The oldest contestants currently in the match (and by oldest, I mean “the date of their first appearance”, not their actual ages) are Magneto, Jean Grey, Bobby Drake/Iceman, and Scott Summers/Cyclops. All four of them first appear in X-Men #1 in 1963.

The youngest contestant currently in the match (again, in terms of the dates of their first appearance, not actual age) is Gwendolyn Poole/Gwenpool, who first debuted in Howard the Duck #1 in 2015.

Of the contestants, only Laura Kinney/Wolverine appeared first on screen -- her first ever appearance was in Season 3, Episode 10 of X-Men: Evolution in August of 2003. This would be later followed by her first comic appearance in NYX #3, in December of 2003.

As far as classic teams go: the 33 characters remaining include three of the original five X-Men (Jean, Bobby, Scott), four of the classic nine New Mutants (Xuân Cao Mạnh/Karma, Dani Moonstar/Mirage, Roberto da Costa/Sunspot, and Illyana Rasputin/Magik -- Dani, Xuân, and Roberto are also founding members), and two people who have two first appearances (both Illyana and Nathan Summers/Cable appear in canon continuity as babies/toddlers prior to appearing later under their aliases -- Illyana appears in Giant-Sized X-Men #1 in 1975 and Nathan appears in Uncanny X-Men #201 in 1985). Two contestants are also part of the iconic Giant-Sized X-Men team created in 1975 -- Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler and Ororo Munroe/Storm. Two members of the original Generation X remain (Monet St. Croix/M/Penance and Jubilation Lee/Jubilee), as well as two from the Academy X era (David Alleyne and Megan Gwynn, from the New Mutants second generation team and the Paragons, respectively), three if you choose to count Laura Kinney/Wolverine, who joined the remaining students of New X-Men vol. 2 just after M-Day.

All the contestants save nine made their first appearances in X-books (X-Men, Giant-Sized X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, New Mutants, X-Factor, X-Force, Generation X, X-Men: Evolution and New X-Men). The ones who do not first appear in X-books are Mystique (Ms. Marvel #18 in 1978, though she technically had a cameo appearance two issues prior), Xuân Cao Mạnh/Karma (Marvel Team-Up #100 in 1980), Anna Marie Lebeau/Rogue (Avengers Annual #10, 1981), Dani Moonstar/Mirage and Roberto da Costa/Sunspot (both in Marvel Graphic Novel #4 in 1983), Billy Kaplan-Altman/Wiccan (Young Avengers #1, 2005), Tommy Shepherd/Speed (Young Avengers #10, 2006), Eden Fesi/Manifold (Secret Warriors #4, 2009), and Gwendolyn Poole/Gwenpool (Howard the Duck #1, 2015).

Demographically speaking, four characters in the tournament are canonically Jewish -- Magneto, Kate Pryde, Billy Kaplan-Altman/Wiccan, and Bobby Drake/Iceman (thanks for the reminder, @/ant-ifascottlang!) Though it hasn’t been confirmed, one might assume that Tommy Shepherd/Speed and Lorna Dane/Polaris are also Jewish, being related to them.

The 70s and the 80s are proving themselves to be the most popular -- 8 candidates that were created in the 70s are still in the tournament (Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler, Ororo Munroe/Storm, Illyana Rasputin/Magik, Mystique, Jean-Paul Beaubier/Northstar, Jeanne-Marie Beaubier/Aurora, Kitty/Kate Pryde, and Emma Frost/White Queen), and 8 characters created in the 80s are still in the tournament as well (Irene Adler/Destiny, Xuân Cao Mạnh/Karma, Anna Marie Lebeau/Rogue, Dani Moonstar/Mirage, Roberto da Costa/Sunspot, Nathan Summers/Cable, Julio Richter/Rictor, and Jubilation Lee/Jubilee).

Of the other decades: seven characters were introduced in the 2000s (Eloise Phimister/Negasonic Teenage Warhead, David Alleyne/Prodigy, Laura Kinney/Wolverine, Megan Gwynn/Pixie, Billy Kaplan-Altman/Wiccan, Tommy Shepherd/Speed, and Eden Fesi/Manifold), five were introduced in the 60s (Magneto, Jean Grey, Bobby Drake/Iceman, Scott Summers/Cyclops, and Lorna Dane/Polaris), and four were introduced in the 90s (Remy Lebeau/Gambit, Lucas Bishop, Neena Thurman/Domino, and Monet St. Croix/M/Penance). Gwendolyn Poole/Gwenpool is the only character remaining in the tournament to be introduced after 2010.

One character is canonically Muslim -- Monet St. Croix/M/Penance.

Eleven characters are canonically LGBTQ+: Bobby Drake/Iceman, Mystique, Jean-Paul Beaubier/Northstar, Kitty/Kate Pryde, Irene Adler/Destiny, Xuân Cao Mạnh/Karma, Julio Richter/Rictor, David Alleyne/Prodigy, Billy Kaplan-Altman/Wiccan, Tommy Shepherd/Speed, and Gwendolyn Poole/Gwenpool.

Laura Kinney/Wolverine, Remy Lebeau/Gambit (thanks for the reminder, @/souldagger!) and Megan Gwynn/Pixie have been confirmed by writers to be queer, but there has been no on-panel confirmation for any of them beyond Pixie’s appearance/alternate dimension self in Secret Wars.

