Sam and colby don't wanna say how they're feeling established when they got hurt and/or upset and go off on the fans because the fans will throw a hissy fit because they got told their in the wrong (because they were) but I understand that like influencers, celebrities, singer, etc etc etc can't really be rude or say how they feel because they will get hate and it's mostly the younger fans that say rude ass shit and when some bites back whether it's the influencer/celebrities or the other fans they get pissed even tho they are in the wrong

honestly, i find it so funny bc some fans wanted snc to directly interact with ppl that have been hating on them, or block them, or just say something directly to the twitter crowd. but like, do you really think anyone over there would have handled that well???

like if snc flat out @-ed ppl and said "hey stop being mean we're doing our best" or whatever, a, said person probably would have backpedaled to high heaven and said they were just joking/trying to get snc's attention or b, the fandom would attack snc more bc they are abusing their power by (basically) calling everyone over to that person to attack them.

it's a lose lose.

like some want snc to just block and mute, me included. but if snc did that, without an explanation (even tho no one deserves an explanation for getting blocked or muted)… this fandom would just say snc are changing for the worst and they are assholes bc why would they block fans??

and honestly, it's not just the younger fans. i've seen plenty of old fans, or ones that should at least know better, saying mean shit about snc.

either way, if everyone could just calm down and enjoy themselves rather than freaking out all the time, that would be awesome lol

i'm ashamed to say that i'm one of the people who talked some shit about snc over on twitter, everyone in that app gave me the mindset these boys didn't actually care for us and that they only cared for the money and that they're abandoning us, but then i really thought about it and realized that they DO honestly care and that they haven't abandoned us and they've been doing their best.

i allowed other people's opinions to become my own and i took a step back from twitter after realizing that i had and now i'm thinking better on my own with my own opinions. twitter is a toxic place. and if i were snc i would just not go on there anymore. i feel badly for what i've done and the things i've said and i owe snc the biggest apology.

and i get why you would think snc don't care. a lot of ppl on there genuinely believe the loudest folks about everything. which is why i try my best to remove myself from the fandom when i can. bc reality is, at least for me, snc are good ppl. sure, they've made their fuck ups. they've done things i don't agree with. but they aren't bad ppl. i know they deeply care about us, but they can only be stretched so thin to show that love.

and truly, if snc weren't doing enough for me, i would have left. i'm old enough to know when to leave. or when i'm no longer being entertained. and i've been having a swell time so… unless that changes, idc how others feel about them/others aren't gonna change my mind on them.

I know you’re so tired of hearing about drama and negativity lol the fandom gets way too heated. Maybe I’m just an easy going person idk but at the end of the day the world is still gonna turn 🤷‍♀️ I think some people need to just take a breather and realize that we’re all human and we are all going to make some mistakes and questionable choices at times. It’s just not that deep.

that's the thing with all of this drama; all of this should just be fun. like this should be a fun time in the fandom.

for years, and i genuinely want to emphasize years, this fandom has a, wanted boyfriend!colby content and b, has wanted snc to take a break bc they work so hard. and for both of these things to somewhat occur at the same time and instead of being happy a loud minority are pissed at them is really fucking annoying.

bc genuinely outside of those ppl and that bs, i'm having fun in the fandom. i'm enjoying my time seeing snc with their gfs, or seeing whatever they do post. they have so much content from past years that i rewatch, i'm constantly doing some form of creative endeavor related to them. i'm not bored.

not only that, but snc just announced to us on xplrclub a lot of cool things that are coming down the pipeline. and instead of focusing on that, all the bitter bettys on twitter are focusing on snc saying "hey we see your comments and some of them are really mean, which is why we don't go on there anymore" and their response to being called out is to not take it well (which is essentially what they are saying snc are doing). i mean…. at what point do you take accountability for being assholes?

bc reality is, snc don't just cut ppl off in this fandom. they are extremely nice, to a fault, to most of the fandom. there are plenty of fans that should have been put on blast a long time ago by them, blocked by them, seen some form of repercussions and instead snc are nice to them, reply to them, fold to what they say.

