktoks.) and bc of that, he got close to stas and relied on her for emotional support. this further solidified her feelings for him, and while i don't think he played into them as heavily as maybe with shea, i think stas was already sculpting out a life with him and her dating, which is why i've dubbed her the y/n fantasy. she wanted to date colby brock and get all the fame and fortune that came with that. she likes fans attention, which is why even to this day she's still posting content about him behind a paywall.

what happened after all of this played out is truly anyone's guess, bc clearly after they all came home from europe, something went sour. and not just with colby and stas, but stas and the whole group (minus sam bc sam doesn't really have opinions unless kat allows him to have them). and that's why there was a period of time when stas was shunned from snc/kat. that's why we get her telling fans that she feels abandoned, that kat ignores questions about her, that she doesn't appear in any videos, that colby deleted shipping comments about him and her (and of him and shea too - which was a first). could all of this be from the fact that stas allegedly was telling fans where they were in europe so that's why ppl were able to find them? was it the fact that her roommate was liking tweets about fandom drama and shea? was it bc her mom was posting shit too? or maybe was it bc she amped up their whole """relationship""" to fans and once malishkagate happened, fans were literally congratulating colby and her for finally coming out as a couple? who knows for certain. what i do know is, she crossed a boundary and colby put distance between her and him. which is why she has a poem insta, and why she threw a fit (and then deleted all of the tweets) on twitter when she was in vegas and colby was out on a date with a girl.

so time passed, and once stas was out of the picture, shea came right back into it. then stas and colby became cool with one another, and now all of them friends again (well, except stas and shea. that would be a very weird friendship).

where does all of this leave us?

if i am to be so blunt: i think colby is terrified to be alone, which is why he can complain about being used in one breath but in the next not cut off the ppl that are in his life that do use him. he tolerates the games shea and stas play bc he himself likes to play games. not only that, but he also likes having attention on him - not only from fans but from the girls. and they don't seem to mind giving him what he wants. he likes girls that are into him too much bc then there is the guarantee that they aren't gonna leave him. but that also comes at the price that they walk over him and cross boundaries and constantly want more from him even tho he's not interested. or maybe he is, who fucking knows.

again, i don't think a single party involved is the main problem. they all are. somedays it's shea, others it's stas. and sometimes it's colby.

all i know for certain is that i'm tired of all of this. i regret ever getting into colby's love life, truly. especially now since it's the same players time and time again. at least throw in a random girl i've never heard of before lol

Yeah there’s tons of those articles that are like is Taylor gay/straight and they all say he is bi with no evidence which is strange.

To me having two queer actors would have been better just cos it is important to the community but I don’t get viciously hating on them. Also, apparently Casey went on about don’t assume people sexualities which is a weird thing to say if they are both cishet 💀

Yeah that conversation goes beyond this movie and it has a lot of nuance. Again, I’m personally not against straight people playing queer characters, for many reasons. One being people who come out after playing those roles (which happens a lot). But it is weird to have one straight person continuously playing a lot of queer characters and not be too involve as an ally either (like nicholas seems to be). But I don’t agree to hating on them for it either. As long as the story is done well that’s what matters. In terms of representation what matters is people seeing their stories on display (which is on writing). At the end people’s sexualities are a personal thing and shouldn’t be public if they don’t want it to be public. And alex and henry are gay cis men like shdhdhd let’s be honest here they got tons of representation on it on screen unlike others in the lgbtq community. BUT all of that is complicated and I understand and respect people who disagree with those sentiments. Which is why i don’t often talk on this topic. I get all sides. And it has a lot of nuance (look at the heartstopper cast with people constantly trying to get connor’s sexuality even tho he is barely 18 and doesn’t wanna talk about it).

I think Taylor not being straight is a word of mouth, which maybe shouldn’t be dismissed. Especially with Casey saying “don’t assume it”. And if he doesn’t wanna label it or talk about it i respect it. If he knows he’s straight that’s diff, but if he doesn’t quite know I understand not wanting to talk about it. He’s an actor but the public isn’t owned an explanation of his personal feelings or journey. With Nicholas is diff because I’ve been told he has called himself an ally, meaning he seems to he straight?

All in all, I personally care more for how the movie is done, and how they depict the characters. As long as that’s done well and they pour love into the characters and their performances that’s all that matters to me personally. And that’s something i can’t judge without even a trailer out.

Edit: let me be clear. Queer out of the closet people are important for representation too. But that goes beyond casting on movies. I UNDERSTAND and respect people who wanna see these movies told by queer people, but i just PERSONALLY (feel so free to disagree) think that the story itself matters much. This is only in sexuality tho. Gender is different. I will NEVER be okay with cis people playing trans characters. And my hesitation of disliking “straight” people playing queer characters comes a lot from people who come out AFTER playing queer characters. Often saying playing those characters helped them understand themselves. It just as a lot of nuance, but i also understand and agree with arguments of people who dislike it. And this is all on acting, my opinions are diff with writers and directors. People who PRODUCE queer movies or write them SHOULD be queer. My opinion is 100% diff for straight actors on queer roles vs straight people writing and directing queer stories.