Without counting the upcoming Uncanny Avengers, at least three characters have been recurring Avengers -- Anna Marie Lebeau/Rogue, Roberto da Costa/Sunspot, and Eden Fesi/Manifold. Rogue and Sunspot also notably led teams of Avengers. Several other candidates have been Young Avengers -- David Alleyne/Prodigy, Billy Kaplan-Altman/Wiccan (who was a founding member), and Tommy Shepherd/Speed.

Ten characters are mutants of color -- Ororo Munroe/Storm is Kenyan-American and grew up in Cairo, Xuân Cao Mạnh/Karma is Vietnamese, Dani Moonstar/Mirage is Indigenous American, specifically Cheyenne, Roberto da Costa is Afrolatino and from Brazil, Julio Richter/Rictor is Mexican, Jubilation Lee/Jubilee is Chinese-American, Lucas Bishop is Aboriginal Australian/Black American (according to Chris Claremont, who confirmed that Bishop is indeed descended from Aboriginal Australian mutant Gateway), Monet St. Croix/M/Penance is Monacan-Algerian, David Alleyne/Prodigy is a Black American, and Eden Fesi/Manifold is Aboriginal Australian.

While Laura Kinney/Wolverine first appeared as a visibly brown girl in X-Men: Evolution, her design has since been lightened and she does not have a confirmed ethnicity.

Only eight of the remaining contestants have never appeared in live-action adaptations -- Irene Adler/Destiny, Xuân Cao Mạnh/Karma (though her name is shown on a computer screen in X2: X-Men United), Jean-Paul Beaubier/Northstar, Jeanne-Marie Beaubier/Aurora, David Alleyne/Prodigy, Megan Gwynn/Pixie, Eden Fesi/Manifold, and Gwendolyn Poole/Gwenpool. Of these, only Karma, Penance, Prodigy, Manifold, and Gwenpool have no on-screen appearances at all -- the others appear in the various animated series (Destiny has a recurring appearance in X-Men: Evolution, Pixie pops up in Wolverine and the X-Men, and the Beaubier twins appear in the X-Men cartoon of the 90s). Otherkin Rumours Debunked

Hi! It's Pine Fairfoxie with a Big Long Post! I've been wanting to make something like this for a long time. When I see negative comments, rumours, and propaganda about otherkin, I already know they're untrue. But not often do I examine exactly why. Today I'll be doing just that, and hopefully contributing to the common knowledge of our community. So without further ado, let's have a look at the 11 most common rumours and misconceptions about Otherkin.

(Note: I use Otherkin as an umbrella term that includes Therians.)

1. "You're doing it for attention!"

This is usually the opposite of the truth. Otherkin generally like to stick to our tight knit communities of peers who understand us. We usually don't tell anyone IRL, or we risk being disrespected and ridiculed. As for me, almost no one in my life knows, not my family or even my best friends. My romantic partner knows, simply because I want to be fully myself around him. Even then, I usually indulge in my most obvious otherkin urges when I'm by myself only. I don't want any attention for this and I don't want people to view me differently. I want my human disguise to work, yknow? That being said, some otherkin do like attention and are flashy about it. What in the world is wrong with that?

2. "Otherkin is a mental illness/dangerous for mentally ill people!"

Look, it's not that there's not a deep end you can go off because there definitely is, but most of us are perfectly reasonable about our identities. Otherkin in itself is not a mental illness, though it does intersect with many mental illnesses. However, most people who tell their personal therapist about their otherkin identity are told that it isn't dangerous, and many are even willing to work with you on solutions to ease the less fun parts of being otherkin and will encourage you to identify as otherkin if it improves your life in some way. Though otherkin CAN be a backdrop to delusions or even clinical lycanthropy, these are special cases and not the norm, and are treated accordingly. Either way, this is no excuse to bully or ostracize us, and doing so is blatantly ableist.

3. "You're faking/it's all made up"

Faking what? A feeling? An experience? A personal identity? There's no faking any of these things, which at its core is what otherkin is. Any way you choose to contextualize your life is all made up, because language and society are made up. Humans are a type of animal capable of complex philosophical thought and self actualization. There's nothing fake about that. If someone is pretending to be someone who's not themself, the best thing to do is wait it out. It is exhausting to be anything other than your true self and anyone who tries will not sustain it for long. If otherkin is a phase for some people, let them have their fun and move on.

4. "It's just roleplay"

Many otherkin like to roleplay. But they are not the same thing. At the end of the day, a roleplayer goes back to being their normal self. For otherkin, this IS our normal selves.

5. "It's the same as furries"

Some furries are otherkin, some otherkin are furries. Some people keep the two distinct, some don't. Furry is simply an art form. Otherkin is an identity.

6. "There are no otherkin of bugs and fish and unpopular animals, only pretty looking things like wolves and foxes and dragons."

False! There are in fact many bugkin, many kintypes of "undesireable" animals, and rare animals too! I know of someone who's isopodkin. As for why there are mostly mammals and "cool/pretty" kintypes out there, well, humans are mammals. Of course it would be more likely that you'd discover your fox self than your hagfish self. Some people don't even know their kintype exists, and may go their whole lives unaware of their connection to a very niche animal, and may even write it off as a fascination. The anatomy of mammals is easier for us to understand, so of course a foxkin would be more likely to stumble upon their true nature than a hagfishkin who's never even heard of hagfish. And then, a foxkin is more likely to enjoy being a fox than a hagfishkin is to enjoy being a hagfish, and therefore is more likely to devote time and energy to indulging it online.

