HI MY LOVE NO THEY HAVE NOT AND ITS A TRAVESTY BECAUSE YEAH I LOVE THIS ONE.

So I’m doing a “soulmates in every universe” series this year that is very similar to your firstprince first kisses series ~ one shots for fun! I take a soulmate trope and turn that thing on its HEAD.

This one is Ace!Alex in a universe where soulmates “fall in love at first sight”/ and immediately seal their bond via sex, except that’s kind of a sucky system for many isn’t it? I shared a snippet of this one on a long forgotten WIP Wednesday but here it is below (on mobile sorry for the formatting):

The system isn’t built for people who realize things slowly, who move towards love and forever in a plodding meandering way like a nice walk down a fall path. The system isn’t built for people who aren’t willing to immediately seal their fate via the sweet fuck of life or whatever else you want to call the coupulating of not so couples who start getting it on like rabbits hit with sex powder.

The sweet fuck of life. And wasn’t that the drag. Alex just wasn’t ever going to get to have a soulmate because he didn’t want to shove his parts into another person, or even really ever do anything that had to do with the whole sex side of the soulmates stuff.

Truly fuck the system and the normative horse the backwards cowboy position rode in on.

Alex doesn’t need sex and apparently the universe decided for him that he doesn’t get a soulmate.

I really love this one and I’m looking forward to writing many more universes with Ace Alex!!!

Tony genuinely expected to die when he snapped his fingers that day, but instead he is waking 18 months later to find that he's apparently been in a coma since then, he needs to relearn how to walk, his wife is leaving him (sweet reasons promise), and three people hanging off every beep of his heart rate monitor. Strange and Bruce get into a weird competition for Tony. Nobody pays enough attention to or as Peter. And Tony? He's mostly tired. (in which polyamory is answer)

This is so fun! Thank you to @hilarychuff for the tag - it's like you knew I was sitting here, bored out of my skull.

That's the weird file name I have for Soul. So, here is an unedited snippet from Chapter 28 that I hope isn't too spoiler-y:

“It does. It’s good.” She relaxes against the cushions again, pulling the blanket over her chest as Wayne toggles between NBC and CBS before settling on the former. They sit in companionable silence, watching the morning news. A woman is suing a wrestler for sexual harassment, and there’s something happening with Israel that she doesn’t fully understand. Locally, there’s been a string of burglaries in a neighborhood in a rich part of Indianapolis, and there’s a lot of handwringing about ruined Christmases. Then, there is fluffy nonsense about a dog in a Santa hat, as well as a review of Dustin Hoffman’s new movie with Tom Cruise. The reviewer has just finished giving the movie four stars when a knock comes at the front door, startling them both. “Six-thirty in the goddamn morning,” Wayne says with a scowl. He rises, and Chrissy can hear his knees pop. 

The knocker is NOT WHO YOU THINK IT IS, I promise. But literally every chunk of Chapter 28 spoils something that happens in as-yet-unposted chapters, so this is all I've got.

👠 - What kind of shoes does your muse usually wear? What is most comfortable for them in regards to footwear? Can your muse walk in high heels?

Mercy: Her standard go-to option is boots- her usual options are western boots or work boots(with a good heel, of course- boots are expensive and she’s not getting something she can’t ride in). She might opt for some variety of flats, like mary janes or oxfords, if she’s in a secure settlement or somewhere that she doesn’t feel like boots are necessary. She can walk in heels but those are pretty much only reserved for when she’s wearing more formal clothes.

Reed: Boots are also his usual option- he primarily wears combat/tactical boots. Outside of that he’ll occasionally wear sneakers, but boots are the standard. I’d say he probably does have a basic understanding of wearing heels and has probably worn them in the past, but wouldn’t go anywhere near them now.

Delta: They rotate between leather boots & sneakers depending on what they’re doing and where they are- boots are better if they’re going to be fighting, but sneakers are more comfortable in warm weather and easier to run in. I don’t think they know how to walk in heels but would probably pick up that skill pretty quickly just given that they’re pretty agile- but I don’t think they’d wear heels on their own since they aren’t as comfortable or practical as their usual shoes.

🎤 - Can your muse sing well? Do they sing often? If they were to stand up in front of a crowd, would they be able to sing in front of all of those people?

Mercy: She had a decent voice before becoming a ghoul & she liked singing occasionally- nothing formal, just singing along with the radio around the house and things like that. She eventually stopped due to vocal cord damage from ghoulifying.

Reed: He has an average voice and can carry a tune, but singing isn’t really his thing.

Delta: They have a decent voice like Mercy did, but they don’t really care for singing either and rarely do it.

⛄️ - What would be your muse's ideal weather conditions? Do they prefer being hot or cold? What's their favorite season?

Mercy: Her favorite season is summer & her favorite weather is heavy rain, but for obvious reasons she does prefer drier weather when she actually has to go places. She does tend to run a bit hot but prefers warmer temperatures in general, it’s just what she’s used to from living in hot climates for so long. She’s usually happiest when it’s somewhere around 65°F-75°F - not hot enough where she has to be concerned about her hayburner overheating, but not cold enough to worry about wearing layers.

Reed: His favorite season is autumn and he generally likes clear or overcast weather best, but he does like rain & storms sometimes too. However, (at least postwar) he has a strong preference for hot temperatures- he’s having a great time if it’s 80°F+, and he’d probably have a great time living out west where he can fully commit to acting like a lizard. He’s actually really well suited for cold climates due to the mutation that causes him to have a low body temperature, but there’s just kind of a disconnect there so he usually feels cold unless the air’s warmer than he is.

Delta: They love late spring & early summer best, & their favorite weather is clear or overcast. As far as temperatures go- they run very hot and they strongly prefer when it’s cool out. They’re typically happiest when it’s somewhere around 40°F-50°F, where they don’t really have to worry about wearing layers or having things freeze if left outside but not warm enough where they’re uncomfortable.

Life, Molly mused, was a funny thing.  It could go from seeming incredibly bleak to impossibly bright in an instant.

Such was the case for her over the past few weeks.  After being forced out by her awful ex-flatmate, she was now living with Sherlock Holmes... the boy she fancied.  Granted, it wasn’t the sort of “living with him” that raised eyebrows and suggestive remarks.  She was simply his flatmate, but that was far more than she’d ever expected to be for him.