I thought about that too I may say. That SNS dynamics resembles somehow to Itachi-Sasuke one. It has some similarities yes, but Sasuke and Naruto relationship also has similarities to a lot of other relationships too.

First, from Naruto's side it's cannot be said that he imitates Sasuke just how Sasuke imitated Itachi, so -----> brothers.

Because Naruto never knew 1) blood brothers relationship 2)never raised with a figure like that in his early childhood 3)never had a "big" brother figure 4)never saw like deeply how Sasuke and Itachi relationship and dynamic was -and this is fine cause the only ones who must know this are the 2 brothers involved. This is a yes and No, Naruto knew about how Uchiha brothers relationship was, he could understand Itachi. But this is simple, the only people who would know better how a relationship works, are the people involved. No matter how close Naruto was to Sasuke. There are secrets and stuff in his bond with his brother that HE will only know and it's okay -this doesnt justify though how Sakura doesnt know absolutely anything about itachi or so-.

So, at least from naruto's side i dont see it brotherly. The true question here what about Sasuke side? Becaue he is the one with the brother involved.

Nonetheless, Sasuke dared to do with Naruto a lot of things and behaviors that I dont see at all doing with Itachi. No matter how much Sasuke loved Itachi and how much trust they have, do you think Sasuke would dared to call him Usuratonkachi?? Dobe?? There is no way, because even tho the unconditional Love is there, he hasn't got that much confidence because Itachi was also a father and mother figure.

Also, Naruto is different and yet similar to Itachi. In questions of behavior and personalities they are absolutely different, yes in terms of spirituality, conviction and ideology. Nonetheless Itachi is quiet, strategic, a bit cold, doesn't talk too much...We know how Naruto is. how can they still be put under the same label for sasuke to call them Brothers both?

If Naruto even looked the same as Itachi, doesn't matter either cause there is this thing. THEY ARE NOT RELATED BY BLOOD, they werent even raised together, and Naruto is even younger than Sasuke so there is no way that Naruto could play a Big brother role as Itachi.

And Sasuke knew and was raised with THIS Itachi. Itachi finally lets say adopted his role as big brother on his final moments, but he also embraced his old parental figure showing Sasuke his unconditional Love no matter whatever happens or the paths he takes.

-Now this is from my cultural perspective, i dont know how in Asia mother-child dynamics are. But that kind of unconditional Love and Forgiving is very reserved to the Mother and Father. The difference here between Itachi and Naruto, and also Between Sasuke and Naruto, is that the Uchihas were related by blood. There was some .lets say, moral obligation that also tied them since they were family after all.

Who did the same to him? And i may say in the same position.

But also when Naruto meets Kushina, we know how Sasuke protective behavior towards Naruto is very similar to Kushina's. A mother too.

Because is a question of the representations(specially the ones we grew up with aka our home) we had in life, and we move/translate them to make other ones, specially when we talk about the person who would be by your side eternally.

This is also why I will always say why Sasuke and Sakura, and also Hinata and Naruto couples doesnt work and wont work either , at least these girls change...Because what kind of representations can these 2 boys- that they alread found in one another- in 2 girls?

I'm curious about something and and I feel like you're the person to ask- I didn't follow news and the cast post season 1 because of how it ended, so I missed a lot of the interviews/promos.

My question is, were the cast as enthusiastic about S2 as they seem to be for S3? I have a feeling they weren't but I'm not sure.

Uhm... that's a bit tricky to answer.

Let's see, post S1 (May 16, 2019), there was a M/M promo event with Vlamis and Heather at the Upfronts in Chicago.

It wasn't bad per se, but also not great (imo), and Vlam never was near the level of enthusiasm he's always displayed for Malex. He tried very hard to hype that ship, he also did his best to establish Heather as a "leading lady", stuff like that, but some of the things he said also felt like he was just repeating CAM's talking points (not sure if that's the case, just my impression).

That continued a month later at ATX (CAM was there, also Lily, Heather, Vlam, Trevor, and Karan). I think it was there that unfortunate comments were made (like talking Malex down, label them as "problematic" etc., he apologized for that later) in order to hype M/M. As expected, that didn't go down well with the fans. And again, with CAM being there, things felt a bit... stilted?

I mean, we all know how she loved to "joke" about firing actors for saying the "wrong" thing in interviews, and it always seemed like some of the actors felt the need to credit her for her writing and stuff (Vlam in particular, the poor guy made so many pro CAM comments in interviews and made shoutout posts about her on social media - and she kept "lusting" after him in comments/story reposts, just from an outside POV it felt super YIKES, I'm sure if the roles had been reversed - male showrunner/female lead - it would've been more clear how inappropriate some of her comments were)...

Anyway, fast forward to October 2019, when Vlamburn, Lily, Jeanine, Nathan, CAM, and Chris Hollier attended New York Comic-Con. It was a fun event overall, and the cast seemed excited (it was around the time they were filming or had just wrapped 2x05 iirc). There was very little (if any? 🤔) talk about M/M anymore tho, it's like that ship never happened, or was never going to happen in the future. We'd already been fed some Malex bts content via CAM before NYCC, and while Vlamburn didn't have any joint interviews, there was lots (AND LOTS) of incredible Vlamburn content coming from that event.