7. "Otherkin steal art and images!"

This is true, unfortunately, our community is rampant with unsourced and uncredited images. Many of us in the community are working to reduce the amount of stolen and unethical content in our tags by spreading awareness of the issue and promoting properly credited or original content. This is not a facet by which you should judge the community as a whole, and many of us do make beautiful original art and take our own photos.

8. "Otherkin are all children"

Nah, we've been around online since mailing lists were a thing. The oldest known otherkin mailing list was Elfkind Digest and the oldest online forum was alt.horror.net/werewolves (I hope I got that right?) Thing is, the oldest of otherkin like to hang out on forums and generally keep to their tight knit communities. Tumblr has almost all ages on it, but the more frequent posters tend to be younger. Tiktok also has all ages but is mostly children. I've watched the Tumblr otherkin community grow up together and I think we've become more nuanced than before. I think this will happen too with the kids on whatever new social media this community finds its way to. I think kids and younger people are more inclined to post more frequent and flashy content that everyone sees. A Tiktok moodboard is going to naturally get more publicity than a long and carefully worded essay by an older community member. If you're not seeing adults you might just be at the kids' table.

9. "It's a white people thing"

Entirely False! I know/have known many otherkin of colour and otherkin from all around the world. Otherkin is non-denominational and multicultural and if you erase that you're erasing a significant foundation of the community. No community is completely devoid of racism, unfortunately. But we are still a diverse group. I can acknowledge that otherkin is prevalent in countries with internet access because, well, we find each other on the internet. It also stands to reason that in a society founded on white supremacy, a white person is more likely to feel safe/comfortable expressing themselves in public spaces. I honestly think that this is a throwaway line made to ridicule/discredit us for being "weird," but if you seriously do think that only white people can be otherkin, then perhaps you're the one who needs to go outside.

10. "Otherkin are zoophiles/practice bestiality"

False. The exceeding majority of otherkin are outspoken against all forms of animal abuse. When an abusive situation in the community comes to light, the most common practice is to cut ties, denounce the behaviour, and spread awareness of the issue to keep each other safe. Some people may incorporate otherkin into their kink scene. What they do behind closed doors with consenting (human/human shaped) adults continues to be none of our business.

11. "Otherkin is a cult"

Otherkin might just be one of the most misunderstood communities on the internet today. But at its core it is about self discovery, personal connections, and community. And I will always be proud to be one of us.

Otherkin is not a cult because there is no leader trying to take your money and bodily autonomy. If someone is doing this to you directly under the guise of the otherkin identity, which, yes, has happened before, you need to get safely away from that person/group. Cults can and will use anything to try to recruit you. This is why keeping your identity private online is so so important! If someone claims to possess secret knowledge, wants you to join their pack with extremely strict/authoritarian rankings, is asking you for money, or insists on knowing your location/identity, these are big red flags and those people should be blocked and avoided.

Have you known that a ship exists, but you have never thought of it that much until one day you realize you ship it and you don't know how it happened? Or have you thought that a ship wouldn't work but then somehow were convinced otherwise? Or you didn't know about a ship and suddenly said ship is everywhere and you can't help but fall in love with it? Well, then this contest is for you!

Shipping is a very funny part of any media! There are ships and ships, some cannon you love or hate, some no-cannon that you wish they had ended up together... and ships you don't know how you ended up shipping.

Really, there are ships you don't know how you ended up shipping! One day you are chill, happy with your life, and the next you are obsessing with a ship you might not even have known that it existed. In fact, that has happened to me twice just this year, so I decided to create a contest for those ships!

Rules:

Please, be respectful to everyone. Don't be rude to someone just because you don't like the ship or be mean in the tags or reblogs. Let everyone enjoy what they enjoy.

Propaganda is allowed and encouraged as long as you follow the first rule!

You can submit any ship you want, however, because I am not very familiar with a lot of media, I will ask you to please refrain from submitting any ship that you think might cause controversy or if they come from a very controversial media (like Harry Potter or South Park). You will be helping me a lot if you do this!

There are three exceptions to the above rule is that you CAN'T submit an illegal ship, nothing that features an adult with an underage. These ships will be instantly banned.

Also, for this contest, I will not accept OC's as part of the ship.

And last but not least, nothing that features real people. Singers, actors, youtubers, streamers, NO-ONE of flesh and meat.

The ship doesn't have to be cannon, they might not even interact in cannon, who cares? As long as you don't know how you ended up shipping them, then you can submit it! You can even submit characters from different media!

You can submit as many ships as you want but don't submit the same ship twice. Number of entries will not have that much of an influence in deciding if a ship enters or not.

Instead, I added a question for you to tell how you realized you shipped this. It can be anything! You didn't know about the ship but one day you saw a cute fanart of them and OMG they are adorable together; you didn't think of them as a couple but someone convinced you that they are pretty cute together and know you are ready to sink with the ship; or you know that the ship isn't that good in the story they are from, but my god, how could you not ship them?

