I feel the need to apologize for what clearly became angst day central here, so, with that being said, give me 5 fluffy moments you want to see, this season or any future season.

Nooo, absolutely no need to apologize, Becca! It’s angsty season now for Chenford so of course it's angsty season for us too 😂

But I’ll gladly list 5 fluffy moments I’d love to see!

1. Cuddling in bed. Listen, it’s not even negotiable anymore. I NEED IT 🥺

2. I wouldn’t say no to a happy hug for once. Bonus points if one of them hugs the other from behind.

3. Oh, date night! Uninterrupted. I’d also love to see them hang out with another couple, maybe like a double date.

4. Speaking of spending time with other couples: wouldn’t a game night type of thing be fun?! With everyone there so we can get aaaallllll the family vibes. Gimme something like 5x13 at Nolan’s again. We know we all want it.

5. Technically, I already said cuddling, but… oh well. Cuddling with Kojo! Don’t care if it’s on the couch or in bed, but I’d love to see the boy actually spend some time with his humans, and all three of them cuddled up together would absolutely make me melt.

Can I add a sixth? No? Cool, imma do it anyway.

6. Mentioning "our kids" again! And, ya know, if they feel like it, they could also talk about moving in together (officially) and potentially finding a whole new place together while they're at it? I would die dead. Over and over. If we're talking about things for in, like, three seasons.. yeah, I'm gonna need to see them with their baby. Just imagine the family cuddles with the three of them (and Kojo!) on a lazy, rainy Sunday... okay, clearly I want lots of cuddles for them lol.

Okay, this is hard, mostly because... there are so many funny moments on this show, but they tend to be fleeting, laugh-in-the-moment-then-forget-it things. So here's what I've got off the top of my head (in no particular order):

Daddy Cop (both times, but the 6x02 version was particularly awesome - with the choir?? 😂)

Tim and Jackson showing up at Angela's house with a riot shield in 3x14 (and honestly, Tim in his Man of Honor era in general was hilarious)

Jackson when he was "high" in 2x08

"You were literally my teacher" in 3x07

The childbirth conversation in 3x09

hi bestie ♡ akldfjaslkdf AAAAAAH. this is such a hard question! i guess i would have to pick 6x02 because i enjoyed all the different plots in the episode like i may have blacked out for almost all of it but i did pay attention lmao. like it was just so great??? these are some fav moments 😂

chenford being awkward with each other and angela's comedic timing as she teased them and was about to go grab some popcorn

"i have to look amazing in a dress tomorrow no one cares what you look like. he's huge, i'm not fighting him" *brb still dying at the line* even with the tension between them, there was still the banter there AND THE WAY TIM JUST ACCEPTED THIS??? he really went from s1 of having her fight ghost head to her saying 'nope' and him just like 🤷🏽‍♀️ 'okay, guess i'm fighting him'

chenford angst problems being a topic of discussion in the bachelor/bachlorette parties

timothy bradford (out of all people) actually listening to skip tracer randy's idea and putting himself through a lie detector test just to prove a point

the lie detector scene 😭😭😭 (also the fact that lucy's first question was about the bugs was so cute)

chenford angst at the beginning of the wedding and how they couldn't stay apart from one another and we got our third chenford dance!!!!!!!!!!!!! the entire dialogue as they made up ♡

I would love to say yes because I think she'd be just the best roommate ever (though I have a feeling now I'd be overhearing quite a lot of certain... ahem... things I don't want to hear lol). I might be too introverted for her though, she'd be constantly having to drag me out of the house. Which maybe would actually be a good thing for me.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

I mean, Tim is the obvious one here, but I'm guessing that's not really what this question is going for.

I think for me it would be a tie between Tamara and Nyla. The way Lucy took Tamara under her wing and gave her a place to be safe and cared for and to just blossom says so much about who she is as a person. She's so caring and supportive and just everything she never had as a kid.

With Harper, things between them started out so badly, until she realized Lucy's potential. So then to see her open herself up to help Lucy through DOD and ultimately become a friend and a mentor, and I love that Lucy can go to her for support and perspective and that she knows Harper will always have her back.

