Larcei's first instinct is to shake free from Deirdre's grasp. She isn't some kid who needs to have her hand held whenever she's being talked to anymore, and the notion or even insinuation that she could be helped broils her blood a little. But she quickly realizes that the woman grabs her for her own sake, not that of the swordswoman. So she allows it, even if she'd respond with an eyeroll.

"Lady Deirdre, don't you know by now that you can rely on me? Seliph and I grew up under the same roof!" a fact that, while always true, admittedly had not been expressed by Larcei much before, "I won't let anything bad happen to him. That includes ruining his mental by telling him stuff he doesn't need to hear."

Now that things have been said and likely processed by Deirdre, the Isaachian pries her grip from her wrists. It takes a bit of finnicking around, but Larcei's hands are slim. Once she creates a sizeable gap, they slip right through.

But she isn't heartless. She knows Deirdre had done this for a reason, so she replaces said hands by pulling the older woman into a hug, figuring the embarrassment is well worth it on account of how obviously she needs one.

"Just promise you'll focus on your safety, too," Larcei breathes, muffled by the fabric on Deirdre's shoulder, "we got lucky last time, but Crusaders know what could be thrown at us now."
