Sirene asteroid (1009) observations

Sagittarius Sirene people appeal to others when they're fulfilling their purpose or having a clear direction in their lives. For example, my cousin has this placement, and she's able to appeal to others when she's so sure about being a dancer, believing that she was made for that, following the direction set by her heart/intuition without questioning it.

I have this placement too, and I think people come to me a lot in search for answers, to understand themselves better since Sagittarius is all about expanding ourselves.

Sirene in the 5th house is about mesmerizing people when you're in the spotlight, being confident and letting yourself shine. Also when performing, so this is a good placement for celebrities. My cousin has this, and she grabs everyone's attention when dancing, plus her personality (5H) is very charismatic.

I also have Sirene in the 5th House, and I'm not so comfortable in the spotlight which to me comes from the Capricorn degree (10°, 22°). This brings delays and challenges when it comes to you expressing or getting used to this alluring energy. You have lessons to learn before you're able to own this energy.

A Leo degree shows that you're confident to use this energy, you were born to be seen and to shine under the spotlight! Guess who has this. Yes, my cousin 💃🏻⭐️ It's worth noting though, that she has insecurities and suffers from anxiety, but she still loves the spotlight and wants to shine.

Libra Sirene attracts people when they show a chill attitude, by wanting to make everyone feel comfortable or included, by using a soft voice and having a great sense of aesthetics. My dad, for example, uses a soft voice when he wants to be polite or liked by others, and shows a super chill attitude with my sister and I's friends. A couple of my girl friends simped for him 😷

My sister has this placement too and she's the type to try and include everyone in the conversation, plus she too softens her voice when being polite or wanting to be liked? She also has a great eye for fashion. And with her friends she appears more chill than how she really is (she's crazy, your honor - in a good way).

Jungkook from BTS has Libra Sirene and his singing voice is very soft compared to what I thought it would sound like at first.

He also has Sirene in the 9th House so he might drawn in more foreign fans than korean. This placement could indicate being alluring when you're open to learn from other cultures or expand your understanding of things. Think about ambiences like college, school, foreing countries.

Scorpio Siren could be appealing when they're intense, reserved, observant, alert. Also, when they're being toxic (controlling or uninterested) or give off that aura of bad boy. For example, one of my exes has this, and he pulled me in with little to no effort, he used to take his time replying to my messages and I waited for him, thinking about what he could be doing and wishing for his attention. 🤢

A high school friend has this placement too, and he had this air or mystery when he actually was doing nothing? He has Scorpio Sun conjunct Sirene, and he wasn't easy to get close to at first. It's like he gave off an air of "I'm on my own, don't bother me", and some girls pinned after him.

Virgo Sirene people are alluring when they keep a humble attitude, lending their attention to you and recognizing they can learn something from anyone. My grandma and two friends (a guy and a girl) sometimes would ask me for advice, to explain something to them or to give them my opinion about something, and as I reply they'd look at me with the utmost attention, not wanting to miss any detail. They look at you recognizing the value of your words and that's so wholesome, it makes you feel heard and appreciated.

Sirene in the 1st House might give a great first impression considering it's the house of beginnings. They might be the person people notice or get curious about first in a group, and nobody knows why; it's unconscious. They also might atract people when they take initiative, which movilizes or motivates others. They seem like they would do good in a leadership position, people would be drawn to listening to them (especially when they're in the energy of the sign their Sirene asteroid falls under).

For example, a Virgo Sirene in the 1st House person might drawn people in by taking iniciative and assuming the role of a leader in a humble way, paying attention to everyone's input and striving to reach their ideal.

You had enjoyed the short break between the Australian and Azerbaijan prix, being able to travel around a bit, but you had noticed some of the most ridiculous rumours appearing as it was obvious the fans had nothing else to do.

You in fact had your own rumour that was quickly shot down. Many started speculating that you were dating Harry Styles as you were both seen in the same city. To say it was random would be an understatement, but you were quick to find humour in it, quickly posting a poorly edited photo of a cutout Harry Styles next to you.

However, your favourite rumour from the break would be that of Fernando and Taylor Swift’s supposed relationship.

The moment you stepped back into the paddock, you could hear Taylor Swift songs blasting from what looked to be Lando’s speaker. This welcoming caused you to laugh as you watched Fernando just walk past it, pretending like he couldn’t hear.

He soon approached you, his stride seeming to falter as he spotted you, already realising how fun you were going to find the next few days. You wiggled your eyebrows at him, a smirk sculpting your features as he shook his head swiftly, trying to get you to stop.

You only continued to walk past him, already plotting the amount of Taylor Swift references you could fit into a conversation.

“So Y/n, how excited are you to be back after the short break?” The interviewer asks as you smile back.

“Very excited to be back, it’s, uh, very enchanting to be here as I quite like this circuit.” You answer, smirking at the camera after you make the reference.

“How well do you think you’ll be able to perform this weekend?” He continues.

“Well, I believe that if we put enough effort into it and give it our all we’ll be able to perform at our best. For the qualifying, I can only hope there will be be a blank space for me to be able to get a personal best and place high up on the grid.” You continue to have a cheeky smile on your face, loving how you’re able to continue with the references.

“Okay, thank you.” The interviewer finishes, you nodding a goodbye before handing him your mic, walking away with a large smile.

You had just finished quali, placing 5th on the grid but still wishing you could have done more. You had noticed a small clash a while back between Alonso and Ocon but still managed to push through.

“ Y/n, are you happy with where you placed today?” An interviewer asks.

“Uhm, well there’s always room for improvement, I believe we could have done better but what’s done is done and now all we need to focus on is how to gain positions on Sunday.” You answer.

“You had only just escaped the incident between Ocon and Alonso as the Alpine’s car had nearly caught onto your car, how do you feel about it?” She questions.

“Well, I’m grateful to have only just missed it as I would have most likely stayed in P7, but in this job you have to be pretty fearless and so I didn’t find it to be much of a concern. In regards to the duo, we’ll just have to hope there’s no bad blood between them.” You throw yet another smirk to the camera before finishing up the interview and walking away.

You finally arrive at a small room, opening the door to see multiple other drivers, including Fernando, sitting down on chairs talking.

Quickly, you walk in, saying hi to the fellow drivers as Alonso sends you a joking glare.

“I saw your interview earlier.” Fernando comments as you smile.

“What can I say? I’m a mastermind at references.” You answer.

“Is that another Taylor Swift reference?” He questions whilst you just shrug your shoulders.

“Maybe.” You only say as Alonso shoots you yet another glare as the others in the room begin to laugh at your teasing, enjoying the embarrassed look on the elder driver's face.

On Andre...

So, I've been picking up on a lot of negative feelings towards Andre within the fandom (some warranted, some unwarranted in my opinion). And I think it comes down to two things:

-Andre is probably one of the least developed of the core group in terms of writing.

-Andre's actor (Chance Perdomo) has some problematic views irl.

I want to focus on the first point however, cuz I'm interested in the character not the actor (Patrick Schwarzeneggar and Claudia Dumit also support Isreal, so I'm choosing to focus my feelings on characters, not the actors if I want to enjoy this show at all).

When I first watched Gen V (before the hyper fixation had kicked in), Chance's performance had been one of my least favourites. I didn't like the weird voice he was doing (turns out he was Brit doing a pretty decent attempt at an "American Jock" type accent) and I thought the actor kept doing a lot of awkward stammers and tics that didn't feel in line with the character (I assumed, that's just how the actor was irl). That is until I watched a cast interview and I learned 2 things:

He is a Brit.

He's actually a very smooth and clear speaker. Which means those mannerisms were an intentional choice by the actor.

Later, once the hyperfixation had truly set in, I was watching a boatload of cast interviews, when I caught a comment underneath one of those videos that totally changed my view of that character and performance during my 4th (maybe 5th) rewatch.

You know how each of the core group's abilities hurts them in some way and thus works as an allegory for some form of personal issue that they are overcoming? i.e.

Marie -> Cutting/Self Harm

Emma -> Eating Disorders

Cate -> Consent

Jordan -> Gender Identity/dysphoria

For a while, I don't really see how Andre's abilities could serve as an allegory for anything. like, yes later on we learn that his powers will cause him damage over time, but that kind of seemed ham-fisted at the last minute, and not really connected to his ability to bend metal.