They all had an on-stage panel that day, and it was good fun. I would say that there was genuine enthusiasm but alsonothing out of the ordinary, y'know.

Then there was aTVfest in February 2020 with CAM, Trevino, Nathan, and Heather. I don't really recall much from that one tbh, probably because nothing overly exciting happened? IDK.

Another time jump to the Cast 4 Good (virtual) panel in April 2020. Another event where a "say the wrong thing and I'll have to fire you" comment was made, and famously, Tyler looked like this when CAM talked about 2x06...

It's also the event where he talked about how he wanted Malex to have a "really nice gay relationship on TV" going forward, and during a 1:1 call afterward, he said this.

And honestly, the cast during that panel seemed... IDK, a little stilted, a little awkward, a little subdued? Could've been the pandemic, but I always felt like CAM's "looming" presence also played a part in that. Who knows.

The panel yesterday was such a happy and light-hearted event in contrast. I mean, it's no secret that I'm not a fan of CAM, and maybe I'm putting too much blame on her (for "ruining" the mood and making people uncomfortable), but some of my dislike is definitely rooted in how uncomfortable it always made me watching her talk to and interact with her cast, so there's definitely bias on my end, and probably a certain unfairness. WHO CARES, SHE'S GOOOOONE!

Imo the enthusiasm this season is different and to me at least, it feels more genuine than ever. Jeanine in particular seems to be so happy, she and Lily have both talked about how collaborative things have been this season.

I'm sure that Chris Hollier can make final decisions when it's necessary (he's "the boss" after all), but just from hearing him talk, he comes across as someone who genuinely loves and cares about the characters and the stories they're telling, and also as someone who enjoys the creation of the show as a collaborative process.

Like, he doesn't treat the show as "his show, and his alone", it's "their" show, and everyone plays a part in creating it, and everyone's input is welcome (and sometimes that input is even incorporated in the show - like Isobel's 3x13 speech Lily mostly wrote herself).

None of us have detailed insight into how things were going before, and at least Lily's talked about being able to bring ideas up with the writers (or rather CAM), but this season things still feel different. At least to me, and imo the cast is much more enthusiastic about S3 than they were about S2.

All of the above is obviously my personal impression (and maybe my pandemic brain also got hazy on some of the details, my apologies if that's the case), and I don't claim to be right about any of it. Just, take it with a grain of salt and keep in mind that I'm definitely not a CAM fan, and her mere absence from everything is putting a spring in my step already. xD

Tim as Starling, What does Nightwing consider him? Spiritually a son? Nephew? Little Brother in law?

That is a very good question!! It’s honestly something I’m still trying to figure out; I know I definitely want Kori to consider Tim like family (pretty much a little brother, tho I think Kori also fills a pivotal guardian/caretaker role as well since Tim’s parents are so often out of the picture), and I think it would be cute if the bat kids kind of see him like a cousin (one you see a lot and are super close with!), but that does leave me wondering what role Dick would fill exactly 🤔 Idk if I’m going to have Dick and Kori in a relationship in this au (maybe in the past but not current?) but they’re still super close friends so Dick takes on a big role in Tim’s life too; he starts helping Tim train in self defense (once he learns that Tim is fully human and not actually related to Kori in any way+I thought that would be a fun way for Timmy to still get ‘bat training” w/o being robin), gets very invested in his life and well being, and will often let Tim stay with him when Kori needs to travel/be out of town. Dicks experience/relationship with Tim even helps smooth out his relationship with Jason since it’s given him more “Big Brother” experience; and since he’s now very invested in making sure Tim has a healthy and well balanced life, he’s adamant on getting him friends and immediately sets up play dates with Tim and Jay lol. (This au will be pushing my Jason and Tim best friend agenda 😤 🙏 )

It can be really difficult sometimes to put hard labels on relationships created in a found family dynamic, because I think a person can fill many roles in these types of situations! Tbh if anyone wants to put in their own 2 cents/ideas I am all ears 👀

Also, since I couldn’t really give you a concrete answer, I offer this little comic I scribbled out about Dick and Tim’s first meeting (Dick ‘breaks into’ Kori’s apartment, almost face plants on the floor, pulls off a wicked save, and almost has a heart attack to see a whole child in his friends living room skshdj 😂 and yes Dick has long hair, I couldn’t resist haha)

uhmmmmm so basic of lly? i get it now. i Understand and i Know. know what, you might ask.

after ep 14 i did nothing but pace around my house like an excitable fool and while doing so jimmied open my brain cells long enough to finally connect the pieces of knife’s character so liek,,,, here’s a really shitty character analysis for anyone who has trouble writing him like i do dhfgdfhjf **disclaimer: idk how to write a character analysis

1. Da Basics so! knife! what’s up with him? well im here to tell you! he is a bastard nd i like him so much. from the official wiki descriptions we know he is a “ surface level jerk...  with his brash attitude and tendency to bully the other competitors” but then had this turn around in s2 after everyone was like “hey,,, u should be nicer”. there’s more to it but I Will Get There. anyhow the flats of his personality really is him being a dickhead to cover up those soft bits he doesn’t know how to express because he compartmentalizes all the time. who doesn’t do that tho lmao 