This is not mandatory, of course, but the funniest and most interesting stories will have a better chance of entering the tournament.

The mcu/netflix daredevil show was inspired by Man Without Fear, one of the worst DD runs written by Frank Miller that was so bad it got retconned. Thanks to the mcu's popularity, comics are now getting mcu-ified and Matt is one of those cases. In all of Daredevil, a majority of runs showed Matt being non-religious or at least have some aspects of lapsed catholicism. Unfortunately because the netflix show is so popular, chip zdarksy, the current writer for Daredevil, decided to make Matt just like his mcu counterpart except 100x worse. You know how ao3 fanfic writers write characters in such an OOC way that it hurts to read? Zdarsky does exactly like that but worse. He made Matt a caricature of what a catholic person would be. Matt is extremely unlikable in a way that isn't entertaining where he goes around preaching about god 24/7 and calls anyone whose killed someone a murderer especially if they did it by accident. First red flag was when he interacted with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. He's interacted with them many times in older runs, knows who they are, knows that they have killed before, and is their lawyer. Here, he learns about them killing (again) and calls them murderers and leaves them. I'm not kidding when I say Matt preaches about God every second because even in his thoughts he's like ""This is God's way"" whenever he goes out as Daredevil, pretty much ignoring the real reasons why he's Daredevil in the first place. He became Daredevil because he wanted justice for his father's murder, simple as that. He knows the law system is flawed and wants to change it and also go against it. Matt being a hypocrite is fun, but in the current run, he's absolutely obnoxious about it. In previous runs, he has hung out with Elektra multiple times with the knowledge that she kills people only for this run, she suddenly isn't trustworthy because she kills people. Matt's characterization has gotten so bad to the point where Daredevil fans joke about him being in his youth pastor era and how the way he preaches about god and uses it as excuses to commit violence comes off as very much crusader colonizer. Daredevil fans like myself are only wishing for Matt to die at this point because the character we've come to love and enjoy reading is no longer there and until a better writer shows up, we have to deal with this version. And this version pushes the whole ""Catholic Matt Murdock"" narrative despite the fact that in a majority of dd comics he isn't religious. It's so bad, just go through breifcasejuice, daresplaining, and xycuro-illuminati's blogs on why this run is terrible.

Again I also can't enforce this but remember the point isn't to find the ship that's the most abusive, or the most toxic, its to find the ship that gets the most despair. For instance there are very few ships on the list I find personally more despairing then kokichi and shuichi, and that's because it's a lot harder to stumble on some of the more kneejerk offensive ships compared to how I cannot escape kokichi and shuichi making out no matter how hard i try. Like I said I can't enforce this but if you're wondering why a ship you think is more inherently toxic is losing, this is probably the reason why.

Hunted Grimwalker au

Okay, another toh grimwalker au concept that was brought on by my musings about how Grimwalkers must have a lot of misconceptions floating around them, as well as demonizing and dehumanizing depictions in articles and media due to the fact that they are canonically implied to be creatures of legends in the modern era, and that clashing with a random thought about the initial plot of the movie "Space sweepers" and yeah… anyway thanks for @sergeantsporks for helping fix the initial concept in a way that it made sense.

Hunter somehow finds out about the draining spell sometime pre-canon and, after having a crisis over the fact that Belos wants to wipe out all life in the demon realm, he decides to leave, as he doesn't want part in having an entire nation die.

He isn't caught initially, but the Collector probably snitches on him but gives him a headstart cause it's more fun that way, so Hunter gets confronted by Belos on his way out the castle. During the confrontation, Belos says something about "having suspicions, but hoping it wasn't true" and "Grimwalkers being made for a purpose", but doesn't give further context before trying to kill Hunter.

Hunter does manage to escape, albeit with some wounds and heavy damage to his staff that makes it break completely soon after he escapes the castle. This is a blessing in disguise as, unbeknownst to Hunter, Belos had a tracker put in that staff.

Since Hunter didn't find out the truth about the Golden guards in this au, he still has some love and attachment towards his uncle despite everything, and even though he can't condone wiping out the entire isles, he still tries to tell himself that maybe Belos was so stricken by the tragedies wild magic causes that he came to the conclussion that this world is beyond repair and thus wants to put it out of its misery, so essentially that Belos is a man with sympathetic motives that went too far. Or maybe the Titan is unhappy with people living off of His dead body at all and wants them gone for it. Essentially, Hunter still refuses to believe Belos would do something maliciously. He doesn't have much time to think about the thing about grimwalkers Belos mentioned, until…

While he's in some town, freshly on the run, scrounging up a disguise and trying to figure out what to do next, Belos makes an isles-wide public announcement telling people about the sad discovery that who he thought was his nephew that he had taken in after his family was wiped out by wild magic was actually a grimwalker made from the bones of his real nephew by wild witches in an attempt to infiltrate the castle, and now he's on the run with vital information that could put the isles in jeopardy. Belos then gives information and description on the grimwalker, specifically noting the unnaturally intense redish-magenta eyes as a key difference between them and a real witch. So yes, Hunter has a massive bounty on his head, and is made out to be a monster you should not get deceived by as it tries to blend in with other people. Propaganda

Again, due to not knowing the whole story of the grimwalkers and Belos' family like he does in canon, and due to still having an emotional attachment to Belos and the belief that Belos at least cared for him- well, the "real" Hunter, he actually does believe the propaganda about grimwalkers himself. He just thinks that maybe some of the details have been exagerrated to make him seem more dangerous than he really is, but it's all based on truth. Belos wouldn't lie to people, he wouldn't be so harsh on his actual family, right? Big identity crisis and self-loathing ensues.