But back to that one Youtube comment. I can't remember word for word the comment, but to paraphrase, essentially:

The commentor spoke about how they connected to Andre's character a lot because when they were in college, they had developed an auto-immune disease that essentially made them chronically ill.

They talked about being unable to keep up with their peers, while they were supposed to be in their prime physical years, and how much that taxed on their mental health. Constantly feeling left out, constantly self-medicating, and the chronic pain that they just had to grin and bear.

And as soon as I read that, everything I didn't quite understand/connect with in Andre's character suddenly made sense.

What is one of Andre's core personality traits in the group? He's the stoner.

From episode one, there's a scene of him doing drugs in every episode. Cate is constantly asking him if he's high... he's self medicating.

The slow way he talks, the constant blinking and squeezing his face (note the scene when he's yelling at Tek Knight, or after he takes that first hit from Sam, or after he stops the helicopter)... he's in pain.

So many tics and nuances in his behaviour that I initially wrote off, was actually a much more nuanced performance from Chance Perdomo.

And it all coalesces in that final scene when Andre is at Vought tower and learns of his dad's diagnosis. His powers are slowly killing him, making him weaker (like an auto-immune disease. the body attacking itself).

And the doctor asks him if he ever feels light-headed? has he noticed any uncontrollable tics? Andre is hesitant, almost like he's in denial. But you look back at his actions/behaviour throughout the show, and he's been showcasing both those things.

Finally, the scene with the helicopter. Where it's more or less confirmed that Andre's powers are doing to him, exactly what his dad's powers did. I've seen people very critical of that scene. Saying things like, Oh! He's all of a sudden being affected by the use of his powers, but we hadn't seen that previously (which I disagree) and how it seemed "too convenient".

But keep in mind, stopping a decelerating helicopter is the biggest feat of Andre's abilities we'd seen so far in the show. Of course it's going to take a bigger toll on him than all the other times (not to mention he was in pretty big emotional distress. His dad, Cate's betrayal, an attack on the school...). Stress exacerbates illnesses.

The other critique I've seen is, why are Andre's abilities having this affect now? He's supposed to be in his 20s, but his dad made it all the way to his 40s/50s before it was detected... and that's a fair question. I have some theories:

Like certain genetic illnesses, this issue is hereditary. It's not Impossible, that Andre just inherited a stronger ability than his father, and thus stronger blowback on himself.

Andre's chronic drug use might be a chicken or egg situation. Where maybe his chronic drug use exacerbated the damage his abilities were causing him, and as a result he started self-medicating with more drugs, causing a continues cycle of him increasing the damage to himself.

His dad has been shown to have a very stubborn personality (note how he refused to acknowledge when Andre revealed to him the damage their powers were causing them). Perhaps, he had started feeling the symptoms around the same age Andre had, but just kept ignoring it and pushing through up until he reached his limit in his 40s/50s.

Some other reason that writer's haven't revealed yet. The show has been renewed for a second season, and it's obvious these characters have been set up to be integral to the overarching storyline of the boys as a whole. It's entirely possible that there is more potential development for Andre's character in the future, and I think it's fair to give the writers leeway to explore that.

All in all, I just wanted to get my thoughts out about this, and maybe see how everyone else views Andre's character. He seems to be one of the least discussed in the core group, and I feel like his character has a lot of room for more development in the future if the writers approach it correctly.

Opposites attract right?

We’re really different. Lyney and I have been friends since FOREVER, he was an orphan who was adopted and raised by this figure he calls “father” from what I’ve heard father is a fatui harbinger who was apparently a fellow Fontainian 

We met because I saw Lyney on the street one day doing some fun magic tricks. He wasn't very well dressed so I’d thought that I would talk to him, maybe even help him out if he needed food as my family was well off enough to donate to charity.

Lyney seemed harsh at first glance, it turns out that day his twin sister Lynette got taken away by aristocrats. So that day I made a promise to be by his side forever and make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his sister ever again!

I lost contract with Lyney after that and during that time he got adopted by “father” and my mom lost her high paying job for a “undisclosed” reason

Now we’re both in our early 20s and in college, all three of us are studying at “La institution de fontaine éducationnel” or IFÉ. Lyney is studying acting as he’s trying to perform at “la opera epiclese” at some point while Lynette is studying engineering as she is hoping to help her brother cut costs by doing repairs herself. 

Lyney has always been extroverted and quite charming so Lynette is always complaining to you about how her brother has another girlfriend or boyfriend which you always respond to with complaining about how you're always single. 

One day however you’re complaining to Lyney himself about being single while he visits your dorm which leads to an interesting conversation about a way to potentially solve that…

“What? You’re still single with your looks?” Lyney asks while leaning on the wall“WAIT! Does that mean you’re a virgin?” he taunts with a big dumb smirk glued on his face

“W-well uhm- Y'know what? That’s a really weird and uhm, invasive? YEAH invasive question to ask a female friend” you manage to stutter out with as much confidence as possible in this situation

Lyney laughs and offers you a bet, “If you end up sleeping with 5 men by the end of the summer I’ll offer you 200k, but the catch is that you aren’t allowed to fall in love with them. You have to sleep with 5 men, no strings attached” you stare at him  with  confusion while wondering how serious he is but then Lyney adds with a smile “Y’know what for every man after the 5th I’ll add another 50k” 

Lyney extends his hand forward for a handshake “deal?” you think for a moment wondering if this is really worth it. You don’t have enough money to finish your course and with 200K+ you’ll have enough to finish your last 2 years of university, maybe even enough to spoil yourself a bit with new clothing and makeup. 

The only problem was the time frame, you’ll only have 4 months for 5 guys? Surely I can’t do that right? I haven’t slept with a single guy for what? 20 something years?  How can I sleep with 5 in such a short timeframe?

After a lot of consideration you decide to take up his offer so you reach out your hand, but suddenly in a random act of courage or stupidity you add “I’ll accept your offer but on one condition, you’ll be the first guy” Lyney looks taken aback? Confused? Uncertain? No idea, but what you can notice is the light reddining of his cheeks.

“What? Are you repulsed by the idea Lyney? How rude” you questioned in a jokey tone

Lyney’s eyes widened in shock “No no, not AT ALL. I was just surprised you asked in such a uncharacteristically bold manner” he exclaims in mild panic

Her Property (Part 2)

Summary: She got what she wanted.

Warnings: smut but not too bad, breaking into a hotel room?

Aria was spralled out on her pink satin queen bed. The headboard was decorated with fairy lights and Polaroids of Elvis performing on the grand stage. The pillows were in shapes of love hearts and flowers. Her hair hugged the satin sheets, and her dress hiked up to her thighs. She lay there just staring at the giant diamond chandler that hung above her. Her brain was clouded with thoughts.

"I want Elvis, I need Elvis."

She whispered to herself as she remained stuck in her lustful haze. She was willing to do anything to have her man, anything. The sound of the television echoed around the pink room. Suddenly, her eyes widened, and her body jolted as she heard,

"Elvis is in New York."

Coming from the television. She instantly sat up. Her bare feet hit the shiny wooden floor before she ran over to the television at lightning speed. She got on her knees in front of it as her bambi eyes watched the screen like a hawk. Her messy hair and her eerie look only added to her insanity.

"Elvis is in New York City for an interview on 5th Street. He is predicted to be there at 4pm. He is said to be staying at a hotel nearby."

That was all that Aria needed to make her insane thoughts a reality. She looked at the rather large clock that hung on her pink painted wall.

"3.10pm"

She said to herself before getting up and rushing to her closet. She threw all of her clothes on the floor and on her bed until she found the perfect outfit. She picked out a short tight dress that hugged her figure perfectly. It was a cherry red, and it was studded with expensive Ruby's that gleamed and twinkled in the light. She had also picked out a pair of black dolly heels and a black ribbon to sit in her blond luscious curls. Her makeup was perfect. She was perfect. She grabbed her handbag and rushed out of the door.

She walked over to 5th Street. The cold breeze hit her pretty face and pushed her golden hair back. She noticed a big crowd of people and a large black limousine.

"Elvis."