2. Da Beginning of a Parable   right now you’re probably thinking “wow rib! that sucked we already knew all that” well watch this *goes stupid goes crazy.* in a show that’s all about the contestants, the only way you can really understand Anyone is to pick apart how they interact with others and in knife’s case he does so Very Specifically. how it works is that so far every major interaction he’s had tends to culminate until it hits a breaking point. for example *points at trophy.* everything that happened there is where i like to mark the start of his character arc. da bully? has become da bullied. it doesn’t last very long but having his softer interests- like dora- exposed, mocked, and then held against him shakes knife up to the very least. having him mention how bad trophy’s blackmail was ten or so episodes later really drives in how Much it stuck with him. it wasn’t the senseless violence he was used too and kind of forced him to realize that “oh shit,,,,,,,, people can?? interact with me???” in ways that got under the walls he set up. *points at nickel nd suitcase* these guys? also reinforced that newborn view he’s looking at. like,,,, he’s still a complete ass and doesn’t quite, Get it? and he doesn’t even know that he’s in a character arc yet but i can confidently say the sarcasm and “random act of kindness” shifted something drastically in him, solely because of how understated these traits are. the biggest issue with seeing knife’s trajectory is the subtlety in it. he is absolutely one of the most subtle characters in the show; his growth shown in snippets, pushed aside for bigger storylines and hidden under his brash nature. he still hides the soft intentions under the asshole and that’s important to remember, but it’s also important to remember that the soft intentions is what you need to focus on.

3. Then Why Is He Acting Like That Now its the subtlety babey!!! its also the compartmentalizing in action. he’s always pushed things into boxes and labels, ie “bully”, “jock”, “nerd”, whatever. in the newest ep he’s doing just that. if you recall, any major external conflict he might’ve had was resolved suuuuper early in the season, so knife has had no way to conflate his problems with the show, unlike other characters. he did all his diagnostics running on the Down Low, influenced by the idea that other characters might know what’s going on in his noggin and then saying “no thanks” to that, all while taking in their advice at the same time. he’s a “take don’t give” kinda guy (except not all the time but I Will Get There). hell, taco technically wasn’t part of the show Either. so basically, his issues? are all internal and ii is really just that to him. a game. y’all might remember a previous post that i made and subsequently lost in the void when i deleted, but when i compared mephone’s memories to the players current situations and then couldn’t for the LIFE of me figure out how knife’s played into it, i was actually lying. my guy’s general “trash” feelings over the show was, at this point, him actually taking it seriously for once. knife got done being “open” once microphone eliminated herself, and it’s back to being selfish because any internal ties, as small as they were, have wrapped themselves up neatly. all that’s left is the game, and gosh darn he really believes he’s got a shot at winning it

4. He Is Not Immune To Being Soft However this is how knickle can still w- “ok then rib, what’s going on in the inside then, huh??” glad you asked! knife has gained delicacy. after suitcase he really did decide to Stop being so thick and actually look at things now, taking up the role of an asshole observer- sort of like mepad in a sense. he got,,, perceptive, coupled with his personal sense of sectionalizing. in the end he likes,,, maybe, three other people, and that influences how he carries any interactions he has later in the series. suitcase? is a ok in his book, and he does give her genuine advice a couple times. microphone is a fairly complex situation that picks up in his box mindset. pickle? hallelujah thats knife’s favorite guy. i can’t say for sure Why he’s knife’s favorite guy but really, there’s no heterosexual explanation on why pickle was the absolute axis of knife’s turning point. ep seven honestly truly is the head of knife’s change overall actually. his random act of kindness Here branches off into any kindness he does Later. suitcase manages to keep up in his head, and microphone probably reminds him of pickle- especially with the similarities of their situations, which is why he pokes and prods at her so much. it’s his very knife way of being nice, it’s him saying “hey, taco? isn’t worth it”. its that hard shell under currented by his arc of playing fair. knife still 100% has a ways to go (apology to marsh in my mouth pls pls pls-) but i can’t wait to see how his one trackedness plays out from here

Thanks anon for being real thoughtful here, it made me 8000% more willing to engage!✨ I do wanna point out that my feelings on this are influenced by the fact that I am cis, that I find comfort and delight in my womanhood esp how it intersects with my lesbianism, and that someone who is not cis very well might feel differently than me about this but that doesn’t diminish their validity in any way!