He hesitates to even think of himself as Hunter anymore due to the fact that it's supposed to be the "real" Hunter's name, and he's just a copy made from his bones. But he didn't know that, and this was the only name he'd ever known, so who is he then? Maybe it's not important, it's not like he really has many chances to tell anyone his name nowadays anyway.

Hunter manages to find some tinted glasses and goggles to hide his eyes.

He sleeps in multiple abandoned beast burrows and it's actually oddly comfortable due to being subconsciously reminded of the earth he grew in.

Remember guys, there is no Flapjack yet. He is completely alone at first.

He mostly survives off the foraging skills he gained in scout training and, with his selkiedomus skin, he dives into the boiling sea to retrieve items to sell.

He sells to Eda sometimes. She does not know he's a grimwalker at first.

Hunter knows about the Day of unity plans, but since mostly everyone is trying to kill him without even waiting for an explanation, that information is useless if nobody will believe him. So he knows the world will end in a year, and he's powerless to stop it, especially when he's struggling to survive at all.

Hunter believes the stuff about being created to infiltrate, thinking that maybe his nature made his betrayal of Belos inevitable, and he did complete his purpose now, so at first he's like: "Okay so if wild witches made me to infiltrate Belos, and it turns out that Belos is planning something bad, then maybe wild witches are okay? No, but if they still killed a kid to do this- but maybe it was a sacrifice they had to make, since everyone will die from the draining spell anyway? So, now that I know parts of his plan, do I find the wild witches that created me and report back to them? Will I be disposed of afterwards? Will I die automatically after the task is complete?!"

He spends some time going around trying to find his creators. It is a very weird experience for both parties involved.

Hunter, coming up to Eda: "Did you make me?"

Eda: "Did I WHAT!?"

If you couple this with the trans Eda headcanons that I saw a few times in the fandom, along with the fact that Caleb is actually related to the Clawthornes and Hunter does have some Clawthorne-typical traits himself, Eda could deadass have a moment where she's like, thinking back on some of the exes she had around 16-ish years ago, like "Shit, did I?"

She figures out he's a grimwalker soon enough, but boy were those some stressful few minutes. And then she realizes that that's the grimwalker she's talking to and yeah this situation's a mess. (This scenario probably won't be canon, at least not completely, but I put it in cause it was funny and the entire rest of the au is sad af)

Eda doesn't believe Belos is telling the true story about the grimwalker, but due to the fact that Eda was an urban legend junkie, she read up on a lot of misconception-ladden legends about grimwalkers, so she's still wary of Hunter at first. She has a talk with Bat Queen once the subject is brought up during a potion delivery, since Bat Queen was alive back when grimwalkwers were still around, and she confirms that most of this stuff Belos is saying is untrue. That and seeing the very obviously beat up and constantly on-edge kid convinces her that this is really just a kid in a really bad situation.

Both Eda and Bat Queen try to offer help, but Hunter is for obvious reasons distrustful and only ever accepts help with a metaphorical ten foot pole. They later accounted for that by providing help in equally roundabout ways.

There is more stuff to this au but that's all I'm writing for now.

LORD DOMINATOR PROPAGANDA: How often is it that you get a villain whose motive is passion & love & fun, whose personality majorly reflects those things, who massively comes off as aro-coded, and who is presented as being EPIC and RIGHT for hating when ppl make romantic advances towards her & for shutting fools tf down for having the gall to assume she'd want to date them or that it'd even be appropriate to consider asking her out in the first place!??! (It's like hitting on someone while they're working but 100x worse bc her work is being The Big Bad!) Each time she does so, it is in NO WAY framed as evil of her for harshly rejecting dudes, EVEN WHEN SHE DOES SO TO ONE OF THE MCs!!!

There's an entire story arc about one of the beloved villain MCs havin a big dumb crush on her, and it's constantly portrayed as inane and also sexist for him to pursue her (or even be encouraged to) and to make all the hetero/amatamornative assumptions that he does. It's all buildup to her RIGHTEOUSLY putting him & his enablers in their place and stomping his inappropriate advances to pieces. We're meant to root for her in that regard the ENTIRE ARC, and that's made very evident at every turn; the show's voices of reason always point out that treating her as Love Interest Character™ is bad!! Even when loverboy ~changes~ to be considerate of what she may want instead of purely caring about how bad HE wants to date her, even when his approach is "fixed" to be a ""sweet, grand gesture,"" the writing still goes, "nO THIS IS STILL INCREDIBLY WEIRD WTH" and commits to the buildup of her inevitable harsh rejection of him being SATISFYING & RIGHT OF HER. And bc leaving it at that isn't cool enough, it's literally the thing that leads into her AMAZING villain song that further drills in how typecasting women & girls as love interests (or anything else) purely bc of their gender is stupid & wrong, and how she's very happy as she is, without romance in her life!!! And as she sings, she up and destroys a planet that's entirely themed around romance and dating AND GOD DOES IT GO HARD. She LITERALLY kills amatanormativity dead.