She said to herself before making her way to the crowd. Women screamed like animals and men scoffed as their girlfriends worshipped the godly man that graced their presence. Elvis stepped out of the limo and began to sign autographs and take pictures. He had a smile on his face as always. He was dressed in a silk button-up long-sleeved t-shirt that was colourful. He wore some classic black flares, and of course, he wore his signature gold belt. His dark shades covered his dreamy eyes. His black tarr hair shielded the top part of his shades. He towered over the dozens of women and even the men.

Aria finally got to the crowd, but by the time she arrived, Elvis was already inside. Her heart sunk slightly as she looked at the empty limousine. But she wasn't going to give up that easily. She saw a rather large looking security guard standing near the entrance of the building. She quickly walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder with her acrylic nail that was studded with little diamonds. The man turned around and looked down at her with a frown.

"What?"

He grunted.

"Do you know where the hotel is that Elvis is staying in by any chance?"

She asked politely. She put on her best puppy eyes and stood like a lady. The man looked down at her before pointing to a local hotel that was right across the road. Aria's eyes followed his hand. She nodded before rushing over to the hotel.

She ran across the street as cars honked their horns at her. She stopped in the middle of the street and faced one of the cars.

"Shut up!"

She shouted at the driver before walking off and flicking her hair. She finally got to the hotel. She walked through the entrance as if she owned the place. She saw some of the Memphis Mafia members in the lobby. They were already looking at her up and down. She wasn't surprised. She was a very pretty girl. She swayed her hips and swung her long hair as she walked elegantly over to the vending machine. Her heels were clicking on the marble floor that she graced. She pretended to choose one of the items. It was only a matter of time until she would have the Memphis Mafia at their knees for her.

"3, 2, 1..."

She slowly and quietly counted down.

"Ma'am, don't worry, I can buy ya something from that, I will pay."

Jerry schilling said as he came rushing over to the beauty queen. His blonde hair and smart suit were quite attractive, but Aria was here for Elvis, not Jerry. She turned around to look at the handsome man in his eyes. A sexy grin formed on her pink glossy lips as her long black eyelashes batted.

"Oh, I couldn't accept that."

She said in a high-pitched voice as she wafted her small jeweled out hand. Jerry was quick to respond.

"Oh, no, I can't let a pretty girl like you pay."

He said as he stepped closer to her. Aria smiled slightly as she looked up at him.

"Well in that case, I'll have a cherry cola."

She said as she looked at him with her bambi eyes. Jerry nodded before pressing a few buttons and inserting a few coins into the vending machine. He patiently waited for the cola to come out. He grabbed it and gently handed it over to Aria, who was drowning in her own ego.

"Could I get your name, my lovely?"

"My name is Aria."

She said in a flirtatious tone.

"Well, Aria, that's a pretty name. Tell me what you are doing here."

"I'm just booking a room for the night."

She said.

"I'm also staying here for the night. I don't know if you know already but I work for Elvis and he's staying at this hotel. He's staying in room 222, and I'm in room 234."

He said. He followed his sentence with a flirtatious wink. This was exactly what Aria wanted to hear. Aria smiled and tucked a hair behind her ear before she continued to make small talk with Jerry for what seemed like forever. Once she was finished she walked up to the receptionist and booked her room.

"What room would you like to book ma'am?"

The receptionist lady asked politely.

"Room 221 please, and for one night."

Aria said kindly.

"Ok ma'am."

"Oh, wait. Could you please give me an extra set of keys, I stayed at this hotel before and I lost them, its always better to have a backup."

She said as she fake smiled at the lady. The lady turned around to the key sections. Many different numbers were wrote onto each slot, representing each room.

"Your room 221, so this must be yours?

The receptionist asked.

"Mine is the one that says 222. Another man said that he would have to put my set of keys in the 222 slot since there wasn't any space."

She said as she pointed to the 222 slot. The receptionist furrowed her brows in confusion but she let it slide. Once the receptionist was fully turned around, Aria had to cover her cheeky grin with her hand. The receptionist turned back around and handed her the keys before working again.

"Thankyou ma'am."

She said before walking off with a skip in her step. She walked into the elevator and pressed the button for floor 8. She turned around to look at the mirror that was polished perfectly. She began to rummage through her handbag. She pulled out some lip gloss that was a baby pink. She carefully applied the substance to her plump lips before blowing a kiss to herself. The bell rang to signal that she had reached floor eight. She turned around whilst putting the lip gloss back into her bag. As the doors opened, a large smile cascaded over her face. She walked out of it like a happy child.

She made her way to her room. She fiddled with the keys and turned the handle until it unlocked. She walked in and shut the door behind her. She didn't think twice before throwing her stuff onto the bed and walking straight back out. She checked her watch once she was in the corridor. It's was 4.50pm.

Elvis would be back any minute. She quickly pulled out the silver keys that had the number "222" engraved onto the shiny metal. She sneakily unlocked Elvis's door whilst she looked around suspiciously. She heard a click as she slowly pushed open Elvis's door. She quietly stepped into the dark room. Her doll eyes scanned the room briefly before she shut the door.

She flicked a light switch, and she watched as the luxurious room light up. It was beautiful. A large vanity sat itself next to the bathroom door, and a grand king bed was placed neatly next to a wall. Her heels hit the purple carpet beneath her as she explored the room. She walked up to the nightstand. It seemed that Elvis had already been in here since his wallet and belongings were sitting there. She carefully grabbed the wallet with her small hands and opened it. Her sparkling eyes widened as she saw the hundred dollar bills that were stashed in there like they were nothing. But her eyes were quickly hooded when she saw a small picture in a small pocket within the wallet. Her fingers slid into the pocket and pulled out the thin paper.

It was Elvis doing a funny pose with another woman. The woman had jet black hair, just like Elvis's. She was wearing an expensive looking dress. Her hand was placed on his face. Aria's heart sunk and shattered as she saw the large diamond ring on the woman's finger. It couldn't be. She turned the picture over to reveal Elvis's hand righting. It read,

"My beautiful wife."

Aria seemed to be stuck or even frozen. Her fists bawled, and her cheeks grew red. Her teeth grinded against eachover.

"Wife, my ass."

She said through her teeth to herself as she forcefully shoved the picture back into the wallet. She threw the wallet onto the nightstand before walking over to the vanity. She bent down to look into her reflection. She began to apply some makeup. Her hands were trembling with anger as she did so.

"He is mine, and I'll prove it."

She said as she angrily applied her lip gloss. Once she was done, she stormed over to the king bed and sat herself down. She hid her anger by plastering a mistevious grin on her smug face. Her hands ran through her blonde hair before she brushed out any creases in her sexy dress. She crossed her model legs and waited patiently for Elvis.

Not long after, the door knob moved and jolted until the door pushed open. The light from the hallway shot into the room before Elvis stood tall in the doorway. He closed the door and slipped his shoes off. He placed his stuff onto the small table that stood beside the door. Aria's smile only grew wider. Elvis turned around. He furrowed his brows and froze for a moment. He looked at Aria in horror. Aria played with her hair as she waited for Elvis to speak.

"What are you doing here? How did you even get in here?!"

He said as he raised his voice. His fists clenched as he looked at Aria, who stood up from the bed. She slowly walked over to him.

"Don't worry about that."

She said as she stepped closer to him. Her alluring eyes locked with his icey blues.

"What do you want?"

He asked in a fed up tone as he realised who she was. Aria's brows furrowed, and she stepped closer.

"I just wanted to suprise you. What's wrong with that?"

"You fucking broke into my hotel room goddammit!"

Elvis shouted as his eyes filled with fury. This only feuled Aria's ego. She put her index finger against his plump lips as her other hand rested on his chest.

"Hush baby, no need to get angry."

She whispered seductively as she felt his hot breath on her face. Elvis's chest rose up and down.

"You need to leave."

He said sternly. Aria was only inches away from his handsome face. It was so crazy that she was able to haunt Elvis. She was like his shadow.

"Aww, come on, we can have some fun."

She said as she looked into his dreamy eyes.

"I have a wife."

He said as he broke eyecontact. Aria looked at him with a grin on her face.

"Well, that didn't stop you last time, did it?"

She giggled softly. Elvis rolled his eyes before looking at her.

"I'm not like that anymore, I'm a changed man."

He said.

"Oh shut up, don't bullshit me. You can't be a "changed man" in a month."

Aria looked at him as her eyes hooded. Elvis didn't reply. He just looked to the floor. Aria carresed his cheek with her fingers, she looked up at him.