I don’t think you’re missing anything by looking at the pics and just seeing dan, I think that’s lovely actually and definitely what i see too, like “there’s my boy🥰 there he is! Look at him go!” And I don’t know if it’s something you really have to worry too much about grasping what /I’m/ seeing bc what also matters is what /you/ see, y’know? Like gender is a social construct AND it’s also something that resonates very personally to people, both things are true, it’s just..... not something clear cut. We have to sit with the nuance and find comfort in the discomfort💞

I think part of the confusion between me and cal spiraling and you understanding said spiral is that a lot of it is difficult to put into words so we pick an aspect of a photo and say

as a form of like...... shorthand for what we Mean. There’s such a difference between gender presentation and gender identity even tho the two obviously interact with each other in a very necessary way. Regarding dan specifically I’ll look at things like his discussion of gender in BIG and how he says yes he’s comfortable with being a man even if the concept of whats “”””manly””” escapes him and he wouldn’t turn down a sickening pair of heels and feels fine viewing himself as a formless blob. Maybe what I mean is when I see dan embodying something outside of Manhood™️ even in the subtlest ways my brain goes “huh.... like me :) like me in my womanhood and dykery”

Like I will frequently tag on main in gifsets of Gilbert Blythe and Rick O’Connel and Jack Dawson and Luke Danes that “I love this lesbian” when the character is a presumably straight cis man played by a presumably straight cis man (and white men now that i list them out like that.... hmm is that a me problem or a casting problem? Maybe a little of both🤔) and those four specific men are written in their stories to be like Manly Men™️ — when I see them onscreen displaying tenderness, yearning, gentleness, hesitation, intentionality, my brain goes into a very old dusty file labeled “strict gender roles society taught you” and sees those filed under Girly Shit

Or just like ,, character traits I admire and vibe with. As a woman. As a dyke. Therefore.... “I love this lesbian🤪” she tags under this photo

Is it me leaning into those bad gender categorizations? Is it me finding freedom in inverting them? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ idk! I don’t think there’s a clean and clear answer. so... i’m back because i have too many of these and you asked for more so here we are so this is like a kind of modern au, am also thinking no monsters but i could go either way, i’m thinking like 2012-2015, Hawkins is a small town and because of that it’s views are still pretty conservative, its gotten better over the years but kids still get picked on for their race, sexuality, anything that makes them abnormal, in general it’s just less accepting (pt.1)

(pt.2) So Steve and Tommy are hanging around one day and Steve mentions he thinks he’s bi, Tommy just gets grossed out goes as far as to call steve some slurs and go home, and steve is crushed and terrified, by the time he shows up to school on monday the entire school knows and there are notes in his lockers telling him to kill himself and get out of the school and Nancy, one of the few people who supports him, tries to help, along with Johnathan who explains that they still love him...     

(pt.3) and he even goes as far as to introduce Steve to his brother, with a quick explain that he thinks he’s gay, and that he wants a good role model for him and steve defiantly cries, that’s how he ends up meeting the nerds, when Billy comes into town he almost immediately realizes his dad wanted to come here because it will be hard for billy to be openly gay without him knowing in minutes, on his first day people keep telling him to stay away from Harrington, no one will say why tho...            

(pt.4?) So a few days pass and Billy has yet to meet this harrington kid, but he’s heard stories, used to be too dog but something happened and now he’s labeled a freak. The first time they meet is when Billy comes to practice for the first time, they don’t talk Billy just watches the kid, can’t help but think he’s hot as fuck, but know saying anything about that will probably get him hate crimed, so after practice they all head to the showers...             

(pt.5) Steve seems like he’s trying to get out of there fast, keeps looking anywhere but at the other guys, when tommy comes in he seems to get even more stressed, immediately tommy starts mocking him, talking about how he doesn’t wanna be stuck naked next to steve, some of the other guys join in and billy finally gets it, when he starts listing again tommy has gotten straight up vulgar, asking gross shit and everyone is laughing  and steve looks like he wants to die...             

Okay, so I think I’m gonna write something longer for this because I love this idea, and I’ve had some ideas similar to this. And I may even revisit this for a full fic 🤔

(My ballet fic which will start being posted on Tuesday goes into this, that Steve was picked on for doing ballet and being queer and being femme.)

So, when Steve was like, thirteen, we logged onto the family computer and typed in “how to know if you’re gay” because all he knew was that Indiana Jones made him feel the exact same way Rihanna does, so he did what all us baby queers did, and asked google.

Google tells him that maybe, but there’s also something called the Kinsey Scale, and maybe he’s not gay, but bisexual, or pansexual, or just plain old queer. And all Steve knows is he likes the men on the cover of Sports Illustrated just as much as he likes the women.

When Steve and Tommy are freshly sixteen, and drinking stolen booze, and sitting on Steve’s brand new BMW, staring at the stars over the quarry, Steve tells Tommy that he kinda wants to kiss boys as much as he wants to kiss girls. That he wants to be touched by other boys, to touch other boys. Maybe his drunk tongue slips and says he watched some gay porn and maybe the idea of getting fucked sounds kinda good, kinda hot.

Tommy flips on a fucking dime. He sits there and calls Steve names, tells him he’s disgusting says shit like is that why you’re friends with me? You want me to fuck you? and won’t get back in the car with Steve who cries while he drives home.

And come Monday, there’s the f-slur written on his locker I feel really weird about saying it or writing it out and everyone is pushing him around, and he gets accused of trying to make moves on other guys, and none of the girls will talk to him anymore, and he sits by himself at lunch, until Jonathan Byers, resident weird kid, slaps his lunch down across from Steve and just sits down and starts talking like they’re old friends. Like Steve hasn’t ever pushed him into a wall of lockers. And Steve is having too much fun laughing at this kid’s jokes to actually feel like he’s hit rock bottom.