Oh, and on top of all this, the reason the crush arc even happened in the first place... was bc Wander thought that if he set Dom & Hater up together, them having romantic love in their lives would "cancel out all their evil." His best friend (& voice of reason character) points out that not only can people have that kinda love in their lives and still be evil, two villains could even become TWICE AS EVIL. The lesson there: Romance ISN'T an inherent force of good!!! Nor is any kind of love, genuine or not!!! Dominator's villain song also majorly proved that bc it stressed how she's happy & FULL of love for her life exactly the way it is!!! She doesn't need Hater's romance or Wander's friendship to be happy, nor would either thing make her happy at all! In fact, it's made pretty obvious that having either of those things would make her (and both the other characters) UNHAPPY!! It's a recurring moral of the story that happiness is unique to everyone; you can't force what makes some people happy onto everybody as a one-size-fits-all source of happiness, and romance is a MAJOR example of that! Just because it makes some people happy doesn't mean that it's like that for all people, and half the protags get to learn that through the fact that Dom does NOT want romance in her life and is HAPPY that way! Lord Dominator's intense love for living her life the way she wants to live it is actually what makes her so unstoppable!! It can very much be said that she's totally fueled by The Power Of Love, and her love trumps the protags trying to go up to her with, 'umm... the power of romantic love and offering friendship to ALL!' Yeah, NOPE!! She's doing what makes her happy, and that absolutely DEMOLISHES everything stemmed from the concept that romance & heroism tropes would inherently make anyone happy! They can't stand against her with that and hope to win! It DOESN'T work that way!!

And to top it all off, IT'S CONFIRMED THAT SHE WAS WRITTEN AS GAY. A BUNCH OF THE CREW SAW HER AS A LESBIAN AND THEY LEANED INTO IT, AGAIN IN A WAY THAT'S ENTIRELY SEPARATE FROM HER BEING A VILLAIN! There was literally an entire episode dedicated to coding her and the one other female character in the main cast as such, and it was written by a lesbian staff writer!!!!! The intent behind writing her as lesbian is just so.. sincere(? if that's the right word) bc of that, and ik another writer on the crew once spoke about how the team really cares about never writing gags or characters in a way that would imply that being gay is anything outrageous or bad. And on the subject of "lesbian undertones: the episode", it lends itself to the aro lesbian Lord Dominator hc so well because, canonically, there aren't any romantic feelings involved in the story of that ep even tho it was consciously written to have hella lesbian undertones; it's wholly about Dominator temporarily finding a friend in the one other woman in the main cast, and how she's affected by the bond they share on their night out bc she's never had anything like that before. She doesn't want a love life, but something like this she is so gung-ho for!!

No one does it like Lord Dominator.

Side characters think Saiki is bland, Nendo is so ugly that nobody will give him a chance (:() , Kaido has his whole chuuni side to him which is annoying for most (:(), Hairo is Hairo, Toritsuka is Toritsuka, Saiko would probably be third place because of his money status but he is still insufferable to a lot of people, side characters know that Satou is bland (though that could be a good thing who knows, he is my 2nd place) and Akechi would just talk and talk and talk which most people would find annoying. Kuboyasu is pretty good at masking his delinquent side nowadays and has become just an average guy who isn't bland. Some people also prefer bad boys, so there's that I guess.

He could drive me around with his motorbike and could wrestle with me, that's really all i need in life. If powerless Saiki could still ride a motorbike he'd be my second choice, because we actually have a lot in common. Or maybe that's not a good thing…

He is fair, not a pushover, not over strict, gives second chances and forgives children easily for the mistakes children usually make. He's patient, respectful, has never been condescending to the students, goes up and above in his dedication to his work. These are all qualities of a high quality man. He works in his true passion, and I bet he'd do his very best to maintain a healthy work/life balance if he finds someone to share his life with. His students would probably go first, but a man with such ironclad priorities is also respectable and admirable.

So, why *would* Serafall solo all of Dragon Ball?

Damn, didn't think anyone would actually ask that. I'm going to try summarize this instead of going on a massive yapfest like before and finding out there's only a ten picture limit on Tumblr.

Also, slight spoilers for the DxD novels if you care about those things.

This is for fun and Serafall propaganda, so don't take the Serafall wank too seriously.

It still turned into a massive yapfest. So much for summarizing. It was fun enough to write, at least.

In any case, as the leader of the Cult of Serafall, almost 68 members strong, some of which may or may not be Discord bots, I approve this message.

Serafall doesn't solo the DBZ anime though, just the manga. You also can't really use guide statements as mixing/matching guides and taking them at their highest possible interpretation can get real wonky real fast. Looking at you immeasurable speed multiversal Frieza.

We will also be taking Serafall statements at their highest interpretation because I love her and she deserves the best.

TL;DR: Manga Goku is only multi-solar system and MFTL at best. Skip to the next bold text if you want to see what best girl can do.

Anyways, using only the manga Goku is surprisingly weak compared to his anime counterpart. The problem with the manga is, we don't really get many statements or filler that helps Goku, or really any character for that matter.

