I still can't believe that I waited 16 months to get a rheumatologist appointment, and then when I arrived to get diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, he seemed to only know about arthritis and was confused as to why I was there.

#literally gave me a crumpled piece of paper with hypermobility scribbled on it and an arthritis charities name #I asked him why he didn't think I had EDS and he just said I don't diagnose that anymore #I asked what I could do about my chronic pain and all my associated problems and he didn't know #he was supposed to be a specialist joint doctor. #I begged him to at least refer me to a physio so I can try get some help and he said he would #at my next gp appointment I asked about it cos he didn't give me a date or time and my gp was like.... uhhhhh he didn't refer you at all #so she referred me instead #I just want some help with my chronic pain and my floppy joints and my migraines and my stomach problems and my troubles swallowing etc