"I know you want me."

She whispered. No reply.

"I can treat you better then that basic bitch can. I can make you feel real good."

No reply. She was so menacing and alluring, something about her was so magnetic. It was like she had a secret power.

"I'll make ya wish that you put the ring on my finger. Just let me make ya feel -"

Her sentence was suddenly interrupted as Elvis grabbed her head and kissed her aggressively. His hands got trapped on her hair as his tongue danced around hers. Aria's hands trailed his body before he forcefully picked her body up. She wrapped her legs around his waist as her hands latched onto his face as she kissed him. He walked over to the bed and placed her on the satin sheets. She looked up at him as he began to unbutton his trousers. Her menacing grin appeared once again. She bit her lip as she watched him strip. Once he was bare, he hiked Aria's dress up to her waist and pulled her panties off aggressively. He threw them to the floor. He dragged her body towards his and began to thrust into her like it was his last day. He was so aggressive and strong yet so sexy and handsome. Her moans filled the room as her body bounced up and down. Her angelic moans were like music to his ears. Elvis grunted into her ear like an animal. His big hands gripped her waist tightly. He said before chuckling. Aria smiled before sitting up. Elvis walked over to his wardrobe and got changed into some boxers. He grabbed a t-shirt of his and threw it at Aria. Aria looked up at him confused.

"Put it on, you're staying here with me."

Elvis said. A large smile invaded Aria's face as she looked at him. Her heart began to beat faster as her blood coursed through her veins. Her dimpled cheeks and ruby lips enhanced as he looked at her. She quickly put the clothes on like it was her mission. Elvis lay down in the bed as he watched her change. Once she finished, she turned around to look at Elvis.

"C'mere honey."

He said with his southern drawl as he looked at her with a grin. She walked over to him, and she was pulled into his arms. She lay on top of him as he cuddled her like a baby. His hands stroked her body as his breath blew on her. This was all she ever wanted, and she got it. The smell of his cologne and the heat of his body. It was pure bliss. She smelt of white roses and felt as fragile and satiny as her hair. She lifted her head to look into his glittering eyes. She smiled as she looked at him. His long eyelashes and thick brows were so angelic and sexy. He bent his head down towards her and placed a candy sweet kiss onto her forehead, making her eyes flutter shut. She had finally got what she wanted.

Ultraman X propaganda:

X canonically lost his physical form and lives in Daiichi's phone. His presence caused Daiichi's phone to turn gold, instead of the standard-issue silver the rest of XIO's employees have. It's possible for XIO's scientists to send powerups to X because he lives on Daiichi's phone. There's also a couple episodes where X gets trapped in cyberspace and Dr. Gourman and friends have to design something for Daiichi to help him escape. (Dr. Gourman is the first to notice Daiichi is secretly Ultraman X. Also in the crossover movie, Daiichi and X got separated and X couldn't live on Daiichi's phone so he jumped to the nearest computer (which belonged to Naomi from Ultraman Orb, air date 2016) and began pulling up photos of Daiichi in a "Have You Seen This Nerd?" sort of way. The enemy goons saw Naomi and her cryptid hunting gang putting up missing posters for Daiichi and tore them down bc they had him captured at their crystal witch's base, a creepy haunted house. Eventually when Daiichi and X reunited as man and lil alien on his phone, they were so happy they ignored everyone else in the room. They were grateful enough to fight alongside Naomi's sad space cowboy, Kurenai Gai, in battle.

He's used the phone's vibration function a few times to try and get people's attention, and he doesn't like being turned face-down because he can't see. In order to take on a physical form he has to essentially fuse with his human partner Daichi. (also they get a power up form after Daichi nearly Dies to save him and it's rainbow themed.) While X is very chatty and enjoys talking with his partner, he's often a formless voice while they're fused.The exception being one occasion where he looks like an entire network. tldr this alien is gay he is very polite and deserves your vote.

I didn't answer you, because

1. The last couple of days my head was moving in between the Moon and Mars, and I'm not sure if I would have been able to remain respectful.

2. I'm getting tired of all these anons coming to my infobox and, for the lack of a better expression, trying to take the piss out of me. If you read my posts you know that he's one of my favourite players, and that I'm not mindless hater about any of our players, but especially not towards him.

3. You were being very condescending and annoying.

But buckle up my dear salty anon.

Dominik, naturally, is an offensive minded midfielder. At Leipzig, he basically played as a wide 10 (or occasional RW) and for the most part he does the same for Hungary. In both teams he was a pressing monster, his pressing is arguably one of the best in the current Liverpool squad as well. The difference is, that in both teams he had other midfielders behind him. He still had defensive duties, but not this current caliber. In Hungary he plays one of the hardest and most taxing roles: he drops deep to collect the ball, helps the build up from deep, and he contributes a LOT in defense, but he also has freedom to roam around the pitch, and enjoys the other midfielders support when he appears in the final third.

In Liverpool, he is a box-to-box midfielder. A different role, and not just a different role in midfield, but he is a midfielder under Klopp, played in the RHS in a triangle with Salah and Trent. Salah is our main goalscorer, Trent is our main creator. His job is to provide a stable link up between the two, allowing them to express themselves freely, offer his support, keep the width when needed, etc etc. Without him doing this, that rhs can't function properly. And this is just one of his many responsibilities. When Trent inverts into midfield he drops back into either help out (Ibou), or takes up completely the RB position. A position he has never played, by the way. He's constantly pressing, constantly running, constantly covering/contributing in defensive duties. He is the 5th fastest player this season. Other than his pressing, his other great quality is his off-ball work. Again, arguably, his awareness and intelligence when it comes to that is one of the best in the current squad. I encourage you to watch back some of our recent matches and take notice of him instead of the one giving the assist/scoring, many cases, without his efforts it wouldn't get to the point of it being a goal scoring opportunity.

I'm not going to argue with you and say that his passing hasn't looked a bit off in certain matches, that he didn't have some bad first touches or unnecessary long shots. He did. But please also think about all these NEW and constant duties, (other than the pressing& off-ball work), doesn't come natural to him at all and how these can affect his performance in the final third. Yes, it's an excuse,but a reasonable one in my opinion, maybe not for you, whatever.

All in all, it's easy to fail when you have been shifted from a role of being supported to being the one who is the constant and many times only support. Mind it, this is happening in a much more physical, much more demanding and stronger league. It's no wonder fatigue and eventually injury caught up to him. Other than Endo (and he only had like 5-6 starters in the PL), all of our starting midfielders struggled with injuries throughout the season, Domi was the last one to go down.

Anyways, this is the last time I did this. I'm so sick and tired, especially now with all the hate towards him, having the same conversation again and again. You think he's a bad, selfish person with a big ego, who insults and makes fun of his teammates etc etc. I'm not here to change your mind. But maybe try at least watching football with your eyes open before you start accusing one of the team's most selfless and most hard-working players, who is literally out injured (and likely very upset and heartbroken about that) because he tried to give his everything for his club, manager, teammates and fans.

He had to remain vigilant in case of an attack or a monster, and trying to focus on what Jaskier was saying would be distracting.

But, on the other hand, they were on a section of road surrounded by fields. For miles, there would be very few places for bandits or any monster too deadly to hide. Geralt would almost certainly see them long before they became a threat. So, he agreed.

“Alright. I’m listening.”

“Ok. So there are 5 organs of communication.” Geralt watched from the corner of his eye as Jaskier counted them off on his fingers.

The head

The heart

The gut

The groin

The arms

“You’re very good with the 1st and the 5th organs. The head refers to things you state. They are a matter of fact. No ifs ands or buts about them. You’ve proven to excel at this in the past several months. And the arms refer to non-verbal communication that is instead conveyed through action. Again. You excel at this.”

To prove his point, and to be an ass, Geralt raises an eyebrow at him and smirks while spreading the arm that is currently not busy guiding Roach.

Jaskier laughs and gently smacks the arm now extended towards him. “Yes. Exactly. However, you are lacking in the other three departments.”

Lowering his arm, Geralt asks, “so how do I go about fixing that? I’m not even sure I completely understand how the first 4 work. I’m communicating with my mouth and voice. Is that what you mean by head? And if that’s the case, I would have thought I was doing just fine with groin.”

Jaskier swats his arm again.