So he becomes friends with Jonathan. They start hanging out after school, at the Byers’ place, and he meets Will, and he can practically smell the queer on the kid when he gives Steve a once over, goes bright red, and stutters out something about having homework to do.

Mrs’ Byers is kind, and invites him to stay for dinner, and sure, they heard that the Harrington kid’s a f-- but they don’t care, because he’s a sweet kid who helps Joyce with the dishes and plays catch with Will when Lonnie blows him off, and maybe Will blurts out that he has a crush on his friend Mike, and Steve just hugs the kid and wishes to god that it’s easier in Hawkins for this kid than it was for him.

And he and Jonathan get high one day, and Jonathan says he has a thing for Nancy, and Nancy’s been pretty sweet to Steve since he was forced outta the closet, so he helps him out, gets him a date, and they’re happy, and Steve has friends who care about him, who will go to college parties in the city with him, will make sure he keeps his location on his phone shared as he flirts with anyone he likes, has sex with anyone he likes. He has friends that sit with him when he cries in the library after he finds another note in his locker that says something along the lines of kill yourself f--.

And they’re in the parking lot, hanging out before school when Billy gets there, and Billy’s hot and Steve is in love when Billy looks at him across Tina’s Halloween party, smirking and winking. But Tommy's there, yammering in his ear that Harrington was top dog around here, but now, stay away from him. He’s a fucking freak.

And Billy wants to know more, because Harrington is hot, and has a cute kind of deer caught in headlights look about him, but all of his social media is private, and no one will tell Billy anything about him, and he learns to stop asking when Tommy says why do you care so much? You queer for him? because he’s in Hawkins now, and he’s not allowed to be gay in Hawkins. No one is.

And after basketball, Steve stays out of the showers as long as he can, but coach sends him out of the gym, says the school doors’ll be locked past six, so Steve tries to be stealthy, tries to take the shower in the corner, but then Tommy starts running his mouth about not wanting to get too close to Harrington, who is pointedly not looking at anyone, just staring at the drain by his own foot, but then Tommy starts going off about how, maybe he should give it to Harrington, bend him over and take him real good, just the way he’s always wanted, you know, he told me he wanted me to fuck him when we were sixteen and Billy finally gets it.

And Steve looks miserable, so Billy waits after practice, waits til all the other guys are gone, til it’s just him and Harrington in the locker room, and he turns and point-blank asks Steve if he’d want to go out sometime, makes it clear he means on a date. And Steve doesn’t know what to do, thinks this is some joke or something, so he doesn’t say anything until Billy corners him by his car, the same BMW Tommy once said was probably covered in Steve’s AIDs and tells him everything.

Tells him his dad caught him hookin’ up with a guy, that his dad brought him here, to a small conservative town with small conservative people, with the promise that if he acts on his impulses, the people will take care of it before I have to, Billy. He tells Steve that he thinks he’s cute that he wants to take him out on a date.

Steve is so excited he invites Nancy and Jonathan over to help him pick out what to wear, and Billy picks him up, and they go to dinner and a movie in the city, and it’s so nice and fun and Billy kisses him sweetly on the doorstep, and in two weeks, Billy is his boyfriend and they double with Nancy and Jonathan, and go on dates in the city almost every weekend, and they talk to Will about boys, tell him that liking boys is okay that it’s not gross or bad or wrong.

And maybe everything isn’t perfect, Billy’s dad is still a piece of trash, and people still are assholes to Steve, but they have each other, and they love each other, and so things are pretty okay.

•Cleo, even though it’s not her ideal career, worked at a desk job that payed well in order to support the little family they formed. Not saying that’s all she did for Audri, not at all! If she was needed by Audri, Cleo would drop everything to tend to her. She would accept every gift and proudly wear it or hang it up for everyone to see, giving her gifts & praise to try to make sure she knows she’s loved very much.

Audri’s health & safety is her top priority & willing to do anything to ensure it, wither it be a stern talk or a fist fight. That being said when Audri is sick even if it’s not major, won’t be allowed to lift even a finger in fear of making it worse & losing her.

While growing up Audri understood that work was important & usally left her to work when she worked from home but would stop in to drop off small gifts she made, coffee, or even a peaceful rest with the help of her colourful friends before their home fell & Audri vanished.

#2- Zeke Maiyu: Her Uncle ZeZe

In the early years Audri was home schooled due to all the possible illnesses she could get in public schools & private school being to expensive. So since he worked completely from home, Zeke became her teacher during the weekdays & taught her things benifeical to her like reading, writing, cooking, health, as well as things that interested her like astrology & flowers.

They would have days where they would leave home to learn outside or just to play. Audri would alway wonder out of eyesight, (which was easy with technically one eye on you)(sorry not sorry) but never to hard to find again if you followed her giggles or her friends.

Isa/Saïx

“I-Isa! Lea took off with Prof.Hoots again!”