but sometimes i just have to remember to sit back and realize that it really is a very small number of fans that feel this way. bc as much as some of them love to believe they speak for a majority of the fandom, they don't. think of it this way, say for argument's sake there is 10k ppl in this fandom that hate what snc are currently doing. and hey, that's a lot of ppl. i'm not saying that's a small number. however, there is 12 million ppl in this fandom (roughly, of course, since not every person subbed to them is in the fandom). do you know what percent of the fandom that would be? eight. 8%. that's not even double digit percentage of the fandom that feels that way !! and it sure as hell isn't a majority.

so sometimes, i think the best bet anyone that doesn't agree with that very loud minority can do is just take a step back and enjoy what is currently happening with snc. as i've said, this should be a fun time. we should be enjoying and kiki-ing about snc with their girls. we should be wondering who they are collabing with and where they're going next. maybe even talking about other fun topics. but instead, twitter is a hellscape, like usual. but i'm not gonna let them ruin my fun anymore. sorry. i'm not here for you guys, i'm here for snc. yall stay mad lol

yeah i will say that was one of the most infuriating parts to seeing twitter's freak out.

bc snc flat out said they love all of their fans, but bc they address the xplrclub ppl first instead of going to the lion's den and saying all of this, all those fans heard was "we only love fans that pay monthly for our shit" (as if those ppl weren't saying that beforehand).

and what's fucking hysterical is literally all of the ppl complaining are also on xplrclub so like???? make it make sense. you're complaining.... bc you were told directly by snc what you wanted to hear?? .....but you don't like that they didn't address you on the free site first............ but best believe that if they would have done that first yall would be complaining "but what about xplrclub members? you don't even care about us and we're paying".

I think a lot of the younger fandom, the ones who often forget that Sam and Colby are both almost thirty, living their lives, while having a passion for youtube/paranormal, are indeed that. Adults.

They can take criticism and adjust if they want to, yet in my eyes I have no issues with them keeping life private, doing what they need to do and posting when they want to. I'm sure they are working insanely hard behind the scenes, the only problem really is that fans not all, but some believe they are entitled to have them engaging or posting when they want them to.

If they want that, then look for other channels, the Sidemen post every one to two days on one of their many channels plus on sideplus. A lot of british commentators post twice or three times a week.

Depending on the content and the context of what they are doing, taking time is better than getting a half assed not fully finished product.

As a fan who is older than most (at least I think so) it's shameful how others act.

i agree with you. i think too many fans expect snc to just tell us everything that's happening with them at all times, bc they've done that for so many years. and bc fans are expecting that openness, when they don't get it… they feel like snc are hiding from us. when really they are just setting a boundary and all of those fans freaking out are just upset they don't have the inside scoop anymore.

bc look, if all of this was just about content and the lack of it recently, then i would be on board for the frustration. bc it is a bit sad to see less and less of them. but, if they don't want to share with us what they do in their free time, i'm not gonna harp on them for it. the one vid a month has been the usual for some time, they post on react weekly, and just bc they don't interact with us all the time like they once did doesn't mean they've changed.

like, the fandom 12 million ppl in it, even if snc wanted to talk to everyone in the fandom, they wouldn't be able to. and sorry, but it's not the end of the world if they don't want to talk to fans on twitter or any site for that matter. you aren't warranted unfeathered access to them just bc you buy merch or have supported them for years. it's not snc's job to interact with us. it's an added bonus, for our benefit (and theirs too). but it's only really mutual for them when WE AREN'T DICKHEADS to them.

personally, if snc only tweet out links to vids and merch drops from this point forward, i wouldn't lose sleep over it. who cares. my god lol

but the fact of the matter is all of this drama started with the girls. once they got in the picture, everyone started finding reasons to be hateful. and maybe now they aren't the sole reason, but they were the beginning. and snc have been flat out telling us that going on social media and seeing everyone's comments, mostly on twitter, is hard for their mental healths. and if the ppl on there can't accept that or want to argue about it, babes... you ain't got no one to blame but yourselves. bc snc have ALWAYS been forgiving, always been ppl pleasers. they wouldn't just randomly ice out part of the fandom for no reason.

i think it was both a good and bad idea.

hearing feedback is always good, as long as it's actually constructive. but this fandom has a way of being just completely assholes and then pretending they were being constructive lol

my biggest issue is that the ones that are complaining the most are also the ones spending every waking day shitting on snc and their gfs. that's who snc are basically listening to. and it sucks bc while yes, there are things i would love for snc to change up a bit, listening to those fans about anything is basically a double edged sword.