“Yes and no. In that regard, what you’re doing with your groin falls under arms.”

“Hmm.”

“Let me give you examples.”

Jaskier seems to take a moment to think.

“If I was going to tell you ‘I want you to come here’ there are 5 different ways I could go about that.”

“The 5th being arms. I could simply make eye contact with you. Point at you and then the ground. You would understand what that meant, yes?”

“Yes, Geralt exactly. The 1st one being head where I simply say to you ‘I want you to come here.’ And you would understand it to be a simple request.”

“Hmm.”

“But, if I were to make the same statement using my heart,” Jaskier’s eyes got bigger and his posture less ridged. When he continued, his voice was soft and breathy like when they’re lying together at night and just talking, “I want you to come here.”

Oh. Geralt had always been aware of how Jaskier would talk when it was just the two of them. How it would feel different, like now.

He’s tried to do that before, but it had never quite had the same effect. Like it was just… incorrect “I’ve tried that”, he tells Jaskier, “but it just doesn’t work right.”

“You mean when you look at me very intensely and get quieter?”

“Yes.”

“Well… that is part of it. But this isn’t about volume, or what your eyes are doing. It’s about what feeling you’re letting yourself have as you say it.”

Hmmm. That made sense. Even now, when letting his thoughts be known, Geralt struggled with the emotions part.

“So what’s gut?”

“But you haven’t tried heart yet!”

Geralt leveled a look at Jaskier that made it clear he needed to move on for now.

“Oh, all right. The 3rd is statements made in reaction. There isn’t much thought to them, like a gut reaction or when you have to make a decision in the moment.” Jaskier’s voice got louder and more rushed, “I want you to come here!”

Geralt moved closer to Jaskier on instinct. The almost fear in his voice had him going before he could remember this was an example.

“Ah. I think I understand this one. It’s fear.”

“Well,” Jaskier drawled, “it can be. It can also be excitement, or anger, or any other number of emotions. Much like heart can be hurt or longing and not just love. It’s just reactionary. Truth to the heads fact.”

This was getting confusing. How could it be fear but also other things? Geralt decided he’d need time to think about this and it was probably better to keep going. “So what is groin?”

“Ah,” Jaskier’s demeanor changed once again. It was one Geralt was very familiar with, he’d watched Jaskier adapt it with men and women all over the continent for decades. He’s been on the receiving end of it as of late and had grown fond of the change in Jaskier’s stance, the sway of his hips, the light in his eyes. He’d even seen Jaskier adopt it with a particularly good meal when they’d been getting by on what Geralt could hunt for too long.

When Jaskier spoke, it was low and gravely, and sent a shiver down Geralt’s spine. “I want you to come here.”

“Desire. And not just lust.”

Jaskier’s stance and voice changed once again, the change almost jarring, “Yes! Exactly. The wanting something so badly you can feel it.”

“Hmm. That one makes more sense.”

“Yes, you aren’t terrible at groin, but you tend to only use it when you’re horny and I insist you use your words. You could be using it for so many other things. And don’t give me the you want nothing speech again. I know that’s bullshit.”

“I wasn’t going to.”

“Good!”

“I’m going to need some time to think on all of this, but in the meantime,” Geralt wrapped his free arm around Jaskier’s waist and gently pulled him into his side. Then, putting as much groin into his voice as he could, “telling me you want me got me hard. There’s no one around for miles.”

Geralt enjoyed watching a blush creep up Jaskier’s neck and hearing his heart speed up.

“Not going to say ‘no’ to that, dear witcher.”

My D&D 5e Character Build for Alastor

Yep, Alastor was tricky to build.

Alastor, the mysterious Overlord benefactor who protects the Hazbin Hotel, but has ulterior motives we have yet to discover. Always grinning, and always there when you need him and when you don't want him around.

Lost post below with spoilers.

Stats (In order from Top to Lowest)

Charisma: Top Stat Alastor is the Radio Demon, Hell top Radio Host for a reason. We want this as high as possible.

Wisdom: 2nd Highest Alastor seems to notice when someone is hiding something from him. Such as Carmine Camilla at the Overlord meeting and whenever Vaggie is irritated.

Dexterity: 3rd Highest Alastor was able to dodge Adam's sloppy attacks with ease.

Constitution: 4th Highest Alastor had to retreat after a brutal hit from Adam.

Intelligence: 5th Highest Alastor isn't dumb, but he relies on his power and manipulation to get what he wants.

Strength: Dump Stat.

You're never fully dressed without a smile.

Race

For this build, we're going to go with Variant Human.

Put a point into Charisma and use the other point to round out any odd number score.

For the Feat, take War Caster. This will let Alastor roll his concentration with advantage and he can cast a spell instead of melee attack.

Selection Insight for skill proficiency.

As for Background, choose Entertainer which nets Alastor proficiency in Performance and Acrobatics.

First appearance of the Radio Demon

We're going to start with Warlock. Season 1 revealed Alastor answers to another power, whom I suspect is the source of his power. Hence a patron, and Warlocks spell modifier is their Charisma.

Level 1 - Warlock 1st Level

Saving Throws are Charisma and Wisdom.

Skills Proficiencies, choose Deceptions and Intimation

Alastor gets two cantrips and two spells. I'm going to choose spells based on the powers we've witnessed him use and based on his personality.

Cantrips

Eldritch Blast - (This is a must have for Warlocks. Flavor it anyway you like). A spell range attack for 1d10 force damage. The damage goes up as Alastor levels up in.

Toll the Dead - an enemy Alastor can see within range must make a Wisdom saving throw or take 1d8 necrotic damage. If the enemy is missing any hit points, it takes 1d12 instead. The damage goes up as Alastor levels up.

Spells

Arms of Hadar - This is right up Alastor's alley. Dark tendrils erupt in a 10 ft radius. Any creature in the area must make a Strength saving throw; on a failure, they take 2d6 necrotic damage and cannot take any reactions that turn. On a success, they only take half damage, but not other effects.

Hex - Alastor can select an enemy to take another 1d6 necrotic damage whenever damaged by an attack. Alastor can also choose an ability for the target to have disadvantage on checks with that ability.

Alastor's true face?

At level 1, Warlocks choose their patron. Since we don't know who Alastor has a deal with, I'm choosing the most appropriate patron for this build.

Patron: The Undead

Form of Undead - as a bonus action, Alastor can change his form for 1 minute for the following benefits:

Gain temporary hit points equal 1d10 + Warlock Level

Once during a turn, if Alastor hits an enemy, he can impose an Wisdom saving throw, on a failure, they become frightened of him until the end of his next turn.

Alastor becomes immune to the frightened condition

He can transform as many times as his proficiency bonus which refreshes after a long rest.

He also gains two spells added to his spell list.

Bane - Alastor can select up to three creatures who must make Charisma saving throws. On a fail, they must roll a 1d4 and subtract the number from any attack roll or saving throw until the spell ends. (This will be very useful as a lot of Alastor's spells and abilities depend on targets failing saving throws).

False Life - Alastor can bolster himself with 1d4 + 4 temporary hit points.

Alastor has a habit of unnerving people.

Level 2 - Warlock 2nd Level

At this level, Alastor gains Eldritch Invocations.

Agonizing Blast - adds Charisma modifier to damage roll for Eldritch Blast

Armor of Shadows - cast Mage Armor at will (adds 13 + Dex modifier) for AC so long as Alastor isn't wearing armor.

He also gains a new spell.

Charm Person - a target that fails a Charisma saving throw is charmed by Alastor who views him as a friendly face.

And more spells from his patron.

Blindness/Deafness - Alastor chooses a target that must pass a Con save or be blind or deafened.

Phantasmal Force - Alastor creates an elaborate illusion to fool enemies who must make an Intelligence save to see through it.

Level 3 - Warlock 3rd Level

This level Alastor gains Pact of the Talisman. Assume it's his radio staff which lets him roll a 1d4 and add the result to a failed saving throw. It can be done equal to his proficiency bonus and refreshed after a long rest.

Alastor gets a new spell:

Flock of Familiars - For one hour, Alastor can summon three familiars to do his bidding.

From his patron, he also gets the spells Phantom Steed and Speak with Dead. Not anything we've seen him do before, but better to have than not have.

Alastor always has a smile, even when he's pissed.