They didn’t always go to bed together, but they always woke up together. And as much as Lucy loved the nights that they went to bed together, the middle of the night wakes up always held a special place in her heart. She loved the feeling of comfort and would breathe a sigh of relief when she would hear the door open and Tim would enter, trying to be as quiet as possible. She’d smile softly upon feeling him enter their bed and wrap his arms around her as he buried his head against her neck, breathing her in and finally reuniting with her after a long day apart. Any thoughts after watching the new promo?

So many!

Let's start with the basics : how many days have passed since Lucy last saw/talked to Tim?

Ngl, Angela's nonchalance was a bit disconcerting at first… especially after agreeing that Tim's warning was "alarming". That said, I get why she was trying to keep calm or didn't want to involve Grey either. At least, not without having more information first. The look on her face after Lucy left makes me think that she didn't completely brush off her worries. Just that she is going to try to see for herself what's going on first. I still wish she had appeared more supportive, but I'm guessing that this is the point. The vibe felt very reminiscent of the last two episodes (particularly 6.04), with Lucy probably feeling isolated/alone even if that's not the case. @thisnightissparkling089 summed it up perfectly.

Lucy is spiraling and I can't blame her. I fully get her frustrations and anxiety. Yes, she needs to trust Tim. At the same time, he needs to communicate with her. I get that he wants to protect her. But he also knows what's it like to be in her shoes and should understand how it's affecting her.

This whole storyline is really all about communication, and more specifically, how these two need to seriously learn how to properly communicate. All the cracks that have been teased here and there in s5b are finally coming to the surface.

Let's just say that there's a thin line between trying to protect someone and taking their agency away… so I fully get why Lucy looks so pissed when she says "stop protecting me" in the promo trailer.

Bottom line : I can't wait, even if it's going to hurt so so bad.

I’ve loved reading all the thoughts and analyses that have been put out there in the last six days by @theflyindutchwoman @cfr749 @chenfordspiral @thesassywitchofthenortheast @makeitastrength @thisnightissparkling089 and many more.

But among the questions that linger in my mind (other than the 36 hour thing which I still believe to be a error on the writers’ side of things), the one that I just keep pondering is what changed for Tim to make him go see Lucy?

He wouldn’t answer her calls or texts and then he just shows up at her (their) apartment? He didn’t want to tell her anything that was going on or risk getting her involved. So what did he think he was going to say or do?

Did he just not want a trackable trail (via call and text records) that could potentially lead back to her? So he decided to visit her instead?

What did he expect from going over there? He knew she was going to be upset. He knew she would want to know what he was involved with. So what was he planning to say or do when he showed up?

He obviously wasn’t doing well emotionally. He needed her comfort. Maybe he just was hoping she would just let him hold her for a minute? Or that he/they could just pretend everything wasn’t happening and he could sleep somewhere other than his car or house?

I get that he was floundering. He doesn’t seem to have a good plan for what to do with this situation. He doesn’t want to kill Ray, but he wants him dead. He doesn’t want to risk his career, but he needs to get rid of Ray. He doesn’t want to risk hurting Lucy in any way, but he needs help and needs her to comfort him.

Perhaps we’ll figure out all of this tomorrow night, but I just keep going back to this question and wondering what he thought would happen and why he decided to show up when he wasn’t going to answer her calls/texts or tell her anything.

Aaaaand now I’ve rambled for too long. Thoughts anyone?

I absolutely try to, but sometimes I get behind. Tbh I usually want to respond the minute I see one come in, but don't want to scare anyone lmao. But I read every single one, often multiple times. And you might just get a response from me two years later 😂

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oh man... I think this has to be We Built Sandcastles, because I have yet to give it an ending and it hurts me too. I'm so sorry. 😭

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I'm gonna go with However Do You Want Me... what's happier than banging on an airplane to save the world?

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really... thankfully, 99.9% of the interaction I've had on my fics has been positive and that's a testament to how wonderfully supportive this fandom is of its creators 😭

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yup... the horny kind? Lol... queue Lovin on Me by Jack Harlow. I am pretty vanilla, and I do usually focus a lot on the emotional aspects over the physical. I also generally prefer writing the foreplay over the actual tactics of banging, but I try.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Lol... well... one time when I was 13 I may have written an AU where Justin Timberlake and Nick Carter were normal boys attending the same high school 😂...

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Thankfully, I don't think so!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? 