“Don’t worry Audri, I’ll bring the Professer back & try to knock some sense into that dummy before your mother does..”

•The days she was allowed outside, she’d either go to the castle or look for her older friends who honestly play more of an older sibling role in Audri’s life, with Isa taking a more caring & mature sibling place, while Lea takes a teasing/bully but still fun & kind sibling role.

She bonded with Isa the quickest due to their love of the night, as well as to her, He was more comforting to be around since his personality is something she’s grown up with compared to her other ‘big brother’ Lea, who is much louder & competive. Not to say she dislikes his loud personality, just odd when it’s not her being the only extrovert anymore.

•Months after the fall Saïx would be the one to find her at the doors of Castle Oblivion with a large scar over her front & her once sparkling eyes dulled. Her body somehow survived & became a nobody.

She’d be seen at the start clinging to the back his coat as he was the first she saw & most familiar to her memory wise at the time. Although not an official member, she was given a new name, Aidrux & once more independent, missions.

Even though he became colder over time, he still took his brotherly role seriously with what little hearts he had over the years, just as she once more memories came back would care & help him as much as she was able. She’d stay by his side more once Axel started to stray away from them for Roxas & Xion.

Ienzo/Zexion

Ahh the extrovert adopts the introvert~ good quality content with that right there ANyway

“-And then we can make a super big flower like the book with the bean stalk and we’ll touch the stars!”

“...that’s not scientifically plausible Dri”

“Anything is possible when it’s you & me!!”

“..Still think we could make that gaint flower?”

“Thought it ‘wasn’t plausible’. Remember?”

“With you? ‘Anything is possible’ Dear”

“...Dork~.”

•With the tendency to explore unsupervised, it would’ve been only a matter of time before these two would meet. despite the tough shell Ienzo had, instead of breaking it with trying to make him talk, she waited for him to hatch on his own accord, by bringing small books or art supplies to work on silently with a few comments here & there. She knew forcing him to talk would only make it harder.

In time he did start talking although not by much, but enough to hold a conversation which made Audri practically shine when she heard him talk. The small talks the had honestly funny if you were able to hear them, from plans of the future to multi-coloured animals, they’ve talked about it all almost.

•Zexion was a big change to Aidrux once she remembered, but that didn’t mean she didn’t try over the years. Whether it be old books or the small remark there, she tried & forunatly so did he. With illusions of flower fields & cheeky statements, they became close again, well as close as you could get with no hearts anyway.

•Once whole again they weren’t really sure what to do with the sudden massive rush of emotions that filled them when they met up again, it scared both of them to the point they avoided one another for a while till that feeling became unbearable.

They can’t think of the right word to label their relationship but they know they care about eachother differently compared to the others, but not quite love..

But maybe in time it will.

Xemnas

•Oddly enough? He felt kinda safe to her even after she remembered he was the reason she was nobody. He didn’t mind her presence really, she was useful & benifited the Orginzation.

But, something remembered her, and not from when he was an apprentice no. Something before that, but what?

As for people she dislikes/hates/uncomfortable with?

•As a child she never felt completely comfortable with Braig, there were the rare times she felt okay but never completely. To this day she still isn’t sure why, but she’ll get an idea why soon.

•During KH2 hands down for a time, H A T E D Sora, as far as she knew, he was trying to stop them from getting their hearts back, stopping her from being with her family. (Id be mad to if banana shoes over here started basically destroying years of planning/ work) She knows the truth now, but being near him all alone still sparks some negative feelings.

•As childish as it is, any man with yellow eyes. She doesn’t remember completely how she got to RG but knows that a male with those eyes took her there & feeling scared.

I have to admit tho out of Lea & Isa, I’ve always liked Lea more so its a little funny how little he’s mentioned lol.

It's A Lot so you don't have to do all of them obviously but all odd numbers for Lark and all even for Cauterize

Collin I’m love you <3 I may not get through them all and I’m gonna skip the less relevant ones but you bet I’m gonna answer a lot of them. Under a readmore because this is gonna be a Lot lol.

1. Lark - Why did they choose their class(es)? their subclass(es) When they were a teenager they went to see a powerful, retired bard named Marsha who offered magical fantasy transition to anyone who desired it. While there, they were inspired by how welcoming she was, and by her masterful piano playing. They learned the basics of music from her and continued that path after they left. (College of Lore bards just get the real good perks imo lol)

2. Cauterize - Before they met their party, what was their main goal? We haven’t played yet so he hasn’t met his future party members, but his goal is basically to earn a living and go unnoticed. And the past he left behind finds him, to burn it out and finish it off once and for all.

4. Cauterize - If they could learn one spell that isn’t available to them at present, which spell would it be? Well he’s a monk so he has very limited magical abilities. Fireball would be sick but very attention-grabbing. He would enjoy Vicious Mockery, but Disguise Self would prove the most beneficial (for low-level spells considering he’s level 3).