Level 4 - Warlock 4th Level

Ability Score Improvement - Put both points into Charisma to buff up Alastor's spell casting and Charisma checks.

New spell - Misty Step: as a bonus action, Alastor can teleport himself 30 ft.

He also gains two more spells from his patron:

Death Ward - Alastor can touch an ally and give it protection from death. When the ally drops to 0 hits points, instead they remain standing with 1 hit point.

Greater Invisibility - Alastor or an ally he can touch can go invisible for one minute.

Level 5 - Warlock 5th Level

Alastor get a new Eldritch Invocation:

Maddening Hex - When using the Hex spell, Alastor can use a bonus action to deal psychic damage to the target and any creature within 5 ft of it. The damage equals his Charisma modifier so long as the target is within 30 ft.

Alastor receives a new spell.

Hunger of Hadar - Alastor creatures a space of darkness and tentacles in a 20 foot radius. Any creature starting their turn there takes 2d6 cold damage.

From his patron, Alastor receives two more spells.

Antilife Shell - A barrier surrounds 10 ft radius of Alastor, protecting him from melee attacks.

Cloud Kill - Alastor creates a 20 radius cloud forcing any creatures within it to make Con saves or take full 5d8 poison damage. Half on a successful save.

Level 6 - Warlock 6th Level

Another boon from his patron, Grave Touch, Alastor can replace a damage die with necrotic damage. When he is in his Form of Dread, he can add an extra die of necrotic damage on a sucessful hit.

New spell: Summon Shadowpawn - Alastor can summon a shadowy spirit to aid him in battle.

Old pal . . .?

We're leaving Warlock behind to go into Sorcerer which uses Charisma as a spell modifier as well. It will also net Alastor more spells as well as Sorcery Points to cause major damage to enemies.

Level 7 - Sorcerer 1st Level

For Sorcerous Origin, we're going with Shadow Magic for good reason.

Alastor gets Eyes of the Dark which gives him Darkvision of 120 feet.

And he gets Strength of the Grave, when Alastor's hit points get reduced to 0, he can make a Charisma saving throw (DC 5 + damaged taken). On a success he can retain 1 hit point. This ability cannot be used if the damaged taken is radiant or a critical hit. He can use this ability again after a long rest.

At first level Sorcery, Alastor gains four new cantrips and two spells from the Sorcerer's spell list.

Cantrips

Mage Hand - a shadowy hand Alastor controls can manipulate objects.

Chill Touch - a spell attack that deals 1d8 necrotic damage and prevents target from regaining hit points that round of combat.

Friends - gives Alastor advantage on any Charisma checks against the target.

Message - Alastor can whisper a message only the target can hear within 120 ft.

Spells

Comprehend Languages - Alastor can understand any language in spoken or written word.

Chaos Bolt - A mass of chaotic energy hits a target for 2d8 + 1d6 damage for random damage type.

The Radio Demon . . .

Level 8 - Sorcerer 2nd Level

Alastor gains Font of Magic. He receives two Sorcery Points and gains more as as he levels up. These points can be used as a bonus action to create spell slots and/or convert a spell slot into Sorcery Points.

He also gets a new spell: Magic Missile - he launches magical darts that won't miss hitting their target, dealing 1d4 + 1 force damage.

Level 9 - Sorcerer 3rd Level

With Metamagic, Alastor use Sorcery Points to twist magic in his favor and devastate his enemies. Choose the follow:

Quickened Spell - spending 2 Sorcery Points lets Alastor cast a spell requiring an action, to be a bonus action instead.

Heightened Spell - when Alastor casts a spell that requires the target to make a saving throw, he can spend 3 Sorcery Points to impose a disadvantage on the roll.

Shadow Magic grants him the Darkness spell. He can create a magical darkness for a 15 ft radius that not even creatures with darkvision could see through nor can non-magical light illuminate the area. If Alastor uses Sorcery Points to create it, he can see through it.

New spell from the Sorcerer spell list: Enlarge/Reduce - Alastor can choose a target (himself) to increase his size.

Level 10 - Sorcerer 4th Level

Ability Score Improvement - Both points go into Charisma to max it out, making Alastor's spells more lethal.

New cantrip: Thunderclap - Alastor creates a burst of sound around 5 ft of him, forcing creatures to succeed on a Con save or take 1d6 thunder damage.

New spell: Chromatic Orb - Alastor creates an orb of a chosen type of damage; on a hit it deals 3d8 damage.

Level 11 - Sorcerer 5th Level

Alastor now has Magical Guidance; he can spent a Sorcery Point to reroll a failed ability check, but must take the second roll.

New Spell: Fear - Alastor creates a phantasmal image of a creature's worst nightmare. Creatures in a 30 ft cone must make a Wisdom save or be frightened.

Level 12 - Sorcerer 6th Level

Since Alastor likes summoning darklings to do his bidding, he gets an ability that lets him summon something special.

Hound of Ill Omen - as a bonus action he can spend 3 Sorcery Points to summon a shadow hound with the dire wolf stats.

New spell: Thunder Step - Alastor can teleport himself within 90 feet. Immediately after he leaves a space, each creature within 10 ft of that point must make a Con save or take a full 3d10 thunder damage or half damage on a success.

Alastor summons an armor of shadow creatures.

Level 13 - Sorcerer 7th Level

Alastor gets a new spell: Conjure Shadow Demon - Alastor summons a shadow to fight for him. As long as the creature is in shadows or dim light and can attack enemies, it'll obey Alastor. If the requirements are not met, then Alastor must make a Charisma check to keep it under control.

Level 14 - Sorcerer 8th Level

At this level, Alastor can do an Ability Score Improve, with points going into Charisma, but if it's already maxed out, Alastor should take a feat instead.

Choose Metamagic Adept - This will give Alastor an extra 2 Sorcery Points and two Metamagic options. Choose the following:

Seeking Spell - If Alastor fails on a ranged attack spell, he can spend 2 Sorcery Point to reroll and take the second result.

Subtle Spell - spending 1 Sorcery Point lets Alastor cast a spell without any somatic or verbal components. (Like when he snapped his fingers and shadow demons appeared to fix the hole in the hotel).

He also gets a new spell.

Spirit of Death - Alastor can summon a reaper to help him in battle until he dismisses it or its reduced to 0 hit points.

Alastor uses magic to change people's appearances.

Level 15 - Sorcerer 9th Level

Alastor gains a new spell: Seeming - Allows Alastor to change the appearances of targets such as changing them into early 1900s outfits.

Level 16 - Sorcerer 10th Level

Alastor gains two more Metamagic options. Select:

Empowered Spell - when Alastor rolls for damage with a spell, he can spend 1 Sorcery Point to reroll any damaged equal to his Charisma modifier and take the second result.

Transmuted Spell - Alastor can spend 1 Sorcery Point to change the damaged type of a spell to  acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder. Really useful if the enemy is vulnerable to any of those types of damage.

Alastor gains a new spell: Enervation - A black tendrils extends from Alastor to touch a target to drain their life. The target must make a Dex save to take only 2d8 necrotic damage, on a failed save the target takes 4d8 necrotic damage and until the spell ends, Alastor can use an action to deal another 4d8 necrotic damage each turn. When the spell ends, Alastor regains hit pints equal half of the damage the target had taken.

He also gains a new cantrip: Acid Splash - Alastor hurls a bubble of acid forcing target to make a Dex saving throw. On a failure, they take 1d6 acid damage. Damage die goes up as Alastor levels up.

Level 17 - Sorcerer 11th Level

Alastor gains a new spell.

Circle of Death - Alastor creates a sphere of negative energy, each creature within the circle must make a Con save. On a failure they take 8d6 necrotic damage or half damage on a successful save.

Level 18 - Sorcerer 12th Level

This level Alastor gains Ability Score Improvement. If Charisma isn't already maxed out, go ahead and max it out. If it is, then let's take a feat.

Observant - increase Alastor's Wisdom score by one and adds +5 to his Passive Wisdom (Perception) and Passive Intelligence (Investigation) scores. And he can now read lips.

Level 19 - Sorcerer 13th Level

Alastor gains a new spell, Finger of Death - a spell attack forcing a target to make a Con saving throw. On a failure they take 7d8 + 30 necrotic damage. On a successful save, they take half damage. If a creature is killed by this attack, they instantly come back as a zombie under Alastor's command.