Sam posted an ask , simply something like “what was your least fav video/thing from our recent videos?” And i saw some people reacting to it like : “EVerything? You guys are all empty promises about nee videos on Sunday , but you barely even post” or some shit like this. And when i tell you my blood BOILED ! First of all , Snc never or at least nothing I remember made empty promises. They always tells us on which sunday the vid is gonna drop and it alzways does ( and when there are some complications , they tell us as well and inform us about unfortunate delay of a vid… but that happens… rarely) and second of all!!!!!!! ————-> SAM AND COLBY ARE NOT FUCKING MACHINES AND YOUR UNGRATEFUL ASSES ON TWITTER NEEDS TO CALM DOWN! They do basicallly everything on their O w N ! They film , they montage it and then upload it … It takes time ffs. Like when did they filmed the vid with Boys ? Two moths ago? And we will probably get it this Sunday ( almost Fcking May! ) . Sam and Colby put a good amount of work for their every video. The videos are so well done and so entertaining to watch that even non believers admitted to watch it for pure entertainment, because those videos are just genuinely good and interesting. But guess what? To create something great you need a lot of timeee and a lot of worrk. Snc are humans too and i am so pissed that some of their “fans” do not seem to get that and treat them almost like ma chines. “Omg boohoo poor me , it’s another sunday and no Snc video” . You guys are so annoying. Find a life! Ok? Then maybe you would stop crying about ridiculous things like people being people and not machines that post every Sunday , 1h+ long videos with great montage that includes sound effects, cuts , extra images etc. Sam and Colby at least have life and do some work yk? Maybe if you could find yourself one then you wouldn’t care that much and reduce your time spent on Twitter and Internet and realize that there is a life outside of it in which people do not cry over some YouTube videos omfg.

i agree with you. any fan that expected every sunday to get a vid from them just hasn’t listened to snc, who literally gives us a couple days notice of when they plan to post.

the issue with the videos taking so long, and thus only having one a month, will hopefully be solved soon since they hired on more editors. bc that was their main issue since colby has been the only one editing while sam gives notes to the other editor about the (basically) finished video.

i can understand why fans are upset for the very slow build up of videos this past year, but that frustration doesn’t mean you get to go balls to the wall crazy, saying whatever you want about snc in the hopes that things will changed.

not to mention they have been posting once a month for years now (maybe twice if they get lucky) minus hell weeks, so…. why is anyone acting surprised by this? not to mention they have a whole ass other channel where they post weekly/biweekly - the react one.

and if anyone brings up the old days, aka xplr era, those videos were only 20 minutes long max most times and were all filmed in succession in one state with JUST snc. the times have changed. move on and accept it or leave 🤷🏻‍♀️

I literally do not understand these people on twitter they say the sub count is either stagnant or dropping and is not going up but I've been watching the live sub count the last few days and it is steadily creeping upwards so the things these people are saying don't make sense to me?

They also keep going on and on about views being down and I'm like 'no more down than last years off season videos?' People on Twitter frustrate me. They seem to think they are the centre of you universe and the words their spewing are facts when in reality it just doesn't make sense.

yeah i don’t get that logic either. i just went to look, bc i was curious, and while they did hit 11 mil a couple months ago, they are steadily growing.

i think too many fans forget that them hitting 10/11 mil went by so quickly bc of the conjuring. before that it would take them a couple months to hit another mil, and rightfully so bc that’s a lot of ppl.

and view count wise, the one with joe rogan is the only one with slightly lower views, but it’s still at over 5 mil so like… not a bad video by any stretch lol

also i find it funny that fans point out colby lost followers when he announced malia, bc duh, but lovingly ignore that he’s back to gaining like usual now.

like all the data is laid out there on social blade. to make up shit for the sake of your narrative just so that you can appear right is really fucking dumb, bc again - if you’re comparing their growth now to the ladder half of last year, that’s not a comparable time. they grew much faster than usual. that’s an outlier. but spring of last year? this is normal.

they actually would be growing more if they were posting more, sure. but if they don’t mind the pace they are at with everything, why are you trying to paint it like it’s a bad thing???