5. Lark -Do they follow a higher power? what are their thoughts on divinity? Hard no. They don’t put much faith in the gods, even though they know they exist. In Lark’s mind, the life they have is theirs to live however they damn well please, and they’re going to make the most of it, because nothing is waiting for them afterwards

9. Lark - Do they care about their appearance? how much effort do they put into presentation? OH BOY do they ever. Lark is absolutely the type to spend an hour getting ready every morning, even when adventuring. They're very particular about their fashion and overall appearance, and a majority of the time they're putting on some kind of performance to be more attractive/charming. They only really let their guard down around their party, and particularly around their partner. Sidenote that they don't like getting dirty ex. going into the sewers, but they will if they have to. It also took them some time to become okay with the prominent scars on their face, and the other nasty scars they've picked up during their adventuring.

10. Cauterize - How often do they lie? what situations cause them to be dishonest? HA! Like, all the time. He has his fair share of secrets to keep, which means lying and deflecting when anything personal comes up. He's also a criminal, so he has to be careful about what he says and to who.

11. Lark - What skills are they proficient in? why? As a College of Lore Bard, just like. So Many. Sleight of Hand (+7), stealth (+7), investigation (+6), insight (+11), perception (+11), deception (+15), intimidation (+10), and persuasion (+15). Most of them are skills they picked up from their time as a honeytrap, deceiving, seducing, and stealing from nobles. Perception they honed during their journey because the party needed someone with an eye for danger.

12. Cauterize - Have they ever been in love? Once. Or at least, the closest thing to love he's ever felt, he didn't get much of a chance to explore it.

13. Lark - What do they dislike about themself? why? Oooh this is a hard one for them, because they have a Bit of an ego. But I'd say their tendency to push people away, and how they worry they're always too close to having their bad habits slide into addiction.

14. Cauterize - What is something they love about themself? Oh see now this one's equally difficult! Because Aut does not have much of an ego, he's always careful to stay humble and is fairly pessimistic. Love is a strong word, but he's proud that he takes control of his own life and future.

15. Lark - do they trust their party? why or why not? At the beginning Lark (Virus) didn't trust anyone (except Rancor their familiar). Trust was foolish, and letting people in on your secrets gave them power over you. But they've slowly learned to trust their party member with their life and their secrets. Mostly thanks to Kairos' stubborn persistence and affection lol.

16. Cauterize - What are their feelings on the people who raised them? Ooh this one's too spoiler-heavy to really answer, but Not Good.

17. Lark - What do they dream about, when their dreams are their own? Hmm this is a tough one, I haven't given much thought to their dreams. Their nightmares definitely consist of the times they've had to kill people, and maybe the rare nightmare of their upbringing. In terms of good dreams, probably memories of past lovers tbh, and of music. Dreams of a quieter, retired life with their partner.

18. Cauterize - Do they see themself as a leader or a follower? Another tough one! Aut would hate to be forced into the role of a leader, but he's also to stubborn and opinionated to be a well-behaved follower. He's kind of a lone wolf rn. This would be an interesting one to see how things play out and where he falls on this spectrum.

19. Lark - What haunts them? what doesn’t? Definitely the people they've had to kill. They never used to kill, and don't want to kill unless that person is "irredeemable" or is too great a threat to them and their loved ones. They harbour no guilt over their thieving and honeytrapping tendencies though, especially because they use it as a way to steal from and blackmail the rich nobles who deserve it.

20. Cauterize - Which of the five senses do they rely the most on? Sight and sound. His monk training would have taught him not to rely too heavily on any one scent, but these two are the best suited for sensing danger and incoming attacks in combat.

21. Lark - Do they follow their head, their heart, or their body? Pffft. I mean... defs their body more than they should. But they're not a fool, and typically have enough sense to think things through first and weight the risks. They rarely follow their heart - almost never did until recently.

22. (Lark) - What is a promise they’ve broken? I don't think Aut has made many promises, and the one I can think of is a major spoiler lol. This is actually a really interesting question for Lark tho, because they have a strict moral of not making promises unless they truly mean them. They'll lie through their teeth and manipulate people without a shred of guilt, but as soon as they use the word "promise," that means they're dead set on keeping their word.

23. Lark - How do they feel about nicknames, titles, or labels that have been given to them? how do they feel about their name? Lark never really got any nicknames or the like tbh. They're proud of the reputation they've built (whether that's for being a clever fuck or a skilled bard), so anything related to that they'd get a bit of satisfaction out of. They chose the name Lark Freesia for themself, as it embodies them and is truly their name, and they'd never trade it for anything (though they would add to it when they get married lol).

24. Cauterize - Which of the four elements speaks to them the most? Okay this one's plain and simple - fire. I mean, he is a fire genasi. But also he hates being associated with the sun (for ~reasons~), and so he really leans into his association with fire, as... almost an act of rebellion against that.

25. Lark - What stories do they like to tell? what stories do they like to hear? As a bard, I think they'd have a talent for remembering grand tales they've heard from other bards, and like to add their own twist and dramatic flair to them. They're more of a musician, but I think their songs would tell stories, and their favourite would be of triumph, of freedom, and of found family - though subtly. They like to hear stories from those they love about their own lives, anecdotes that open a window into their history and happiness.

26. Cauterize - Who do they miss? Without getting into specific spoilers, the only family he ever had, and the man he loved.