Level 20 - Sorcerer 14th Level

From Shadow Magic Alastor gains Shadow Walk. When Alastor is in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action, he can teleport up to 120 ft to another point in dim light or darkness.

And to top off this character build, Alastor gets one more spell.

Power Word: Pain - Alastor's utters a word of power to cause intense pain to an enemy. If the target has less than a 100 hit points, it experiences crippling pain. Crippling pain reduces the target's speed to 10 and has disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws, save for Con saves. If the target attempts to case a spell while under this spell's effect, they must make a Con save to do so. On a failure, the spell is wasted. The effects of Alastor's spell ends until the target succeeds on a Con save at the end of one of its turns.

Alastor is a powerful being of shadows and fear.

And there you have it. With powerful Warlock spells he refreshes after a short rest, paired with even more powerful Sorcery spells enhanced with Metamagic, Alastor is a forced to be reckoned using shadows and necrotic spells to cause the denizens of Hell to fear the Radio Demon.

Given the naming pattern with Yoruichi and Yuushirou reading "Night 1" and "Night 4 Son", it would follow that Chika's name here reads as "1000 Days" or "1000th Day" A curious notion when the Shihouin crest has a moon on it, which was obviously where the night motif in the later heirs came from. Is Chika a blacksheep of the family for not having a night name? Or did the Shihouin change their motif at some point from day/sun to night/moon?

And very noticeably he's wearing what looks like a chinese style of lamellar belt(it's hard to say when there isn't an accompanying suit of armor to go with it) but it evokes to me a lot of Ming dynasty period pieces(or alternatively very anime-ass Romance of the Three Kingdoms designs) and incidentally Journey To The West was written in the Ming Dynasty, and combined with his complexion and his distinctive Xiangyun[祥云]:"auspicious clouds" scarf (and of course my ongoing crackpot theory about there being an unspoken theme of pre-Japanese Buddhism underlying the foundation of Soul Society) makes me think he's specifically Indian but having travelled East across China(or whatever the Soul Society equivalents are)

Makes him sound like a wild stallion type who was only tamed by being bribed with wealth and luxury. At first glance I had pegged him for a cold corporate or medical type, but looking at him again he has a certain yakuza look about him too. Less an overt thug and more a grifter, a penny pincher, a coldblooded loan shark type, and this name seems to vibe with that. It's hard to tell but it looks like he has the archetypal yakuza/laborer bellywarmer like Tetsuzaemon did too.

Shi[志]: "Will/Resolution/Ambition"

Jima[島]: "Island"

Kiri[霧]: "Mist/Fog/Haze"

Same root word Shi[志] as in the Shiba family and in Okikiba Genshiro's given name. Weird that all three of these are associated with the water; waves/ripples, islands, and distant waters.

The given name is fun because it seems to describe him as wise but in a hazy way, his wisdom is obscured or unclear; whether that means it's unclear to others, or even to him isn't clear. Either one seems to fit his kind of disheveled appearance.

Now that we can see him properly, he kind of reminds me of Wonderweiss.

On the one hand the compound [尾花] appears to refer to "(ear of) Japanese pampas grass" which is also known as the Chinese Silver Grass. But it's also part of the compound [鸟尾花] refering to the Crossandra infundibuliformis, the Firecracker Flower. And also [鸢尾花] referring to irises in general. Since, as the 5th division captain, he's not the one with an iris insignia, I'm going to go with the silver grass reference. It does evoke a certain rugged and pastoral landscape that seems to suit the rustic almost hick-ish vibe he has going on.

As for Bullet baby.... I have no idea what to make of it...

"Wisteria-like" has obvious evocations in her hair color and pigtails. The given name all together is actually a phrase meaning "immortality/perpetual youth." Pretty straight forward.

Ok, first of all... "Deer Extraction"??? And then her given name is either "Penname: Cloud" or if taken together [雲齋]: "cotten drill" as in the twill weave fabric used for things like khakis?? But that feels like a weird way to go. She is quite bookish looking (i mean... as if she can avoid it in the proximity of Nanao and Risa...) so perhaps she's an author on the side? Hence the penname. But as for the deer collecting... it feels like a weird way to phrase it, but I'm assume it's trying to conjure a disney princess-like scene of her attracting deer to her to show her purity and trustworthiness? Maybe???

Also she has a distinctive, Zhōngguó jié[中國結]: "Chinese knot" ornament at the end of her naginata(?) which wasn't shown in the poster. Although the coloration on this sheet is oddly gold rather than the more typical red. What is probably the most common and recognizable design is the Pán zhǎng jié[盤長結], sometimes called an "endless knot" or "eternal knot" and is used to represent various Buddhist virtues.

He sounds and looks very much like a jailer/torturer, not unlike some vibes Urahara's backstory gave off. Kumoi's zanpakuou is also a Tiěbiān[鐵鞭], a sectioned iron rod, part of a broader family of weapons/tools all called "iron whips."

Interestingly it's the same type of weapon Sui-feng's bankai, Jakuhou Raikouben[雀蜂雷公鞭], is named after.

To[途]: "Road/Way"

"King's Way River" is a very pompous sounding family name... Interestingly the name Furuoki uses the kanji [雨] for rain, but is pronounced here like furu[降る] which is the verb for "to fall" referring specifically to rain or snow. The "Era of Rain(fall) String." It might be a stretch but I want to interpret that as the lines of rain falling being equated to the string of an instrument, and by proxy comparing the sound of rain fall as music.

But alternatively it could be another play into Kubo's on-again-off-again rain symbolism. Sometimes it's Ichigo's depression, sometimes it's Uryuu's legacy as the last Quincy, sometimes it's Orihime making confusing statements about joining earth and heaven, in direct contradiction to her Tanabata namesake... Is it "The Rule of Rainfall" as in the downpour comes eventually no matter how you run from it? Or as in, heaven and earth are joined eventually if your just wait? Or as in heavens will be clouded over and separated eventually? Or as in, relief comes eventually and even the worst drought can't last forever?

Zenjou[善定] Jiuhin[寺有嬪]

Zen'[善]:"Virtue/Goodness/Good deeds

Jou[定]: "certainty/reality/samadhi"

Ji[寺]: "temple"

U[有]: "bhava/becoming/existence"

Hin'[嬪]: "court lady/virtuous woman/concubine"

So I can't quite tell if Kubo's just leaning into the on'yomi here, or if he's specifically aiming for a Chinese reading. I want to say On'yomi, but it is fairly close to the Chinese reading Shàndìng[善定] Sìyǒupín[寺有嬪] it's just the dìng[定] vs jou[定] throwing a wrench in it. And I'm hung up on Jiuhin's name sounding Chinese because with the mandarin style collared shirt and the fact that he has... for some reason two... queue... it all points to a distinctly Chinese influence in the design.

Arguably the face paint could also be pulled erroneously from the brooder aesthetic of Chinese opera --as in maybe Kubo was going for a Chinese opera inspired look, but what's here definitely isn't accurate to the style-- but it feels very in line with Kubo's own funky sensibilities either way.

Hone[骨]: "Bone"

Sai[才]:"Talent/Ability"

....the idea that this decrepit old man is named "Reverse Bones" as if he's like that because his bones are just "wrong" is for some reason hilarious and horrifying to me. "Hidden Talent" seems self-explanatory given he looks like he should barely be able to move, let alone fight or kill a person.

Hi Kat, I went to a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Fifth last night and it made me think of you!

If you’re still down to answer a fruit ask, I was wondering if I might submit:

🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?

But also perhaps as a bit of a more specific play on the question: how might you pair (either just in your head or as a future writing endeavour) some of your fave characters to write with some of your favourite music (a la All About the Bass)? Or perhaps are there characters that you associate with certain music outside of your own taste?

M! How lovely for you to think of me 🥰  How was the performance? I am not very familiar with Tchaikovsky’s 5th other than that famous melody in the second movement, but you really can't go wrong with Tchaikovsky!

This is such a fantastic question!  I really wanted to give it some thought and things got a little out of hand lol.  My favorite symphony is Mahler 1 “Titan” which was originally considered a symphonic poem.

