Weird thought (that I’m placing 5th on my priority list of WIP’s) but soulmate AU where we have Lucy Gray/Sejanus/Coryo and Treech/Pliny/Festus (long story, it barely makes sense to me how that happened) and the hunger games are postponed and then cancelled because LuCoryoJanus have a soulmate mark in an obvious spot. Soulmates share one mark, so you only know there’s more than two people when you realize you share a mark or when you trace the meaning of the mark to the people and realize one or more aspects don’t really fit either of you. Anyways, when you kiss (one of) your soulmate(s) their scent mixes with yours for a couple of hours. It’s always a good scent, and it’s kind of a physical manifestation of the soulbond fully “activating”. Please excuse the weird word choice I don’t know how to english.

Treech’s soulmark is in a spot that’s usually covered up, like his hip or something. While in the zoo he catches a brief glimpse of the top of Pliny’s because the guy took off his jacket and somehow his dress shirt untucked from his pants. I’m still working on the specifics. Immediately, Treech recognizes it and ✨panics✨ inside, because since it’s possible in this universe to never meet your soulmate at all he was honestly expecting to be one of those cases. Then later, he notices Pliny and Festus and realizes he has two soulmates. So he’s double panicking now because how is he supposed to deal with this??

Since the games are off, Dr Gaul sends the mutts after the tributes who escape from the zoo, and lucky them Coryo went to see them without Clemensia, who was sick, after kissing Lucy Gray so she’s safe. She and Treech are both performers, and they know these snakes are easily distracted by music because Coryo. So, they go to heavensbee hall where all the academy students are because there’s also microphones there and both of Treech’s soulmates. He kisses Pliny so he doesn’t die (because he knows Pliny better so it’s a safer bet for not getting his neck snapped) and then he and Lucy Gray perform Love Is An Open Door from Frozen. Due to the snakes being distracted for a whole two minutes they’ve gotten used to the scent of the other tributes and are no longer attacking. Now that their lives are no longer in danger, Treech quickly tries to escape the scene unsuccessfully, and he’s forced to have a very awkward conversation about the fact that he’s known they’re his soulmate for days and didn’t bother to tell them about it. It’s very cute, it’s a happy ending, I feel like I’m high how tf did I come up with this?