I don't think so, but any time someone does comment on one of my fics in another language, I am just honored and blown away that they found it entertaining enough to work through the language barrier.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! Want You to Stay with the amazing @poppypickle. I will always be so thankful that the Chenford fandom brought us together, and so grateful for that creative experience. Truly one of the coolest things I've ever done. ❤️

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

I think Chenford still holds this crown.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

We Built Sandcastles, but I actually haven't written anything I've truly given up on. I still think about this universe and write down bits and pieces here and there. I'm also still working on Beneath Your Beautiful!

16. What are your writing strengths?

Weird reality TV AUs? Sexual tension? Feelings?

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Probably too much exposition / time in the character's heads spelling out their motivations vs. letting readers come to their own conclusions.

I'm not always consciously aware of it in my own writing, but sometimes I suspect I'm a little sappier than what I'd normally I prefer to read.

Also I'm slow and sometimes leave my readers hanging for extremely long periods of time (I'm so sorry).

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Depends on the context, but, for me, I'd have a hard time without a native speaker to consult with. No strong feelings against it though.

I'm going to go with one I haven't mentioned yet, which is Cruel Summer because that fic was utterly batshit, came out of literally nowhere, and was so much fun to write!

Talk shop Tuesday! Is there a story you want to write, but aren't sure how you would execute it?

So many. Lol, just kidding (or am I?)

I’ve had this multi chapter planned out and outlined for months now, but there’s still just some specific details that need to be worked out in order for me to actually write it, and figuring those out has proven to be way more difficult than I initially thought. It’s an AU where Tim and Lucy meet because Angela is a nosy albeit caring best friend and set them up on a blind date. It sounds super easy when I say it like that, but there’s obviously more to the story than this because we gotta keep it interesting, of course. I’ve gotten a few tips and inspiration from Victoria (@girlintotv) a couple months back, but I’m still shying away from actually writing it because it’s still a mess in my head.

If I do manage to sort it all out and write it the way I want to write it, I think it could be a really cool story.

Last's nights episode, tell me one thing you loved and one thing you would have changed ☺️

AHHHH WE'RE BACK!!!!!!

One thing I loved (and also hated, because pain) was the ending. It hurts like a bitch, but I love that we're seeing Tim and Lucy have the hard conversations. Whether they've said it or not, these are two people who love and care for each other deeply. There are going to be challenges along the way, and this is hands down their biggest one yet. But the very fact that they're talking about this stuff (or at least starting to dive into it) is proof positive that they're all in. It's worth the effort. I'm really excited to see how this all shakes out!

(I'd also like to note that their communication issues are out in full force here. Tim didn't do anything wrong - he was being supportive in his own way - but Lucy didn't do anything wrong either. Her inner saboteur had her focused solely on her anxiety, to the point that Tim could have tattooed "you're going to kick ass" across his face and she still would have felt this way."

Something I would have changed? I hated seeing Lucy be the butt of the joke. It had its funny moments, but we all know how capable she is, so to see her floundering like that hurt. I'm ready to see her succeed already!

What motivates you to write?

... the utter need to create chaos 😏

i'm totally kidding lol. i think it depends on what i'm writing? sometimes it's wanting to explore a character's thoughts/actions or a scene that left me wanting a little more. other times it's a line of lyrics or a line of dialogue that i can picture playing out in my head and i need to put it into words. this one feels a little weird to talk about but engagement; there's something so special about hearing what resonated with someone or what parts they enjoyed like i'll play this little game as i'm writing of guessing what i think might stand out and sometimes it'll be what i thought it would but other times it's surprised me where it's not at all what i expected it to be 😂♡

Oh gosh, this one is HARD! I know I’m gonna miss some because there are just so many. But here’s the top 5 I can think of for now:

Daddy Cop, because obviously.

I commented this earlier so I know you already know it’s gonna be on this list: the episode where Nolan is waving the metal detector wand over the guy and realizes he has his dick pierced.

“If you get dispatched to a loud party, make sure they know you’re not the stripper.”

I think someone else said this earlier which is probably why I’m thinking of it now, but the episode where Angela is asking Harper about childbirth over the radio and they’re all listening in. Some A+ dialogue and reactions in that scene.

I’m drawing a total blank right now, so I’m just gonna say Aaron, because he’s had so many good one-liners over the years. Even just in 6x04 he had a couple.