I love music that paints a mental picture.  I’ve had the pleasure of performing it twice and each time as I have worked on it, I have daydreamed about the scenes happening as I play.  So, I started thinking about what a fic inspired by Mahler 1 would look like and which Pedro boy belonged in that world.  Here’s what I came up with… (movement titles are my own interpretation)

Movement 1: Tuning the Universe

We open with sunrise; the world is waking up.  Something about it is unusual though—the colors are too bright, the flowers too plentiful.  We realize we are in the realm of the fae.  Our hero, Javi Gutierrez, stretches and considers the world around him.  He basks in the sunshine and greets the woodland creatures.  His fellow fae go about their business while he frolics through a meadow.  He comes upon a stream and notices you, a human woman, washing clothes.  Since you are in the human realm, you are shadowed in gray, not the vibrant colors of Javi’s fae world, but he is captivated by you.  You are so beautiful, even in shadows.  But you seem sad, resigned to your gray life.  He watches you as you go about your work, staying just out of sight. Eventually you make your way back to your people-- a group of travellers.  He watches you as you take your place among them and can’t follow any longer.  He turns back to his frolicking, thinking about you.

Movement 2: A Wine-Soaked Evening

It’s late that night and the fae are having a celebration.  The wine flows as they perform courtly dances and mating rituals.  Javi watches the revelry from afar, still thinking about you from earlier.  He imagines bringing you to the fae dance – how you would spin and twirl with flowers in your hair.  His thoughts drift to the end of the evening, when the fae are drunk off their wine and the dances are no longer crisp and choreographed, but slow and syrupy.  Partners drift off into the woods for sleep and other activities.  Javi imagines kissing you in the moonlight, your soft skin and sleepy smile.  He drifts off to sleep thinking of you.

Movement 3: A Dirge

You awake to your gray life amongst the travellers, the drudgery of moving from one encampment to the next wears on you.  You can’t bring yourself to enjoy the spirited music you once did.  You feel like something is missing from your life. Suddenly, your dream from the night before rushes back to you.  You were dancing with a beautiful, golden man in the forest.  The world was sparkling with life and color, you felt so alive… so whole.  You realize that you are in love with this man in your dream.  Too quickly, the dream fades into the background and you are back in the gray, monotony of your life.

Movement 4: To the Rescue

Javi watches as your group walks along the road.  He shouldn’t have come to try to see you again, but he couldn’t resist.  As he watches, your procession is attacked by raiders!  He rushes down to your aid and bravely fights against the attackers, but he is only one man, even if he is fae.  He calls out to his fae brothers and just when hope seems lost, they arrive to save the day!  The raiders are successfully fought off.  In the aftermath, he searches for you to make sure you are ok.  He finds you and when your eyes lock you exclaim in surprise.  He’s the man from your dream!  Javi admits that as fae, he is able to enter people’s dreams and how he must have done so when he was thinking about you the night before.  Javi tells you how he had watched you and fallen in love with you.  He asks you to come back to the fae world with him.  You are surprised by the request but something in your bones calls to you that this is what you’ve been looking for.  You struggle with your decision, there are people you care about in your old life and you worry about saying goodbye, but even they can see that you have been unhappy and encourage you to go.  You tell Javi that you will, only to find out that you must leap over the chasm between the worlds in order to join the fae.  Only if you truly love the fae on the other side will you make it.  You are scared as you look to Javi on the other side, can you actually do this?  You summon all your courage and make the leap!  Javi gathers you into his arms and kisses you deeply.  The fae celebrate as fireworks light up the sky.  You and Javi run off into the fae world together hand in hand, happily ever after.

Ok, so I go to the same school as my now ex friend. We met in elementary school and he was just really weird and controlling. Also crossed a few boundaries with me physically, it wasn’t sexual but I still consider it assault or at least somewhat adjacent to it. Also, frankly? I just don’t like the bitch. So after many years of this very toxic friendship and shortly after the incident, maybe three or so years ago, I cut him off completely. Just stopped talking to him. We live in the same neighborhood and his mom is a hairdresser so I do occasionally go over to their house when he’s not there to get haircuts. I don’t have any classes with him and I’m trying to take classes at a community college over the summer so I can graduate early and reduce my chances of having to take a class with him. We do see each other in the halls occasionally and I just ignore him.

HOWEVER.

All of the English teachers in my grade had their classes do slam poetry. We had to write a poem and…I guess perform it in front of the class. I wrote mine about my weird cat, nobody reacted at all when I recited it a couple weeks ago but I was just thankful my social anxiety and I didn’t fuck it up. Then, last week, my teacher told me that I was going to represent my entire English class in the poetry slam on the 5th. So that’s very terrifying but great. Yesterday he announced this to the class and talked about some of the guest judges, one of whom I dislike because she’s been lowkey ableist in the past but whatever. The teacher also talked about the various amount of time that the teachers focused on poetry, and he brought up my ex-friend’s teacher (the library has a window into that teacher’s classroom and during my free period I noticed that he went into the classroom. I’m not stalking him I just Noticed). This prompted me to think “what are the chances he’ll be in the poetry slam. oh god please let that not be true please please please I don’t want to have to talk about how many houseplants my cat has eaten in front of him fuck fuck fuck no.”

So of course he’s also in the poetry slam.

And like. Fine. Whatever. I can deal with it. I was kind of panicking afterwards, so I went into my ethnic studies class afterwards still lowkey freaking out about it and then I remembered. We had a lesson on disability—sorry, ability, that day. The teacher made some weird word choices when talking about disability but whatever. But, one of the slides was talking about ableism, and the teacher pronounced it “ab-LEE-ism” instead of “ay-bel-ism” or “able-ism”. I didn’t want to say anything but I didn’t have to because deadass half the class was like “isn’t it pronounced able-ism” which. Shocked me because I assumed they didn’t know what ableism was. Clearly I was wrong but that was definitely the funniest way to learn that most of my classmates at least know how most people pronounce ableism.

That is an uncomfortable and triggering situation to be in, but I'm sure you'll be able to deal with it and get through it! I'm definitely wishing you the best and sending my love! I hope soon this person will be gone from your life for good. And oh my god, ablEEism? What the hell? Clearly that teacher was not exactly equipped to give lessons on it. I'm glad it got corrected, at least. Also just say DISability oh my fucking god

Weird thought (that I’m placing 5th on my priority list of WIP’s) but soulmate AU where we have Lucy Gray/Sejanus/Coryo and Treech/Pliny/Festus (long story, it barely makes sense to me how that happened) and the hunger games are postponed and then cancelled because LuCoryoJanus have a soulmate mark in an obvious spot. Soulmates share one mark, so you only know there’s more than two people when you realize you share a mark or when you trace the meaning of the mark to the people and realize one or more aspects don’t really fit either of you. Anyways, when you kiss (one of) your soulmate(s) their scent mixes with yours for a couple of hours. It’s always a good scent, and it’s kind of a physical manifestation of the soulbond fully “activating”. Please excuse the weird word choice I don’t know how to english.

Treech’s soulmark is in a spot that’s usually covered up, like his hip or something. While in the zoo he catches a brief glimpse of the top of Pliny’s because the guy took off his jacket and somehow his dress shirt untucked from his pants. I’m still working on the specifics. Immediately, Treech recognizes it and ✨panics✨ inside, because since it’s possible in this universe to never meet your soulmate at all he was honestly expecting to be one of those cases. Then later, he notices Pliny and Festus and realizes he has two soulmates. So he’s double panicking now because how is he supposed to deal with this??

Since the games are off, Dr Gaul sends the mutts after the tributes who escape from the zoo, and lucky them Coryo went to see them without Clemensia, who was sick, after kissing Lucy Gray so she’s safe. She and Treech are both performers, and they know these snakes are easily distracted by music because Coryo. So, they go to heavensbee hall where all the academy students are because there’s also microphones there and both of Treech’s soulmates. He kisses Pliny so he doesn’t die (because he knows Pliny better so it’s a safer bet for not getting his neck snapped) and then he and Lucy Gray perform Love Is An Open Door from Frozen. Due to the snakes being distracted for a whole two minutes they’ve gotten used to the scent of the other tributes and are no longer attacking. Now that their lives are no longer in danger, Treech quickly tries to escape the scene unsuccessfully, and he’s forced to have a very awkward conversation about the fact that he’s known they’re his soulmate for days and didn’t bother to tell them about it. It’s very cute, it’s a happy ending, I feel like I’m high how tf did I come up with this?