The best solid statement in the manga that I know of is about Cell who was going to destroy the universe. You have things like Frieza and Cell also being a threat to the universe, but taking the context of their lifespans and the fact they're very powerful with no one to really stop them, it becomes a matter of if they can do it in one attack or if they're going to threaten it overtime. Going with consistency and context, it's most likely the second.

If we do use guides at their highest possible interpretation, that's how we get the macrocosm destroying Frieza who is fast enough to move where time doesn't exist which is less than realistic, to say the least.

Going back to Buu and Goku, we don't even have one galaxy level statement or feat in the manga. In the anime it shows Buu destroying a galaxy and everything, but in the manga the best we get is Supreme Kai yapping about how he destroyed hundreds of planets.

This isn't a particularly good look on its own, so we'd have to scale them off Cell and Supreme Kai, as weird as that sounds.

Starting out, we have Cell as a solar system buster. We all know SS2 Gohan is stronger than that, as he pushed back Cell's blast and killed him. We have that infamous statement about how SS2 Goku is as strong as Gohan was in the Cell Games, but we'll go beyond that and give Goku the benefit of the doubt to give him a boost.

First, Supreme Kai did state he can one shot Frieza, he sensed SS2 Gohan's energy, and he knew the saiyans beat Frieza.

Fast forward to Babidi's ship, he saw Pui Pui and was spooked to the point where he thought himself, Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan would need to jump him. Keep in mind, four bare minimum Frieza level fighters to jump Pui Pui.

Vegeta then managed to completely dominate Pui Pui in his base.

Once again, giving Goku the benefit of the doubt, let's assume Gohan did not get any weaker over the seven years and say his SS2 form was the same power as in the Cell Games, meaning the Supreme Kai thought even SS2 Gohan wouldn't be enough for Pui Pui and base Vegeta would be at that level.

So after all that, base Goku should be a solar system buster.

The problem is even our milky way galaxy is approximately 800 million times larger than our solar system.

Using the x400 SS3 multiplier isn't really reaching that threshold.

Even if want to go off the rails and give mastered super saiyan something like a x5,000 multiplier because screw it, it's stronger than grade 3, it would still only be 40,000 which is far off from galaxy level.

Just quickly calculating speed with power levels assuming they're linear, Goku dodged the solar flare in DB with a power level of 180. We'll make that the baseline for light speed. Namek Goku has a power level of 150,000,000 which is a difference of 833,333 times, that's the last power level we have and I don't really want to speculate but we can safely place Goku above one million times light speed.

Even if you don't accept that and use the special beam canon used against Raditz which is light speed, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Trust me, it won't matter in the end anyway.

TL;DR: Serafall is bare minimum universal and immeasurable speed.

Trihexa takes a casual stroll through Heaven in volume 21 and destroys that infinite dimension. In order to destroy an infinite 3D space, you'd need infinite 3D power, which Trihexa did.

Serafall is one of the people chosen to fight Trihexa for the next couple thousand years, being sealed away with it in a constant battle. Considering she can damage Trihexa and take attacks from it, using the AP = Durability rule we can safely put her on or around his level.

Obviously it's only still alive because it's regeneration. Serafall would have drop kicked that bozo otherwise. Universal Serafall confirmed.

She gets immeasurable speed through Gasper as he freezes time and she can still frolic around and talk about magical girls like nothing happened. She's just that powerful.

She should also be able to move in the dimensional gap which may not contain time as Gasper can't use his sacred gear that, as there isn't really any time to stop.

100% immeasurable speed.

If we really go want to go further, we can argue the Biblical God and all the Gods Trihexa defeated were as strong as they are in their real mythologies, but that's just bullying at that point.

Hey, so I just wanted you to know that your blog's changed the way I look at veganism and the livestock industry.

Unfortunately I won't be going vegan anytime soon because I have disordered eating habits and I'm not in a place where I'm ready for that big of a change, but I'm definitely gonna try some new things.

I think what really hit me is that you're right about leftists wanting to Do Something but covering their ears and yelling whenever veganism is brought up, despite it being something that would genuinely make a difference. It IS way worse for the environment to eat animal products and all the animal industries want us to turn on each other and hate quinoa so we keep buying into the propaganda they're spewing out on the daily and make fun of vegans instead of cheering you on. Maybe it's because a lot of the interactions vegans and non vegans have can get hostile on both sides, or maybe its just some imagined bitterness being stoked by outside forces (ie the industries that want us to hate each other.)

Some people have stronger willpower than others but that doesn't give us the right to be jerks to those people just because their mere existence makes us feel bad. Leftists should instead try to make changes where we can, and where we can't we can at least acknowledge the facts and try to do a bit better. I think there's this perception that vegans dislike non-vegans as a rule and accuse everyone else of hating animals and vice versa. But ignorance and willful ignorance are very different things. Even if leftists want to pretend that there are ways of being fully ethical when using animal products, we can't pretend that the industry isn't driving the planet closer to the brink of environmental collapse. If we can hate oil companies with such united vitriol, why aren't we hating factory farming with the same enthusiasm? Like I said, leftists should stop trying to poke holes in a fact-based, bulletproof argument and if we can't change for whatever reason we should support the people who can.

We all have to limp towards some kind of sustainable life together now and I think instead of being so indignant, non-vegans should be saying: 'Vegans do have it right, animal industries are cruel and destroying the planet, but I want to keep my life the same because I'm comfortable like this. I'm not ready to change, but maybe I can do things differently where I can afford it.' and vegans could then say: 'We can help.'

honestly being vegan for some time now, the thing that bothers me is truly anti-vegans and their willful ignorance, not non vegans, and especially not non-vegans who ally themselves with veganism.

people change at their own pace and and have different struggles they face.

from the point I started to reduce my meat consumption to when I became vegan, it probably took me five years? and I was vegetarian for a year with the clear plan to go vegan before I made the change.

it should be a sustainable change that lasts. And anyone who is open to questioning their beliefs and habits is welcome here, and I‘m always willing to help where I can :)

Of course, beating the game isn't going to free him from Toontown's inky clutches, but we don't have to tell him that, right? Of course not.

Darien is a normal guy in every way possible, except for the fact that his boss, Anthony, has been steadily replacing all of his coworkers with robots. So, in response, Darien started bonding aggressively with the robots, bringing them home-baked goods and motor oil and listening to their problems, until said robots unanimously decided "Yeah, we like this guy, we're keeping him.". When his boss got word of the robots liking Darien more than him, he conspired to turn Darien into a robot, too, and would have succeeded if said robots didn't revolt against Anthony, turning *him* into the robot instead. Now with a legion of incredibly loyal automatons behind him, Darien has become the de-facto owner of the company, a fact that stresses him out to no end, and drives Anthony to the end of his wit with jealousy.

Mendel is, quite literally, so just some guy that I refuse to develop what he was like or what his name was pre-isekae, because his past is literally so generic and unimportant. He was NPC-core. He was nothingburger. His only friend is a 17-year-old who physically cannot stop themself from stealing things. Even now his only hobby is playing video games all day. He almost died a few days after being isekaed because he didn't want to leave his house. He's scared to walk around because he thinks the robots will shoot him point-blank just for being near them. I want to grab him and spin him around like that gif of a chimpanzee. He's even a furry.

Darien is 27 years old and feels absolutely nothing but apathy until the robots start bonding with him. He would be a he/they if he stopped to think about it for two seconds. He thinks Anthony is a shithead, which he is, but doesn't think he deserved to be turned into a robot, even if that's what Anthony was planning to do to him. He might even be asexual.

If ur not up for your blog to become a discussion hub you can delete this ask but notthatalex' analogy of "but for some reason, people are really scared to roast you, excluding you entirely from that dynamic" I don't think quite makes sense. Within a friend group there Will be healthy boundaries. So therefore there should be some too when we joke to an audience. People roast and joke their friends because they know each other, have given the ok and know they dont hold ill will - if that isn't the case there's a clear problem that should be ideally addressed! Comedians like the ones in Smosh have a platform which I think is ok to demand it to be used responsibly. There's a difference in making a joke where the punchline is "get it ? it's a gay guy, that's funny on its own" and making a joke that happens to include gay guys/their experience for example. Also as much as we want them to, jokes can't exist in a political void. It's already been well documented that memes, jokes, comedy can be absolutely used as a propaganda tool and that some "jokes" are actually meant to represent the creator's political stance. A good example from not too long ago is Sacha Baron Cohen who lately appeared in the news for his Zionist beliefs, while he's built his career around making fun of "arabs" that people have been giving him the benefit of the doubt for for years saying it's "satire".

But yeah, I would say I'm a bit more in favor of restricting comedians than Alex, but I think what you're saying is kind of misreading him. He made it pretty clear that there are good jokes and bad jokes you can make about anything. And my biggest opinion is, aside from the fact that yes, "I'm a gay guy and that's funny on its own" is problematic... It's also not funny. If you ask me, the biggest thing that makes something funny is surprise. And bigoted jokes are hacky. They're not creative. "Haha this group is bad/weird" is a thing we've all heard before. It's not unfunny when my family makes a joke about Chinese people eating dogs because it's racist, even though it very much is, it's unfunny because I've heard that joke a million times.

But I think the friendship example is actually perfect because roasting a friend requires knowledge of said friend beyond hacky stereotypes, so it's going to have to go beyond easy bigoted jokes. Again, I do agree with Alex in the sense that you can joke about anything, but you've got to do it well. And again, bigoted jokes just aren't funny. They're all overplayed. The only reason people find them funny is because they agree with them.

And yeah, it does suck to be the person in the friendgroup who feels like they're being treated with kid gloves. It's all about knowing people's lines. I know seeing the TNTL roasts of Angela made me so uncomfortable at first because I basically am Angela and the particular points they were hitting are things I'm super sensitive about. So if I were her, I would have felt like absolute shit. And then I saw her say how much that made her happy because she felt seen, and how it meant so much to her. And that's made me actually really embrace that view of it and encourage my friends to roast me like that. Because you know what? This is who I am, and I do want you all to see me in my cringe glory. Because being cringe is a good thing. So like, to me, that's what Alex is saying. You've got to know the lines, but imagine how it'd look if they never went after Angela.

Also I don't exactly keep up with Cohen, but I have seen... Whatever the name of that movie was over my brother's shoulder and needless to say, it was a yikes and I don't know how we let anyone who made it say he was at all progressive. I mean, to be fair, of course it was a yikes. If my dad likes a thing, that's always a red flag.
